Mega Edition: Did Jeffrey Epstein Put The Squeeze On Les Wexner (10/23/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

• 0:00
Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
• 0:04
  Speaker 1: Today's a bit of a slow day when we're talking
• 0:07
Speaker 1: about news in the world of Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell,
• 0:11
Speaker 1: and Prince Andrew. So, what we're going to do this
• 0:14
Speaker 1: morning is we're going to take a little trip back
• 0:17
Speaker 1: and we're going to hear from an ex-executive at Victoria's
• 0:21
Speaker 1: Secret who tells a story about how Jeffrey Epstein had
• 0:26
Speaker 1: a lot of influence, not only at Victoria's Secret, but
• 0:32
Speaker 1: also over Les Wexner. Now, I don't think there's nowhere
• 0:37
Speaker 1: near enough conversation about Les Wexner's role within Jeffrey Epstein's
• 0:42
Speaker 1: criminal enterprise. Now, there's a lot of people out there
• 0:45
Speaker 1: that'll make some pretty big assertions as far as Wexner goes,
• 0:50
Speaker 1: but I like to try and stay in the realm
• 0:51
Speaker 1: of reality, right? And the reality of the situation is this.
• 0:56
Speaker 1: There is nobody who was out there who was more
• 0:59
Speaker 1: of a patron to Jeffrey Epstein, who opened more doors
• 1:02
Speaker 1: in the beginning for Jeffrey Epstein, than Les Wexner, the
• 1:07
Speaker 1: King of Columbus. So, why don't we dive into this
• 1:11
Speaker 1: article from the Daily Mail, and let's see what author
• 1:16
Speaker 1: Keith Griffith has come up with. Headline, Jeffrey was an
• 1:21
Speaker 1: asshole and a con man. How top financial advisor to
• 1:25
Speaker 1: Victoria's Secret billionaire Les Wexner was squeezed out by Epstein's
• 1:29
Speaker 1: malicious rumors, lost his job and marriage, and was left
• 1:33
Speaker 1: living out of his car. Well, look, if you're an
• 1:36
Speaker 1: executive at Victoria's Secret, you should probably have made some
• 1:40
Speaker 1: pretty decent business decisions along the way as far as
• 1:44
Speaker 1: your investments go. You should never find yourself living in
• 1:47
Speaker 1: your car. If you do, well, you have probably made
• 1:51
Speaker 1: some bad life decisions along the way. Now I'm talking
• 1:54
Speaker 1: about for an executive here. The rest of us, well,
• 1:57
Speaker 1: we're all one paycheck away for the most part from
• 1:59
Speaker 1: being homeless, so I could see that for the rest
• 2:01
Speaker 1: of us. But if you're an executive at Victoria's Secret,
• 2:05
Speaker 1: you gotta think you were making pretty good money, right?
• 2:07
Speaker 1: Gotta think you have a rainy day war chest put aside,
• 2:11
Speaker 1: but I guess not. The former money manager of Leslie
• 2:16
Speaker 1: Wexner has spoken out about how Jeffrey Epstein forced him
• 2:20
Speaker 1: out of his job working for the billionaire founder of
• 2:23
Speaker 1: Victoria's Secret parent company, L Brands. Harold Levin headed up
• 2:28
Speaker 1: Wexner's private investment office from 1983 to 1990 when Epstein
• 2:33
Speaker 1: squeezed him out and left him penniless and living in
• 2:37
Speaker 1: his car. He told Vanity Fair in an interview published
• 2:40
Speaker 1: on Tuesday. So Epstein had so much influence over Les
• 2:44
Speaker 1: Wexner that he was able to push out Wexner's long-term
• 2:48
Speaker 1: financial guy and basically make the dude indigent. Now, it
• 2:55
Speaker 1: shows you the kind of influence that Epstein certainly exerted
• 3:01
Speaker 1: over Wexner. Now, the question has to be, why did
• 3:04
Speaker 1: he have so much influence over Les Wexner? That's the
• 3:08
Speaker 1: real question. He was an asshole. The most arrogant person
• 3:13
Speaker 1: I ever met, Levin said of Epstein, who forced him
• 3:16
Speaker 1: out of his job by falsely claiming that Levin was
• 3:18
Speaker 1: stealing from Wexner. Imagine that. The notorious thief and scoundrel,
• 3:23
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein, getting up there talking about, hey, yo, Lexi boy,
• 3:27
Speaker 1: somebody's stealing from you, pal. But, I think I need
• 3:32
Speaker 1: my memory refreshed. Isn't it Epstein who allegedly stole $ 47
• 3:36
Speaker 1: million from Wexner's bitch ass? See, you know, all of
• 3:40
Speaker 1: these people and all of their bullshit stories that surround
• 3:43
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein are all lies. I'll just call them what
• 3:47
Speaker 1: they are. They're lies. And people like Les Wexner have
• 3:49
Speaker 1: been able to get away with it for way too long.
• 3:56
Speaker 1: For decades, Wexner was Epstein's only publicly named client as
• 4:00
Speaker 1: a financial advisor. And the billionaire appears to be a
• 4:03
Speaker 1: key source of the $ 500 million fortune that Epstein left
• 4:07
Speaker 1: behind when he died in 2019. Well, we know it
• 4:11
Speaker 1: was more than that, $ 634 according to official reports, but
• 4:16
Speaker 1: come on. We know that old snaky hands Jeffrey Epstein
• 4:20
Speaker 1: had some money stashed offshore. The question is, where is
• 4:23
Speaker 1: that money? Who has access to it now? A cloud
• 4:29
Speaker 1: of mystery has surrounded the two men's relationship, and internal
• 4:33
Speaker 1: investigations commissioned by L Brands resulted in Wexner stepping down
• 4:37
Speaker 1: as CEO and then resigning from the board, though the
• 4:41
Speaker 1: findings were not made public. You know, have you seen
• 4:43
Speaker 1: the pattern here? Every single person that has been involved
• 4:47
Speaker 1: with Epstein on a personal level, on a intimate level,
• 4:52
Speaker 1: has been forced... into retirement from their jobs. They've been
• 4:56
Speaker 1: forced to step down from the companies they've created. And
• 4:59
Speaker 1: while it's not the kind of victory we all want, right?
• 5:03
Speaker 1: People being prosecuted and real justice coming for them. At
• 5:07
Speaker 1: least it's a start because previously we wouldn't have even
• 5:10
Speaker 1: gotten this far, right? With the men of always, they
• 5:13
Speaker 1: would have just laughed at this and kept going, oh,
• 5:15
Speaker 1: these are baseless rumors. And then their lapdogs in the
• 5:19
Speaker 1: legacy media Would have, you know, covered it up for them.
• 5:22
Speaker 1: Would have refurbished their image. But they can't do that anymore,
• 5:25
Speaker 1: can they? Because social media is around now. There's independent journalists.
• 5:29
Speaker 1: There's independent content creators. And most importantly, it's you folks
• 5:33
Speaker 1: out there that are going to hold these people accountable.
• 5:37
Speaker 1: And these journalists know that at this point. Levin's new
• 5:43
Speaker 1: account reveals how Epstein gained Wexner's trust over Levin's protests
• 5:47
Speaker 1: that the sex predator seemed to be a fraud and
• 5:50
Speaker 1: a con man, insinuating himself with the billionaire despite the
• 5:55
Speaker 1: advisor's warnings. So, again, Les Wexner had a longtime advisor
• 6:00
Speaker 1: in Mr. Levin here, right? And he called Epstein's bullshit
• 6:04
Speaker 1: from day one. Look, this dude's a con, he's a fraudster,
• 6:07
  Speaker 1: he's a snake oil salesman, and he's a grifter. You
• 6:10
Speaker 1: don't want anything to do with him, old Lexi, old boy.
• 6:14
Speaker 1: But Wexner, for whatever reason, decides it's a good idea
• 6:17
Speaker 1: to not only bring Jeffrey Epstein into his confidence, but
• 6:22
Speaker 1: to give Jeffrey Epstein the keys to the palace. This
• 6:26
Speaker 1: dude was in charge of the whole entire thing, folks.
• 6:34
Speaker 1: Levin said that he was thrilled to get the job
• 6:37
  Speaker 1: working for Wexner in 1983. earning a salary of $ 250, 000
• 6:41
Speaker 1: for managing the billionaire's fortune. So in 1983, Levin got
• 6:46
Speaker 1: this job. And now we all know how Victoria's Secret,
• 6:50
Speaker 1: L Brands, Abercrombie & Fitch, the rest of them, how
• 6:54
Speaker 1: they all blew up. And this was all during the
• 6:56
Speaker 1: time where Levin was working there. So we know that
• 6:58
Speaker 1: he knows what he was doing, right? It wasn't like
• 7:00
Speaker 1: he was a shitty financial advisor. to Les Wexner. So
• 7:05
Speaker 1: what did Jeffrey Epstein bring to the table that a
• 7:08
Speaker 1: seasoned professional like Levin did not? That is the question
• 7:12
Speaker 1: we must ask ourselves. Levin recalls that in 1989, Wexner
• 7:18
Speaker 1: asked him to meet with Epstein, whom he had never
• 7:20
Speaker 1: heard of, to discuss an investment proposal. Epstein was trying
• 7:25
Speaker 1: to explain a currency trade he wanted to do. I
• 7:27
Speaker 1: have an MBA from Ohio State, and I didn't understand
• 7:30
Speaker 1: a word the man said, Levin recalled to Vanity Fair. Well,
• 7:34
Speaker 1: that's because Epstein was a notorious bullshit artist, right? He'd
• 7:36
Speaker 1: talk about some nonsense and act like it was real,
• 7:39
Speaker 1: act like it was, you know, the truth. But in reality,
• 7:42
Speaker 1: he was just bullshitting around. And anybody who was hip
• 7:46
Speaker 1: to the financial sector or to some of these investments
• 7:50
Speaker 1: would have been able to peg that and be able
• 7:52
Speaker 1: to sniff it out. But unfortunately, Les Wexner certainly wasn't
• 7:56
Speaker 1: that man. And for whatever reason, he decided to forego
• 8:01
Speaker 1: the advice of his closest advisors and bring Epstein into
• 8:05
Speaker 1: his confidence while pushing everybody else who has been close
• 8:09
Speaker 1: to him out to the outer rings. Levin returned to
• 8:14
Speaker 1: Ohio and warned Wexner that Epstein was a fraud. I
• 8:18
Speaker 1: told Les, stay away from him, Levin remembered. Wexner agreed
• 8:21
Speaker 1: not to do the trade, but Levin was shocked when
• 8:24
Speaker 1: Epstein showed up in Ohio a few months later and
• 8:28
Speaker 1: announced that Wexner had put him in charge of his finances. Now,
• 8:31
Speaker 1: how does that happen? Can someone please explain to me
• 8:35
Speaker 1: how Wexner can come to this decision? There has to
• 8:38
Speaker 1: be some sort of something we're missing, right? Some sort
• 8:42
Speaker 1: of point in the story where Epstein really got his
• 8:46
Speaker 1: claws into Wexner. What is that point? Where did that
• 8:50
Speaker 1: Part of this story occur. Because again. You don't just
• 8:54
Speaker 1: forego all of the advice. Of the people who have
• 8:56
Speaker 1: gotten you there. To listen to some nobody. Who has
• 9:00
Speaker 1: no sort of resume. Who has no sort of clientele.
• 9:03
Speaker 1: Who has not been proven to be. Legit at what
• 9:07
Speaker 1: they do even. This is the guy that you're going
• 9:09
Speaker 1: to get rid of. All of your great advisors for.
• 9:16
Speaker 1: Levin tried to protest. But Wexner wouldn't take his calls.
• 9:20
Speaker 1: Furious at having to work under Epstein, Levin quit a
• 9:23
Speaker 1: few months later. So not only did he bring him
• 9:25
Speaker 1: in for his advice, Epstein, Epstein put, I mean, Wexner
• 9:30
Speaker 1: put Epstein in charge of even guys like Mr. Levin.
• 9:34
Speaker 1: And after all of those years of good hard service
• 9:36
Speaker 1: for Wexner, Levin felt like he was being disrespected, especially
• 9:40
Speaker 1: considering he was being replaced by a fraud like Jeffrey Epstein.
• 9:48
Speaker 1: Levin says that Epstein taunted him on the way out
• 9:51
Speaker 1: and ruined his career with false allegations that he had
• 9:54
Speaker 1: misappropriated funds. That's definitely an Epstein kind of move. not
• 9:59
Speaker 1: only am I going to force your way out of
• 10:03
Speaker 1: this company I'm going to ruin you so you can't
• 10:06
Speaker 1: be trusted or anything you say will be looked upon
• 10:10
Speaker 1: in doubt that way we're insulated here a little more
• 10:14
Speaker 1: all part of the plan for Epstein and he would
• 10:17
Speaker 1: you know plant these little stories or whatever and his
• 10:19
Speaker 1: little pals in the media would run with him. On
• 10:24
Speaker 1: my last day, Epstein walked into my office and held
• 10:27
Speaker 1: up a piece of paper. He bragged that Les had
• 10:29
Speaker 1: given him power of attorney over his money. I worked
• 10:33
Speaker 1: for Les for seven years, and I never had general
• 10:35
Speaker 1: power of attorney, Levin told the magazine. So again, how
• 10:39
Speaker 1: did Epstein have so much trust put in him? by
• 10:44
Speaker 1: Les Wexner, a man that hardly knew him, a man
• 10:47
Speaker 1: that had had to send Levin to go and fish
• 10:50
Speaker 1: to figure out who Epstein even was. Then, when he
• 10:53
Speaker 1: gets back, gives Wexner his report, tells him that Epstein's
• 10:57
Speaker 1: a fraud and a con man, Wexner still decides to
• 11:00
Speaker 1: get into business with him, huh? How does any of
• 11:02
Speaker 1: that make sense? Epstein also ordered him to surrender his
• 11:09
Speaker 1: equity in a real estate project, likely costing Levin millions,
• 11:14
Speaker 1: he said. Epstein basically said, if you want, you can
• 11:17
Speaker 1: fight it out, but I have a lot of lawyers,
• 11:20
Speaker 1: and I'll make sure it'll cost you a fortune, Levin recalled.
• 11:23
Speaker 1: That's how all of these rich people act, right? Bitch-ass cowards.
• 11:27
Speaker 1: Such cowards. Oh, we're gonna sue you to death. Ha
• 11:31
Speaker 1: ha ha ha ha. Have you met my high-power legal
• 11:34
Speaker 1: team led by Alan I Kept My Underpants On Deschewitz? Meanwhile,
• 11:40
Speaker 1: the rest of us are lucky we can even get
• 11:42
Speaker 1: a public defender at this point. Levin said that friends
• 11:49
Speaker 1: in the industry told him that Epstein was spreading rumors
• 11:51
Speaker 1: on Wall Street and in Ohio that Wexner had fired
• 11:54
Speaker 1: him for misappropriating funds. Levin couldn't find a job and
• 11:58
Speaker 1: his wife filed for divorce, taking custody of their three children.
• 12:03
Speaker 1: So this dude got absolutely ruined by Epstein, folks. Big
• 12:06
Speaker 1: time ruined. Epstein shows up, takes his gig, ends up
• 12:09
Speaker 1: losing his kids, loses his wife, living out of his car.
• 12:14
Speaker 1: I mean, geez. And again, it's not like Epstein's coming
• 12:19
Speaker 1: in here with all of these degrees and, you know,
• 12:21
Speaker 1: he's won a bunch of awards, and he's turned all
• 12:24
Speaker 1: these companies around, made all these companies profitable. None of
• 12:28
Speaker 1: that has occurred. So there is no reason, no good
• 12:31
Speaker 1: reason anyway, why anyone would let someone like Epstein, even
• 12:36
Speaker 1: not even knowing about the sexual stuff, just being a
• 12:40
Speaker 1: basic Padawan when it comes to financials, all of a
• 12:44
Speaker 1: sudden this guy is a Yoda? I had a nervous breakdown.
• 12:51
Speaker 1: I was living out of my car for a while,
• 12:53
Speaker 1: Levin recalled. Epstein ruined my life. I lost everything. Now,
• 12:58
Speaker 1: imagine Epstein ruined this guy's life, right? Now, think about
• 13:02
Speaker 1: all of those girls that were raped and abused and trafficked.
• 13:05
Speaker 1: Think about how their lives were ruined. Epstein wormed his
• 13:11
Speaker 1: way into Wexner's inner circle through his close friend, Robert Meester,
• 13:14
Speaker 1: whose firm handled insurance for L Brands, then known as
• 13:18
Speaker 1: The Limited. Meester revealed in an interview to Vanity Fair.
• 13:22
Speaker 1: Wexner long maintained a low profile and was little known
• 13:25
Speaker 1: outside of central Ohio, where the Limited was headquartered. That's
• 13:28
Speaker 1: just how they like it, right? Let me be in
• 13:30
Speaker 1: the shadows here. I don't want too much publicity. And
• 13:33
Speaker 1: it was easy for them to do that for so
• 13:35
Speaker 1: long before social media came around. Again, because these editors
• 13:40
Speaker 1: and the people who own these magazines and newspaper outlets.
• 13:44
Speaker 1: What do you think? They're hanging out with people like
• 13:46
Speaker 1: me and you? Or they're hanging out with people like
• 13:48
Speaker 1: Epstein and Wexner? Don't be foolish, folks. Don't think that
• 13:52
Speaker 1: the legacy media and their $ 20 million salaries and their
• 13:56
  Speaker 1: $ 60 and $ 80 million salaries like Maddow and Hannity, don't
• 14:00
Speaker 1: think these people care about you. They don't. They're entertainers.
• 14:07
Speaker 1: Meester recalled a party in Aspen when Donald Trump walked
• 14:10
Speaker 1: up to Wexner and said, Nice to meet you. Now,
• 14:13
Speaker 1: how did you get so fucking rich? Well, that sounds
• 14:15
Speaker 1: about right. I mean, sounds about right for Donald Trump's
• 14:19
Speaker 1: crude ass. Wexner has never been criminally accused of involvement
• 14:24
Speaker 1: in Epstein's sex crimes, and despite rampant speculation, no evidence
• 14:28
Speaker 1: emerged that the two men were romantically involved. Now, that's
• 14:32
Speaker 1: certainly a conversation a lot of people have had. speculation
• 14:36
Speaker 1: is that the two of them were romantically connected. Hey,
• 14:41
Speaker 1: believe whatever you want to believe, folks. Like I always
• 14:42
Speaker 1: tell you, I'm not here to, you know, make you
• 14:45
Speaker 1: believe anything one way or the other. I'm here to
• 14:47
Speaker 1: discuss this story and break it down and curate the
• 14:51
Speaker 1: whole entire thing. Me personally, I haven't really seen enough
• 14:54
Speaker 1: evidence to make that leap. But do I rule it
• 14:58
Speaker 1: out of the realm of possibility? I do not. There
• 15:01
Speaker 1: is not much here when it comes to this story
• 15:03
Speaker 1: that I rule out of the realm of possibility. I mean,
• 15:06
Speaker 1: come on. We've talked about Prince Andrew allegedly creeping over
• 15:09
Speaker 1: to Courtney Love's house at one in the morning. We've
• 15:11
Speaker 1: talked about ninjas. This story has it all, folks. In
• 15:19
Speaker 1: a film deposition featured in the Netflix documentary, filthy rich
• 15:23
Speaker 1: Brad Edwards, a lawyer for some of Epstein's survivors, asked
• 15:27
Speaker 1: Epstein if he had a sexual relationship with Wexner. Epstein
• 15:31
Speaker 1: denied it. In 1993, Wexner, then 55, married attorney Abigail S. Coppola, 31,
• 15:38
Speaker 1: and the couple now has four children. Epstein reportedly attended
• 15:42
Speaker 1: the ceremony and even arranged the couple's prenuptial agreement. Well,
• 15:47
Speaker 1: isn't that nice? I mean, look, might as well have
• 15:50
Speaker 1: an epic thief. set up the prenuptials so nobody gets
• 15:54
Speaker 1: thieved out, right? So Epstein definitely knows how a thief's
• 15:58
Speaker 1: mind works. So he's like, all right, let me write
• 16:00
Speaker 1: these prenups real quick. Wexner insists that he was duped
• 16:05
Speaker 1: by Epstein and ended their relationship after the Predators' first
• 16:09
Speaker 1: arrest in 2007 on charges of soliciting a minor for prostitution.
• 16:14
Speaker 1: No such thing as a minor that can be a prostitute.
• 16:17
Speaker 1: How many times do we got to discuss that? What
• 16:19
Speaker 1: a ridiculous law. Imagine if it was your daughter, 15,
• 16:23
Speaker 1: 16 years old. She gets trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein and
• 16:26
Speaker 1: then they say your daughter's a prostitute who he solicited. Yeah,
• 16:30
Speaker 1: that wouldn't send you people into berserker mode, sure. Being
• 16:37
Speaker 1: taken advantage of by someone who is so sick, so cunning,
• 16:41
Speaker 1: so depraved. It's something that I'm embarrassed that I was
• 16:44
Speaker 1: even close to, Wexner said during a speech in September 2019.
• 16:47
Speaker 1: So ridiculous, your boy Levin warned you, you didn't take
• 16:51
Speaker 1: his warning seriously, and you kept moving forward with your
• 16:53
Speaker 1: relationship with Epstein, and not only that, you built the
• 16:57
Speaker 1: ties deeper. In a letter to his charitable foundation around
• 17:04
Speaker 1: the same time, Wexner claimed Epstein had misappropriated vast sums
• 17:08
Speaker 1: of money from me and my family. Wexner first met
• 17:12
Speaker 1: Epstein around 1986 when Meester introduced them after meeting Epstein
• 17:17
Speaker 1: on a commercial flight to Palm Beach. He was a
• 17:20
Speaker 1: great bullshit artist, Meester told Vanity Fair, saying that he
• 17:24
Speaker 1: now believes Epstein aggressively cultivated him in order to gain
• 17:28
Speaker 1: access to his billionaire friends. Oh, and you were just,
• 17:31
Speaker 1: you know, such a shrinking violet that you had no
• 17:34
Speaker 1: idea what was going on. Isn't it funny that all
• 17:37
Speaker 1: of these rich people... who think that they're the smartest
• 17:40
Speaker 1: man in the room or smartest woman in the room
• 17:42
Speaker 1: every time they walk into a room, all of a
• 17:45
Speaker 1: sudden are so stupid when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein.
• 17:49
Speaker 1: We had no idea. We didn't know he was evil. Oh,
• 17:52
Speaker 1: he had a sex offense on his record. Meester said
• 17:58
Speaker 1: that Epstein invited him to play racquetball and began showing
• 18:01
Speaker 1: up in the gym's steam room while he was using it.
• 18:04
Speaker 1: In one conversation, Epstein falsely claimed that he had evidence
• 18:08
Speaker 1: that Wexner's money manager was stealing from him and asked
• 18:11
Speaker 1: to meet the billionaire to offer his services as a
• 18:14
Speaker 1: financial bounty hunter. And that was one of Epstein's schticks, right?
• 18:18
Speaker 1: A man that can find money that has been lost. Well, yeah,
• 18:21
Speaker 1: it's pretty easy to find money when it's been lost.
• 18:24
Speaker 1: If you're a thief and you know exactly where shit
• 18:27
Speaker 1: gets stashed in the financial sector, if you know all
• 18:29
Speaker 1: of the middlemen who are working these offshore, uh, uh, Yeah,
• 18:35
Speaker 1: very easy for you to be a financial bounty hunter.
• 18:40
Speaker 1: Soon after introducing him to Wexner, Meester says he heard
• 18:43
Speaker 1: disturbing stories about Epstein's sexual conduct and cut off contact
• 18:47
Speaker 1: with Epstein when he arrived at his, excuse me, sexual
• 18:52
Speaker 1: conduct and cut off contact when Epstein arrived at his
• 18:54
Speaker 1: Madison Avenue apartment unannounced with five models for his sexual entertainment.
• 19:00
Speaker 1: I told him, get the fuck out. And I never
• 19:02
Speaker 1: want to see you again, Meester recalled. Think of whatever
• 19:05
Speaker 1: the worst thing anyone could do is, and Epstein did
• 19:08
Speaker 1: them all. I walked away from Epstein a long time ago,
• 19:12
Speaker 1: and I've been trying to erase him from my mind
• 19:14
Speaker 1: ever since. Yeah, you and a lot of other people, pal.
• 19:19
Speaker 1: Last month, Wexner severed his last official ties with the
• 19:22
Speaker 1: retail empire that he founded in 1963, stepping down from
• 19:26
Speaker 1: the board after resigning as CEO. Wexner, 83, along with
• 19:31
Speaker 1: his wife, Abigail, did not stand for re-election to the
• 19:33
Speaker 1: board in May. In January, L-Brand shareholders filed a lawsuit
• 19:38
Speaker 1: alleging that the retail tycoon and his wife not only
• 19:41
Speaker 1: knew about Epstein's conduct, but allowed him to use their
• 19:44
Speaker 1: home for liaisons with victims. Now, we all know the
• 19:48
Speaker 1: story about Maria Farmer and her time with Les Wexner.
• 19:52
Speaker 1: I'm sure she's going to share a little more of
• 19:54
Speaker 1: that with us tomorrow. It further claims that Wexner was
• 19:58
Speaker 1: so close to Epstein that he knew or should have
• 20:01
Speaker 1: known that the dead pedophile was posing as a modeling
• 20:04
Speaker 1: recruiter for Victoria's Secret to prey on aspiring young girls.
• 20:10
Speaker 1: Bombshell allegations are part of a shareholder lawsuit brought against
• 20:13
Speaker 1: senior leadership at L Brands, the global fashion retailer. Now,
• 20:18
Speaker 1: how many times do I say that? You gotta be
• 20:21
Speaker 1: responsible if you're the boss. If you're the head honcho,
• 20:23
Speaker 1: you're the top dog, and this shit's happening at your company,
• 20:26
Speaker 1: you are the one responsible. Fix it or get out
• 20:29
Speaker 1: of the way and let somebody else do that. But
• 20:32
Speaker 1: the relationship between Wexner and Epstein is something that needs
• 20:36
Speaker 1: to be on blast. The spotlight needs to be put
• 20:38
Speaker 1: on it. And there's questions that have to be answered. Unfortunately,
• 20:44
Speaker 1: every single time you think you're going to get to
• 20:46
Speaker 1: one of those answers, only more questions remain. All right, folks,
• 20:52
Speaker 1: that is going to do it for this morning's update.
• 20:55
Speaker 1: Got some more episodes on their way for you. And
• 20:58
Speaker 1: then tonight I'll be back and we'll start it all
• 20:59
Speaker 1: over again. Now, remember, tomorrow I'll be joined by Maria Farmer.
• 21:04
Speaker 1: You definitely do not want to miss that one. All right, everybody,
• 21:08
Speaker 1: if you'd like to contact me, you can do that
• 21:10
  Speaker 1: at bobbycapucci at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. You can
• 21:18
Speaker 1: also find me on Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. The
• 21:25
Speaker 1: links that we discussed can be found in the description box.
• 21:28
Speaker 1: All right, folks, until later on. Chronicles. On this Look
• 21:32
Speaker 1: Back episode, we're going to discuss the alleged theft of
• 21:36
Speaker 1: millions of dollars from Les Wexner by Jeffrey Epstein. Spoiler alert,
• 21:43
Speaker 1: I don't believe it. Alright, so let's jump directly into
• 21:46
Speaker 1: the article, shall we? This is an article from ABC News. Headline,
• 21:52
Speaker 1: Billionaire businessman Leslie Wexner refuses to reveal full scope of
• 21:56
  Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's alleged multi-million dollar theft. I don't buy it
• 22:01
Speaker 1: for one second, folks. Haven't bought it then, still don't
• 22:05
Speaker 1: buy it now. Zero chance that Epstein stole money from
• 22:08
Speaker 1: this guy. More likely, that was the excuse they used
• 22:11
Speaker 1: and had it pre-baked in, in case Epstein ever got caught,
• 22:15
Speaker 1: that this would be Wexner's out. Oh, well, I had
• 22:17
Speaker 1: no idea what this guy was up to. In fact,
• 22:19
Speaker 1: he stole from me too. Nobody believes it. I mean, honestly.
• 22:25
Speaker 1: People want us to believe that Les Wexner, guys like
• 22:28
Speaker 1: Leon Black, were completely manipulated by this bonehead Jeffrey Epstein.
• 22:33
Speaker 1: Maybe if he had some blackmail on them, a little
• 22:36
Speaker 1: bit of compromise, but besides that, stop it. This article
• 22:41
Speaker 1: was authored by Mark Remillard, and it was published on
• 22:46
Speaker 1: January 23rd of 2020. Leslie Wexner, the billionaire founder of
• 22:52
Speaker 1: the L Brand's retail empire, who in 2019 accused disgraced
• 22:57
Speaker 1: financier Jeffrey Epstein of misappropriating vast sums of his personal
• 23:02
Speaker 1: fortune more than a decade earlier, has so far refused
• 23:06
Speaker 1: to reveal the full scope of that alleged multi-million dollar theft. Well,
• 23:11
Speaker 1: why should he? He's Les Wexner, right? And why did
• 23:14
Speaker 1: he wait all the way until Epstein was arrested the
• 23:16
Speaker 1: second time to come out on wax and tell us
• 23:19
Speaker 1: what happened here? Again, my opinion is that this was
• 23:23
Speaker 1: their baked-in scheme in case Epstein was ever caught so
• 23:28
Speaker 1: that they could get away with it. What else could
• 23:30
Speaker 1: it possibly be? You mean to tell me Les Wexner
• 23:33
Speaker 1: is just realizing this money is gone? In a letter
• 23:37
Speaker 1: sent to his foundation in August after Epstein was arrested
• 23:41
Speaker 1: in New York City on sex trafficking charges, Wexner disclosed
• 23:45
Speaker 1: that a $ 46 million donation in 2008 from Epstein, who
• 23:50
Speaker 1: served as Wexner's personal financial advisor for more than 15 years,
• 23:55
Speaker 1: to a foundation run by Wexner's wife, Abigail, represented only
• 23:59
Speaker 1: a portion of the funds that he recovered from Epstein.
• 24:04
Speaker 1: Personal Finance York for 15 Years man of the hour
• 24:09
Speaker 1: at Victoria's Secret, top dog in Leslie Wexner's doghouse. Yet
• 24:14
Speaker 1: you mean to tell me Wexner had no idea what
• 24:17
Speaker 1: was going on here? You mean to tell me we
• 24:19
Speaker 1: shouldn't believe what Maria Farmer said happened in New Albany?
• 24:25
Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but I don't believe one single word that
• 24:30
Speaker 1: Leslie Wexner or Jeffrey Epstein have to say. And the
• 24:34
Speaker 1: fact that Les Wexner is acting like he had no
• 24:37
Speaker 1: idea here, that he's suffering from Epstein amnesia all of
• 24:40
Speaker 1: a sudden, is laughable. These two were so close. If
• 24:44
Speaker 1: you're somebody's financial advisor for more than 15 years, chances
• 24:48
Speaker 1: are you guys are pretty close. Chances are you might
• 24:51
Speaker 1: have shared a couple of meals together. And chances are
• 24:54
Speaker 1: you've had some intimate conversations. In response to a series
• 25:01
Speaker 1: of questions from ABC News, however, a spokesperson for Wexner
• 25:05
Speaker 1: not only declined to specify the amount of money Epstein
• 25:08
Speaker 1: is believed to have misappropriated, but also declined to comment
• 25:13
Speaker 1: on whether that alleged misappropriation was even reported to the authorities.
• 25:18
Speaker 1: The foundation letter is the extent of our comments on
• 25:21
Speaker 1: this subject, the spokesperson told ABC News. It's always the same, right?
• 25:25
Speaker 1: They never want to really respond. They'll only give you
• 25:28
Speaker 1: a little tidbit. They'll only give you a little taste.
• 25:31
Speaker 1: And then what will happen is they hope that the
• 25:33
Speaker 1: 24-hour news cycle will re-erase your memory and have you
• 25:37
Speaker 1: thinking about whatever the new issue is. They must have forgot, though.
• 25:43
Speaker 1: We know how to chew gum and walk at the
• 25:44
Speaker 1: same time. The relationship between Wexner and Epstein, who died
• 25:49
Speaker 1: in prison last year after being indicted on sex trafficking charges,
• 25:54
Speaker 1: is the subject of the latest episode of ABC News'
• 25:57
Speaker 1: Truth and Lies, Jeffrey Epstein, an eight-part podcast focusing on
• 26:01
Speaker 1: Epstein and the women who survived his crimes. Yeah, after
• 26:05
Speaker 1: ABC killed the story. After ABC sat on an interview
• 26:08
Speaker 1: between Roebuck and Virginia Roberts in 2015, all of a
• 26:13
Speaker 1: sudden they're the heroes, huh? All of a sudden, Disney
• 26:16
Speaker 1: owned ABC. They're the champions of the survivors. Stop it. Wexner, 82,
• 26:24
Speaker 1: built some of the most recognizable clothing brands in the world,
• 26:28
Speaker 1: including the lingerie giant Victoria's Secret, and he became fabulously
• 26:32
Speaker 1: wealthy in the process, with Forbes listing his current net
• 26:36
  Speaker 1: worth at about $ 4. 5 billion. Imagine that. $ 4. 5 billion. Big ones.
• 26:43
Speaker 1: When you have that kind of money, I guess you
• 26:44
Speaker 1: can do whatever you want. You can be involved with
• 26:46
Speaker 1: whoever you want. You can pal around with human traffickers,
• 26:50
Speaker 1: get money from them, send them money. No problem. No
• 26:54
Speaker 1: RICO case. No charges. Nothing. Just go on with your
• 26:56
Speaker 1: life there, Mr. Les Wexner. Enjoy New Albany, Crypt Keeper-looking MF-er.
• 27:02
Speaker 1: He met Epstein in the mid-1980s, according to the aforementioned
• 27:05
Speaker 1: letter to his foundation, through friends who vouched for and
• 27:09
Speaker 1: recommended him as a knowledgeable financial professional. And Epstein ultimately
• 27:14
Speaker 1: took over managing Wexner's personal finances. Oh, through some friends
• 27:18
Speaker 1: who vouched for him, huh? Which friends are those? And
• 27:21
Speaker 1: if we were talking about La Cosa Nostra, well, those
• 27:24
Speaker 1: friends who friends who vouched for him, those would be
• 27:27
Speaker 1: the ones on the line to get their heads chopped off.
• 27:30
Speaker 1: So why don't you tell us who these friends were?
• 27:32
Speaker 1: Let's complete the circle here, Les Wexner. What are you
• 27:35
Speaker 1: so afraid of? It's hilarious how he has amnesia when
• 27:38
Speaker 1: it comes to Epstein, how he acts like they weren't
• 27:40
Speaker 1: even really friends and how he's a victim of Epstein, too. Unbelievable.
• 27:47
Speaker 1: Epstein created his own mythology that he only wanted to
• 27:51
Speaker 1: work with billionaires, said Bob Fatrakis, who has covered Wexner
• 27:56
Speaker 1: for many years as the editor of the independent newspaper
• 27:59
Speaker 1: Columbus Free Press. And here was an actual billionaire. Wexner
• 28:03
Speaker 1: trusted Epstein so completely that in July of 1991, Wexner
• 28:08
Speaker 1: gave Epstein power of attorney over his personal fortune, which,
• 28:12
Speaker 1: as Wexner acknowledged in his letter, gave Epstein wide latitude
• 28:17
Speaker 1: to act on behalf of one of the richest men
• 28:19
Speaker 1: in the world. Now, why in the world would Les
• 28:24
Speaker 1: Wexner give Epstein complete power over his finances? An unknown jerk-off,
• 28:31
Speaker 1: not even college-educated, Certainly not, uh, you know, running around
• 28:35
Speaker 1: like Warren Buffett. All of a sudden, he's in control
• 28:38
Speaker 1: of one of the biggest portfolios in the world? One
• 28:41
Speaker 1: of the most powerful magnates of business in the whole world?
• 28:45
Speaker 1: Ask yourselves, does that sound logical to you? Does that
• 28:48
Speaker 1: sound like something that happens on a regular basis? Of
• 28:51
Speaker 1: course it doesn't. In the ensuing years, Epstein became increasingly
• 28:56
Speaker 1: involved in Wexner's personal ventures. Epstein's signature appears on real
• 29:00
Speaker 1: estate documents, tax filings, and corporation records for Wexner's personal
• 29:05
Speaker 1: holdings throughout the next decade. The whole entire time, mind you,
• 29:09
Speaker 1: while he was with Wexner, he was also molesting, raping,
• 29:12
Speaker 1: and trafficking women. So you mean to tell me that
• 29:14
Speaker 1: nobody has any questions for Wexner? He hasn't been subpoenaed
• 29:18
Speaker 1: or anything like that? None of these prosecutors want to
• 29:20
Speaker 1: have a conversation with him? What are you guys so
• 29:23
Speaker 1: scared of? See, the SDNY, they love to go after
• 29:26
Speaker 1: political opponents. They love to go after low-hanging fruit. But
• 29:29
Speaker 1: they won't go after people like this. They refuse to
• 29:32
Speaker 1: do it. And as Wexner's empire grew, so did Epstein's.
• 29:38
Speaker 1: He began to purchase luxury property all over the world,
• 29:42
Speaker 1: including a 10,000 square foot house adjacent to Wexner's estate
• 29:46
Speaker 1: in New Albany, Ohio for about three and a half
• 29:49
Speaker 1: million dollars. Epstein soon added one of New York City's
• 29:53
Speaker 1: largest private residences to his portfolio, though his path to
• 29:57
Speaker 1: ownership was a somewhat strange and circuitous one that ran
• 30:02
Speaker 1: through Wexner. Of course, we all know the story that
• 30:05
Speaker 1: he got the house for a dollar from Wexner. We
• 30:08
Speaker 1: all know that Epstein and Wexner were connected at the
• 30:11
Speaker 1: hip for a very long time, and that's why it's
• 30:14
Speaker 1: so laughable to me that Wexner isn't under more scrutiny.
• 30:18
Speaker 1: This dude should be talked about. Every single time you
• 30:20
Speaker 1: talk about Epstein or anything to do with Epstein, Wexner's
• 30:23
Speaker 1: name should be one of the first ones that pops up.
• 30:27
Speaker 1: This guy was completely involved with Epstein and most certainly
• 30:31
Speaker 1: knew what was going on. According to property records, Wexner
• 30:37
Speaker 1: purchased the property, a palatial mansion located at 9 East
• 30:41
Speaker 1: 71st Street on Manhattan's Upper East Side, through a company
• 30:44
Speaker 1: he owned in 1989. But Epstein told the New York
• 30:47
Speaker 1: Times in 1996 that Les never spent more than two
• 30:51
Speaker 1: months there and boasted that he had acquired the property.
• 30:55
Speaker 1: According to a spokesperson, however, Wexner never resided at the
• 30:59
Speaker 1: residence and didn't sell his stake in the company that
• 31:02
Speaker 1: owned the property to a company controlled by Epstein until 1998. Well, look,
• 31:06
Speaker 1: we all know Epstein was a notorious liar as well.
• 31:09
Speaker 1: Nobody's disputing that. And we all know he played loose
• 31:11
Speaker 1: with the truth on more than one occasion. But There
• 31:15
Speaker 1: is no denying the relationship here. And there is no
• 31:17
Speaker 1: denying the fact that Wexner and Epstein are as connected
• 31:23
Speaker 1: as you could be. But perhaps the most mysterious financial
• 31:29
Speaker 1: entanglement between Wexner and Epstein is scattered across thousands of
• 31:34
Speaker 1: pages of SEC filings and other records identified by criminologist
• 31:39
Speaker 1: and ABC News contributor Tom Valshow and reviewed by financial
• 31:44
Speaker 1: investigative journalist and ABC News contributor Boyd. Valshaw and Boyd
• 31:49
Speaker 1: found nearly a dozen trusts with names like health and
• 31:52
Speaker 1: science interests, art interests, and community interests connected to Wexner
• 31:57
Speaker 1: that listed Epstein as a trustee and received large gifts
• 32:00
Speaker 1: of stock in Wexner's company, The Limited. These trusts may
• 32:04
Speaker 1: help explain how Epstein's wealth grew so quickly. And it
• 32:08
Speaker 1: would also really wrap these guys up in a RICO case,
• 32:11
Speaker 1: wouldn't it? Again, another reason why you don't see RICO here.
• 32:15
Speaker 1: Another reason why the government hasn't pursued it. Because of
• 32:18
Speaker 1: all of the people that would be caught up in it.
• 32:22
Speaker 1: Records show that between 1991 and 2006, Epstein oversaw the sale,
• 32:27
Speaker 1: mostly through the New York Stock Exchange, of more than $ 1. 3
• 32:31
Speaker 1: billion of company stock held by these trusts, representing a
• 32:35
Speaker 1: vast pool of cash largely controlled by Epstein. Much of
• 32:39
Speaker 1: the money was certainly used for charitable purposes, But, according
• 32:42
Speaker 1: to Walshow and Boyd, a potential pattern appears to emerge.
• 32:46
Speaker 1: One in which Epstein liquidates large amounts of stock on
• 32:49
Speaker 1: behalf of these trusts, and then, shortly after, makes large
• 32:53
Speaker 1: purchases for himself, including homes, planes, even a private island.
• 32:58
Speaker 1: Of course he did. He was making a bunch of
• 33:00
Speaker 1: money commission on every one of these deals. That's where
• 33:03
Speaker 1: he was getting a lot of that dough. But the
• 33:05
Speaker 1: thing is... It's all dark money, right? Once Epstein has it,
• 33:09
Speaker 1: he's laundering it through this foundation, that foundation, this offshore,
• 33:14
Speaker 1: that offshore. It's just a big mess. With power of attorney,
• 33:19
Speaker 1: I believe that Epstein probably converted some of Mr. Wexner's
• 33:22
Speaker 1: assets into his own uses, Volchow said. So we can
• 33:25
Speaker 1: say that the timing is there. And it's unclear exactly,
• 33:29
Speaker 1: without having access to private bank statements, how that happens.
• 33:32
  Speaker 1: I don't know if I agree with that. I think
• 33:34
Speaker 1: that Wexner was well aware of what was going on here,
• 33:37
Speaker 1: and again, this was their baked-in excuse. If anything goes wrong,
• 33:41
Speaker 1: we'll say that we had a falling out and you
• 33:42
Speaker 1: stole from me. Something like that. Wexner claims to have
• 33:46
Speaker 1: cut ties with Epstein after learning about the missing money
• 33:49
Speaker 1: in 2007 amid the first federal investigation into Epstein's sexual crimes.
• 33:55
Speaker 1: Wexner maintains that he had no knowledge of Epstein's sexual
• 33:58
Speaker 1: predation prior to that investigation. According to CNBC, Wexner turned
• 34:03
Speaker 1: over documents to authorities following Epstein's arrest last year. Why
• 34:08
Speaker 1: does it always take the arrest to get these guys
• 34:10
Speaker 1: to turn over some documents? Can't you just show up
• 34:12
Speaker 1: and be like, hey, I heard that Epstein was arrested.
• 34:15
Speaker 1: I have some things to say. Epstein certainly used his
• 34:19
Speaker 1: connection to Wexner to enrich himself, but at least two
• 34:23
Speaker 1: women have said he also used it to facilitate attempts
• 34:26
Speaker 1: at abuse. A pair of aspiring models have both publicly
• 34:30
Speaker 1: described disturbing encounters with Epstein, having been lured into a
• 34:35
Speaker 1: private meeting with him after he portrayed himself as a
• 34:38
Speaker 1: talent scout for Wexner's flagship brand, Victoria's Secret. We all
• 34:42
Speaker 1: know that was the move. He loved to make that move.
• 34:45
Speaker 1: Epstein was always trying to manipulate and situate himself in
• 34:50
Speaker 1: a position where he could, you know, search out his
• 34:53
Speaker 1: depraved behavior and then follow through with it. In an
• 34:58
Speaker 1: interview with ABC News, Alicia Arden said she met Epstein
• 35:01
Speaker 1: at a hotel in Santa Monica, California in 1997, believing
• 35:05
Speaker 1: that Epstein could help get her a photo in the
• 35:08
Speaker 1: Victoria's Secret catalog. When she arrived at his hotel room,
• 35:11
Speaker 1: Arden said, Epstein groped her. He was putting his hands
• 35:14
Speaker 1: on my hips and my buttocks and saying, let me
• 35:16
Speaker 1: manhandle you, Arden told ABC News, so I got extremely
• 35:20
Speaker 1: terrified of that. Arden left the hotel room and later
• 35:23
Speaker 1: filed a report of sexual battery with the Santa Monica
• 35:26
Speaker 1: Police Department. One of the earliest known reports against Epstein
• 35:29
Speaker 1: for abusive behavior. The police, however, do not appear to
• 35:34
Speaker 1: have pursued the matter. Well, we know that even before that,
• 35:38
Speaker 1: it was Maria Farmer who reported this man. ABC News
• 35:45
Speaker 1: reached out to Santa Monica Police Department about Arden's case,
• 35:48
Speaker 1: but did not receive a response. Elisabetta Tai told a
• 35:52
Speaker 1: similar story to New York Post last year. In 2004,
• 35:56
Speaker 1: she said her booking agent set up a meeting with
• 35:58
Speaker 1: Epstein at his Upper East Side mansion, and she visited
• 36:02
Speaker 1: Epstein's home under the impression that she was in charge
• 36:05
Speaker 1: of Victoria's Secret and could get her into the company's catalog.
• 36:10
Speaker 1: Big mistake, unfortunately. But when you have access to something
• 36:13
Speaker 1: like Victoria's Secret, it's easy for you to manipulate that
• 36:17
Speaker 1: and move that and mold that and have that as
• 36:20
Speaker 1: something that you can hold over these girls' heads. While
• 36:24
Speaker 1: at the home, Ty told the Post Epstein stripped naked
• 36:27
Speaker 1: and handed her a vibrator. She threw it at his head,
• 36:30
Speaker 1: she said, and then left. L Brands has since told
• 36:34
Speaker 1: Business Insider that it hired an outside law firm to
• 36:37
Speaker 1: review Epstein's relationship with the company. But they do not
• 36:41
Speaker 1: believe he was ever an employee or authorized representative of
• 36:45
Speaker 1: the company. Nah, he just had power of attorney over
• 36:48
Speaker 1: it all. Talk about playing loose with words. Holy cow.
• 36:51
Speaker 1: Victoria's Secret was an absolute dumpster fire forever. And even
• 36:55
Speaker 1: though they rebranded and shit, I still wouldn't buy a
• 36:58
Speaker 1: thing from there. But when ABC reached out to L
• 37:02
Speaker 1: Brands asking whether Epstein ever served as a talent scout
• 37:05
Speaker 1: for Victoria's Secret, the company did not respond to a
• 37:09
Speaker 1: request for comment. Well, folks, there you have it. The
• 37:13
Speaker 1: relationship between Les Wexner and Jeffrey Epstein should not be
• 37:17
Speaker 1: on a back burner. This is a relationship that should
• 37:19
Speaker 1: be right up in front, right out in front, and
• 37:22
Speaker 1: a relationship that is absolutely exposed. If you'd like to

• 37:46
Speaker 1: can be found in the description box. What's up, everyone,
• 37:49
Speaker 1: and welcome to another episode of the Epstein Chronicles. Over
• 37:53
Speaker 1: the past few months, the House Oversight Committee has had
• 37:56
Speaker 1: conversations with many different people. And of course, one of
• 38:01
Speaker 1: those people is Les Wexner. Now, according to Les Wexner,
• 38:07
Speaker 1: he has no idea why anybody even wanted to talk
• 38:09
Speaker 1: to him. And according to him, he was nothing more
• 38:14
Speaker 1: than another victim of Jeffrey Epstein. And the whole entire point,
• 38:18
Speaker 1: according to him, was for the Democrats to get a
• 38:21
Speaker 1: photo op. And look, there is some truth to that.
• 38:26
Speaker 1: There's no doubt that the Democrats are trying to wield
• 38:29
Speaker 1: this as a weapon against the Republicans. But the Republicans
• 38:34
Speaker 1: are making it easy for them to do that. How
• 38:38
Speaker 1: do you come out here and support a dude like
• 38:39
Speaker 1: Les Wexner? I mean, not a single Republican showed up
• 38:43
Speaker 1: for this guy's deposition. But all of a sudden, we're
• 38:47
Speaker 1: talking about performative politics? Let's be real here. If the
• 38:52
Speaker 1: Republicans cared, they would have been there too. And this
• 38:56
Speaker 1: is exactly what I was talking about when all of
• 38:58
Speaker 1: this first started to bubble up. They're going to over-politicize it,
• 39:04
Speaker 1: and they're going to drive a wedge between people, and
• 39:06
Speaker 1: nothing's going to get accomplished, and nobody's going to be
• 39:08
Speaker 1: held accountable. All part of the plan. And if you're
• 39:12
Speaker 1: somebody that's engaging in that shit, congratulations. You're part of
• 39:16
Speaker 1: the problem. Today's article is from the Harvard Crimson, and
• 39:20
Speaker 1: the headlines. Wexner calls Congressional Epstein deposition silly, says Democrats
• 39:25
Speaker 1: used it as a photo op. Leslie H. Wexner, the
• 39:30
Speaker 1: billionaire retail magnate and best buddy of Jeffrey Epstein, accused
• 39:34
Speaker 1: House Democrats of turning his February deposition about Jeffrey Epstein
• 39:38
Speaker 1: into a photo op, saying in a Wednesday interview with
• 39:41
Speaker 1: the Crimson that lawmakers appeared more interested in the politics
• 39:44
Speaker 1: of the session than in questioning him. Well, why didn't
• 39:48
Speaker 1: you go talk to the police right away? Like, Lexner's
• 39:51
Speaker 1: acting like he's somebody that is being just targeted. Buddy, stop.
• 39:57
Speaker 1: If this was a real country, and we had any
• 40:00
Speaker 1: real administration running this country for the last four decades,
• 40:05
Speaker 1: your bitch ass would be in prison. So, cut the bullshit.
• 40:09
Speaker 1: You're not fooling anybody here. Oh, woe is me. I'm
• 40:12
Speaker 1: the victim. Shut your bitch ass up. Wexner, one of
• 40:17
Speaker 1: Epstein's most prominent clients, sat for a nearly six-hour deposition
• 40:22
Speaker 1: in New Albany, Ohio, as part of the House Oversight
• 40:24
Speaker 1: Committee's investigation into Epstein and Glenn Maxwell. The committee released
• 40:29
Speaker 1: video of the deposition the next day. And you know
• 40:32
Speaker 1: what else I'm sick of? All these voluntary appearances. Well,
• 40:37
Speaker 1: we're here voluntarily. Well, that's because the committee is worthless.
• 40:42
Speaker 1: The whole entire thing is a big-ass joke now. And
• 40:45
Speaker 1: I'm getting tired of it. I'm getting tired of the games.
• 40:49
Speaker 1: I'm getting tired of the fucking clowns. And I'm getting
• 40:52
Speaker 1: tired of the circus that has come along the second
• 40:55
Speaker 1: people realize they can monetize this madness. I didn't know anything.
• 41:02
Speaker 1: I wasn't guilty, Wexner said. I was very happy to
• 41:04
Speaker 1: give the statement and the deposition to end it all. Yeah?
• 41:09
Speaker 1: You weren't guilty? That's not what Virginia said. Why didn't
• 41:13
Speaker 1: you ever sue Virginia? Less Wexner. Maybe it's because you're guilty.
• 41:18
Speaker 1: I don't know. Could that be it? Could that be
• 41:20
Speaker 1: a possibility? I know. The great Les Wexner would never
• 41:25
Speaker 1: do anything like that. Fucking human cryptkeeper over here. Maybe
• 41:29
Speaker 1: he wants to talk about Maria instead of Virginia. You
• 41:33
Speaker 1: know how you and your security kept her locked in
• 41:35
Speaker 1: at New Albany? Maybe we want to talk about that.
• 41:40
Speaker 1: But Wexner said the session quickly became political theater, calling
• 41:44
Speaker 1: the deposition silly, and a nothing-burger. Oh, yeah, you know,
• 41:47
Speaker 1: a nothing burger. Giving Jeffrey Epstein the keys to Victoria's Secret,
• 41:53
Speaker 1: nothing burger. Giving Jeffrey Epstein full and unfettered access to
• 41:57
Speaker 1: your money, nothing burger. I mean, I guess if the
• 42:00
Speaker 1: government doesn't use Rico against you, sure. But in the
• 42:06
Speaker 1: real world, you're getting hit with Rico, homie. Your name's
• 42:08
Speaker 1: getting pulled off all those buildings, and your bitch ass
• 42:12
Speaker 1: is going to prison. But that's not the world we
• 42:15
Speaker 1: live in. We live in a world that is vastly unjust.
• 42:20
Speaker 1: And unfortunately, when the hammer comes down, it usually lands
• 42:24
Speaker 1: on people like us. Essentially, the whole thing was airtime,
• 42:28
Speaker 1: getting on a video. Say they did it, Wexner said.
• 42:32
  Speaker 1: I don't think 10 minutes of the questions, 10 questions
• 42:34
Speaker 1: or 10 minutes of questions were asked by Congress members.
• 42:37
Speaker 1: It was a photo op. It was asked by the investigators.
• 42:41
Speaker 1: That's the whole point, Mr. Wexner. And since they weren't
• 42:44
Speaker 1: direct enough for him, I'll step in and I'll be direct. Hey, Mr. Wexner,
• 42:50
Speaker 1: did you or did you not rape Virginia Roberts? How
• 42:54
Speaker 1: about you answer that question, you piece of shit scumbag?
• 42:58
Speaker 1: Wexner said he was disappointed in how the Epstein investigation
• 43:02
Speaker 1: has been politicized and told the Crimson that representatives appear
• 43:06
Speaker 1: to lose interest behind closed doors. Oh, I don't doubt
• 43:09
Speaker 1: that either. If you think for a second that I
• 43:13
Speaker 1: trust these Democrats that are on this committee... you got
• 43:15
Speaker 1: a fucking other thing coming. I don't trust any of
• 43:19
Speaker 1: these people. I haven't trusted them for the last seven
• 43:22
Speaker 1: years because of this, and I'm not going to trust
• 43:25
Speaker 1: them anytime soon. And I hate to admit it, but
• 43:29
Speaker 1: Wexner's not wrong when he says it's performative. For a
• 43:32
Speaker 1: lot of these people, that's exactly what it is. Remember,
• 43:36
Speaker 1: a lot of these people had no concerns. They didn't
• 43:39
Speaker 1: care previously. But now that they feel like they can
• 43:42
Speaker 1: use it as a political weapon... Oh, they care immensely.
• 43:46
Speaker 1: But look, I'm not naive. I've told you once and
• 43:49
Speaker 1: I'll tell you again. I'm willing to ride these people
• 43:52
Speaker 1: to the finish line. And they don't know this story
• 43:54
Speaker 1: well enough to not get themselves in trouble. And that
• 43:58
Speaker 1: goes for both sides. Because if you think this is
• 44:00
Speaker 1: a one-sided issue, you have not been paying attention. Because
• 44:04
Speaker 1: the writing's on the wall. It's obvious what's going on.
• 44:08
Speaker 1: And it's rather obvious that nothing is ever going to
• 44:10
Speaker 1: come of this. Nobody's going to go to prison. I mean,
• 44:14
Speaker 1: the Republicans didn't even have the time to go and
• 44:16
Speaker 1: sit when Wexner was sitting to be deposed. But sure,
• 44:20
Speaker 1: they care so much. And then, of course, the Democrats,
• 44:24
Speaker 1: they didn't ask any real questions and the investigators either.
• 44:29
Speaker 1: It's all a dog and pony show. And if it
• 44:32
Speaker 1: wasn't for the discharge petition, forget it. We would have nothing.
• 44:41
Speaker 1: Wexner said one female member of Congress looked at her
• 44:43
Speaker 1: phone during the deposition, then left the room roughly 10
• 44:46
Speaker 1: minutes into questioning. Wexner said he initially thought she was
• 44:50
Speaker 1: leaving to find a bathroom, but later learned she had
• 44:52
Speaker 1: gone to a nearby pizza shop for a press conference.
• 44:55
Speaker 1: She got up and she went about a mile away
• 44:57
Speaker 1: to a neighborhood pizza place and had a press conference
• 45:01
Speaker 1: and never came back, Wexner said. Well, she's still a
• 45:04
Speaker 1: step ahead of the Republicans who never showed up in
• 45:06
Speaker 1: the first place. Oh, they all showed up for the
• 45:10
Speaker 1: Clinton hearing though, right? Photo op time, the whole thing.
• 45:14
Speaker 1: And how they do there. That's right, they shit the
• 45:17
Speaker 1: bed too. Almost like it's on purpose. Almost like both
• 45:21
Speaker 1: sides don't want anything to come of this. And look,
• 45:24
Speaker 1: I know that's not profitable to say, but I don't care.
• 45:27
Speaker 1: I'm not here to be some kind of internet influencer.
• 45:30
  Speaker 1: I don't give a fuck. That's why I'm not out
• 45:31
Speaker 1: here selling you dick pills and a whole bunch of
• 45:33
Speaker 1: other nonsense. Wexner did not identify the lawmaker by name.
• 45:39
Speaker 1: Representative Robert Garcia, the committee's ranking Democrat, attended the deposition
• 45:43
Speaker 1: with Representative Jasmine Crockett, Yasmeen Ansari, Stephen F. Lynch, Rashida Tlaib,
• 45:50
Speaker 1: and Dave Minn. Wexner appeared to be referencing Ansari, who
• 45:54
Speaker 1: did hits for CNN and MSNOW, in the middle of
• 45:57
Speaker 1: the deposition. That's ridiculous. Why is she doing that? Why
• 46:02
Speaker 1: are you turning it into something that it shouldn't be?
• 46:06
Speaker 1: And everybody wants to be the main character, right? and
• 46:09
Speaker 1: how much time has been wasted asking repetitive questions. A
• 46:12
Speaker 1: whole hell of a lot. And at this point, I
• 46:14
Speaker 1: have to wonder if both sides are working together behind
• 46:17
Speaker 1: the scenes to keep the water muddy. A spokesperson for
• 46:20
Speaker 1: Ansari did not respond to a request for comment. Crockett
• 46:24
Speaker 1: is audible in the recording of the deposition asking a
• 46:27
Speaker 1: question of Wexner nearly two hours in. The other Democratic
• 46:31
Speaker 1: lawmakers who attended the deposition joined Ansari for the press conference.
• 46:36
Speaker 1: They told reporters... that they were not entirely convinced of
• 46:39
Speaker 1: Wexner's innocence, saying they struggled to believe so-and-so entangled with
• 46:43
Speaker 1: Epstein could have been oblivious to his illegal activity. Tlaib
• 46:48
Speaker 1: was not present at the press conference. Well, I don't
• 46:51
Speaker 1: think they're wrong about that. I think that it's obvious
• 46:56
Speaker 1: that Les Wexner and Jeffrey Epstein were at the very
• 46:59
Speaker 1: least entangled financially. And if Jeffrey Epstein was committing one
• 47:04
Speaker 1: crime financially... okay, one crime that was a RICO predicate,
• 47:11
Speaker 1: then everybody that was sending or receiving money from his
• 47:13
Speaker 1: account should have had their accounts frozen, just like the
• 47:17
Speaker 1: rest of us. But no, that was never going to
• 47:22
Speaker 1: be the case. So once again, these lawmakers, they're beating
• 47:26
Speaker 1: around the bush. They're not even getting to the meat
• 47:29
Speaker 1: and potatoes of the issue. Have you heard one of
• 47:31
Speaker 1: these dunces ask somebody about RICO? Notice they don't ever
• 47:36
Speaker 1: talk about it, right? Like it's the plague. Ask yourself why.
• 47:41
Speaker 1: Lingering questions about Epstein and sustained public outcry over the
• 47:44
Speaker 1: federal government's handling of records related to his crimes have
• 47:48
Speaker 1: been a weak spot for the Trump administration and a
• 47:50
Speaker 1: focus for congressional Democrats. All about politics, baby, right? All
• 47:55
Speaker 1: about politics. Where were all these Democrats just a few
• 47:59
Speaker 1: years ago? And don't say they didn't know. They most
• 48:02
Speaker 1: certainly did. the whole entire pussyhat population, they avoided this
• 48:08
Speaker 1: topic like the plague. When Ghislaine Maxwell was on trial,
• 48:12
Speaker 1: nobody was showing up to support the girls. Where was
• 48:15
Speaker 1: all the support? Where were people using their platforms to
• 48:19
Speaker 1: support them? I'll tell you where. They didn't care. They
• 48:22
Speaker 1: thought that this was some vast right-wing conspiracy. Well, guess what?
• 48:27
Speaker 1: What do you think now? And sometimes you're going to
• 48:29
Speaker 1: hear uncomfortable information and you're going to want to say, look,
• 48:33
Speaker 1: no way, there's no way that's real. There's no way
• 48:35
Speaker 1: that's true. My side, quote unquote, would never take part
• 48:39
Speaker 1: in that. Kind of like what we're hearing about over
• 48:42
Speaker 1: in the UK. Now, look, if that was just some
• 48:44
Speaker 1: report written by Rupert Lowe and we had no survivor
• 48:49
Speaker 1: accounts of what occurred, then I would say, yeah, you
• 48:53
Speaker 1: could look at that and say, OK, this is a
• 48:55
Speaker 1: bit political and they're just trying to stir the pot.
• 48:59
Speaker 1: But one thing that I've learned is when you have
• 49:01
Speaker 1: this many people coming out telling basically the same story,
• 49:06
Speaker 1: we should probably listen. Now, that doesn't mean that everybody's
• 49:09
Speaker 1: telling the truth, and that doesn't mean that everything that
• 49:12
Speaker 1: you're going to read or hear is true. But I
• 49:16
Speaker 1: think that when we're talking about something as serious as this,
• 49:20
Speaker 1: allegations in that inquiry, I think everybody should at least
• 49:24
Speaker 1: do themselves the solid of actually looking at it, right?
• 49:28
Speaker 1: And going through it. I would not rely on the
• 49:30
Speaker 1: same people who told you that Jeffrey Epstein was nothing
• 49:33
Speaker 1: more than a conspiracy theory for years. And that's the
• 49:37
Speaker 1: point I'm trying to make. Don't let other people color
• 49:41
Speaker 1: your opinions. If you think something is unjust or you
• 49:45
Speaker 1: think something is out of bounds and it might not
• 49:49
Speaker 1: align with your politics, it's okay. You don't have to
• 49:53
Speaker 1: be an absolutist with your politics. You're allowed to have
• 49:56
Speaker 1: varying opinions and hold different beliefs. And just because some
• 50:01
Speaker 1: newscaster or some influencer tells you something, that doesn't mean
• 50:04
Speaker 1: you have to dance to their tune. Progressive lawmakers have
• 50:07
Speaker 1: repeatedly accused the Department of Justice of withholding records and
• 50:11
Speaker 1: failing to fully account for Epstein's relationship with powerful figures. Wexner,
• 50:16
Speaker 1: for his part, has long denied he knew anything about
• 50:19
Speaker 1: Epstein's criminal behavior. On Wednesday, he repeated those claims and
• 50:24
Speaker 1: said Epstein had deceived him, casting himself as a victim
• 50:27
Speaker 1: of the financier's fraud. Here we go, less Wexner as
• 50:31
Speaker 1: a victim. And I'm sure those Republicans that didn't even
• 50:33
Speaker 1: bother to go talk to him feel the same way.
• 50:37
Speaker 1: You know, after he donated, what, $ 250, 000 to the Republican
• 50:41
Speaker 1: Governors Association? I'm sure that had nothing to do with it, right? Everybody,
• 50:47
Speaker 1: I'm sure, hired somebody, or knew somebody, that they wished
• 50:50
Speaker 1: they'd never met. And in this case, it was very
• 50:52
Speaker 1: painful financially, and then because of his social habits, which
• 50:56
Speaker 1: I never saw, he said. Well, that doesn't jive with
• 50:59
Speaker 1: what we've heard. Again, ask Maria. And we should probably
• 51:04
Speaker 1: go back and listen to what Virginia had to say, right?
• 51:07
Speaker 1: Wexner also pointed to a question about his campaign contribution
• 51:11
Speaker 1: to U.S. Senator John Husted as evidence that lawmakers were
• 51:14
Speaker 1: seeking political fodder. The soundbite was later used by Husted's
• 51:18
Speaker 1: opponent in his upcoming Senate race, former Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown,
• 51:23
Speaker 1: to tie Husted to Epstein's circle. Wexner suggested he believed
• 51:28
Speaker 1: the question had been a setup. My friend said, they
• 51:31
Speaker 1: asked you that specific question because they wanted it for
• 51:34
Speaker 1: a commercial. He said, They wanted to get it because
• 51:37
Speaker 1: they were going to use it in a campaign commercial,
• 51:40
Speaker 1: which Sherrod Brown is using. Well, that's how politics works.
• 51:46
Speaker 1: Are we really going to act like the Republicans wouldn't
• 51:49
Speaker 1: do the same thing? I'm not saying I agree with it,
• 51:52
Speaker 1: but the cat's out of the bag. What I agree
• 51:55
Speaker 1: with or what I don't agree with doesn't matter. This
• 51:59
Speaker 1: is now the battlefield and everything is hyper politicized to
• 52:02
Speaker 1: a point where nothing's going to get done. Brown's campaign spokesperson,
• 52:09
Speaker 1: Lauren Chow, pointed to more than 116,000 Wexner had donated
• 52:14
Speaker 1: to Husted's campaign in a Thursday statement. Just last year,
• 52:19
Speaker 1: he took a maximum donation from Epstein's co-conspirator and weeks
• 52:23
Speaker 1: later voted to block the release of the Epstein files.
• 52:26
Speaker 1: Chow wrote, the record is clear. Wexner said the skepticism
• 52:30
Speaker 1: from lawmakers was unfair and maintained that the committee staff
• 52:34
Speaker 1: already knew most of the answers to their questions. Yeah,
• 52:37
Speaker 1: the committee run by James Comer, right? The fix is in.
• 52:42
Speaker 1: I'm getting tired of talking about this shit, I'll tell
• 52:44
Speaker 1: you what. The committee's Epstein investigation has continued to draw

Speaker 1: in Harvard affiliates. Last week, House Oversight Chair James Comer

Speaker 1: asked former law professor Alan Dershowitz to appear for a
• 52:57
Speaker 1: videotaped interview in Washington, D.C. on July 9th about his
• 53:01
Speaker 1: knowledge of Epstein's criminal activities. Oh yeah, another voluntary appearance.
• 53:06
Speaker 1: And it's all happening with one goal in mind. At
• 53:09
Speaker 1: least from Comer's point of view. Whatever it takes to
• 53:13
Speaker 1: try to exonerate Donald Trump. That's it. That's all that matters.
• 53:17
Speaker 1: Nothing else. And on the other side, all that matters
• 53:21
Speaker 1: is trying to pin Trump for all of Epstein's crimes. Meanwhile,
• 53:25
Speaker 1: in the middle, the survivors are the ones getting shit
• 53:28
Speaker 1: on again. But I guess that doesn't matter, right? As
• 53:31
Speaker 1: long as you get your fix of political bloodlust. Earlier
• 53:36
Speaker 1: that week, Garcia called for former Harvard president Larry Summers
• 53:40
Speaker 1: to also appear before the committee. Summers, whose extensive personal
• 53:44
Speaker 1: and academic ties have come under intense scrutiny since the
• 53:47
Speaker 1: release of emails and records last fall, declined to comment
• 53:50
Speaker 1: through a spokesperson on the letter. Wexner said he had
• 53:54
Speaker 1: nothing to hide and no fear of being questioned under oath. Oh, yeah, well,
• 53:58
Speaker 1: of course not under oath. It was voluntary, bro. You're
• 54:01
Speaker 1: not really under oath. There's no penalties coming here. Every
• 54:05
Speaker 1: single one of you people have lied to this committee.
• 54:08
Speaker 1: And what's happened? Nothing. Little slap on the back from
• 54:11
Speaker 1: James Comer, a steak, maybe a little bourbon afterwards. They
• 54:15
Speaker 1: can all go get fucked. I'm done with all of it.
• 54:20
Speaker 1: There was no question that I was afraid they were
• 54:22
Speaker 1: going to ask because there was no question that I
• 54:24
Speaker 1: could be afraid of because I didn't do anything wrong. Hey,
• 54:27
Speaker 1: Les Wexner, did you or did you not rape Virginia Roberts?
• 54:30
Speaker 1: Let's get it on the record. Wexner also said he
• 54:35
Speaker 1: was unlikely to testify before Congress again. Oh, well, he
• 54:38
Speaker 1: makes that decision? That's nice, huh? Fucking clown. Now they
• 54:43
Speaker 1: should hit him with a subpoena. Test it. Who runs
• 54:47
Speaker 1: this country? People like Wexner? Or the people? We all know.
• 54:53
Speaker 1: And it's certainly not the people. You have rotten cocksuckers
• 54:56
Speaker 1: like this that get to do whatever they want. For
• 55:00
Speaker 1: as long as they want. And there's never any sort
• 55:02
Speaker 1: of repercussions. Never. And then to get out here. And
• 55:06
Speaker 1: give this kind of commentary. And act like you're the
• 55:09
Speaker 1: one that's being wrongly maligned. And that you're the victim.
• 55:12
Speaker 1: He's basically doing a victory dance. Bro just spiked the football. Haha.
• 55:17
Speaker 1: I got away with it. And there's nothing you can
• 55:19
Speaker 1: do about it. Why don't you guys chew on that shit.
• 55:23
Speaker 1: Until the next episode. All the information that goes with
