- 0:04My name is Victor Ferman. Some call me the Voice. I've always been
- 0:10fascinated with human nature, spirituality, science and the crossroads at which they meet.
- 0:17Join me now and we will explore these topics and so much more with
- 0:22fascinating guests, authors and experts who will guide us to Destination Unlimited. Those
- 0:34of us of a certain age have fond memories of the Rogers and Hammerstein musical
- 0:40The King and I, and especially the song getting to Know You? What
- 0:46about getting to know Yourself? Are their practical ways of understanding who you are,
- 0:52why you are, and how you may embrace your best life. My
- 0:57guest this week on Destination Unlimited, Georgina Cannon, has collaborated with several experts
- 1:03to share twenty ways to find the true you. Georgina Cannon teaches hypnosis at
- 1:08the University of Toronto and privately teaches past life regression and life between Lives facilitation.
- 1:15She has spent more than twenty four years working as a counselor and coach
- 1:19and currently specializes in major life changes, relationship challenges, and emotional issues.
- 1:26Her website is Georginacannon dot com and she joins me this week to share her
- 1:32wisdom experience and latest collaboration with Luminaries of Multiple Modalities, your guide to self
- 1:40discovery. Please join me in welcoming to Destination Unlimited, Georgina Cannon. Welcome,
- 1:47Georgina, Thank you, thank you for asking me to be here.
- 1:51Is a delight. Georgina, Please share with our listeners your early path and
- 1:56how it shaped your understanding of both consciousness and unconsciousness. I think I came
- 2:04into that naturally. I mean I was born in England, and we are
- 2:08very aware of the unconscious super conscious, in the way of spirits and ghosts
- 2:15and fairies, and we believed in fairies at the bottom of the garden,
- 2:20and we know there's more than just us. We don't talk about it every
- 2:25day, but it's just part of our history. It's just part of who
- 2:29we are. So when I came and by the way, in England,
- 2:32I was started off as a secretary and then became a journalist. And when
- 2:38I came to Canada, I came as a journalist and from there I was
- 2:46very surprised that North Americans didn't get it, didn't understand that our such things
- 2:51as ghosts and spirits and fairies and goblins and all things supernatural, and I
- 3:00came to Canada, loved the country because it's a beautiful country, and was
- 3:07a journalist here for a while and then opened my own public relations company and
- 3:13that grew with some fascinating clients and we did some wonderful special events until a
- 3:22very large international public relations company came into Canada and wanted to open up in
- 3:28Canada and asked if I would be willing to join them they would buy my
- 3:30company, which I at that time I wasn't sure, but my then husband
- 3:37said, oh, come on, you know, go talk to them,
- 3:39see what they say. And I went to New York and met the founder
- 3:46and he showed me why he wanted me. He wanted me to join his
- 3:50team that would be flown around the world to work with other clients and specialty
- 3:54and he said, my specialty was innovation and creativity, new ways of looking
- 4:00at old problems situations. So how can I turn that down? So I
- 4:04joined them and as creative director for Canada, and after a few years they
- 4:11promoted me to managing Director Canada with four officers across the country. And it
- 4:15was very seductive, it was extraordinary. In My daughter, of course,
- 4:20loved it. She loved her mother being a mogul, but I don't know.
- 4:25I was one of three senior women worldwide, and at that time it
- 4:29wasn't a comfortable place to be a senior woman in industry, any industry,
- 4:34and I just couldn't take it anymore, and eventually I left and looked for
- 4:40something else to do. So I looked around and studied reiki, got my
- 4:45reiki master, studied costult therapy, psychodrama, I looked at color therapy,
- 4:55I even looked at massage therapy. Realized it wasn't for me that happened upon
- 4:58hypnosis, and realized that was it because I understood that the subconscious drives us,
- 5:05drives humanity, and I also knew that was the way through to spirituality.
- 5:13So in nineteen ninety seven I took my certification at the National Guld of
- 5:20Hypnotists, and in nineteen ninety eight I opened up the Ontario Hypnosis Center,
- 5:27Clinic and School, and it grew to be Canada's largest school, where I
- 5:33taught past life Regression Facilitation which i'd studied under it, the wonderful Henry Bow
- 5:38Look, and Life Between Lives under Michael Newton, and then I sold it
- 5:45ten eleven years ago because I got sick, and unfortunately it's just gone downhill
- 5:49since then, and the person who bought it has disappeared, so no longer
- 5:55exists. But I still see clients a couple of days a week, and
- 5:59I teach. Was invited to teach at the University of Toronto Continuing Education,
- 6:04and I teach hypnosis there and three semesters, three different types of semesters,
- 6:09including spiritual hypnosis. And I write books and articles, and I have a
- 6:15newsletter. And up until last week, I was doing and I will do
- 6:21it again, a weekly free meditation every Friday at noon Eastern Standard time.
- 6:28But I've stopped that for a while. I just need a bit of a
- 6:30rest. Tell us about your first experience with hypnosis and what it meant to
- 6:35you. I first experienced with hypnosis. First of all, I realized that
- 6:46I'm living in trance a lot of the time. A lot of what I
- 6:50do is automatic, and therefore, if it's automatic, it comes in subconscious
- 6:59mind. If it comes in subconscious mind, it's automatic. Now that's just
- 7:02hypnosis. But my first experience with past life regression, that was a whole
- 7:09other thing. Is that what you're interested in Actually, we'll talk about that
- 7:14a little bit later, but I'm just curious as to that first session that
- 7:18you had. Okay, the first session I had with a client. They
- 7:23came in, they came in four oh, I know it was fear of
- 7:28flying. They came in for fear of flying, and I used the protocol
- 7:34we called systemic desensitization, and they couldn't believe how well it worked and how
- 7:42easily it worked, because in normal psychotherapy, the psychotherapist desensitizes you bit by
- 7:53bit over weeks. In hypnosis, because the subconscious mind doesn't understand that between
- 8:00real or imagined, it can happen in half an hour or forty five minutes.
- 8:05So you take the client through their fear in ten different steps, and
- 8:11they experienced it subconsciously and they can let it go, and it's total magic.
- 8:18In fact, it's so magical that when I was teaching that particular protocol
- 8:22one year, I had a class for about thirty four thirty five people.
- 8:26The dean of the School of Social Work at the University of Toronto was in
- 8:31my class and I said, now you're going to learn today how to release
- 8:35fears and phobius in thirty minutes or forty five minutes or at most sixty minutes
- 8:39or even very occasionally two sessions, and he put his hands up with sichrigina.
- 8:45That's impossible. It doesn't work. I know it doesn't work. Up.
- 8:48You know, I've been a therapist for many years. So I said,
- 8:52okay, let's have a bet. So we had a ten dollar bet.
- 8:56Long story short. He paid me at the ten dollars and he's the
- 8:58one that got me into the School of Social Work, which eventually got me
- 9:03into the main school at University of Toronto's School of Continuing Studies. So it's
- 9:11powerful. Our subconscious mind manages who we are and how we are at every
- 9:20stage of our being. Our body, our mind, our thoughts, our
- 9:24patterns, good and bad are all come from the subconscious mind. Our long
- 9:31term memory comes from our self conscious mind. Our short term memory is our
- 9:37conscious mind. Our willpower is our conscious mind. But eighty percent of what
- 9:43we do every day is what we did yesterday eighty percent, if not more,
- 9:48and that all comes from subconscious minds. So that's why hypnosis is so
- 9:52powerful. And I teach you my clients self hypnosis so they can do it
- 9:56themselves. For those who have never experienced gnosis or may have misconceptions about it
- 10:01based upon fictional offerings, or what is hypnosis like? Or it feels like
- 10:07a relaxation, And many people for the first time say, I don't think
- 10:11I was in hypnosis because I didn't feel different. I think that people expect
- 10:16to either bark like a dog or levitate or something. What happens is you,
- 10:20it's you know what. It's the same brain waves as meditation, exactly
- 10:24the same brain waves. The only differences the goal is different. So with
- 10:30meditation you're going in for peace, and for hypnosis you're going into the same
- 10:37brain waves to make change. So how are you feel in meditation? The
- 10:45same level of brain waves, the same level of settling down and relaxation or
- 10:52focus. You don't have to relax, you can focus. Same level of
- 10:56focus is hypnosis. And by the way, you can hypnotize people, and
- 11:01I have done so on a highway when there was a crash. You can
- 11:05hypnotize people at Grand Central Station. You don't need to be quiet and you
- 11:09don't need to be relaxed. It's just focus. I think a lot of
- 11:13people in Grand Central Station would from a lot of people Grand Central Station on
- 11:20a hypnosis automatically go to the track that they go to every day without thinking
- 11:24about it. This is true of that programming. Your new book, Your
- 11:26Guide to Self Discovery. In that book, you share a fascinating story about
- 11:31your first past life regression and the healing that it produced. Please tell us
- 11:35about that. Oh yes, I was at Henry Bullduke's teaching in the Blue
- 11:43Hills of Virginia and for the first time, we had partnered up and we're
- 11:50being facilitated by a partner in the class. And this was the experience.
- 11:56And the gentleman I was working with said to me, do you have a
- 12:01goal? Because we can always ask for a goal, although we won't necessarily
- 12:05get there, because the soul takes us where it thinks we need to go.
- 12:09So I said, sure, why not. I've had migraines at least
- 12:11once a month ever since I can remember. Let's see if I can get
- 12:15rid of my migraines. There he said, okay, we can ask.
- 12:20So he facilitated me into hypnosis and suddenly I had this stench. It was
- 12:28a smell like rotting garbage, and it took me a while to realize what
- 12:35it was. I thought, I was in a garbage jump or something,
- 12:37and I realized it was me. I was stinking, I was smelling of
- 12:43garbage. And then I saw myself, an old, haggard woman. I
- 12:50don't know how old I was. I could have been quite young, but
- 12:54I was obviously reft in many levels, with very few teeth, stringy hair,
- 13:01filthy, barefoot, living in a cave, and very very very thin.
- 13:09Now I was close to death from starving. I lived outside of a
- 13:13village, and my role and my interaction with that village was to provide herbs
- 13:20for the women who were going through pregnancy or abortion, or if they were
- 13:26having a trouble pregnancy. They'd called me down, so I acted as a
- 13:31sort of midwife, and if they remembered, if they remembered, they paid
- 13:35me in food. They rarely remembered, they dismissed me once the job were
- 13:41done. One day, I get called down to the village into a field
- 13:46that they used to call it the birthing field, where the women would go
- 13:50to give birth, and they would always have a group of five or six
- 13:54women around them helping and singing and chanting. And this woman was lying there
- 14:00screaming, and there was blood everywhere. She had half given birth to a
- 14:07huge baby that had died on the way out. So I pulled it from
- 14:13her and it was dead, and then she just screamed once more and died.
- 14:22She had bled out. The women scattered and left me with these two
- 14:26corpses. There was nothing I could do except with my bare hands scrabble in
- 14:35the earth and bury them. I did the best I could. I dragged
- 14:39my weary self up back up to my cave. I was exhausted and fell
- 14:46fast asleep. The next thing I knew, I was brutally awaked. I
- 14:52felt this violent pain in the side of my body, and I looked up
- 14:56and there was this man standing over me, smelling as if he was drunk.
- 15:01He obviously had something to drink, and he was yelling, you killed
- 15:05my son, You killed my son. And I tried to scamper away,
- 15:09but he knocked me down and he picked up this huge rock and smashed it
- 15:18over my head, on the left side of my head, by my temple,
- 15:22over my eye, and I instantly died. The facilitator, remembering the
- 15:30lessons we belonged, help me heal and forgive and let it go and bring
- 15:37the wisdom back from that lifetime. When I came back from that life,
- 15:43we were both deeply shaken. After all, this was a practice session.
- 15:46Who knew? And I waited for another migraine and never got another migraine.
- 15:56That healing from that journey that he did so eloquently and so expertly, let
- 16:03me leave it behind, and I'm still waiting for migraine, don't have anymore.
- 16:11That is such a wonderful sharing of both the experience, the understanding and
- 16:15the healing. Are all past life regression sessions as dramatic as that, Oh
- 16:22no, no, no, no, Many many of them are very ordinary.
- 16:26Many of them are people who may be farmers with big families, sometimes
- 16:30happy, sometimes rancorers, sometimes going through hardship, but the big event of
- 16:37each year is bringing in the harvest. So most lives are very ordinary.
- 16:42So when people say to me, how do I know I didn't make that
- 16:45up? Now, Stock answers to say, well, if you're going to
- 16:51make it up, you'd have become royalty or something rather grand and wonderful like
- 16:56Merlin. And of those sessions that you offered, the myriad of sessions that
- 17:00you've offered, is there one or two that stand out for you. Oh,
- 17:04I have so many. There's one that literally changed her life. This
- 17:15woman came to see me with her husband and she said she was going in
- 17:22for surgery for a pacemaker and she wanted to regress to find out who she
- 17:30was. And I said, what do you mean by that? And she
- 17:33said, well, when we don't know. But I was about seventeen or
- 17:36eighteen. I was found on a bench in Toronto. I found myself there
- 17:45with no identification. I was crying. I just didn't know where I was
- 17:48and I just was alone. I had some scrapes and scratches on me,
- 17:53but I didn't know how I got there. And this woman came up to
- 17:57music. Can I help you? And she took me home and gave me
- 18:02some tea and something to eat, and we phoned the police, but there
- 18:06was no record of any accidents. And I stayed with her for quite a
- 18:10while, and she gave me the name and she told me what her name
- 18:14was, which she's so what she's using. And she found out she loved
- 18:19to dance, so she joined the Arthur Murray Dance School as a teacher,
- 18:23and there she met her husband, and her husband and her and her medical
- 18:30doctor are the only people that know her story. She lives a very nice
- 18:36life in Canada. She teaches line dancing to seniors. She just lives a
- 18:41good life. She can't travel very far. She couldn't travel very far because
- 18:45she didn't have any papers. She didn't know where she came from, or
- 18:48didn't have any papers at all. So she asked. She said to me,
- 18:52I'm going in for surgery and I want to know who I am,
- 18:56just in case something happens in surgery. I'm frightened. I'm frightened that I
- 19:00won't come out of it. I want what to know when my husband wants
- 19:03to know who I really am. So I regressed her back and we got
- 19:08to about age of twelve, and she brought herself out and she said,
- 19:11no, no, no, no, no, I can't do it anymore.
- 19:12I just can't do this. I just can't. I'm so frightened.
- 19:17And she was absolutely terrified. So something was going on deep in her subconscious
- 19:22that hadn't come up before. So I put her bag into hypnosis and we
- 19:29left it where it was, and we worked on making her part of the
- 19:33team for the surgery, so that she would be part of the healing and
- 19:40not feel it was being done to her, which a lot of people do
- 19:42when they go in for surgery. She was part of the surgery team at
- 19:45a deep subconscious level. A few weeks later, she came back and she
- 19:51said, the doctors so surprised how quickly I healed. But most of all,
- 19:56Georgina, I want to complete that journey, and this time I'll stick
- 20:02with it. So we took her all the way back and I said to
- 20:04her, well, she said, I really want to know who I am.
- 20:08So I said, well, let's try something slightly different. Are you
- 20:11okay with that? So she said yes. So I regressed her back into
- 20:15the womb, and I asked her if she could hear her mother's voice before
- 20:21we went further back into past life, and she brought us and she was
- 20:25there for quiet for a moment, and she brought herself out and she said,
- 20:29oh my gosh, I know who I am. And she ran out
- 20:33of the hypnosis room into the waiting room and called her husband said I've got
- 20:37names, I've got names. I've got names, and they ran out.
- 20:41And now remember this was before the Internet when this first happened to her.
- 20:48So although they'd been in contact with interpool. They tried detectives, they tried
- 20:52everything. They didn't get anything. Now they had the Internet, so it
- 20:59seems that her husband put the names up in the search and a week later
- 21:03I got an email from her saying, Georgina, thanks to you, I've
- 21:08found my family. I come from North Carolina. And she said, my
- 21:14sister and her husband are coming in to meet with me next week and we
- 21:19want you to join us for lunch. Would you please do that. When
- 21:22I walked into the restaurant and I could have picked her out, they were
- 21:26like bookends. They looked exactly the same. It seems that she was one
- 21:30of the very large family children that were put into foster care very early because
- 21:34their parents were addicts, and she went from foster care to foster care,
- 21:40was ill, treated, had a hysterectomy at age twelve, and ended up
- 21:48being used and abused and just dumped, which is how she found herself on
- 21:52the park bench. But since then her life has changed. She went to
- 21:56the American embassy and got herself passport. She managed to get all of her
- 22:02papers and for a while there, every time she traveled, I'd get a
- 22:07card or an email saying guess where I am. I'm in London. Guess
- 22:10where I am? And it was lovely. That's life changing. That's the
- 22:15work beautiful. Thank you for sharing that. My guest is Georgina Cannon.

- 23:56Back on Destination Unlimited. My guest this week, Georgina Canna. We're going
- 24:00to be talking about her new book, Your Guide to Self Discovery, Twenty
- 24:04Ways to Find the True You. Georgina. Before we talk about the new
- 24:08book, let's talk about your previous books. How about Return Again. Return
- 24:15Again is about past lives and there's some chapters on the interlife as well.
- 24:22And it came about when the Canadian National Broadcasting Company asked me to do a
- 24:29series on past life regression for their Sunday news show and I said, no,
- 24:37I'm not going to do that. It's not a circus. You're going
- 24:40to put people into past lives the show. So the producer said, well,
- 24:45no, it's not a circus. We're with it. We're very serious.
- 24:48We take our work seriously. I said, we wanted to come to
- 24:52one of the my workshops and see what it involves. So she came to
- 24:55the workshop, was blown away and said leave it with me. And she
- 24:59came back and said, I've got a budget for a three part series.
- 25:03So she said, but the only caveat is we find the people. We
- 25:07do the research to prove whether it's real or not. You cannot interfere in
- 25:12that, and we will show what we find. So I said, terrific,
- 25:18I have one caveat, and that is you show that forgiveness and healing
- 25:22is important. She said, oh, we can do that. So they
- 25:26brought in thirty three people, of which I facilitated past lives for I think
- 25:32thirty of them. Three didn't go anywhere, of which ten they could verify.
- 25:37They had researchers around the world. They verified, They chose three that
- 25:42made good TV, and they put them on TV, and one of whom
- 25:48spoke in a language in the show that she didn't speak in this current life,
- 25:53which blew everybody away. And that was the genesis of the book.
- 26:00So Return Again is a book about what past lives are, what they're not,
- 26:07what's the difference between heaven and hell? And how you create heaven and
- 26:11hell on this earth. There's some also some case histories which are fascinating of
- 26:15course, and then there's some journeys into the interlife. In that book though
- 26:19called Return Again, there's also a journey that you can record for yourself to
- 26:25go and meet your soul group. So that is in my gift to the
- 26:27reader. So that's Return Again, and your next book is Third Circle.
- 26:38My next book is the Third Circle Protocol, which is about relationships. So
- 26:44every time we have an interaction with anybody victor you and I, or when
- 26:51I go to the supermarket myself with the cashier or my sister, or any
- 26:56relationship my boss, any relationship is forming an unspoken contract. And that unspoken
- 27:03contract is the Third Circle. What is expected from you and what you can
- 27:07expect from me, And it all starts with the relationship with yourself. And
- 27:12the first couple of chapters are about the relationship with yourself and how it's based
- 27:17on your values and your priorities, what you absolutely need bottom line with every
- 27:22relationship, what you want and what you're prepared to give. And then it
- 27:26goes into different relationships including relationships with your siblings, your parents, your boss,
- 27:33your employees, dating, your ex, your teenager, and a lot
- 27:41of women's groups are using this book, by the way for self worth self
- 27:45esteem. So that's the other book. And then there's this book, my
- 27:49current one, which I'm so excited about because I had some brilliant minds work
- 27:55with me on it, Your Guide to Self Discovery. Will Youse tell us
- 28:00what inspired this book? Okay? Oh? I was talking to a friend
- 28:06one day and we were discussing how we sometimes our own perception of ourselves is
- 28:11not how other people see us. And from that I was thinking about that
- 28:17later not from that, I realize that our perception of ourselves it's not really
- 28:22our perception. It's what society has given us. It's what our parents has
- 28:26given us and what it teaches, our job, our role in life has
- 28:32given us. But who are we really? So I thought, wouldn't it
- 28:36be fun to look at some of the older ancient esoteric protocols plus some new
- 28:44ones and make it sort of like a questionnaire that we go through. So
- 28:49I started researching some of the experts in various fields, including modern protocols like
- 28:56nero linguistic programming, and some of the older ones like working with animal guides
- 29:04or working with your astrology signs. And I realized that I could get all
- 29:12these people together in one room equal a book. Wouldn't that be fascinating?
- 29:22And so I started making the phone calls and everyone was fascinated by the idea.
- 29:26They thought it was a good idea, and for the reader, of
- 29:30course, it's very rare you get all these experts in one place. So
- 29:33you have it. And at the end of each chapter, by the way,
- 29:36for instance, if you take your chapter on birth order by Donna Marx,
- 29:41at the end of chapter there's questions, where are you in your birth
- 29:45order? How has that affected your life? So there's small little questionnaire at
- 29:49the end of each chapter, and then right at the end of the book,
- 29:53there's an opportunity for you to introduce yourself to yourself. Hello, my
- 30:00name is my birth order is this. I'm a firstborn, which means that
- 30:06I. My number in numerology is eight, which means that I. So
- 30:12you're introducing yourself to your new self. You get a wide perspective everything from
- 30:18your type of creativity, who your animal guide is, who your archetypes are,
- 30:27maybe even the name of your angels. Christoph Romero had helped you with
- 30:30that one. And then you're working with more modern things like your SWAT,
- 30:37which is strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and our pay As I mentioned
- 30:44before, how to get into your a cashic records? What did they say
- 30:47about you? What did you learn from Marie Saint Germain about your cashic records
- 30:52and your auras? Can you read your auras? If you couldn't before getting
- 30:56this book, you probably will be able to after you read that chapter and
- 31:03learn what it says about you. So you take all these pieces like a
- 31:06jigsaw and you make the new you, and this is really who you are.
- 31:12Oh, by the way, there's some beautiful drawings for hand reading,
- 31:18which I just love. And when I spoke to Lisa Greenfield about she's in
- 31:26La by the way, she works a lot with stars and satter people,
- 31:30And I said, how do you do it over zoom? Because you know
- 31:33during COVID, she I'll show you put your hand up against the screen.
- 31:37So I put my hand. I forget it's the screen, and she said,
- 31:38oh my, you're resilient. Oh, And I was taken back because
- 31:45I never thought of myself was resilient. But of course that's who I am.
- 31:48I am resilient, and she saw that in my hand. So she
- 31:52has given us some fabulous diagrams in the book and among the offerings from gifted
- 32:00authors and practitioners, several of which have been guests on my past shows.
- 32:04And one of my favorites is Kelly Sullivan Walden, who is known as Doctor
- 32:08Dream. Tell us a little of what she shares about recurring dreams and how
- 32:13they open us to self discovery. The thing that Kelly does is face which
- 32:19a lot of dream readers don't do bad dreams. So she talks about what
- 32:24happens if you have a bad dream and how to turn it around. And
- 32:29I think that is so important because our dreams are the part of us that
- 32:35the conscious mind doesn't want to acknowledge at this time. But the subconscious mind
- 32:40is sort of like knocking at the door saying pay attention here, pay attention
- 32:45here. So they tell you a lot about what's going on inside you,
- 32:51inside your mind, inside your being that needs attention. So her chapter is
- 33:00of information, very helpful and calming if you have bad dreams. And I've
- 33:07already heard from people who say, oh, thank goodness, I'm so grateful
- 33:10for this particular chapter because I've always dreamt that there was, you know,
- 33:15this happening in my life and that happening, and it's always negative, and
- 33:20now Kelly has showed me to how to turn it around. And Judy Wilkins
- 33:24Smith offers a piece on family constellations and self discovery. What are family constellations?
- 33:31How do they shape our lives? I have no idea. I read
- 33:38her chapter with awe and I think, how does she know that? And
- 33:44like all experts, it's deep, it's wide, but it's readable. Family
- 33:50constellations are basically what you inherit and the push and pull of the different roles
- 33:58people play in your family and sended family. But beyond that, I can't
- 34:02tell you to have to read her chapter. Read her chapter. Many years
- 34:07ago I had the blessing of an Akashak record reading, which proved to be
- 34:10both affirming and life enhancing for me. And in your Guide to Self Discovery
- 34:15you offer a piece by Maureene Saint Germain. What are the Akashak records?
- 34:21They are everything that your soul has experienced and may experience. And I say
- 34:29may not. Everybody agrees with me there, but they say I say may,
- 34:32because I believe we have free choice. May experience in depths in your
- 34:38many lifetimes and iterations, because we've had many iterations apart from lifetimes. But
- 34:45also it tells you the wisdom and shows you the wisdom that comes from these
- 34:50lifetimes things. It's an opportunity to get a huge aha that it maybe never
- 34:57occurred to you before. Is that what you got out of it? And
- 35:01yes, and from listeners who are familiar with Edgar Casey, he was a
- 35:05reader's also absolutely master lute. Indeed, you also offer a piece by Richard
- 35:13Webster about the aura and what the various colors mean. Yes, there's a
- 35:19couple of examples, tease us. L Yeah, he is an interesting person.
- 35:24He is someone who sees auras and takes it for granted. And I
- 35:30used to be like that until I switched it off because it gets in the
- 35:34way we can all see or it's only energy after all that manifests in a
- 35:39color. And Richard shows you how to see your aura and then what to
- 35:47do with what you find. And if you find that you are carrying a
- 35:52lot of deep anger that's getting in the way of your life, you cover
- 36:00it over. You pretend it's not there. It shows up in your aura,
- 36:02and then you can you know, we can't change anything until we recognize
- 36:07that it's there. So this is beautiful too. But it also shows if
- 36:10you're a natural healer, it allows you to embark on different paths or not
- 36:20necessary different, but an also path in your life when you find another different
- 36:25facet of yourself. Oh, I didn't know I had the healer in me.
- 36:30Well you do now after reading and Richard's chapter and looking finding your aura,
- 36:37and they're delightful. Doctor Paul at Sherman writes about our archetypes and what
- 36:44we may learn from them. What are some of the archetypes? Oh,
- 36:46I love. I use archetypes a lot in my coaching and counseling. Archetypes
- 36:52were created by Carl Jung. Originally they're they're the sections, if you like,
- 36:59or the breakdowns the different parts of our personality. So it ranges from
- 37:05hero to warrior, to victim, to mother to child to seek her adventurer.
- 37:15It runs the gamut. And I ask the client and she asks you
- 37:20to find out which are the top five or six archetypes that you are and
- 37:27how you can use them, because until you know what you are, how
- 37:30can you use it? So what I do with my clients. And this
- 37:35is a good thing to do once you've read the book and you find out
- 37:37your archetypes. Imagine these archetypes are sitting around a boardroom table. Give them
- 37:43some sort of costume or other, and ask them a question that you're stuck
- 37:47with. Should I stay in my job? Should I leave this place and
- 37:52move to another city? And ask each one of them. Ask the child,
- 37:58ask the creator, as the warrior. Ask each one and you'll get
- 38:01a different answer from each one of them. I call them your shadow cabinet
- 38:06archetypes. Knowing your archetypes are very important in how you make your choices in
- 38:10life because they're your strengths. And again you'll recognize the ones that are not
- 38:15so strong and you can do something about it. And Hung also coined the
- 38:21word synchronicity, meaning meaningful coincidences without causal connection. I've experienced those throughout my
- 38:29life, especially recognized since my late thirties when my spiritual path reopened. What
- 38:34about synchronicity or synchronicity is there all the time because partly we see what we
- 38:38look for. You know, if you're looking, if you're thinking about buying
- 38:43a new car, Suddenly you notice cars. If you're thinking about should I
- 38:47get a red car or a white car? I mean this way my mind
- 38:50works. Suddenly you see red and white cars, or I'm thinking, oh,
- 38:55winter's coming, I really do need to get some boots, and suddenly
- 38:59you see peop or wearing boots, or you see ads for boots. We
- 39:02see what we look for. So that's part of synchronicity. It's the same
- 39:07with numbers. People who are believe or believe I was going to say fixated,
- 39:14and that's not fair. People who believe in numbers that show up like
- 39:17two two two or eleven eleven and they mean something to them. If that's
- 39:24what they believe, then they will see numbers everywhere. If you don't believe
- 39:29in that, you don't even notice numbers. That's, for me, is
- 39:32what synchronicity is. We see what we look for. When we're out looking
- 39:37for someone who's kind, that's what we see. I've had the experience of
- 39:45synchronicity on a different level. Oh yes, yes, we're opportunities in my
- 39:50life. The expression on one door closes another opens. Yes, I've had
- 39:54them happen dramatically time after time, well, from what I know of you,
- 40:05I doubt very much that you were not open to opportunity. The timing
- 40:12is the amazing part about it. For me, it's just so without without
- 40:16it, literally without hesitation. My guest is Georgina Cannon. Her book is

- 42:51Machine back on Destination Unlimited. My guest this week is Georgina Cannon, her
- 43:06book Your Guide to Self Discovery, Twenty Ways to Find the True You.
- 43:12Of course, Your Guide to Self Discovery includes several chapters with your experience and
- 43:16wisdom of past life, regression and other topics. How me discovering what we
- 43:22have brought from our past lives and hands and heal our current life. Well,
- 43:30people would call it a comma right. So what we bring from past
- 43:35life to start with, we live in patterns. How we walk, how
- 43:38we talk, how we use our hands when we're talking, how we hold
- 43:43our coffee cup. These patterns are exacerbated by how we've we've lived in other
- 43:51lifetimes. So if we've lived in other lifetimes as a victim, and we've
- 43:57borne into a family where we're victimized in the time, unless we do something
- 44:01about it, less we recognize it as such and we change it, then
- 44:07we're doomed. If you like to be reborn into another lifetime as a victim,
- 44:15because we have to take charge and move from victim to hero. We
- 44:22can't keep blaming karma. You know, you can blame your mother, you
- 44:27blame the government, do you blame the weather, blame carma. But karmas
- 44:31in your hands, you can do something about it. Even the people in
- 44:38dire circumstances, in refugee camps, in poverty, in illness, terminal illness,
- 44:51there are always some people that rise to the top. When I say
- 44:55rise to the top, I don't mean become the boss. I mean operate
- 45:00from a platform of kindness towards others, find the best in life, change
- 45:06their view of where they are in their lifetime, and bring in some beauty
- 45:13and some joy into it. So I work a lot with clients on changing
- 45:17karmas, because you know, people come in and they say things like,
- 45:22how do I always choose losers? How do I always you know, why
- 45:27am I always stuck? Every time I start something? I shoot myself in
- 45:29the foot. And after we've looked at is it a current life issue,
- 45:35then we go into a past life and see if it's pattern that they brought
- 45:37in with them. So the pattern that you bring in from past lives is
- 45:43your karma. Sometimes it's good, sometimes not so good. It's not so
- 45:46good that you can do something about it. Does That's an important point.
- 45:52A lot of people think that karma is punishment. It's not punishment. Is
- 45:55no, no, no, not punishment. It's not punishment. It's just
- 46:01that you've chosen to be who and how you are because it's easier. It's
- 46:09following the pattern. You know, I was in my previous as an example.
- 46:14This is not me, but I'm just using it as an example.
- 46:16If you were in a previous lifetime as somebody who was a slave and beaten
- 46:23and treated really badly and had no identity, and then in this life,
- 46:31you know, in the in the same session, you went through another lifetime
- 46:36where maybe you were an eighteenth century wealthy, wealthy woman who was stuck in
- 46:42the house because society wouldn't let you go out and do what you wanted to
- 46:46do, which was teaching to travel, so you had no identity. And
- 46:52if you come into this lifetime of brutalized in a brutalized family where you're not
- 46:59allowed to speak to truth or even speak sometimes just told you stupid, that
- 47:05is the calma you brought in with you. So unless you realize that pattern
- 47:10and say no, not anymore. I'm going to break that chain. I'm
- 47:15going to do something different. I'm going to lift myself up out of it,
- 47:21recognize it, work with a professional to help you get there, whoever
- 47:24that professional is, and make the changes and start a new life, start
- 47:31a new pattern. Because really that's what calma is. I believe an opportunity
- 47:38to change, opportunities to change, to grow flourish, and to recognize what
- 47:45works, what doesn't work, and to move forward, right forward. Einstein's
- 47:50old expression about the definition of insanity, and I'm paraphrasing, is doing the
- 47:54same thing over and over again, expecting something a different outcome. Yeah,
- 48:00yeah, yeah. You also offer a chapter on relationships and what they may
- 48:06teach us. What are some of the clues we may learn from our relationships?
- 48:10Again, it's patterning. If we always choose people who are charming,
- 48:16you know, I was discussing this with someone yesterday. It's a difference between
- 48:21being nice and being kind. If you always choose relationships, both friendships and
- 48:29lovers that aren't nice or I don't know, they're handsome, charming, but
- 48:38underneath that like steel, and you go from one to another and it lasts
- 48:44two years, three years, and then you move on. Nothing clicks.
- 48:50That's where the mismatches. You haven't really looked at what you absolutely need and
- 48:55want in every relationship, first for yourself and then with the others. What's
- 49:01your bottom line deal breaker? For me? It's being heard, respect,
- 49:10kindness, time. Okay, You've got to know these things. And if
- 49:19you have friends that can't give you that, at least three of them,
- 49:24then you're not going to form a close and loving and permanent relationship. So
- 49:30it's important to know what you need in your relationship and what you're prepared to
- 49:35give. And just because someone makes you laugh, it's great. Humor is
- 49:40a great lovely thing to share between people. But if it's alone and that
- 49:45person belittles you in the laughter, no, I don't think so. So
- 49:51be very clear about what your boundaries are, what your requirements are, what
- 50:00you're looking for in your relationships, and what about in our business and work
- 50:06relationships? Same thing. If you work for a company that doesn't have your
- 50:14same values. You know, when I was in the corporate world, they
- 50:17used to say that a lot our most valuable asset goes down in the elevator
- 50:22every night. At five o'clock and we'd laugh because we weren't treated like valuable
- 50:29assets. So you have to know what the values are of the company you're
- 50:37working for. And if you have a boss or someone who rules your time
- 50:45and how you use your time, who doesn't treat you with respect, Now
- 50:52I'm not asking them to be your parent, I'm asking them to be your
- 50:58coach, your guide, your boss, but they have to treat you with
- 51:01respect and respect. What you know, what you want to learn, what
- 51:06you want to grow into. Then you don't belong there and know that,
- 51:10don't suffer, Know that it's time to move on. Own yourself. You
- 51:16are the CEO of your life. Own yourself. And what about soulmates?
- 51:24Are soulmates are real? Soulmates are real, but I don't think they're what
- 51:30some people think they are. My belief system, and it's only my belief
- 51:34system, is that soulmates are here to teach us. So it could be
- 51:42someone who drives you crazy at work, and you've learned to have patience with
- 51:45that person who Natizon and Natuzon and Natizon, so they've taught your patients.
- 51:52Or it could be an X who taught you how to have boundaries. Soulmates
- 52:00are not necessary your love, your soul love for life. They're there to
- 52:09teach you. Now, that doesn't mean that your soulmate can't be a person
- 52:15who you fall in love with and they fall in love with you, and
- 52:17you teach each other to be whole and blessed and kind and loved. It
- 52:27doesn't mean that. But everybody, in one way or another, particularly if
- 52:31they're difficult to get along with, I believe is a soulmate. And I
- 52:36remember a long time ago one of my therapists said to me, one day
- 52:39you will thank your mother. And I said, you've got to be a
- 52:43kidding. She said, I promise you one day you will, And eventually
- 52:46I got it because without her, I wouldn't be doing what I am today,
- 52:52and I wouldn't be the person I am today. She was my teacher,
- 52:59uncomble, unkind, bruttle. But look I learned big lessons from her,
- 53:10and the lessons that we learn in those situations. Yes, or how
- 53:15to open our hearts to others and become compassionate and loving people. Yes?
- 53:21Absolutely. What would you like readers to take away from your Guide to self
- 53:25Discovery? Twenty ways to find the true you. Oh, I'd like them
- 53:31to take away that you are so much more than you think you are.
- 53:37It's my job to help you find your magnificence, and through this book you'll
- 53:43be on your way. It is an exciting, fun, easy to read,
- 53:49engaging way of discovering your true self, who you truly are. And
- 53:55that's fun. Absolutely. I had the blessing of in my late thirties attending
- 54:02a series of what they used to refer to a spiritual gatherings or Friday evening
- 54:09gatherings here in New York. And this wonderful woman, who was well into
- 54:14her eighties at the time, was sponsoring these, and one evening there was
- 54:20a presentation. The speaker had come and I was not comfortable with the teachings
- 54:24that he was sharing. And this woman immediately recognized that I was uncomfortable with
- 54:30this. I never said anything, but just she could read my face and
- 54:32my expressions and your body language and my body language. And at the end
- 54:37of the evening, while people were leaving, she said, would you mind
- 54:39staying around for a few minutes, I'd like to speak with you. I
- 54:42said, of course, And she looked me in the eyes like a loving
- 54:45mother and said Victor, I want to share something with you. She said,
- 54:49God does not require us to be holy, but God would love for
- 54:52us to be whole. And that statement changed my life. Embrace that which
- 55:00we resonate with, let go of that which we do not, and in
- 55:04the process find our wholeness. Yes, it's lovely. Yes, my guest,
- 55:10Georgina Cannon, her book Your Guide to Self Discovery, Twenty Ways to
