- Jessica Figueroa: Hello, everyone. I love being here with you together. Doing this podcast with you guys has made me a better person. It's made me rethink. It's made me commit to some new things that I've learned along the way. So today, what I want to talk about is how often we ask God to give us something instead of asking God to provide us the experiences we need to gain that. Let's take confidence, for example. Have you ever prayed for confidence or courage? Have you ever prayed, Lord, I need more confidence, give me courage, give me boldness. But meanwhile, what we should be praying for is hey, God, continue to put me in environments and situations that I have to be bold, that make me be courageous. God, give me, put me there, put me in that class or that group of people or at that party or in that career that requires me to grow in my courage and boldness. So instead of asking God for, I mean, He can. He can just give it to you. But let's ask God and not take shortcuts sometimes when we're asking God for things. Let's go ahead and say, God, put me in places where I have to be courageous. Lord, put me in situations that I have to lead. Lord, put me in a situation where my wisdom is put to the test so that you can trust that you can trust me because I'm going to make wise decisions. God, today we're asking you to put us in situations to help us become more Christ-like. Not always just giving us the easy way out to mold us to be more like you. So today we're gonna shift it up a little bit and ask God to give us the experiences that will mold us into a Christ like person. Just for today. I'll see you guys tomorrow.
