but there's some old things that we do that are because we're not changing

making stuff new. In other words, we're talking about good and bad habits,

good and bad habits. Today on the morning devote. What do I

mean by that? Think about it? Think about good and bad habits.

Some people have good habits. I call them holy habits. Amen. Some

people have these habits that are wholesome, that are good for you. Some

people do that in their health and their diet, the way they eat,

what they eat, what they don't eat, right. Some people watch what

they watch, watch what they see. They don't want to listen to stuff

on music that will cause them to think about old stuff. So the newness

of God that lives inside of every single person who believes in Him and trust

in him, we have an advantage because we have the newness of life.

But there are good habits and they're bad habits. So think about good and

bad habits in your life, right, I think about the ones in my

life. I'm not going to tell you all my bad habits, but there

are good and bad habits that I have to question how do you get them?

How do you get those good habits or how do you get those bad

habits? We thought about that to some is like a no brain of like,

oh, I can tell you exactly where I get those bad habits from

a lot of people who will resort to blaming ancestors and family members and all

that. And sometimes that could be true. Sometimes that could be a cause.

But you've ever been to a doctor and you you know, they checking

you for certain things and they start asking about your family tree, Hey,

did your mom have this, that your dad have this? You know,

do you have this in your family? Does this one in your family?

Because they're trying to trace or where whatever they're looking for it came from.

Well, I'm here to tell you that bad conditions in our heart and our

life, and our health, our mind, everything, all that stems from

sin one Sinis chapter three. That's all. It stems from God in the

create us to die. He created us to live, God in and create

us to be sick. He created us to be healthy, gothered and created

us to fail. He created us to be in victory, gothered and created

that all good things are from our Father in heaven, the Father of lights.

habits on the morning Devo. The first scripture we're going to read is right

out of Relatians, chapter number five. This is verse number sixteen. Apostle

Paul says, but I say walk habitually in the Holy Spirit, seek Him

and be responsive to his guidance, and then you will certainly not carry out

the desire of the sinful nature, which responds impulsively without regard for God and

his precepts. Listen, we're not animals like people say. We're just a

little bit above from the apes, and we're animals, and we live on

instinct. God didn't give us instinct. He gave us a soul and spirit.

Amen, we don't have to be living off an instinct. We could

be habitually walking in the Holy Spirit. We could be seeking Him and be

responsive to his guidance. And then when we do that, we won't carry

out this instinctive desire to sin, the sin nature, right, that's impulse

you ever you ever went to a grocery store and you made it out without

getting any kind of junk food, And now you're in the last lane,

you're waiting for the cashier, and that whole lane is full of kind of

like raunchy magazines, candy, junk, last second impulse things that they strategically

put there so they say, I just get it. It's only a dollar

fifty, But it's bad. Something full of sugar, something full of salt,

something that's not good, something that's not even like natural, is old

man made. You know what I mean That I'll is what I believe we

could compare to these bad habits. They're impulsive habits. They are things that

you know and I know that re not from God. They're from the flesh.

We all go through this. This is this is I'm speaking to myself,

I'm speaking to you. God is speaking to all of us. We

all go through this, and that's a bad habit. And man, when

we respond impulsively without regard, without regard for God and his precepts as if

we found a better way. Listen, all roads don't lead to the same

God. The road that we know that leads to the Lord is a narrow

road. It's not a broadway that leads to destruction. Is a narrow road

that leads to eternal life. Amen. So let's follow habitually and walk habitually

in the Holy Ghost, in the Holy Spirit seeking him man, because without

him we're lost. I don't care if you've been saved five seconds or fifty

years, no holy Spirit right to walk after, to be habitually, and

it's I call it a holy habit be responsive to Him and his guidance.

If you don't do that, you're gonna be actually responding impulsively onto the simpul

nature. It's either or. I know a lot of people wish they was

both. Sometimes I wish it was both, but it's not. Both ways

is one way, Amen, And the best way is to do what the

word moral courage. Man, be bold about your belief when you have a

holy habit. Don't hide those holy habits. If you pray before you eat

and it's a holy habit in a restaurant, home, a friend's house,

whatever, don't be ashamed to do that. Go ahead and show your moral

courage. Help people. Yesterday there was an accident and I just happened to

know the people that were in the accident. I jumped out of my car

so fast, pulled over first, and made sure everybody was okay. Man,

it's one of those things that it's moral courage. It's like I'm not

gonna keep on dry and I had somewhere to go, I was running late

and everything, but moral courage will say, no, you can't just pass

by your friends and leave them without asking if they're okay. Jump out the

car and you know that's all Holy Spirit. My instincts and impulse would have

been, like you running late, Sam, you don't got time unless you're

saying, man, don't worry about that, or they'll be all right.

Moral courage, holy Spirit. God in me said, no, get out,

make sure they're okay. Our conduct empowered by the Holy Spirit. It's

a beautiful thing, especially when you know yourself. You know that normally,

like normally, you wouldn't do things that have moralcoverage. You wouldn't do things

that promote what God is doing in your life. Maybe it's because you're trying

to be super humble, like like really like extreme humble, or you're trying

to hide. Listen, I was in a place in my walk a couple

of years ago, then five to ten years ago, right that I was

feeling like I didn't want to be in the front, like I didn't want

to be known or noticed. So I thought I was just being a little

bit extra humble, But that humility caused me to hide. You gotta be

careful with this about being humble, because sometimes it could cause you to hide.

It caused me to hide. I was hiding out because I didn't want

you know, the smoke or the enemy. You know, because when you're

doing things for the Kingdom of God, snatching souls out of the kingdom of

darkness. Enemy sends some people after you, send some spirits after you.

We win, But it's just like sometimes you don't want that smoke. Can

we just be in peace? If you want peace, get ready, Hey

man, God's gonna work that peace out in your life and in my life.

But things are gonna happen to test that peace. All you want to

walk in faith, go ahead. It's a beautiful thing to walk in faith,

faith in Jesus, not faith in faith. But you know, get

ready because now your faith is gonna be tested. We're not gonna be tempted

by God. God doesn't tempt nor can he be tempted. The enemy is

gonna bring you temptations. The enemy's gonna put stuff your old bad habits.

He's gonna play some right in front of you and be like, what are

you to do? Now? Are you gonna do? What to do?

He's not gonna promote anything about the spirit. That's one thing about the enemy

that we could count on. You could count and trust the enemy in this

that he will never tell you the truth. Bank on it, count on

it. But what you can count on God for he will always tell you

the truth In love, kindness, he would rebuke, he would exhort,

he would discipline when necessary. Amen, chastise, and he will. He

loves us so much. God loves us so much that when we're going in

the wrong direction, go break some things. He'll disconnect a bridge that he

knows will lead you to your destruction walking down the path and then boom,

you'll fall into some hole. Yeah. Yeah, it might be painful for

a minute, but ultimately God has saved you again from going in the wrong

direction. When people can say, amen, I know it's true, and

you know deep down it's true too. Even if you don't know about these

scriptures yet and you're not understanding fully. I don't think any one of us

are gonna understand the scriptures fully, just because it's so much to understand in

such a little time that we have here. But you know what I mean,

even if you're not all in that you have one foot in the world,

one foot in church. I can't say one foot in the world,

one foot in the kingdom. That's not gonna happen. God is not going

to tolerate his kingdom being filled with lukewarm Christians, because you know what the

word says about being lukewarm. He's gonna spee you out what I am saying

if you're not fully in. Because I know a lot of people when you

talk about Christ, they always say, oh, I don't go to church,

or I'm not religious. We're talking about a personal God, personal relationship

with the Holy Spirit, personal relationship with Jesus the Lord, the Christ,

personal relationship with the Father. Amen. And I know a lot of times

when people hear this and we're like, oh, Sam's religious because he goes

to church. They associate Jesus, God, Holy Spirit with the church because

that's what American Christianity teaches. Got to come to the House of God.

Where is that? So I'm disaddressed that's the house of God? When the

scripture plainly says that we are the temple of Holy Spirit God. So we're

walking, living, breathing sanctuaries walking around the earth. Come together, Amen,

When we come together, when I come together, when another brother or

sister and the Lord. Amen. Church is happening because we are the church.

But I understand why people think it's always a building or a place to

go to. When you talk about the Lord, when you talk about yahweh

names, people automatically say, think we're talking about religion and we're talking about

our church building. I understand that because America and American Christianity has done us

dirty. It's not all the way true. Listen, if you gonna if

look at you know, what's going on on TV with these preachers and these

evangelists, you might be a little confused. Keep your Bible open when you're

going into a church, or when you're watching something on TV, or you're

could go through like Beriens and be like, yeah, okay, that that

room to be corrected. And God loves us so much that he will correct

and error. That doesn't make any sense. When you're being led by Holy

Spirit God, you get to break old bad habits. When you're not led

by the Holy Spirit and God in you a man, you are to continue

in your old habits. So think about good and bad habits in your life.

How did you think you developed those bad habits? First, I think

it's just because we're practicing it right, Practicing our way will lead us to

a bad place. Practicing His way will lead us into a good place.

And that's how I see it. Right. So, in a way,

the food of the Spirit is like this. When we place our faith in

Christ, not only are we saved, but we receive Holy Spirit. Beautiful

thing right. God's word instructs us and Holy Spirit empowers us, so we

know the right things to do and we have the spiritual power to carry them

out. Think about it, shot the five powerful chapter. Man, read

the whole thing. We camp down in verses sixteen, and then we looked

at verse twenty five. We put those together today. Amen, good and

bad habits, if we have a holy habit, continue to do them,

continue to demonstrate them, continue to practice them a man, continue to be

led by Holy Spirit. Bad habits could be broken. We just have to

change our leadership who's leading us into these bad habits, our sinful nature and

the flesh who's leading us into good habits and breaking the bad habits. Holy
