- 2:36We're on series five, which means we're in
- 2:37the fifth year.
- 2:38We've been on the air over four years.
- 2:39Series seven, episode number two, From Fear to
- 2:43Forward, Inner Safety and Emotional Strength.
- 2:47Yeah, that's what we're about here.
- 2:49So welcome to Inspirations for Your Life.
- 2:50Like I said, I'm John C.
- 2:51Morley, serial entrepreneur and engineer, marketing specialist, video
- 2:54producer, podcast host, coach, keynote speaker, graduate student,
- 2:57and a passionate lifelong learner.
- 3:00This week's master topic theme, it's simple.
- 3:03It's basically very powerful, From Fear to Being
- 3:07Forward.
- 3:07Not by forcing confidence, but by pretending fear
- 3:12doesn't exist, but by building something stronger than
- 3:15fear and what it elicits, inner safety.
- 3:18Because when you feel safe inside, you don't
- 3:21rush, you don't spiral, you don't give your
- 3:24power away.
- 3:25Today is all about emotional strength, the kind
- 3:28that steadies you, the kind that carries you
- 3:30forward, even when conditions, well, let's face it,
- 3:33guys, they may not be perfect.
- 3:36There may never be a perfect time.
- 3:40So yeah, I think that's an important thing
- 3:44to understand.
- 3:45A lot of people don't, and it causes
- 3:49people to derail, okay?
- 3:52Yeah.
- 3:54So our first thing I want to go
- 3:56over is what inner safety really is about.
- 4:01Inner safety is not comfort, guys.
- 4:03It's not avoidance.
- 4:04It's not staying small.
- 4:07Inner safety is the ability to remain grounded
- 4:10while life applies pressure, okay?
- 4:14It's knowing you can feel discomfort without falling
- 4:18apart.
- 4:19It's trusting yourself to handle what comes next.
- 4:23It's staying present instead of panicking.
- 4:26You see, most people think confidence comes first.
- 4:29Spoiler alert, it doesn't.
- 4:32And some people are like, oh, wait, I
- 4:34got to get the confidence first, then I
- 4:35can do what I want to do.
- 4:36Well, sure, you could actually do that, but
- 4:38that's not going to help you.
- 4:42It's not going to help you because of
- 4:44the premise that I'm talking about, guys, and
- 4:47the premises that you have to know who
- 4:49you are.
- 4:49And I think those are important things.
- 4:51A lot of people think that you can
- 4:52just do something and then, bam, it happens.
- 4:56But there's planning that has to go on
- 4:58behind the scenes.
- 4:59I think that's a really important thing right
- 5:03there.
- 5:03So safety, guys, comes first.
- 5:07Confidence grows from safety.
- 5:09Let me say that again.
- 5:10Safety has to come first.
- 5:12And then confidence grows from our safety.
- 5:15When your nervous system feels supported, your mind
- 5:19clears up.
- 5:20Your decisions become sharper.
- 5:23Your reactions, well, they slow.
- 5:27See, that's real pure strength.
- 5:30And it's not being in a reactive mindset.
- 5:33It's being in a proactive mindset.
- 5:36And I think that's something, again, that a
- 5:37lot of people, oh, I'm just going to
- 5:39say this, that they don't really get, okay?
- 5:46Yeah, people just don't seem to get what
- 5:49that is, all right?
- 5:52And so maybe you're going to say to
- 5:53me, John, I don't quite understand.
- 5:58I don't quite understand it.
- 6:00But in time, you're going to appreciate it
- 6:04more.
- 6:05You're going to appreciate it more.
- 6:08And that moreness is going to hopefully propel
- 6:11you to a completely new level, all right?
- 6:15A very, very new level.
- 6:17And again, it's not something you just click
- 6:19your fingers and bam, it happens.
- 6:20It does not work like that, folks.
- 6:22I'm sorry to tell you.
- 6:23That's not how it works.
- 6:26The way it works is pretty interesting.
- 6:31And that is understanding emotional safety.
- 6:34So why emotional safety fuels confidence?
- 6:36Let's dive into that section, okay?
- 6:41And tonight, we don't have as many points,
- 6:43but we have bigger subtopics that encompass more.
- 6:49So why emotional safety fuels confidence?
- 6:51Confidence without safety, it's brittle, right?
- 6:55It's like having a very thin piece of
- 6:59paper.
- 7:00Without the proper backing, it's just going to
- 7:02kind of fall apart.
- 7:03It cracks under stress.
- 7:06But, okay, confidence built on inner safety is
- 7:11durable, sustainable.
- 7:14When you feel safe, you don't chase for
- 7:17validation.
- 7:18You don't look for it.
- 7:19You don't over-explain things.
- 7:20You don't freeze under pressure.
- 7:23So I had an interesting thing today.
- 7:25I was with somebody.
- 7:28And they kind of, I won't say they
- 7:33were rude to me, but I will say
- 7:34they were disappointing.
- 7:40You know, I always expect people to be
- 7:42nice and that.
- 7:43But then when their world kind of goes,
- 7:44let's say, south, then if you're not helping
- 7:48them, suddenly, well, they don't have time to
- 7:51talk to you, which I think is really,
- 7:53really bad.
- 7:53So you don't freeze under pressure, okay?
- 7:58That's the most important thing.
- 7:58You don't freeze under pressure.
- 8:01And a lot of people do.
- 8:02You respond instead of reacting.
- 8:04So responding, okay, and being proactive rather than
- 8:08retroactive, that's what makes a very, very huge
- 8:12difference, okay?
- 8:14You respond instead of reacting.
- 8:17I've said before, even with planning for, you
- 8:19know, so there's no fire, you know, it's
- 8:21better to be proactive than reactive.
- 8:23Reactive is quicker, and a lot of times
- 8:26we miss things.
- 8:27Approval becomes optional.
- 8:30Reassurance becomes internal.
- 8:32And the fear, well, it loses leverage.
- 8:35Unfortunately, guys, it loses leverage.
- 8:39And this is why I want to tell
- 8:41you that calm people often outperform the loud
- 8:44ones.
- 8:44Now, you might say, well, gee, John, you
- 8:46know, they're getting more attention.
- 8:47Yeah, they're getting more attention, but they're also
- 8:49causing more problems.
- 8:52They are causing more problems.
- 8:56And that's an issue for a lot of
- 8:59people, right?
- 9:01It's an issue for a lot of people.
- 9:03And maybe you're going to say to me,
- 9:04John, well, that doesn't happen to me, okay?
- 9:12I think sometimes we want a result, but
- 9:16then when the result doesn't happen, we think
- 9:20we can just re-engineer it.
- 9:22But that's not how it works.
- 9:24We can't make somebody do what we want.
- 9:27We have to understand what their motives are,
- 9:31all right?
- 9:32Because when we get somebody to see something
- 9:34from another point of view, that's not changing
- 9:37their view like in a rough way.
- 9:40That's saying, hey, I'm on this side of
- 9:42the fence, and there's been no water on
- 9:45this side.
- 9:46This side has plenty of water.
- 9:48I need some water here.
- 9:49My grass is going to die.
- 9:51You get my point.
- 9:52They're not distracted by the emotional noise, which
- 9:55happens day in and day out.
- 9:57They are regulated, they are focused, and they
- 9:59are grounded, folks.
- 10:01They are grounded all the time, not just
- 10:05like for five minutes, and then like, oh,
- 10:07you know, I don't need to do this
- 10:08anymore.
- 10:09Yes, you do.
- 10:09You need to do this all the time.
- 10:12I think that's a very important thing.
- 10:14So section three here, doing this by section
- 10:18stay instead of bullet points, building trust with
- 10:21yourself is so fundamental.
- 10:26I was speaking to somebody before.
- 10:28It was actually via a text.
- 10:31And you know, I always keep the people
- 10:32I speak with, I keep that confidential.
- 10:34But it was somebody that was talking, was
- 10:36just a fan, and they responded back to
- 10:40me with, you know, patience grasshopper.
- 10:43And I wanted to put this, because this
- 10:46is very apropos, you know, it's like things
- 10:48happen, and they happen for a reason, okay?
- 10:51Does anybody know where the phrase came from?
- 10:54Does anybody know where the phrase came from?
- 10:57You know, patience grasshopper.
- 10:59Does anybody know where that came from?
- 11:02Where do you think that came from?
- 11:04So it's been around for a while, okay?
- 11:06It's been around for quite a while.
- 11:08So you've heard the phrase, I'm sure.
- 11:12But the quote and its origins are pretty
- 11:15important.
- 11:15Although patience and young grasshopper came around 1984
- 11:19from the Karate Kid, it's not where the
- 11:22common said phrase actually originated from, although we
- 11:25know it from Karate Kid.
- 11:26The phrase actually comes from a television show
- 11:28called Kung Fu.
- 11:30And the lead character, Kawai Chang Kane, played
- 11:34by David Carradine, often thought back to his
- 11:37early years training as a Shaolin, a monk
- 11:42in Asia.
- 11:42During this training, his blind Chinese master would
- 11:45say, patience, young grasshopper, to him.
- 11:49And the sentence was first uttered when the
- 11:51ignorant Kanan asked his blind master how he
- 11:54could function without eyesight.
- 11:57Po asked Kane to close his eyes and
- 11:59describe what he could hear.
- 12:01After he described the water flowing and birds
- 12:03chirping nearby, Kane asked if he could not
- 12:06hear his own heartbeat or the grasshopper at
- 12:10his feet.
- 12:11And this is where the endearing name grasshopper
- 12:15originates.
- 12:16Master Po used to call his student grasshopper,
- 12:19signifying patience as an important and ideal skill
- 12:22for a martial artist.
- 12:24It was mostly used as a term of
- 12:26affection, letting Kawai know that he was much
- 12:30less experienced than Master Po.
- 12:33What does patience, young grasshopper really mean?
- 12:36Okay, in the source material, grasshopper, quote unquote,
- 12:40it's used by a wise elder to describe
- 12:42a naive, inexperienced, or unskilled person.
- 12:45Generally, grasshoppers are constantly jumping from one point
- 12:48to the next without very, let's say, much
- 12:53going into their thoughts, acting in an impulsive
- 12:55and irrational way.
- 12:57The master may be slower, but he's wiser
- 12:59and understands what is important to him because
- 13:02he is more aware of his surroundings.
- 13:05The younger student is still jumping about, not
- 13:08thinking about his next move, which is very
- 13:12negative in martial arts.
- 13:14You have to always be thinking about the
- 13:16next move.
- 13:17On the other hand, patience is considered one
- 13:19of the most powerful martial arts practices and
- 13:22key skill to learn in life.
- 13:24In fact, patience in martial arts is considered
- 13:26an antidote to anger because being angry with
- 13:29someone can stop you from focusing on your
- 13:31true desires and can lead to you losing
- 13:34what you're fighting for.
- 13:36Thus, patience is a discipline that needs us
- 13:39to understand.
- 13:41It has to be learned, especially by young
- 13:43people who tend to prefer knee-jerk reactions.
- 13:46So altogether, this phrase, patience, young grasshopper, Master
- 13:50Po is essentially telling Kane to have patience
- 13:53and pay attention to the smaller things around
- 13:56him.
- 13:57It's used in other media, quotes, memes.
- 14:00The phrase also appeared in a few other
- 14:02TV shows over the years, most notably, Patience,
- 14:05Young Grasshopper, was also featured in the 1985
- 14:09movie, Karate Kid, which included Mr. Miyagi teaching
- 14:13David LaRusso about karate.
- 14:15In nearly all circumstances, the phrase is used
- 14:18when an elder is trying to teach a
- 14:19younger person or student something.
- 14:22It has also evolved into the phrase, the
- 14:25grasshopper becomes the master.
- 14:27So patience, you must have, my young Padawan,
- 14:32is another version of this phrase, which is
- 14:34commonly misattributed to Yoda in Star Wars.
- 14:38Yes, the franchise.
- 14:39It's not actually said by any character, guys,
- 14:43but it could easily fit into the themes
- 14:46of the franchise.
- 14:47Now, you'll see patience, young grasshopper, used in
- 14:50lots of different ways and contexts, from training
- 14:53your dog to planting flowers in your garden.
- 14:56You'll also see lots of guides and articles
- 14:58with the phrase in the title or in
- 15:01its content.
- 15:02Yes, patience, young grasshopper, and its meaning has
- 15:04evolved as language often does.
- 15:07One such usage of the phrase is commonly
- 15:09seen among younger generation in relation to IT
- 15:13and tech.
- 15:15It's used when a person, let's say, is
- 15:17given a problem and is testing someone to
- 15:19a breaking point.
- 15:20This is because lots of people in tech
- 15:22are young and eager, but often miss key
- 15:25points at the start of their careers because
- 15:27they're trying to jump ahead too early.
- 15:29For example, let's say, so there are different
- 15:32letters than the levels of the OSI model.
- 15:34I'm not going to get into that today,
- 15:35but there's one level called the physical layer.
- 15:38And so many people start the application or
- 15:40a higher layer, and they forget that 99
- 15:43% of all issues are physical.
- 15:44So the physical layer are things like cabling,
- 15:48okay?
- 15:49Are things connected correctly?
- 15:50Is there, you know, is something wrong on
- 15:52that level?
- 15:53So that's the most important thing.
- 15:55Is there something wrong at that level?
- 15:57Is it a cabling level?
- 15:58Is it a connection?
- 15:58Is the device even present, okay?
- 16:01So what does it mean if someone says
- 16:03this phrase to you?
- 16:04So if someone says, patient, young grasshopper, to
- 16:07you, is it good or bad?
- 16:09Well, the context is everything.
- 16:11As it said earlier, patient, young grasshopper, is
- 16:15often said to someone who is rushing through
- 16:16something and not thinking straight, like the source
- 16:19material we heard.
- 16:20It is usually said by someone who is
- 16:22more respected, older, or in a position of
- 16:25power.
- 16:26Sometimes it is said in an ancient mimicking
- 16:28character from one of the other materials.
- 16:31If you're a young apprentice in training, someone
- 16:33above you in the work chain may call
- 16:35you a grasshopper.
- 16:37It's probably in affection, but you may see
- 16:40it as patronizing and see it as an
- 16:44elder trying to remind you that they know
- 16:45more than you.
- 16:47Don't lose heart on it, okay?
- 16:48They're trying to help you.
- 16:50I think that is the most important thing
- 16:52to realize of the true meaning of the
- 16:55phrase is simple, yet it is very deep.
- 16:59So somebody says that it probably means that
- 17:01you're hopping around an awful lot, all right?
- 17:04So I just wanted to share that.
- 17:06So inner safety is built through self-trust
- 17:08and patient, young grasshopper is a very good
- 17:11way to understand that.
- 17:14Every time you keep a promise to yourself,
- 17:17trust grows a little more.
- 17:18Every time you regulate instead of react, trust
- 17:21grows a little more.
- 17:22Every time you choose presence over panic, trust
- 17:25grows again.
- 17:26Now, self-trust isn't about being perfect, okay?
- 17:29It's about being consistent, okay?
- 17:33When you trust yourself, you don't need external
- 17:39permission to move forward.
- 17:41You already know you'll handle what comes next.
- 17:44That's emotional strength.
- 17:45And in the next major part here, calm
- 17:50as a form of strength is very key.
- 17:52Calm is not passive, calm is powerful.
- 17:54Calm is the ability to stay clear when
- 17:56others rush.
- 17:58Calm is leadership, okay?
- 18:00Under pressure, basically.
- 18:02Calm is confidence without an ego.
- 18:04The strongest people in the room are rarely
- 18:06the loudest people in the room.
- 18:08They're the steadiest people.
- 18:09We've talked about this before.
- 18:11A lot of people think that if they
- 18:12get your attention by yelling or screaming, yeah,
- 18:15they're going to get your attention, but how
- 18:16long are they going to hold it for?
- 18:17Not very long.
- 18:19Calm and steady wins the race.
- 18:21Calm allows you to see options, read situations,
- 18:23make better choices.
- 18:24See, that's why calm is a competitive advantage
- 18:27that a lot of people miss.
- 18:29Our next major block is number five, is
- 18:31self-soothing under pressure.
- 18:33One of the most overlooked skills, guys, today
- 18:37is self-soothing.
- 18:39So self-soothing doesn't mean avoiding problems.
- 18:41Nope, doesn't mean that.
- 18:43It means regulating your internal state so problems
- 18:46don't control you.
- 18:48I'm going to give you an example.
- 18:49The other night I was at Flow Follies
- 18:54and we were finishing up.
- 18:55It was actually our very first night.
- 18:57It was actually Friday night, okay?
- 19:00Just a few days ago.
- 19:01And that was February 6th.
- 19:03So our show started at 7 o'clock,
- 19:05actually 7 o'clock, it was a little
- 19:06late, but we usually start at seven.
- 19:08And so I'd got there a few hours
- 19:11earlier because call time was like two hours
- 19:13before.
- 19:14Got all dressed, everything was fine.
- 19:16And I remember that night I had owned,
- 19:18there was this one lady I had, they
- 19:19were collecting money for like a card for
- 19:22a couple of people that were helping us.
- 19:25One was a choreographer, there was a second
- 19:26choreographer.
- 19:27So they were collecting money.
- 19:31So I said, you know what?
- 19:33I am going to get money out of
- 19:34my wallet, put it in my jeans, and
- 19:38I'm going to get another, another, so I'm
- 19:41going to take some money for that.
- 19:41I'm also going to take some money to
- 19:43buy one of my staff members a ticket,
- 19:45which incidentally he couldn't make because the snow
- 19:48wasn't shoveled and it was just a complete
- 19:49disaster.
- 19:50But anyway, what happened, which is very interesting,
- 19:53is that I had taken that money out.
- 19:57So I did buy the ticket, that was
- 19:59number one.
- 20:03And I had taken the other money to
- 20:05give this lady.
- 20:06But there was another part that I owed
- 20:07because I thought it was going to be
- 20:08like one amount, but it was like double
- 20:10because they raised it for whatever reason.
- 20:12So anyway, I was there and again, I
- 20:21went back to my dressing room and then
- 20:25the night came.
- 20:27You know what happened?
- 20:28My wallet wasn't in my bag.
- 20:32And so I kept trying to go through
- 20:35my head and I was like, where is
- 20:38it?
- 20:38I kept walking through my steps and the
- 20:42show ended, it was like about 9.30.
- 20:45So when I stayed a little bit longer
- 20:46trying to look for my wallet and the
- 20:49producer actually helped me as well.
- 20:52And we didn't find it.
- 20:53Now, a lot of people would have been
- 20:54like freaking out like you would imagine.
- 20:58I said, well, I have my protection service
- 21:01monitoring, so I'm not worried.
- 21:05And I hadn't gotten any alerts about my
- 21:08credit cards being used or anything.
- 21:09But they were having a cast party and
- 21:11she said, well, if you need money, I
- 21:12can loan you.
- 21:12I said, well, I have Apple Pay.
- 21:13So if they take it, I can pay
- 21:16the bill with my iPhone.
- 21:19Okay.
- 21:20Now, most people would have freaked the heck
- 21:22out.
- 21:23I didn't.
- 21:26I came home, did a little bit of
- 21:29brainstorming and I still, ladies and gentlemen, I
- 21:32still didn't have it.
- 21:37So I said, you know what?
- 21:37When I go in there, I'm gonna go
- 21:40in there early the next day, which was
- 21:42Saturday.
- 21:42I went in at three o'clock.
- 21:47And I got there and I said, first
- 21:55thing I'm gonna do is I am going
- 21:56to figure out what cameras I was near
- 21:58because they had cameras there, right?
- 22:00And then I was gonna go find the
- 22:01janitor.
- 22:03And I did.
- 22:05And I said, Jimmy, sir, I was hoping
- 22:08you could help me if you could pull
- 22:10up the feed for cameras, such and such
- 22:14and such and such.
- 22:16I would appreciate it because I lost my
- 22:19wallet.
- 22:20I don't know how it left my bag.
- 22:22It just, it's not there.
- 22:24And he's like, oh, you lost your wallet?
- 22:25I said, yes.
- 22:26He goes, Browns.
- 22:27I said, yes.
- 22:28He says, I have your wallet.
- 22:30And I said, oh, thank you very much.
- 22:32And so I didn't let that lost wallet
- 22:36control me.
- 22:40I knew that it was gonna come back.
- 22:42It wasn't back, let's say Saturday.
- 22:45I would have had it by the end
- 22:46of Sunday.
- 22:47But I checked, I went around.
- 22:48I said, there's just no way that I
- 22:50moved it.
- 22:51I didn't put it anywhere.
- 22:53So what we found out is that they
- 22:54were cleaning.
- 22:56And when they were cleaning, they knocked over
- 22:58my bag in the dressing area and somebody
- 23:00kicked my wallet.
- 23:01It was on the floor or whatever.
- 23:03And that's why I never saw it.
- 23:05That's why every time I walked around, it
- 23:06was nowhere near where I was because somebody
- 23:09had kicked it.
- 23:11But my point is that you can't get
- 23:13all stressed out.
- 23:14You can't let the problem control you.
- 23:16I also use the Neville Goddard, they call
- 23:20it the SAS, SATS technique.
- 23:26And the SAS technique, believe it or not
- 23:29guys, is a very, very SATS, okay?
- 23:37And it's called state akin to sleep.
- 23:41And I did it.
- 23:42And I said, I know that I'm gonna
- 23:44find it.
- 23:45And the fact that they did this to
- 23:47me, I said to myself, I gotta do
- 23:48something nice for them.
- 23:49So I'm actually gonna buy them a pizza
- 23:51one day this week.
- 23:53So that's important to realize.
- 23:54Don't let your problems own you.
- 23:56What stress hits your ability to ground yourself,
- 24:00it determines your outcome.
- 24:02So don't let that happen.
- 24:03Remember the breathing.
- 24:04Remember the pausing, slowing your response.
- 24:06These are not small skills guys, even though
- 24:08they seem like it.
- 24:10They're power skills.
- 24:12Because whoever controls their nervous system controls the
- 24:15decisions, which affects the reality, which affects their
- 24:18dreams and their success.
- 24:21Section six, how inner safety unlocks creativity.
- 24:25So creativity doesn't thrive in fear.
- 24:28It thrives in safety.
- 24:29When your system is constantly bracing your mind
- 24:31and narrowing it, your thinking contracts, kind of
- 24:35like your people contracts in your eye.
- 24:40When there is basically, when there's plenty of
- 24:44light, it contracts.
- 24:47When it's dark, it opens, expands.
- 24:50So this whole thing about being safe in
- 24:51your mind, it expands when you feel safe.
- 24:54So ideas connect, solutions appear, innovations flow when
- 24:58you don't become so stressed about a situation.
- 25:03All right, inner safety creates the mental space
- 25:06and space creates possibility guys.
- 25:10Section seven, stability in unstable environments.
- 25:13We don't live in stable times, unfortunately.
- 25:16That's reality.
- 25:17Things can happen, like a wallet could go
- 25:19missing.
- 25:20But I knew in that venue that probably
- 25:22somebody wasn't gonna steal it.
- 25:23But stability doesn't have to come from the
- 25:26outside.
- 25:27It can come from within us.
- 25:31When your internal state, let's say changes, you
- 25:37can become harder to shake, harder to derail,
- 25:40harder to quote unquote manipulate.
- 25:43And that's what I like to call emotional
- 25:44resilience.
- 25:46And then section eight, grounding changes decisions.
- 25:49Grounded people decide differently.
- 25:51They don't rush, they don't catastrophize things.
- 25:55They don't assume the worst case scenario.
- 25:57They pause, they assess, they choose, intentionalize.
- 26:02Grounding turns emotional reactions into thoughtful responses.
- 26:08And responses shape outcomes every day.
- 26:11Number nine, safety is not weakness.
- 26:13Let's clear this up right off the bat.
- 26:15Safety is not weakness.
- 26:16Safety is readiness.
- 26:17When you feel safe, you can take risks.
- 26:20You can speak up, you can move forward.
- 26:22Fear keeps you small.
- 26:24Safety expands capacity.
- 26:26Let's remember that.
- 26:26And that's the difference, guys.
- 26:29Section 10, emotional regulation as a power skill.
- 26:32In today's world, emotional regulation is leadership.
- 26:36It's the ability to stay composed, to stay
- 26:39present, to stay effective, to stay in the
- 26:41moment.
- 26:42When others spiral, regulate people rise.
- 26:45Now, a lot of other people could have
- 26:46spiraled as, oh my gosh, the rest of
- 26:48my life.
- 26:48I'm like, okay, so the wallet got lost.
- 26:50And it's going to turn up.
- 26:52It will turn up no matter what happens.
- 26:54It definitely will turn up.
- 26:56And I can tell you that that's a
- 26:58very, that's a very, very important thing.
- 27:04And I will tell you, this is something
- 27:06that you definitely can, you know, rise upon.
- 27:10You can understand that.
- 27:12Don't let that thing happen.
- 27:13Like, I'll give you an example.
- 27:14One time something fell, right?
- 27:16A glass broke.
- 27:17Okay, glass broke.
- 27:18Great, let's move on.
- 27:19Let's not let it spiral a whole day.
- 27:21Okay, that's important too.
- 27:22Because what happens, you keep compounding, then you're,
- 27:24oh, I gotta look for something else wrong.
- 27:25And you keep doing that.
- 27:28And, you know, your body will do whatever
- 27:29you tell it.
- 27:30So if you look for bad things, they're
- 27:31going to keep looking for the bad things.
- 27:32If you're looking for good things, you have
- 27:33to look for good things.
- 27:34So the skill compounds, guys, over time, in
- 27:37relationships, in business, and in life, and is
- 27:40one of the most valuable, priceless assets you
- 27:43can build in your life.
- 27:44Section 11, inner peace and performance are key.
- 27:48Peace doesn't slow you down.
- 27:50It sharpens you.
- 27:51When your mind isn't cluttered with fear, performance
- 27:54improves, guys.
- 27:54Focus deepens, energy stabilizes.
- 27:58That's important, guys.
- 28:00And inner peace is not escape, it's efficiency.
