- 0:02Speaker 1: Wedding season is here. You and I, Angie, we both
- 0:06Speaker 1: have weddings we get to participate in this year, and
- 0:09Speaker 1: it was kind of make me feeling nostalgic. If I
- 0:12Speaker 1: could redo my wedding day again, I totally would. It
- 0:14Speaker 1: was so fun. Ten out of ten overall score best
- 0:18Speaker 1: day of my life. All that corny stuff they tell you,
- 0:20Speaker 1: but it really was an absolute blast.
- 0:22Speaker 2: It was a ton of fun. Do you remember what
- 0:25Speaker 2: your wedding song was?
- 0:26Speaker 3: Oh?
- 0:26Speaker 4: I remember my wedding song?
- 0:28Speaker 1: You really?
- 0:28Speaker 3: Yes?
- 0:29Speaker 1: Here was mine. It was very cookie cutter. It's not
- 0:32Speaker 1: anything way out of left field that people wouldn't know
- 0:36Speaker 1: what song is this? Chris Stapleton Tennessee whiskey.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Oh okay, this is like a vibe.
- 0:42Speaker 3: So what did you guys just swear? Did you take
- 0:44Speaker 3: like dance lessons? Did you sway in one spot? What was?
- 0:48Speaker 2: My mother taught me how to slow dance when I
- 0:50Speaker 2: was about seven.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, that's really sweet. Yeah, to go to
- 0:55Speaker 1: my cousin's wedding. I was like, I want to learn
- 0:57Speaker 1: how to like, how do I dance? And she taught
- 0:59Speaker 1: me how to do some lead and all that stuff.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Since seven years old, so Obviously it wasn't great as
- 1:04Speaker 1: we're dancing, but like, I know, we know.
- 1:07Speaker 4: How this is really sweet. And you had like a
- 1:09Speaker 4: bridal party groomsman the whole night.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Yeah, there was like ten eleven people in the in
- 1:15Speaker 1: the bridal party groomsze oh wow, groomsmen or whatever. Yeah,
- 1:19Speaker 1: there was a lot. We kind of just didn't know
- 1:21Speaker 1: where to cut it off. So I kept growing and growing.
- 1:25Speaker 1: But it was great.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Corey's got a big, giant family.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I'm lucky that I have a lot of friends, so
- 1:30Speaker 1: it's pretty decent size.
- 1:31Speaker 2: And it was just a ton of fun. And we're
- 1:33Speaker 2: just gliding back and forth.
- 1:34Speaker 4: We're so opposite games.
- 1:38Speaker 3: I wouldn't do my wedding over again in that of
- 1:42Speaker 3: me and my husband are no longer together, okay, but
- 1:47Speaker 3: we had a very different vibe for our wedding, both
- 1:51Speaker 3: from Vegas, and so I got married in Vegas in
- 1:54Speaker 3: a little Vegas wedding chapel. Elvis did not officiate, but
- 1:59Speaker 3: there was an Elvis statue.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I did not know this about you. I always wanted
- 2:04Speaker 1: to meet someone who got married in Vegas. That was
- 2:06Speaker 1: my big joke all those years.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Oh well, here I am Gabe.
- 2:09Speaker 3: And it was It was just me, my about to
- 2:12Speaker 3: be husband, my mom, and my best friend on my side,
- 2:16Speaker 3: his grandparents and his best friend on his side. And
- 2:19Speaker 3: then of course the baby I had at a wedlock
- 2:22Speaker 3: car one and a half year old son, Aidan. Okay,
- 2:27Speaker 3: and I wore a black dress. In fact, it was
- 2:31Speaker 3: a Sophia vid got a Kmart collection black dress and
- 2:36Speaker 3: six inch lepherd print heels.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Very different vibe.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Very different vibe. And so this was my wedding Songjie.
- 2:50Speaker 1: I meant the song I didn't. I don't mean the
- 2:55Speaker 1: song that you played at like midnight after the wedding
- 2:59Speaker 1: with your new hobby. I meant the one where you're
- 3:01Speaker 1: like sitting in the circle and everyone sits and watches
- 3:03Speaker 1: and YadA YadA, YadA.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Yeah I know.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Oh really yeah, different strokes for different folks. I guess, Angie,
- 3:15Speaker 1: do you have a little victory for us here today?
- 3:18Speaker 1: I'm really excited to share mine with you?
- 3:19Speaker 4: Oh really, Okay, I'll make mine quick.
- 3:21Speaker 1: No, don't make it quick. I'm just saying I'm like
- 3:23Speaker 1: ready to go today.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Oh good.
- 3:25Speaker 3: I'm glad. It's Mother's Day on Sunday. But my older
- 3:30Speaker 3: brother sends me a gift for Mother's Day every even
- 3:33Speaker 3: though I'm not his mom, so that's very nice.
- 3:35Speaker 4: He just celebrates.
- 3:35Speaker 1: It's very sweet that.
- 3:36Speaker 3: He sends me something every year. It's usually a gorgeous
- 3:39Speaker 3: bouquet of flowers. I don't know if he was like
- 3:42Speaker 3: in my brain or something, but he texted me and
- 3:45Speaker 3: he said, your Mother's Day gift is arriving today before
- 3:49Speaker 3: two pm. Be on the lookout. And so I was
- 3:54Speaker 3: on the lookout. He sent me this really fancy box
- 3:59Speaker 3: of chalk glitch.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Oh wow.
- 4:01Speaker 3: And the timing couldn't be better because it's that time
- 4:04Speaker 3: of the month.
- 4:04Speaker 4: So I was very excited and I sat down.
- 4:08Speaker 3: The kids are still at school, and I had twelve
- 4:11Speaker 3: of the twenty four chocolates.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Sorry not sorry.
- 4:14Speaker 4: I feel so happy about it.
- 4:16Speaker 1: House half the box before Mother's Day, which is exactly
- 4:20Speaker 1: what it's there for.
- 4:21Speaker 2: It's right, man, I deserve it. Mother's Day must have
- 4:23Speaker 2: been on the brain.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Yesterday my older brother and younger sister and I got
- 4:27Speaker 1: some flowers from my mother yesterday. Nice.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Yeah, last minute is the way to go.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it beats Sunday. Yeah right, So my
- 4:37Speaker 1: little victory here. And this is kind of corny, but
- 4:39Speaker 1: I'm pretty excited about it. So you know, I've recently
- 4:43Speaker 1: bought a bike, yes, right, and I really want to
- 4:45Speaker 1: get into that bike community. And I don't say that
- 4:48Speaker 1: as a joke. And so yesterday I was talking to Cory.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I biked a lot yesterday. It was nice and I've
- 4:54Speaker 1: just really kind of gotten into it and it's a
- 4:56Speaker 1: lot of fun and obviously there's the health benefits of it.
- 4:58Speaker 1: So I don't even know. So if this is a
- 5:00Speaker 1: big number a small number, there's someone who bikes somewhere
- 5:03Speaker 1: who goes, oh, that's it, but then other people might go, wow,
- 5:06Speaker 1: that's pretty good. So I just picked an even easy
- 5:08Speaker 1: number to remember. But this summer, my goal is to
- 5:12Speaker 1: try to bike one hundred miles. Oh I want yeah,
- 5:15Speaker 1: before uh September first, I keep I'm keeping track of
- 5:20Speaker 1: them in my phone, and you know, I might blow
- 5:23Speaker 1: past that. If I find out that that's too easy,
- 5:25Speaker 1: then I'm gonna make make it farther away. But I
- 5:28Speaker 1: might find out that that's incredibly hard, and I don't
- 5:30Speaker 1: have time. I don't know. I'm brand new to the
- 5:32Speaker 1: bike community. Where are you at so far? Well, so
- 5:35Speaker 1: I got, uh, when did I get the bikes on Wednesday,
- 5:38Speaker 1: So a couple of days ago, I have it in
- 5:41Speaker 1: my phone. I think I've done seven.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Okay, oh, you're gonna blow past that one hundred.
- 5:46Speaker 4: But this is exciting.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Well because the first like two days, you know, I
- 5:49Speaker 1: was just I was kind of riding around a just
- 5:51Speaker 1: for fun, be just to get a little cardio in
- 5:53Speaker 1: and get in shape or what have you, and get
- 5:55Speaker 1: the seat how I wanted it, get it too exactly right.
- 5:58Speaker 1: And then so yesterday I bike five miles or something.
- 6:01Speaker 1: It was really cool. And then I was sitting there going,
- 6:03Speaker 1: you know, I think I could do like ten of
- 6:05Speaker 1: these a day, which isn't gonna happen. I know, I
- 6:07Speaker 1: realistically with time that won't work. But I want to
- 6:10Speaker 1: try to do one hundred miles and if I blow
- 6:12Speaker 1: way past that will change the goal. But for now,
- 6:14Speaker 1: I think that seems fair.
- 6:15Speaker 4: I feel giddy about this.
- 6:17Speaker 2: For you.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Yes, I have the note, but I.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Also get a bike and then challenge you, right, you'll
- 6:22Speaker 3: do one hundred and one.
- 6:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:27Speaker 1: And I discovered something that I would have never even
- 6:30Speaker 1: thought about because I am not the parent to some
- 6:33Speaker 1: little children's Oh what I did not realize how stressful
- 6:37Speaker 1: the month of May is for parents. Supposedly, this is
- 6:41Speaker 1: one of the most stressful times of the year if
- 6:44Speaker 1: you are a mom or a dad, because you're trying
- 6:47Speaker 1: to figure out, Okay, we have summer right around the corner,
- 6:50Speaker 1: which is already stressful and doing at all the running
- 6:52Speaker 1: around and whatever, but now May is when you figure
- 6:56Speaker 1: out what you're gonna do for you.
- 6:58Speaker 4: Yeah, they call it May somber.
- 7:00Speaker 3: And I've been seeing like a lot of moms in
- 7:03Speaker 3: the FM area posting.
- 7:05Speaker 4: All their May Somber woes because it's just so busy,
- 7:08Speaker 4: just like.
- 7:08Speaker 3: In December when it's like, oh, we got to wrap
- 7:11Speaker 3: all the Oh yeah, May is you're wrapping up school
- 7:16Speaker 3: and so it's like a bunch of final projects and
- 7:18Speaker 3: like final recitals and presentations and all this stuff, and
- 7:22Speaker 3: then you're trying to find out, Okay, now what am
- 7:24Speaker 3: I gonna do to keep my kids busy and entertained
- 7:28Speaker 3: all summer. I'm gonna be honest with you, Gabe, this
- 7:30Speaker 3: is my first summer here in Fargo, and I'm already behind.
- 7:35Speaker 3: We have like the school sent home like a booklet
- 7:37Speaker 3: of like things that you can sign up for and whatever,
- 7:39Speaker 3: but I feel like those things fill up so fast,
- 7:42Speaker 3: and I'm trying to figure.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Out what my kid would even be into.
- 7:45Speaker 3: I am part of this stressed out crowd in May.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Yeah, and you to know, a fault of your own.
- 7:52Speaker 1: But you're kind of just like behind because you got
- 7:55Speaker 1: here in what March?
- 7:56Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 7:56Speaker 3: I got here in March. I mean, I'm just trying
- 7:58Speaker 3: to like settle in, and I feel more settled in.
- 8:01Speaker 3: But now it's like, okay, and now this new season
- 8:03Speaker 3: of things, and what do you do?
- 8:05Speaker 1: Another thing that just reminds you how not settling?
- 8:08Speaker 2: Right?
- 8:08Speaker 3: You are? Right?
- 8:09Speaker 4: All right?
- 8:10Speaker 1: Well, Angie could use some help here. Do you have
- 8:12Speaker 1: any summer plans with your kids, whether it's ideas or
- 8:15Speaker 1: maybe just things very unique to the FM area that
- 8:18Speaker 1: maybe her kids would be into. Let us know. You
- 8:20Speaker 1: can text us or call us at seven oh one
- 8:23Speaker 1: two eight zero one nine eight seven. We do have
- 8:26Speaker 1: mikaylaw on the phone. Mckaylaw. Any plans this summer with kiddos.
- 8:30Speaker 5: We got adventure Monday's lined up aka me desperately googling
- 8:34Speaker 5: free stuff nearby. It'll be cereal for dinner night, The doom,
- 8:38Speaker 5: the tent at gardening that somehow becomes a mud war,
- 8:41Speaker 5: and one chaotic camping trip where I forget the tent
- 8:45Speaker 5: poles but swear it's part of the memory making.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, it's a memory I do.
- 8:50Speaker 3: My kids always make fun of me because anything that
- 8:54Speaker 3: we're doing and it starts to get like a little stressful.
- 8:57Speaker 3: I'm like, it's an adventure, guys, It's an adventure family bonding.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Also, I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day coming
- 9:08Speaker 1: up on Sunday, Angie, thank you, Gig. I hope you
- 9:10Speaker 1: have a fabulous day filled with sleep sleeps wy.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Yeah, that's exactly right.
- 9:17Speaker 4: I love Mother's Day.
- 9:18Speaker 3: I get really yes because I get really emotional seeing
- 9:23Speaker 3: all the posts on social media right now where it's
- 9:25Speaker 3: like post your your picture of the babies who made
- 9:29Speaker 3: you a mama, and like share your birth story, and
- 9:32Speaker 3: I just I live to see all those because there's
- 9:35Speaker 3: just so many different ways to become a mom to
- 9:38Speaker 3: be a mom, and every story is unique, every story
- 9:41Speaker 3: is different, but they're always like they pull at the
- 9:44Speaker 3: heart strings. And I'm a mom of two boys. The
- 9:49Speaker 3: first one I got pregnant when I was like twenty two. Sure,
- 9:53Speaker 3: like that was the plan, Like I was like, I'm
- 9:55Speaker 3: ready to have a baby. And then turns out I
- 9:57Speaker 3: was not ready to have a baby, but I had
- 9:59Speaker 3: them anyway.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a plan deal. It wasn't like whoops.
- 10:03Speaker 3: No, No, both my kids very intentional and so. But
- 10:07Speaker 3: the first one I was younger. I it just it
- 10:09Speaker 3: was easier.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Energy. I had energy.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Yeah, the second one, that pregnancy was a rough. Although
- 10:19Speaker 3: I did look really pretty during my pregnancy. I will
- 10:22Speaker 3: say I was feeling myself okay, but by the ninth month,
- 10:26Speaker 3: I was, you know, like most mamas, it's like, okay,
- 10:28Speaker 3: get this baby out of me. I caught a stomach
- 10:32Speaker 3: bug at a family gathering and so I was set
- 10:36Speaker 3: to be induced to you know, give birth on a Thursday.
- 10:41Speaker 3: It was a Tuesday, and I was, I mean throwing
- 10:44Speaker 3: up so hard and I was, I'm like a house.
- 10:48Speaker 4: I'm the size of a house.
- 10:50Speaker 3: It's so hard to lean over this toilet to throw
- 10:53Speaker 3: up because the baby's there in the way, and I could.
- 10:57Speaker 3: I was so dehydrated and I was dry heaving.
- 11:01Speaker 4: It was a lot. Yeah, And I was going.
- 11:04Speaker 3: So hard on this vomiting situation that I broke my water.
- 11:09Speaker 4: Really yeah, brought that was a myth.
- 11:12Speaker 3: No, Yes, I was the force of me trying like
- 11:16Speaker 3: and then it was like oh and I felt yep.
- 11:19Speaker 4: And just and I was like, well, I guess I'm
- 11:22Speaker 4: having a baby early. So I had to go to
- 11:25Speaker 4: the hospital.
- 11:26Speaker 3: They put an IV in me to hydrate me, and
- 11:29Speaker 3: I was like, I just want you to know that
- 11:30Speaker 3: while I was peaking my brains out, I'm pretty sure
- 11:33Speaker 3: I broke my water, so you might have to check that.
- 11:35Speaker 4: And she checked and she was like, well, you are
- 11:37Speaker 4: absolutely right.
- 11:38Speaker 3: You are having this baby to day.
- 11:40Speaker 2: That such a unique story. I've never heard anything like that.
- 11:43Speaker 1: You hear about potentially people, you know, riding over speed
- 11:47Speaker 1: bumps or eating spicy food or whatever other way to
- 11:51Speaker 1: induce a pregnancy. I've never heard of someone catching a
- 11:54Speaker 1: stomach bug rowing up so hard.
- 11:58Speaker 4: If you're like, get this baby out, catch us stomach bug.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Do you have a birth story that you would like
- 12:04Speaker 1: to share with us here on Big ninety eight point
- 12:07Speaker 1: seven at seven oh one two eight zero one nine
- 12:10Speaker 1: eight seven, Give us a call or shoot us a text. Wow,
- 12:13Speaker 1: you are one of one in my book for that.
- 12:15Speaker 1: I've never heard a story like that. Thank you, thank.
- 12:17Speaker 5: You, what Fox say?
- 12:24Speaker 1: Yesterday, Angie and I talked about these three baby foxes
- 12:30Speaker 1: we've seen. I think that they're called kids.
- 12:32Speaker 2: I did not know that in the animal community.
- 12:35Speaker 1: I didn't need it. I just call them baby foxes.
- 12:37Speaker 1: But yeah, uh. We posted a picture of it on
- 12:39Speaker 1: the Big ninety eight point seven Facebook page and it
- 12:42Speaker 1: kind of blew up. There's a lot of people who
- 12:43Speaker 1: really liked it and thought it was pretty cute, which
- 12:45Speaker 1: I thought was awesome.
- 12:46Speaker 3: So cute baby animals are so cute. My little one
- 12:50Speaker 3: Liam said to me, Mommy, why is it so cute
- 12:53Speaker 3: when animals are babies. I was like, I don't know,
- 12:56Speaker 3: but it's I mean, human babies are really cute too.
- 12:59Speaker 4: Just a little All animals are just all adorable.
- 13:02Speaker 1: There's yeah, there's something like just super innocent about it.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I guess.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:05Speaker 1: That photo had led to I got a message on
- 13:08Speaker 1: Facebook from a photographer. Her name is Annie, and she
- 13:12Speaker 1: was wondering if she could take a picture of these foxes.
- 13:15Speaker 1: And I had to kind of explain, like, oh, they're
- 13:17Speaker 1: not in my yard, you know. They we found them
- 13:19Speaker 1: in a north part of Fargo, as compared to where
- 13:21Speaker 1: I live in the southern.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Part of Fargo. Yeah, but here's where I found them.
- 13:25Speaker 1: This is the time maybe if you go there, you
- 13:27Speaker 1: get lucky to be able to see him, get a
- 13:29Speaker 1: couple of pictures or whatever. And she said, if she
- 13:31Speaker 1: was able to get, you know, some photo, she sent
- 13:34Speaker 1: me one. Ooh is really cool. So a big shout
- 13:36Speaker 1: out to Annie here today. And so that got me wondering,
- 13:39Speaker 1: have you ever found a cute baby animal like in
- 13:43Speaker 1: your yard or on your property or around your house
- 13:46Speaker 1: or something. Let us know it's seven oh one two
- 13:48Speaker 1: eight zero one nine eight seven Angie, you're from Vegas.
- 13:52Speaker 1: What type of animal would you see in your yard
- 13:54Speaker 1: in Vegas?
- 13:55Speaker 4: Little cottontail bunnies? Oh sure, Yeah.
- 13:59Speaker 3: I lived in this neighborhood that was literally called cotton
- 14:02Speaker 3: Tail Trail and there was just.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Always I'm not letting you buzz through that. What was
- 14:08Speaker 1: the name of.
- 14:08Speaker 3: This cottontail trail? Because I guess there were a bunch
- 14:12Speaker 3: of cottontail bunnies. Then they're so cute, Yeah, just running around.
- 14:16Speaker 2: We do have, MICHAELA, what baby animal have you, phund
- 14:20Speaker 2: We have a.
- 14:20Speaker 5: Bunch of groundhogs under our shed and they pop out
- 14:23Speaker 5: some babies every year.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Extremely wholesome when they show them off all around.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Yeah, that is really cute groundhogs I think I grew
- 14:30Speaker 1: up calling them woodchucks.
- 14:32Speaker 4: Are they in the same family.
- 14:34Speaker 1: I think it's the same thing, is it. Yeah, it's
- 14:37Speaker 1: just a different name, right.
- 14:38Speaker 3: I thought woodchucks woodchuck would and groundhogs tell you if
- 14:42Speaker 3: there's more winter.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Mark found a baby animal in her yard.
- 14:48Speaker 5: Man. Yeah, yeah, I once found a box them walking
- 14:51Speaker 5: with their babies on her back.
- 14:52Speaker 1: It was really cool to see she had like like
- 14:54Speaker 1: ten of them on there. That actually is cute. Originally
- 14:57Speaker 1: that's gross. Possums are nasty, but.
- 14:59Speaker 4: Once the babies are there, I'm dulable.
- 15:02Speaker 1: And possums are very very good for They're like they
- 15:05Speaker 1: help humans. They eat so many bugs that can be
- 15:07Speaker 1: dangerous to us. I see this thing on Facebook every
- 15:10Speaker 1: year when the weather gets warm, like, hey, don't hurt
- 15:14Speaker 1: the possums. They eat all these things and they're really
- 15:17Speaker 1: good for humanity.
- 15:18Speaker 4: Oh a possum PSA.
- 15:20Speaker 1: That's exactly what it is. Well, Angie Game's good news
- 15:29Speaker 1: of the day today is simply just a happy mother's day.
- 15:33Speaker 1: If you are a mom, this weekend, the weekend should
- 15:36Speaker 1: be all about you, and maybe your home life is
- 15:39Speaker 1: just all about you, and that's the situation you're in.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I hope you just know how much your kid als
- 15:44Speaker 1: love you and appreciate you, and you are the light
- 15:47Speaker 1: of their life and the reason they get up and
- 15:50Speaker 1: go to school every day, even if they want to
- 15:52Speaker 1: fight you about it. And if that is a situation
