- 0:15Speaker 1: All right, Hey, I'm on. I'm on. Sorry for the
- 0:22Speaker 1: late connection.
- 0:22Speaker 2: We had some bad weather out here in our city,
- 0:26Speaker 2: so you have some connection problems. But we're here. Glad
- 0:29Speaker 2: you could join me. I am shining your host. Welcome
- 0:32Speaker 2: to another episode of Bad to Business. I want to
- 0:35Speaker 2: give y'all a second to come in. I got a
- 0:37Speaker 2: good message for y'all today, so I'm going to give
- 0:40Speaker 2: some people a second to sign in. I don't know
- 0:42Speaker 2: if y'all got bad connection too, so let me get
- 0:46Speaker 2: myself all the ways together.
- 0:49Speaker 1: A lot of stuff to talk about. I mean, it's
- 0:52Speaker 1: not really scripted today.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Like I told y'all in my last episode, I was
- 0:56Speaker 2: trying to be so on point that I was kind of.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Dull, and I don't want to do that.
- 0:59Speaker 2: I want to be more of who I am. So
- 1:03Speaker 2: today it's not really scripted. As you can see, I
- 1:05Speaker 2: got my bondet on today. It's been a beautiful Sunday.
- 1:07Speaker 2: I got some things done. I hope you'all was able
- 1:09Speaker 2: to get some things done. Me and the fam was
- 1:12Speaker 2: able to do some much needed work around the house.
- 1:16Speaker 2: So so today I didn't, you know, do too much
- 1:20Speaker 2: as far as me goes, as far as even the.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Message goes today.
- 1:28Speaker 2: I kind of just asked God to say, Lord, you know,
- 1:30Speaker 2: I'm chilling today and I really don't. You know, I
- 1:33Speaker 2: don't have a guest today. I don't really have a
- 1:37Speaker 2: set topic. I got some things I want to talk about,
- 1:39Speaker 2: but nothing in a direct direction. So, you know, I
- 1:43Speaker 2: asked the Lord, what will he want to talk about today?
- 1:45Speaker 2: And he's like, you know what, daughter, I'm glad you asked.
- 1:50Speaker 2: He was quick with his topic, and God wanted me
- 1:55Speaker 2: today to talk about open and closed doors. He's like,
- 2:00Speaker 2: you know, trying to you know a little bit about that,
- 2:01Speaker 2: don't you. I'm like, okay, You're gonna.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Use me today.
- 2:05Speaker 2: That's fine because I did ask him, and you know,
- 2:12Speaker 2: I guess he gonna make this a testimony day because
- 2:14Speaker 2: I definitely know about some open and closed doors. So
- 2:17Speaker 2: I just kind of want to share something with y'all today.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I hope you can take it into your week. Not
- 2:21Speaker 2: trying to get y'all to start a revolution next week.
- 2:25Speaker 2: You know, we want to start these post Sundays, is
- 2:28Speaker 2: what I call them. I no longer claim mondays too much.
- 2:30Speaker 2: You know, it sound too too droning, like the word
- 2:34Speaker 2: itself makes us feel like we don't want to do nothing,
- 2:37Speaker 2: So so me and the family we work on on
- 2:41Speaker 2: post Sundays. So not trying to get y'all too routed
- 2:45Speaker 2: up and start a revolution. I got some some things
- 2:48Speaker 2: about politics I kind of want y'all to know about
- 2:50Speaker 2: because I learned some things, and when I learn them,
- 2:52Speaker 2: I want to share them. But today is about opening
- 2:55Speaker 2: closed doors. One thing I wanna just note, and I
- 3:02Speaker 2: noted this when I wrote it down, and so I
- 3:04Speaker 2: don't wanna forget this part. One thing about open c
- 3:08Speaker 2: and closed doors is I heard a uh a rhyme
- 3:11Speaker 2: by J Cole that said or verse that said, the
- 3:15Speaker 2: good news is you went a long way.
- 3:18Speaker 1: The bad news is you went the wrong way.
- 3:21Speaker 2: We ain't got that kind of time to waste anymore,
- 3:23Speaker 2: so we definitely wanna go a long way the right way.
- 3:26Speaker 2: So I wanna talk to y'all a little bit about
- 3:29Speaker 2: open and closed doors and what we asked God for
- 3:33Speaker 2: versus what we try to make happen, two totally different things.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Of course, right.
- 3:42Speaker 2: One of the things I was reminded of when I
- 3:44Speaker 2: asked God, okay, we wanna talk about opening closed doors.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Of course, I have my own testimony but let's talk
- 3:49Speaker 2: about it. Let's not just talk about me. You know,
- 3:51Speaker 2: I don't wanna be the only example. We all have examples,
- 3:55Speaker 2: So I don't wanna just talk about me.
- 3:58Speaker 1: What can we talk about?
- 3:59Speaker 2: And again, a testimony is probably the best example, because
- 4:04Speaker 2: I can tell you more about experience than I could
- 4:06Speaker 2: tell you you know about yours.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I can tell you more about mine than I can
- 4:11Speaker 1: tell you about yours.
- 4:14Speaker 2: So one of the stories I was reminded of is
- 4:17Speaker 2: my story of when I went back to Cali back
- 4:21Speaker 2: in twenty about twenty fourteen. Well before then, I had
- 4:31Speaker 2: a job opportunity. My job sent me to Cali for
- 4:33Speaker 2: some training, some hazmat training. A coworker of mine knew
- 4:38Speaker 2: that coworker of mine knew that I had family in Cali.
- 4:47Speaker 2: I'm sorry, excuse me, And she was like, I mean,
- 4:50Speaker 2: if you want to go ahead and do acause I
- 4:52Speaker 2: don't want to take the training, that way, you can
- 4:53Speaker 2: take the train. Intee, your family kill two birds with
- 4:56Speaker 2: one stone. I was like, back I go. So I went.
- 5:00Speaker 2: And one of the people that I wanted to see,
- 5:02Speaker 2: of course I always want to see, was my grandmother.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I do say, was my late and great grandmother love
- 5:08Speaker 2: her to death to the next life, I should say.
- 5:11Speaker 2: So I went and did my training, and after the
- 5:14Speaker 2: training each day I was there for about four or
- 5:16Speaker 2: five days. After the training, each day, my grandmother would
- 5:19Speaker 2: come and pick me up and go have lunch or something,
- 5:21Speaker 2: or sometimes I just go back to the hotel. But
- 5:23Speaker 2: long story short, one of the days she took me
- 5:25Speaker 2: to her house, and her home was not in the
- 5:30Speaker 2: best condition. My grandmother has been struggled with weight as
- 5:35Speaker 2: well as disabilities, so I know that she's not able
- 5:38Speaker 2: to do a whole lot. But long story short, the
- 5:42Speaker 2: condition looked like a Hordor situation and it was very
- 5:46Speaker 2: nerve wracking to me. This is also a house I
- 5:48Speaker 2: grew up in. Of course, I had been gone for
- 5:50Speaker 2: some years, you know, grew up, lived my life, moved
- 5:52Speaker 2: to another state, all those things. Always kept in touch
- 5:54Speaker 2: with my grandmother, but never really just been to her house.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Even when I traveled to La I would come by,
- 6:00Speaker 2: she'd be out on the porch and we visit and
- 6:02Speaker 2: stuff like that. So never really gave it a second thought.
- 6:07Speaker 2: So she takes me to her house. The situation is.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Really bad, I mean really bad.
- 6:13Speaker 2: My nerves are on edge, and I'm questioning, we got
- 6:17Speaker 2: family out here, how could they let this situation get
- 6:20Speaker 2: so bad? And she basically tells me that she really
- 6:23Speaker 2: didn't have any help. So here I go. Immediately, in
- 6:30Speaker 2: my mind, this is something that I have to do
- 6:32Speaker 2: something about. This is my grandmother and person that's taking
- 6:36Speaker 2: care of me when I couldn't take care of myself.
- 6:38Speaker 2: She don't raise generations after generations, she's been there. This
- 6:41Speaker 2: got to be my mission. This is definitely for me, Grandma,
- 6:45Speaker 2: I'm coming to help you. I hate that this ever
- 6:48Speaker 2: even happened to you.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I don't like it.
- 6:52Speaker 2: So I made the decision that I was going to
- 6:55Speaker 2: go back to California and help her. I had a
- 6:57Speaker 2: great job at the time, getting ready to be promoted.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Family was solid together, but I made the decision that
- 7:05Speaker 2: I needed to help my grandmother. I also had a
- 7:08Speaker 2: job at the time. I was working with the airport,
- 7:10Speaker 2: so I could transfer, you know, from Atlanta Airport to
- 7:13Speaker 2: la Airport at the time, so airport to airport.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Great again.
- 7:19Speaker 2: I made the decision and against you know, my coworkers advisement,
- 7:26Speaker 2: against my job's advisement. They like slick sabotaged, like they
- 7:30Speaker 2: kind of told the job to not really hire me.
- 7:33Speaker 1: It's like the second time I've been in a position
- 7:35Speaker 1: like that.
- 7:37Speaker 2: But the great thing about God is, as Romans eight
- 7:41Speaker 2: twenty eight tells us, you know, I'm sorry, that's not
- 7:45Speaker 2: what I wanted to tell y'all. Well, the great thing
- 7:48Speaker 2: about God, what I did want to tell you, is
- 7:50Speaker 2: that he opens doors that no man can shut, and
- 7:55Speaker 2: he shuts doors that no man can open.
- 7:56Speaker 1: So that's a great thing.
- 7:57Speaker 2: That's another note about this opening closed your message I'm
- 8:00Speaker 2: trying to give y'all. So even though my job tried
- 8:03Speaker 2: to slick sabotage me, I was still able to go.
- 8:06Speaker 1: So I made the decision.
- 8:08Speaker 2: I had a coworker that was telling me, shann't I've
- 8:10Speaker 2: been in the situation like that, trying to help my
- 8:11Speaker 2: family save the house. Pazibliseiah, this ain't something you want
- 8:14Speaker 2: to do. You don't know me, you don't know my grandmother,
- 8:17Speaker 2: you don't know the situation. This is not your business
- 8:20Speaker 2: type thing. But thank you for the advice. Real close
- 8:25Speaker 2: friend of mine. So I didn't really take the advice offensively,
- 8:29Speaker 2: but I just know you know different situations definitely, so
- 8:32Speaker 2: I assumed. But nevertheless I made the decision to go,
- 8:36Speaker 2: got my job to do the transfer, uprooted, my family
- 8:39Speaker 2: went with my daughter's father, my kids, we're finna go.
- 8:42Speaker 2: We get on the road. Whatever don't fit in my
- 8:44Speaker 2: car can't go. That's how determined I was to go.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Even told my job, I wish you, you know, would
- 8:50Speaker 2: help me out and help me feed my kids when
- 8:52Speaker 2: I get there, But I'm going with or without you,
- 8:54Speaker 2: And they made the decision to do that. So that's
- 8:56Speaker 2: how determined I was to go. My prayer to God, Lord,
- 9:01Speaker 2: let the doors that I need to be open be
- 9:03Speaker 2: open when I get there. I need this to go smoothly,
- 9:07Speaker 2: Make it a smooth transition, you know, everything that I
- 9:11Speaker 2: need to go on, you know, just just let it.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Let the doors be open, is what I ask. One
- 9:18Speaker 2: thing we gotta be careful for is what we ask for.
- 9:23Speaker 2: A lot of times we ask for what we want,
- 9:26Speaker 2: not what God.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Wants for us.
- 9:28Speaker 2: And for those who honestly love the Lord like we
- 9:31Speaker 2: gotta remember he is our father, and just like any
- 9:33Speaker 2: of us parents, you know, if our children are doing
- 9:36Speaker 2: well or whatever, even against our advisement, we might assist
- 9:40Speaker 2: in what they're already planning to do to try to
- 9:42Speaker 2: help them and it don't be so hard on them.
- 9:45Speaker 2: So side note, I believe that's what God did. He
- 9:48Speaker 2: did open some doors. It was a smooth transition. We
- 9:51Speaker 2: had a lot of obstacles and some things to go through.
- 9:53Speaker 2: That's a whole other testimony. But I got there.
- 10:00Speaker 1: And against family's approval.
- 10:03Speaker 2: So when I got there, there really wasn't any family
- 10:06Speaker 2: that supported, you know, the move. Didn't come and see
- 10:10Speaker 2: my kids, stuff like that. Like I said, some rough patches.
- 10:13Speaker 2: But I believe that this was my mission, so I
- 10:15Speaker 2: didn't need anybody really on my team. It was my
- 10:18Speaker 2: mission to help my grandmother as much as she's helped
- 10:20Speaker 2: me and done. This is what I'm supposed to do.
- 10:23Speaker 2: That's what I'm supposed to do. God didn't open the
- 10:26Speaker 2: doors that I asked to be open. And even though
- 10:31Speaker 2: just about every door that was opened was a struggle
- 10:34Speaker 2: on the other side, I prayed for the open doors
- 10:38Speaker 2: and that's what I got. So I believed this was
- 10:40Speaker 2: my mission.
- 10:41Speaker 1: This is what I was supposed to do.
- 10:44Speaker 2: And because the doors were open, and you know, even
- 10:53Speaker 2: though it was like two steps forward, three steps back,
- 10:56Speaker 2: I just believed that this was a part of the journey.
- 10:59Speaker 2: This was a part of the struggle. Don't get wearied,
- 11:01Speaker 2: don't get tired. This is what you're supposed to do,
- 11:03Speaker 2: especially when God puts you on a journey. When God
- 11:07Speaker 2: puts you on a journey. So this struggling and stuff,
- 11:11Speaker 2: this was supposed to happen, even though every door is open.
- 11:14Speaker 2: I get a high moment, I get a low moment,
- 11:16Speaker 2: and the low moments.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Pretty much dragged me.
- 11:18Speaker 2: But I'm so appreciative of the high moments that you know,
- 11:20Speaker 2: I disregard the low moments. Disregard them. Not the best
- 11:25Speaker 2: thing to do. Don't disregard, especially when you're praying for discernment.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Don't disregard those low times, those things that just don't
- 11:33Speaker 2: fit right with your spirit. Talk to some people in
- 11:36Speaker 2: my circle, some coworker, some friends, family, and it seems like,
- 11:41Speaker 2: you know, we ask for those red flags and then
- 11:45Speaker 2: we go right past them. When they pop up, we're like, oh, okay,
- 11:50Speaker 2: that might just be another obstacle, right, But we believe
- 11:55Speaker 2: that if we're if we just keep going wasting energy, really,
- 12:00Speaker 2: but if we just keep going, that it's gonna work out.
- 12:03Speaker 1: All things work together for those who love the Lord.
- 12:06Speaker 1: There we go.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Romans eight twenty eight. All things work together for those
- 12:09Speaker 2: who love the Lord. But let's let's remember that verse
- 12:12Speaker 2: also has the comma. We always like to put a
- 12:15Speaker 2: period where God puts a comma. Tend to put a
- 12:20Speaker 2: comma where God puts a period too open and closed doors.
- 12:25Speaker 2: But it's all according to those who are called to
- 12:27Speaker 2: His purpose. Again, let me remind y'all that at the
- 12:31Speaker 2: beginning of my story, after seeing my grandmother and the
- 12:34Speaker 2: conditions and all those things, I made the decision. I
- 12:37Speaker 2: made the decision to go. This comes up later because
- 12:41Speaker 2: as I'm going through all this cha cha this, two
- 12:46Speaker 2: step forward, three steps back. As I'm doing all these
- 12:48Speaker 2: cha cha moves, I got tired of dancing. Got tired
- 12:54Speaker 2: of dancing, and I wanted to know when could I
- 12:56Speaker 2: sit down I feed her, But there were no chairs.
- 13:03Speaker 2: And that's when I started to question my purpose. I
- 13:07Speaker 2: had a wise woman that is still in my life
- 13:11Speaker 2: asked me, and I was talking to her about it.
- 13:12Speaker 2: I'm like, I don't understand why I get good and
- 13:15Speaker 2: I get bad, and I get good and I get bad.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Don't understand I'm doing what I'm supposed to do. I'm helping.
- 13:21Speaker 2: I never had so much strife helping people. In my life,
- 13:26Speaker 2: I've been able to help people. I've been able to
- 13:28Speaker 2: step in and do certain things. This time I wasn't
- 13:31Speaker 2: able to do that, or at least when I did,
- 13:34Speaker 2: it was hell to tell the captain.
- 13:38Speaker 1: As somebody used to say.
- 13:39Speaker 2: So I talked to her about it, and one of
- 13:45Speaker 2: the things that she asked me was, well, did you
- 13:49Speaker 2: ask God if it was okay for you to come.
- 13:54Speaker 1: And do the things that you're doing? And I was like, well, yeah,
- 13:58Speaker 1: you know, I asked him if he could just opened
- 14:00Speaker 1: the doors, and you know, and then he opened the door.
- 14:02Speaker 1: I got the I got.
- 14:03Speaker 2: The the transfer, I did all those things. I was
- 14:06Speaker 2: able to sell the things before I left. And she said, okay,
- 14:10Speaker 2: But what I asked you was, did you ask God
- 14:15Speaker 2: was it okay for you to come? Was it okay
- 14:17Speaker 2: for you to do those things for people? And I
- 14:21Speaker 2: had to sit and think about it, and she waited
- 14:25Speaker 2: and I thought about it, and the answer was no.
- 14:29Speaker 2: What I asked God was for him to open the doors,
- 14:34Speaker 2: make it a smooth transition. I had things happen to
- 14:38Speaker 2: me and it was weird because what I thought was
- 14:39Speaker 2: I'm going back to Cali. You know, as long as
- 14:41Speaker 2: God opens the doors for my job, you know my money,
- 14:44Speaker 2: make sure I got a place to stay. I know me,
- 14:46Speaker 2: I'm finna hustle, bustle this Cali, this home. I already
- 14:50Speaker 2: know what I'm finna do. I'm finisah shaking bait. That's
- 14:52Speaker 2: what I'm gonna do. Uh No, not really. I have
- 14:57Speaker 2: to remember I had been gone for about a decade,
- 15:00Speaker 2: and one thing about Cali is it does shake and
- 15:02Speaker 2: back with and without you, with and without you. It
- 15:07Speaker 2: moves fast. There were freeways built, you know, communities built.
- 15:11Speaker 2: People moved. I moved in some of the same areas
- 15:16Speaker 2: I used to live in, and commutes I used to take,
- 15:18Speaker 2: and it was hell. A commute I used to have
- 15:20Speaker 2: in forty five minutes took me four hours. I cried
- 15:24Speaker 2: on the way to work every morning till I had
- 15:26Speaker 2: to quit. So salute to all my Cali folks. Y'all,
- 15:30Speaker 2: y'all do it, y'all do what you can do. But
- 15:34Speaker 2: the point was I didn't ask God. So what I
- 15:39Speaker 2: realized was he loved me so much that he opened
- 15:43Speaker 2: the door.
- 15:45Speaker 1: He opened doors that I.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Asked, but at the least to say he did it
- 15:51Speaker 2: to show me that that's not what I wanted. The
- 15:54Speaker 2: stumbling blocks I did have before I went in a
- 15:56Speaker 2: and he really didn't stop me. I think even if anything,
- 16:00Speaker 2: he might have asked, asked me, excuse me, asked me,
- 16:07Speaker 2: Am I sure, if this is what I want to do.
- 16:11Speaker 2: I was sure. I didn't believe in the doubt at
- 16:14Speaker 2: that time. No, this is my grandma. This was going on.
- 16:18Speaker 2: I'm seeing that she could basically die in one of
- 16:22Speaker 2: the worst conditions. I'm going back to Cali was my
- 16:29Speaker 2: decision mine, and I went through struggles that I never
- 16:37Speaker 2: thought I would in life, let alone going back home. Right,
- 16:43Speaker 2: this is what I'm supposed to be doing, though, So
- 16:45Speaker 2: how could I be going through these type of struggles
- 16:47Speaker 2: and I'm trying to help him? Hi lo, hi low.
- 16:50Speaker 2: This is what I'm supposed to be doing. That's me
- 16:54Speaker 2: saying that according to my goal, not his purpose. I
- 17:02Speaker 2: developed something while going through all these different transitions.
- 17:08Speaker 1: All they was smooth transitions too.
- 17:10Speaker 2: I went through a whole lot of different transitions. The
- 17:14Speaker 2: one was I slipped into a transition of depression. And
- 17:18Speaker 2: it was funny because I remember telling God, I never
- 17:21Speaker 2: thought that a life that you've created at your hands
- 17:26Speaker 2: at your breath. Could ever hold a place so dark?
- 17:33Speaker 2: But we hold that place that's dark. He holds the light.
- 17:37Speaker 2: The adversary holds the dark place.
- 17:39Speaker 1: You choose.
- 17:40Speaker 2: You want to see the lighter, you want to see
- 17:41Speaker 2: the darkness. Well, at the time, I was seeing nothing
- 17:43Speaker 2: but darkness. It was just bad stuff going on, and
- 17:48Speaker 2: needless to say, everything well, the depression came from everything
- 17:54Speaker 2: I attempted to do did not succeed. It did not succeed.
- 18:01Speaker 2: The weapons that were formed against me did not succeed either.
- 18:06Speaker 2: You know, I stayed prayed up. But the goals that
- 18:10Speaker 2: I intended for myself, you know, God didn't even laugh
- 18:13Speaker 2: at the plans I had.
- 18:14Speaker 1: God didn't laugh at you know.
- 18:16Speaker 2: I think he already saw that it was gonna take
- 18:18Speaker 2: me to a dark place to not be able to succeed.
- 18:21Speaker 2: So I went into a dark place. My family pretty much,
- 18:28Speaker 2: I ain't gonna say, fell apart, but we separated. We're
- 18:30Speaker 2: in a whole nother state at this point. We separated.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Things weren't great, so we separated.
- 18:36Speaker 1: There.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Of course, I parted ways with the job. I had
- 18:38Speaker 2: a new job and lost that job because the commute
- 18:40Speaker 2: was bad. The place I was staying, I, you know,
- 18:44Speaker 2: hurt my shoulder had to have surgery, so I ended
- 18:48Speaker 2: up being off of another job that I was able
- 18:50Speaker 2: to get. The place I was staying was willing to
- 18:52Speaker 2: work with me, but now I'm on unemployment. It was
- 18:55Speaker 2: just really stuff I never experienced, and it left me
- 19:00Speaker 2: back with that. But you didn't ask God. You didn't
- 19:04Speaker 2: ask God. And I believe that if I would have
- 19:08Speaker 2: asked God, he would have stopped me from taking initiative
- 19:13Speaker 2: in somebody else's life.
- 19:15Speaker 1: We can't do that. We didn't create their life. We
- 19:20Speaker 1: can't control it.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Now when I say take initiative in somebody else's life,
- 19:28Speaker 2: that goes beyond see a need, feeling need.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Not talking about that.
- 19:32Speaker 2: I'm talking about you know, you see somebody who may
- 19:36Speaker 2: need some help, and you dive in. You put on
- 19:39Speaker 2: that cake that you you know, your super suit frozene
- 19:44Speaker 2: and excuse me and stuff. You put on your supersuit
- 19:47Speaker 2: and you're finna go save the day because that's maybe
- 19:50Speaker 2: something you're used to doing, going to jump and help.
- 19:53Speaker 1: I went and put on my super suit, but.
- 19:58Speaker 2: I didn't ask for permission for purpose, even I didn't
- 20:01Speaker 2: even ask for purpose in doing it. My purpose, my idea,
- 20:08Speaker 2: my decision was to help my grandmother get get this house.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Back and everything.
- 20:12Speaker 2: And you know, needless to say, like I said, with
- 20:14Speaker 2: all the changes I went through, my grandmother still lost
- 20:16Speaker 2: her house.
- 20:17Speaker 1: I had to move out of it first.
- 20:21Speaker 2: One thing I can say about God is, you know,
- 20:23Speaker 2: even when we are disobedient, you know, before the comma,
- 20:28Speaker 2: all things still work together. For those who love the Lord,
- 20:31Speaker 2: they will they will not go the way that maybe
- 20:35Speaker 2: you hoped. And most times He wills things on your
- 20:39Speaker 2: heart so that you'll want those things and then he
- 20:41Speaker 2: makes those manifest But it just won't go like that
- 20:44Speaker 2: if you don't do it according to the call of
- 20:48Speaker 2: His purpose. So you know, the comma fits in, but
- 20:52Speaker 2: it is what it is. So don't take a initiative
- 20:56Speaker 2: in other people's lives. Don't try to save the day
- 20:58Speaker 2: and you know, create these plans and manifest what can
- 21:04Speaker 2: happen for their lives if you jump in and save
- 21:06Speaker 2: the day. Let me do this, and let me do that.
- 21:08Speaker 2: And if I do this and then try to go
- 21:10Speaker 2: this way, God lasted your plans for your life. I
- 21:17Speaker 2: can only imagine how he feels when you're trying to
- 21:19Speaker 2: plan out somebody else's if it ain't your children who
- 21:23Speaker 2: he's really given you control of, and that's only for
- 21:26Speaker 2: a little while, and that's the control to lead them
- 21:29Speaker 2: back to him so that he can control them from
- 21:32Speaker 2: there then on, give them common sense, give them the
- 21:35Speaker 2: way that they should go, so that they'll never come
- 21:38Speaker 2: from it. And that's one thing I admired about my grandmother.
- 21:41Speaker 2: I was reciting John three sixteen at three years old,
- 21:45Speaker 2: for God, who love the world that he gave is
- 21:47Speaker 2: only the godden Son, that whoever believed in him shall
- 21:49Speaker 2: not perish, but have everlasting life from the time I
- 21:52Speaker 2: hit her door, so again, this got to be for
- 21:56Speaker 2: me to help her, save her, and it just wasn't
- 21:59Speaker 2: for me. I went into depression because I attempted to
- 22:03Speaker 2: do a lot of things that weren't for me to do,
- 22:09Speaker 2: and it hurt and it dismantled me.
- 22:15Speaker 1: It did.
- 22:16Speaker 2: The friendships I had, they wasn't as solid anymore. The
- 22:19Speaker 2: connections I had, they wasn't connecting. You know. Again, I
- 22:23Speaker 2: had to realize, you know, you've been gone doing your
- 22:25Speaker 2: life what you think everybody else been doing. Yeah, y'all
- 22:28Speaker 2: connect on social media's but you know everybody got their
- 22:33Speaker 2: own life. This is why you ask God for purpose
- 22:36Speaker 2: and follow what he says to do, because you have
- 22:38Speaker 2: no idea what's going on almost a decade ahead of you,
- 22:44Speaker 2: after you whatever it is. So back to the topic,
- 22:53Speaker 2: not taking the initiative in somebody's life. Like I said,
- 22:55Speaker 2: just trying to manifest. This is what you can do.
- 22:57Speaker 2: This is what we can do. Try to do this,
- 22:59Speaker 2: do that. Let somebody tell you what they need. Even
- 23:03Speaker 2: if you see a need, some people will come and
- 23:05Speaker 2: talk to you. And like my mom used to say,
- 23:06Speaker 2: sometimes people just need a sounding board. They don't really
- 23:10Speaker 2: want your opinion. They may need to ask for it.
- 23:13Speaker 2: There are some people that get insecure and say some
- 23:15Speaker 2: things like well, I thought you would ask me, well
- 23:19Speaker 2: I told you about so and so, and then you
- 23:20Speaker 2: didn't say nothing. All right, You know what, I can't
- 23:23Speaker 2: be in nobody else's mind this year, since my birthday,
- 23:25Speaker 2: my New Year. I you know, it's one thing that
- 23:28Speaker 2: empathize with somebody, you know, put yourself in their shoes.
- 23:32Speaker 2: It's another thing to take their shoes from. I'm tired
- 23:37Speaker 2: of wearing somebody else's shoes and you know, even to
- 23:41Speaker 2: the point where I'm trying to.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Wear them in for them. That's not what I do.
- 23:47Speaker 2: I got my own shoes to feel, plenty of them,
- 23:51Speaker 2: half of them are still having one. Let me learn
- 23:55Speaker 2: and walk in those shoes and you know, feel those shoes,
- 24:01Speaker 2: feel fee l those shoes before I try to feel
- 24:07Speaker 2: somebody else's. So I want to tell y'all today. You know,
- 24:13Speaker 2: one of the messages I got today is really focus
- 24:16Speaker 2: on these open and closed doors. When they close, they
- 24:19Speaker 2: close for a reason. If you really trust God, then
- 24:21Speaker 2: you know that he's the one that can open and
- 24:23Speaker 2: shut them. If they're shut, they're shut for a reason.
- 24:27Speaker 2: And if you are huffing and puffing and trying to
- 24:30Speaker 2: blow these doors down, I mean you almost you know,
- 24:36Speaker 2: trespassing even doors in your life that are locked. And
- 24:40Speaker 2: it's crazy to me. We'll walk through doors that say
- 24:42Speaker 2: keep closed or try to break those down, but we
- 24:47Speaker 2: are hesitanting, cautious of the ones that say enter here.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Do you trust God or you don't. Either you're gonna
- 24:54Speaker 2: trust them or you're gonna walk away. There is no
- 24:56Speaker 2: trickery with God. There is discernment. God and me and
- 25:01Speaker 2: my family pray on that every morning. I need to
- 25:03Speaker 2: know what to give my energy to and what not
- 25:05Speaker 2: to because I'm quick to probably give my energy to
- 25:10Speaker 2: the wrong stuff because I'm feeling some type of way
- 25:13Speaker 2: about whatever.
- 25:16Speaker 1: I got feelings. We all got them, but I'm quick.
- 25:21Speaker 1: I can go from zero to one hundred. When I
- 25:24Speaker 1: feel need be.
- 25:25Speaker 2: I go to God a lot and say discernment, Lord,
- 25:28Speaker 2: God tell me a lot of times a day. I'm
- 25:31Speaker 2: gonna say more than twice. Now I'm gonna need you
- 25:34Speaker 2: to back up off of that. I'm gonna need you
- 25:35Speaker 2: to not go there. There's certain times that there's you know,
- 25:38Speaker 2: there is a rebuttal in my business. Like I've said before,
- 25:41Speaker 2: I work in transportation, important exports.
- 25:44Speaker 1: There's a lot of time for rebuttal.
- 25:46Speaker 2: There's a times where I'm wrong and I don't like
- 25:48Speaker 2: the way people coming at me about being wrong. There's
- 25:50Speaker 2: other times that other people are wrong and I'm ready
- 25:53Speaker 2: to come at them about being wrong. Sometimes you just
- 25:57Speaker 2: know that those extra words and I one thing I
- 25:59Speaker 2: tell my friends in my family remember sometimes extra words
- 26:02Speaker 2: equal extra emotions. There's some conversations I don't want to
- 26:06Speaker 2: continue to have if somebody decides that even in my validity,
- 26:11Speaker 2: I've said something that offends them.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Now Here they come back. I don't want to do that.
- 26:16Speaker 2: If I'm right, and I said, especially in an email
- 26:19Speaker 2: on black and white, and there's people copyed in, that's
- 26:21Speaker 2: enough for me.
- 26:22Speaker 1: It's enough for me.
- 26:24Speaker 2: I don't have to say, well furthermore, look forward to this,
- 26:28Speaker 2: do this moving forward. I don't even need to do that.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Thank you very much, look forward to you know your
- 26:35Speaker 2: update on the mistake, and.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Keep it moving.
- 26:40Speaker 2: I don't have the energy to stop somewhere that I'm
- 26:44Speaker 2: probably not even supposed to be stopped there, go and
- 26:48Speaker 2: kick down that door.
- 26:49Speaker 1: So watch for them closed doors, those ones that say
- 26:53Speaker 1: enter here. I mean they turn the knobs, turn.
- 26:59Speaker 2: And if you're going to go ahead and huff and
- 27:00Speaker 2: puff and kick those doors down that are hard to
- 27:02Speaker 2: open that God had closed, then don't be so disappointed
- 27:08Speaker 2: by what's so disappointing on the other side. Because you've
- 27:11Speaker 2: invested time and energy, maybe some money, maybe some love.
- 27:17Speaker 1: You've invested.
- 27:18Speaker 2: You invested all that in something that didn't come out
- 27:21Speaker 2: to something else or something you had expected. Ask God
- 27:27Speaker 2: before you continue to walk down that hallway with all
- 27:30Speaker 2: these doors.
- 27:35Speaker 1: He's a good guide. It's a good light. He's a
- 27:38Speaker 1: good guiding light.
- 27:41Speaker 2: And we got to remember to make God our first choice,
- 27:43Speaker 2: not our last option. He is that he's He's going
- 27:52Speaker 2: to help in ways that we couldn't see. If we
- 27:56Speaker 2: keep trying to help people and play God, then they
- 27:58Speaker 2: build the dependency on us, not on him. So we
- 28:01Speaker 2: definitely want to pray first. Usually, if somebody comes to
- 28:05Speaker 2: me about anything, even advice, I'm like, did you pray
- 28:09Speaker 2: about it first? Now I might even get an opinion
- 28:12Speaker 2: because now I done prayed, I might come back and say,
- 28:15Speaker 2: you know, this is what I pray for you. Not
- 28:18Speaker 2: that your prayers didn't get heard, but I pray for you,
- 28:20Speaker 2: and I might have an opinion or something that opens
- 28:22Speaker 2: yours bring you know, a diverse discussion to the table,
- 28:28Speaker 2: but more, and so I'm praying for that person's discernment.
- 28:30Speaker 2: Don't let them waste time, money, energy, love things We
- 28:35Speaker 2: don't have time to waste. We should be treating our
- 28:38Speaker 2: energy like money. We don't have money to waste. Count
- 28:42Speaker 2: every dollar, every cent. Some of us are careless with money, well,
- 28:48Speaker 2: and you're gonna be careless with your time too. Learn
- 28:51Speaker 2: to spend more time with God.
- 28:53Speaker 1: Definitely.
- 28:56Speaker 2: I was talking to one of my coworkers the other
- 28:58Speaker 2: day and and I've had this conversation with my sister
- 29:02Speaker 2: as well that one of the reasons why we might
- 29:05Speaker 2: not ask God is because we know he might say no.
- 29:09Speaker 2: He might say no to something that we want to
- 29:12Speaker 2: Excuse me, that's my chicken. I told you I'm chilling
- 29:16Speaker 2: today doing my Sunday thing. But he might say no.
- 29:22Speaker 2: He might say no to something that we want so badly.
- 29:25Speaker 2: So what we do is we try to like, not
- 29:27Speaker 2: ask him, but let's just see if it works out. Yeah,
- 29:33Speaker 2: how did that work out for you? It's always a struggle,
- 29:37Speaker 2: and then we want to ask God. After we try something,
- 29:39Speaker 2: He's like, now you want me to clean up the mess.
- 29:42Speaker 2: One thing I learned about God too, though, is when
- 29:43Speaker 2: we ask him to take over something that we've already
- 29:46Speaker 2: started growing in that mess we've already planned, he gonna
- 29:51Speaker 2: go ahead and uproot it. He don't just hack off
- 29:54Speaker 2: the surface and think that, okay, well it's just dead
- 29:57Speaker 2: on the front, these dead leaves and just he's not pruney.
- 30:01Speaker 1: He gonna uproot.
- 30:02Speaker 2: If you started it, you planted a bad seed. So
- 30:07Speaker 2: now he got to uproot it, replant it, water it
- 30:11Speaker 2: the way he need to. And you better wanna you
- 30:15Speaker 2: want him to be your green thumb. Okay, you want
- 30:17Speaker 2: him to be your farmer, your planter, your everything, because
- 30:21Speaker 2: your hands is probably you know, tainted a little bit,
- 30:26Speaker 2: because they still got the desires of your flesh. You
- 30:30Speaker 2: want to plant chocolate and you know, chicken and stuff
- 30:34Speaker 2: like that, and he's planning fruit. You know, he's planning
- 30:39Speaker 2: the things that nourish us. And one of the verses
- 30:45Speaker 2: he gives you the desires of your heart. And one
- 30:47Speaker 2: of the things I liked I learned in Bible study
- 30:49Speaker 2: is he'll put some things on your heart that he
- 30:52Speaker 2: wants you to desire, so he can go ahead and
- 30:54Speaker 2: make it manifest. I mean, his will is gonna be done.
- 30:56Speaker 2: But there's some things that he knows that you want,
- 30:58Speaker 2: now they'll come. I have some things that I've wanted
- 31:01Speaker 2: in life that didn't come for years, and I was
- 31:04Speaker 2: so happy when I got it. It was cheaper, you know,
- 31:06Speaker 2: everybody didn't have it. One thing I can't stand as fads.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Everybody didn't have it, from cars to clothes to kids.
- 31:17Speaker 2: I had it when everybody didn't. So I can wait
- 31:21Speaker 2: on God. There's a song that says, even in the
- 31:24Speaker 2: midst of my waiting, I still get blessings every day.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Sister almost said it one day one of the podcast hosts,
- 31:30Speaker 2: I love you to death to new life. Let me
- 31:34Speaker 2: get my words together, she said, I'm struggling, but I'm
- 31:37Speaker 2: still winning. If that's not the champion mentality that we
- 31:43Speaker 2: need to be having, that'll keep you from getting weary,
- 31:45Speaker 2: for sure. So you might be struggling, but are you
- 31:49Speaker 2: still winning? I mean, I'm struggling, but as you can see,
- 31:51Speaker 2: I still got lights. I'm eating heard my oven. It's
- 31:56Speaker 2: got my chicken in it. You know, I'm finding better
- 32:01Speaker 2: ways to budget. You know, we got some things going
- 32:03Speaker 2: on in the world, but we're doing good. We're doing
- 32:09Speaker 2: good every day. You know, you wake up and you
- 32:13Speaker 2: able to do something something is not a day to.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Complain, you know.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Yeah, So that's pretty much the message I wanted to
- 32:25Speaker 2: give to y'all from God that he put that on
- 32:29Speaker 2: my heart today. And I had to testimony about opening
- 32:31Speaker 2: closed doors and taking initiative in other people's lives and
- 32:35Speaker 2: what it cost me, and you know, I thought I
- 32:38Speaker 2: was doing the right thing. And you got to know
- 32:40Speaker 2: when to stop and give it to God. You got
- 32:42Speaker 2: to know when to give it to God.
- 32:43Speaker 1: From the jump.
- 32:44Speaker 2: God said, if you have two shirts, you give your
- 32:46Speaker 2: neighbor one. I don't really, you know, don't don't get
- 32:52Speaker 2: me wrong. Don't get me wrong. But this is where
- 32:55Speaker 2: we ask God, Well, I have a shirt. I have one,
- 33:01Speaker 2: and Lord, I'll give it off my back. You better
- 33:05Speaker 2: ask him first, because the word says, if you have to,
- 33:09Speaker 2: you've your neighbor one. Now, if you feel like you
- 33:13Speaker 2: love that neighbor that much that you'll give them the
- 33:16Speaker 2: shirt off your back so that you have nothing, then
- 33:19Speaker 2: you might want to ask God is he gonna cover
- 33:21Speaker 2: you on the back end if you do it your way?
- 33:27Speaker 2: God covered me on the back end. But it was,
- 33:29Speaker 2: like I said, one of the worst struggles of my
- 33:31Speaker 2: life and I'll never go through it again.
- 33:33Speaker 1: So now I ask God, should I do this? Should
- 33:36Speaker 1: I do that?
- 33:37Speaker 2: There are times I jump a little ahead. I still
- 33:40Speaker 2: have that empathy factor, but and I get my handslapped. Look,
- 33:46Speaker 2: I'm gonna deliver this message. I get my handslaps.
- 33:49Speaker 1: I do.
- 33:50Speaker 2: But the handslap is a reminder I don't have to
- 33:55Speaker 2: step back. I'm not stepping back anymore. Walking with God,
- 34:00Speaker 2: and I'm holding his hand. And when I go to
- 34:03Speaker 2: pull away and do it my way and walk my
- 34:06Speaker 2: way it. Depending on what it is, I might get
- 34:08Speaker 2: a hand tap, sometimes he might let go. Some things
- 34:11Speaker 2: I tell people or sometimes I tell people that God
- 34:13Speaker 2: doesn't punish the worst punishment. He gives us to be
- 34:16Speaker 2: hands off, and we want God to be hands on
- 34:18Speaker 2: right all the time. So if he gets hands off,
- 34:22Speaker 2: we're punished.
- 34:23Speaker 1: That hurts.
- 34:25Speaker 2: He ain't got his hands on our situation. So walk
- 34:29Speaker 2: with God. Talk with God. Ask God, you know, is
- 34:32Speaker 2: it something to do? And if you feel like well,
- 34:34Speaker 2: I don't want to ask God because he might say no,
- 34:37Speaker 2: I mean think again, think of him like your father.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Same thing I tell my kids.
- 34:41Speaker 2: If you know I'm going to say no and you
- 34:44Speaker 2: still do it, that's like a deeper punishment like that,
- 34:47Speaker 2: that's that's a deep disobedience.
- 34:52Speaker 1: That's not even I.
- 34:53Speaker 2: Said no and you wanted to try it, You thought
- 34:56Speaker 2: it and still did it. You ain't even let the
- 34:58Speaker 2: situation play out to see if I was gonna say yes.
- 35:02Speaker 2: So again, I just wanted to share with y'all tonight
- 35:06Speaker 2: about that open and closed doors. Pay attention to them.
- 35:09Speaker 2: If it's a struggle to open it, you know, just
- 35:12Speaker 2: walk away. Even if it's something that you want to open.
- 35:16Speaker 2: You've been trying to get it. You might even try
- 35:18Speaker 2: to gymy it. It don't work, all right, walk away.
- 35:23Speaker 2: Now even with that, here comes your discernment. You go
- 35:27Speaker 2: to walk down that hall and all of a sudden,
- 35:29Speaker 2: that door that was so hard to open, all of
- 35:32Speaker 2: a sudden pops open, creegs, it's little self open, gives
- 35:37Speaker 2: you a little light in air. Come on, need y'all
- 35:41Speaker 2: to be smarter than that. Now that door was closed,
- 35:45Speaker 2: it was hard for me to open. I was sitting there, going, God,
- 35:49Speaker 2: let this door open, and it wouldn't open. But now
- 35:54Speaker 2: that I done passed it and said, you know what,
- 35:55Speaker 2: I'm over I'm over opening that door.
- 35:57Speaker 1: I'm over it.
- 35:59Speaker 2: Maybe that just wasn't for me. Again, there's no trickery
- 36:02Speaker 2: with God, so it's not like he just wanted to
- 36:05Speaker 2: see if he was gonna be okay. Though those times
- 36:10Speaker 2: are different. I mean again, I can't tell you what
- 36:12Speaker 2: levels they go with tears they're in that comes with
- 36:15Speaker 2: prayer time, discernment, relationship with God.
- 36:19Speaker 1: You gotta get it if you want it, because it's there.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Tap in on those.
- 36:26Speaker 2: On another note, yes, definitely tap in with God because
- 36:30Speaker 2: like I said, I work with important export. I see
- 36:37Speaker 2: what's going on. I'm pretty sure y'all have. If you haven't,
- 36:39Speaker 2: then that means you just haven't been ordering nothing. If
- 36:41Speaker 2: you're taking a stam, more power to you. But if
- 36:44Speaker 2: you have looked at the taxes that were paying some
- 36:46Speaker 2: things were ordering online, your taxes are half of what
- 36:51Speaker 2: you know you sometimes the item is I'm noticing different
- 36:56Speaker 2: tariffs and stuff. And I'm bringing this up because God.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Is our source.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Right, He's not a resource. He's not something we use
- 37:06Speaker 2: for other people or something like that. You know, he
- 37:08Speaker 2: doesn't he uses people, right, he uses things. So God
- 37:14Speaker 2: is our source. Tap into him, let him provide what
- 37:17Speaker 2: you need, what you need, because one thing I'll say
- 37:22Speaker 2: about the president and his people is they can't do
- 37:28Speaker 2: everything they set out to do. But they are doing
- 37:31Speaker 2: some things and it's causing some stuff. And you know,
- 37:35Speaker 2: I'm continually continually asking people that voted for him, that
- 37:41Speaker 2: are for him, what has he done for you lately? Now,
- 37:46Speaker 2: if hiring these tariffs and all that is going to
- 37:49Speaker 2: promote the jobs and promote within do all those things,
- 37:52Speaker 2: then of course it's a waiting game.
- 37:53Speaker 1: We're gonna have to wait. Then we're gonna talk about well.
- 37:55Speaker 2: It's only his first year, it's only well, we know
- 37:58Speaker 2: he's done a lot in his first months. But a
- 38:01Speaker 2: lot of the good things that we're learning about him
- 38:03Speaker 2: is he can't just speak it, and it's so like
- 38:05Speaker 2: he got it don't work like that. One thing I
- 38:08Speaker 2: can say that he taught us was that he can't
- 38:11Speaker 2: just speak it in it. So I do believe, like
- 38:15Speaker 2: I told y'all before, I still stand strong and we
- 38:17Speaker 2: the people, and when there's something that's not right, I'm
- 38:20Speaker 2: glad we do have some people in position that.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Say, I mean, that just ain't right. It just don't
- 38:25Speaker 1: sound right.
- 38:25Speaker 2: We're gonna put it on the back burner, or we
- 38:27Speaker 2: just gonna veto it all together.
- 38:28Speaker 1: He just cannot speak it.
- 38:30Speaker 2: So, but there are some things of concern, like tariffs
- 38:33Speaker 2: going up, and I had a meeting with.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Some people to talk about it.
- 38:41Speaker 2: And one of the things that came up that I
- 38:44Speaker 2: thought was funny but not funny, is so I work
- 38:48Speaker 2: in import export and air freight, and see freight totally different.
- 38:51Speaker 2: You want your stuff in three days or you want
- 38:53Speaker 2: it in seven to two weeks. Seven days to two weeks,
- 38:56Speaker 2: the prices are going to be different normally us the
- 39:01Speaker 2: consumers may not see it on the end, but you
- 39:04Speaker 2: know the distributors will see it like that. So it
- 39:08Speaker 2: got brought up that there's some different pricing going on
- 39:11Speaker 2: and different terar if ratings in that, and it said
- 39:13Speaker 2: that a lot of people would like to go move
- 39:16Speaker 2: their stuff ocean because it's cheaper. There are a lot
- 39:19Speaker 2: of people were saying we can put certain things on
- 39:21Speaker 2: the back burner, things that are needed for emergencies, cars,
- 39:23Speaker 2: stuff like that. They'll go ahead and pay that, but
- 39:26Speaker 2: for the most part, now they're gonna send it ocean. Well,
- 39:30Speaker 2: you know, just like any common dictator, you find out
- 39:34Speaker 2: where the people are resourcing outsourcing and you try to
- 39:38Speaker 2: control that as well. So fun fact was that he
- 39:42Speaker 2: wanted to tax it so bad and put tariffs on
- 39:45Speaker 2: things so bad that he's willing to research and find
- 39:49Speaker 2: out where the ocean liner was made. Well, if the
- 39:54Speaker 2: ocean liner was made in certain areas, that's what I'm
- 39:57Speaker 2: gonna tax the ocean liner itself.
- 40:01Speaker 1: So he's found another way.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Again, there's certain things he can do, certain things he
- 40:05Speaker 2: can't do, and that's there's more to come on that.
- 40:10Speaker 1: I Just like I said, fun.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Fact with y'all or with that for y'all is that
- 40:15Speaker 2: he's he's finding ways to do still what may not
- 40:20Speaker 2: be lawful, to make his word bond and it could
- 40:26Speaker 2: or could not be at the price of us. So
- 40:27Speaker 2: you want to stay tapped in, but you wanna be
- 40:31Speaker 2: stay connected with God because no matter what he does,
- 40:34Speaker 2: you'll be okay if you connected with God. And some
- 40:36Speaker 2: things he'll tell you is coming again, you know, up
- 40:38Speaker 2: on the curve. He'll close the doors, he'll open some doors,
- 40:40Speaker 2: he'll put on your heart. Start saving some money, start listening,
- 40:44Speaker 2: start doing what you're supposed to do. So, yeah, that
- 40:47Speaker 2: was a fun fact and more to come about that.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Like I said, I'm not trying to start y'all off
- 40:51Speaker 2: on a bad week. I really want y'all to just
- 40:54Speaker 2: pay it's attention to what's going on, open and closed
- 40:58Speaker 2: door stuff like that. It was another thing I wanted
- 41:03Speaker 2: to say while we're talking about how the presidency is
- 41:05Speaker 2: doing what they want to do. Another funny fact, fun fact,
- 41:11Speaker 2: funny fact, not really funny is I read that they
- 41:18Speaker 2: will be lowering the GPA of teachers to fill the
- 41:24Speaker 2: void that they have of teachers. So you're going to
- 41:30Speaker 2: lower the GPA of educators who are educating our children
- 41:35Speaker 2: to fill the need instead of just hiring the pay
- 41:38Speaker 2: or I'm sorry, raising the pay and the salaries of
- 41:41Speaker 2: the actual educators who took the education, who took the
- 41:44Speaker 2: psychological classes, who took all these things that are necessary
- 41:48Speaker 2: for you to teach my child how to function in
- 41:50Speaker 2: the world. Now you're going to lower the GPA.
- 41:53Speaker 1: And it's funny.
- 41:53Speaker 2: I had to talk with one of my daughter's teachers
- 41:56Speaker 2: or yeah, last week and I told her about it.
- 42:00Speaker 2: And her first question when I said they're going to
- 42:02Speaker 2: be wrong and the GPA was to what, And I said,
- 42:07Speaker 2: I don't think it matters. I mean, whatever it is
- 42:10Speaker 2: that the GPAs are holding right now that has you
- 42:12Speaker 2: required to be a teacher, or has the requirement for
- 42:14Speaker 2: you to be that teacher, that's what you need to have.
- 42:17Speaker 2: That's the psychological levels you need to have, all those things.
- 42:20Speaker 2: We should be doing that. But I knew something was
- 42:22Speaker 2: going to write when, like I told y'all before, they
- 42:24Speaker 2: have now hiring signs on the outside of the Thang schools.
- 42:28Speaker 2: What do you mean I just feel in an application
- 42:30Speaker 2: and come get an a interview right on the spot.
- 42:35Speaker 2: And if I got a nice smile and a good personality,
- 42:38Speaker 2: then I'm almost assuing for the job. Can I work
- 42:45Speaker 2: proficiently in outlook so I can read the curriculum, print
- 42:48Speaker 2: out some papers, give it to the students. Can I
- 42:51Speaker 2: understand it as much as they do. I don't like
- 42:54Speaker 2: that my daughter can graduate at a higher GPA than
- 42:57Speaker 2: her teacher.
- 42:59Speaker 1: That's a little concis.
- 43:00Speaker 2: So, like I told the teachers before, this is where
- 43:02Speaker 2: I start to make the decisions. As you know most
- 43:05Speaker 2: parents do. Do I want my kids to go to
- 43:07Speaker 2: this school that school? What is it gonna cost me?
- 43:10Speaker 2: Things like that, But watch out for that. These schools
- 43:14Speaker 2: that are you know, they got bus buses schedules all
- 43:18Speaker 2: over the place. They can't find bus drivers. My daughter's
- 43:21Speaker 2: bus is late every day and you can see where
- 43:22Speaker 2: they switched it. They had to use this bus that LUs.
- 43:26Speaker 2: Are you going to lower the driving requirements or the
- 43:29Speaker 2: driving records to fill bus drivers because I'm I don't
- 43:32Speaker 2: want Jimmy that had even one DUI driving my daughter.
- 43:40Speaker 1: My preference. I just don't want it.
- 43:43Speaker 2: Because you're trying to just feel the space. So again,
- 43:46Speaker 2: there's there's other things that we got to be concerned about.
- 43:50Speaker 2: Education wise, we still have kids that are in school.
- 43:53Speaker 2: I heard some things about, you know, Trump doing this
- 43:56Speaker 2: shortening the work week and all this other stuff. When
- 43:59Speaker 2: it comes to people flash, I believe it when I
- 44:02Speaker 2: see it. God is the only thing that I can
- 44:04Speaker 2: believe in. I don't have to see because even if
- 44:06Speaker 2: it came to believing is or seeing his believing, I've
- 44:09Speaker 2: seen enough of what God can do that didn't none
- 44:11Speaker 2: of y'all know about, and he made me believe. So
- 44:16Speaker 2: when it comes to Trump, seeing is believing. So like
- 44:19Speaker 2: I said, one thing that he is showing me that
- 44:22Speaker 2: made me feel good about his presidency that it's not
- 44:24Speaker 2: up to the president to just say it is so
- 44:29Speaker 2: you can't do it like that. One thing Obama said was,
- 44:31Speaker 2: I mean I have a boss too. Y'all keep putting
- 44:33Speaker 2: stuff on me. I have a boss too. So I'm
- 44:36Speaker 2: seeing that and that that did good for me. That
- 44:39Speaker 2: show that we the people still have some type of
- 44:42Speaker 2: say because we still have some type of balance with
- 44:45Speaker 2: some people who are not letting some stuff go. So
- 44:48Speaker 2: stand on that hold to that start to speak about
- 44:51Speaker 2: stuff that's not wrong. There's some parents that just ain't involved.
- 44:54Speaker 2: There's some people that's just not involved, and they are
- 44:57Speaker 2: the biggest complainers. Well, that's because you didn't know what
- 44:59Speaker 2: was going on, and when it hit the fan, now
- 45:01Speaker 2: you're mad about it. Even if you knew about it
- 45:04Speaker 2: and it hit the fan, at least you knew it
- 45:05Speaker 2: was coming. It might have been a little more prepared.
- 45:09Speaker 2: Go back into discernment and listening to what's going on.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Even though I watch the news and I hear what's
- 45:15Speaker 2: going on, I see what's going on at work, I
- 45:17Speaker 2: still go God, you saw it cool. As long as
- 45:20Speaker 2: you saw, you hear everything you see every struggle. I'm
- 45:24Speaker 2: just to follow him, not him, follow me, not me,
- 45:27Speaker 2: make the plans for other people's lives, and take initiative
- 45:31Speaker 2: and kick open doors. Nah, if you don't have a
- 45:37Speaker 2: plan because you got with God, I really don't know
- 45:40Speaker 2: what to tell you. I gotta be careful where I
- 45:46Speaker 2: get involved in things that don't really evolve me. God
- 45:50Speaker 2: ain't gonna have me involved where I'm not gonna evolve.
- 45:54Speaker 2: So I want you all to take that with you.
- 45:59Speaker 2: Run a little over tonight. But I had a message
- 46:01Speaker 2: and I really want y'all to get that. So I
- 46:04Speaker 2: got some good things coming up. I got a guest
- 46:07Speaker 2: on my next show, and uh, I think it's gonna
- 46:12Speaker 2: be a maybe a two to three part series. It's
- 46:14Speaker 2: gonna be really good. The topic is gonna be therapy.
- 46:18Speaker 2: Let me just give y'all that little nugget should I
- 46:23Speaker 2: or should I not?
- 46:24Speaker 1: Type of thing? You know what could it or could
- 46:26Speaker 1: I could it not do?
- 46:27Speaker 2: For me? And I'm getting a lot of different perspectives
- 46:29Speaker 2: on it, a whole lot of diverse discussions on it.
- 46:32Speaker 2: So I definitely want to bring all of it to business.
- 46:35Speaker 2: So I'll be doing something like that. I'll be posting
- 46:39Speaker 2: some things. God, let me make sure I never get
- 46:41Speaker 2: off of a show without telling Queen Angela, you know
- 46:45Speaker 2: much props to you, much love to you. You're always
- 46:47Speaker 2: doing something, man, she got so much going on. I
- 46:50Speaker 2: can't keep up. She's got events coming up. You connected
- 46:52Speaker 2: with this woman. You're gonna be doing a whole lot
- 46:54Speaker 2: of things too. She's New York, Chicago, you got a
- 46:57Speaker 2: thing coming up in South Carolina. Like I'm just getting
- 47:00Speaker 2: ready to just have to repost. I can't even really
- 47:02Speaker 2: tell y'all about it. She's done so much. One thing
- 47:05Speaker 2: I'm learning about her is she's very well connected and
- 47:08Speaker 2: whatever she can't do or can do, she's still passing
- 47:11Speaker 2: it on. I got a great opportunity coming up for
- 47:15Speaker 2: an interview for an LA magazine, and that was really cool.
- 47:18Speaker 2: Never imagined it in my life. Reaching out to me
- 47:22Speaker 2: because of her. So I know people who connect with
- 47:25Speaker 2: her that they end up writing a book, it's getting published,
- 47:28Speaker 2: they're doing a book signing, they're having some type of
- 47:30Speaker 2: celebration all from her name, even just her name rings bells,
- 47:35Speaker 2: which lets me know that she's been ten toes down
- 47:38Speaker 2: and everything she does and kept her word because everything
- 47:41Speaker 2: she said would happen has happened. So much love to you,
- 47:44Speaker 2: miss Angela. I didn't really get to talk about the
- 47:46Speaker 2: one hundred authors movement. Yeah, y'all, y'all doing great. Y'all
- 47:50Speaker 2: doing big things. So I'm so excited about that. I'm
- 47:53Speaker 2: so excited and honor to even be a part of that,
- 47:56Speaker 2: being able to show up. I was in a book, y'all.
- 47:58Speaker 2: I didn't really get to tell y'all about that. Like
- 48:00Speaker 2: I said, been going through a lot with air season.
- 48:02Speaker 2: My company's doing different things and I'm finna get into
- 48:06Speaker 2: all that, so y'all stay tuned. Thank y'all for joining me.
- 48:11Speaker 2: We'll see what comes up next, all right, thank you,
- 48:14Speaker 2: bad to business.
