- 0:05Speaker 2: Say, Hester and Hester got it from.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Carrying each other to and Natty to carrying each other
- 0:12Speaker 1: on the air.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Well, let's drop control.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Live from downtown Baton Rouge. It's off the bench.
- 0:26Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in now re number three of
- 0:44Speaker 3: OTV here on this Tuesday morning. And look we have
- 0:47Speaker 3: done I feel like a pretty good job of not
- 0:50Speaker 3: making it feel like a Tuesday, which is the worst
- 0:53Speaker 3: day of the week. I think we can all agree
- 0:55Speaker 3: to that. So the vibes have been high, really, but
- 0:59Speaker 3: now we got to talk New Orleans Saints.
- 1:00Speaker 4: We're gonna keep in mind Nick.
- 1:02Speaker 5: Underhill, New Orleans, not football.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Our guy joins us now to do so, Nicholas, what's
- 1:07Speaker 3: going on, sir? How are we doing two things? Like one?
- 1:10Speaker 2: I don't believe that the vibes are gonna be high
- 1:12Speaker 2: throughout this conversation.
- 1:14Speaker 4: Come on, like.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Tuesday's a good day. It's Taco Tuesday. Like I don't
- 1:19Speaker 2: like the pr happening here, Like that's a good day
- 1:21Speaker 2: of the week.
- 1:22Speaker 5: I know it's like Monday, though.
- 1:23Speaker 3: You got like reaction to games good or bad, like Wednesday.
- 1:27Speaker 3: I don't know, it's like he kind of got hum day.
- 1:29Speaker 3: It's like you're kind of in the middle of the week.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Thursday vibes are incredible. And of course Fridays or Fridays,
- 1:33Speaker 3: I don't know, Tuesdays is kind of like, all right,
- 1:36Speaker 3: I do our review last week, do our preview this week.
- 1:39Speaker 3: You get stuck in purgatory a little bit. I don't know,
- 1:41Speaker 3: Maybe maybe you can change our minds. Taco Tuesday is
- 1:44Speaker 3: a good way to start.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it's Taco Tuesday in AMC. Like they got cheaper
- 1:49Speaker 2: movies on Tuesdays. Like it's a good day man.
- 1:51Speaker 6: Objectively, Nick, I gotta ask you a question, and we
- 1:53Speaker 6: like to ask a lot of our guests this question
- 1:56Speaker 6: when speaking about tacos. When you think of a taco,
- 2:01Speaker 6: just a generic taco, is it hard shell or is
- 2:03Speaker 6: it a soft shell?
- 2:04Speaker 4: Is it just a tortilla?
- 2:06Speaker 2: Yeah, it's for sure soft shell taco, no doubt about it.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Like like a hard shell is like it's like that's
- 2:11Speaker 2: like third grade child is grow up right? Like refined palate? Yeah,
- 2:16Speaker 2: I mean like you're just not you're just not living, right, That's.
- 2:19Speaker 4: What I'm talking about.
- 2:20Speaker 3: These animals, the soft in the room, like soft tacos.
- 2:24Speaker 5: That's no, no, that's no surprise.
- 2:26Speaker 4: That guy's so defensive. Naked's ridiculous.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I mean, like, I mean, it's okay that you eat
- 2:31Speaker 2: like a like a like a third grader man, Like
- 2:33Speaker 2: nobody's judging you for it, but like it's just it's
- 2:35Speaker 2: a very unrefined, undignified.
- 2:38Speaker 5: Hey, you watch it.
- 2:39Speaker 3: You watch a third grade football team play every single week,
- 2:42Speaker 3: So we're right on the same page.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Mack.
- 2:46Speaker 6: I just I love you man. That was great, great
- 2:49Speaker 6: spot because I just told him recently to grow up.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no doubt about it. Like that's that's like
- 2:54Speaker 2: what my nephew eats. And I'll be like, oh, taco's
- 2:56Speaker 2: like he's got to eat like a crunchy taco. Like,
- 2:58Speaker 2: no doubt that's what it is.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Brunchy tacos are delicious. Go ahead, follow up a question there, Matt.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Her I asked my follow up question. It was great.
- 3:08Speaker 4: I got the perfect answer. That's all I need.
- 3:10Speaker 3: We have to we have to soft tacos. I've heard
- 3:19Speaker 3: it is so defensive right now, don't you asked that
- 3:22Speaker 3: question to everybody?
- 3:24Speaker 5: Like it's like I haven't gotten a vote yet. It's
- 3:28Speaker 5: tend to nothing. So I don't know why you continue.
- 3:31Speaker 3: To add.
- 3:33Speaker 2: All right, soft tacos, soft coverages.
- 3:37Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 3:38Speaker 3: All right, So the first two weeks, there's stuff that
- 3:41Speaker 3: you can take from the game, and I think you
- 3:43Speaker 3: can appreciate the effort and you can appreciate things in
- 3:45Speaker 3: the game and it's like, okay, well I can actually
- 3:47Speaker 3: point to like three or four plays that if those
- 3:50Speaker 3: plays are made, maybe even less maybe two plays in
- 3:52Speaker 3: the game, you have a chance to win. Maybe you
- 3:54Speaker 3: do win. Uh, the wheels fell off this week in Seattle.
- 3:59Speaker 3: What happened?
- 4:00Speaker 5: And then? Why did it look so different?
- 4:02Speaker 2: I mean, it was just it just took like a
- 4:04Speaker 2: very unprepared football team. Honestly, I think there's no way
- 4:07Speaker 2: around it. And I think just kind of the the
- 4:11Speaker 2: inexperience and the newness of the staff I think showed
- 4:14Speaker 2: up in their first road trip to a hard atmosphere.
- 4:16Speaker 2: I mean, some of the players were talking about how
- 4:18Speaker 2: they weren't like ready to time to snap count. So
- 4:20Speaker 2: it seems like maybe there wasn't enough preparation there. The
- 4:23Speaker 2: pre snap stuff was back in a big way. You know,
- 4:27Speaker 2: it looked like special teams was fully unprepared. I mean,
- 4:32Speaker 2: that was that was, you know, And I'm not trying
- 4:34Speaker 2: to be like hyperbolic or anything like that. And it's
- 4:36Speaker 2: not like I don't think it's the end of the world.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I think they can learn from it and grow from
- 4:39Speaker 2: it and come back. And I think, you know, the
- 4:41Speaker 2: perspective of it being a new staff and all that stuff.
- 4:45Speaker 2: I'm not defining anything that that happens right now. You know,
- 4:48Speaker 2: I don't think it's going to be what happened in
- 4:50Speaker 2: Week three is going to be what it is at
- 4:52Speaker 2: the end of the season. But I mean, I honestly
- 4:55Speaker 2: believe that was maybe the worst start to a game
- 4:59Speaker 2: I've seen in my TI years covering the Saints. The
- 5:02Speaker 2: Lions game, I think that was last year, right, I
- 5:05Speaker 2: think that's on the list, or was that two years ago?
- 5:08Speaker 2: But those are the two games. But this this was bad.
- 5:10Speaker 2: And then at least in that Lions game, like they
- 5:12Speaker 2: fought back, this one was just an ass kicking from
- 5:15Speaker 2: start to finish. And I mean, I think there's a
- 5:18Speaker 2: lot they got to figure out and a lot they
- 5:20Speaker 2: got to learn from this, you know. I think it's
- 5:23Speaker 2: kind of a little bit of a wake up call.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Like we talked a bunch of times about how they
- 5:26Speaker 2: were taking a lot of days off during camp in
- 5:27Speaker 2: ninety minute practices and there weren't a lot of long
- 5:31Speaker 2: special teams periods like there used to be, and it's like, oh, well,
- 5:33Speaker 2: that's that's why Sean Payton did special teams for twenty
- 5:36Speaker 2: five minutes every day. And I'm sure like the players
- 5:38Speaker 2: love it, you know, on August thirteenth, when they're not
- 5:42Speaker 2: standing out there in one hundred and twenty five degree
- 5:44Speaker 2: heat for twenty five minutes watching you know, JT. Gray
- 5:48Speaker 2: cover punts and they're just standing there sweat and wasting time.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Like I'm sure it's it's an amazing atmosphere. But then
- 5:54Speaker 2: when you get into September and you lock Hunt Hunt
- 5:57Speaker 2: return for touchdown in a like a literal six minute,
- 6:02Speaker 2: like real life six minute period of time, you know,
- 6:05Speaker 2: I think I think it feels a little bit different.
- 6:06Speaker 2: So I think it was just a game that you know,
- 6:09Speaker 2: I think this is this is one where you if
- 6:11Speaker 2: you treat it like the smell insalts came out and
- 6:13Speaker 2: you kind of you know, got to reevaluate and you're
- 6:16Speaker 2: honest about it, I think it can be probably a
- 6:19Speaker 2: good thing in the early tenure of a coach, you know,
- 6:21Speaker 2: it can be you know and twenty years if he
- 6:24Speaker 2: has a successful career. You know, this might be the
- 6:26Speaker 2: thing they put in his episode of a of a
- 6:28Speaker 2: Football Life of you know, the turning point or something.
- 6:31Speaker 2: But like you got to treat it like that, you
- 6:33Speaker 2: got to let it become that. And uh, I think
- 6:35Speaker 2: that there's a lot they got to fix in a hurry.
- 6:38Speaker 2: And uh I think that you know, it's different than
- 6:41Speaker 2: last year, Like there's like mutiny feeling after like losses.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Like I think you feel the disappointment around the team
- 6:49Speaker 2: though right now where you know, up until that game,
- 6:52Speaker 2: it was kind of just you know, happy and all
- 6:55Speaker 2: that stuff. I think now people are looking around a
- 6:57Speaker 2: little bit like whoa, what the hell? Like we weren't
- 6:59Speaker 2: we weren't ready for this one. And I think they
- 7:02Speaker 2: just got to change it in our.
- 7:04Speaker 6: Optically, like what so Saints fans watching every single week
- 7:08Speaker 6: and following following the team. I think everybody is smart
- 7:12Speaker 6: enough to understand the roster restrictions that we have. We
- 7:15Speaker 6: understand that there is a new coach, and I think
- 7:17Speaker 6: that everybody can be okay with the Saints not being
- 7:20Speaker 6: as good as every opponent every single week, not being
- 7:24Speaker 6: as good playing, you know, being being bad every now
- 7:27Speaker 6: and then. But I don't think what people can live
- 7:30Speaker 6: with is being undisciplined and being bad.
- 7:33Speaker 4: And so that is what we saw.
- 7:34Speaker 6: We're talking about eleven penalties, We're talking about special teams,
- 7:36Speaker 6: like just terrible mistakes. So they how do how do
- 7:41Speaker 6: they fix that? Is that a Kellen Moore issue? Is
- 7:44Speaker 6: it a culture issue? Is it a leadership issue?
- 7:48Speaker 2: Yeah? I mean that's the exact story I wrote after
- 7:50Speaker 2: the game. So I mean we're just you know, to
- 7:52Speaker 2: two geniuses here talking about this. But I mean that's
- 7:55Speaker 2: the thing, like if you're getting smoked throwing down the
- 7:57Speaker 2: field because your cornerbacks aren't good enough, I get that,
- 7:59Speaker 2: Like I under stint if you can't block because you
- 8:02Speaker 2: have awesome Richards and porst Celly Simpkins out there, I'm
- 8:05Speaker 2: not sweating that. I'm not killing them for for you know,
- 8:08Speaker 2: giving up pressures like awesome Richards gave up I think
- 8:11Speaker 2: eight pressures in that game. Like that's that's what you expect.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Like that that isn't that isn't you know, that isn't coaching.
- 8:17Speaker 2: That's just like, hey, they aren't good enough and that
- 8:19Speaker 2: that's what happens in a rebuild, Like you you tear
- 8:21Speaker 2: it down to the studs and now all of a
- 8:22Speaker 2: sudden you're finding like the black mold that was behind
- 8:25Speaker 2: the uh, the drywall. Like that's just what it is.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Like people expect it. Everybody understands that. But yeah, it's
- 8:30Speaker 2: it's this stuff that is preventable where you know, And
- 8:34Speaker 2: and I think it's just spending more time on it, honestly,
- 8:36Speaker 2: Like I know they they've they've done a lot, They've
- 8:39Speaker 2: had officials around in that, but like this is two
- 8:41Speaker 2: out of three games, and then week one when it happened,
- 8:43Speaker 2: it was kind of like, all right, well, hey, look,
- 8:45Speaker 2: new coach will learn from it. And it felt like
- 8:47Speaker 2: he did a little bit in week two and then
- 8:48Speaker 2: you right back to it in week three. So I
- 8:51Speaker 2: think it's something with their their process, you know. Like
- 8:55Speaker 2: the thing with these practices is I used to see
- 8:59Speaker 2: in it and it was it was so like frustrating
- 9:01Speaker 2: to watch sometimes, like how often Sean Payton would stop
- 9:04Speaker 2: a play and like he would just stop at deadness tracks,
- 9:07Speaker 2: Hey you're splits off, And like sometimes you would see
- 9:09Speaker 2: people like these new receivers coming and that they wouldn't
- 9:11Speaker 2: even understand like where they were supposed to line up.
- 9:14Speaker 2: But I talked to tray Quan Smith about it at
- 9:16Speaker 2: one time in his rookie year. It's probably why he
- 9:17Speaker 2: didn't work out here. He's like, man, like I'll just
- 9:20Speaker 2: like pick up my foot and move it until Sean
- 9:21Speaker 2: tells me it's okay. Like I don't even know what
- 9:23Speaker 2: he wants me to do, but like it's like the
- 9:25Speaker 2: attention to detail was like so precise, and I think
- 9:29Speaker 2: when you're you're holding that standard every single day, every
- 9:31Speaker 2: single moment on the smallest of details, like it just
- 9:34Speaker 2: becomes a thing. And I think they've gotten away from
- 9:37Speaker 2: that the last few years. I mean, like under Pete Carmichael,
- 9:40Speaker 2: you know, the players openly talked about how they had
- 9:43Speaker 2: to like go back and like start like you know,
- 9:47Speaker 2: applying that stuff themselves because it wasn't getting applied from
- 9:49Speaker 2: the top. I think Kellen's trying to, like he has
- 9:52Speaker 2: the officials in there and that, but like I just
- 9:55Speaker 2: think that maybe there's an assumption that, like, you know,
- 9:57Speaker 2: I think he's the guy that wants to it's the
- 10:00Speaker 2: classic like hey, like players coach, He's letting people stay out.
- 10:02Speaker 2: He's treating them like men, He's trusting them to do it.
- 10:05Speaker 2: And sometimes I think that works with certain teams. And
- 10:08Speaker 2: I think when you have a team with like a
- 10:09Speaker 2: lot of young guys that are learning how to play
- 10:11Speaker 2: like I think that maybe you got to be a
- 10:14Speaker 2: little bit more of an enforcer on some of those
- 10:16Speaker 2: details and not expect them all to carry themselves like
- 10:19Speaker 2: Tomrio Davis and not expect them all to be doing
- 10:22Speaker 2: the right things all the time, like like Cam Jordan
- 10:25Speaker 2: probably is, like these are younger guys. I think you
- 10:27Speaker 2: kind of got to put a little bit of a
- 10:29Speaker 2: foot on the net right now. You know, it's sixty
- 10:31Speaker 2: six percent of the games. It's early in the season obviously,
- 10:34Speaker 2: but two out of three where you can't get lined up.
- 10:36Speaker 2: I mean, I think that's that's a big problem. And
- 10:38Speaker 2: something about the process I think they got to figure out.
- 10:41Speaker 2: And again, young staff, I think they can figure it out.
- 10:44Speaker 2: I think they will, but I think you got to
- 10:46Speaker 2: be really honest about it and and admit that something's
- 10:48Speaker 2: a little bit broken right now.
- 10:50Speaker 4: Nick is, is there a vocal leader on the offense.
- 10:54Speaker 2: On the offense, I would say it's probably Eric McCoy
- 10:58Speaker 2: is probably the guy that has the most cache in
- 11:01Speaker 2: that room. I don't, you know, I know Alvin will
- 11:04Speaker 2: speak up sometimes, but I just don't think that that's
- 11:06Speaker 2: necessarily his personality to be the like, you know, the
- 11:09Speaker 2: the raw ra let's go get it guy, like I
- 11:11Speaker 2: think he'll he'll coach people quietly off to the side
- 11:14Speaker 2: and like stand up and lead the room. I think
- 11:16Speaker 2: it's probably I think it's probably Eric mcguie. No, Caesar
- 11:19Speaker 2: Ruiz is doing a lot more of that with the
- 11:22Speaker 2: offensive line. Yeah, he's he's kind of like a bet
- 11:25Speaker 2: in that room, and they they the young guys bring
- 11:27Speaker 2: him up all the time. But I think I think
- 11:30Speaker 2: it's those uh. I think it's those two guys, Like
- 11:32Speaker 2: I think they're kind of the bets on the team.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Right now.
- 11:35Speaker 5: I can't I can't say this.
- 11:37Speaker 3: So it doesn't matter how many years you've played in
- 11:39Speaker 3: the league, and Nick, you know that you've been around
- 11:41Speaker 3: the NFL long enough. When you're veteran players that aren't
- 11:45Speaker 3: playing well, speak up. If all's on deaf ears, that's
- 11:47Speaker 3: the problem. That's a big problem because you're like, wait
- 11:50Speaker 3: a minute, hold up, I'm back here and I'm playing
- 11:53Speaker 3: running back and I'm you know whoever, Kendre Miller and
- 11:56Speaker 3: I saw you miss those three blocks when you reguard,
- 11:59Speaker 3: So why am I to listen to you? And you
- 12:00Speaker 3: don't even try to do it? It just organically kind
- 12:03Speaker 3: of happens and comes into your mindset.
- 12:06Speaker 2: I'm sleeping on Brandon Coach too. He's another one that,
- 12:09Speaker 2: like everybody kind of points out to is like being
- 12:11Speaker 2: like an important culture guy and all that, but again
- 12:14Speaker 2: and not a guy that's making a ton of plays
- 12:15Speaker 2: right now.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Somebody on that offense needs to be an asshole? Can
- 12:21Speaker 3: can Spencer? Like I want Spencer to be that, but
- 12:25Speaker 3: he's not right now. And it's like, can he be?
- 12:28Speaker 3: Because I understand where he's at.
- 12:29Speaker 6: He's just got him. But you're like, you have to
- 12:32Speaker 6: earn that right, but nobody is right now. Nobody's earned
- 12:36Speaker 6: that right. Somebody's got to do it.
- 12:39Speaker 2: That's a great point. Yeah, I mean Spencer definitely has
- 12:42Speaker 2: the personality to be that type of guy, but yeah,
- 12:45Speaker 2: I think he probably has to earn a little bit
- 12:46Speaker 2: more cachet in the room. Yeah, I don't. I don't
- 12:50Speaker 2: know where it would come from. It's a lot of
- 12:51Speaker 2: it's a lot of very very nice people.
- 12:55Speaker 6: And sometimes a vocal leader and an offense as a coach.
- 12:57Speaker 6: Sometimes it's a hard nos offensive line coach that's the
- 13:00Speaker 6: vocal leader that's going to push everybody put the fear
- 13:03Speaker 6: of God in people. Like there always has to be somebody.
- 13:06Speaker 6: It might be a head coach, might be a quarterbacks coach,
- 13:08Speaker 6: offensive corner, it could be a player. It's got to
- 13:11Speaker 6: come from somewhere. And again, I think on the offensive
- 13:13Speaker 6: side of the ball, you've got a lot of really
- 13:14Speaker 6: good offensive minds.
- 13:15Speaker 4: But it seems like, just like you said, everyone's really.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Nice, Nut's definitely has that they'll put a little bit
- 13:22Speaker 2: of they'll put a little bit of fear, and you like,
- 13:23Speaker 2: he's one of those guys too. Yeah, he's one of
- 13:25Speaker 2: those guys who even like in it in a press conference,
- 13:28Speaker 2: there's sometimes someone you're like, man, I got to think
- 13:30Speaker 2: about how I asked this, because like you can bite
- 13:32Speaker 2: my head off, like he kind of has that energy.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Nick, how do you go to Buffalo right now you're
- 13:39Speaker 3: a three score doll and create any positive momentum? Like
- 13:44Speaker 3: what's the messaging you just got house on the road
- 13:47Speaker 3: forty four to thirteen, you were up in the Pacific Northwest.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Now you got to go across the country to Buffalo,
- 13:54Speaker 3: New York, a good football team, and Vegas is saying
- 13:57Speaker 3: you're gonna lose by three scores.
- 14:00Speaker 5: How do you create any positive momentum.
- 14:04Speaker 2: It's it's really tough, and you know, I think this
- 14:06Speaker 2: is this is the danger right now, is that you
- 14:08Speaker 2: get you get drilled in Seattle. If you get drilled
- 14:11Speaker 2: up here, like I think, I think quickly, that puts
- 14:14Speaker 2: a test to just kind of where your your team's
- 14:17Speaker 2: at and where your locker room's at. And I think
- 14:19Speaker 2: it's gonna be very important. You know, they to a
- 14:23Speaker 2: to a comical degree. They they put a lot into
- 14:26Speaker 2: like harboring a and cultivating a culture with these like
- 14:32Speaker 2: field trips and all that stuff. But it you know,
- 14:35Speaker 2: that's going to be put to the test. Like maybe
- 14:37Speaker 2: that's why you did it because you maybe foresaw this,
- 14:39Speaker 2: but like that that's really going to be put to
- 14:41Speaker 2: the test. And I don't think it's gonna be enough.
- 14:43Speaker 2: You know, I think you gotta, you gotta, you gotta
- 14:46Speaker 2: look better than this, Like you can go up there
- 14:48Speaker 2: and you can get beat. But I think I think
- 14:50Speaker 2: the players got to know that they were prepared to
- 14:52Speaker 2: get beat and not sent on a dummy mission. And
- 14:54Speaker 2: I really think that's the best you can kind of
- 14:56Speaker 2: hope for this week. Miami played Buffalo tough on Thursday night.
- 15:00Speaker 2: That kind of scares me. That kind of scares me
- 15:02Speaker 2: a little bit though, like because that was probably the
- 15:05Speaker 2: wake up call for Buffalo. I don't think you catch
- 15:08Speaker 2: him sleeping again. And then they get a ten day break,
- 15:11Speaker 2: but they did. I don't know. They got a weird roster, man,
- 15:13Speaker 2: Like you look at it and there's like not a
- 15:15Speaker 2: ton of great playmakers, Like there's Josh Allen and you
- 15:18Speaker 2: know they got a good tight end. The receivers are
- 15:20Speaker 2: just average. James Cook is obviously really good, but it
- 15:23Speaker 2: isn't like a super loaded team. But like they're just
- 15:26Speaker 2: like so much better. They're just so well coached. Man,
- 15:28Speaker 2: they're so well put together, and you know that that
- 15:31Speaker 2: guy is just an absolute So I was looking at
- 15:33Speaker 2: the stats, like outside of the pocket by by three
- 15:37Speaker 2: to four yards, like if you just let him get up,
- 15:39Speaker 2: like he always wants to go to the right, weirdly enough,
- 15:41Speaker 2: he never wants to go left. But like the numbers
- 15:42Speaker 2: on those shows are just like unbelievable. It's like seventeen
- 15:45Speaker 2: yards average depth of target on him, like he's just
- 15:49Speaker 2: gonna go down the field. Like they didn't do a
- 15:51Speaker 2: good job of covering guys late in the place last week.
- 15:53Speaker 2: There was a scrambled drill on one Alante got beat
- 15:57Speaker 2: on it. Like if you're asking these guys to cover
- 16:00Speaker 2: for three and a half four and a half five seconds,
- 16:03Speaker 2: I just don't I don't know. I just don't know
- 16:04Speaker 2: if they have the talent to do it. But that
- 16:06Speaker 2: goes back to what Plum was saying before, like did
- 16:09Speaker 2: you get beat on some of those? I think you
- 16:10Speaker 2: can still hang your head, but like it's like if
- 16:12Speaker 2: you go out there and you're just shooting yourself in
- 16:14Speaker 2: the foot over and over and over, I don't know.
- 16:18Speaker 2: I think that. I think it's I think it's a
- 16:20Speaker 2: mission critical this week just for them to be cleaned
- 16:22Speaker 2: up and playing well. And you know, people talk about
- 16:25Speaker 2: Seattle being a top atmosphere. I'm sure you guys have
- 16:28Speaker 2: been the Buffalo before. Like that to me, that that's
- 16:31Speaker 2: that's the toughest atmosphere in the world. Like you're literally
- 16:33Speaker 2: seeing like townspeople setting themselves on fire in the parking
- 16:36Speaker 2: lot on the way to the stadium like literally on fire,
- 16:39Speaker 2: like this it's the biggest thing in the world, and
- 16:43Speaker 2: like that atmosphere is unbelievable. I mean, this is going
- 16:46Speaker 2: to be a very very tough game.
- 16:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I would definitely put it in top three. Unfortunately,
- 16:53Speaker 3: Kansas City, Seattle, Buffalo probably my top three. And the
- 16:56Speaker 3: Saints are playing back to back in Seattle and Buffalo,
- 16:58Speaker 3: so that's good news.
- 17:00Speaker 6: That the last week was the Saints wake up call one.
- 17:04Speaker 5: All right, hmm, it's going to go along.
- 17:07Speaker 3: And I apologize last question for you, Nick, so much
- 17:10Speaker 3: online of tank for this player, tank for that player,
- 17:13Speaker 3: tank for the quarterback. And my message has been this
- 17:15Speaker 3: team is not a quarterback issue right now.
- 17:18Speaker 5: It is a team issue. And there's some things that.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Spencer Rattler I think is done that have proven that
- 17:23Speaker 3: he can be a starting quarterback in the NFL. Just
- 17:25Speaker 3: from my perspective. It's short sample size, we know that.
- 17:28Speaker 3: But it's not just a tank for player X. This
- 17:31Speaker 3: player is way farther away I think than player X.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Yeah, no doubt about it. There there are multiple players away.
- 17:40Speaker 2: They need they need everything, man like put in Calvin
- 17:44Speaker 2: Banks aside. I am not sure that the Saints have
- 17:47Speaker 2: a player on their roster right now that you could
- 17:49Speaker 2: trade for a first round pick, and I think that's
- 17:51Speaker 2: that's a very very hard thing to do.
- 17:53Speaker 4: True.
- 17:53Speaker 2: I haven't looked at the whole league, but I feel
- 17:56Speaker 2: like there's a lot of guys on other teams that
- 17:58Speaker 2: you're like, oh, yeah, I give up a first round
- 17:59Speaker 2: Like I don't know that they have that guy, and
- 18:02Speaker 2: that's a that's a tough place to be. Yeah, it's
- 18:04Speaker 2: probably not a quarterback, issued you know. I think if
- 18:06Speaker 2: you do end up with the first pick, though, like
- 18:08Speaker 2: you're evaluating, you know, against Matier, Mendoza sellers all these
- 18:13Speaker 2: guys for me, Like, give me Baine right now. That's
- 18:16Speaker 2: that's probably the guy that I would want to draft
- 18:18Speaker 2: for the Saints. But I haven't seen enough of the
- 18:19Speaker 2: quarterbacks to know. But that pass rusher man like that,
- 18:23Speaker 2: that's a desperate take. I don't think they had an
- 18:25Speaker 2: edge player get a pressure in this last game. And
- 18:28Speaker 2: that's another thing that's that's really really hard to do. Yes,
- 18:32Speaker 2: not one guy away, you know, one option hopefully like
- 18:35Speaker 2: get to end up with the number one pick, maybe
- 18:37Speaker 2: you try to. Man, it's week three of the season
- 18:39Speaker 2: already talking about this. It's crazy, but like maybe maybe
- 18:43Speaker 2: you're trying to get Cleveland to give you both of
- 18:45Speaker 2: their first to come up and get whoever who's the
- 18:49Speaker 2: number one quarterback right now? Like it's probably sellers, right, I.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Mean, I think that changes on a week to week base.
- 18:55Speaker 3: I think the cat from Indiana is man.
- 18:59Speaker 2: He looked he looked awesome.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Yeah, like.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Running all the r p O s like that fits
- 19:04Speaker 2: like right in the Collen's offense too, Like he looks
- 19:06Speaker 2: he looked amazing in that game. I think that offense
- 19:09Speaker 2: is really well put together too, like they look great.
- 19:12Speaker 6: I think if you had the number one pick and
- 19:14Speaker 6: you go quarterback, it would be you're not. I don't
- 19:17Speaker 6: know if you're going to improve, Like I think you
- 19:19Speaker 6: gotta get as much draft capital as you can.
- 19:22Speaker 5: And then hope that Mickey drafts better.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Yeah well yeah.
- 19:26Speaker 5: Okay, that's depression.
- 19:27Speaker 4: All right.
- 19:28Speaker 5: We love you, thank you for coming on every single Tuesday.
- 19:31Speaker 5: We appreciate.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Told you we'd get the low vibes by the end
- 19:35Speaker 2: of it.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Yeah, task, yeah, well done, well done, all right. Nick Underhill,
- 19:42Speaker 5: New Orleans Dot.
- 19:42Speaker 6: Football confirmed the Saints are guaranteed to beat the Bills
- 19:46Speaker 6: this week.
- 19:47Speaker 5: Hmm mm hmm.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Edge Rusher, great one hurry game.
- 19:55Speaker 5: That's not good. That's not good.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Great coming after that? Hard to do.
- 20:02Speaker 3: I don't know how we're gonna follow that up. We'll try,
- 20:06Speaker 3: I don't know. I mean actually, actually we could do anything. Actually,

- 21:57Speaker 4: I don't think this is a song about It sounds not,
- 21:59Speaker 4: but it makes me want.
- 21:59Speaker 1: To do that. Uh.
- 22:02Speaker 3: Anybody knows the lead singer of the current lead singer
- 22:05Speaker 3: of Journey.
- 22:06Speaker 7: I know it was the last name, isn't it, Uh.
- 22:10Speaker 3: Steve Perry for me, sir, Well, of course it's Steve Ferry.
- 22:13Speaker 3: So I don't recognize any other lead singers.
- 22:15Speaker 4: I don't even if they're still band.
- 22:16Speaker 3: But who Journey? Yeah, he just played at the Houston Rodeo.
- 22:22Speaker 4: I believe they should have.
- 22:23Speaker 3: They should have at some point in their career played
- 22:25Speaker 3: the Super Bowl halftime and they never selected them.
- 22:28Speaker 5: They got the catalog to do it.
- 22:29Speaker 4: They should do it this year.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Oh. I mean it is from the Philippines. His name
- 22:34Speaker 3: is Arnel Pineda.
- 22:35Speaker 7: I was gonna Panata was the name I was thinking of.
- 22:39Speaker 6: When I think this was like real early on the
- 22:41Speaker 6: internet video days, it might have been like E Bombs
- 22:44Speaker 6: World or something like that.
- 22:45Speaker 4: There was a anyone to remember that website?
- 22:47Speaker 6: Anybody Jake Aisha, Okay, Uh, there was a video of
- 22:52Speaker 6: this guy singing cover band like to zero Crowd in
- 22:56Speaker 6: the Philippines and it was Arnel, Panada, and he sounded
- 23:00Speaker 6: incredible and they flew him out to America auditioned him. Yeah,
- 23:04Speaker 6: Boom got the job, played Demi in a couple of
- 23:06Speaker 6: years later.
- 23:09Speaker 7: Queen still does stuff with Adam Lambert. Yeah he's really
- 23:12Speaker 7: good too, Yep. American Idol, Yeah, America.
- 23:20Speaker 5: I mean, this is an incredible song.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Does anybody remember the Ayisha video from Ebomb's World.
- 23:24Speaker 5: I have no idea what you're talking about.
- 23:26Speaker 4: Yeah, it's good.
- 23:28Speaker 3: I was actually like at that age, I was doing
- 23:31Speaker 3: more rocky stuff than on the internet, like lifting logs. Yeah,
- 23:39Speaker 3: I tell somewhere out of time on thirty one thirty
- 23:42Speaker 3: two in Shreeport Terry Bradshaw Passway. My dad used to
- 23:46Speaker 3: wrap a chain around my waist and my little brother
- 23:48Speaker 3: would be in a tire behind the chain, sit in
- 23:50Speaker 3: it and I have to run up and down the
- 23:52Speaker 3: Interstate hills.
- 23:53Speaker 5: And I liked it.
- 23:54Speaker 3: I wasn't like had to like. He gave us the option.
- 23:58Speaker 3: My older brother didn't like it.
- 23:59Speaker 5: I did. I loved it. We used to go run
- 24:01Speaker 5: Independent Stadium. We used to do.
- 24:03Speaker 3: You know, you had to do singles. You had to
- 24:05Speaker 3: skip a step, you had to do bunny hops. So
- 24:08Speaker 3: that's what I was doing.
- 24:09Speaker 7: Did you get to do any punching in the meat
- 24:12Speaker 7: lockers like Rocky?
- 24:13Speaker 3: Uh No, Now we were balling on a budget. We
- 24:16Speaker 3: didn't have any meat lockers. We didn't have all the
- 24:18Speaker 3: meat hanging around.
- 24:18Speaker 4: You're saying Rocky wasn't on a pretty tight budget.
- 24:21Speaker 5: Well, he was working there. I couldn't work, Wouldn'tah, that's true.
- 24:23Speaker 3: He did have an advantage of meat advantage.
- 24:25Speaker 7: Jake was like thirty five at this point.
- 24:29Speaker 4: They had a lot more meat.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Nothing makes you feel worse than when you ask someone
- 24:36Speaker 3: who covers the New Orleans Saints as well as anybody
- 24:39Speaker 3: who were some voices, who were some leaders on the
- 24:42Speaker 3: offensive side of the football, And that man said Caesar
- 24:44Speaker 3: ruiz Ye.
- 24:45Speaker 4: And it's not like, as soon.
- 24:46Speaker 3: As he said it, it all made sense to me.
- 24:51Speaker 3: Everything made since the picture became crystal clear. It became
- 24:55Speaker 3: four k HD whatever, that's what it was. I don't
- 25:00Speaker 3: care how long you've played in the league. It could
- 25:03Speaker 3: be fourteen years, fifteen years. If you're playing poorly and
- 25:09Speaker 3: you're trying to tell me what we should do or
- 25:11Speaker 3: shouldn't do. I'm not listening to you. I'm not even
- 25:16Speaker 3: trying to be disrespectful to you, my guy. I'm just
- 25:18Speaker 3: not listening because I remember that block you missed when
- 25:23Speaker 3: we were trying to run power. You were pulling around
- 25:25Speaker 3: and you threw a no hitter. I remember on that
- 25:27Speaker 3: zone run when you were trying to reach the three
- 25:29Speaker 3: technique and you couldn't and he hit me in the backfield.
- 25:33Speaker 5: Sorry.
- 25:34Speaker 3: I remember when I had pass protection. My guy didn't come,
- 25:37Speaker 3: so I was going to try to get out on
- 25:38Speaker 3: an underneath route because your guy was free, I had
- 25:41Speaker 3: to block him and I didn't get in my route. Hey,
- 25:45Speaker 3: it all made sense as soon as he said it.
- 25:49Speaker 3: There has to be somebody that people listen to. And
- 25:54Speaker 3: if it happens that that somebody is not playing well
- 25:57Speaker 3: in playing like historically bad as well, like that, that
- 26:00Speaker 3: ain't it, he said McCoy. Okay, he's the eighty sixth
- 26:04Speaker 3: ranked guard out of eighty eight potential.
- 26:06Speaker 4: Guard Brandon Cooks. I can see that him bringing a
- 26:08Speaker 4: little juice.
- 26:09Speaker 3: But like and Brandon Cooks is the third fourth receiver
- 26:13Speaker 3: on this team, Lieman aren't gonna listen to you know, branding,
- 26:19Speaker 3: I mean.
- 26:21Speaker 4: Not in the room.
- 26:21Speaker 6: I don't know, but nobody's listened to something to whoever
- 26:25Speaker 6: it is. Some's got to change the ooh. And also
- 26:28Speaker 6: Nick said, not one person. Can I see anybody trading
- 26:32Speaker 6: a first round or for which you know? I first
- 26:36Speaker 6: round is a hard trade to make. But everybody you
- 26:39Speaker 6: can look for every roster, there's somebody, there's somebody. No,
- 26:44Speaker 6: it's not production too, it's a lot of eight. It's
- 26:46Speaker 6: probably all age. Considering I'm trading Eric McCoy for a
- 26:49Speaker 6: first round pick if I needed a center. I think
- 26:51Speaker 6: Ericoy is really good.
- 26:52Speaker 5: So you wouldn't trade a first round pick for a center.
- 26:54Speaker 4: It's a tough trade. It's a tough as I say,
- 26:57Speaker 4: I would have to like need one need.
- 26:58Speaker 3: And you traded a third the fourth in the next
- 27:02Speaker 3: round probably get him. I love, I love a center
- 27:06Speaker 3: like I think it is crucial to your success. But
- 27:08Speaker 3: I'm just telling you what. You know, the high models
- 27:10Speaker 3: think of the center position. It's like a running back
- 27:13Speaker 3: kind of you need one, very important, but you're not
- 27:17Speaker 3: going to pay one or highlight one that when he
- 27:21Speaker 3: said that, not not a guy, maybe one.
- 27:25Speaker 5: Maybe Calvin Banks, who you just took in the first round.
- 27:30Speaker 6: No good, No, it's good, no good, right, absolutely a
- 27:35Speaker 6: lot of draft capital. And again, like we said, even
- 27:39Speaker 6: if you get the first round pick, one player at
- 27:42Speaker 6: number one overall is not going to help you. You
- 27:44Speaker 6: got to try to get as many draft.
- 27:46Speaker 4: Picks as you can. You have to hit on them.
- 27:48Speaker 6: But yeah, Saints fans, I'm sorry, this next statement is
- 27:51Speaker 6: not going to make you any happier or feel any better.
- 27:55Speaker 6: The guy drafting doesn't draft real well, no, and he
- 27:57Speaker 6: hardly ever trades back to get hard up. He'll keep
- 28:01Speaker 6: because you've never seen pigs trade up and then make
- 28:04Speaker 6: bad draft picks. Maybe it's just lack, he's just unlucky,
- 28:10Speaker 6: but we're cheering for him. I hope, I hope he
- 28:12Speaker 6: turned around big than Yeah, that's the other I'm trying.
- 28:15Speaker 4: I'm trying really hard.
- 28:17Speaker 5: You're not You're not one. You're just not.
- 28:19Speaker 3: You're not one player away. You're not you're multiple, multiple
- 28:23Speaker 3: players away.
- 28:26Speaker 4: I would say, like, realistically, you got to hit on
- 28:31Speaker 4: at least whatever.
- 28:33Speaker 6: You gotta hit at least like four draft people in
- 28:36Speaker 6: the draft that can contribute immediately, and then you got
- 28:39Speaker 6: to hit on about eight to ten free agents that
- 28:42Speaker 6: contribute immediately.
- 28:43Speaker 3: Yeah, that's big free agents too.
- 28:46Speaker 6: Maybe not eight big ones, but like, hey, you gotta
- 28:48Speaker 6: have you gotta two big you gotta have a.
- 28:50Speaker 4: Couple of big ones, so you gotta in the off season.
- 28:53Speaker 6: I mean, you're talking about at least twelve instant contributors.
- 28:57Speaker 3: Probably, I would say to turn and turn it around
- 29:01Speaker 3: to a respectable point. Let's see moonfish in the bayeu
- 29:05Speaker 3: Ford Chat says, literally, who is the voice in the
- 29:08Speaker 3: locker room? When to Mario and Cam are gone and
- 29:11Speaker 3: we're you know, we're asking the question on offense. Obviously,
- 29:14Speaker 3: those guys, they have the ear of the defense, and
- 29:17Speaker 3: sometimes a defensive guy can find his way into the offensive.
- 29:22Speaker 5: Inner circle.
- 29:23Speaker 3: It doesn't happen very often, maybe Cam, but like, yeah,
- 29:25Speaker 3: you're right, once they're gone. But well, we tell this
- 29:28Speaker 3: story often, like once Jimbo left, Like Jimbo's a big voice, obviously,
- 29:33Speaker 3: and Jimbo likes to talk, and Jimbo had the respect
- 29:36Speaker 3: of the offense. Now, when Gary Croton came in, Gary
- 29:39Speaker 3: Gary was a quiet guy.
- 29:41Speaker 4: Gary didn't nicest human probably on earth.
- 29:43Speaker 5: Yeah, but he didn't captivate a room like just at
- 29:47Speaker 5: least he didn't for me.
- 29:47Speaker 3: I don't want to speak for Matt. He just didn't
- 29:49Speaker 3: for me, Like he would get up there and you know,
- 29:52Speaker 3: it's basically like a let's win one for the giver,
- 29:56Speaker 3: like you know, it's let's go when it's like that
- 29:59Speaker 3: doesn't do a whole lot for it me, and you know,
- 30:01Speaker 3: coach Miles would get to go in a little bit
- 30:02Speaker 3: and it starts strong and they kind of fade off
- 30:04Speaker 3: a little bit, and so like offensively, like we didn't
- 30:07Speaker 3: really have that coach that was like Jimbo that we
- 30:10Speaker 3: were so used to and and Bo Polini took notice
- 30:13Speaker 3: of that, and somewhere in the middle.
- 30:16Speaker 5: Of the season, like he picked up on it.
- 30:18Speaker 3: And so like we would be watching him give his
- 30:21Speaker 3: speech to the defense and we'd all be turned around like, oh,
- 30:24Speaker 3: that's awesome. He's not talking to us, that's awesome. In
- 30:27Speaker 3: one game he kind of, like I said, he picked
- 30:30Speaker 3: up on it, and he turns around, he's like, let
- 30:33Speaker 3: me tell you one thing offense and just goes in
- 30:37Speaker 3: on all the offensive like to get us fired up,
- 30:40Speaker 3: and like smashed a whiteboard and it was incredible.
- 30:43Speaker 5: It was exactly what we needed.
- 30:45Speaker 3: And he picked up on that, and we like listened
- 30:48Speaker 3: to him and every word that he said he was
- 30:50Speaker 3: that juice that we needed. So sometimes it can happen.
- 30:55Speaker 3: But I still just don't know if this team has
- 30:58Speaker 3: something like that, because we're talking about college football and
- 31:01Speaker 3: pro football. It's a little bit different. But we didn't
- 31:04Speaker 3: have that voice, and bo knew that we needed something
- 31:07Speaker 3: like that and he gave it to us.
- 31:08Speaker 6: I gotta tell you, I don't know how it was
- 31:10Speaker 6: after we left college, but from two thousand and three
- 31:13Speaker 6: to two thousand and seven, in the ready room is
- 31:15Speaker 6: which we called it before we went out Tiger on
- 31:18Speaker 6: the Field and Tiger Stadium. It was a ready room
- 31:20Speaker 6: where they give the speeches, where all the team was.
- 31:22Speaker 6: We had chairs the four games. That was a bad
- 31:25Speaker 6: day to be a whiteboard. Every single game there was
- 31:29Speaker 6: so many whiteboards smashed and if a coach wouldn't do it,
- 31:32Speaker 6: moffittt was coming in behind it and kicking it, drop
- 31:34Speaker 6: kicking it, punching it, throwing it.
- 31:36Speaker 4: Yeah, bad day to be a whiteboard right there in
- 31:38Speaker 4: the ready room.
- 31:39Speaker 5: Get your bizard.
- 31:41Speaker 4: What I don't know.
- 31:42Speaker 6: If the Saints, and this is a problem, I don't
- 31:45Speaker 6: know if the Saints have broken one.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Whiteboard this year. It's true.
- 31:48Speaker 4: You better start breaking some whiteboards, so.
- 31:52Speaker 5: We'll hope I'll fix it, all right, I don't think
- 31:56Speaker 5: they do.

- 34:17Speaker 5: I've seen the Tomas six.
- 34:21Speaker 3: All right, welcome back, Yeah, otb here on this Tuesday morning.
- 34:25Speaker 3: Try to bring the Tuesday vibe back that we had
- 34:28Speaker 3: before we started talking about Caesar Luiz and the New
- 34:31Speaker 3: Orleans Saints.
- 34:33Speaker 4: L Sizar.
- 34:34Speaker 3: All right, LSU and ole Miss this weekend, ole Miss
- 34:38Speaker 3: seventy three point three percent chance according to the ESPN
- 34:42Speaker 3: Matchup Predictor.
- 34:45Speaker 4: How about that, boys, what you can bring the vibes up?
- 34:47Speaker 5: No? Well, yeah, I mean I think it's nothing's unreliable.
- 34:50Speaker 3: Say we got twenty seven percent chance of winning?
- 34:52Speaker 5: Neither vibes right, because I don't agree they have.
- 34:56Speaker 7: That ESPN Matchup Indicator has Vanderbilt with a fifty four
- 34:59Speaker 7: percent champs of beating LSU, which I also don't agree with.
- 35:05Speaker 3: It's pretty inaccurate.
- 35:08Speaker 5: They are not the FBI. I think it's the Earth,
- 35:11Speaker 5: the S and P plus.
- 35:11Speaker 3: Either way, ESPN like it doesn't favor LSU this year,
- 35:15Speaker 3: so it's no real surprise. That number still is shocking
- 35:18Speaker 3: to me. Ole Miss right now is a small one
- 35:22Speaker 3: and a half point favorite. It did open up in
- 35:25Speaker 3: favor of LSU minus one and a half. It has
- 35:27Speaker 3: gone to the ReBs minus one and a half. The
- 35:30Speaker 3: total on this game which Lane Kiffen did tell you
- 35:32Speaker 3: to take the over, it was fifty.
- 35:34Speaker 5: Five and a half.
- 35:34Speaker 4: Sure, why did you do that?
- 35:36Speaker 5: Because his daughter is apparently dating what weeks.
- 35:40Speaker 3: Who's going to play quarterback for the old miss Land Sharks.
- 35:45Speaker 5: I don't think it's going to be Simmons.
- 35:47Speaker 6: So we got Austin Simmons, we got Trinidad Chambliss. Yeah.
- 35:52Speaker 6: I did see an article that came out yesterday Jambliss
- 35:55Speaker 6: that Lane Kiffen made the quote at one hundred percent,
- 35:58Speaker 6: Austin Simmons is our starting quarter now.
- 36:01Speaker 3: He didn't say that he is one hundred percent. But
- 36:04Speaker 3: that's why I think Turniette has played better. He's nearly
- 36:07Speaker 3: almost seventy percent completion, seven hundred nineteen four touchdown, He's
- 36:11Speaker 3: got a bunch of rushing yards. That's why I think
- 36:15Speaker 3: it's going to be him, because I think the last
- 36:17Speaker 3: thing that you want right now is a quarterback with
- 36:20Speaker 3: a bum ankle against this LSU defense attacking, putting pressure
- 36:26Speaker 3: on you, making you get outside the pocket, have to
- 36:29Speaker 3: throw on the run. So this isn't even an indictment
- 36:32Speaker 3: on Simmons and who's going to be the starter for
- 36:34Speaker 3: that team moving forward. I just don't think right now
- 36:38Speaker 3: that you can have a quarterback with any kind of
- 36:40Speaker 3: ankle issue going against this LSU defense.
- 36:43Speaker 6: Yeah, and what a change of pace that Blake Baker
- 36:46Speaker 6: has to think about on how he's going to game
- 36:47Speaker 6: plan because you're either going to God that's got a
- 36:51Speaker 6: you know, one flat tire, or you're going a guy
- 36:53Speaker 6: against that can run a little bit and do some
- 36:54Speaker 6: things outside the pocket. So the game plan is different
- 36:57Speaker 6: like that. I mean, obviously we're playing a lot lot
- 37:00Speaker 6: of mobile quarterbacks that can create outside the pocket and
- 37:04Speaker 6: create different issues and matchup issues with their legs. But
- 37:09Speaker 6: it's a lot different game plan than if it's somebody
- 37:11Speaker 6: that I can't do that. I mean, we know what
- 37:13Speaker 6: we can do with Harold Perkins with spying the quarterback
- 37:16Speaker 6: and being kind of that rover that gets out there.
- 37:19Speaker 6: I didn't call it a star that kind of star
- 37:21Speaker 6: mindset out there that can attack the quarterback. It's just
- 37:24Speaker 6: a different game plan that you put together. So a
- 37:26Speaker 6: little bit of a challenge there for Blake Baker to me,
- 37:29Speaker 6: and I wouldn't assume that Lane's going to give them
- 37:31Speaker 6: any indication until the last possible second on who that
- 37:35Speaker 6: quarterback is going to be.
- 37:38Speaker 5: I don't know that the game plan changes too much.
- 37:43Speaker 3: I totally understand what I'm saying, like as far as
- 37:45Speaker 3: like the initial just because I feel like LSU's identity
- 37:49Speaker 3: is like know thyself, sure, but but like and within
- 37:52Speaker 3: the the in game adjustments and the in game stuff
- 37:55Speaker 3: that certainly will right, it's it's it's basically maybe it's
- 37:58Speaker 3: not like the adjustment on the X as a no's
- 38:00Speaker 3: it's the mindset of what you're telling your guys to do.
- 38:02Speaker 3: Like in against Clemson, Harold Perkins would have the curl
- 38:05Speaker 3: flat yeah, right, or he'd be a post defender, right,
- 38:08Speaker 3: And you could tell he had the green light as
- 38:12Speaker 3: soon as he even thought club Nick was getting out
- 38:15Speaker 3: of the pocket to abandon his defensive assignment.
- 38:20Speaker 6: Yeah, abandon his own to attack the quarterback. It's a
- 38:23Speaker 6: different mindset. It's a different teaching that you give depending
- 38:26Speaker 6: on the quarterback. Right, if you're not threatened by his legs,
- 38:28Speaker 6: you tell Hale Perkins to stay back in your zone.
- 38:31Speaker 4: Yep. Okay, just could not figure it out.
- 38:38Speaker 5: Oops, I think Trinidad starts.
- 38:43Speaker 3: Yeah they should.
- 38:44Speaker 6: Yeah, but the quote yesterday was like at one hundred percent,
- 38:47Speaker 6: Austin Simmons is our starter even though Trinidad has played.
- 38:50Speaker 3: I think if you LSU you want a quarterback with
- 38:52Speaker 3: a bomb ankle, then I mean with how you've gotten
- 38:55Speaker 3: after the quarterback. So yeah, something certainly to pay attention to,
- 38:58Speaker 3: and will continue breaking down on this game. Before we
- 39:01Speaker 3: take this break, we'll remind you bet our friends over
