- Jessica Figueroa: Hello everyone, I'm really excited. Today I have a Shell Silverstein book of poetry. Do you guys remember Shell Silverstein? my goodness. Boy did I love his poetry when I was young. And today I want to talk to you guys about poetry. Poetry is so whimsical. It just has such a way about it. And if you remember reading great poetry when you were young, I'm gonna encourage you to get some of those books again. I loved thriftbooks.com. You can find them there. Well, I loved all of Shelf Silverstein's books. And I still enjoy them. I read them with my children, but I just love the message and the meaning. So today I am going to read to you guys from Shell Silverstein's book. This one is called Falling Up. So the title of this poem, if you're watching on YouTube, I'm showing it to you, is called The Voice. And I love it. The voice. There is a voice inside of you that whispers all day long. I feel that this is right for me. I know that this is wrong. No teacher, preacher, parent, friend, or wise man can decide what's right for you. Just listen to the voice that speaks inside. How beautiful is that, guys? And the voice we should be listening to is that of the Holy Spirit that is inside of us. We do have a voice inside of us. And just like the poem said, no teacher, preacher, parent, or friend or wise man can decide what's right for you. But with the help of the Holy Spirit inside of you, you can, you can grow in wisdom and discernment. So today's just for today is find some poetry, guys. There is so much wisdom and beauty in poetry. And even if it's just beauty, it doesn't have to be wise. I want you guys to think of some poetry what you read when you were younger. And if you didn't read poetry, I want you to look at a Silverstein book and just read some poetry and think about it and enjoy it because God is. Joy, he created joy for us and poetry has a lot of that in it. So just for today, read some poetry. You guys, it's ca it's a great journey together, isn't it? I'll see you tomorrow.
