- 3:16Speaker 4: lot of weight.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Stress.
- 3:18Speaker 4: I was, yeah, stress, it was showing in my face
- 3:20Speaker 4: to start, like I started having mountains on my my,
- 3:24Speaker 4: my cheeks and stuff, multiple bumps, that's what it is. Yeah,
- 3:28Speaker 4: But my girl does a ray put me in a community,
- 3:34Speaker 4: and yeah, community, community matters, community matters. Speaking of the community,

- 3:58Speaker 4: I'm really excited about the guests today because I'm learning her.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Y'all gonna learn that.
- 4:01Speaker 2: We're gonna learn it together. Okay, she's gonna get us right.
- 4:04Speaker 4: But before, I want to shout out my people that
- 4:07Speaker 4: hold me accountable for.
- 4:10Speaker 2: My fitness journey.
- 4:11Speaker 4: Okay, I gotta shout out my girl. Gotta shout her
- 4:18Speaker 4: out because she got us in this community. Then I
- 4:20Speaker 4: gotta shout out my sister Kendle.
- 4:22Speaker 2: She's killing it.
- 4:23Speaker 4: Brou She going like doing two days brou like it's
- 4:28Speaker 4: wild out in these streets, like she's a whole mother
- 4:31Speaker 4: entrepreneur in these streets. So the excuses must die somewhere. Listen,
- 4:36Speaker 4: and my girl, Jasmine Cocher, that's my sister's best friend.
- 4:40Speaker 4: It might as well be another little sister because her
- 4:42Speaker 4: and Kendle been rocking since day was in sixth grade.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Okay, we all together hold each other accountable.
- 4:51Speaker 4: We're showing each other pictures, We're showing it progression, We're
- 4:54Speaker 4: sending scriptures to each other. And the power of community
- 4:57Speaker 4: is real. And so I want to say to my
- 5:00Speaker 4: my fitness click Okay, thank you, thank you. Okay, because
- 5:04Speaker 4: your girl was sitting like humpty dumpty, and y'all have
- 5:09Speaker 4: kept me from falling off the wall. Okay, y'all helped
- 5:13Speaker 4: me strong, and I'm just so grateful for us. I'm
- 5:16Speaker 4: so grateful to see where we're progressing throughout the year,
- 5:19Speaker 4: and I'm excited, excited to grow with you guys. So
- 5:22Speaker 4: this community is about spreading the information, spreading the love.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Don't do it by yourself, don't do it by yourself.
- 5:29Speaker 4: And so I'm gonna ease into this, Okay, just go ahead,
- 5:32Speaker 4: segue into this because Today we're gonna learn just that,
- 5:36Speaker 4: we're gonna learn how to get in appropriate community, how
- 5:40Speaker 4: the community business fits us, especially in the fitness ram.
- 5:44Speaker 4: Today's guesst y'all, it's a m m U sister of mine. Listen,

- 5:56Speaker 4: David Shan's on the ones and twos.
- 5:58Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. If you don't know who
- 5:59Speaker 2: is you live under a rock. Okay, you live on
- 6:02Speaker 2: a rock.
- 6:03Speaker 4: But I met my sister and you and I'm super
- 6:06Speaker 4: excited just to get to know her and to introduce
- 6:09Speaker 4: her to just as because she bad.
- 6:11Speaker 2: She's cute, baby baby.
- 6:14Speaker 4: Skinny, body is bodying for you know what I'm saying.
- 6:18Speaker 4: And so the body is body and why because she
- 6:21Speaker 4: understands the totality of fitness, my body spirit.
- 6:25Speaker 2: And so we're gonna get into it today.
- 6:27Speaker 4: We're gonna learn she's a health and wellness coach as well,
- 6:31Speaker 4: and so I'm super excited for her to give us
- 6:34Speaker 4: details not just about herself, but how we can be
- 6:36Speaker 4: better because it's it's we can't be out here Christianity
- 6:40Speaker 4: and being in Christianity and talk about that, and we
- 6:43Speaker 4: looking like we can't even hold the mic because we too,
- 6:46Speaker 4: we're too unhealthy for Listen, I'm not gonna get in
- 6:49Speaker 4: that we're too unhealthy for. We gotta be able to preach,
- 6:52Speaker 4: pray and prophesy in health. Okay, So she's gonna get
- 6:55Speaker 4: us there. So I introduce and present to others Miss
- 7:00Speaker 4: Brianna Thorntine.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Bow bootoo welcomed. How are you breathe?
- 7:19Speaker 5: I'm wonderful, I'm blessed and highly favorite. How are you good?
- 7:22Speaker 2: Good? Ain't she cute?
- 7:24Speaker 4: Y'all?
- 7:24Speaker 2: Baby so cute.
- 7:26Speaker 4: That's the one thing I don't like about us women.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Sometimes we just don't shout people out.
- 7:30Speaker 2: And I'm doing it. Put with good your farm you
- 7:32Speaker 2: hear me?
- 7:33Speaker 5: You look, I'm trying to get like you. I'm trying
- 7:36Speaker 5: to get like you with that skin, skinning, I'm trying
- 7:38Speaker 5: to get like make up.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Don't let it. I've been looking for the cause I
- 7:52Speaker 2: really do. Like help me.
- 7:55Speaker 5: Last night on my coaching called girl Scarphone and everything.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Listen, listen, tell us how you really doing, Like, how's
- 8:04Speaker 4: life treating you?
- 8:05Speaker 2: Where you're at, what's going? What you're doing? Honey, because
- 8:07Speaker 2: we want to know what all it just say.
- 8:09Speaker 5: Is Okay, I'm here for it. So I mean, life
- 8:13Speaker 5: is life and life is lifning. But I am learning
- 8:15Speaker 5: to enjoy the process. That's something that I'm working on
- 8:19Speaker 5: right now. I have a tendency to be really hard
- 8:22Speaker 5: on myself and over analyze every step. Meanwhile, I'm telling
- 8:26Speaker 5: my clients not to overanalyze every step, but I do
- 8:28Speaker 5: it myself. So I'm currently fighting my my inner thoughts
- 8:33Speaker 5: and just learning to be grateful and enjoy what I
- 8:36Speaker 5: have without worrying about the freuture, without stressing about what's
- 8:40Speaker 5: to come or what I don't have currently I am.
- 8:44Speaker 5: I'm good, I'm in the moment. I'm good, I'm happy.
- 8:47Speaker 5: I know that I have a purpose to feel Yeah,
- 8:50Speaker 5: and I know I'm on my way. I may not
- 8:53Speaker 5: be there right now, but i know I'm on my
- 8:54Speaker 5: way and I'm excited for this journey.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Come on, come on.
- 8:57Speaker 4: That's a word for somebody that I might not be there,
- 9:00Speaker 4: but i know I'm on the way. Okay, it's there,
- 9:03Speaker 4: It's all there, listen, Brie. One of the things that
- 9:06Speaker 4: I've been enjoyed about, like your content and stuff that
- 9:09Speaker 4: you are really consistent. And another one of the things
- 9:12Speaker 4: I learned about you just kind of doing some research
- 9:14Speaker 4: is that you were a student athlete, and I've always
- 9:18Speaker 4: been curious about the journey of a student athlete. Can
- 9:24Speaker 4: we get into that, like, have you always been an
- 9:27Speaker 4: athlete your whole life or what?
- 9:30Speaker 2: Give us a little background on that.
- 9:32Speaker 5: Yeah, So for me personally, I have always been an athlete,
- 9:35Speaker 5: from whether I wanted to or not. From like the
- 9:38Speaker 5: early stages of like elementary school, you know, I was
- 9:41Speaker 5: I was put into sports. Tried almost every sport from
- 9:45Speaker 5: tennis to swimming, to basketball, to track and field everything.
- 9:49Speaker 5: So I actually ended up running track in college and
- 9:56Speaker 5: I played basketball majority of my life actually, but I
- 10:00Speaker 5: ran track in college, and sports has just always been
- 10:03Speaker 5: a part of me. It has made me who I am.
- 10:05Speaker 5: It was my full identity. I actually struggled with that
- 10:07Speaker 5: once I graduated a lot, actually, because it was such
- 10:10Speaker 5: a huge part of my identity. But after I graduated,
- 10:14Speaker 5: that was kind of what led me into fitness even
- 10:17Speaker 5: throughout my college journey, throughout my collegiate experience, that is
- 10:21Speaker 5: what pushed me to where I am today. But I
- 10:24Speaker 5: loved every second of it. It was tough for sure,
- 10:26Speaker 5: But I don't know what I would have done if
- 10:29Speaker 5: I didn't have that background or that experience throughout college.
- 10:34Speaker 4: Yeah, you said that it what it was a challenge
- 10:40Speaker 4: to your identity. What do you What do you mean
- 10:42Speaker 4: by that as far as like being an athlete? What
- 10:44Speaker 4: does that look like for you?
- 10:46Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 10:46Speaker 5: So when you are an athlete, and I can't say
- 10:49Speaker 5: when you are looked from my personal experience, when I
- 10:51Speaker 5: was an athlete in college, that was how people recognize me.
- 10:55Speaker 5: It's like, oh, you're on the track team. Oh you're
- 10:56Speaker 5: a track girl. You know, this is that like you,
- 10:59Speaker 5: That is your identity. That is how people refer to
- 11:02Speaker 5: you as that, that's just who you are. And I
- 11:06Speaker 5: at the time did not see a problem with that
- 11:08Speaker 5: because that was who I was, you know, and where
- 11:10Speaker 5: I went and they're like, oh, you run track at
- 11:12Speaker 5: Georgia centern So yeah. And then when I graduated, it
- 11:16Speaker 5: was kind of tough because I'm like, who am I? Like,
- 11:20Speaker 5: I'm not an athlete anymore, but who am I outside
- 11:24Speaker 5: of this? I've really I didn't know for a while,
- 11:27Speaker 5: and that that really was was a tough thing to
- 11:30Speaker 5: kind of mentally shift, like who am I? How do
- 11:35Speaker 5: I know who I am If I'm not an athlete?
- 11:36Speaker 5: What do I represent all of those things? That that was?
- 11:39Speaker 5: That was a struggle?
- 11:41Speaker 2: So and what so what did the point of resolve
- 11:45Speaker 2: look like for you? What? What do you do?
- 11:47Speaker 4: You know the moment you was like, Okay, I think
- 11:50Speaker 4: I'm getting something, I'm coming up, coming up with something
- 11:54Speaker 4: outside of just being an athlete.
- 11:56Speaker 2: What like what was that that space and what did
- 11:58Speaker 2: that look like?
- 12:00Speaker 5: Yeah, I won't necessarily say it was a moment specifically
- 12:04Speaker 5: that I can remember. It was more of a progression
- 12:05Speaker 5: over time where I spent a lot of time outside.
- 12:09Speaker 5: Once I graduated, I spent a lot of time like
- 12:11Speaker 5: spinding myself, still going to the track, still trying to
- 12:13Speaker 5: do my track workouts, still trying to record track workouts,
- 12:16Speaker 5: and identifying with that type of person. And eventually I
- 12:19Speaker 5: kind of fell out of love with that part of
- 12:22Speaker 5: exercise and I realized that this is just not who
- 12:26Speaker 5: I am. So I got to figure out what I
- 12:28Speaker 5: enjoy now. So I started to try different things. Strength
- 12:33Speaker 5: training has always been where I thrived, even in college.
- 12:37Speaker 5: Like honestly, I was a better lift than I was
- 12:39Speaker 5: an athlete, Like I was better in the weight room
- 12:42Speaker 5: than I was on the track, and you know, that
- 12:44Speaker 5: was something that another thing that I was known for,
- 12:46Speaker 5: but just kind of leaning into that aspect of it,
- 12:49Speaker 5: because athlete not athlete, sports or you know, exercise has
- 12:53Speaker 5: always been a part of me. So figuring out how
- 12:57Speaker 5: I identify with that outsid side of specifically identifying with
- 13:02Speaker 5: being a competitive athlete, that was kind of where that
- 13:07Speaker 5: kind of where that shift started to happen. Just leaning
- 13:10Speaker 5: more into accepting this part of who I am, but
- 13:13Speaker 5: not making that my identity.
- 13:15Speaker 4: That's so good. I think a desil Ray came out
- 13:18Speaker 4: and saying, the interesting part that you just brought up
- 13:23Speaker 4: was that they're different opportunities and exercise. Can we lean
- 13:28Speaker 4: into that because I don't think when people nowadays it's
- 13:32Speaker 4: so easy to get on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or whatever
- 13:35Speaker 4: and to see, oh, they're working out this way and
- 13:37Speaker 4: you got so many avenues, How did you figure out
- 13:41Speaker 4: what your avenue was for you? And how do you
- 13:44Speaker 4: teach people what to lean into when they're being introduced
- 13:47Speaker 4: to the fitness world.
- 13:50Speaker 5: Yeah, I tell people try try something or try everything
- 13:54Speaker 5: until you figure out what you love. A lot of
- 13:56Speaker 5: people when it comes to exercise they think that has
- 14:00Speaker 5: to be done one way. They think I have to
- 14:02Speaker 5: go to the gym, I have to look these weights,
- 14:03Speaker 5: or I have to do it a certain way, and
- 14:06Speaker 5: that's not necessarily the case. There are so many different
- 14:08Speaker 5: options that you have out there. Try it out. You
- 14:12Speaker 5: you have your life, Like, I don't understand why people
- 14:14Speaker 5: think that everything has to be this one sided thing. Like,
- 14:17Speaker 5: there's so many different opportunities for you to try. If
- 14:20Speaker 5: you like pilates, try pilates. If you like yoga, try yoga.
- 14:23Speaker 5: If you like cycle, tricycle. Me personally, I hate cycle,
- 14:26Speaker 5: but some people enjoy that group fitness or you know,
- 14:30Speaker 5: things like that. But just continuously giving yourself the opportunity
- 14:35Speaker 5: to try something without the fear of looking crazy you're
- 14:39Speaker 5: going That's one thing that I find that holds people back.
- 14:42Speaker 5: They're like, oh, I don't want to go do this
- 14:43Speaker 5: because I'm going to look stupid. So everybody's going to
- 14:46Speaker 5: look stupid at first. Everybody goes through that trial period,
- 14:50Speaker 5: but you will continuously keep yourself from actually walking your
- 14:54Speaker 5: potential and reaching the things that you can do until
- 14:57Speaker 5: you get over that fear of looking it's going to happen.
- 15:01Speaker 5: I'm not going to tell you that just because you
- 15:02Speaker 5: try it and you're not going to look crazy, but it's
- 15:04Speaker 5: okay to actually go through that process. It's a learning curve.
- 15:07Speaker 5: Everybody goes through it, and eventually, once you go through it,
- 15:11Speaker 5: you'll learn, Okay, I don't like this. I kind of
- 15:14Speaker 5: like this a little bit more, but let me tweak
- 15:16Speaker 5: it this way. So it's a trial and error process
- 15:18Speaker 5: that everybody has to go through.
- 15:20Speaker 4: I'm so glad you brought that up, like, because that
- 15:24Speaker 4: the intimidation, like when you go, like somebody goes to
- 15:27Speaker 4: the gym, right. I was talking to my sister and
- 15:29Speaker 4: she has this gym member strip ship and she was like, man,
- 15:33Speaker 4: I was I've been nervous to just continuously go to
- 15:38Speaker 4: gym because I don't know what I'm doing, right, I don't. Unfortunately,
- 15:41Speaker 4: when we were in high school and we played basketball,
- 15:44Speaker 4: they didn't really give us weight training, Like I went
- 15:46Speaker 4: to a private school and they focused more so on
- 15:48Speaker 4: the guys, the males the boys team, and they didn't
- 15:53Speaker 4: really We did a lot of running, but no weightlifting
- 15:57Speaker 4: or anything like that. So this was was a new
- 16:01Speaker 4: thing for both of us as far as like working out.
- 16:06Speaker 4: But she started going to the gym, and she mentioned
- 16:09Speaker 4: that she was like, I look I feel like I
- 16:10Speaker 4: look so stupid. But then she mentioned also that there
- 16:14Speaker 4: were gentlemen that came and started like seeing her regularly
- 16:17Speaker 4: come and they was like.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Hey try this, like try that.
- 16:21Speaker 4: And I was so happy that somebody was willing to
- 16:26Speaker 4: go to her and say hey, try it this way.
- 16:29Speaker 4: I could see that you're doing wrong because you can
- 16:30Speaker 4: really hurt yourself.
- 16:31Speaker 2: That's my fear. My fear is not even just looking stupid.
- 16:35Speaker 2: My fear.
- 16:35Speaker 4: Let me tell you this breath. I had a coach.
- 16:39Speaker 4: I was in the gym and I had a coach
- 16:42Speaker 4: and I did a rip. I think it was called
- 16:44Speaker 4: a han clean. This is what that is.
- 16:47Speaker 2: And I pushed.
- 16:49Speaker 4: It up for some I don't know what happened. The
- 16:52Speaker 4: thing fell on my head. Adam not so i'd be.
- 16:55Speaker 4: I'm a little fearful.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Lord, say.
- 17:02Speaker 5: Blessed, blessed, honey.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Marcus looked at me. He said what he said, Well, but.
- 17:16Speaker 5: Time, that's all you can say all you can.
- 17:19Speaker 4: So that's personally my fear is the safety. But I
- 17:23Speaker 4: think they're also just the not knowing what you do.
- 17:25Speaker 4: It can tie tie into that because if I wasn't
- 17:28Speaker 4: fearful of I was probably scared to get it up.
- 17:30Speaker 4: I was probably afraid of the weight. I oh, this
- 17:32Speaker 4: is so good, and I want you to speak to it.
- 17:34Speaker 4: The limitations that we put on ourselves when we're going
- 17:37Speaker 4: to places like the gym, What does that look like?
- 17:40Speaker 4: How do you break those limitations for when you're talking
- 17:43Speaker 4: to your clients, because I know I got them. I'm like,
- 17:45Speaker 4: I can't lift this weight, I can't do this rip,
- 17:47Speaker 4: I can't.
- 17:48Speaker 5: Do it for sure, for sure. Yeah, number one, safety
- 17:52Speaker 5: is a huge thing. So I will never tell anybody
- 17:55Speaker 5: to just go into the gym and just put one
- 17:58Speaker 5: hundred pounds on the bar. That and you've never even
- 18:01Speaker 5: lifted your own body weight, you know, starting small. So
- 18:05Speaker 5: for some people that intimidation is like an actual It
- 18:09Speaker 5: causes them anxiety, like they're truly fearful to go and
- 18:13Speaker 5: do these things, which I understand when and in that instance,
- 18:16Speaker 5: I always say start at home with body weight exercises.
- 18:19Speaker 5: There is every single movement that you do in the
- 18:22Speaker 5: gym you can do at home, just body weight, so
- 18:25Speaker 5: you can learn the form, you can understand what you're
- 18:28Speaker 5: supposed to be feeling. We're the biggest issue that I
- 18:32Speaker 5: see is a lot of people we're just going because
- 18:33Speaker 5: we saw something on Instagram. There is an exercise we
- 18:36Speaker 5: saw that we saved and we're like, Okay, I'm going
- 18:38Speaker 5: to go do that workout. Which, okay, that's somewhere to start.
- 18:40Speaker 5: But if you don't understand the form, you don't understand
- 18:43Speaker 5: what you're supposed to be feeling when you're doing exercise,
- 18:45Speaker 5: is that can play a role. You can get injured,
- 18:49Speaker 5: you're not even going to be able to see the results.
- 18:51Speaker 5: But it's a progression. So you start with the body
- 18:54Speaker 5: weight movements, and that is perfectly fine. You start by
- 18:57Speaker 5: doing the movements body weight, you start by adding them,
- 19:00Speaker 5: you start, and then from there you just progress on.
- 19:03Speaker 5: So for you with that hang clean exercise specifically, that
- 19:05Speaker 5: is a complex movement, like that's not an easy thing
- 19:08Speaker 5: to do. There's a lot of different techniques that go
- 19:10Speaker 5: into being able to do that appropriately. So it needs
- 19:14Speaker 5: to be broken down, break it up into different parts.
- 19:16Speaker 5: And that's something like you know, further along the way,
- 19:19Speaker 5: I would never have a Beaconder client do and exercise
- 19:21Speaker 5: like that unless they're personally with me. But for a
- 19:24Speaker 5: lot of like the people trying to do this journey
- 19:26Speaker 5: on your own. Simple movements, squats, rdos, deadlifts, all of
- 19:31Speaker 5: these things you can learn how to do them on
- 19:33Speaker 5: your own to the point where you're at home like, ooh,
- 19:36Speaker 5: I want to get in the gym now, let me
- 19:38Speaker 5: go ask some way to do this. I feel good
- 19:39Speaker 5: at doing this now. But you just got to build
- 19:41Speaker 5: up these reps. Just like in business, with everything that
- 19:43Speaker 5: you do, you got to get the reps in. You
- 19:45Speaker 5: got to be able to do the baby steps, do
- 19:47Speaker 5: the little things to be able to build the confidence
- 19:49Speaker 5: and build that reassurance within yourself to actually progress to
- 19:52Speaker 5: the next level.
- 19:53Speaker 4: That's so good, that that's really good. I think what
- 19:57Speaker 4: I heard you say, the big part of it is
- 20:01Speaker 4: confidence that you have to start somewhere in the fitness journey.
- 20:07Speaker 4: And I love how you said, like you can do
- 20:09Speaker 4: stuff at home, because that's what we're doing. Like some
- 20:13Speaker 4: of the stuff that we're doing in our community is
- 20:15Speaker 4: just doing stuff at home. Because right now I don't
- 20:17Speaker 4: have a gym membership. I'm not going to pay for
- 20:20Speaker 4: one right now. That's not in the budget, however, and
- 20:22Speaker 4: I don't want that to be an excuse for me
- 20:24Speaker 4: not to kind of like lean into my weight loss journey.
- 20:28Speaker 4: And that's something that I've kept from myself for.
- 20:32Speaker 2: A long time.
- 20:32Speaker 4: So I'm so glad that you brought it up because
- 20:34Speaker 4: a lot of people don't think they can start at
- 20:35Speaker 4: home with their.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Body weight right.
- 20:37Speaker 4: They think is like, oh, I need these materials to
- 20:41Speaker 4: because I was one, like I just I made an
- 20:43Speaker 4: excuse you like, the only way I'm gonna lose weight
- 20:45Speaker 4: is if I go to the gym.
- 20:47Speaker 2: And that's what I felt.
- 20:48Speaker 4: But I'm starting to see a difference and I have
- 20:50Speaker 4: not been to one gym, Like I've been at home
- 20:53Speaker 4: in my room, doing the workout that's posted for the
- 20:57Speaker 4: day and then going about my business.
- 21:00Speaker 2: So I think that's so awesome.
- 21:02Speaker 4: So I would love to hear your your your intake
- 21:08Speaker 4: on the benefits of having a coach, right. I know
- 21:12Speaker 4: when I was first looking for a coach or whatever,
- 21:14Speaker 4: I didn't necessarily know what to look for. I just
- 21:16Speaker 4: know what I desired as far as like getting the
- 21:18Speaker 4: results right. And when you think about different coaches, you girl,
- 21:25Speaker 4: I've seen some extreme coaches on like the social media
- 21:28Speaker 4: or whatever that are just that's just kind of wild,
- 21:31Speaker 4: like disrespectfully round, like some people like that, I ain't her.
- 21:38Speaker 4: So when somebody is looking to go like, what's the
- 21:42Speaker 4: benefits of the coach and how do I find the
- 21:44Speaker 4: coach that fits me best?
- 21:47Speaker 5: Yeah, Well, first before I get to that, I want
- 21:50Speaker 5: to ask you, how has the doing this the way
- 21:53Speaker 5: that you're doing it, the body waight exercise at home,
- 21:55Speaker 5: how has that made you feel personally?
- 21:58Speaker 2: That's a good question. Look just asked me.
- 22:03Speaker 4: Personally, it has made me feel better by myself. It
- 22:08Speaker 4: was it was not just only the fitness part. I
- 22:10Speaker 4: was trying to get more disciplined, and I was like
- 22:12Speaker 4: trying to defeat the excuses that I was giving myself
- 22:16Speaker 4: on not working out and doing something for me, Like
- 22:19Speaker 4: I felt like.
- 22:22Speaker 2: The relationship with me was damaged.
- 22:25Speaker 4: And so fitness is not just is a definitely was
- 22:31Speaker 4: the Waight thing, because I was like, I've always had
- 22:34Speaker 4: like you said, You've always been an athlete. I've always
- 22:36Speaker 4: been a fat girl, like whether it was just in
- 22:40Speaker 4: my mind or in my mind and in my actuality. Right,
- 22:44Speaker 4: and so now even just getting up at home, I
- 22:47Speaker 4: feel like I have more power. Like I feel empowered.
- 22:50Speaker 4: That's probably the best word I can say. I feel empowered.
- 22:55Speaker 5: M I love that. Yeah, And that honestly is the
- 23:00Speaker 5: biggest mental block. We think that a lot of us
- 23:03Speaker 5: think that we have to go to the gym and
- 23:04Speaker 5: we have to do these things that we see on
- 23:06Speaker 5: social media just because that's what's going to give us
- 23:08Speaker 5: that empowerment. But it starts with the little things. It
- 23:12Speaker 5: starts with you actually starting to break down the reason
- 23:15Speaker 5: why you have so much anxiety around going to the
- 23:16Speaker 5: gym and the reason why you're finding all of these excuses.
- 23:20Speaker 5: Like I have a friend that she wants to get
- 23:23Speaker 5: at her fitness journey. We've had the conversation, she has
- 23:25Speaker 5: the goals that talks about this, but the gym membership
- 23:29Speaker 5: she got is thirty minutes from her house. She's literally
- 23:32Speaker 5: creating an extra limitation to her reaching these goals. We
- 23:36Speaker 5: try to put in all do all of these extra
- 23:38Speaker 5: things when we need to create the least amount of
- 23:42Speaker 5: resistance possible to get to these goals. We're making it
- 23:45Speaker 5: way more complicated than it has to be. We try
- 23:47Speaker 5: to put all these bearers, especially as business owners, especially
- 23:50Speaker 5: as business owners, as entrepreneurs, as high performing corporate women,
- 23:54Speaker 5: high performing professional women. Thing we expect things to be hard.
- 23:59Speaker 5: We have the mindset we have to work so hard,
- 24:02Speaker 5: we have to do all of these things. We have
- 24:04Speaker 5: to be the ones to take control. We have to
- 24:06Speaker 5: do all of this, and this journey doesn't have to
- 24:08Speaker 5: be that. This journey definitely does not have to be that.
- 24:11Speaker 5: Creating this can be easy. It's okay for something to
- 24:15Speaker 5: be easy, and as powerful women, it's hard to accept that,
- 24:19Speaker 5: and we create barriers that don't necessarily need to be there.
- 24:22Speaker 4: She said a word, girl, my shando help. I mean
- 24:28Speaker 4: my my, my arms was just changing. Like she she
- 24:31Speaker 4: basically said, you're putting more pressure on yourself, but then
- 24:36Speaker 4: you have to No, this is so so the solution.
- 24:41Speaker 4: Let me just be clear on solutions, because I know
- 24:44Speaker 4: your target is like entrepreneurs, business.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Owners, women, empowerment.
- 24:50Speaker 4: I love how you said that, because if I my
- 24:54Speaker 4: mom said this to me one day, Breeze, she said,
- 24:56Speaker 4: we're not doing hard anymore. And when she said that,
- 25:00Speaker 4: I was like, was I intentionally seeking hard? Because it's
- 25:06Speaker 4: almost like hard validates us. If it's not hard, then
- 25:10Speaker 4: you don't.
- 25:14Speaker 5: Honor.
- 25:14Speaker 4: Yeah, So with your clients, is that something that you
- 25:19Speaker 4: how do you break that aspect down?
- 25:21Speaker 2: Because that's such a powerful point that you just made.
- 25:25Speaker 5: With my clients specifically, it's more so just through conversations
- 25:29Speaker 5: like this, like understanding the deeper reasons. So when we
- 25:33Speaker 5: first started having this conversation with you, Jess, you said that,
- 25:37Speaker 5: you know, you just you just started at home. Somebody
- 25:41Speaker 5: could leave it at that conversation, but then we got
- 25:43Speaker 5: a little bit deeper, why why do you just you know,
- 25:46Speaker 5: why are we doing that? And then you got into
- 25:48Speaker 5: the deeper reason of I've always had the mentality that
- 25:51Speaker 5: I'm the fat girl, right, I've always had that mentality
- 25:53Speaker 5: that that's just kind of you know that insecurity that
- 25:55Speaker 5: I have. We kind of break it down, so we
- 25:57Speaker 5: have this conversations. It's specific for each end. Visual we
- 26:01Speaker 5: all have our own history and our own trauma that
- 26:04Speaker 5: we've been through that we may even be subconsciously putting
- 26:08Speaker 5: into our daily activities. We wear certain clothes because we
- 26:13Speaker 5: just feel more comfortable in these clothes when really we
- 26:15Speaker 5: would rather be wearing this other outfit that we see
- 26:17Speaker 5: in our closet, but in the back of our mind
- 26:19Speaker 5: it just doesn't look right right now. But just figuring
- 26:22Speaker 5: out what exactly is holding that one person back and
- 26:26Speaker 5: going a little bit deeper seven levels deep. That's what
- 26:29Speaker 5: I was taught in psychology, like seven levels deep, just
- 26:32Speaker 5: figuring out why, why why. Surface level, we may understand
- 26:35Speaker 5: this one thing like well, I just don't like the gym.
- 26:38Speaker 5: I hear a lot of people say I just don't
- 26:39Speaker 5: like the gym. It's not that you just don't like
- 26:41Speaker 5: the gym. There's a reason why you have anxiety around
- 26:44Speaker 5: going to the gym. Maybe you got injured before and
- 26:47Speaker 5: maybe somebody said a comment that just didn't sit right
- 26:49Speaker 5: with you. Maybe you know whatever, insert whatever your trauma is.
- 26:53Speaker 5: But we have to figure that out first and then
- 26:56Speaker 5: just dig a little deeper and we can kind of
- 26:58Speaker 5: just baby stuff. We're not taking any dressing measures, but
- 27:01Speaker 5: it's baby steps to just overcoming these things. First, we
- 27:04Speaker 5: got to understand what it is, and then we can
- 27:06Speaker 5: take steps to overcome these these anxieties and these traumas
- 27:09Speaker 5: that we have under levels.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Deep, Bri, I'm gonna tell you to goat right now.
- 27:15Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you where you to go. I ain't go,
- 27:17Speaker 2: I ain't gonna lie, I ain't never listen, y'all.
- 27:19Speaker 4: I ain't worked out with the woman again at this
- 27:22Speaker 4: our first time talking.
- 27:24Speaker 2: If you want to know the truth about it. You
- 27:26Speaker 2: to go. I'm gonna tell you why you could go.
- 27:31Speaker 2: It's an art.
- 27:33Speaker 4: For people to really listen. People don't really listen. And
- 27:40Speaker 4: for this is what I just I'm gathering from the
- 27:43Speaker 4: encounter that I'm having with you that you don't just
- 27:48Speaker 4: go be like, okay, your body you're batter fact on
- 27:50Speaker 4: twenty percent.
- 27:51Speaker 2: I don't know how that go. But your by to
- 27:53Speaker 2: fact on this.
- 27:54Speaker 4: Percent and you're eating hamburgers, hot dogs and cupcakes and
- 27:58Speaker 4: French fries, and you not just doing it like you're
- 28:01Speaker 4: looking into the soul of a person and saying, Okay,
- 28:03Speaker 4: this is what's holding you.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Back from your weight loss? Is that Is that fair?
- 28:08Speaker 4: Because I saw that you did these calls or these
- 28:11Speaker 4: uh what you call it? These the coaching calls? Yeah,
- 28:20Speaker 4: the coaching calls. And I'll just tell you my experience
- 28:23Speaker 4: when I first started getting coaching, I don't have that
- 28:25Speaker 4: same coach anymore. He was more focused on like, Okay,
- 28:28Speaker 4: what do you want to be? What's your goal or whatever?
- 28:31Speaker 4: But it sounds like you do something different.
- 28:35Speaker 5: It is a little bit different. So yes, we have
- 28:37Speaker 5: that conversation and we figure out what your goals are,
- 28:39Speaker 5: what you want to accomplish. But honestly, that's not enough
- 28:44Speaker 5: because when it comes to and I would say earlier
- 28:48Speaker 5: in my in my training career, that is how I
- 28:50Speaker 5: approach it because like it's a science, boom, this is
- 28:53Speaker 5: what your stats are. I know the science to help
- 28:55Speaker 5: you get to where you want to be. But over
- 28:57Speaker 5: time I have learned that that doesn't apply for everybody.
- 29:03Speaker 5: I'm an athlete. I've always been an athlete, so working
- 29:05Speaker 5: out it in my nature is like if I don't
- 29:07Speaker 5: do it, I don't feel right. But not everybody is
- 29:09Speaker 5: like that. There are people that have never worked out
- 29:12Speaker 5: a day in their life. There are people that were
- 29:14Speaker 5: forced to be in sports when they were growing up,
- 29:16Speaker 5: so now they have this anxiety around actually exercising. There
- 29:18Speaker 5: are people that have just honestly never showed interests. They've
- 29:22Speaker 5: always done different things. So it's more so about figuring
- 29:25Speaker 5: out what is going to entice this person to actually
- 29:30Speaker 5: make a change from what you're so used to doing
- 29:33Speaker 5: for all these years. Why do we need to make
- 29:36Speaker 5: this change. Is it the fact that now you have
- 29:38Speaker 5: to be on medication? Is it the fact that you
- 29:41Speaker 5: had a kid and now you're just uncomfortable in your
- 29:44Speaker 5: own body. Is it the fact that now you want
- 29:46Speaker 5: to start dating and you don't even feel confident enough
- 29:49Speaker 5: to go out and allow yourself to be put out
- 29:51Speaker 5: there anymore. There are different reasons and different things that
- 29:54Speaker 5: are going to entice the individual people. So until I
- 29:57Speaker 5: can figure out that I'm not a therapist. Now correct
- 30:00Speaker 5: that I'm not a therapist, but I'm wanting to coach
- 30:02Speaker 5: you and figure out what those underlying things are and
- 30:06Speaker 5: how I can help you actually kind of work through
- 30:11Speaker 5: these things through health and fitness. Health and fitness can
- 30:14Speaker 5: do a lot, especially for women. Like you said that
- 30:16Speaker 5: you're starting to build confidence and you want us to
- 30:19Speaker 5: get the discipline right. You can be disciplined in your
- 30:21Speaker 5: business all day. Somebody wants to do a podcast, somebody
- 30:24Speaker 5: wants to work with you. You're going to make sure
- 30:26Speaker 5: that gets done. But before, when it comes to your
- 30:29Speaker 5: health and fitness, you would have said, not today, I'm
- 30:32Speaker 5: too tired. I'm gonna bring it on the back burn.
- 30:34Speaker 5: You know, I'll do it tomorrow, and then tomorrow never comes.
- 30:37Speaker 5: You know, we don't have that same discipline, and then
- 30:39Speaker 5: we just have to figure out why not. Because you
- 30:42Speaker 5: know that it's important. You know that you need it,
- 30:44Speaker 5: But there's something mentally, like everybody has the same stats everybody,
- 30:49Speaker 5: and everybody has the same information. We know that health
- 30:51Speaker 5: and fitness is good, you lose weight, you feel better.
- 30:55Speaker 5: We know all that, But at the same time, why
- 30:58Speaker 5: don't we do it? And that reason is different for everybody.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that's different.
- 31:05Speaker 4: And did I hear that you like took psychology or
- 31:09Speaker 4: was that your major?
- 31:11Speaker 5: So my major wasn't psychology. My major was exercise science
- 31:14Speaker 5: and kinesiology, so study of the body. But then within
- 31:17Speaker 5: that we took sports psychology. We took a lot of
- 31:19Speaker 5: psychology classes within my degree.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Mm.
- 31:23Speaker 4: Okay, so that's another thing to it. Okay, I'm getting
- 31:27Speaker 4: to a point here, because that's another thing to it
- 31:31Speaker 4: because what I'm hearing you say, not only do you
- 31:35Speaker 4: have the physical appearance, but you have the knowledge to
- 31:38Speaker 4: back it up. Because one thing we think about with
- 31:40Speaker 4: knowledge is oh, I can go get certified because correct
- 31:44Speaker 4: me if I'm wrong. Anybody can get certified as like
- 31:47Speaker 4: a physical coach or a fitness instructor or anything like that.
- 31:51Speaker 4: But what's special about you, Bree, is that you have
- 31:54Speaker 4: not only a degree in it, but the degree plan.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Oh I'm most spoken to them. So I notice it.
- 32:04Speaker 4: The degree plan sets you up for the total person,
- 32:09Speaker 4: not just for the physical part.
- 32:11Speaker 2: That's what I just heard.
- 32:12Speaker 5: Yeah, So I would say this process is different for
- 32:17Speaker 5: every coach. There are coaches that have the degree. There
- 32:22Speaker 5: are coaches that have the certification just for the title,
- 32:25Speaker 5: but they're not paying attention to the person. They're paying
- 32:30Speaker 5: attention to the science. And yes, you need to know
- 32:34Speaker 5: the science. Yes you can have all the information and
- 32:37Speaker 5: know what you need to do physically for sure, but
- 32:40Speaker 5: there's a difference when you pay attention to the individuals
- 32:45Speaker 5: and that just comes from experience. Like, yes, I have
- 32:48Speaker 5: the degrees, and I'm grateful for the degrees that i have,
- 32:50Speaker 5: but regardless, talking to people outside of the science, talking
- 32:54Speaker 5: to people and really understanding the deeper levels and understanding
- 32:57Speaker 5: what gets people results. I work with people for years
- 33:00Speaker 5: at a time, and there are phases that we go through.
- 33:02Speaker 5: So this phase may work for this person and this
- 33:05Speaker 5: phase may not work for the next person. Like it's
- 33:07Speaker 5: just it's a process of just really understanding how people work.
- 33:13Speaker 5: Like you can't just know the science when it comes
- 33:15Speaker 5: to this. That is a great thing. You can program
- 33:18Speaker 5: all day, but if you can't get them to commit
- 33:20Speaker 5: to the program, then what kind of coach are you?
- 33:25Speaker 4: Listen, she said, she dropping bars all this year, like no,
- 33:29Speaker 4: this is this is really good, so much to the
- 33:31Speaker 4: point where like I'm interested in knowing one of another
- 33:36Speaker 4: things that I see what I'm just gonna talk about
- 33:39Speaker 4: me one of the things that I was intimidated by
- 33:41Speaker 4: when I was thinking about getting a coach.
- 33:44Speaker 2: What's the financial commitment?
- 33:47Speaker 4: And so how would you explain, like how do you
- 33:50Speaker 4: get overcome that that idea? Because I find it, but
- 33:54Speaker 4: these things happen and people are concerned about their finances, right,
- 33:58Speaker 4: how what is your explorinent of being able to maybe there's.
- 34:02Speaker 2: A trade or maybe health conditions. I don't know.
- 34:05Speaker 4: There's so many explanations I've heard. What do you how
- 34:08Speaker 4: do you combat there? The financial commitment of it?
- 34:12Speaker 5: Yeah, so this again goes back to why is this
- 34:17Speaker 5: so important? We can break down? So within my program
- 34:21Speaker 5: we do it's called a health assessment. So within this
- 34:23Speaker 5: health assessment, we figure out how much money are you
- 34:26Speaker 5: actually spending on Netflix, on DoorDash, on Hulu, on going
- 34:31Speaker 5: out and smoking hookah and drinking on the weekends and
- 34:34Speaker 5: brunch on every Sunday and things like that. So we're
- 34:36Speaker 5: breaking this down. I need to in order to actually
- 34:39Speaker 5: help you. I need to know. I'm in your business
- 34:42Speaker 5: as a coach. Let me know what's going on, and
- 34:46Speaker 5: with that we can figure out. As long as they're
- 34:48Speaker 5: honest with me, we can figure out. Okay, we can
- 34:51Speaker 5: consolidate these funds. And I'm not saying don't get me wrong,
- 34:55Speaker 5: I'm not saying don't go to brunch. I'm not that
- 34:57Speaker 5: kind of coach. I'm not going to tell you to
- 34:59Speaker 5: not go have fun with your people and do these things.
- 35:02Speaker 5: But moderation is key. You're going every Sunday and you
- 35:05Speaker 5: spend in Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday in the club with
- 35:09Speaker 5: your friends, Like okay, relax a right, come on, now,
- 35:16Speaker 5: there are adjustments we can make. So we just kind
- 35:18Speaker 5: of we go through all of these things and I'm
- 35:20Speaker 5: not like breaking out anybody's finances, but I'm seeing where
- 35:22Speaker 5: is your money going and if this is something that
- 35:27Speaker 5: you need to change. Not everybody's in that position where
- 35:30Speaker 5: they mentally understood that they need to make this change.
- 35:33Speaker 5: And that's part of where that mental thing comes from.
- 35:36Speaker 5: So that's why I help you. Uncovered do we need
- 35:39Speaker 5: this right now? And how bad do we need this?
- 35:42Speaker 5: Why do we need this? What are we sacrificing if
- 35:44Speaker 5: we don't do this. Once we figure all of that out,
- 35:47Speaker 5: it can become a priority, just like if you have
- 35:50Speaker 5: a let's see, you got your Krno, you got to
- 35:54Speaker 5: pay your carno, you got to get to places right
- 35:57Speaker 5: This needs to be a non negotiable, just like the
- 35:59Speaker 5: rest and stuff. So how are we going to factor
- 36:01Speaker 5: this in? Because your health and wellness matters. The rest
- 36:05Speaker 5: of the things aren't even going to exist if you're
- 36:07Speaker 5: not here to take care of it. You want to
- 36:10Speaker 5: sit here and take your kids here. You want to
- 36:13Speaker 5: make sure your kids get there. You want to make
- 36:14Speaker 5: sure that these sales calls get done. You want to
- 36:16Speaker 5: make sure this business item gets handled. But if you
- 36:19Speaker 5: are not mentally and physically in a place to even
- 36:22Speaker 5: long term be able to handle that, you're sacrificing your
- 36:24Speaker 5: health now for what It can't even be sustained long term.
- 36:29Speaker 5: So it needs to be a priority. It needs to
- 36:30Speaker 5: be something that you add into your budget to make
- 36:33Speaker 5: sure that you do it. And now that again looks
- 36:35Speaker 5: different for everybody. If you invest in a coach, great
- 36:38Speaker 5: but if you're just investing in a cheaper online program
- 36:41Speaker 5: that you're going to commit to, Okay, that process looks
- 36:44Speaker 5: different for everybody, but you got to figure out where
- 36:46Speaker 5: you are, what type of discipline you have now, and
- 36:48Speaker 5: what level of accountability you need?
- 36:52Speaker 2: Does y I feel like I am getting a whooping
- 36:55Speaker 2: right now, Like I just it's like to get id.
- 37:00Speaker 2: It's like I don't like, oh Jesus, you know, I
- 37:05Speaker 2: would want to straighten up. I Like, it's like that.
- 37:11Speaker 4: But she's talking good though, because the reality is if
- 37:17Speaker 4: we are if we understand that we're here for a
- 37:19Speaker 4: purpose right at the end of the day, ultimately we're
- 37:22Speaker 4: in this earth space one to you know, worship God,
- 37:27Speaker 4: but also and we're a solution to somebody's problems. Come on.
- 37:30Speaker 4: So if we are not taking the necessary steps, if
- 37:34Speaker 4: we're not prioritizing ourselves to be the best version, the
- 37:38Speaker 4: best shape, the best health that we can be in,
- 37:41Speaker 4: then where our purpose is going to outlive us?
- 37:45Speaker 2: Right?
- 37:45Speaker 4: Like, Like, that's that's what I'm hearing I say, is
- 37:48Speaker 4: like you have to you have to begin to prioritize you.
- 37:51Speaker 4: And that's not selfishness, that's actually like self love, that
- 37:54Speaker 4: self care. That's that's doing the things that's necessary to
- 37:57Speaker 4: make sure that you can function fully, to be able
- 37:59Speaker 4: to do that that you actually love doing. You know,
- 38:02Speaker 4: that's what I just keep and I hear our heart
- 38:03Speaker 4: behind it too, man, Like you can't miss her heart
- 38:06Speaker 4: on this because it's just oozing out of her. Because
- 38:09Speaker 4: one thing about just ass I don't do no prescripted questions.
- 38:13Speaker 4: This is like, did you get breathed? Did you get
- 38:15Speaker 4: any prescripted questions.
- 38:19Speaker 2: To just show up? Okay?
- 38:20Speaker 5: And I was looking for it too, I'm like I'm
- 38:23Speaker 5: missing something.
- 38:26Speaker 4: Now.
- 38:28Speaker 2: No, But I think this is so.
- 38:31Speaker 4: I think this is needed because the thing about it
- 38:33Speaker 4: is we have to be real with ourselves. A lot
- 38:36Speaker 4: of us want the blessings of God but can't even
- 38:38Speaker 4: maintain it because we ain't breathing.
- 38:40Speaker 2: Man, we can't.
- 38:41Speaker 4: We we we we one breath from a heart attack,
- 38:45Speaker 4: and we expecting God to do miracles side and wonders
- 38:47Speaker 4: for what.
- 38:49Speaker 2: You're not healthy enough to maintain a.
- 38:51Speaker 4: Blessing just just as simple as that, you're not healthy enough,
- 38:56Speaker 4: and then you're so prideful that you're not even even
- 39:00Speaker 4: This is free game, right Bria is giving us free
- 39:02Speaker 4: game right now on Okay, she's she's literally saying, hey,
- 39:07Speaker 4: even if you don't have a coach, give yourself the honor,
- 39:11Speaker 4: honor yourself enough to wake up in the morning, wake
- 39:14Speaker 4: up or commit yourself to a time start to where
- 39:17Speaker 4: you just do some exercise with your body. Yeah, it's
- 39:20Speaker 4: just as simple as that. I'm not asking you to
- 39:22Speaker 4: gona hurt yourself. I'm not asking you to inconvenience yourself.
- 39:25Speaker 4: I'm asking you to choose yourself. Yeah. So good, That's
- 39:29Speaker 4: what I hear you saying. This is yeah, you got anything.
- 39:35Speaker 5: Yeah, sometime that desert said she said that it's not selfish,
- 39:39Speaker 5: it's you actually loving yourself enough to do this. As
- 39:43Speaker 5: going back to powerful women, people with responsibilities, you put
- 39:48Speaker 5: so many other people ahead of yourself, and in the
- 39:52Speaker 5: back of your mind you feel like you have to
- 39:53Speaker 5: continuously pour into these people, and pour into your business
- 39:56Speaker 5: and do all of these things. And the moment that
- 39:59Speaker 5: you take something or yourself, the moment that you take
- 40:01Speaker 5: some time for yourself or step away or don't answer
- 40:03Speaker 5: a call or anything like that, you feel like you're
- 40:05Speaker 5: being selfish, when in reality, if you were to just
- 40:10Speaker 5: take that thirty sixty minutes even ninety minutes. Sometimes, if
- 40:14Speaker 5: you really need it, take that time to yourself away
- 40:17Speaker 5: from everything, pour back into yourself. You'll show up better
- 40:21Speaker 5: and you'll have way more to give to all of
- 40:23Speaker 5: the other responsibilities that you have. It's not selfish, it's
- 40:27Speaker 5: actually helping everybody else, because you're gonna be too annoyed
- 40:31Speaker 5: and frustrated and lower energy and just drain to even
- 40:35Speaker 5: pour into these people the way that you really want to.
- 40:37Speaker 5: Like you, guys are saying like you have a purpose,
- 40:40Speaker 5: and you are limiting your purpose and your ability to
- 40:43Speaker 5: actually do these things that you want to do because
- 40:45Speaker 5: you're not taking care of yourself. And like you said,
- 40:48Speaker 5: it's the little things. Get up in the morning, move
- 40:51Speaker 5: for five ten minutes in the morning, Take twenty minutes
- 40:53Speaker 5: out of your day to go for a walk and
- 40:54Speaker 5: to do some exercise and get some fresh air. You're
- 40:57Speaker 5: sitting at a desk all day, You're answering calls all day.
- 41:00Speaker 5: You're trying to be here for all these people and
- 41:01Speaker 5: do all of these things and check off all these
- 41:03Speaker 5: things on your task list, and you feel like, excuse
- 41:06Speaker 5: my lane, I don't know if and cuts on here
- 41:07Speaker 5: because this is this is a godly podcast, But you
- 41:09Speaker 5: feel like, I don't know how free spirit we are
- 41:16Speaker 5: in here, but.
- 41:19Speaker 2: We're not moved.
- 41:25Speaker 4: I love it to be free breathe, but no, it's no,
- 41:32Speaker 4: you're right, You're you're you're absolutely right. So while we're
- 41:36Speaker 4: while we're telling people, you know, okay, it's time to move,
- 41:38Speaker 4: it's time to move, could you give the community like
- 41:43Speaker 4: a rundown if you had thirty minutes to if a
- 41:46Speaker 4: person had thirty minutes to work out, what's a go
- 41:48Speaker 4: to workout that you would provide.
- 41:50Speaker 5: Them one go to workout? So I definitely am going
- 41:55Speaker 5: to recommend starting with mobility. So when you are warming up,
- 42:00Speaker 5: you do all these things. So any type of like
- 42:02Speaker 5: yoga movements or I wish I could kind of a demo,
- 42:06Speaker 5: but there's like some hit movements that you can do.
- 42:09Speaker 5: You can do some up or downward dog. I think
- 42:11Speaker 5: pretty much everybody knows uper downward dog. But just try
- 42:14Speaker 5: to get some like five mobility exercises. And another issue
- 42:19Speaker 5: that I see is a lot of people are trying
- 42:21Speaker 5: to pack in so many different exercises in one session.
- 42:24Speaker 5: You don't have to hit every single muscle group, you
- 42:27Speaker 5: don't have to do all of that. You can hit one,
- 42:29Speaker 5: I say, four movements, especially in the thirty minute workout,
- 42:33Speaker 5: four exercises is all you need. So you got four
- 42:36Speaker 5: to five mobility exercises for your warm up, you got
- 42:39Speaker 5: four to five exercises for your actual workout, and then
- 42:43Speaker 5: you cool down, you stretch, you go for a quick
- 42:46Speaker 5: little walk, things like that. Squats for your main workout
- 42:50Speaker 5: is going to be a good one. Some rdls is
- 42:52Speaker 5: going to be a good one. You can add in
- 42:53Speaker 5: some pushups. Again, all of these things can be done
- 42:56Speaker 5: body weight. You don't necessarily need to go to the
- 42:58Speaker 5: gym and add all these If you're just starting out
- 43:02Speaker 5: and you are trying to time block and just dedicate
- 43:04Speaker 5: some amount of times to have some structure to it.
- 43:07Speaker 5: Add in some cat cows, add in some hi range
- 43:11Speaker 5: of motion things, some squats, some RDL, some pushups, and
- 43:15Speaker 5: then go for a walk or if it's cold outside,
- 43:18Speaker 5: orf it's rein or if that's not an option, do
- 43:20Speaker 5: some light stretching, some spit down, reach for your toes,
- 43:24Speaker 5: some a butterfly stretch, just something. But the more that
- 43:27Speaker 5: you do these simple movements, the more that you just
- 43:29Speaker 5: start moving your body around, you'll you'll feel so much better.
- 43:33Speaker 5: You'll have so much more motivation to actually go and
- 43:35Speaker 5: do these things. And these are these are simple movements
- 43:38Speaker 5: like you can sign on Instagram find a body weight
- 43:41Speaker 5: workout on Instagram. Now be careful, you know, because a
- 43:45Speaker 5: lot of those aren't. There are some people that are
- 43:47Speaker 5: doing some crazy stuff on there, but just simple movements.
- 43:49Speaker 5: Just just keep it simple as simple as possible.
- 43:53Speaker 4: Keep it simple. Now bring clarification. What is RDL.
- 43:58Speaker 5: URDL stands for Romanian dead lift, So what that movement
- 44:02Speaker 5: is doing? So you know, a squad, you're you're going
- 44:05Speaker 5: all the way up and down. When you think of
- 44:07Speaker 5: an r D O, you think about movement at your
- 44:09Speaker 5: waist instead of at your your your knees, so you're
- 44:13Speaker 5: more so hinging for you know. I always use the
- 44:17Speaker 5: example of you know, when you're trying to close the
- 44:19Speaker 5: door with your butt and you don't want to like
- 44:21Speaker 5: reach back there, You're just trying to close the door
- 44:23Speaker 5: in that movement. That's a good example.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's good.
- 44:32Speaker 4: Does a ray what do you think about this? I
- 44:34Speaker 4: think Breed is pretty cool, man, She's pretty dope. I
- 44:36Speaker 4: just love, uh, I love when God shows me what
- 44:42Speaker 4: it looks like to conquer your mountain, m right.
- 44:48Speaker 2: So you know, there's seven mountains of influence.
- 44:51Speaker 4: And I believe that each one of us is called
- 44:54Speaker 4: to a space and it's important in this life journey
- 44:58Speaker 4: that we find ourselves in that space doing exactly what
- 45:01Speaker 4: God has called us to do individually in that particular space.
- 45:04Speaker 4: So there's plenty of fitness coaches and you know, gyms
- 45:09Speaker 4: and things like that, but it's like, Okay, what do
- 45:11Speaker 4: you want me to do in this space? And I
- 45:12Speaker 4: think her heart speaks to where God is calling her
- 45:16Speaker 4: in this space that she's in. Yeah, you know what
- 45:18Speaker 4: I'm saying. It's not just about the workout, but it's
- 45:20Speaker 4: the whole person. It's like, yeah, I hear you saying
- 45:23Speaker 4: that you can't do this, but let's dig a little
- 45:25Speaker 4: deeper into why, because we can't allow this to be
- 45:27Speaker 4: a hindrance to where you need to go, you know.
- 45:30Speaker 2: And so it's just been really it's been really inspiring.
- 45:33Speaker 4: Even even being in the community with you and Kindle
- 45:36Speaker 4: and Jazz has been accountability for me. I actually I'm
- 45:40Speaker 4: not the best. I'm also have been an athlete like
- 45:44Speaker 4: all my life, right, So I love the gym, and
- 45:47Speaker 4: so for me, I'm lazy at home, Like that's what anything, Like,
- 45:51Speaker 4: I literally have to get like's praying, Like I used
- 45:52Speaker 4: to try to pray in a bed and I be sleep,
- 45:54Speaker 4: so I actually have to get up. I literally have
- 45:56Speaker 4: to get up and go somewhere to pray. And that's
- 45:58Speaker 4: kind the same thing with working out for me. I
- 46:00Speaker 4: have to get up and get out of the house
- 46:01Speaker 4: so I can be so I can give my attention
- 46:03Speaker 4: to that thing. But when I get up and I
- 46:05Speaker 4: get there, man, I feel so good. And then just
- 46:08Speaker 4: to see the results, Like as you're progressing and you
- 46:10Speaker 4: get to see the results, you're like, oh, man, like
- 46:13Speaker 4: my efforts are actually like working. So it just kind
- 46:16Speaker 4: of makes me more excited about staying consistent with it.
- 46:20Speaker 2: You know.
- 46:21Speaker 4: So I've really enjoyed this conversation. I've enjoyed getting to
- 46:24Speaker 4: know miss Brianna, you know what I'm saying, getting to
- 46:26Speaker 4: know her heart, getting to know her story. And I
- 46:29Speaker 4: hope you guys too, have really been listening, finding yourself
- 46:33Speaker 4: somewhere in this conversation and just starting somewhere. If you
- 46:36Speaker 4: haven't started, if you're not starting, if you haven't started yet,
- 46:39Speaker 4: just find something to start with and build upon that
- 46:42Speaker 4: because man, life is worth living.
- 46:45Speaker 2: Listen that life is worth living.
- 46:48Speaker 4: And the thing about it is we were talking about
- 46:51Speaker 4: value and valuing yourself not too long ago, and God like,
- 46:56Speaker 4: that's one of the things that God. I feel like
- 46:58Speaker 4: God cares about God cares about you enough, uh, and
- 47:01Speaker 4: he overly cares about you. He overly loves you, so
- 47:04Speaker 4: you can have enough love, some love to love yourself.
- 47:07Speaker 4: What I mean by that is we don't even have
- 47:09Speaker 4: the capacity to love ourselves. Sometimes we don't love ourselves
- 47:12Speaker 4: enough to value ourselves to see that the importance of
- 47:16Speaker 4: I need to just move for like thirty minutes. And
- 47:18Speaker 4: people are not just out here saying it though. People
- 47:20Speaker 4: are dying because they're they're there there their heart. It's
- 47:24Speaker 4: something the Lord is bringing this to my attention. There
- 47:27Speaker 4: was something I heard not too long ago where when
- 47:31Speaker 4: when your heart is almost like you're all so overweight
- 47:34Speaker 4: or so unhealthy that you're damaging your heart, Like you
- 47:39Speaker 4: have to take care of your heart. Your heart when
- 47:41Speaker 4: your as your heart beats, it's proof of your living.
- 47:44Speaker 2: When your heart stop, you dead, you know what I'm saying.
- 47:46Speaker 4: So we have to manage our outside or our inside
- 47:49Speaker 4: can be taken care of as well, Like you know
- 47:51Speaker 4: what I'm saying, Like it works, it works together. And
- 47:54Speaker 4: so Bri, I'm so excited that you decided to come
- 47:56Speaker 4: on here. I'm so glad to me.
- 47:59Speaker 2: You cool people, man, you real cool.
- 48:03Speaker 4: So one of the things that we do here just
- 48:05Speaker 4: is we believe in giving our gifts the final word.
- 48:08Speaker 4: And so if there's anything that you wanted to make
- 48:10Speaker 4: sure that you left here on this platform before you left,
- 48:13Speaker 4: if there's anything that you want to clear up the floor.
- 48:16Speaker 2: Is your seas.
- 48:18Speaker 5: Yeah, First off, I want to go back to what
- 48:21Speaker 5: Desi Ray was saying when she was talking about she
- 48:25Speaker 5: used to be an athlete and she actually enjoyed going
- 48:27Speaker 5: to the gym and it's hard for her to actually
- 48:29Speaker 5: do stuff at home. She needs to be in that
- 48:31Speaker 5: space so she can give it her attention. I love
- 48:33Speaker 5: that she said she can give it her attention, and
- 48:36Speaker 5: that is something that a lot of us, even people
- 48:39Speaker 5: that move a lot. Today we talked a lot about
- 48:42Speaker 5: people that aren't really on that journey and how you
- 48:44Speaker 5: can get started with that journey. But even if you
- 48:46Speaker 5: are that person that starts and stops and finds issues
- 48:50Speaker 5: with being consistent, just go. Nobody has ever left the
- 48:55Speaker 5: gym saying, dang, I'm mad I did that work out.
- 48:59Speaker 5: You don't leave the gym. I'm saying that, like you
- 49:01Speaker 5: may before you go to the gym, you may say, oh,
- 49:04Speaker 5: I do not feel like doing this today. I don't
- 49:05Speaker 5: feel like going there. I don't feel like doing this.
- 49:07Speaker 5: But as soon as you just get up and go,
- 49:10Speaker 5: the more that you just create that discipline within yourself
- 49:13Speaker 5: to just get up and go. Even yeah, even if
- 49:16Speaker 5: you just spend ten minutes in there and you say, okay,
- 49:18Speaker 5: I'm just gonna go walk on the tradill. Now you
- 49:21Speaker 5: walk on the trip, but you are okay, maybe I'll
- 49:22Speaker 5: go lift some weights, maybe I'll go do this, and
- 49:24Speaker 5: then you by the end of that, you're there for
- 49:25Speaker 5: thirty forty five minutes and you feel way better. You're
- 49:28Speaker 5: more productive, you're more creative, you're going back and you're
- 49:31Speaker 5: pouring into your business. You just feel better. You do
- 49:33Speaker 5: not leave the gym saying I wish I wouldn't have
- 49:36Speaker 5: done that. Like there's never been a moment before that happens.
- 49:41Speaker 2: Now there's straight things like I'm seeing here thinking like, dang,
- 49:44Speaker 2: she that's so right, Like you never leave. You might
- 49:49Speaker 2: go like dog, I don't feel like doing. But by
- 49:51Speaker 2: the time you done, you like e I did.
- 49:54Speaker 4: I did. Man, this has been so fun, Brie, I'm
- 49:59Speaker 4: so excited. Maybe we're gonna to I don't know. The
- 50:03Speaker 4: Lord's gonna just stretch us. We're gonna have a whole
- 50:05Speaker 4: entertainment thing and maybe we can invite you. What day
- 50:07Speaker 4: was like, Yeah, work out with Bree. Just we're gonna
- 50:10Speaker 4: we're gonna go with I'm here for it, man. Thank
- 50:15Speaker 4: you so much for uh. I was wanting to say,
- 50:17Speaker 4: tune in girl, you ain't tuning in you. Thank you,
- 50:27Speaker 4: Thank you so much for your presence on the podcast.
- 50:29Speaker 2: That's worry.

- 50:32Speaker 4: you and community. I love you guys, and you already
- 50:35Speaker 4: know until next time. Until next week, Remember life could
