Welcome to Bible Chat, where we have devotional conversations

rooted in Scripture and relevant for today, January 1st Stay
• 0:11
planted, stay strong. Have you ever noticed how storms
• 0:14
don't ask permission before they hit?
• 0:16
One day things feel calm and the next you're dealing with
• 0:19
pressure, temptation, insecurity, or decisions you
• 0:22
never expected to face. And in those moments, what
• 0:25
you're rooted in really shows. Proverbs chapter 1, verses one
• 0:29
to seven, opens with a powerful reminder that God's wisdom isn't
• 0:33
reserved for scholars, pastors, or people who have been walking
• 0:37
with Him for decades. It says wisdom is given to offer
• 0:40
prudence to the simple knowledge and discretion to the youth.
• 0:44
That means God cares deeply about guiding you right where
• 0:47
you are, not later, not when you're older, but now.
• 0:50
Psalm 1 paints this unforgettable picture of a
• 0:53
person who delights in God's instruction.
• 0:56
It says that person is like a tree planted by streams of
• 0:59
water, yielding fruit in season with leaves that do not wither.
• 1:03
Trees don't panic when storms come.
• 1:06
They don't uproot themselves. They stay planted.
• 1:08
Their strength comes from what's beneath the surface.
• 1:11
In the same way, when your life is rooted in God's Word, you
• 1:14
don't have to fall apart every time life gets hard.
• 1:18
You're being nourished constantly, even when you don't
• 1:20
feel it. Being planted doesn't mean life
• 1:23
is easy. It means you're connected to a
• 1:25
source that keeps you alive, growing, and steady.
• 1:28
In a world that constantly pushes shortcuts, trends, and
• 1:31
quick fixes, God invites you into something deeper and
• 1:34
stronger daily time in His Word, honest prayer, and choosing His
• 1:39
wisdom over impulse may not always feel exciting, but over
• 1:42
time they build a faith that can stand.
• 1:45
You may not see fruit immediately, but growth is
• 1:47
happening and when the right season comes, it will show.
• 1:50
Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank You for
• 1:53
offering me wisdom and direction right where I am.
• 1:56
Help me stay planted in Your Word, especially when life feels
• 1:59
overwhelming. Strengthen my roots so I don't
• 2:02
get shaken by pressure or fear. Teach me to trust that you are
• 2:05
growing something good in me, even when I can't see it yet.
• 2:08
In Jesus name, Amen. What if the ache you feel for
• 2:12
more is actually God calling you deeper?
• 2:15

Psalm Chapter One World English Bible Blessed is the man who
• 4:14
doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the
• 4:17
path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers, but his
• 4:21
delight is in Yahweh's law. On His law he meditates day and
• 4:25
night. He will be like a tree planted
• 4:27
by the streams of water that produces its fruit in its
• 4:30
season, whose leaf also does not wither.
• 4:32
Whatever he does shall prosper. The wicked are not so, but are
• 4:36
like the chaff which the wind drives away.
• 4:39
Therefore, the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor
• 4:42
sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
• 4:44
For Yahweh knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the
• 4:47
wicked shall perish. Thanks for joining us on Bible
