- 0:04Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on Radio Hodarchy.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Iggy Pomp There on the Radio Hoedarchy Big Show this
- 0:09Speaker 2: Monday evening.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Let's give out some advice.
- 0:15Speaker 4: Absolutely at gmail dot com in touch with the field.
- 0:23Speaker 4: It's a really email address. Do reach out. Meet Penningham
- 0:25Speaker 4: sixty nine at gmail dot com. And if we read
- 0:27Speaker 4: it on the show, you get a fifty dollars reburg avouch.
- 0:29Speaker 4: It is anonymous and today this one comes in from anonymous.
- 0:33Speaker 4: Yeah man, gooday, feelers, I'm after some advice from you,
- 0:36Speaker 4: three wise gentlemen. My dad has recently been made redundant,
- 0:41Speaker 4: three years off of retirement. He's still in between whether
- 0:45Speaker 4: he will find work or not. But at the moment
- 0:47Speaker 4: he's just at home doing the bare minimum in terms
- 0:49Speaker 4: of work around the home.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, bagbone.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Now he lives with my mum, who works long, ten
- 0:54Speaker 4: hour plus days constantly. She is a backbone early childhood teacher,
- 0:58Speaker 4: super hard work. And my father's unemployed. We'll still let
- 1:01Speaker 4: my mum cook dinners most nights of the week. How
- 1:03Speaker 4: can I get through to him that he's being useless?
- 1:06Speaker 4: He is a boomer. It's hard to get.
- 1:07Speaker 3: Through to him.
- 1:08Speaker 4: She is foul us And that's from anonymous.
- 1:09Speaker 5: Yeah, you keep your nose out of other people's relationships. Man,
- 1:12Speaker 5: So you reckon, just back off. But that's his dad
- 1:14Speaker 5: and his mum.
- 1:15Speaker 3: You know, he's your business. I feel like it's your relationship.
- 1:18Speaker 4: I feel like it is the business.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Well, there's a.
- 1:20Speaker 5: Complaint about you know what's going on. Is the mum
- 1:24Speaker 5: complaining probably, well, we don't know. Well, she probably doesn't
- 1:27Speaker 5: complain because she's used to it.
- 1:28Speaker 3: We don't know.
- 1:29Speaker 5: The other side point is if she's not complaining about it,
- 1:31Speaker 5: you keep your beak out of other people's relationships.
- 1:34Speaker 6: Even your parents, I think so.
- 1:36Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:37Speaker 5: No, he's definitely stick your beacon it, but I think
- 1:39Speaker 5: you should keep your beaky out of it.
- 1:41Speaker 3: You see what I'm saying.
- 1:42Speaker 5: You're always going to stick your beacon, yeah, but it
- 1:44Speaker 5: is none of your business, so you should keep your
- 1:46Speaker 5: beaky out of it. Right, But you are always going
- 1:48Speaker 5: to stick your beacon it because it's your mum and dad,
- 1:50Speaker 5: because you want, But it's none of your business.
- 1:53Speaker 3: And what's he like as a cook? Yeah, you know
- 1:57Speaker 3: it could be terrible.
- 1:58Speaker 4: He could learn he's got all day.
- 2:00Speaker 2: You know, you get home after a hard day's yeacka
- 2:02Speaker 2: and he's got some burnt sauces and something. Well, this
- 2:05Speaker 2: is your complaint, and some lumpy, bloody potato.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Yes speaking, you know, you can order some like a
- 2:12Speaker 4: Hello Fresh or something, or like my food bag or
- 2:14Speaker 4: something and he could learn to do it.
- 2:15Speaker 3: One hundred percent. He's in the wrong.
- 2:17Speaker 5: He should even one or twice a week even to
- 2:20Speaker 5: start things off.
- 2:21Speaker 6: Would that be too much to ask? And the guy
- 2:23Speaker 6: does nothing?
- 2:24Speaker 3: Then this is the thing too.
- 2:26Speaker 2: You know, it's a difficult time when your bad age
- 2:29Speaker 2: and your retire people often find themselves very lost.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Well, I don't know what to do with themselves.
- 2:35Speaker 5: Just sit on the couch all day. Yeah, and watch
- 2:37Speaker 5: a bit of Netflix melancholic. It's Monday itis, but it's
- 2:40Speaker 5: every every day. It's terminal terminal Monday artists.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Wow, Because if that was me, I'd have a word
- 2:47Speaker 4: to my mum and be like, hey, does it annoy
- 2:49Speaker 4: you that dad does nothing? Yes, because my mom would
- 2:52Speaker 4: be like, oh, no.
- 2:53Speaker 3: It's fine, Well why are you asking you? Then no?
- 2:55Speaker 4: But then I'd be like, ah, but seriously though, just
- 2:57Speaker 4: between you and me, and then you should break up
- 2:58Speaker 4: with him.
- 2:59Speaker 6: What you should break.
- 3:00Speaker 3: I love them, though, nah is no good for you.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Get rid of them. He's not making your dinner.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Yeah, one hundred percent, that's what I do. But my dad, luckily,
- 3:08Speaker 4: he cooks all the time.
- 3:10Speaker 2: What I would do is probably go around there and
- 3:13Speaker 2: make dinner for my mum every night after work.
- 3:16Speaker 4: Oh yeah, right, so you I would.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Set an example for my father. You know, that's a
- 3:21Speaker 3: lovely idea.
- 3:23Speaker 5: You could go around and you could take your father
- 3:25Speaker 5: under your wing there and you said, hey, Dad, tonight
- 3:27Speaker 5: you're going to learn how to make you know, beef Wellington.
- 3:32Speaker 5: And so one day a week, Dad's making beef Wellington's.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Right, He's not going out foraging for wild mushrooms for
- 3:38Speaker 4: those beef Wellingtons or anything like that. That's why I
- 3:41Speaker 4: thought you were going down there.
- 3:42Speaker 5: Okay, they could do, but maybe being supportive rather than
- 3:46Speaker 5: shouting at someone who's not feeling good about himself but
- 3:49Speaker 5: having lost his purpose, you know, three years out from
- 3:51Speaker 5: retirement or two years out from retirement, or get your
- 3:55Speaker 5: mum to divorce hi because he's a loser.
- 3:57Speaker 1: The Whole Key Big Show week days from four on
- 4:00Speaker 1: Radio Hodarky Zeipplin.
- 4:02Speaker 2: There on the radio Hodarchy Big Show this Tuesday evening, Fellas,
- 4:06Speaker 2: I got a problem. You know, I'm one of those
- 4:09Speaker 2: sort of personalities. I've got the sort of personality that
- 4:11Speaker 2: when I like something, I get into it big time.
- 4:14Speaker 2: You know, like your daries for example, I'll smoke those
- 4:18Speaker 2: bastards like your booze back in the day, golf, golf,
- 4:21Speaker 2: you know what I mean.
- 4:22Speaker 4: Chips, yes, stealing chips, stealing chips, you know what.
- 4:26Speaker 6: I mean, Just any something.
- 4:28Speaker 2: If I like some of it and that feels good
- 4:30Speaker 2: to me, I indulge in it in a lot. And
- 4:33Speaker 2: I feel a bit vulnerable about admitting this on the radio.
- 4:39Speaker 2: But one of the things that's sort of got a
- 4:42Speaker 2: grip on me now is I'm really enjoying my pegging.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, what.
- 4:47Speaker 4: Do you mean, You're like pegging? Yeah, like pegging, pigging.
- 4:51Speaker 2: I never thought it would be something that I'd be into,
- 4:54Speaker 2: but actually it turns out it's right up my alley,
- 4:57Speaker 2: you know what I mean. And it's just the sort
- 5:00Speaker 2: of thing I love because you know, I'm a bit tightfisted.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I don't like, you know, giving away money, Willy Nelly.
- 5:09Speaker 2: I don't like paying for stuff for our other fellers.
- 5:12Speaker 6: You'll pay for pigging.
- 5:13Speaker 3: One of the things I'll pay for pegging. Yeah. But
- 5:16Speaker 3: one of the things that I hate most of all
- 5:21Speaker 3: is food wastage.
- 5:22Speaker 6: Yes, you know what I mean.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Connection here, And so you have a packet of crackers,
- 5:27Speaker 2: mogie crackers, you know, you hunt me and parmas scream creggers,
- 5:31Speaker 2: and you'll eat four or five of lad you'll eat
- 5:35Speaker 2: your saladas or like solada four or five crackers, four
- 5:38Speaker 2: or five crackers, right, yes, And then in the past
- 5:41Speaker 2: I just put them back in the pantry.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Would I seal them off? No, I wouldn't. And then
- 5:46Speaker 3: a couple of days there, well, I feel like a
- 5:48Speaker 3: solada and this stale mogi. And then my wife came.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Across these great things, these like sort of metal pigs
- 5:57Speaker 2: that you can put on food to sort of clamp
- 6:01Speaker 2: them down and prevent them from.
- 6:03Speaker 5: Going like a clothes pig. But you're just using them
- 6:07Speaker 5: on food, I hope, not a special food pig that
- 6:10Speaker 5: you've bought for Well.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Funnily enough, I ran out of these special food pigs
- 6:14Speaker 2: and started using clothes pigs, and they weren't just as well.
- 6:18Speaker 2: And that's when I realized they had a problem Fellers.
- 6:21Speaker 2: I was looking in my pantry today and I kid
- 6:23Speaker 2: you not, there's about fifteen things in my pantry that
- 6:25Speaker 2: have got pigs on them right right, And I've created
- 6:28Speaker 2: because you know how I hate secondhand food. In my
- 6:31Speaker 2: fridge there's plates and plates are leftovers.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Does my head? Do I eat them?
- 6:36Speaker 5: No?
- 6:37Speaker 2: And now I've created the same situation in my pantry
- 6:40Speaker 2: where everything's pegged and for some reason I never eat them.
- 6:43Speaker 4: You know what you could do if you run out
- 6:44Speaker 4: of space in your pantry, what's that is hang them
- 6:47Speaker 4: on the clothes line.
- 6:48Speaker 3: So you know what I mean.
- 6:49Speaker 4: You could peg them all on the clothesline and then
- 6:51Speaker 4: you go out there, spin it around. You've got a
- 6:52Speaker 4: little selection of food.
- 6:53Speaker 6: Oh that's nice, freeze up some space in your pantry.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Actually, that gives me a great idea, Keisy, because I
- 6:59Speaker 2: could put them on my clothes horse, put in the
- 7:04Speaker 2: lounge here, and that way I probably eat more of them,
- 7:07Speaker 2: you know what I mean, Because I'll be sitting there
- 7:09Speaker 2: on the couch looking at my clothes horse. Go look
- 7:12Speaker 2: at all that pig food there. I should eat that.
- 7:17Speaker 1: The whole Iching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy
- 7:20Speaker 1: tune in week days and four on Radio hod.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Ike both No More there on the Radio Hodarkey Big
- 7:26Speaker 2: Show this Wednesday evening, Our Fellows.
- 7:28Speaker 3: I don't know if you recall this.
- 7:29Speaker 2: I think it was last week where Peasy stumbled upon
- 7:36Speaker 2: a potentially good idea and.
- 7:39Speaker 4: That was the man bib was three weeks ago.
- 7:42Speaker 2: I was a three weeks god time going class, doesn't
- 7:45Speaker 2: it when you had such a great time?
- 7:46Speaker 3: But I want I wanted.
- 7:48Speaker 2: To revisit that because I was sitting at home last
- 7:51Speaker 2: night eating my dinner. Bento bowl was really good, man,
- 7:56Speaker 2: I was really impressed with it. My wife, well, I
- 8:00Speaker 2: prepped all the chicken and all the stuff, and she
- 8:03Speaker 2: just shoved it all on there.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Right, Okay it was it a bento bowl?
- 8:07Speaker 3: Yeah? It was in a bowl.
- 8:08Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, all right, not a box.
- 8:10Speaker 2: But anyway, to get to my point, and I was
- 8:12Speaker 2: sitting there watching TV and I finished my man and
- 8:14Speaker 2: I looked down, and this happens all the time, and
- 8:16Speaker 2: you've talked about it too, Mogi. I was covered in
- 8:19Speaker 2: food filth all over my chest and I thought to myself,
- 8:24Speaker 2: for God's sake, and then I remembered Kesey's idea of
- 8:28Speaker 2: the man bib. And I think, you know, if we
- 8:30Speaker 2: were to make you know, like backbone bibs.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Now.
- 8:33Speaker 2: I understand that it's a kind of humiliating thing for
- 8:37Speaker 2: a man to wear, But I wonder if we can
- 8:40Speaker 2: get past that with men and look at the purely
- 8:43Speaker 2: practical implications of it, so that you know, you can
- 8:47Speaker 2: put your man bib on, you can eat your burgers,
- 8:49Speaker 2: your reburgers and saucers and stuff going everywhere, and save
- 8:53Speaker 2: yourself getting stains all over your lovely sweater and or
- 8:56Speaker 2: T shirt.
- 8:57Speaker 5: Well, the obvious thing to do, of course, will be
- 8:59Speaker 5: talked to talk to me and say can you stop
- 9:01Speaker 5: eating like animals?
- 9:03Speaker 3: You could do that.
- 9:03Speaker 5: It's in the first instance. Now obviously that's not gonna work. Nah,
- 9:06Speaker 5: So I think you could be onto something.
- 9:08Speaker 4: Also, I just like to say it was never called
- 9:10Speaker 4: a man bird. It was always a UNI six bird.
- 9:12Speaker 3: I don't know why.
- 9:12Speaker 4: It's just for blokes, all of it from this, My
- 9:16Speaker 4: wife does she's a shocker?
- 9:19Speaker 6: Is she?
- 9:20Speaker 3: Okay? Well, I mean, okay, we can make it Uni six.
- 9:22Speaker 2: But my my predominant, my predominant feeling is that it's
- 9:26Speaker 2: a man ishes And you know, and I was thinking
- 9:28Speaker 2: to myself, Jesus, if I was wearing a bed last night,
- 9:30Speaker 2: I just whipped it off my shirt beautifully clean, you know,
- 9:33Speaker 2: And I buy a new sweatshirt, for example.
- 9:36Speaker 3: And then I eat my dinner and then I lock
- 9:38Speaker 3: down and.
- 9:39Speaker 6: There's stains that rebelieva.
- 9:41Speaker 3: It will never come out. And I do it every
- 9:44Speaker 3: single time. To me.
- 9:45Speaker 5: Last night, the wife went out for a for a walk, yes,
- 9:49Speaker 5: and I was in bed.
- 9:50Speaker 3: I was reading.
- 9:51Speaker 5: I was reading a script actually, and I thought, oh,
- 9:53Speaker 5: I'll just go and get myself a massive bowl of popcorn.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Yeah. So I'm lying with.
- 10:00Speaker 5: My head crooked up against the bed head there, just
- 10:03Speaker 5: shove it and I'm just jamming it in there.
- 10:06Speaker 6: I'll take you the trick that I do, Audiges.
- 10:08Speaker 5: Yes, I take my shirt off and I just let
- 10:10Speaker 5: all the popcorn kernels and all the bits and pieces,
- 10:13Speaker 5: all the debris and the refuse just sort of settle
- 10:17Speaker 5: all over my chest. And then once I'm done, I
- 10:20Speaker 5: sort of scoot over the edge of the bed. I
- 10:22Speaker 5: stand up quickly, and I just myself down and brush
- 10:25Speaker 5: it down onto the floor and then I go back
- 10:27Speaker 5: to bed.
- 10:28Speaker 2: The only consent I'd have with that is if I
- 10:30Speaker 2: were to do that, it would just congregate my massive bush.
- 10:37Speaker 5: Well.
- 10:37Speaker 4: The interesting thing about the man bird, or the unisex
- 10:40Speaker 4: berbers I'm calling it is it is actually a thing overseas.
- 10:43Speaker 4: In some Chinese restaurants, you know, especially having really spicy
- 10:47Speaker 4: chili oily oil is the thing that ruins you close.
- 10:52Speaker 4: It is because it can't get it out right, they
- 10:54Speaker 4: will give you a disposable bib.
- 10:56Speaker 6: So we didn't normalize the problem is, even if I
- 10:58Speaker 6: handle it home, I wouldn't put it on.
- 11:00Speaker 4: I wouldn't because you look hot right when your wife
- 11:03Speaker 4: comes home and you're eating popcorn and beards.
- 11:05Speaker 6: I don't care look to my wife.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Ah the hold Aching Big Show with Mike and Kyzy
- 11:12Speaker 1: tune in week days at four on Radio hold.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Ich Queen there on the Radio Hodankee Big Show this
- 11:18Speaker 2: Tuesday evening. If you don't mind, fellows, I'd like to
- 11:20Speaker 2: call a show meeting, show meet, show me.
- 11:25Speaker 3: The meeting show meeting is now in progress.
- 11:31Speaker 2: I'm just trying to figure out some of the edmund
- 11:33Speaker 2: around our upcoming trip to Fiji, which can I just
- 11:35Speaker 2: point out as pretty.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Much a week away sweet eight sleep next Friday.
- 11:40Speaker 4: When you listen to the Big show. We'll be doing
- 11:42Speaker 4: it live from Fiji. Bloody exciting, You're really exciting.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Exciting for us, not for it won't.
- 11:47Speaker 6: Make a difference. They could give two ships.
- 11:50Speaker 2: I think they'll be jealous, you know, and that's what
- 11:55Speaker 2: we want.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Yeah, we want them to be jealous. Okay, now can
- 11:58Speaker 3: I just.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Because I'm not sure about this, I just want to
- 12:02Speaker 2: clarify it. We've all got our.
- 12:04Speaker 6: Own rooms, right, I'm not sure my understanding is not.
- 12:07Speaker 5: I talked to Toddy and he said that the vibe
- 12:12Speaker 5: was that given we get to go to Fiji, that
- 12:14Speaker 5: we should be happy that we get to go at
- 12:16Speaker 5: all sharing room.
- 12:17Speaker 4: Yes, So originally what was going to happen was it
- 12:19Speaker 4: was just going to be us broadcasting, and then we
- 12:21Speaker 4: decided to give give it away to a couple of listeners.
- 12:25Speaker 4: And so the two rooms that because we had four
- 12:27Speaker 4: rooms for the four of us and Pugs and now
- 12:30Speaker 4: we've got two rooms to split between us, and then
- 12:33Speaker 4: the winners each get a room.
- 12:34Speaker 3: They get a roommate because they're winners. So we've got
- 12:37Speaker 3: two between four. Is that what you said?
- 12:39Speaker 6: Between four?
- 12:39Speaker 3: Basically?
- 12:40Speaker 2: Yeah, well why don't you Keezy, Mogi and Pugs have
- 12:44Speaker 2: the one room and.
- 12:46Speaker 4: Because right, how do you figure that?
- 12:48Speaker 3: Well, I just because you.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Guys are going to go hard and I like a
- 12:51Speaker 2: bit of quiet time, a bit of time to read
- 12:53Speaker 2: my poetry and reflect.
- 12:55Speaker 3: And so forth.
- 12:57Speaker 2: So it just seems like it was because you guys
- 12:59Speaker 2: are going to be a massive party mode.
- 13:01Speaker 6: Anyway.
- 13:03Speaker 5: That's why I need to come back and have a
- 13:05Speaker 5: room where I know nobody's going to be snoring. Because
- 13:07Speaker 5: I'm sleeping with those guys, They're going to be like me,
- 13:09Speaker 5: snoring like a bar so absolutely hammered. Pugs doesn't I'm
- 13:13Speaker 5: wandering around nude, you know, So I need to be
- 13:16Speaker 5: able to come. So I prefer that it was just
- 13:18Speaker 5: me and you jas because I tell you what I'm
- 13:19Speaker 5: in boy.
- 13:21Speaker 4: Okay, because Jason, you don't snore, do you?
- 13:23Speaker 5: No?
- 13:23Speaker 4: I don't snore perfect perfect like you do.
- 13:26Speaker 6: Snare, but just shocking, shockingly bed.
- 13:29Speaker 4: But but Jase doesn't, like he's not hitting at hard,
- 13:32Speaker 4: so he doesn't messively need his sleep, So that's perfect.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Well, I will hang on.
- 13:38Speaker 2: My concern with Moggie sharing the room with me is
- 13:41Speaker 2: he's going to be leaving as Darry's just lying around
- 13:43Speaker 2: willy nilly, and I don't know that I can resist that.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Kind of temptation. I'm believe in you, man, So maybe Pugs.
- 13:50Speaker 5: And I I'll just leave the cat and then my no,
- 13:53Speaker 5: I don't want to know where you're going to leave it.
- 13:57Speaker 5: He's doing you a favor, jays Man like, yeah, same
- 14:00Speaker 5: you having to find them. I don't need to sneak
- 14:02Speaker 5: in them because I'm worried that you're going to sneak.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Well, I'm just worried they're gonna leave them long So
- 14:06Speaker 3: million pegs, that's fine.
- 14:07Speaker 4: Well, No, it's going to be you Andmogi because he
- 14:09Speaker 4: was shockingly bad, shocking and shockingly bad. And you don't
- 14:14Speaker 4: need as much sleep because you're not going hard.
- 14:16Speaker 5: Yeah, because you're sort of up in the middle of
- 14:18Speaker 5: the night with your ankle issues and hopping around if yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 14:21Speaker 5: you're up at five o'clock having a coffee and then
- 14:23Speaker 5: you'll be hooking into the darts by then.
- 14:25Speaker 6: Yeah, and then.
- 14:25Speaker 3: At three o'clock you'll probably wake up and think, shit's
- 14:27Speaker 3: old mug.
- 14:28Speaker 6: He's got those singing sitting over there and might not
- 14:29Speaker 6: going to one of those masters.
- 14:31Speaker 4: Yeah, all lock it in, good show meeting Jason.
- 14:34Speaker 1: The Hurdarchy Big Show week days from four on radio
- 14:38Speaker 1: Hdarky
