- 0:39SPEAKER_00: Welcome back to Reality We've Got Thoughts.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: And we have got a great show planned for you.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: Lots of stuff going on this week.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: You know, we are dying over Dancing with the Stars, and we had a really good episode last night of Dancing with the Stars.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: And we also have Jeff Lewis's new show.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: I I keep wanting to say Jeff Lewis live, but that's his radio show.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: But still flipping out was on Monday night.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: So we're going to talk about that.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: And really, we're just ready to get into it with Dancing with the Stars.
- 1:11SPEAKER_03: Okay, first we have to touch on Julianne's look.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Here we go again.
- 1:15SPEAKER_03: Here we go again.
- 1:15SPEAKER_03: Completely different look, completely different hair outfit.
- 1:20SPEAKER_03: The my first thought when I saw it was, are they trying to make her look like Mariah Carey?
- 1:24SPEAKER_03: I mean, come on.
- 1:25SPEAKER_03: And then we learn later in the episode that she's actually wearing one of Mariah's dresses.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: Yes, it was, because I was thinking the same thing that they were obviously trying to get the Mariah Carey thing.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: She obviously had hair extensions in.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: And it turns out it was a 2008 Mariah Carey dress right out of her archives.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: And it was cute.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: It was kind of safe compared to what she's done.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: It was a lot safer compared to what she's done, I think.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: What do you think of the hair?
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: How do you like her with the long hair?
- 1:50SPEAKER_03: I don't mind her with long hair, but that long hair I didn't think was working on her.
- 1:54SPEAKER_03: But I think they were just trying to go for the Mariah Carey book.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: The other thing that I think is interesting is that she's like, thanks, Alfonso.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: She's I liked her.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Thanks, Alfonso.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: Like, I liked her energetic, but she has definitely toned it down, which I don't know if that's good or bad.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: So that was interesting.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: Um, what about Mariah Carey overall?
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: Did you feel like I I liked the songs overall, but I learned something about myself.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: I don't know a lot of Mariah Carey songs.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: There were a lot of songs that I was unfamiliar with.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: Okay, good.
- 2:26SPEAKER_03: I thought it was.
- 2:27SPEAKER_03: I think that Mariah Carey we're used to is the generation we grew up with when she was so big and so popular.
- 2:32SPEAKER_03: So anything new she's had from, I guess from our adult life.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: Like newer or more obscure.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: I don't know what it was, but I did not know.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: I did not know a lot of the songs.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: Um they did, I did like the opening number.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: I really, I really liked the opening number.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Thought that was good.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Um, did you did you see was that Guillermo in the ticket booth?
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: Did you pick up on that?
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: So I was like, why are they like pushing him and promoting him?
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: Because he draws views.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: It's crazy.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: And because nobody else, the whole rest of the opening promo or opening act was just the pros and the truth, right?
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: So I just thought that was interesting.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: I was like, that's a little bit of favoritism right off the bat.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: Well, he's he is, he's drawing views.
- 3:15SPEAKER_03: He's clearly getting a lot of viewer votes because he's still there.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: Um, Alfonso's outfit was on fire.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: I loved it.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: Not just because of the color.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: He's great, and that it was definitely, definitely good.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: Um, so get getting right into it.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: What about the dances?
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: They started off with Sierra.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: And Brandon doing a jazz dance.
- 3:41SPEAKER_03: I thought it was really cute.
- 3:42SPEAKER_03: They play, I like how they played off the school theme, and I felt like she was so much more relaxed and that her personality came out so much more because I've been feeling like we needed to see more of her and her personality because she always just had that stone face about everything.
- 3:56SPEAKER_03: And I feel like we saw more of that.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I did think that it was just not very polished.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: I don't know, I know the jazz is different, I know that, but I kind of felt like, you know, it was almost like something that could have been at a school talent show.
- 4:11SPEAKER_03: See, and I didn't get that from a jazz is a lot more expressive.
- 4:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 4:16SPEAKER_03: It's not gonna be as polished, so it gives them a little bit more freedom.
- 4:20SPEAKER_03: Jazz and contemporary are gonna give them a little bit more freedom to do more things with their dance.
- 4:24SPEAKER_03: So I guess that's it.
- 4:24SPEAKER_03: I guess it's because, you know, obviously I didn't know.
- 4:27SPEAKER_03: I mean, the judges liked it.
- 4:28SPEAKER_03: The judges, um, Derek said it was a great way to start the show.
- 4:31SPEAKER_03: Um, he loved the commitment to the dance, which is what I appreciated is the whole school theme.
- 4:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 4:36SPEAKER_03: I love that.
- 4:37SPEAKER_03: Um, Bruno said it was a great storyline, the timing was good, great performance.
- 4:41SPEAKER_03: I thought overall it was good.
- 4:42SPEAKER_03: Even Carrie Ann said it was clean and polished and her best dance yet.
- 4:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: And they did get all sevens.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: All the judges gave sevens, 21 out of 30.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: So that was good.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: During her performance or right around, I don't know if you're a Justin Sylvester fan.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: Do you like Justin Sylvester?
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: Was he in the audience?
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: Did I see them cans to him?
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: I like wanted to see what was going on with that because I did see him in the audience, which was really cool.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: Um, so yeah, so theirs was good.
- 5:06SPEAKER_03: And I felt like we started to see more of their partnership come out too.
- 5:09SPEAKER_03: Like I liked them as I like them more as partners.
- 5:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 5:13SPEAKER_03: All right, moving on.
- 5:14SPEAKER_03: Ezra and Daniela.
- 5:16SPEAKER_03: Now, we all know Ezra's my favorite.
- 5:18SPEAKER_03: I just it's so fun to watch him dance and fun, so incredible to see what Daniela does with the choreography with him because she has to get super creative to be able to work around.
- 5:30SPEAKER_03: And one thing that struck me last night is I had completely forgotten he also has a hand deformity.
- 5:36SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 5:37SPEAKER_03: Um, because it's you just focused so much on him.
- 5:40SPEAKER_03: And last night his personality really shone through.
- 5:42SPEAKER_03: And yeah, it's I I just loved it.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and they danced a rumba to anytime you need a friend.
- 5:49SPEAKER_03: Uh the judges loved it.
- 5:50SPEAKER_03: Just a charisma.
- 5:51SPEAKER_03: It was a completely different look for Ezra, too, that slicked his hair back.
- 5:55SPEAKER_03: He looked like a model, I thought.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: He looked great, they looked great, they're always good.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: He's so young.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: Um, again, Derek said very sophisticated.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Your arms were fluid in control.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, like you said, Bruno was just so thrilled with it.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: So Bruno's always so animated, too.
- 6:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he's so fun to watch.
- 6:16SPEAKER_03: He is.
- 6:16SPEAKER_03: I thought it was mesmerizing for me.
- 6:18SPEAKER_03: I thought it was great.
- 6:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 6:19SPEAKER_03: They did, they scored well.
- 6:20SPEAKER_03: They got straight eights with a 24, and obviously the judges liked it.
- 6:24SPEAKER_03: So I think um he's definitely one to watch.
- 6:29SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 6:29SPEAKER_03: All right, moving on to Harry and Jenna.
- 6:31SPEAKER_03: First of all, let's talk about the order that they put the dancers in this time.
- 6:35SPEAKER_03: How do they decide that?
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: I want to know how they decide because it's very weird to me.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: Um, because that's what you wonder too.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: It's like they're not necessarily going in the order of the leaderboard from the following week.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: They're not necessarily, it's just it's weird.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: The producers obviously pick it somehow by the music, by the dance, splitting up the dance is something, but it it is a little suspect sometimes.
- 6:58SPEAKER_03: Oh, they know exactly what they're doing.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: I think they know exactly what they're doing.
- 7:03SPEAKER_03: They definitely have favorites.
- 7:04SPEAKER_03: It's it's getting a little irritating.
- 7:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 7:06SPEAKER_03: Okay, so back to Harry and Jenna.
- 7:08SPEAKER_03: They danced the tango.
- 7:10SPEAKER_03: Um, and the fun thing about this one is Harry was actually a background dancer in Mariah Carey's video for the song they were doing.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: That is pretty cool.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: That was really cool.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: And so, um, and that was so many years ago.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: But one thing before they even got started, it kind of was irritating because did you see how they really were playing up?
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: They made a point of talking about how he's filming Grey's Anatomy and her going to Gray's Anatomy and all that stuff.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: I felt like that was very intentional too, to kind of prop him up with that.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: Um what do you think when he's dancing?
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: What's up with his faces?
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: Is that something that he's supposed to be doing?
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: He makes some weird faces when he's dancing.
- 7:49SPEAKER_03: Or is that the actor in him?
- 7:51SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 7:52SPEAKER_03: I I think he's just trying to play up to the dance.
- 7:56SPEAKER_03: It doesn't always work.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: No, it doesn't really work for me.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: I, you know, it was good, but um Bruno said it was a red hot tango from a man on a mission.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: So he was sharp as a knife.
- 8:09SPEAKER_03: Yes, very intense.
- 8:11SPEAKER_03: Um, even Derek said too, it was powerful, concise.
- 8:14SPEAKER_03: He loves that he's taking chances in his dances.
- 8:17SPEAKER_03: And some of that is um, you know, thanks to Jenna.
- 8:19SPEAKER_03: Jenna's pushing him too.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and Carrie Ann was like, wow, wow, masterful, beautiful, unique style, and um, all eights, 24 out of 30.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: 24, which I still felt like Ezra and Daniela did better, and I didn't think it should have been judged.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: Well, same.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: From week to week, I'm amazed where sometimes I I don't understand the scores.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: Like I understand how they started off lower, but even now that they're getting higher, I don't always agree with it.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: Same, same.
- 8:47SPEAKER_03: All right, Jenna and Val did the rumba.
- 8:50SPEAKER_03: And remember, last week the judges told Jenna that she needed to kind of scale back a little and not and not go so hard.
- 8:58SPEAKER_03: And I felt like she took that to heart this week.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:02SPEAKER_00: She's really good.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, it was just like Derek said, every element was stunning.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: I felt the same way.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: It was it was just such a lot more relaxed this week.
- 9:12SPEAKER_03: She kind of let Val take the lead, where the criticism before was that she was kind of the lead, and she really let Val take the lead.
- 9:18SPEAKER_03: I don't know that I love their partnership though.
- 9:21SPEAKER_03: I don't think the same type of chemistry is there for the two of them as there is for some of the other couples.
- 9:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's interesting.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: I think I could see exactly what you're talking about.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: I did agree with Carrie Ann's um analysis where she said that she appreciated that she was being vulnerable.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: She was looking at all the notes from the judges, thought it was very stunning and spectacular.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: Carrie Ann even went to the point of saying that she was happy for her for the dance.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: And I agreed with that.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, thankful to see the vulnerability in her.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: And oh, I was just gonna say when they went upstairs, I did think that she flat out said that Jenna did say that she felt the vulnerability and um, you know, that she's she always seems emotional when she's talking about this, and that she really loved being here.
- 10:07SPEAKER_03: So that was I think it's important to note too that Jenna is on the older end of some of these competitors, and but she looks so young.
- 10:15SPEAKER_03: So I think people don't take into consideration her age and that she's a such an incredible dancer still at this age.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, her body and her fitness level and everything is just on another level.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: And so, yeah, I completely agree with that.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: No, it's insane.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: All right, Tyler and Sharna did the foxtrot.
- 10:35SPEAKER_03: Tyler.
- 10:37SPEAKER_03: I'm not sold on Tyler.
- 10:39SPEAKER_03: He's not, he's just kind of eh for me to watch.
- 10:43SPEAKER_03: It was his best dance yet, I thought.
- 10:45SPEAKER_03: I I did feel like it was his best dance yet, but there's nothing about his dancing that really makes me want more from him.
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the dancing is not that great.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: Seems like a nice guy, just kind of whatever.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: It's interesting that he was really playing into the story of his mom and telling the story, which who how could you not feel for him hearing about that, losing his mom, this being her favorite show?
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: And um, while I think that's very genuine, it's also pretty smart as we're getting further into the competition and there's more and more chance of being eliminated, trying to pull some people in to vote for him based on that sympathy.
- 11:24SPEAKER_03: Agreed, because I feel like with Robert Irwin last year, that was his big draw, is he's doing this for his dad.
- 11:30SPEAKER_03: And oh, I really felt my dad here with me.
- 11:32SPEAKER_03: And he just so played into that emotional aspect of it.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: And obviously, so many people loved his dad and that.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: Um, because even Derek mentioned, you know, he said that he didn't know it, he didn't realize about that.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: Carrie Ann said, I'm sure your mother's so proud of you.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: Um what about Bruno's comment?
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: Did you notice Bruno's comment about that looking good even with your clothes?
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: Bruno loves seeing Tyler with a shirt off.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: So he did keep his clothes on this week.
- 12:01SPEAKER_03: I saw a comment uh from another influencer saying, What is with the shirts being unbuttoned and the shirts off?
- 12:08SPEAKER_03: Like, we don't need to see all that.
- 12:10SPEAKER_03: But obviously, I appreciate it.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's it's nice to see it.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: There's beautiful people, men and women on there with beautiful bodies.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: And the bottom line is I that's a big part of dance, right?
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: With the different types of costumes they wear.
- 12:23SPEAKER_03: So well, and a lot of times with the costuming, they specifically make them to showcase certain elements of your body while you're dancing.
- 12:30SPEAKER_03: Like you can't see your hips move a certain way in one costume like you can in another.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: Yes, and probably to you know, based on the dance which dance too.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: So they got all sevens, 21 out of 30.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: Played off it.
- 12:43SPEAKER_03: All right, Mora and Mark dance the waltz.
- 12:46SPEAKER_03: I thought it was beautiful, it was very elegant, beautiful.
- 12:51SPEAKER_03: They they are a good partnership together.
- 12:54SPEAKER_03: For me, there's still something missing there.
- 12:58SPEAKER_03: I don't know if it's I think they have good chemistry with each other, but there's still something missing.
- 13:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 13:04SPEAKER_03: And maybe we just need to see more of her personality.
- 13:06SPEAKER_03: Those that didn't watch her on the traders and have didn't see that side of her personality come out.
- 13:11SPEAKER_03: I think there's we're still wanting more from her.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: If you don't already know her, I think that you need that you need more.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: When it comes to the dance, they got, you know, great.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: Carrie Ann said, I got emotional watching you just because it's so good.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: Carrie Ann's literally like crying, like, excellent, excellent, excellent.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: Um, Derek said a classic waltz, no gimmicks, no tricks, pure ballroom dancing, exquisite.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: Um, he did say I thought some of some of it looked shaky, but um, or actually, I'm sorry, I thought that.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: I thought so he didn't say that.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: I thought some of the dance looked shaky, even though they gave it good good things.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: But she does look beautiful, her outfit was beautiful.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: And Pru knows what's my favorite.
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: The musicality was delicious.
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: He got he comes up with the best stuff.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: Um, and I thought it was interesting that Alfonso said, I don't think it's over for them.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: Like it it is interesting to see some of the comments, which I know they have to be excited and they have to prop it up, but it's it must be hard for them as hosts to try to stay kind of neutral and not because they don't always do the best with that neutrality.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: No, I think there's clearly favoritism there.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: And she ended up getting the first nine of the competition from Carrie Ann of all like of all people, yeah.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: Who's usually the most critical.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: That definitely was her Carrie.
- 14:28SPEAKER_03: Carrie Ann was in tears watching her.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: I was I was shocked at how emotional Carrie Ann was about it.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: So they got 25 out of 30.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: They did good.
- 14:37SPEAKER_00: Because they got two eights and a nine.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: On to your favorite Guillermo and Whitney.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: This might have been my favorite dance of Guillermo's.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: I don't know why it it was.
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: I did like it, but I still I still just say like it's but again, that's part of it.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: It is a dual competition.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: It's the judging and the um, you know, so what do you think?
- 15:04SPEAKER_03: Uh my first well, they danced a samba, and every single judge commented that wasn't really a samba, but hey, it was entertaining.
- 15:14SPEAKER_03: Um, my first thought was, man, props to Whitney for working with that.
- 15:18SPEAKER_03: Cause did he even dance?
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: Well, that's what I've said all along.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: He's not even dancing, he's not even doing anything.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: I've said it before, he could do nothing, he could not go to practice and just show up.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: He's being pulled along.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: I was really actually thrilled that he got two fours and a five.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: Because I was gonna be mad if he scored high scored high.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: Because Bruno said more of a shamble than a samba.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: And that's true.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: And when I say it's my favorite dance of his, that is a low, low bar, a very low, low bar.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: Like I'm not, I mean, he because I I mean he spent half the dance on the floor laying on the ground.
- 15:55SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: It was insane.
- 15:58SPEAKER_03: He was entertain it was entertaining to watch.
- 16:00SPEAKER_03: Like he definitely has the personality to be on TV.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 16:05SPEAKER_03: I could see why he's in the job he's in and all that, and it's great, but and quite frankly, I don't think he's expecting to make it all the way, but I think he's being creative and looking for ways to make the viewers want to keep watching him.
- 16:18SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 16:19SPEAKER_03: So I he's he's doing his job.
- 16:21SPEAKER_03: Do I love it?
- 16:22SPEAKER_03: No, but he's doing his job.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: And I do think that they are very smart about putting together the cast of different people because the show would not be as interesting if it weren't for that.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: Like you said, it does bring something to the show that makes it more interesting.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: Agreed.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: I agreed.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: All right, moving on to Jackson and Emma who dance the waltz.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: Two can't live if living is without you.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: Beautiful song.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: It was his birthday.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: It was.
- 16:50SPEAKER_03: So they celebrated his birthday.
- 16:52SPEAKER_03: Made a good deal out of that.
- 16:54SPEAKER_03: I do you feel like we're seeing more of Jackson?
- 16:57SPEAKER_03: Do you feel like his light is still dimmed from some of the comments?
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: Even at the beginning, when they were all standing there at the beginning, and he's so tall and he was in the back, he was not smiling that, you know.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: I I do think, I do think this has been very hard on him.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: If you following, if you follow on social media this week at one of the Savannah Banana games, one of Jackson's teammates came out and did kind of a parody of Guillermo's dance and had the coconuts dancing for the dancing for the people.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: Dance for the people or whatever.
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: And when it was posted on social media, um Jackson made a comment, something to the effect of it wasn't even it wasn't even shady.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: It was literally like it was a funny comment that said something about, you know, you and you got it with without hours of practice or something like that.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: And people were like going crazy, like as if it was something him.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: If it as if it was something against Guillermo.
- 17:56SPEAKER_03: Like like he was throwing shade at Guillermo.
- 17:58SPEAKER_03: And so Jackson deleted the comment, which I I think in situations like that, it's worse.
- 18:02SPEAKER_03: When you delete it, it means you're admitting.
- 18:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he should have just left the comment.
- 18:07SPEAKER_03: I don't think the comment was bad.
- 18:08SPEAKER_03: It wasn't.
- 18:09SPEAKER_03: And even Guillermo came out and like they posted a TikTok of Jackson and Guillermo hugging, and like they were fine.
- 18:15SPEAKER_03: It was it was all in good humor, but those internet trolls just decide to go nuts.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: So I you know, I do think.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: So, what'd you think of his dance?
- 18:28SPEAKER_03: I thought it was his best dance yet, to be honest.
- 18:30SPEAKER_03: I thought it was beautiful.
- 18:32SPEAKER_03: Um, he was on time.
- 18:35SPEAKER_03: He is a are we having a guest?
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: Oh, I think we have my mirror.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: We have a couple guests, special guests.
- 18:43SPEAKER_00: I hear some breaking background.
- 18:44SPEAKER_02: Oh, we get say we get all the dogs too.
- 18:48SPEAKER_02: Hey, all the dogs.
- 18:50SPEAKER_02: This is Tatum and Blake.
- 18:51SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh, there's so much in my hand.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: Do you want who's holding Benny?
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: Will Benny let me hold him or no?
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: Sorry, I have him in the car with me.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: That's okay.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: Do you think that we'll see how the other dogs maybe we could babysit him if the other dogs are good?
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: So we've gone through about half the dances.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: We're at the part where do you want to put them down and see if the dogs go crazy?
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: If they're okay.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: Um come tell everybody what you guys thought of the overall episode.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: We haven't covered everyone.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: We're just to Jackson and Emma's dance.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: We're just talking about Jackson and Emma.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: What was the order of them?
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: I don't remember.
- 19:25SPEAKER_02: Y'all are good.
- 19:25SPEAKER_02: Oh, you haven't.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: It was, oh, remember it was Ciara, Ezra, Harry.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: We've talked about um Val Tyler and Mora and Guillermo, and now we're on Jackson.
- 19:37SPEAKER_03: Okay, but first off, what did you guys think of Guillermo's dance?
- 19:42SPEAKER_01: It's so hard to remember this.
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: I don't remember it.
- 19:45SPEAKER_01: Well, he laid on the ground.
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he laid on the ground.
- 19:48SPEAKER_01: Um I mean, he's not really dancing.
- 19:49SPEAKER_01: He's just kind of there.
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 19:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: So who's your favorite this season?
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: Um, I don't know, honestly.
- 19:56SPEAKER_01: I mean, Harry's so good.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: Um Harry, Mora, Max.
- 20:01SPEAKER_03: Make sure they're get get Benny.
- 20:03SPEAKER_03: So Benny can Tatum is our resident dancer.
- 20:05SPEAKER_03: She grew up dancing competitive dance um from the time she was three years old.
- 20:09SPEAKER_03: So thank you for the introduction.
- 20:11SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 20:12SPEAKER_03: It's so funny.
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: Harry's your favorite.
- 20:14SPEAKER_01: You think he's the best dancer?
- 20:16SPEAKER_01: Um, Harry's good.
- 20:18SPEAKER_01: I like Connor and Riley.
- 20:19SPEAKER_01: They're pairing.
- 20:20SPEAKER_01: He's not the best dancer, but also it's only week four.
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: He's entertaining.
- 20:23SPEAKER_01: Um, he's entertaining who else.
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: Julian Ezra, I think Julia's a pretty dancer.
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: I think Mora's frame is beautiful, and I think she's a really good dancer, too.
- 20:31SPEAKER_01: She's better than I expected her to be.
- 20:34SPEAKER_01: Um, Jackson.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: Not much to say there.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: Poor Jackson.
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: Um his dance was better this week, though.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: He was a little better this week.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: It was.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: Oh, and Ezra.
- 20:45SPEAKER_01: I love Ezra.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: I know, right?
- 20:47SPEAKER_01: Ezra and Daniel.
- 20:47SPEAKER_01: I just love Danielle's my favorite pro, so.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: Blake, who's your favorite?
- 20:51SPEAKER_01: Mora.
- 20:51SPEAKER_01: I just love Mora.
- 20:53SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 20:53SPEAKER_03: She's just my fave.
- 20:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 20:55SPEAKER_03: Did you watch her on Traitors?
- 20:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 20:56SPEAKER_03: So you've seen like her whole personality.
- 20:58SPEAKER_02: Yes, I love her personality.
- 21:00SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 21:00SPEAKER_02: Just so funny.
- 21:01SPEAKER_02: And I love her and Mark's relationship.
- 21:03SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 21:04SPEAKER_02: From like being on traitors together and then like coming to dance dance tours.
- 21:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: Agreed.
- 21:09unknown: Yeah.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: So fun.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: Super fun.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: Well, what are you guys most excited about your fall break?
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: Your home for fall break.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: What are you going to do?
- 21:16SPEAKER_00: Just being this.
- 21:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: Sleep with it.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: Sleep with it.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: Blake's getting a hair, her hair done tomorrow.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: Transformation.
- 21:26SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: So we'll show.
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: Well, can we post a picture of you?
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: Not right now.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: No, well, but everyone's going to see you on video on YouTube.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: But that's okay.
- 21:34SPEAKER_00: But we'll post a transformation video of you tomorrow after the hair appointment.
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: Apparently we will.
- 21:39SPEAKER_01: Love it.
- 21:39SPEAKER_01: Fun.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: Before and after.
- 21:41SPEAKER_01: Well, it's great.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: So fun having them home.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: Hi Benny.
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: And Benny made an appearance.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: We got all the bottoms.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: Thank you guys.
- 21:50SPEAKER_00: Thank you guys.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 21:54SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 21:55SPEAKER_03: We were back to Jackson.
- 21:56SPEAKER_03: Jackson and Jack.
- 21:57SPEAKER_00: I admit you all know I'm biased.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: So you talk, like I do think it was an improvement, but I I would never, even though I'm biased for him, I would never sit here and say, like, oh, he's the best dancer out there.
- 22:07SPEAKER_03: No, I I think with Jackson, I would love to see more of who Jackson is and not show person Jackson.
- 22:14SPEAKER_03: Because his whole Savannah Bananas career, his TikToks, everything are showman Jackson.
- 22:20SPEAKER_03: It's all a show.
- 22:21SPEAKER_03: I I would love to get to know Jackson.
- 22:23SPEAKER_03: And I don't feel like we've seen that from him yet.
- 22:25SPEAKER_03: And I feel like he had he took a step backwards in trying to show us because of the feedback that he was getting.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there was just a lot.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: I think this was, like we've said before, a whole new um avenue, you know, a whole new venue for him.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: Where the trolling could get crazy, and he's coming from a very positive audience and supportive audience.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: I was I was happier with the judges this week because they were night, they were nice.
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: Derek said so much good in there and gave him some very specific feedback.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: Carrie Ann said it makes me so happy to see you tap into the love of dance, directing passion into the music and showing it well done.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: Bruno said, Thank you, Jackson.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: When you do something and feel it completely different, you were on the music and with the music, I can see you almost for the first time.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: And they and he got three sevens.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: So 21 out of 10.
- 23:16SPEAKER_03: And and clearly the judges listened to the public's feedback on how awful they were to him last year.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because we were not the only ones that thought that that was not, he did not get fair treatment.
- 23:28SPEAKER_00: And um, so so that was good.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: They did plug for the banana bowl coming up on Saturday because Disney Plus, Disney and Disney Plus is obviously all under the ABC umbrella.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: Banana Ball is still completely privately owned by Jesse, the founder, but they do have a partnership with Disney right now, and they are gonna have the banana bowl, which is the culmination of their um it's like their super bowl that is going to be on Disney Plus.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: So, um, so anyway, and Jackson said what's true is that they just have to keep improving every week.
- 24:06SPEAKER_03: I agree.
- 24:07SPEAKER_03: All right, Tatiana and JN did a jazz number.
- 24:11SPEAKER_03: I felt like we saw more of her personality in this.
- 24:14SPEAKER_03: Um Carrie Ann loved it.
- 24:16SPEAKER_03: She said, you know, you're such a good storyteller.
- 24:18SPEAKER_03: You could kick the moves a little harder and with a little bit more energy, but that was very good storytelling.
- 24:24SPEAKER_03: Uh, I think the biggest criticism from the judges was that she needed more energy.
- 24:28SPEAKER_03: She was a little bit wobbly.
- 24:29SPEAKER_03: Um, she's clearly working hard, but she needed to exert more energy in it.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and didn't they say something about in jazz the way that the certain moves are supposed to be um you know, certainly more theatrical, more it's a little bit more theatrical.
- 24:45SPEAKER_03: And and she's an actress, so she um has that theater in her.
- 24:50SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: She just was repressing it for some reason.
- 24:53SPEAKER_00: When they said that, I thought it brought me to thinking of like the musical Chicago and like the Fossey choreography and that type of thing.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: Um, I wasn't crazy about the outfit she had on.
- 25:04SPEAKER_00: I know it went with the theme, but there she she's looked much better in different outfits.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: I agree.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: And you know, I'm I'm loving her, I like her more and more each week.
- 25:13SPEAKER_00: I thought she did a great job.
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: I like her story.
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: I'm rooting for her.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: So she did get two sevens and a six, 20 out of 30.
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, which I thought was good for her.
- 25:23SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 25:24SPEAKER_03: Connor and Riley dance the rumba.
- 25:27SPEAKER_03: One of Tatum's favorites.
- 25:28SPEAKER_03: One of Tatum's favorites.
- 25:29SPEAKER_03: And like Tatum said, he is not the best dancer.
- 25:31SPEAKER_03: He really isn't.
- 25:32SPEAKER_03: But their partnership is so good.
- 25:34SPEAKER_03: Riley brings out um, you know, the bubbly personality.
- 25:39SPEAKER_03: Connor's got such a following on social media.
- 25:41SPEAKER_03: He's got you know, he's got the personality as well.
- 25:45SPEAKER_03: And I just think they make a great partnership together.
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: They are.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: They're a good team, they're a good team.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: I thought it was funny.
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: I saw something where he um apparently they have these trailers where they get ready, and he was with Harry, right?
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: Did you see this?
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: Where they were, was this on social media or on the show?
- 26:04SPEAKER_03: It could have been on the social media.
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: I think it was on social media.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: There's two different shades that you pull down in the trailer, and Connor was in Harry's and saw the other shade pull down, and he was like, Oh, wait a second.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: And he went outside and realized that he had only been had like the daytime shade.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: So when he was getting dressed in there, you could completely see him.
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: So that was funny.
- 26:27SPEAKER_00: But um, I thought his judge, I thought the judge's scores were fair because you know, because it was like I kept say I wrote down for my notes like where's the rumba?
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: Like the dance was entertaining, but I think there needed to be more yeah.
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: Derek even said you've got to work on those legs, you keep your legs straight.
- 26:46SPEAKER_03: So he only got 19 out of 30.
- 26:48SPEAKER_03: And work on his feet placement.
- 26:49SPEAKER_03: Bruno's noticed his foot placement was off.
- 26:53SPEAKER_03: But I I mean it was better, but he he he's just not a dancer.
- 26:57SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 26:58SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 26:59SPEAKER_03: Julia and Ezra did the Viennese waltz.
- 27:02SPEAKER_03: She was having so much fun out there, and it showed in her dance.
- 27:05SPEAKER_03: I feel like she she was because she's been a little stiff up to this point because I feel like she's just thinking so hard about the next move and trying to remember the choreography and everything, that she wasn't relaxed.
- 27:17SPEAKER_03: But you could tell this week that she was much more relaxed and just enjoying the dance.
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: And I was thinking, like, it was so true that when they were doing the package and talking about it, and they were talking about how uh challenging the Viennese waltz is, and he was saying, like, you can't make a you can't miss a step.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: Like it's very fast-paced, and you can't miss a step.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: It made me scared for her because I was thinking, Oh, this would be really hard for somebody that's not a professional dancer, but she handled it well.
- 27:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, sure.
- 27:46SPEAKER_03: Her arms were beautiful, um, elegant.
- 27:48SPEAKER_03: Carrie Ann did, or maybe it was Derek Derek told her, honey, you need to breathe.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: Yes, Derek did say that.
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: He said, breathe, stunning, loved it, well done.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: Um, and Carrie Ann said it was the breakthrough.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: It was the breakthrough.
- 28:04SPEAKER_03: All right, what have we got next?
- 28:05SPEAKER_00: All right, and when they got 21 out of 30, they got all sevens from everybody.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: Um, Amber and Pasha, they also danced a rumba to Hero.
- 28:15SPEAKER_00: And I think if I had to pick, I think Hero, this I of course I love this song, and I loved Vision of Love was perfect for the Viennese Waltz, also for Julia and Ezra.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: Um, but they Amber and Pasha dance Hero, and I just put wow, I thought it was so good.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: She is so physically fit, she is such an athlete.
- 28:36SPEAKER_00: And how about that move at the end?
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: Where she's crazy.
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: Did you guys see that?
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: Do you remember where Amber did the back thing?
- 28:45SPEAKER_01: So hard.
- 28:47SPEAKER_01: It's so hard to do.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: Debbie's like, what are you doing?
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: Derek even said, can you do it?
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, oh, you could do it.
- 28:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: Tatum, do it right here.
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: Oh, because Derek even said, Derek even said, I can't wait to see people try that at home.
- 29:07SPEAKER_00: We do Pilates, we can do it, right?
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 29:11SPEAKER_00: No, I can't even do the full splits.
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: I cannot do, I cannot do it.
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: I'm pretty flexible and I can stretch, but not like that.
- 29:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 29:18SPEAKER_00: But she is so good.
- 29:20SPEAKER_00: Um, oh, I guess she needs your car key.
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: Tatum is in the back.
- 29:23SPEAKER_00: Tatum's in the back saying she needs a car key.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: Um, so yeah, I was really happy with them.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: Carrie Ann said powerful and divine, breathe more, um, you know, all that.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: Carrie Ann started with this thing telling her to pull back like she did before with Jenna.
- 29:40SPEAKER_00: And again, I was like, I literally wrote down what?
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: Like, what why is she saying that?
- 29:44SPEAKER_00: Um, because I I think Amber's amazing.
- 29:47SPEAKER_00: Um, Bruno said stretches to the limit of human ability, never lost the flow.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: What a great dancer.
- 29:54SPEAKER_00: So they got very good scores.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: Um, Derek eight, Carrie Ann seven, Bruno eight, so 23 out of 30, which I thought was very well deserved.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: Very well deserved.
- 30:05SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 30:06SPEAKER_03: So it's getting hard now, right?
- 30:07SPEAKER_03: We're getting it is getting hard.
- 30:09SPEAKER_03: And I think one thing I didn't like when we had so many people, they've first of all they started off the season with two additional stars that they haven't had before.
- 30:17SPEAKER_03: So they added two two stars to their roster.
- 30:21SPEAKER_03: So I felt like, oh, so it was 14 instead of 12.
- 30:25SPEAKER_03: It's normally starts with 12.
- 30:26SPEAKER_03: I feel like now we're finally getting to the point where they have more time.
- 30:29SPEAKER_03: Because one of my favorite parts about it is when they're in rehearsals and really seeing those personalities come out and you're seeing how they interact with each other.
- 30:37SPEAKER_03: And I feel like they're finally getting time to do some of that and tell us the backstory of some of these dancers.
- 30:44SPEAKER_00: So they kept going.
- 30:45SPEAKER_00: It's always as they go, and I'm always intrigued by whoever chooses the order.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: They're like, these are the couples that are safe.
- 30:52SPEAKER_00: Amber and Pasha, Mora and Mark, Harry and Jenna, Jenna and Val, Tyler and Sharna.
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: Then they're like, then these Ezra and Daniela, Julia and Ezra, Tatiana and Jan, Connor and Riley.
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: So they're left on the stage is Jackson and Emma, Guillermo and Whitney, and Sierra and Brandon.
- 31:16unknown: Yeah.
- 31:16SPEAKER_03: So what did you think when you those were really the bottom three?
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: And they always say, not necessarily the bottom three.
- 31:24SPEAKER_00: Well, I how many people well, I would think that Jackson he got better scores.
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: He was up, he was up there a little bit further on the leaderboard with just the scores.
- 31:36SPEAKER_00: I took a picture of it.
- 31:37SPEAKER_00: And and Guillermo, and he also, I would have thought that Jackson would have gotten his um his people out to vote.
- 31:48SPEAKER_00: So what do you think?
- 31:49SPEAKER_03: That's what that's I was really nervous for Jackson when he went out there.
- 31:53SPEAKER_03: And I thought, gosh, maybe finally the world has seen that Guillermo did not dance at all and did not vote for him.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: So as from the scores, Sierra was six.
- 32:05SPEAKER_00: They were tied, Sierra and Jackson.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: So actually it's weird, like they were all Sierra and Jackson were tied for six, also with Tyler and Sharna, as far as the the judges' scores.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: And Guillermo was down at the bottom.
- 32:22SPEAKER_00: Connor was 11th, Tatiana was 10th, at the top was Mora at number one, tied for number two, was Ezra, Harry, and Jenna.
- 32:32SPEAKER_00: Amber was five, and then so it it's interesting because they like they said, it's not necessarily the bottom three.
- 32:41SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: So you were worried.
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: Did you think Jackson was?
- 32:44SPEAKER_03: I were I was worried about Jackson because I feel like the judges were so awful last week that it created this online, um, almost anti-Jackson support.
- 32:56SPEAKER_00: But I know I there are a lot of people supporting him because even when we shared a clip of us talking about how we felt, we got a lot of really good support for him.
- 33:05SPEAKER_00: So I hope that that continues, but I don't know how long he'll be able to sustain.
- 33:13SPEAKER_00: So I had a weird calm feeling that it wasn't gonna be that night.
- 33:18SPEAKER_00: You know, I think I'm psychic or something.
- 33:21SPEAKER_00: So when the people who've watched know that Sierra was eliminated, did you so did you feel like you were shocked or you just didn't really know?
- 33:30SPEAKER_00: You were I was surprised because I really felt like she did really well.
- 33:35SPEAKER_03: It was one of her best dances.
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: When she was eliminated, I don't know exactly what her social media following is, but I'm wondering, I would think that her show and her situation is more obscure and there's a lot, not a lot of people.
- 33:53SPEAKER_00: Because even when it comes to Bravo, I mean, I'm obviously we're we do this, we're recapping shows.
- 33:59SPEAKER_00: I did not really, I have not been a summer house, I've like sporadically barely watched Summer House.
- 34:03SPEAKER_03: You have to be a Summerhouse fan to know anything.
- 34:06SPEAKER_00: The only reason I even know any of the Summerhouse people is just because I'm so interested in the whole Bravo verse, but I don't know that a lot of the dancing with the stars fans know who she is, you know.
- 34:19SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 34:19SPEAKER_03: Well, and remember with her, she's uh I think her MO every week when she'd get feedback from the judges, her was just such a blank stare all the time that you didn't know she what she was thinking.
- 34:30SPEAKER_03: And I think that was hard for people to relate to her.
- 34:33SPEAKER_03: So it kind of surprised me and yet didn't surprise me.
- 34:36SPEAKER_03: I was surprised, not entirely surprised.
- 34:39SPEAKER_03: Do I think someone else should have gone home other than her?
- 34:41SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 34:42SPEAKER_03: But it is what it is.
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: But overall, good episode.
- 34:47SPEAKER_00: I enjoyed it.
- 34:48SPEAKER_00: So, what do you think of the next week?
- 34:50SPEAKER_00: Is gonna be NFL themed.
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: What do you think of that?
- 34:53SPEAKER_00: Is it Super Bowl theme?
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: So it's Super Bowl, yeah, Super Bowl.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: Super Bowl.
- 34:56SPEAKER_00: Super Bowl theme, you're right.
- 34:57SPEAKER_00: Um because it's kind of anthems.
- 34:59SPEAKER_00: They're getting yeah, they're gonna have um, they're gonna have um, it said like the best of Super Bowl halftime shows.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: So think about this really opens it up.
- 35:08SPEAKER_00: They could pick a lot of stuff.
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: I think of all the big names they've had at Halftime.
- 35:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there's been so many big names at Halftime in history.
- 35:14SPEAKER_00: I hope someone dances for Snoop Dogg, right?
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: I can't wait.
- 35:17SPEAKER_00: J Lo.
- 35:18SPEAKER_00: I mean You two Yeah, the weekend, the weekend.
- 35:22SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah.
- 35:23SPEAKER_00: So it this is really yeah.
- 35:27SPEAKER_00: We've had every genre.
- 35:28SPEAKER_00: Aerosmith.
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's the it's gonna be really interesting to see.
- 35:32SPEAKER_00: I mean, Dolly Parton just re just made a you know cameo, the Super Bowl in recent years.
- 35:39SPEAKER_00: Harry Underwood.
- 35:39SPEAKER_03: I can't every genre you can think of as performance.
- 35:42SPEAKER_00: So it's gonna be really fun to see which direction they take this.
- 35:45SPEAKER_00: And they said they are gonna have the reason NFL was in my head, they said they are gonna have appearances by NFL legends and past people.
- 35:53SPEAKER_00: So I'm sure that my boy Emmett Smith is gonna be on there.
- 35:57SPEAKER_00: I love Emmett, so I can't wait.
- 35:58SPEAKER_00: I I I can't imagine he's not gonna be there as of if they're having Super Bowl theme.
- 36:05SPEAKER_00: Like I'll be mad if he's not there.
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: So, all right.
- 36:10SPEAKER_00: Well, it was good.
- 36:11SPEAKER_00: All right, all right, on to next week.
- 36:13SPEAKER_00: Can't wait.
- 36:14SPEAKER_00: It'll be good.
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: So we'll do a quick recap.
- 36:17SPEAKER_00: We are also watching Still Flipping Out with Jeff Lewis, and um, I'm loving the show.
- 36:24SPEAKER_00: One of the best parts about it is that Debbie is kind of a newbie.
- 36:28SPEAKER_00: She is a neophyte of Jeff Lewis, and it really gives a good take on the show.
- 36:32SPEAKER_00: I love that she's just getting to learn and getting to know these characters.
- 36:37SPEAKER_00: So what'd you think?
- 36:39SPEAKER_00: So it started, it's it started off at radio, and Jeff is sick, and they're talking about him having the man flu.
- 36:46SPEAKER_03: They explain that as when a man gets sick and makes it everyone else's problem, which is so spot on, right?
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: We all experience this.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: We've all experienced it.
- 36:56SPEAKER_00: We'll be respectful of our husbands and not go into that.
- 36:59SPEAKER_00: But it is it is so, it is, it is funny.
- 37:01SPEAKER_00: And it is funny that the reason Jeff is still at work is because he talks, he's such a worker, he doesn't like taking days off.
- 37:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he gets mad at Sirius when they have the the holidays off, which they obviously have like the regular bank holidays off.
- 37:15SPEAKER_00: Um so he is there.
- 37:18SPEAKER_00: Um so they are funny because when he he's upstairs there, then they're back at the house and they're working, and all the work, the employees like Justin, the accountant, is glad.
- 37:31SPEAKER_00: He said, Oh, the house is so nice when he's not here because he's not down in the office with them.
- 37:34SPEAKER_00: And Annie's like, Yeah, I want to ask for time off.
- 37:36SPEAKER_00: It's so intimidating to ask for time off.
- 37:39SPEAKER_03: So when they're let me ask you this when they're sitting there eating their meals together, because Jeff buys lunch for the staff every day.
- 37:46SPEAKER_03: Uh they're in his house, is that right?
- 37:48SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 37:49SPEAKER_03: It's not an office dining room, it's his house.
- 37:52SPEAKER_00: This is one of the things that's so crazy about Jeff, and he's always done this.
- 37:55SPEAKER_00: If you watch Flipping Out, he's always had his staff in his house, which is part of what made makes it such a crazy dynamic because you've got his business staff, and now the people that help with radio and everything, the design team, they would all be in, he would literally have in his, if you go back and watch old flipping out, it'd be like the big living room, and there would literally be like desks set up different ways.
- 38:17SPEAKER_00: They've always worked from the house.
- 38:19SPEAKER_00: And then when Monroe, when his daughter was little, she'd be like screaming upstairs.
- 38:24SPEAKER_00: It that's part of what made it crazy because then you've also got the household staff.
- 38:27SPEAKER_00: Like this whole chaos we had earlier.
- 38:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like our like this is like us.
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: Like we're working, we work, we're working from home here.
- 38:33SPEAKER_00: And so that's what made it fun.
- 38:34SPEAKER_00: You've got the housekeepers and the nannies and whatever other he had his house managers.
- 38:40SPEAKER_00: So he's always got a busy household and just working and living at home.
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: And now he's more like in a stable house, but before he was always just moving, like the house he was in was pretty much always for sale.
- 38:54SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 38:55SPEAKER_00: He would buy a new house, he'd renovate one house, move into it, sell it.
- 38:58SPEAKER_00: It was so yeah.
- 38:59SPEAKER_00: So there, and he's always bought his staff lunch, which is kind of a control thing for him.
- 39:03SPEAKER_03: And he even admits it.
- 39:04SPEAKER_03: He said, Look, I've learned, you know, if you give them 30 minutes for lunch, they go out to lunch.
- 39:09SPEAKER_03: That 30 minutes becomes 60 minutes, becomes 90 minutes.
- 39:12SPEAKER_03: If you keep them here, you can limit that to a 30-minute lunch and have a conversation over lunch.
- 39:16SPEAKER_03: And I actually think it's a great concept.
- 39:19SPEAKER_03: I think it does build camaraderie and and do all that.
- 39:22SPEAKER_03: There's so many eating is a social thing.
- 39:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so many conversations that happen over a meal.
- 39:28SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 39:28SPEAKER_03: That if you're just gonna send everybody on their own to do lunch, you miss out on those credible bonding moments.
- 39:35SPEAKER_00: So it is pretty good.
- 39:35SPEAKER_00: And at the radio show, he does the same thing, like he offers the guests like, do you want us to get you a coffee or a bagel or something before?
- 39:41SPEAKER_00: So he's he that's a big thing for him.
- 39:44SPEAKER_00: So in the first episode was when all the stuff starts to blow up with Joey Zalzig, and um, and now no one has talked to Joey since the birthday.
- 39:54SPEAKER_00: So Jeff is going, um, Joey meets up with Jeff.
- 39:57SPEAKER_00: Well, remember, Joey stormed out of the birthday party.
- 40:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 40:01SPEAKER_03: Because they were getting after him and telling him he had a problem.
- 40:03SPEAKER_03: He's like, I don't need to hear this, and just stormed out.
- 40:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 40:06SPEAKER_03: Which to me, I think it's probably typical Joey behavior to not deal with it and just storm off.
- 40:12SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 40:13SPEAKER_03: You I haven't been watching, but that that's the feeling I get is that that's probably typical Joey behavior, just to not want to deal with it.
- 40:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and within the confines of the show, that's where we are now, is that he had this big problem with everyone, and now they're trying to see where they can go from here.
- 40:27SPEAKER_03: So they get together to talk about Joey's behavior.
- 40:29SPEAKER_03: I thought Jeff handled it really well.
- 40:31SPEAKER_03: Jeff was very just very diplomatic about it, I felt like he didn't attack him.
- 40:37SPEAKER_03: He just said, look, you know, I'm concerned.
- 40:40SPEAKER_03: This is it was kind of his last effort to try and talk some sense into him.
- 40:44SPEAKER_03: Um, but he flat out told Joey, look, I don't feel like I can rely on you at live events because you've got a problem.
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and he definitely sorry work from home.
- 40:57SPEAKER_00: And he definitely um, he definitely does.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: Jeff, you can tell that Jeff cares for him because he's not just trying to cut him off completely, he's trying to give him a chance.
- 41:06SPEAKER_00: But he, you know, he like Jeff says, he enjoys the fun Joey.
- 41:10SPEAKER_00: He does not like the Joey when he can't control himself, when he's drinking too much.
- 41:15SPEAKER_00: Um, and he says that looking back at all the different lives of live events, there's always been something, whether it was Chump Con a couple years ago or any of the other or the theater or something that he and he told Joey, he said, Look, I I can't risk having you storm out of an event again.
- 41:30SPEAKER_03: It's too much.
- 41:31SPEAKER_00: And he told him he said that j that Joey even like got drunk and hooked up, he went out and party and hooked up with a listener in Arizona when they had a live event in Arizona.
- 41:41SPEAKER_03: I mean, come on.
- 41:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 41:45SPEAKER_03: So we also told him that he was putting him on notice, though.
- 41:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 41:50SPEAKER_03: Which is kind of the final straw.
- 41:51SPEAKER_03: Like, if you're on notice, I'm not gonna let you do live events.
- 41:53SPEAKER_03: You can do radio still because we love you and we love your personality, but I can't have you at a live event.
- 41:58SPEAKER_00: And Joey's been a chump from the beginning and all this stuff, and he was a staple there, but Jeff definitely wants to talk some sense into him.
- 42:06SPEAKER_00: I was really surprised that Joey brought up the thing about he and Jeff kissing.
- 42:12SPEAKER_00: Joey can't get past that for whatever reason.
- 42:14SPEAKER_00: Well, Joey clearly has a thing for Jeff.
- 42:17SPEAKER_00: I think that Joey, that there was a time when Joey thought that there was some chance, just like in the first episode when he says, Well, we're not off the table, and they're like, and Jeff's like, Yes, we're off the table.
- 42:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 42:30SPEAKER_00: And I really don't think that even if something happened with Ty and Jeff, that Jeff and Joey are gonna get together.
- 42:37SPEAKER_00: Joey's too much of a loose canon.
- 42:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 42:39SPEAKER_03: And I think that that Joey definitely, you know, probably has to have a conversation with Jeff without flirting with him.
- 42:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 42:47SPEAKER_03: And Jeff called him out on it.
- 42:49SPEAKER_03: He said, he says, you know, I find it disrespectful.
- 42:51SPEAKER_03: You have zero respect for the fact that I have a relationship already.
- 42:54SPEAKER_03: That I'm in a relationship.
- 42:56SPEAKER_03: Joey's Joey just kind of blows it off.
- 42:58SPEAKER_03: He's like, Oh, well, I'm a flirt.
- 43:00SPEAKER_00: Do you think that's an excuse?
- 43:01SPEAKER_00: It's probably an excuse.
- 43:02SPEAKER_00: He is a flirt.
- 43:03SPEAKER_00: He's flirtatious, probably with men and women, but I do think that Joey had more feelings for Jeff than vice versa.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: And that's, you know, kind of an issue.
- 43:13SPEAKER_03: And Joey kept asking me, he's like, well, like, where do we stand?
- 43:17SPEAKER_03: Did you catch that?
- 43:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 43:19SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, is there more meaning?
- 43:20SPEAKER_00: Did he mean like just the friendship and the working thing?
- 43:23SPEAKER_00: Or does he working in front of the to me?
- 43:26SPEAKER_03: I felt like it was weird.
- 43:27SPEAKER_03: Like he he approached it like they were dating or something.
- 43:31SPEAKER_03: Like he just can't get past the fact that they kissed.
- 43:33SPEAKER_03: And I just thought it was weird.
- 43:34SPEAKER_03: And I thought Jeff was being very reasonable about it.
- 43:37SPEAKER_03: And Joey's just immature and disrespectful.
- 43:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 43:40SPEAKER_00: So he's kind of in limbo, but Jeff does tell him he's fired from the live events.
- 43:44SPEAKER_00: And then Joey even wants to hug him at the end.
- 43:47SPEAKER_00: And Jeff won't do it.
- 43:48SPEAKER_00: And Jeff, yeah.
- 43:50SPEAKER_00: Jeff's like, um, just do it real quick.
- 43:52SPEAKER_00: Like, don't be inappropriate and don't make it weird.
- 43:55SPEAKER_00: But he made it weird anyway.
- 43:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 43:57SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 43:58SPEAKER_03: Oh, I I think, I think Jeff's handling it great.
- 44:01SPEAKER_00: Joey just needs to Joey needs a reality check it's like.
- 44:06SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 44:07SPEAKER_00: So then they're back at the house and they're having lunch, one of those famous work lunches.
- 44:12SPEAKER_00: And so now they all want to debrief because everybody was already dying to talk about what was going on with Joey, but Jeff was sick.
- 44:19SPEAKER_00: So now they can to ask him, and he tells them all that he will not be being asked back to the live show.
- 44:25SPEAKER_00: Um, and that it's gonna take time for Jeff to see if Joey can change.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: Um, so so they all kind of talk about that.
- 44:34SPEAKER_03: But so I think that's how the whole season's gonna unfold.
- 44:37SPEAKER_03: It's gonna be kind of the Joey story.
- 44:38SPEAKER_03: Of if whether or not Joey can change.
- 44:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 44:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 44:43SPEAKER_00: So then they're back at work and they're putting together that Valentine's show.
- 44:48SPEAKER_00: Because again, with Jeff.
- 44:50SPEAKER_03: They're trying to find some show to fill in the gap when there's a holiday and Sirius won't let them.
- 44:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because it's going to be President's Day, right?
- 44:58SPEAKER_00: President's Day.
- 44:59SPEAKER_00: And Valentine's Day is like the weekend before or something.
- 45:02SPEAKER_00: So they don't get paid if their show is not there.
- 45:04SPEAKER_00: So they're brainstorming with ideas and um and then they're talking about Annie taking on more responsibility.
- 45:12SPEAKER_00: Keen's talking about how he's a producer.
- 45:15SPEAKER_00: So I'm curious to you, like when they're talking about all that, are you able to follow along with that, even though you're not a listener of the show?
- 45:20SPEAKER_03: For the most part.
- 45:21SPEAKER_03: I mean, I'm putting the pieces together on how everyone fits into the well, it's interesting the chumps that he's gathered together.
- 45:28SPEAKER_03: It is like the most random group of misfits I've ever seen.
- 45:32SPEAKER_03: They're all unique in their own way.
- 45:34SPEAKER_03: I never would have put them all together as a group, but they work.
- 45:37SPEAKER_00: So you mean like the staff that works that we see at the house, like Justin and Keen?
- 45:41SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 45:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it is it is interesting.
- 45:43SPEAKER_00: It's just a random group of the somehow it works.
- 45:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 45:48SPEAKER_00: And so they're talking about they're gonna have this chump social, a chump social event, and he's letting Joey come.
- 45:54SPEAKER_00: They talk about um how people come to the events and they're all out, and that's a big way that they get content.
- 46:00SPEAKER_00: Because as someone who listens to the show, I can say that yes, like when that happens, then we get to hear about it on the show, like how everything went.
- 46:08SPEAKER_03: And Jeff even says he says it's important to do these mixers because it keeps everyone together to make for a better show.
- 46:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 46:15SPEAKER_00: And so Joey, um, oh so then, like, as we're going through, um, then oh, the next thing that happens is Kim is going to Kim Whitley's house.
- 46:26SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 46:28SPEAKER_00: And see, this is where if you follow, if you lit watch Jeff before, you would know as soon as you see that that would make Jeff Jeff is definitely like a minimalist.
- 46:36SPEAKER_00: He doesn't like hoarding or too much stuff around.
- 46:39SPEAKER_00: He would die if he walked into my house.
- 46:42SPEAKER_03: He would absolutely die.
- 46:44SPEAKER_03: I wish he would come to my house and just go, this is gone, this is gone, just gone.
- 46:48SPEAKER_03: You are not bad.
- 46:48SPEAKER_03: You are not.
- 46:49SPEAKER_00: My dream is to have someone just drop off a dumpster in my driveway for a week and let me just unload.
- 46:54SPEAKER_00: It is like I had a dumpster when we were redoing our house, and it is really convenient because you're like, I gotta get rid of some of this stuff.
- 47:01SPEAKER_00: And then when you have to have stuff out to do remodeling, it makes you just go through.
- 47:05SPEAKER_00: And well, we all have too much stuff.
- 47:07SPEAKER_00: It's just human nature.
- 47:08SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 47:09SPEAKER_00: We love minding more stuff and we get rid of stuff.
- 47:11SPEAKER_00: So I kind of felt bad for Kim, but did you see how her like I don't know if that's like her coworkers, like some of her staff or her people, they were like loving that Jeff was telling her that she needed to get it.
- 47:23SPEAKER_03: And I don't, I mean, obviously, I'm new to Jeff Lewis, but you could tell that it was taking everything in him to hold back and not just go off on her.
- 47:32SPEAKER_03: Because I I get that he's probably well, he even admitted, he's like, I still flip out, and I could just see like old Jeff, which I'm gonna have to go back and watch.
- 47:41SPEAKER_03: Just going nuts on her.
- 47:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he um he was very comp like, very low-key compared to what how he can be.
- 47:49SPEAKER_00: And when he told her, like it would have been better off if your house burnt down, I was like, Oh my god, Jeff, that is awful.
- 47:55SPEAKER_00: That is so mean.
- 47:56SPEAKER_00: Like it was so it was so funny, but I knew that he was gonna be that way over.
- 48:01SPEAKER_00: Oh, well, he just kept using words like this is atrocious, it's chaos.
- 48:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he he would not be would not be liking that.
- 48:07SPEAKER_03: And he did tell her she's a hoarder.
- 48:09SPEAKER_03: She's not that bad of a hoarder.
- 48:11SPEAKER_00: No, she's not.
- 48:11SPEAKER_00: And the house got stuff everywhere.
- 48:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 48:14SPEAKER_00: And I hope we get to see, I hope he makes some changes and we get to see because I think the house has a lot of potential.
- 48:19SPEAKER_00: She had some really cool art, like some of her art was so cool.
- 48:22SPEAKER_00: So I hope that he helps her with that house and and and that it gets better.
- 48:27SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 48:28SPEAKER_00: Um, oh, so then they go home and Justin gets a haircut, which is another thing where Jeff, there's always like, like they joke, there's no HR, there's always boundaries.
- 48:36SPEAKER_00: Jeff just controls everything the way he wants it.
- 48:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 48:39SPEAKER_00: He's like, he has that girl that comes to his house, he talks about on the radio show, that give the haircuts.
- 48:44SPEAKER_00: So again, he's very generous and he'll like just pay for everybody's haircuts because he's like, Well, I'm paying for her to come anyway, and then it actually ends up being a better use of the time and money for everyone just to get their hair cut.
- 48:56SPEAKER_00: So funny.
- 48:57SPEAKER_00: So his what do you think?
- 48:59SPEAKER_00: I th Justin's hair did look good.
- 49:00SPEAKER_00: It looks so much better.
- 49:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 49:02SPEAKER_03: And even just in one of the confessional things, he's like, that was kind of my Moses days.
- 49:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 49:09SPEAKER_03: Oh.
- 49:09SPEAKER_03: It looked a lot better.
- 49:11SPEAKER_03: Right?
- 49:11SPEAKER_03: He looks just much more, he looks much more the part to be out representing Jeff.
- 49:16SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 49:16SPEAKER_00: So that was good.
- 49:17SPEAKER_00: So you could see how he wants to provide that.
- 49:19SPEAKER_00: So then Joey goes back on the radio and says he's gonna be Joey 2.0.
- 49:23SPEAKER_00: So do we believe Joey that he can be like Joey 2.0?
- 49:27SPEAKER_03: Well, let's give a shout out to our girl Meredith Marks that showed up on the show too.
- 49:30SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 49:31SPEAKER_03: That was fun.
- 49:31SPEAKER_03: I was not expecting that.
- 49:33SPEAKER_03: Yes, she's on there a lot.
- 49:34SPEAKER_03: And she even Lisa he commented about the Joey 2.0.
- 49:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 49:39SPEAKER_00: Gave her two cents about it.
- 49:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because somehow she and Joey, I think, have actually known each other and been friends.
- 49:46SPEAKER_00: That's what's so weird about what an intertwined world it is.
- 49:49SPEAKER_00: Because I believe on the radio show they have talked about the fact that they were already somehow friends before even being on.
- 49:55SPEAKER_00: And maybe it's also just because they've both gone on Jeff Lewis Live for so long.
- 49:59SPEAKER_00: I see, and I don't know all that history.
- 50:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and Lisa Barlow is on there a lot too.
- 50:03SPEAKER_00: Jeff loves Lisa.
- 50:04SPEAKER_00: He's definitely a team, Lisa and Mary.
- 50:06SPEAKER_00: He loves them.
- 50:07SPEAKER_00: He loves them.
- 50:09SPEAKER_00: So then they talk about the chump mixers again, and they also bring up the point that not only is it good content, but then they can kind of see the different chumps interacting because every week they're pairing different people together to be on the show together, like whether it's Meredith and Joey or you know, Mercedes and um and oh my god, I just had a brain freeze.
- 50:29SPEAKER_03: My thought from like the mixer.
- 50:33SPEAKER_03: Joey's messy.
- 50:34SPEAKER_03: He's just messy.
- 50:35SPEAKER_03: He needs to get out of his own way.
- 50:37SPEAKER_03: If Joey could get out of his own way, he would be so much better off.
- 50:41SPEAKER_03: And Jeff would leave him alone.
- 50:43SPEAKER_00: And it was funny because Joey even said that he knew that there was going to be eyes on him at the mixer, and he's trying not to be a messy bitch, but then he exactly goes-you and makes Crystal cry.
- 50:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 50:55SPEAKER_00: It's crazy because Jeff says the events keep everybody close um together, and they, you know, it's a group of people, and then it makes the shows, the shows better.
- 51:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 51:05SPEAKER_00: Um, so like you said, go.
- 51:07SPEAKER_00: So what do you think when you Joey's gonna be able to do it?
- 51:08SPEAKER_03: Well, also before they had the mixer, um, Jeff had kind of given Ty a heads up about Joey and just been like, look, just heads up.
- 51:16SPEAKER_03: Thank goodness, right?
- 51:20SPEAKER_03: And sure enough, Joey can't let himself not say something.
- 51:26SPEAKER_00: Nope, because Jeff has already set these boundaries.
- 51:29SPEAKER_00: He t he's telling tells Joey that he has the opportunity to show him that he's professional, that you're not gonna overindulge and like prove to everybody how you can act.
- 51:38SPEAKER_00: Um, Joey doesn't know ahead of time that Jeff told Ty everything.
- 51:44SPEAKER_00: No, he knows none none of that.
- 51:45SPEAKER_00: Yet he goes up to Ty and just word vomits.
- 51:50SPEAKER_00: It's so bizarre.
- 51:53SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 51:53SPEAKER_00: Like, what if Jeff had not said anything to him?
- 51:56SPEAKER_00: I think Ty could have handled it.
- 51:58SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Ty.
- 51:59SPEAKER_03: I feel like Ty's confident enough, he's secure enough in their relationship.
- 52:02SPEAKER_03: I feel like he could have handled it.
- 52:04SPEAKER_03: But it was a good thing that Jeff gave him a heads up.
- 52:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 52:08SPEAKER_00: And Jeff did not react well, Jeff was not happy about it.
- 52:11SPEAKER_00: And I do know Joey was actually on radio again um uh today, and he he actually said, like, Jeff basically was was like, Well, what if I hadn't told Ty?
- 52:24SPEAKER_00: But it all worked out, and he and Todd, like, you know, but it's it would not have been good.
- 52:29SPEAKER_00: So then Crystal and Joey sit down, and Crystal had our like she seemed genuinely happy to introduce Joey to her husband Rob Minkhoff, which by the way, do you know what?
- 52:39SPEAKER_00: I always love this because do you Rob Minkoff, Crystal's husband, was the director of the Lion King movie, and so he's like he's a big animator and all that stuff, and I love them together.
- 52:51SPEAKER_00: I'm a huge Crystal fan.
- 52:52SPEAKER_00: But what did you think when they sat down?
- 52:55SPEAKER_00: Oh, Joey's just not nice.
- 52:58SPEAKER_00: Crystal has been.
- 53:03SPEAKER_00: That was such a mistake.
- 53:04SPEAKER_00: Crystal has been such a good friend to him, and Crystal was genuinely hurt.
- 53:10SPEAKER_03: I thought Joey makes everything a competition.
- 53:12SPEAKER_03: Like he's competing for everyone's attention and for to be the number one with that person.
- 53:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I did think it's so sad because Joey, I I put down Joey was acting like a teenage girl.
- 53:24SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 53:25SPEAKER_00: He's just jealous.
- 53:26SPEAKER_00: He's jealous that she's giving Jeff a brand deal and that he's not, you know.
- 53:31SPEAKER_00: And it did make, if I was Crystal, I don't blame her.
- 53:33SPEAKER_00: I like what she said.
- 53:34SPEAKER_00: I'd feel like he's not worried about the friendship.
- 53:36SPEAKER_00: He's worried about the brand deals.
- 53:37SPEAKER_00: But this is the problem.
- 53:39SPEAKER_00: I think Joey is such a nice guy, but he has insecurities that he lets it be bad.
- 53:46SPEAKER_00: Like it's his worst enemy.
- 53:48SPEAKER_00: He's his own worst enemy because he's letting his insecurities do that with these people who are his genuine friends.
- 53:54SPEAKER_00: Like Crystal was a really good friend.
- 53:57SPEAKER_00: That's not Joey 2.0.
- 53:59SPEAKER_03: No, no, Joey 2.0 lasted for about 10 minutes.
- 54:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 54:04SPEAKER_03: So he's got work to do.
- 54:06SPEAKER_00: Joey needs therapy.
- 54:08SPEAKER_00: He does.
- 54:09SPEAKER_00: I'm sure he's in therapy.
- 54:10SPEAKER_00: And um, you know, she has stuck up for him so much that him sitting there and telling Crystal you're not a good friend was kind of was kind of crazy.
- 54:19SPEAKER_00: She's jet she genuinely like started to cry.
- 54:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she he she was in tears and she left early, I think, didn't she?
- 54:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she got up and left.
- 54:27SPEAKER_00: She went and got Rob and said they were leaving.
- 54:29SPEAKER_00: I think it really, it really did hurt her feelings.
- 54:31SPEAKER_00: I think it's very, very genuine.
- 54:33SPEAKER_00: And why is he worried about these brand deals?
- 54:36SPEAKER_00: It's probably stuff that's not even age appropriate for him or whatever.
- 54:39SPEAKER_00: He's got a ton of brand deals.
- 54:41SPEAKER_03: It goes back to the first episode where it was like he wanted to be the star and he's not the star.
- 54:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 54:48SPEAKER_03: Joey's got some work to do.
- 54:49SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 54:50SPEAKER_03: Joey, I'm I'm giving you some grace, but boy, you got some work to do.
- 54:54SPEAKER_00: And Jeff really almost didn't want to talk about it there.
- 54:56SPEAKER_00: They talked about it.
- 54:57SPEAKER_00: I'm sure they're gonna have to talk about it, but Jeff definitely felt disrespected by him.
- 55:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 55:03SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 55:03SPEAKER_03: Maybe we'll see a big dramatic turn where Joey gets booted for a while.
- 55:09SPEAKER_03: So we will see.
- 55:10SPEAKER_00: All right, Blake.
- 55:12SPEAKER_00: She's going back in her room.
- 55:14SPEAKER_02: Hello?
- 55:15SPEAKER_00: Hey, do you what do you think of Joey Zalzig?
- 55:18SPEAKER_02: Well, I don't love Joey, but he definitely is.
- 55:24SPEAKER_02: He is very like about himself.
- 55:27SPEAKER_02: And he wants to like he's not a good chump because chumps support each other and Joey just cares about himself.
- 55:37SPEAKER_03: Joey supports Joey.
- 55:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 55:39SPEAKER_03: That's about my assessment, too.
- 55:41SPEAKER_00: Do you think that he is like a bad person or do you think he's just immature?
- 55:44SPEAKER_02: I think he's immature.
- 55:45SPEAKER_02: I think he's immature.
- 55:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 55:47SPEAKER_00: Do you think he can change?
- 55:51SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 55:52SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 55:53SPEAKER_02: I mean Jeff has hold on like so many times.
- 55:57SPEAKER_02: I feel like like that what he does is not okay.
- 56:01SPEAKER_00: Do you predict that he will be unchumped or that he will stay in the chump verse?
- 56:09SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 56:11SPEAKER_02: I have to go get Sydney.
- 56:12SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 56:15SPEAKER_00: That's her way of buying out of making the final ruling.
- 56:17SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 56:18SPEAKER_00: It'd be a terrible judge.
- 56:20SPEAKER_00: So there you have it, straight from the daughter.
- 56:24SPEAKER_00: And it'll be great.
