Love Proposal on Empire State Building | US News
Two climbers, a 32-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, scaled the Empire State Building to the 1,400-foot antenna, unfurled a peace-themed banner, and then proposed on a high ledge—complete with engagement ring photos. Their stunt, part of a project called “Skywalkers: A Love Story,” involved unauthorized climbs of skyscrapers. Police found a broken lock on the 114th floor, the only way up to the antenna, which is off-limits to the public. Despite charges, both climbers were released without bail.
