Lucas: That word is atas. Listen closely. Lucas: Atas.... Atas. Luna: Atas. Like... on the table? Lucas: Yes. Atas means on or above. It describes position high up. Luna: Atas. Okay. I can remember that. It sounds like 'ah-tass'. Lucas: Perfect. Now let us say it in a small sentence. Lucas: Buku di atas meja. Luna: Buku di atas meja. The book is on the table. Lucas: Good job. That was smooth. So atas is our first word. Luna: Right. And what is the opposite of atas? Lucas: The opposite is below. Underneath. That word is bawah. Lucas: Bawah.... Bawah. Luna: Bawah. Like under the bed? Lucas: Yes. Bawah means under or below. Very common. Luna: Bawah. Okay. Let me try a sentence. Luna: Kucing di bawah kerusi. Lucas: Excellent. Kucing di bawah kerusi. The cat is under the chair. Luna: I feel like I am getting good at positions. Lucas: You are. You are doing great. Now we move inside. Luna: Inside? Is it just dalam? Lucas: Sometimes. But when we talk about location, we use di dalam. Lucas: Di dalam.... Di dalam. Luna: Di dalam. It feels longer. More specific. Lucas: It is more precise. It means inside something enclosed. Luna: Okay. Di dalam. Let me try. Luna: Air di dalam gelas. Lucas: Perfect. Air di dalam gelas. The water is inside the glass. Luna: That was easy. What is the last one? Lucas: Outside. Opposite of inside. That is di luar. Lucas: Di luar.... Di luar. Luna: Di luar. Like outside the house? Lucas: Yes. Di luar means outside. Open space. Luna: Di luar. Okay. One more sentence? Luna: Kita di luar rumah. Lucas: Great. Kita di luar rumah. We are outside the house. Luna: So we have atas, bawah, di dalam, and di luar. Lucas: Four words. Four directions of space. Let us review quickly. Lucas: On the table. In Malay? Luna: Atas. Lucas: Under the chair. Luna: Bawah. Lucas: Water inside the glass. Luna: Di dalam. Lucas: We are outside the house. Luna: Di luar.
