Rookie Shines with Historic Debut | Tampa Bay Buccaneers News
Josiah Trotter exploded onto the NFL scene with a historic debut: a pick-six, a sack, and 10 tackles—including two for loss—making him the first player ever to achieve that trifecta in his first game. He joins an elite club, matching only T.J. Watt’s stat line over the last decade, and becomes the Bucs’ first rookie to score a pick-six on opening day. Known for his old-school physicality and sharp instincts honed by family, Trotter thrives in Tampa Bay’s scheme, where his versatility and hard-hitting style are being maximized.
