- 0:05Speaker 1: All right.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Now, I'm trying to think of the most expensive thing
- 0:14Speaker 2: that I like, collectible that I bought.
- 0:17Speaker 1: You've ever heard the most I've paid? Yeah, And.
- 0:24Speaker 2: I think it was it was now my shield was
- 0:27Speaker 2: my cap shield was essentially free and it's probably one
- 0:34Speaker 2: hundred and fifty dollars.
- 0:36Speaker 3: I'm surprised. I would have thought you would have spent
- 0:38Speaker 3: more than that on something.
- 0:39Speaker 2: And that was for the Twilight Zone Napkin Napkin dispenser
- 0:43Speaker 2: with the devil Head on it, you know, from the
- 0:45Speaker 2: one which is great episode was shatter on it.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Yeah, But an anonymous Star Wars collector, yeah, has paid.
- 0:57Speaker 2: For Darth Vader's original lightsaber at props to Auction in
- 1:00Speaker 2: Los Angeles, setting a new record for the highest amount
- 1:03Speaker 2: ever paid for a Star Wars prop. This is a
- 1:06Speaker 2: screen matched weapon wielded by the late Dave Prows during
- 1:11Speaker 2: filming of Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi,
- 1:15Speaker 2: including the I Have Your Father scene. You know, it
- 1:20Speaker 2: has visible battle damage on it from production chips and cracks.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Three point six million dollars.
- 1:28Speaker 3: And it's anonymous who got it right?
- 1:30Speaker 2: We don't well when they it's it's probably some silicon
- 1:33Speaker 2: Valley Tech bro.
- 1:34Speaker 1: You know, but three point six million.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Dollars that kind of money to spend on that.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Yeah, like that's after you've bought houses and cars and yachts.
- 1:46Speaker 3: In Pool, pol And. If you've got money, then there's
- 1:50Speaker 3: money left over we.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Spend on something like that.
- 1:52Speaker 3: So why not?
- 1:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's just crazy. You know, there are kids who
- 1:57Speaker 2: could use school lunches. You know, you could do that too,
- 2:00Speaker 2: I suppose.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Let's see.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Now I did not know this, but the Adams Family
- 2:07Speaker 2: series Wednesday on Netflix. They just dropped the second half
- 2:11Speaker 2: of the season last week and it has been renewed
- 2:15Speaker 2: for season three, which was news to me. Now, the
- 2:19Speaker 2: creators of the show said they can expect the third season.
- 2:26Speaker 2: They kept it spoiler free, but they told everybody examine
- 2:29Speaker 2: season two's final episode, which lays a nice breadcrumb that
- 2:34Speaker 2: leads audiences to wonder what the new adventure for Wednesday
- 2:38Speaker 2: will be in season three. But they say that if
- 2:40Speaker 2: you look close and pay attention.
- 2:42Speaker 4: But are we going to have problems with Jenna or
- 2:45Speaker 4: Taga not being a teenager anymore? And how do you
- 2:51Speaker 4: keep playing Wednesday when.
- 2:53Speaker 3: You're growing up? Well, you just you have Wednesday grow up.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Why not, Maybe you do. Maybe maybe that's the next movement.
- 3:03Speaker 3: This is why the Simpsons has worked for so long.
- 3:07Speaker 3: They can all be the same.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Well, I've noticed, I've noticed Bart aging.
- 3:16Speaker 2: We're we're all enjoying that. I've got a story about
- 3:19Speaker 2: the Alien Earth show coming up. Uh huh, just real quickly,
- 3:24Speaker 2: here did you see Alien Romulus?
- 3:26Speaker 1: I don't think I saw that pretty good?
- 3:30Speaker 2: And this guy Fede Alvarez wrote and directed it, and
- 3:35Speaker 2: you know, blessed by Scott Free Productions and everybody who
- 3:40Speaker 2: runs the franchise.
- 3:41Speaker 1: He did a terrific job.
- 3:43Speaker 2: And for some reason he's not doing the sequel, the
- 3:48Speaker 2: sequels going forward. Maybe he's he says, I'm something else says,
- 3:52Speaker 2: I'm going to produce it with Ridley Scott. We're going
- 3:55Speaker 2: to produce it together, but we're going to get a
- 3:57Speaker 2: different filmmaker we which is unfortunate because I quite enjoyed it. Actually,
- 4:03Speaker 2: boy that the Alien Earth is it is and it
- 4:06Speaker 2: just keeps getting better. And here's the thing about Noah
- 4:10Speaker 2: Hawley is that some time ago.
- 4:13Speaker 1: He was a showrunner and creator. Yeah, did Fargo, all
- 4:16Speaker 1: those shows.
- 4:18Speaker 2: He you know, was asked by Paramount, what would you
- 4:23Speaker 2: do with Star Trek and he said, I'd love to.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Let's talk about it. So they sat down. Because you know,
- 4:33Speaker 2: we got news that another Star Trek movie is coming,
- 4:35Speaker 2: but it will not be his, he says. When asked
- 4:40Speaker 2: some time ago, he said, we're not doing Kirk, We're
- 4:42Speaker 2: not doing Picard.
- 4:43Speaker 1: We're starting from scratch.
- 4:44Speaker 2: And that allows me to do what we did with
- 4:46Speaker 2: the Fargo show. Completely different, completely different.
- 4:51Speaker 3: But but reminiscent.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but he's finally he's finally come forward and said here,
- 4:57Speaker 2: you know, here's here's what happened.
- 4:59Speaker 1: He said, it was great.
- 5:00Speaker 2: We had sound stages built in Australia, we were on
- 5:04Speaker 2: the runway, we were negotiating with actors. Mostly, what I
- 5:09Speaker 2: can say is that it was a really hard loss
- 5:12Speaker 2: because we got so close. It was an original story
- 5:16Speaker 2: that was not Chris Pine Captain Kirk. I guess the
- 5:19Speaker 2: thing that might stick with people is that there was
- 5:21Speaker 2: an unboxing of data, the idea of the Android, and
- 5:26Speaker 2: that was to become an element in the films, which
- 5:31Speaker 2: I think he has brought over now into Alien Earth.
- 5:36Speaker 3: So all of that went away, that's never happened, that's
- 5:38Speaker 3: not going to happen.
- 5:39Speaker 2: But I think he took that being an android thing
- 5:42Speaker 2: and is putting it in Alien Earth. He also added
- 5:46Speaker 2: it was an adventure because I loved the Wrath of Khan.
- 5:48Speaker 2: My favorite moment was when Chatner puts on his reading
- 5:51Speaker 2: glasses and lowers con shields. It costs nothing, but I
- 5:55Speaker 2: love the creative problem solving. They outsmarted their enemies. That
- 5:58Speaker 2: was my favorite kind of story telling. I really wish
- 6:02Speaker 2: they would have let him go forward with whatever it
- 6:04Speaker 2: was that he had planned, because, like I said, Alien
- 6:06Speaker 2: Earth is just terrific.
- 6:08Speaker 3: So good.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Let's see Mark Ruffalo and Ryan Reynolds are denying that
- 6:15Speaker 2: they're in doomsday.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I thought you were going to say that they were
- 6:19Speaker 1: in love.
- 6:20Speaker 3: We are not in love.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Let's see Ruffalo.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Oh, Ruffalo was being asked specifically about the New Spider
- 6:28Speaker 2: Man movie because the story is is that his new
- 6:30Speaker 2: adult mentor is going to be Bruce Banner. And here's
- 6:35Speaker 2: and Ruffalo is really bad about spilling the beans.
- 6:37Speaker 4: Oh was I supposed to not say exactly?
- 6:41Speaker 2: So I think he's like overcorrecting now because here's what
- 6:45Speaker 2: he had to say. This was his He says, if
- 6:47Speaker 2: I'm doing that, which the rumors are that I am,
- 6:51Speaker 2: once I get a script, I'll know it's real.
- 6:55Speaker 1: And that's all he's saying.
- 6:56Speaker 2: I think he got in so much trouble before when
- 6:58Speaker 2: he what he was doing Infinity Warning. He says, well
- 7:01Speaker 2: then everybody dies. Huh, And don Chie Adel looked at
- 7:06Speaker 2: him like, what are you?
- 7:07Speaker 3: What's wrong?
- 7:09Speaker 2: And now Ryan Reynolds is saying that he's not in
- 7:11Speaker 2: doomsday because he posted an anarchy symbol over the Avengers
- 7:17Speaker 2: a right on his social media and he says, that
- 7:20Speaker 2: thing I posted is just a variant of a flag
- 7:22Speaker 2: that we used in Deadpool and Wolverine.
- 7:24Speaker 1: It was my favorite and for some reason, you watch it, watch.
- 7:27Speaker 2: A movie later that has many aults of all that stuff,
- 7:29Speaker 2: and you go, why didn't I choose that one? There
- 7:31Speaker 2: were five great jokes for that, and you know, he said,
- 7:34Speaker 2: I just put it out there. So Ryan, you're trying
- 7:37Speaker 2: to tell me that you just happened to be rewatching
- 7:41Speaker 2: Deadpool and Wolverine and went, oh, we ain't buying it.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Well, I believe it over correctly, I think again.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Oh, and everybody's excited about Lego Star Trek because we've
- 8:02Speaker 2: never had proper Legos Star Treks before. We've always had
- 8:05Speaker 2: like blocks or whatever, it was, but never proper legos
