  Speaker 9: for wrestling in it, which is almost like sometimes a

  Speaker 9: whole year for some of these feuds. Uh, Like we

  Speaker 9: said this kind of felt rushed, you know, putting this

  Speaker 9: card together. Some matches were built, some stores.

  Speaker 12: Reminded me, kind of reminded me when a band releases

  Speaker 12: a double album, right, and it's like he took half

  Speaker 11: going to be two nights, I was never opposed to

  Speaker 11: it because I always felt that if there was any

  Speaker 11: pl that warranted two nights outside of WrestleMania, it's gonna

  Speaker 11: be their second biggest one, which is Summer Slam. So

  Speaker 11: I never was opposed to it being two nights, and

  Speaker 11: even after this, I'm still not opposed to a two
• 10:18
  Speaker 11: nights Summer Slam. But I do think they need to
• 10:21
  Speaker 11: seriously evaluate how much more they want to push this
• 10:26
  Speaker 11: two night thing. Like I definitely don't think Royal Rumble
• 10:29
  Speaker 11: needs to be two nights. I don't think Money in
• 10:32
  Speaker 11: the Bank or Survivor Series or any of those need
• 10:34
  Speaker 11: to be two nights. I think if you extend that
• 10:38
  Speaker 11: to more pls one it becomes less special and then
• 10:40
  Speaker 11: it just clearly becomes about greed, which at this point
• 10:44
  Speaker 11: we probably shouldn't be surprised by tko wwe pursuing greed.

  Speaker 11: But this did this live up to the two night
• 10:54
  Speaker 11: hype and that regard, I'm probably gonna say no, it
• 10:59
  Speaker 11: did not, just because a lot of this, just as
• 11:04
  Speaker 11: Duill you know, describe, a lot of this could have
• 11:06
  Speaker 11: been left out. We could have had probably one night
• 11:10
  Speaker 11: of a really great summer Slam, but it's there, we
• 11:13
  Speaker 11: got too, okay to good nights.

  Speaker 7: Yeah, it's great that Sammy and carry Across gone on
• 11:21
  Speaker 7: pay per view.

  Speaker 12: That's objectively a good thing. But to what end, I
• 11:25
  Speaker 12: mean approximately, who the hell knows what's going on with him.

  Speaker 12: It's just like it it didn't do anything. It didn't
• 11:30
  Speaker 12: serve any per it didn't advance anything, you know. And
• 11:35
  Speaker 12: this whole notion that like, because it's a big event,

  Speaker 12: something we need to invent some monumental thing to happen,
• 11:43
  Speaker 12: you know, be it you know, shocking return, which we'll
• 11:47
  Speaker 12: get to, or you know, the revelation that Seth's injury
• 11:51
  Speaker 12: wasn't real or whatever. It's just like, sometimes why can't

  Speaker 12: we let the wrestling sometimes speak for itself and have
• 11:56
  Speaker 12: a big moment that happens in the ring. Just be
• 11:59
  Speaker 12: a big moment and let that be the Obama instead
• 12:01
  Speaker 12: of having an event something else.

  Speaker 7: Oh wait to match it over. But then there's all

  Speaker 7: this stuff. You know, it's like the Marvel after credit sye.

  Speaker 12: The wrestling being the story instead of the thing that

  Speaker 11: And I do think if there's any takeaway from this

  Speaker 11: that or anything that w W should take away from this,

  Speaker 11: is that if you're going to have a two night show,

  Speaker 11: it needs to really be worth it on both nights,

  Speaker 11: and that needs to be reflected in both the end
• 12:40
  Speaker 11: ring product and the build up, because I think the
• 12:43
  Speaker 11: one thing that this Summer Slam definitely suffered from was
• 12:47
  Speaker 11: a lack of build up. And that's just the further
• 12:51
  Speaker 11: that's just the domino effect of all the pls that
• 12:54
  Speaker 11: they crammed into May and June and July two to
• 13:00
  Speaker 11: three weeks that didn't leave you enough time to make
• 13:03
  Speaker 11: a proper build up for a two night Summer Slam,
• 13:06
  Speaker 11: so you had to go off of shock value and
• 13:09
  Speaker 11: returns and cramming stuff in at the last minute, whereas WrestleMania,
• 13:16
  Speaker 11: the build for that starts months in advance, they advertise it,
• 13:20
  Speaker 11: they build it up that way. The road to WrestleMania
• 13:23
  Speaker 11: starts at what the Royal Rumble. Now, we're not going
• 13:27
  Speaker 11: to go back in, you know, relitigate how that build
• 13:30
  Speaker 11: up was this year, but typically in the past it's worked.
• 13:33
  Speaker 11: If they're gonna do this for Summer Slam and have
• 13:35
  Speaker 11: this two night thing, they need to start. They need
• 13:38
  Speaker 11: to consider following a similar path a road to SummerSlam,
• 13:42
  Speaker 11: and let that start with something. I thought they were
• 13:45
  Speaker 11: onto something pretty good last year when they were doing
• 13:48
  Speaker 11: when they had the King and Queen of the Ring
• 13:50
  Speaker 11: and that led to matches at SummerSlam. That seemed like
• 13:53
  Speaker 11: a good foundation to build upon, especially going into this
• 13:58
  Speaker 11: two night format that they were going to do this year.

  Speaker 11: But they just seemingly, I mean, they still had it,
• 14:07
  Speaker 11: but they didn't build on it. If anything, they took
• 14:10
  Speaker 11: more of a step back with King and Queen of
• 14:12
  Speaker 11: the Ring this year than they did last year. It

  Speaker 11: didn't have its own pol it was just part of
• 14:19
  Speaker 11: a show, and from there it was barely even brought
• 14:24
  Speaker 11: up anymore. So there's definitely hopefully they take some take
• 14:31
  Speaker 11: away some lessons from this and don't just look at hey,
• 14:34
  Speaker 11: look at all the money we made.
• 14:37
  Speaker 5: Nothing to fix here.

  Speaker 12: Well, another thing about this card, and I think I

  Speaker 7: The placement of some of these matches made no sense

  Speaker 12: triple threat to start the show, which is great.

  Speaker 7: And luckily didn't get into weapons use.

  Speaker 12: But it's just like by the time that the last

  Speaker 12: match came around, it's just like I've seen enough people

  Speaker 12: get hit with chairs and get thrown two tables, and

  Speaker 12: like we've seen that all night already, Like it stops
• 15:19
  Speaker 12: losing its effectiveness if you if you load all the
• 15:22
  Speaker 12: weapons matches together. So that was another another another oddity
• 15:27
  Speaker 12: I found with the construction.

  Speaker 5: Of the card.

  Speaker 11: Definitely crammed all the gimmick stipulation matches into this night
• 15:35
  Speaker 11: and left Night one Bear.

  Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, very true. I'm looking. I'm looking in comparison

  Speaker 9: right now, just singles matches. Well, we had those crazy
• 15:48
  Speaker 9: stipulations for Sammy's A and carrying.

  Speaker 13: Cross, yes, which did not cover in fruition whatsoever, all

  Speaker 9: we were discussing at the opening of the show, Go Ahead,

  Speaker 11: Yep, that is what kicked off night too, our triple

  Speaker 11: threat match for the Women's World Championship with Naomi the

  Speaker 11: champion defending against Ria Ripley.

  Speaker 5: And EO Sky. This match probably could have been do

  Speaker 5: I want to say? Yeah?

  Speaker 11: This match probably could have been match of the night

  Speaker 11: had it not been for the main event. This was

  Speaker 11: a really good match that went back and forth like
• 16:42
  Speaker 11: a mug. Everybody got their moments to shine, and we

  Speaker 11: got a satisfying win from Naomi almost how I predicted it,
• 16:53
  Speaker 11: but not quite. But she did get the pin on
• 16:58
  Speaker 11: Rhea a bit to my A bit to my surprise.

  Speaker 11: I think I had predicted somewhere that Rio was gonna
• 17:07
  Speaker 11: have Eo defeated what she did. And I thought Naomi

  Speaker 11: was going to take out Rhea and pin Eo to retain,
• 17:15
  Speaker 11: but instead she just snatched up Riha with a roll
• 17:19
  Speaker 11: up and got health the tights and got the pin.

  Speaker 11: So one, we got Naomi retaining, which was good. I
• 17:28
  Speaker 11: like that she retained and mean, and this wasn't she
• 17:31
  Speaker 11: wasn't treated as a transitional champion just to get it
• 17:33
  Speaker 11: on a bigger name.

  Speaker 5: I e Rhea. I'm glad that Ria actually took the pen.

  Speaker 5: That was good props to her.

  Speaker 11: And we're also continuing the whole fact that Rhea has

  Speaker 5: So this match was a win all around for me.

  Speaker 9: you know, normal triple threat matches, right, there's always gonna

  Speaker 9: be an alliance of some kind, right, And and we

  Speaker 9: did see a little bit for sut amount of time
• 18:26
  Speaker 9: against Naomi the you know, the odds are stacked Dancer,
• 18:29
  Speaker 9: but uh, you know, just a little mishap and and
• 18:32
  Speaker 9: have Naomi ducking and then you got real you know,
• 18:36
  Speaker 9: knocking out Eo. But let's not forget ladys and gents.

  Speaker 9: This is a triple threat, so you know, everyone's to shock, like,
• 18:43
  Speaker 9: oh my god, now what now? Now we fight because

  Speaker 9: this is a triple threat match. I'm glad the Alliance
• 18:48
  Speaker 9: ended pretty early. When it did, we got to see uh,
• 18:53
  Speaker 9: you know, Sky do a six to one nine, which
• 18:56
  Speaker 9: I thought was pretty cool. I didn't see that coming.
• 18:59
  Speaker 9: And it looks like more than or people are starting
• 19:00
  Speaker 9: to use the six one nine. Uh maybe because Rage
• 19:03
  Speaker 9: is not around it anymore. I guess, I guess it's
• 19:06
  Speaker 9: open for other wrestlers to use.

  Speaker 9: I mean, just these three individuals in the ring, they're

  Speaker 9: they're very good, very very good, and they were able

  Speaker 9: to keep us well entertained and pretty damn well energized.

  Speaker 9: see uh Rhea take she took uh Eo to the

  Speaker 9: top rope to do a rip tide from the top rope.

  Speaker 9: I thought that was pretty impressive. EO doing a moon
• 19:40
  Speaker 9: salt outside of the ring. That was pretty cool. I

  Speaker 9: mean typical heel fashion. How I saw this triple thread

  Speaker 9: kind of ending with you know, a roll up, somebody
• 19:50
  Speaker 9: doing all the work and then the heel, the heel
• 19:53
  Speaker 9: champion coming in and doing the roll up. I mean
• 19:57
  Speaker 9: I would have done the same thing, right, I mean,

  Speaker 9: why not so Doyle?

  Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean I think we all think that this

  Speaker 7: match was wonderful. It was really good.

  Speaker 12: I think Naomi definitely proved that she can hang with well,

  Speaker 12: he know, I think it be hard pressed to find

  Speaker 12: to say anybody's a better women's wrestler right now in
• 20:24
  Speaker 12: the company than EO and Rhea is in the top
• 20:27
  Speaker 12: three or four. Naomi proobs she's right there with him.

  Speaker 7: So yeah, that was that was good. The entrance was great.

  Speaker 12: I thought, you know, you said triple threat match, and

  Speaker 12: there are you know, all these no DQ matches. I'm

  Speaker 12: glad they didn't go crazy with weapons in this one

  Speaker 12: because we just have so much of it the rest

  Speaker 12: of the night. Yeah, I mean they really did a

  Speaker 12: lot of great storytelling. It didn't oversay. It's welcome like
• 20:51
  Speaker 12: another women's match. We will talk about a little later,

  Speaker 12: definitely did. I think it was like around fifteen minutes, right,
• 20:59
  Speaker 12: And I could have certainly taking another fifteen more of
• 21:01
  Speaker 12: these three going at it, but that was just about
• 21:04
  Speaker 12: the perfect amount of time, not too short, not too long,
• 21:08
  Speaker 12: you know, too much of a good thing. Definitely saying
• 21:12
  Speaker 12: you know, let's less sometimes is more. So Yeah, definitely

  Speaker 12: it kept the kept the rear kind of thing hot.
