This Thursday, July 2nd, Lee’s Famous Chicken on Richmond Road is hosting a fundraiser—donating 20% of sales to Officer Kevin Van Wert and his family after he suffered life-altering injuries during a traffic stop on April 14th. The incident at Meijer Gas Station on Ruccio Way turned violent when the driver intentionally swerved into a pole to escape, leaving Officer Van Wert with multiple broken bones and requiring an arm amputation.
