[SPEAKER_01]: Hello and welcome back to your one and only source.
0:04
[SPEAKER_01]: We are your hosts.
0:05
[SPEAKER_01]: My name is Phoebe.
0:07
[SPEAKER_01]: My name is Caroline and today we are recapping gossip girl season two episode 17 called Cornel knowledge.
0:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Colonel.
0:16
[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of say I kind of love the word.
0:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Colonel.
0:21
[SPEAKER_01]: It is a really good word.
0:22
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like
0:23
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like I like saying it.
0:25
[SPEAKER_01]: I like spelling it.
0:26
[SPEAKER_01]: I also like what it means.
0:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, like which what does it mean?
0:30
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's like what it means, but what's that exactly?
0:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Isn't it like?
0:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to do something crazy and look, look it up.
0:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like sometimes there are just words where it's like, I couldn't define it, but I know how to use it.
0:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I know what it feels like.
0:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
0:47
[SPEAKER_01]: And that is, I think what Carnal is.
0:49
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's like something you like feel a lot.
0:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Because I think sometimes, it's making me think, and I can't.
0:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I might be thinking of a buck and all in the secret history,
1:03
[SPEAKER_01]: by dominole, a bachanol, bachanol, and there's a bachanol, no, well that is what you said, but it's not what you meant on your side, whatever.
1:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, Carnal, Carnal is an adjective meaning of or relating to the physical body, flesh, or material world, rather than the spiritual or intellectual side of a person.
1:25
[SPEAKER_01]: So we nailed it.
1:27
[SPEAKER_00]: So this is about, this is about freaking sex.
1:29
[SPEAKER_00]: This is about freaking human attraction.
1:31
[SPEAKER_01]: The body wants what it wants, okay?
1:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, okay.
1:34
[SPEAKER_01]: This is about the brain knows it's a game.
1:36
[SPEAKER_01]: The body doesn't.
1:37
[SPEAKER_00]: This is easier for next week's traders.
1:40
[SPEAKER_00]: This is maybe the earliest Caroline and I have recorded in a minute.
1:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, in a long time.
1:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm a little and I was up.
1:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Malm, if you're listening to this, can you turn on this off really quick?
1:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
1:55
[SPEAKER_01]: I was up till four in the morning finishing my shirt for this week because I got home on Tuesday and I was like okay one day to like make this shirt and I initially I was like gonna do Clyde in the coffin like that's what like when I watched it with them we were all sort of talking about that but I just something full so wrong about it
2:24
[SPEAKER_00]: on Tuesday.
2:25
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that you felt like it was like, yeah, I didn't want to like I just put that moment on it.
2:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
2:31
[SPEAKER_01]: I know that it was like traumatic for him.
2:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
2:33
[SPEAKER_01]: So I was just like, I don't really want to like, whatever.
2:37
[SPEAKER_01]: And then I just like kind of think of a brilliant idea.
2:40
[SPEAKER_01]: And so then I was like, all right, well, like, let me try to go the funny route.
2:43
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, what, what do I know?
2:44
[SPEAKER_01]: What information do I know?
2:47
[SPEAKER_01]: And what I do know is that Clyde and Allison de Laurentis have been a real live and they both survived.
2:55
[SPEAKER_01]: And bingo.
2:56
[SPEAKER_01]: So I decided to make a live UK inspired shirt with Clyde and Allison de Laurentis.
3:01
[SPEAKER_01]: And it says only bad bitches get buried alive and survive.
3:06
[SPEAKER_01]: And
3:07
[SPEAKER_01]: But then when I printed it, it printed mirrored, which I did not want.
3:11
[SPEAKER_01]: And so I, and then I ran out of the paper I needed.
3:14
[SPEAKER_01]: So I decided instead to use a white vinyl for bad bitches and then bedazzle it.
3:20
[SPEAKER_01]: And the bedazzling stretched into the wee hours of the morning.
3:26
[SPEAKER_01]: But I just was determined to finish it.
3:28
[SPEAKER_01]: So I did.
3:29
[SPEAKER_01]: And it looks great.
3:30
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a great shirt.
3:31
[SPEAKER_01]: It's probably one of my favorites that I've made.
3:36
[SPEAKER_01]: I watched Salt Lake, real houses, Salt Lake City, and then I watched the finale of Girl's Trip again, and I watched something else too.
3:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Salt Lake, but Salt Lake's great this season and I think I really like the new girl wait and tell you watch this fucking episode You're not going to believe your eyes or ears of course.
4:04
[SPEAKER_01]: I spoil it a little bit
4:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, Bronwyn has a big party in San Francisco and everyone's annoyed because she invites her boy toy brand and to come and they're all going to like meet him whatever and Lisa's like John would have come like if this is a girl's trip like there are no boys.
4:23
[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, I feel like Lisa, Lisa just like Ramona Singer is very like appreciate the integrity of a girl's trip.
4:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, I was like harking back to Rooney when when they got so mad about that the first time.
4:37
[SPEAKER_01]: So, any who, um, they're at this party and it's all of Bronwyn's, like, friends from when she lived in San Francisco, and whatever, and Lisa and Marriott are being, uh, Pitchie, and wait is this when they do the song?
4:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
4:59
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not like, can I please just say what happens?
5:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Fine.
5:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I mean, don't worry.
5:06
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not gonna take away the moment for you.
5:08
[SPEAKER_01]: They do the song live at this party and they don't tell Brown when they're doing it.
5:14
[SPEAKER_01]: And they like connect to the sound system and perform what is it bullshit and what?
5:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Palkersy, my hypocrisy and bullshit.
5:22
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like at Brownman.
5:25
[SPEAKER_01]: And none of the girls can believe it.
5:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Like all of the girls were like, they're like reaches over and like holds Bronnman's hand, Bronnman's like crying.
5:34
[SPEAKER_01]: They're like, this is so mean.
5:35
[SPEAKER_01]: This is like so uncool, whatever.
5:38
[SPEAKER_01]: So then afterwards, Bronnman goes up there and she goes, hey, I would love it so much if you get the fuck out and leave.
5:45
[SPEAKER_01]: And she kicks them out of the party and does like get the fuck out.
5:49
[SPEAKER_01]: And they go to leave and then Bronnman's like, okay, you know what?
5:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Like parties back on and then we hear,
5:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's do it again, and they get back on the fucking Mike and do it again, and everyone flips out.
6:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Whitney's like, can we cut this sound?
6:04
[SPEAKER_01]: We cut this on Brown and Leaves the her own party.
6:07
[SPEAKER_01]: She's crying.
6:08
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, this is so fucked up.
6:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Like they literally go back and do it again after they were kicked out of the party.
6:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I, my jaw dropped.
6:16
[SPEAKER_01]: I couldn't believe what I was hearing when I heard that they started doing it again.
6:25
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't believe it's for it's at all the women, not just to Bronwyn, but it's like also like it just was so crazy.
6:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry, like I just know that even though that's objectively, I mean, thing to do after I watch it, I'll probably still be on their side.
6:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, I'm I know you like Bronwyn, I just don't have the allegiance to her that you have.
6:52
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, I mean, I like her.
6:54
[SPEAKER_01]: I also love Meredith and Lisa.
6:57
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that, like, honestly, in Salt Lake, I have no sides.
7:01
[SPEAKER_01]: The only side I am on is like, I don't like Whitney.
7:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
7:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Which I don't, I hate Whitney.
7:07
[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, I am firmly on the Meredith and Lisa side in most fights.
7:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
7:13
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's always where I start.
7:14
[SPEAKER_00]: And then I have to kind of,
7:16
[SPEAKER_00]: value.
7:17
[SPEAKER_01]: It's also like they're so bad, like they do this song and it's like a brutal watch and listen.
7:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Like they have dance moves they've rehearsed.
7:27
[SPEAKER_01]: And like this is planned.
7:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, they had been practicing it like in their rooms and they also wrote the song on the trap and they wrote this song in quotes.
7:38
[SPEAKER_01]: And they're like a hypocrisy and bullshit.
7:47
[SPEAKER_01]: And like that's like, and then like point at Bronwyn when they say portrayal or something and it's just like And then they're like doing this.
7:55
[SPEAKER_01]: They're like, okay, ready for the dance and they like do this little dance and it's like What am I watching?
7:59
[SPEAKER_01]: What is happening here and they're like weird.
8:02
[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't have a single ounce of rhythm and her entire body.
8:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's it's just so
8:09
[SPEAKER_01]: crazy and like Lisa really believes though that she has like got something no I know which is which is also why it's like how can I root against her she's just incredible she's a phenomenon she is like I don't know how she's real I don't the thing about her is that place or in any environment any sort of like growing up
8:39
[SPEAKER_00]: maybe not Heather Whitney if they had been given like a more conventional upbringing they and they weren't living in Salt Lake in in this ecosystem now.
8:50
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they would be relatively normal.
8:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Forty I probably even married maybe, but I think Meredith has just something about her that is somewhere going on.
9:01
[SPEAKER_00]: There's something there's something up there and a good way and it's like
9:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Mary Cosby is Mary Cosby.
9:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Mary Cosby, there's no, yeah.
9:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Mary Cosby, like, you know, I do believe there's something about her.
9:16
[SPEAKER_00]: She was anointed by God for something.
9:19
[SPEAKER_01]: For some, I don't know exactly if it's what she thinks she was anointed by God for.
9:23
[SPEAKER_00]: But he, he definitely put his stamp on her before she was born.
9:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he put his seal of approval on my house.
9:31
[SPEAKER_00]: And this one is one to watch.
9:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
9:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
9:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so, um, any hill.
9:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's okay.
9:43
[SPEAKER_00]: We are recapping Cornel knowledge today.
9:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Is this, I know it's not because the end of the episode, but I was literally like fingers crossed, chose cross.
9:53
[SPEAKER_00]: That this would be the last time we ever had to see Miss Carr.
9:55
[SPEAKER_00]: You wish.
9:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I also want one more episode.
9:58
[SPEAKER_00]: This is just one thing I wanted to also say about Miss Carr and like the whole situation here.
10:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, doing Rachel.
10:04
[SPEAKER_00]: That's exactly what I was going to say.
10:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, Dan, if you don't want your dad to think you're fucking your teacher, every time he says Ms. Carter, you know, that this rumor is out.
10:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't then basically like, saw like a remton by being like, well, Rachel, it's like, okay, if that's like when Arya is doing the play, and she says, uh, as her, could you
10:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, sorry, I mean, I'm a Mr. surface.
10:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Is that your last name?
10:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, or like, when she goes to the hospital where Hannah has is recovering from just being hit by a car.
10:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and everybody finds out that.
10:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, where was Arya, what you got hit by the car?
10:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Making out with her teacher.
10:43
[SPEAKER_00]: And she's like, look, Ezra and I and Spencer goes, Ezra, that's how it feels when, like, it's Dan and Serena, it's her.
10:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Ezra is.
10:52
[SPEAKER_00]: We are the caller Rachel and it's me that she's asking you to so I just want to say I don't care that you didn't sleep with Dan before this.
11:00
[SPEAKER_00]: The behavior was inappropriate Blair was right.
11:04
[SPEAKER_00]: I just yeah, it doesn't I do think Mary K. Laterno might have been a bit of a jump But yeah, do you think
11:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Blair is like getting a little too much heat because if I was so happy between a student and a teacher, I would be Look, just I would be disturbed.
11:22
[SPEAKER_01]: But Blair said when you know, you know, and I know that something is a mess.
11:26
[SPEAKER_01]: There's something going on here.
11:28
[SPEAKER_01]: She said
11:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Suddenly, I can't smell the Brooklyn water on that man anymore.
11:33
[SPEAKER_01]: And I smell sex.
11:34
[SPEAKER_01]: So I know it's really not giving it up right now.
11:37
[SPEAKER_01]: And like, hey, Dan, yeah, let's be real, Dan, you fucking loved it.
11:42
[SPEAKER_01]: So I put it on gossip girl.
11:44
[SPEAKER_01]: You didn't have to.
11:45
[SPEAKER_01]: You loved it.
11:46
[SPEAKER_00]: When Serena, there's this scene with, well, obviously, got there.
11:49
[SPEAKER_00]: But with Serena, Ms. Carr, I don't want to call her Rachel, because it kind of gives me the PBGBs.
11:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Serena, Ms. Carr, are walking in
11:57
[SPEAKER_00]: and she's explaining what gossip girl is and she's like it's a girl who posts about gossip or guy we don't really know i guess it could be either and it's just moments like that it is like it takes you when you know that Dan is gossip girl yeah takes you out of your body for a second to be like wait Dan you did post that
12:17
[SPEAKER_01]: You've literally posted it because you love it.
12:21
[SPEAKER_01]: You actually love like all it's like with the Georgina thing.
12:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, at the end of the day, he's all he ever has wanted is to not be lonely boy and to be on the fucking map.
12:32
[SPEAKER_01]: That's why you start a gossip girl.
12:33
[SPEAKER_01]: That's why you wanted to be a Serena.
12:35
[SPEAKER_01]: That's why whatever you can't stay out of this world, even though you claim to hate it.
12:39
[SPEAKER_01]: And all you want us to be talked about, you want notoriety, just to admit that.
12:43
[SPEAKER_01]: Like you're so jealous of these people who are born into it.
12:47
[SPEAKER_01]: that you would make it for yourself and that is who you are and I don't care the argument that people were like, well, no one knew that he was going to be gossip girl.
12:55
[SPEAKER_01]: We did.
12:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Now we're operating.
12:57
[SPEAKER_01]: We know he's been gossip girl the whole time because they've made that can and they've made that truth that he is gossip girl.
13:03
[SPEAKER_01]: So watching this season like the show through that lens is just like.
13:07
[SPEAKER_00]: It makes it more interesting to be honest because it is like it's interesting to be able to buckle can one person really of things, but it's also fascinating to me like how I wonder and again like I know like just Kevin said they they didn't write it this way, but I do if we're if we are thinking about it like he is gospel.
13:29
[SPEAKER_00]: And he's having these discussions with Miss Carr, like, oh, these kids, I hate these, like they're, they're kind of bonding about how ridiculous these kids are.
13:37
[SPEAKER_00]: And like, Dan, if you compartmentalized how obsessed you are with them, or are you just a liar?
13:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Because you're, you want to be them so badly, you like them.
13:47
[SPEAKER_00]: And also they're friends, and you like, you still like the cloud you get by saying like they don't take the subway.
13:54
[SPEAKER_00]: They like, right, do we know those things that your whole stick that you've had since, you know what I'm minding me of.
14:00
[SPEAKER_01]: what it's reminded me of Michael Flitz article about the trader say like you are so mad that you didn't stay in the cool club which is called being on the show and so now it's like well I hated them anyway you know it's like you're going to take every just yes yes yes like say something about them but like the truth is the matter as if you had gotten to stay on the show like you would have the same shit or you like whatever it's also but Dan it's like
14:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder if part of it is a protectionist thing, or he's like, if I say this stuff about them, like if I'm already saying that I don't like them and they do something that hurts my feelings, it's like, well, I never liked them anyway, and I knew that they were the ones.
14:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, exactly.
14:46
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so this is, we pick up exactly after the opera, and like not the morning after, but like the opera happened last night, and Blair is in central park.
14:58
[SPEAKER_00]: picking up trash.
14:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, okay.
15:01
[SPEAKER_00]: That's her.
15:02
[SPEAKER_00]: That's her assignment.
15:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Her assignment.
15:04
[SPEAKER_00]: She is.
15:04
[SPEAKER_01]: She is.
15:06
[SPEAKER_00]: If anyone asks, Blair is in Central Park, picking up her.
15:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
15:11
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's just a bad anyone asks.
15:14
[SPEAKER_00]: But she's just going to help from a really generous housemate.
15:18
[SPEAKER_01]: She's getting help from someone because it's a big job.
15:21
[SPEAKER_01]: And she wants to do it right.
15:22
[SPEAKER_01]: She wants to throw exactly.
15:23
[SPEAKER_01]: She said I'm going to use the resources that I have.
15:26
[SPEAKER_01]: to do to better the community.
15:28
[SPEAKER_01]: And that is she's making Gerota pick up every piece of trash.
15:32
[SPEAKER_01]: And but you know, she is monitoring Gerota very closely.
15:35
[SPEAKER_01]: She wants Gerota to do a good job.
15:36
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, I'm not putting my name on Shawty work.
15:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Do you?
15:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, pick that shit up and be precise.
15:44
[SPEAKER_01]: So Blair's on the phone with Serena and Serena is literally like, so fucking annoying.
15:50
[SPEAKER_01]: She goes, she's like, Blair, I mean, like, this is your, this is your, you have community service, or you're at an end because it's your own fall and like just so you know Rachel is the only teacher who's ever taken me seriously and like she really gets me and then she goes, is that weird?
16:07
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, you also want to say something about Serena's outfit.
16:12
[SPEAKER_00]: I know, I don't even really notice.
16:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Look, it's because she's just in her uniform.
16:16
[SPEAKER_00]: However, she's never tie on yet the shirt that she's wearing.
16:22
[SPEAKER_00]: is see through and skin tight.
16:25
[SPEAKER_00]: And it pushes up her boobs in a way where I'm like, I don't even think she's wearing a bra.
16:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I actually need you to go back and look at it because I was like, wait, is that what that?
16:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I need you to go back and look at the screen as boobs.
16:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I just need you to see what I saw because obviously she wears it the longer like kind of fitted white button down a long yeah, but this I was like wait that's like
16:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, when she put the tie on, she's like, I'm going to put the tie on, that's going to like cover everything up.
16:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, that's what she thinks.
17:01
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, that's, I'm going to put the tie on and then people will just look at that.
17:05
[SPEAKER_01]: It'll be nestled right between my movies, which are completely visible through my shirt and everyone will just look at the tie.
17:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, hey, my eyes are up here, Matt got all right.
17:16
[SPEAKER_01]: I got it.
17:16
[SPEAKER_01]: I got it.
17:17
[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
17:17
[SPEAKER_00]: You Rachel.
17:17
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, really this car.
17:19
[SPEAKER_00]: I got this.
17:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Rachel Rachel because I am so sick of peeing constantly, objectified, I feel about what I'm saying.
17:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so we also find out about Serena and Dan really haven't talked all week.
17:34
[SPEAKER_01]: There goes, hmm, they say conversation is the first thing to go.
17:39
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just like, hey, Dan, if you really want it, you would, you would work to keep it no exactly.
17:43
[SPEAKER_00]: If you have a thing, she was waiting for her to break up with them.
17:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Dan thinks having a girlfriend is just like, he just wants to be able to say, yeah, it's one.
17:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
17:52
[SPEAKER_01]: And he wants it to be sweet.
17:53
[SPEAKER_01]: But like, I'm like, in Dan's mind, he's like, what's the only thing cooler than dating Serena Van der Woodson?
17:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Great job, you know what Serena?
18:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, not like having her as an ex, you know, who, like, can't get the hello for me.
18:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Laira also makes a funny comment about how many hours she's gotten to school without getting into tension.
18:11
[SPEAKER_00]: And I do have a question.
18:12
[SPEAKER_00]: I know Blair is a good student.
18:15
[SPEAKER_00]: And I know she's good at concealing her scheming.
18:19
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't believe that she hasn't gotten in a little bit of like with the with the sense that she pulls I am surprised this is her first bow of the tension.
18:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I wonder.
18:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's interesting.
18:33
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I feel like it's just finally caught up with her.
18:35
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
18:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe she's been on the freaking lamb.
18:38
[SPEAKER_01]: She's been at a lamb all these years, and now here we are.
18:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, so she knows where Rachel gets her breakfast, so she's gonna go bring her her essay, her kinglier essay.
18:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I know I know originally it's breakfast is crazy.
18:54
[SPEAKER_01]: So then Blair tells Dorota Srinas sympathetic to the enemy.
18:59
[SPEAKER_01]: I have to cross-draft my list of recruits.
19:01
[SPEAKER_01]: And then who do we see?
19:03
[SPEAKER_01]: But Blair's father Harold and Blair grabs the trash when Dorota quickly puts the trash gloves on.
19:08
[SPEAKER_01]: He's bringing her breakfast and he's like so proud of her and we get this shot of Dorota over his shoulder making like these like nasty eat shit looks at Blair the whole time like he's like
19:21
[SPEAKER_01]: And back and then Blair's like I just wish everyone could see me through your eyes and drew it as like I wish I could take my eyeballs out and like So Serena is real hugged by and she like grabs on to hand.
19:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I know notice that like so cute Serena makes it to Rachel's regular spot.
19:39
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess and see her sitting with none other than oh Serena's boyfriend who isn't spoken to her in a week
19:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, so you're familiar with her said no correlation and said oh, so you're from does work Yeah, oh, how'd you guys make these plans?
19:53
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like well, we actually took the subway together We've been together all morning.
19:58
[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, oh, I just know where she eats breakfast
20:01
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, oh, I'm okay.
20:03
[SPEAKER_00]: That's fair.
20:04
[SPEAKER_01]: We're both friends with her.
20:05
[SPEAKER_01]: We're both friends with Rachel.
20:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
20:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so Rachel and Dan are talking.
20:10
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, listen, I read your story.
20:12
[SPEAKER_01]: And like, if I have to, you're wrong for us and be like, I read your story today.
20:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, I'm sorry, but don't write stories.
20:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, don't write a story.
20:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so to a lot of five-year-olds anyway, so Rachel did her breakfast, and what do you recognize that we're written a short story?
20:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Caroline did not mean that.
20:34
[SPEAKER_01]: I meant it.
20:35
[SPEAKER_01]: I went to my and Addy Brown, I'm talking to you.
20:37
[SPEAKER_01]: If you, if you mean me, Caroline you should write short stories every day.
20:42
[SPEAKER_00]: When?
20:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I mean just mean like you when you pontificate.
20:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, those aren't really stories.
20:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Are there their tails?
20:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-
21:08
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's gonna get here while I'm recording and I'm gonna go get it from the door and drink it.
21:13
[SPEAKER_01]: It's so good.
21:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Where's it from?
21:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Starbucks.
21:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I haven't had thought.
21:18
[SPEAKER_01]: It's new I got in the airport and I was like, this is actually life changing.
21:23
[SPEAKER_01]: It's so fucking
21:24
[SPEAKER_00]: I do want to shut up mom and dad who went to uptown and at first I thought dad just went to uptown in the morning and he remembered finally for the first time in my whole lifetime that I like the pumpkin bread from uptown not the banana bread because it was in the box and I was like dad thanks for I love the pumpkin bread and he was like oh mom picked it I got you the banana bread.
21:48
[SPEAKER_01]: No, it was like when I was like fully gluten free, which by the way, I still should be doing that, but when I was fully gluten free and that was like always get me like, he'd like go to the store and get me like a thing of four blueberry muffins and I'd be like, yes, I'm eating them all because like I'm not like and he's like, oh, go and catch some blueberry muffins.
22:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I know it's so cute.
22:09
[SPEAKER_01]: But like, so cute though, because I actually do love blueberry muffins.
22:12
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's for me of them uptown and dad being like, no, be likes the banana bread.
22:17
[SPEAKER_00]: There was a time my life where I did like.
22:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Mom said, okay, we'll get our both.
22:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll get this for me.
22:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, this is welcome, Brad for me.
22:25
[SPEAKER_01]: This is for me in a few months.
22:27
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, because I'm allergic to bananas.
22:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Chris, Mom has a fake allergy to bananas.
22:32
[SPEAKER_01]: I was just going to love hearing that.
22:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, she's not listening anymore because they told her to stop.
22:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you're not being obedient.
22:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Which would be weird.
22:41
[SPEAKER_01]: She Rachel and Dan are connecting on on the story because he's basically writing about how hard it is to fit in and feeling like an outside and she goes, I just like really relate to you feeling like an outside.
22:51
[SPEAKER_01]: She goes, what you, you feel like an outsider, right, right, right, okay.
22:57
[SPEAKER_01]: That is unbelievable to me.
23:00
[SPEAKER_01]: And then he says that she wrote this up way like a pro.
23:02
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, wait a minute.
23:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you're going to be telling on yourself like why do also she's a living Brooklyn.
23:10
[SPEAKER_01]: She's just like Brooklyn.
23:11
[SPEAKER_01]: That's the pace of the bridge, right?
23:13
[SPEAKER_01]: So like she's not like you guys are coming from the same place.
23:17
[SPEAKER_01]: So or where are you?
23:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Where are you?
23:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm.
23:23
[SPEAKER_01]: So they're just connecting over that and then Serena walks in and guess what?
23:26
[SPEAKER_01]: She's bearded out and so am I.
23:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and Dan leaves and Dan gets up, punches her and the or punches knocks her out.
23:36
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, hey, buddy, knock to the ground.
23:38
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, ow, wait, Dan, she has a really good memory.
23:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he has moments she ever, yeah, literally it was like, we had a good acting moment and a funny actual story in a moment.
23:46
[SPEAKER_01]: And these are a few and far between someone must highlight it.
23:49
[SPEAKER_01]: She like, is like, what the fuck basically?
23:51
[SPEAKER_01]: And then she like, does it back to him?
23:53
[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, what?
23:54
[SPEAKER_01]: And he doesn't pick up on it being weird literally.
23:58
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like so bizarre and then she's like, you know what?
24:01
[SPEAKER_01]: She's about to give Rachel the essay that she came there to give her.
24:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Rachel's like, oh my God.
24:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Diana's, I don't know if you know this, Dan's a writer.
24:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, this is a good writer.
24:14
[SPEAKER_01]: He's so his story telling is like, this is this amazing Cornelia reference and his son and his, I say, he's a really fabulous writer.
24:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, I don't know if you know, and just read his a guy.
24:24
[SPEAKER_01]: No, trust me.
24:25
[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
24:25
[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to story about me.
24:27
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like who was?
24:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Who was dating Ezra who said something about his writing and Arya was like and gave him a eye nox or no.
24:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh like everyone any any student who's in his class is like oh he's really he's actually not just like a teacher he's a good writer's like yeah I'm aware I'm aware the fuck I'll be happy to know that I watched him pretty little iris as well as gone.
24:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Did you, yeah, isn't it just so good?
24:54
[SPEAKER_01]: I just like needed a comfort show to have an early seasons in the fall.
24:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was just like, you know what, like even though that show used to scare me, like, I wouldn't be like a comfort show when you're like alone in a hospital.
25:04
[SPEAKER_01]: By the way,
25:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Someone dinged on ditched.
25:07
[SPEAKER_01]: I heard about this.
25:08
[SPEAKER_01]: So you heard about this?
25:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Is there, okay, two crazy things happened to me?
25:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I was on the street.
25:13
[SPEAKER_01]: The first thing is someone dinged on ditched, but it wasn't really a dinged on.
25:16
[SPEAKER_01]: It was a knock.
25:17
[SPEAKER_01]: They knocked on the glass part of the front door.
25:19
[SPEAKER_01]: And then like ran away as fast as they could.
25:21
[SPEAKER_01]: And I happened to be sitting at the white table.
25:23
[SPEAKER_01]: So I was like right there and view.
25:25
[SPEAKER_01]: And I had just showers.
25:26
[SPEAKER_01]: I had towel on my hair.
25:28
[SPEAKER_01]: And as I'm a computer.
25:28
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like,
25:30
[SPEAKER_01]: And then they like bolted like this green and they fell over this staircase.
25:35
[SPEAKER_01]: I wish they had because like learning your lesson I was like you better not do that to the wrong house.
25:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I was saying anyway, and then I was driving home through wild dunes and somebody some kids threw something up the car and it hit my window and it was like what like it was like I don't know if it was like mud or like could you jump on that?
25:56
[SPEAKER_01]: No, you should tell her that
25:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I was just like, well, I get in trouble.
26:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so.
26:04
[SPEAKER_00]: She's on the board of our little neighborhood.
26:05
[SPEAKER_00]: So like, I know probably wasn't in our neighborhood, but like that, you know, there were a bunch of kids inside of the store.
26:13
[SPEAKER_00]: No, there's a kid that had my problems in this.
26:15
[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
26:18
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I just want to say, I just want to say when mom and dad told us that you had texted in this, or you've sent her to the family group, try to do something, I was like, oh, it's probably just a kid.
26:29
[SPEAKER_00]: And I guess there aren't kids there right now.
26:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, well, it's like fall break time.
26:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Some schools do get a fall break and they could be, and also, they're, dad was like, kids don't live in wild dunes.
26:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, that's why they're a school bus.
26:41
[SPEAKER_00]: They come through a while.
26:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, they're already, I was just like, a little nanny in wild dunes.
26:45
[SPEAKER_00]: So they're literally, I used to be jealous of those kids.
26:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but also like it was mom kept trying to like we like I bet it's like an Uber driver I'm like no mom hear me when I say this And Uber driver's not knocking on the door and then running for their lives So it feels better to know that it was a kid ding-dong kitchen then like and it was also like a short like flash Like they get wanting to make it like was it someone who's at the wrong house and like
27:10
[SPEAKER_00]: maybe but like it was a short flash of a human and it was they don't have a ring camera and on that door to be right now it was really really there are cameras though hear me when i say there are cameras on that property yeah so
27:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Are you saying that's the person who dinged on this and not just you.
27:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just like I just feel like you're not really supposed to say like there's not a ring camera.
27:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, there is.
27:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I mean, I don't like the door, the traditional like doorbell.
27:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
27:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
27:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Joe does right across the street.
27:43
[SPEAKER_01]: So mom and Joe.
27:44
[SPEAKER_00]: We asked Joe was like, I was like, don't say other stuff.
27:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Joe's got a no literally that's I was like, I was like, don't go knock on his door.
27:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't go to the drink don't get you over there baby leg.
27:53
[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna be called ding dong die and so no the thing okay the what the thing thrown on your car.
27:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I think is actually like that's that's scarier to me because I like imagine it like we're an old lady No, I did swear when I was a dark yeah, yeah, that was dangerous
28:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I like literally swear I was like so like what the fuck just happened and then I was like but I was like I'm bringing so much drama so I'm just not gonna mention it because I already mentioned the day and I'm dead and everyone was like I'm like no, I'm sorry but let's just let me just be clear if mom or Phoebe or Lily had been in that house by themselves at night and that is what happened some kid loudly knocks on the glass window like did it and then runs away as fast as they can
28:43
[SPEAKER_01]: It showed good on your spine, of course.
28:45
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like pitch black out there.
28:47
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not a place you're doing on that shirt too, so it's a step to get out there.
28:50
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not convenient, like it just was so weird.
28:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, okay, so serving the sides and not to give her the essay.
28:57
[SPEAKER_01]: And then we go to Chuck, he wakes up.
29:00
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not in a hotel, and he's having like all these really blurry memories of some nightclub and this fucking storyline, I don't love.
29:06
[SPEAKER_01]: And he has like a tattoo on his wrist, and then he's a girl remembering making out with a woman, and by the way, did you notice the it fucking insane wall art?
29:14
[SPEAKER_01]: He's got going on?
29:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, wait, it's a hotel.
29:17
[SPEAKER_01]: that's even weirder what is it there's a picture on the wall massive massive framed photo of what looks to be like a naked man like it's almost like when you're like on a steamy shower and you can just like see the silhouette as yours is a more moving this is a dark storyline and it like I it's getting out seen exactly in there's some similarities to it where
29:44
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't think we did it this time.
29:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Did we have suicide?
29:46
[SPEAKER_01]: When was he and died?
29:48
[SPEAKER_01]: When did he do his little um, his little deposition?
29:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, I don't know.
29:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Like first of all, this scene, it like watching it now, knowing what we know.
29:59
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, whoa, like it seems very,
30:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, this is saying 2016, but I do think something happened in like, like before 2010.
30:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they had to have been investigating him for a long fucking time.
30:12
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know when the rumblings may be, I mean, I'm sure I'm sure New York there were.
30:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
30:19
[SPEAKER_00]: It's honest, and when Chuck goes into the safe later, there's like literally a black book on top of the thing that he is open and I was like, is, are they literally going to, is it a black book, but then it basically is though when he opened that thing and also it is also the plot of
30:35
[SPEAKER_00]: eyes wide shot kind of.
30:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
30:38
[SPEAKER_01]: I would recommend this episode actually is like three different stories going on that I can relate it to.
30:44
[SPEAKER_01]: So that's one.
30:45
[SPEAKER_01]: And then the play the children's hour.
30:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Because there's the theme and not is like
30:52
[SPEAKER_01]: First of all, a little evil kid tells a lie about her teachers that they're having an affair and it turns into a whole thing.
30:59
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's basically this and the whole theme is like, even if you say a lie, like when you say it out loud, it becomes the truth.
31:06
[SPEAKER_01]: And then it also is giving Dolores Umbridge and Harry Potter when Rachel's having all her like no phones.
31:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
31:16
[SPEAKER_01]: you know what I mean.
31:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, especially that scene where they come in, it's like when all the things are coming.
31:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I know.
31:22
[SPEAKER_01]: And literally I love that scene.
31:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, the order of this is my least favorite book, but it is one of my favorite movies.
31:29
[SPEAKER_01]: It is so me, Clyde and David, we're sitting at the beach house and we're like, what should we watch and Clyde's actually a cherry potter and I look at David.
31:36
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like great not David.
31:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for trans folks.
31:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Perfect.
31:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Great slide.
31:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Good job.
31:41
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, that's what it's very modern anyway.
31:45
[SPEAKER_01]: We're we're showing actors who very vocally don't support.
31:49
[SPEAKER_00]: the creator of that.
31:50
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not watching the new series.
31:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
31:52
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm also not watching the new Christmas Carol with Johnny Depp.
31:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, me either.
31:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Just for multiple reasons.
32:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Her multiple.
32:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
32:02
[SPEAKER_01]: So Chuck Paul's knee.
32:04
[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to go check out.
32:05
[SPEAKER_01]: He like has found like a postcard like an address on it.
32:08
[SPEAKER_01]: And they're going to go check it out.
32:10
[SPEAKER_01]: And now we get Blair walking into school and she runs into Rachel and I like I would get physically violent with Miss car at this point the way that she's speaking of where she's like I hope that community service was really education shot up shot up Blair's like hmm yeah, no, he learned a lot
32:28
[SPEAKER_01]: And Blair walks up to the her minions and by the way, they're all in like different color like they do dress so, but I'm like, is there a uniform?
32:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Is there not, like, Brecken putting this out?
32:39
[SPEAKER_00]: We were watching.
32:39
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a cool shot where the four of them are in their like colored petty coats and then the rest of the school is in like neutral or blacks and yep.
32:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so,
32:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Rachel's there where it's like, okay, it's time for a take down on Rachel.
32:56
[SPEAKER_01]: We need to do this.
32:57
[SPEAKER_01]: And none of them want to help because they're like, listen, I'm not trying to do trash pickup.
33:02
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if I'm trying to be associated with someone is doing trash pickup.
33:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm not doing your dirty work.
33:08
[SPEAKER_01]: And.
33:09
[SPEAKER_01]: player, Nelly Yuki's to her right, sitting reading a book.
33:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Like head down in the book.
33:14
[SPEAKER_01]: She's not going to be a part of this.
33:15
[SPEAKER_01]: She's going to be implicated either way.
33:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Blair looks at her and slaps the book out of her hand and hits the ground.
33:22
[SPEAKER_01]: And then she goes on this like impassioned speech about the work they're doing and she goes, if cornflower Mary can come in here and tell us how to run things.
33:31
[SPEAKER_01]: And everything we stood for for all these years is for nothing.
33:34
[SPEAKER_01]: What we do here today, that goes through eternity.
33:36
[SPEAKER_01]: And there's like inspirational scoring behind it.
33:39
[SPEAKER_01]: And they still say no.
33:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but when she calls her cornflower Mary.
33:43
[SPEAKER_01]: So funny.
33:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that what is that reference?
33:45
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know it.
33:46
[SPEAKER_00]: But like, that's what she also calls her cornhusker later.
33:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's because she's like, she's from like Idaho, Iowa.
33:51
[SPEAKER_01]: But I didn't know that was like a thing.
33:53
[SPEAKER_01]: I was just supposed to know.
33:54
[SPEAKER_00]: The cornhuskers cornhusker state.
33:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I think is I know that.
33:58
[SPEAKER_00]: But cornflower Mary.
34:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's just a corn thing.
34:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I was just wondering if it was a reference.
34:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Let me see if corn farmer is real clear.
34:07
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not.
34:07
[SPEAKER_01]: I just looked it up.
34:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so then we get this announcement.
34:11
[SPEAKER_01]: The headmistress comes to the quad.
34:13
[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, listen, new, new edict from Dolores on the grid.
34:18
[SPEAKER_01]: It's if we get a shot of philch nailing this to the wall.
34:22
[SPEAKER_01]: And it says no phones during school hours and everyone has to like check that not only can they not have their phones They have to check them and here's the thing with this all I'm thinking about oh my god, this is adding so much trying to make me Like you know what I'm saying like getting my phone off for school.
34:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
34:39
[SPEAKER_01]: You're right.
34:40
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not getting home.
34:41
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna be late for my job if I have one.
34:43
[SPEAKER_01]: You're right
34:45
[SPEAKER_01]: You're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right
35:14
[SPEAKER_00]: We got in trouble for something.
35:15
[SPEAKER_00]: I remember why, but we had to have our phones collected in the wife of the director like had like a like a trader Joe's bag like a canvas one that everybody had to put their phones in one of our friends gets his phone back and it's cracked.
35:32
[SPEAKER_01]: See you in court.
35:34
[SPEAKER_01]: See you in court amount of love and percussion.
35:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're paying for my iPhone.
35:39
[SPEAKER_01]: That's crazy.
35:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't apologize.
35:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Didn't apologize.
35:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Basically made it.
35:43
[SPEAKER_01]: Said it was his first.
35:45
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm also like, I'm sorry.
35:46
[SPEAKER_01]: They're like, we shouldn't have a phone.
35:48
[SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
35:49
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm one of these.
35:50
[SPEAKER_01]: It's obvious they're responsible enough to handle it.
35:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but it is like, I am like Gibson just went to a concert and they collect all the phones and like sort of broken I'm just loved it.
36:05
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if Gibson loved it, but breaking long Gibson loved it.
36:08
[SPEAKER_01]: I love it in theory I think it would be a little scary.
36:13
[SPEAKER_00]: They do have Phone zones though, I think, where you can go get them unlocked and check things.
36:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
36:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, but like what if like someone like open fire
36:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I mean, you have to think, they're, they're security in the venue who does have means of communication.
36:29
[SPEAKER_01]: And so if you don't think we live in America, I don't know how mom did say I love you.
36:33
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how different it would be than if, are like, what if your friend goes to the bathroom and they can't find you and then like someone like grabs them and like hurts them.
36:47
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess that's all true, but.
36:49
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just like, they did it at one point, you know, the people of the world are not trustworthy enough for me to think that that's like a smart idea.
36:55
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
36:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I get it and I like that sentiment and idea, but I think that well, you know, let's be real.
37:04
[SPEAKER_01]: I have those ideas.
37:04
[SPEAKER_01]: So the entire time, I would just be thinking about I'd be envisioning a like a mass shooting happening and me not being able to like call you and let you know I can't come on to record the podcast because right, and that'll be the number one thing.
37:18
[SPEAKER_01]: I probably will be, but the other thing I was going to say really quick is that I just want you all to know that you need to vote and that men are voting and who hate women are voting.
37:31
[SPEAKER_01]: I just want you to know it because literally I tweeted one mild thing about Shane Gillis and when I tell you I got over 400 responses.
37:40
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought they were from bots.
37:42
[SPEAKER_01]: They were not.
37:42
[SPEAKER_01]: I looked at their profiles.
37:43
[SPEAKER_01]: These are fathers and husbands calling me the most deplorable names.
37:48
[SPEAKER_01]: You can imagine telling me that women are going to lose their rights to vote soon anyway.
37:52
[SPEAKER_01]: So I should shut the fuck up saying deplorable things about all women not just me.
38:02
[SPEAKER_01]: It's saying really like violating things to me like I mean ends in Could you believe the thing that was you read it's crazy over 400 of them?
38:11
[SPEAKER_01]: I had to eventually delete the tweet not because like I couldn't handle it, but because I was just like
38:17
[SPEAKER_01]: that's like a watering hole.
38:18
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like a feeding ground.
38:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's like there's a dead animal and all these vultures just keep coming.
38:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and they don't need to have a place to congregate.
38:27
[SPEAKER_01]: We need to eliminate spaces for in-cells to congregate.
38:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody responded to me, because I said, I called, I said, like, in another tweet, like, okay, you treat one thing about Shane Gillis and the in-cells come out to prove your point.
38:39
[SPEAKER_01]: And someone responded that and said, why is it always the insults?
38:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, not all misogynists are insults.
38:45
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a husband and a father.
38:47
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm a misogynist.
38:48
[SPEAKER_01]: So like, justice for us, right?
38:51
[SPEAKER_01]: What?
38:52
[SPEAKER_01]: So like, not only are these people voting, but they also like have family members who they're influencing who are voting.
38:59
[SPEAKER_01]: They're raising children and bringing them into this world with their same views.
39:04
[SPEAKER_01]: They are speaking to me a stranger
39:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Imagine what they're saying in person to people imagine what they're saying at their homes behind closed doors like It's genuinely scary and I know like you probably surround yourself with people who don't speak like this about or two women And so it can be really difficult to understand the magnitude of this issue, but then you tweet something mildly
39:31
[SPEAKER_01]: the like uncool to them about Shane Gillis, who doesn't know the exists, and you realize, okay, yeah, no, we have a massive fucking issue in this country, in this world, and, you know, it's a privilege to think that we don't, but like we do.
39:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I just want to say that.
39:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I do just want to say the deadline to register to vote has passed, but there are some states that offer a same day registration.
39:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Great.
39:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Up if you're one of those states, they're not very many of them.
40:01
[SPEAKER_00]: And if we want there to be more of them, you really do need to vote because the first thing to go will be things like that where it.
40:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
40:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Things that make it easier to vote for people to vote are being targeted.
40:14
[SPEAKER_01]: So.
40:15
[SPEAKER_00]: make sure you have your idea when you go vote.
40:17
[SPEAKER_01]: If you weren't, I know, like you might feel like it's not like a, it's not a presidential, like, you know, it's not a present though every four years.
40:24
[SPEAKER_00]: But that's exactly what you're waiting to vote.
40:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
40:26
[SPEAKER_01]: So like, if you're registered, but you weren't like, and also here's the thing I want to say.
40:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I know that right now the polls look exceptional.
40:38
[SPEAKER_00]: The polls looked exceptional in 2016.
40:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
40:42
[SPEAKER_01]: So just back and watch the episode of Rowney were carrying Rodswell that I can't fucking believe her eyes.
40:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I will say in this and like, Karen and I are relatively political, but I was like, Carol can't not at the party, but certain times and I was like, Carol, you are the Hillary Clinton voter that might have lost the auction.
41:02
[SPEAKER_01]: And so funny that when she's like when she's sitting there at the reunion, she's like When he's like asking everyone who they voted for and it is like enters and it's so funny because she does say I'm like so glad She's like I feel like the people who declined to answer voted for Trump and and he's like, yeah, I think it's three and three in one upstand And when she's like tensa you didn't vote tensa get on my thing It's not my thing and I was in Florida
41:26
[SPEAKER_01]: So I can't.
41:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, anyway, all that to say just don't be don't feel like you're there are certain, especially because it's really important because these are local races.
41:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, these races, these house races, these Senate races that will write the laws for the next two years and determine, guys, there is, no, I'm getting worked up.
41:47
[SPEAKER_00]: There is a Supreme Court seat that would, that could be up for grabs if the Republican
41:54
[SPEAKER_00]: like that's those are the stakes.
41:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
41:57
[SPEAKER_00]: That's like they if we elect a blue Senate and a blue house or at least one of the two, the odds of him getting a pick through our little bit lower.
42:08
[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be harder for him to do it.
42:09
[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be harder for him to do a lot of things.
42:11
[SPEAKER_00]: We could finally get a check on the Iranian war.
42:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Like these are things that are
42:16
[SPEAKER_00]: for grabs in this election and in local state elections these are decided by like they can be decided by a hundred people and some of these districts.
42:26
[SPEAKER_00]: So you not voting is in an option and
42:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, I want you guys to vote a certain way, but I, you know, I am an advocate for voting period.
42:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's important for people.
42:40
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what makes our country great.
42:43
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's something that we need to protect is that everybody should be voting.
42:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Caroline?
42:48
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying different strokes, okay?
42:50
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't agree with you.
42:53
[SPEAKER_01]: I think we were just saying if you don't want to vote the way I want you to vote, stay home.
43:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not mad at you.
43:04
[SPEAKER_00]: I just wanted to be clear that like I know that we, you know, there could be other people as seen as podcast and I don't I didn't mean to get on such so far, but it would surprise me, but I just voting period is important.
43:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Now I think that there are can your candidates who are better than others, but.
43:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and to a, yeah, to girls is going to say, so basically road warriors, if you live in Michigan or Texas or Kansas, which I can't even believe we're saying is on the map.
43:30
[SPEAKER_00]: If you live in North Carolina, if you live in Maine, these are all like Iowa is on the map.
43:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Like these are really important races that could change the outcome of our country, like not just for election night, not just for the next year, not just for the next two years.
43:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Like this will be a long term.
43:50
[SPEAKER_00]: change that we can make happen.
43:53
[SPEAKER_00]: That will stop some catastrophic decisions from being made in the next two years.
43:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we can make them a sitting duck.
44:00
[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't feel like one right now, but he could be.
44:03
[SPEAKER_01]: And there are people in the world who really, really, really, really women, I'm talking to you, want to take away your right to vote.
44:12
[SPEAKER_01]: So use it while you got it.
44:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, we fought for it.
44:16
[SPEAKER_01]: We might not get it to keep it just getting we're going to, but like it is like it's like that is, I know it sounds ridiculous.
44:23
[SPEAKER_01]: That's never going to happen.
44:24
[SPEAKER_01]: They're never going to.
44:24
[SPEAKER_01]: There are people who acted.
44:26
[SPEAKER_01]: We said that about Roe.
44:27
[SPEAKER_00]: We said that about Roe.
44:28
[SPEAKER_00]: We said that about Roe.
44:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
44:29
[SPEAKER_00]: That's why that's in also I just want to say to two
44:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I still blame you partial for that.
44:36
[SPEAKER_00]: That wasn't just a Republican decision.
44:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Certain people decided to stay on the court too long.
44:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, we just, we didn't write it into law like a lot of Democrats have promised to do.
44:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying the Democratic Party is a perfect party.
44:52
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of them for improvement, but we have a great batch.
44:55
[SPEAKER_00]: of candidates who could change the direction of things.
44:58
[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah.
44:59
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like really like if you're like, I want to have a Democrat or a public end and you're like, Democrats want a perfect party.
45:07
[SPEAKER_01]: And then you look at their Republicans who'd take the shit out of someone who works for it.
45:11
[SPEAKER_00]: That's not something other than Trump, but they're getting another thing that woman, another thing about the Republican party is like, they, there is this amazing New Yorker cover that I love, where,
45:22
[SPEAKER_00]: It's split into two and there's a bunch of red fingers and there's a bunch of blue fingers.
45:26
[SPEAKER_00]: All of the red fingers are pointing to the blue side and all of the blue fingers are pointing at each other.
45:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the right say what you want about them, Karen, and I don't like them, but they will they will they'll get in the line They and and Trump is making sure it normally Democrats do a little bit better in midterms because Republicans don't turn out from midterm elections as much But he's making sure that they're treating this like he's on the ballot, which will drive them to the polls So much is so his odd an option to not vote.
45:55
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just not
45:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, so let's just say we're going to keep talking about boss grow.
46:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, now the minions are ready to help because who could be behind such pure evil.
46:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's Rachel.
46:06
[SPEAKER_01]: They see her bagging phones.
46:09
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's funny to me that they immediately know it's Rachel because, and I'm not defending the girl.
46:14
[SPEAKER_00]: We all know how I feel about her.
46:15
[SPEAKER_00]: She's like,
46:16
[SPEAKER_00]: actually enemy number one for me, but I do think there could be a could just be that she's the team that was picked to help.
46:24
[SPEAKER_01]: It's all it's all over her face for smugg little cornflower Mary face.
46:29
[SPEAKER_01]: So the minions are in the bathroom.
46:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Hazel is like pretending she's having the
46:37
[SPEAKER_01]: There opens it, deroto oxen and sunglasses with the back, a gorgeous move-ton, back of phone.
46:43
[SPEAKER_01]: A little like nasal goes, yeah, nasal goes, thank you, Jesus, and Blair goes, no, thank you, Blair.
46:51
[SPEAKER_01]: And thank you, deroto.
47:12
[SPEAKER_00]: and she's she's genuine, she's it like you expect for Nelly to not be the one like feeding, but she is here for those, she's just a fucking know how, so Blair's like,
47:27
[SPEAKER_01]: We're using his phones to dig deep into Rachel's past.
47:30
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to run that Kami Cornhusker straight out of constants.
47:35
[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
47:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, girl.
47:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever you say, whatever you say.
47:42
[SPEAKER_00]: So then we go to Nate and Vanessa who are meeting Chuck at their hot and happy this after the way I and when you were saying there were three stories of this episode, I was like, you're right, there's the obscene storyline, there's the as a story line and then there's the rom calm going on with Nate and Vanessa what you get no information on, by the way, we just think about these little moments of their love.
48:05
[SPEAKER_01]: They were literally, yeah, they're a newly-wedded bliss vibes.
48:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Chuck explains that he got this envelope yesterday.
48:13
[SPEAKER_01]: I had a date, a time and a dress, no name.
48:15
[SPEAKER_01]: And when he went inside, it was, quote, the ultimate private gentleman's club, which been us as like, oh my god, is this the Chuck Bass version of Narnia.
48:24
[SPEAKER_01]: And basically it is.
48:26
[SPEAKER_01]: And when he went in, like, he said he met this most beautiful woman.
48:31
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, oh, he said it was most beautiful woman.
48:33
[SPEAKER_01]: He's ever ready to knock on.
48:37
[SPEAKER_01]: So what do you say?
48:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
48:39
[SPEAKER_01]: But then she didn't because he woke up alone in a hotel room.
48:43
[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't remember her name.
48:44
[SPEAKER_01]: So he's like hoping being here will jog his memory.
48:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever.
48:47
[SPEAKER_00]: It's giving when Emily woke up with the stamp on her wrist and had to like piece together.
48:51
[SPEAKER_00]: What the night she had was.
48:53
[SPEAKER_00]: It literally is that.
48:56
[SPEAKER_01]: So back in the bathroom, the girls cannot find anything on Rachel.
48:58
[SPEAKER_01]: They say she's a Midwestern, a mother Teresa.
49:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm just going to, like, in all of it in high school, I couldn't dream of spending this much time in the bathroom.
49:09
[SPEAKER_01]: I was seeing the same thing.
49:10
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, um, you guys are pretty comfortable in here.
49:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, at least go in the stalls with your phones.
49:15
[SPEAKER_01]: You're just like out and they'd be, you know what the liars were like, this too.
49:17
[SPEAKER_01]: And the bathroom was laid out the same way.
49:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Hannah was physically assaulting blind girls in the bathroom and no one came in.
49:23
[SPEAKER_01]: So, like, honestly, no one there.
49:26
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm ready to hang a sign.
49:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Bitch can see.
49:33
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm ready to hang a sign, but you can see Lucy Hill made me laugh when she was like when she posted all those pictures of her in heart, and getting ready for the same thing.
49:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Thank fucking God.
49:45
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't actually can't wait for that.
49:47
[SPEAKER_01]: And we're getting a late and meester holiday movie.
49:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I saw that with the guy with Dean from Go Morgan.
49:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, yes, who films a movie at the bottom of our street Jared Patelackie.
49:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
49:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
49:59
[SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, I'm excited.
50:01
[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll have we'll have two Christmas movies to watch.
50:05
[SPEAKER_01]: It'll be a good like Patriot.
50:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we do like a little holiday watch party and like that's fun.
50:08
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm watching and that would be a fun thing for us to do.
50:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Also, Clyde's coming to visit me.
50:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, not really me, but he's coming today here, but it was coming at Pettsburg in a couple of weeks.
50:18
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, we should watch the pilot a pretty little liars and record it and release it like way later.
50:21
[SPEAKER_00]: But as he ever seen it,
50:23
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, I don't think so.
50:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, that would be fun.
50:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
50:27
[SPEAKER_01]: So Blair has this great quote.
50:29
[SPEAKER_01]: She goes, when the truth fails you, you have no choice but to abandon it.
50:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Make something up, idiots.
50:38
[SPEAKER_00]: And outside, this is, this is like seeing Alice into Dealer and just like this is like Alice in Dealer and just in the car with CC Watching page macullers bike up to the sign where she's gonna leave her steamy No, it's like the excitement and Blair's eyes when she sees that like she has something she can do is Like Ali being like oh my god, she is really doing this and in a polo and cacky shorts
51:05
[SPEAKER_00]: It is such a miracle.
51:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Ali and Blair never use that portal to connect.
51:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
51:11
[SPEAKER_01]: What the world would be up.
51:12
[SPEAKER_01]: It would be a terrorist organization But honestly, I'd vote for them imagine that ticket dealer interest and will order or fall to our familiar interest.
51:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, door has to be the president got by vote
51:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Ali's really just like secret service, but she's she's the vice president, but she's in charge of like she's in charge of like she's in charge of fighting people She's scrappy So Rachel and Dan run into each other in the hall and like he's like flustered and then he's like I like a little way around each other like they like hit each other and like it's like a meat queue and then he's like I like your sweater Not that I didn't like what you were wearing yesterday not that I know what you were wearing yesterday You were wearing a sweater and these little yellow boots
51:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Also yellow boots maybe it was a yellow sweater and and boots, but anyway yellow was in there.
52:00
[SPEAKER_00]: He's just like and then she goes Tan Breathe
52:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, are you kidding?
52:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Tann?
52:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Breathe.
52:13
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just a girl.
52:15
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just...
52:17
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, Mary.
52:19
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just like, it's, and then Blair goes, Blair, literally, it's all she need to see.
52:23
[SPEAKER_01]: She whirls around in the minions, because you can give your tiny brains a rest.
52:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Once again, the world has proven that anything you can do, I do better.
52:32
[SPEAKER_01]: And then she turns, takes a picture.
52:35
[SPEAKER_00]: sends a gossip girl to the girls look through a frosted window that they can't see through and just they're last exactly so then after Blair sends it we get Dan walk away we need to say we get a high five we need to say what she sent okay you say I don't know is that miss car maybe the new Mary Kaywich or no
52:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Wait, who is Mary Kay Laterno?
52:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'm sitting earlier and I was like, sorry, that's coming up again.
53:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Remember made a summer?
53:03
[SPEAKER_00]: The movie with Julia Moore and I never saw that.
53:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, maybe it's not for you.
53:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, but that, okay, I'll decide what's coming.
53:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm watching it and now it's my favorite movie.
53:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it is like, people, it's really like, it's kind of like,
53:18
[SPEAKER_00]: The movie is not similar to tar with K-Blanchet, but the way that people, like Matt loves that movie.
53:25
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
53:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Matt from, yeah, that's called.
53:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Because Julian, I don't know, I don't know Matt.
53:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Julian, more her performance in this is,
53:33
[SPEAKER_00]: undeniable.
53:35
[SPEAKER_00]: She's playing married.
53:36
[SPEAKER_00]: She's playing.
53:38
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not exact.
53:38
[SPEAKER_00]: She's not like playing Mary Kayla Turner, but she's, um, and again, she's playing someone like her.
53:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Mary Kayla Turner was the teacher who, uh, this isn't funny.
53:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I should not be laughing, but in the context of me to celebrate it anyway, whatever.
53:53
[SPEAKER_00]: She had sex with her middle school student or like one of her like one of her but she had kids like that new him anyway She goes to jail, but they do get married and have their own family and they're not together anymore and now the sun has since like Kind of like awakened to like how terrible the situation was for him, but yeah, she was like a really high profile
54:22
[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus Christ.
54:23
[SPEAKER_01]: So, um, okay.
54:25
[SPEAKER_01]: So Dan's walking through campus and he's like getting high fives from all the bros because he's fucking rage.
54:32
[SPEAKER_01]: And this is when Jenny walks up to him and she goes,
54:44
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not a wave babe.
54:47
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a pose.
54:48
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a text.
54:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, it's basically a text.
54:52
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't need to watch out for this moment because of me.
54:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Love.
54:57
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll allow the birds I watched it.
54:59
[SPEAKER_01]: And then I told her to look out for and I did that hand motion and she thought it was a way to she was looking her eagle eyes were on the lookout for a wave and she gets on this morning she's like I did not see that wave like I don't know what you're talking about and I was like what like I don't know how you miss it but also it's on a wave and we'll get there.
55:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah she walks up.
55:22
[SPEAKER_01]: That's why you're telling me?
55:27
[SPEAKER_00]: She goes, she's still concealing the text and she sits down and she goes, man, I thought I was the bad seed in this family.
55:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's what I thought was, that's what I thought was the Arya moment.
55:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Literally, it is.
55:40
[SPEAKER_01]: The whole thing, her sitting down and being like, she's like, okay, don't give it away.
55:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't give the punchline away.
55:45
[SPEAKER_01]: She's the guy thought I was the bad seed.
55:47
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, what do you mean?
55:54
[SPEAKER_00]: She also the way that she said that I am off and so hard my stomach hurts you guys Guys, let me do it by the way.
55:59
[SPEAKER_01]: If you're not watching what I'm doing with my hand is I'm taking the palm of my hand And I'm going I'm making it sideways and you can imagine I've got stuff written on it It's kind of you have a whole gossip proposed written on it.
56:12
[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of a family-esque.
56:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's
56:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Even if we're able to have a pen and paper and she had to write something down, and it was like and she had to go somewhere She knew and they'd be like, why and she's like, why?
56:28
[SPEAKER_00]: But she when she sits on the the cafeteria like the little the thing that she's sitting on She's sitting with her back towards the actual table on the bench with her elbows She's like leaning back like thought I was the bad seed in the family.
56:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Literally like
56:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's giving, no, yes, guys.
56:46
[SPEAKER_00]: It's Jenny and Georgia.
56:48
[SPEAKER_01]: It is so funny.
56:53
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't even have a dream.
56:54
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't even have a dream.
56:57
[SPEAKER_01]: So funny.
56:58
[SPEAKER_01]: But no, I know how Arya is that moment.
57:01
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I was going to think of this one.
57:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Please, and that is sale.
57:05
[SPEAKER_00]: The same thing that we talked about.
57:08
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not happening.
57:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to wish it was.
57:10
[SPEAKER_01]: No, no.
57:13
[SPEAKER_01]: They based on it.
57:14
[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
57:43
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she's like, you know, I think she's easy more than anyone's ever seen before that could mean more than one thing that could be a double entrandra.
57:50
[SPEAKER_01]: He is he is shocked.
57:52
[SPEAKER_00]: He's so surprised.
57:53
[SPEAKER_00]: He's so surprised.
57:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, my coffee just got here.
57:56
[SPEAKER_00]: So you take this little next bit.
57:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to go get it.
57:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so he's like this isn't true and she does believe in my care on says and Dan is like, who would even send this.
58:06
[SPEAKER_00]: and what kills me is he's not even like who would send this about me he's like who would send this mean thing about Rachel he can't imagine can't imagine that Rachel is not like the most beloved teacher at this school and so he says that he's like who would do this to Rachel and Serena is like hmm
58:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I can think of maybe one person and I'm kind of scared to tell you, but Blair got trashed, Judy, because of her.
58:38
[SPEAKER_00]: So I would not be shocked if she thought, maybe she could say Rachel was going, I don't know, full Mary, Mary, Mary, Kate, with Toronto.
58:49
[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, new favorite food item from Starbucks, mini pumpkin pie, not gonna eat her right now, but thank God.
58:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Good, very good.
59:00
[SPEAKER_01]: I was in an image, Brad, I saw a tag with El Melko, beautiful.
59:04
[SPEAKER_00]: I do need to tell Breckin' like, because last night we were sitting on the couch with Maddie, and she came in with a QD, and she was like, is it okay?
59:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Like a QD Clementine, and she was like, is it okay if I sit here?
59:17
[SPEAKER_00]: And Maddie goes, what?
59:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, of course.
59:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And she was like, no, I was asking, VB.
59:23
[SPEAKER_00]: I was like,
59:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Stop, Maddie's like doing this.
59:26
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like pregnant guys.
59:27
[SPEAKER_01]: You knew the room.
59:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, is there any okay?
59:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, Phoebe, can you give us a sack?
59:34
[SPEAKER_01]: You need okay to end this.
59:36
[SPEAKER_01]: This is this has got to stop So yeah, okay, so that's what that's happening whatever name but as I'm just so over this once
59:45
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, even as our playing the piano, Chuck's exploring, he finds framed photos on the piano of the woman.
59:51
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like holding a baby and then he finds a card because like the place is for sale, so he's going to call that number.
59:56
[SPEAKER_00]: This is like giving an SVU, like while they're like investigating is, even the picture and the actress in this is all giving an SVU.
1:00:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I agree.
1:00:05
[SPEAKER_01]: So Blair goes to the bathroom.
1:00:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Dan comes in.
1:00:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you heard that right Dan comes in and Blair goes the ladies room.
1:00:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I knew you and Serena were having problems I had no idea they were anatomical I'm sorry it is but anybody walks in she goes the ladies room Like it's like she's not actually that surprises him She's just like literally she's putting on the glass in the mirror season
1:00:33
[SPEAKER_00]: the ladies room.
1:00:33
[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, I knew I would have to have this conversation with you but some point, but really don't go here.
1:00:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, this isn't your school.
1:00:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Not only are you in the ladies room, you're in the room that early.
1:00:42
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a great point.
1:00:43
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a great point.
1:00:44
[SPEAKER_00]: So we can cross down the gossip girl room, her.
1:00:46
[SPEAKER_00]: She plays dumb and is like, I don't know what the fuck you're talking about.
1:00:49
[SPEAKER_01]: He's a stop it.
1:00:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Rachel cares about people in her job too.
1:00:53
[SPEAKER_01]: And she goes, write a short story about it and have Rachel give you notes.
1:00:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Naked.
1:00:59
[SPEAKER_00]: And then she, Dan, I, I, I almost what she had said after Dan says she cares about her students.
1:01:06
[SPEAKER_00]: She should, she had said maybe a little too much.
1:01:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe maybe a little too much, huh?
1:01:13
[SPEAKER_01]: So Serena then finds Rachel at like a bagel truck and she's going to give her the essay.
1:01:17
[SPEAKER_01]: She's a cook sorry and give it to you earlier.
1:01:18
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just intimidated by Danny.
1:01:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Such a good writer, whatever, and they're walking back in the school and Rachel's like, she does make it great.
1:01:25
[SPEAKER_00]: She, in this I am like, okay, maybe you did this one little thing.
1:01:29
[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, it must be hard knowing that like day on a first Thanksgiving would get like a new notebook and new pens and yeah, like he has been praised and encouraged his entire life and you Yeah, it's almost like Rachel doesn't admit for a second, but like the life that she and Dan are making fun of actually isn't all it's cracked up to me for these kids because like most of these parents like just like put pushing these kids to the side
1:01:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, there is like for Christmas I'd get a Chanel wallet and a credit card so I'd get out of the house.
1:01:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I'm like, that sounds freaking lit.
1:02:00
[SPEAKER_01]: That sounds awesome.
1:02:01
[SPEAKER_01]: jealous, but for her, she's like, maybe I would have loved to get a ballpoint pen.
1:02:05
[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, Anthony said that my anniversary gift is in the house.
1:02:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Caroline, he shouldn't have done that.
1:02:11
[SPEAKER_00]: She should have done that.
1:02:12
[SPEAKER_00]: She should have done that.
1:02:13
[SPEAKER_00]: She should have done that.
1:02:13
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:14
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:14
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:15
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:15
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:16
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:17
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:17
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:18
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:18
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:19
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:20
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:20
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:21
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:21
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:22
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:22
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:23
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:23
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:24
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:24
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:25
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:26
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done that.
1:02:26
[SPEAKER_01]: She should have done
1:02:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Why did you put it in the house on the way to tell her you put it in the house and he was dying to give it to me else gave it to me last night.
1:02:36
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to tracks tomorrow that's like our anniversary date.
1:02:39
[SPEAKER_01]: And we're going to get pumpkins and mums and all kinds of things and it's going to be so long.
1:02:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so anyway also like I am gonna have to leave at some point you're gonna have to finish this Okay Serena tells Rachel about the gossip programmer and it's like people it just explains what gossip Girl is yeah, that it's anonymous and everything and then Serena's like okay now that I just ruined your whole afternoon Gotta go air to go and then Dan walks up and he's like do you have a moment?
1:03:02
[SPEAKER_01]: She's a cab of course.
1:03:03
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like you guys are in the middle of the school everyone's talking about you and you know it But okay, whatever, so The stupid Chuck storyline he's meeting he means of the realtor
1:03:13
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's asking about like the owners of the house.
1:03:15
[SPEAKER_01]: She obviously can't get that information.
1:03:17
[SPEAKER_01]: But then she like keeps flirt with her.
1:03:18
[SPEAKER_01]: And she leaves the files.
1:03:20
[SPEAKER_01]: So you can get the number and he calls the number.
1:03:22
[SPEAKER_01]: And this is crazy.
1:03:23
[SPEAKER_01]: He calls the phone number and the guy answers is like, oh, that girl is our nanny that you're looking for.
1:03:30
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, okay, I wanted to thank her for a lovely evening last night.
1:03:34
[SPEAKER_01]: No, don't say that to her employer, how about that?
1:03:37
[SPEAKER_01]: And then the guys they go, that's impossible, because she was watching the kids last night.
1:03:41
[SPEAKER_01]: And okay, so sorry, I know where she was last night.
1:03:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Who was watching the kids?
1:03:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm like, I'm a little nervous.
1:03:50
[SPEAKER_00]: So, and back at school, Blair is called into Queller's office.
1:03:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Erin, she comes in and has,
1:03:56
[SPEAKER_00]: shocked to see Rachel for some reason and like God, she's like a fucking cockroach.
1:04:01
[SPEAKER_01]: She's everywhere like is and I'm sorry Yeah, you're honestly at this point.
1:04:10
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like you've been on the scene for three school days and the amount of drama like it's not worth this.
1:04:17
[SPEAKER_01]: This is where I'm kind of like to queler like Are you not a little bit like
1:04:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not taking her side immediately.
1:04:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I'm probably airing on the side of caution of like he's been three days in this room has already started and you're getting breakfast with kids off campus.
1:04:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's literally like that is it's just it's you're not in college.
1:04:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Like so Blair is saying that she didn't the gossip grows in there and they're confronting her about that and Blair is like I didn't do that and Rachel is like we have a witness.
1:04:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, great.
1:04:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, little Nellie you really freaking really she said it was they basically threatened her They were like it's your record or players and Nellie chose her as and then Blair gets expelled from Consistibility.
1:04:58
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was crazy and Rachel's like that's right
1:05:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I hate it.
1:05:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Like what?
1:05:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
1:05:03
[SPEAKER_01]: So Blair is in bed sleeping.
1:05:04
[SPEAKER_01]: She's depressed.
1:05:05
[SPEAKER_01]: And her dad comes in to check on her and he's like, okay, I try to get the expulsion or vote.
1:05:10
[SPEAKER_01]: They're not going to do it.
1:05:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Blair and each and all of you did it.
1:05:12
[SPEAKER_01]: And she goes, I might have.
1:05:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, all the girls do like send and things to the house of girl and she goes But anything I wrote was the truth.
1:05:22
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't lie.
1:05:23
[SPEAKER_01]: This is where it's really giving children's hour and then Harold's like, well, that's true.
1:05:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Then the real issue is that the teachers having and this is the real issue.
1:05:30
[SPEAKER_01]: The teacher's having an inappropriate relationship with the student and he's like, I'm going to call the lawyers and fight it.
1:05:35
[SPEAKER_00]: You're not going to be one if not telling the truth.
1:05:37
[SPEAKER_00]: The inappropriate relationship is not just with Dan and it's not just with Serena.
1:05:40
[SPEAKER_00]: The weird
1:05:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it's just like, it's like at the end of the day, I know your age difference isn't that big, but Blair is the kid and like I know that Blair is like it's almost like when, you know, your parents get divorced and like you torment your new step mom like it's just like, this is the plate of a substitute teacher.
1:06:01
[SPEAKER_01]: This is the plate of a young new teacher.
1:06:03
[SPEAKER_01]: This happens everywhere you go and like, but these just can't handle a kid, you know, you have to have because also like you are if you didn't give Blair and anything to go on.
1:06:14
[SPEAKER_01]: This wouldn't be like people wouldn't be talking about this exactly.
1:06:17
[SPEAKER_01]: So Dan and Vanessa are talking at the cafe Rufus walks in.
1:06:21
[SPEAKER_01]: He's now heard about the rumor and the parents counsel is having an emergency meeting tonight It's like I'm gonna get the weird as package Dan's like great again Vanessa gets a package with like a lace mask in it.
1:06:32
[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of truck fight.
1:06:34
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like the same as the child totally so yeah She goes and I'm gonna go file this
1:06:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, Gile.
1:06:43
[SPEAKER_01]: So Serena, then meets Rachel and Central Park for coffee.
1:06:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Again, we are in Rachel's house or she feels safer talking outside because everything going on, but it's like, but you and Dan just have like a private like I just don't get it, but Serena's being a good friend for a month in her life.
1:06:57
[SPEAKER_01]: She's advocating for Blair.
1:06:58
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, look, she's going to lose you like.
1:07:01
[SPEAKER_01]: you have to do something and Rachel's like, well, I feel bad, but I could lose my entire career.
1:07:06
[SPEAKER_01]: And so you're ruining Blair's entire life.
1:07:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Like you just talked to the headmaster.
1:07:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Also, can you be like Rachel, she can still be punished for this if you really want to.
1:07:16
[SPEAKER_00]: But like
1:07:17
[SPEAKER_01]: your expelling her from high school right before she graduates and it's almost like that is her entire future on her expel because he's on you like what is it and then Rachel's like yeah I'm not going to talk to the headmistress I do hope we can still be friends friends to serve me and I'm like no that's the girl that's the issue that's the issue so Serena calls Blair to tell her that Rachel's not going to come around Blair sitting with handsome her dog and goes to rota
1:07:52
[SPEAKER_01]: but Rachel left her planner on the bench and Serena takes it looks at it sees where she's going to be and starts heading there so she can return the planner.
1:08:00
[SPEAKER_00]: So at the meeting, Lily and Rufus are heading in and they meet.
1:08:03
[SPEAKER_00]: They run into Harold on the way in and Harold battles like ads.
1:08:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Harold's here to advocate for Blair and Rufus, like introduces himself to Rufus not knowing that this is going to be a point of contention between the two of them.
1:08:16
[SPEAKER_00]: And Rufus is like, well, I'm here to make sure no one else is slandered at this school.
1:08:23
[SPEAKER_01]: my son was led by your daughter.
1:08:25
[SPEAKER_01]: So, um, cool.
1:08:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Then we go to Rachel and Dan, they're, they're, I'm sorry, basically on a date.
1:08:30
[SPEAKER_01]: She's, quote, thinking him for yesterday.
1:08:33
[SPEAKER_01]: And he says, like, here's the thing, if you have to discuss the possibility of being a character witness, you're in a bad sense.
1:08:40
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's like, I'll be a character witness for about half-and-has to do, aren't she's like, I can't believe you just said that.
1:08:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I can't, like,
1:08:47
[SPEAKER_01]: And she gets really offended, so I just can't believe anybody would think that like I would be over the you and he is like, wow, that's definitive like, wow, wow, she's like, no, I mean, listen, you can call me in five years.
1:09:02
[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, did you note this is like basically a candle with dinner?
1:09:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like this is crazy.
1:09:08
[SPEAKER_01]: And then she breaks down crying and dance comforting her and he's doing the signature like before I'm going to kiss you putting your hair behind your ears.
1:09:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Serena walks up to the window to return Miss cars planner and she sees us all happening and the bitch takes a fucking pick.
1:09:22
[SPEAKER_01]: And she, but she, but she was called her Rachel, which is Dan OS.
1:09:25
[SPEAKER_00]: She's over taking the picture.
1:09:27
[SPEAKER_00]: And then it's like lasting long enough where she's like, okay, I have to take the picture.
1:09:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:09:30
[SPEAKER_00]: And she walks away before she can see it.
1:09:32
[SPEAKER_01]: So Rachel's like, this isn't appropriate.
1:09:34
[SPEAKER_01]: And she leaves it on like, you're just now feeling like this isn't appropriate, like, are you okay?
1:09:39
[SPEAKER_00]: So.
1:09:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Now we go to Chuck and the girl has shown up with a candle and as like the invitation was meant for Bart actually and when she realized too Chuck was They didn't realize Bart was dead when they realized who Chuck was she drugged him so that he wouldn't remember anything that happened and like this is safer than him being here me drugging him
1:10:05
[SPEAKER_01]: and transporting him to an alternate location is a safer place for him to be them where we are here and she also says like I'm not sure what her I don't know what her I don't know what is going on it's darkest fuck she says that she like took over a girl's client list and bar bass was on it and then
1:10:23
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, listen, if my dad was a part of this group, then like, I have a right to know who they are.
1:10:28
[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, okay, turn on CNN, walk down Wall Street.
1:10:32
[SPEAKER_01]: That's who they are.
1:10:34
[SPEAKER_01]: And then she says to stop looking, lose the postcard, like, it's not safe.
1:10:37
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, I'll protect you.
1:10:38
[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, you literally cannot do not contact me again.
1:10:42
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just really massively giving up scene.
1:10:44
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, either prolific or it's not crazy.
1:10:47
[SPEAKER_00]: So Vanessa arrives at the Archibals in her mask
1:10:53
[SPEAKER_00]: a little date night, a little rendezvous because they know the time.
1:10:56
[SPEAKER_00]: So then I think I know the wall to earth.
1:10:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Serena gets there and shows Blair the picture.
1:11:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Blair is a flying operland.
1:11:03
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, girl, I think you have time.
1:11:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, there are, I think you have time.
1:11:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Believe me not, actually, because the new year just happened.
1:11:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
1:11:10
[SPEAKER_00]: She's right at another time.
1:11:11
[SPEAKER_01]: You're right.
1:11:12
[SPEAKER_00]: So Blair is sorry because she's like that is your boyfriend like that sucks, but Blair knows how to be a good friend first.
1:11:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she's like listen.
1:11:25
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm really sorry.
1:11:25
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't actually want this to be true.
1:11:27
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like on Christmas morning when you know you're about to like open a really I give you a really excited about so you like I'll watch you in the lily open a gift.
1:11:36
[SPEAKER_00]: First and then be like, oh my god, I'm so excited.
1:11:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Is everyone ready for me?
1:11:40
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:40
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:41
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:41
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:42
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:42
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:43
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:44
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:45
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:46
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:47
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:48
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:49
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:49
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:50
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:51
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:52
[UNKNOWN]: All eyes on me?
1:11:52
[UNKNOWN]: All eyes on me?
1:11:53
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:55
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:55
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:56
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:57
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:11:58
[SPEAKER_01]: All eyes on me?
1:12:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Go on, shout out, shout out, how did you know who told, which one of you told her, you know, you know me so mom, oh my god, I'm actually, okay, Anton is
1:12:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, what did you do to serve us?
1:12:28
[SPEAKER_00]: And then this is Phoebe opening, yes.
1:12:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, and then this is Lily opening a gift.
1:12:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Next?
1:12:34
[SPEAKER_00]: That was good!
1:12:38
[SPEAKER_01]: just kidding.
1:12:40
[SPEAKER_01]: But Blair is like, I'm so sorry.
1:12:42
[SPEAKER_01]: But I got to take this smoking.
1:12:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Can I have been looking for the Dorota?
1:12:47
[SPEAKER_01]: She's a go get the job back.
1:12:49
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to the meeting.
1:12:50
[SPEAKER_01]: And then and then Serena, Genius, Textana is like, meet me at Constance ASAP.
1:12:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, girl, no, you're about to go ruin his life and I don't think you need him to be there for that.
1:13:01
[SPEAKER_00]: So then we go back to the school.
1:13:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Harold is talking about censorship and freedom of split his lawyer.
1:13:07
[SPEAKER_00]: He literally has lawyered up in this meeting.
1:13:09
[SPEAKER_00]: No one else has lawyer in the parents.
1:13:12
[SPEAKER_00]: This is a good point.
1:13:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Someone's like, what if we just shut the site down and they're like, then they'll just keep eating another one and another one option.
1:13:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Lily's like come on guys shut down gossip grow you crazy and love it Like it's so funny.
1:13:26
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like a hundred others will pop up and then like Rupert gets annoyed with Lily She he was what about dance future and here's where I'm gonna say something and then Phoebe is gonna have to finish the episode from here What I'm gonna say is
1:13:37
[SPEAKER_01]: What about Dan's future?
1:13:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I just want to say I'm listening.
1:13:40
[SPEAKER_01]: I have never in my life seen a sexual misconduct allegation actually ruin a man's life or sexual assault allegation.
1:13:51
[SPEAKER_00]: I do just want to make a quick difference here.
1:13:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Dan is the minor here.
1:13:55
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's also like
1:13:57
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not quite, no, like the psychological ramifications for sure, I do think that his career, his life, hopefully he will see him as the victim and like he will be fine.
1:14:09
[SPEAKER_00]: People are high five in him around the school.
1:14:11
[SPEAKER_01]: So like it's like although he doesn't know that this would be a violating situation for him at this moment and in time hindsight, he might be like, okay, I see now.
1:14:20
[SPEAKER_01]: it's like he's not like roof is acting like he's gonna like being called a whore and like wearing a scar that letter and it's like more that they're acute like he's the he's the perpetrator yeah and it's like nice and it's like no like he like people are not looking at him like that he's not gonna be punished for this the way that she is and also just like out of context I've just been thinking about it a lot like people who really go
1:14:50
[SPEAKER_01]: I've seen what do you think a woman goes through something.
1:14:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I have seen women who go through something horrifically violating and terrible and violent.
1:14:59
[SPEAKER_01]: I've seen them go through something like that decide to take it to court and it ruined their life.
1:15:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Even though it happened and they are in the right and they are the victims.
1:15:07
[SPEAKER_01]: So like,
1:15:08
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, yeah, you might have a rough couple of years, but like men usually come out fucking okay.
1:15:13
[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, it's not a perfect thing with the dance situation, but you know, I'm saying.
1:15:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and so okay.
1:15:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, just like Dan's future shouldn't be ruined.
1:15:21
[SPEAKER_01]: I also don't think that Blair's.
1:15:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
1:15:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
1:15:24
[SPEAKER_00]: It should be ruined.
1:15:24
[SPEAKER_00]: So Serena comes in and or Blair comes in and is like, hey, had mistress check your freaking.
1:15:32
[SPEAKER_01]: I am sorry for the interruption, but I have something, I think almost everyone here would like to see.
1:15:41
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's in the meeting and my name like up on the projector she puts the picture of fucking Dan tucking Rachel's hair behind her ear and the cafe.
1:15:50
[SPEAKER_00]: So outside of the meeting Serena is like Dan you were really not gonna like what's going on in there.
1:15:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she's like, and by the way, could just broken up with me, but instead my two best friends lied to me, Dan and Rachel.
1:16:03
[SPEAKER_00]: And guess what's going on in there?
1:16:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Blair is showing everyone they're showing everyone what you did slot and dancing that didn't happen and she pushed me away like you didn't like you didn't stay I wasn't what it knows or what have gone it's also she pushed her who yeah he's like I could have I could have fucked her right there
1:16:24
[SPEAKER_01]: So Rita's like, wait, you didn't kiss her and I just want to say three and a hey, doesn't it doesn't matter It doesn't matter.
1:16:28
[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't matter.
1:16:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Still wild in appropriate It's also like I just want to say that take damn that's an admission of guilt a little bit that like she pushed me away That's why they did exactly like and then he's like you really cannot show this picture to anyone She's like I yeah, I gave it to Blair and he's like what where is she she's like in there
1:16:46
[SPEAKER_01]: And they're showing everyone showing your dad and my mom is car, okay, are you good to finish the end of this there's not much left.
1:16:53
[SPEAKER_01]: I can try you can try it.
1:16:55
[SPEAKER_01]: You'll be fine.
1:16:56
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like three scenes.
1:16:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so Blair comes out and she's back in if I leave will it keep going for you.
1:17:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't leave just turn you your mic and turn your video off.
1:17:09
[SPEAKER_01]: I
1:17:13
[SPEAKER_00]: So guys, now she's freaking out of here.
1:17:16
[SPEAKER_00]: She's a little man.
1:17:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway.
1:17:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, you need video for this podcast.
1:17:26
[SPEAKER_00]: That was awesome.
1:17:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I forgot you getting your me.
1:17:28
[SPEAKER_00]: I forgot to get here.
1:17:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my goodness gracious.
1:17:37
[SPEAKER_00]: So Blair is back in a constant and she saved gossip girl and Dan is like I can't believe you use that picture to like back up a lie that you are already toward in her world here is that because she's Blair says that she was just being prophetic and that her dad takes that as an admission of like oh so you did lie and so
1:18:01
[SPEAKER_00]: she tries to say sorry to her dad and then he's like I'm just going to go home like I need some air Dan and so we're going to go outside and he's like why would you go after Rachel?
1:18:10
[SPEAKER_00]: And so he's like I just like feel like so stupid and I believed the worst parts of that like I believed this because part of me
1:18:23
[SPEAKER_00]: wanted to break the fuck up with you.
1:18:25
[SPEAKER_00]: And so they have a discussion they break up with them like so this is it.
1:18:28
[SPEAKER_00]: This is it.
1:18:28
[SPEAKER_00]: And then they um they hug and let go, just like awesome girl says.
1:18:34
[SPEAKER_00]: And so the next day, Rufus
1:18:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Rufus heard that Serena and Dan broke up and I'm like, Dan did you put me behind their hugging and behind Serena's neck.
1:18:45
[SPEAKER_00]: He's like posting on gossip, that lonely boy and as have called it quits yet again.
1:18:51
[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, Rufus heard the word on the street that they broke up and as a girl, okay, and Dan says, yeah, I'm fine.
1:18:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and
1:19:00
[SPEAKER_00]: So then Dan is like so what happened in the meeting and Rufus says that the photo was like sealed Rachel's fate Rachel is hashtag done and so Dan is like I messed up Rachel didn't I should be the one who's punished which is like so fucking crazy and he realizes that Rufus voted to fire and Rufus is like it's only to protect you and your future
1:19:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Dan's furious and is like Rachel shouldn't be fired.
1:19:28
[SPEAKER_00]: I again should be the one who's like in trouble and he leaves.
1:19:30
[SPEAKER_00]: He goes to rate or okay.
1:19:32
[SPEAKER_00]: We go to Rachel's apartment and Serena I'll send the door brings her plan or and it's like, okay.
1:19:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I saw that you were going to be at this place.
1:19:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I went.
1:19:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I took the picture.
1:19:41
[SPEAKER_00]: I sent it to Blair and so this is all my fault.
1:19:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Rachel gives Serena her essay.
1:19:48
[SPEAKER_00]: and is like, the essay was wonderful, but the essay was great, you should go, though.
1:19:55
[SPEAKER_00]: And Serena's devastated.
1:19:56
[SPEAKER_00]: The only teacher that's ever seen her is out of her life now.
1:20:01
[SPEAKER_00]: So we go to the Waldorf's Blair is getting ready to send handsome off to Paris with Harold and Roman.
1:20:08
[SPEAKER_00]: And Harold is like, you can keep the dog and then it says that, which way?
1:20:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess he says that, but I feel like,
1:20:16
[SPEAKER_00]: he leaves with the dog anyway.
1:20:18
[SPEAKER_00]: So, he says that he's worried about Blair, which I think is fair and that he's a little bit disappointed in her for allowing him to stand up for her and make excuses for her and defend a lie.
1:20:30
[SPEAKER_00]: So, she says that Yale's in the line and she has to go there just like him and he's like, it doesn't matter what college you go to.
1:20:37
[SPEAKER_00]: It just matters what kind of person you are.
1:20:40
[SPEAKER_00]: So she offers to have Dorota Pack picnic for them to eat when they go to the airport and Harald says that they should say goodbye right now which I think is kind of crazy like that's your kid.
1:20:50
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't see very long which you're just like ready to believe immediately whatever so
1:20:59
[SPEAKER_00]: He kisses her, leaves, and they both have a lot to think about, I guess.
1:21:04
[SPEAKER_00]: At the Vanderwoodsins, Chuck is looking to Bart's safe and finds a massive collection a little box of cards under a book, like in his safe hidden, and it's a bunch of cards like the one that he received with passwords and addresses and all the sorts of stuff.
1:21:18
[SPEAKER_00]: And so he's like, what the fuck was Bart?
1:21:21
[SPEAKER_00]: getting into and he then receives a call from someone who is the owner of the house and L's and player and he explains that L never got back home last night and they're worried about her and he tells Chuck like, please, if you hear anything from her, please give us a call.
1:21:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Dan shows up to Rachel's.
1:21:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh boy.
1:21:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh freaking boy.
1:21:42
[SPEAKER_00]: This is terrible.
1:21:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Dan is like,
1:21:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I hate when Dan like feels himself like to me so just like a virgin loser.
1:21:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I know he's been with Serena, but every time he gets attention from a girl and he like has to be like, like, I, he's like a peacock who's like, you know, done his feathers.
1:22:00
[SPEAKER_00]: That's how I feel.
1:22:01
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just so cringe to me when Dan has to play like a play a playboy, essentially.
1:22:07
[SPEAKER_00]: So he's apologizing for the hug and all that stuff and then she grabs him and kisses him
1:22:12
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not a freaking teacher anymore, and they get ready to freaking do it, tell you that much.
1:22:17
[SPEAKER_00]: And so.
1:22:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Then, as this is happening, we go to the Vanderwitzens and Queller's here, I guess, a house call and tells Rufus and Lily that's bored has decided that there isn't enough full proof evidence to fire Rachel, which I think is crazy.
1:22:36
[SPEAKER_00]: You shouldn't need proof.
1:22:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I just think that the smell of a rumor, like this is enough in my eyes to kind of get a teacher fired.
1:22:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I just, you can't risk it.
1:22:45
[SPEAKER_00]: You cannot risk having teachers like,
1:22:49
[SPEAKER_00]: deal with the shit.
1:22:50
[SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy.
1:22:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, so
1:22:55
[SPEAKER_00]: she will be allowed, she resume all of her teaching responsibilities and she'll be back in the nonsense.
1:23:01
[SPEAKER_00]: So as this is happening, Serena is leaving a message for Dan and is like, I'm so sorry and like, I hope that we can be okay.
1:23:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't really tell if she's trying to get back together with Dan, but she's definitely contrite in the call for everything that happened and it seems like maybe she's looking to make amends, but I don't know if that means romantically or just like if they can be cool as friends.
1:23:22
[SPEAKER_00]: As that's happening,
1:23:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, Rachel is freaking bedding, Dan, and as they're fucking, they Dan missed the call and I also think Rachel is missing her call saying like she is a teacher again.
1:23:37
[SPEAKER_00]: So that's the episode, guys.
1:23:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry that that was probably brutal to listen to, but it won't happen again.
1:23:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I freaking promise, again, AI is messing up my synopsis situation, I'm just going to go to Netflix.
1:23:56
[SPEAKER_00]: So guys in the meantime while I pull this up, we'll probably have another Traders episode on Tuesday of everything in our lives go perfectly right.
1:24:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and then so make sure you watch last night's episodes on peacock today and yeah, so that's up a piece follows an Instagram, do all this stuff they carry on on the asks you to do and let me tell you, the synopsis.
1:24:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, the age of dissonance, the age of dissonance season two episode 18.
1:24:31
[SPEAKER_00]: But the seniors put on a production of the age of innocence, chucking lists help from an unlikely source.
1:24:37
[SPEAKER_00]: His anemesis, harder, bays and crazy, crazy stuff, gardeners, backs of ash and stand back on the screen.
1:24:45
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, we love you guys so much and sorry that the end of this episode was a little bit unconventional.
1:24:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry for all of our rants, but I hope you enjoyed and we love you and splat and of course
