  Today's episode is called Following the Light You Have, Not the Light You Want.

  Have you ever prayed for clarity and felt like God answered with silence?

  You asked for direction. You asked for certainty.

  You asked for the whole plan. But instead, you're standing in the middle of
• 1:31
  life, thinking, I don't know what comes next. And that scares me.

  If that sounds familiar, you're not lacking faith. You're actually standing
• 1:41
  in a very biblical place.

  Today, we're talking about what it means to follow the light that you have,
• 1:48
  not the light you wish God would give you.

  In Matthew chapter 2, we read about the wise men, the Magi, or the Magi as they
• 1:57
  say. They didn't receive a full map.

  They didn't know every turn of the journey.
• 2:03
  They weren't told how long it would take. They were given a star,
• 2:08
  one light, one direction, enough to take them to the next step.

  You know, in Psalms 119 verse 105, it says, your word is the lamp to my feet and the light to my path.

  Notice what that entails. Notice what it doesn't say.

  It doesn't say a floodlight. It doesn't say a five-year plan.

  It says a lamp, just enough to light for the next step.

  Here's where many of us struggle, myself included. We want God to show us the
• 2:39
  destination before we commit to the journey.

  We say, God, I'll trust you.
• 2:45
  I'll trust you once I understand. I'll obey once I feel confident.
• 2:51
  I'll move once I know it's safe. But faith doesn't work that way.

  Faith is not certainty. Faith is movement.

  The wise men didn't wait for clarity. They walked with trust.
• 3:05
  And sometimes God withholds the full picture, not to punish us, but to keep us close.

  You know, if we had the whole plan, we might rely on the plan instead of the planner.

  God often reveals himself step by step because relationship is built along the way.

  Connecting to what people are feeling like today, that's the key.
• 3:29
  So right now, so many of people, so many of us are stuck in decisions that paralyze us.

  These are decisions that are paralysis, so to speak.

  Career uncertainty, relationship confusion,

  spiritual doubt fear of
• 3:47
  making the wrong move and social media
• 3:50
  makes it worse at times we see
• 3:53
  everything we see everyone else's highlight
• 3:56
  reel and assuming that they have clarity when most people are just walking by
• 4:02
  faith quietly here's the truth no one tells you enough not knowing everything
• 4:07
  doesn't mean you're behind it means you're human and very often it means you're
• 4:13
  exactly where God meets you.

  So here's a simple spiritual practice for this week.

  Instead of asking, God, what's the whole plan? Try saying, God,
• 4:24
  what is the next faithful step?
• 4:26
  And it might be making the phone call that you've been avoiding returning.
• 4:32
  Maybe it's a phone call that you're returning to prayer, even if it means when
• 4:37
  it feels dry, saying yes to the growth and no to the fear.

  Choosing obedience over comfort. You don't need clarity for the whole road.
• 4:47
  You need courage for the next step.
• 4:49
  And God promises this. When you move in faith, the light moves with you.

  Think about that as we pray. Heavenly Father, we thank you for this episode.

  We thank you that you do not and you have not and you don't abandon us in uncertainty. Help us trust.

  Help us to trust you. Even when the road ahead isn't clear, Give us the courage
• 5:14
  to follow the light you've already given us.

  Teach us to walk by faith, not by fear.

  And may you remember this today. May each and every one of you take in today's

  message because you don't need all the answers.

  You're not lost and God is still guiding you.

  We lift up in prayer those that have lost loved ones. We lift up in prayer those
