- 1:07Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah? And not just in happy dad, No, I
- 1:10Speaker 2: just happy that good people though. What's your favorite flavor? Gosh,
- 1:14Speaker 2: it depends probably living live, but like, if I'm feeling.
- 1:17Speaker 1: It, great, grape is fire, grape is super good. I
- 1:20Speaker 1: like the watermelon. Watermelon.
- 1:22Speaker 2: You can't go wrong with anything in the variety pet
- 1:24Speaker 2: you can, But I'm not a big wild cherry fan.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Wild cherry is cough, syrupy. Yeah you feel me, it is. Yeah,
- 1:29Speaker 1: that's the one where because I like wild cherry other selters,
- 1:32Speaker 1: but that one I can't. It's just too cough, surping.
- 1:34Speaker 2: I don't like wild cherry anything. I can't lie.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Not a cherry guy. No, no, no, shout to my producer
- 1:38Speaker 1: fucking things up over here with a ringing phone anyway. Man,
- 1:41Speaker 1: Uh so, yeah, I first met you because you work
- 1:44Speaker 1: with my boy Sud, who's a Carolina legend, legendary DJ
- 1:48Speaker 1: in the game Man and DJ and for two Chains forever.
- 1:50Speaker 1: So how did you guys end up working together and
- 1:52Speaker 1: how did you kind of get on his radar? Because
- 1:53Speaker 1: that was like four years ago.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Yeah, damn near, I played like a I played like
- 1:58Speaker 2: a guitar at bar when I was in high school.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Yo, wait a minute, the way you just said high
- 2:04Speaker 1: school that Carolina just came high school.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Yeah, high school, high school anyway, high school. When I
- 2:10Speaker 2: was in high school, no, no, you let it, let
- 2:12Speaker 2: it fly, I played up bars because I got like
- 2:15Speaker 2: three jobs got fired from all like three weeks.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Three jobs.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Say you got five from in like three weeks. Like
- 2:21Speaker 2: I was not good. So I was like in high school, yeah, okay,
- 2:24Speaker 2: So I was like I ain't doing this no more.
- 2:26Speaker 2: So I started playing bars. And then I was playing
- 2:29Speaker 2: this bar called box Car Arcade in Greensboro, and I
- 2:32Speaker 2: met this guy in Malik, and he took me like
- 2:34Speaker 2: my first studio and we started working and sub was
- 2:37Speaker 2: throwing this show called the Parking Lot Concert. That's what
- 2:39Speaker 2: it's called, right, I remember you doing those yeah, No
- 2:42Speaker 2: stress Fest, the No Stress Fest.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Yeah yeah.
- 2:44Speaker 2: And so they were like, I think it's like a
- 2:46Speaker 2: thousand dollars for a slot, and.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Oh you was host Elite was eating talk Elite like
- 2:54Speaker 1: booked me.
- 2:54Speaker 2: And then I was supposed to go like fourth or fifth,
- 2:56Speaker 2: but I'd never done like a rap. I never used
- 2:58Speaker 2: a wireless mic, and I brought my acoustic guitar to
- 3:00Speaker 2: this like super urban show. So like I got I
- 3:03Speaker 2: was standing beside stage like ten minutes before it even started,
- 3:05Speaker 2: so so just looked down like all the other rappers
- 3:07Speaker 2: weren't there.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Yeah, You're like hey man. He was like you ready.
- 3:09Speaker 1: I was like hell yeah.
- 3:10Speaker 2: So I got on stage and then they didn't even
- 3:12Speaker 2: have like a mic stand or a like right, I
- 3:15Speaker 2: had like Guy Nam beat out holding the mic from
- 3:17Speaker 2: my guitar and Soud holding the mic from my mouth
- 3:19Speaker 2: or some crazy shit like with like.
- 3:22Speaker 1: That's random, you know what I'm saying visually, it's just
- 3:24Speaker 1: And so that's how we met.
- 3:25Speaker 2: But then a couple of weeks later, I put a
- 3:29Speaker 2: cover on Instagram of Lemonade by Don Tolliver and I
- 3:32Speaker 2: had like the No Stress This is like during COVID,
- 3:34Speaker 2: so I had the face mask on because he had
- 3:35Speaker 2: like a No Stress branded face mask, and he commented,
- 3:38Speaker 2: He's like this is fire.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Let's get in the studio and now we're here. That's dope, man.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Yeah that's like four years. Yeah, So like for people
- 3:43Speaker 1: who haven't heard you, will you hit the gate for
- 3:45Speaker 1: a lexus for me. Uh, for people who haven't heard you, man,
- 3:50Speaker 1: what would you say? Because obviously you were on on
- 3:52Speaker 1: the radar doing like a country like whet first, like
- 3:55Speaker 1: country performances. But I've heard you do like hip hop
- 3:57Speaker 1: shit too, Like yeah, what's kind of like your bag?
- 3:59Speaker 1: Would you say? Or is it just like my bad?
- 4:03Speaker 2: I have no idea, man, I think I'm still trying
- 4:05Speaker 2: to find it, But I just enjoyed making good music,
- 4:07Speaker 2: like I grew up on like Michael Jackson, Outcast, Stevie Wonder,
- 4:12Speaker 2: like the Carpenters, Like I got introduced to really good
- 4:15Speaker 2: music really young. And uh, but then you know, I
- 4:17Speaker 2: grew up when SoundCloud was popping and you had like
- 4:19Speaker 2: the little Uzy post Malone right Juice twenty three When
- 4:23Speaker 2: you just said you grew up when SoundCloud was popping, well,
- 4:26Speaker 2: I was in high school, like in my whole life,
- 4:27Speaker 2: flash before my eyes, Oh ship.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I was like, damn, that's when you were growing up.
- 4:31Speaker 1: You grew up on Juice World. Hell, yeah, I'm old
- 4:34Speaker 1: as fuck.
- 4:36Speaker 2: That's crazy, but like that's what was popular when I
- 4:38Speaker 2: was in like middle school, high school. Well, fetty Wap
- 4:41Speaker 2: was when I was in what was it six eight nine. Yeah,
- 4:45Speaker 2: and that ship came on six seven nine, six seven.
- 4:48Speaker 2: He had a twelve month run for sure. Hell yeah.
- 4:50Speaker 1: So what part of the Carolina are you from?
- 4:53Speaker 2: Uh, I'm from Trinity, which is like a super small
- 4:55Speaker 2: town in the middle of like dead center, North Carolina.
- 4:58Speaker 1: But I stay in Charlotte. Okay, So Trinity, North Carolina?
- 5:01Speaker 1: Is it like some like what do they what do
- 5:03Speaker 1: they do there? Nothing? Dude.
- 5:04Speaker 2: They squat their trucks and go to like Taco Bell
- 5:08Speaker 2: and cook out and go to the football games, go
- 5:11Speaker 2: to church.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Taco Bell, Yeah, Taco bell in church. Yeah, Taco Bell
- 5:15Speaker 1: in church. That's crazy. There aren't really much else to do.
- 5:19Speaker 1: There's like a high blast in Jesus. Yeah.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Amen, there's like three stoplights. So it's kind of all
- 5:24Speaker 2: you get.
- 5:25Speaker 1: So was it like did you grow up like was
- 5:28Speaker 1: your family listening in the country and ship?
- 5:30Speaker 2: Now, I grew up my dad was like the praise
- 5:32Speaker 2: and worship leader at our church, so he always So your.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Dad's yeah man of God.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Yeah, my whole family is. I am I'd like to
- 5:40Speaker 2: be I think getting there, you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 5:43Speaker 2: But yeah, he grew up in church, so he started
- 5:45Speaker 2: me playing drums when I was like four years old,
- 5:47Speaker 2: and then.
- 5:49Speaker 1: He was just on it. Yeah.
- 5:50Speaker 2: I just got banned in middle school, and then I
- 5:51Speaker 2: got braces. I can play like woodwinds or brass instruments.
- 5:54Speaker 2: So I picked up guitar and piano. Yeah, the whole
- 5:57Speaker 2: whole ordeal.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I didn't think about that. If you have braces, you
- 5:59Speaker 1: really are fucked as a kid. You can only learn
- 6:01Speaker 1: certain instruments. Yeah, because the metal. You can't have metal
- 6:04Speaker 1: on metal. Nah, dude, it was like shred my lips
- 6:06Speaker 1: like I hated it. Yeah, I mean for you, man,
- 6:10Speaker 1: like what is uh? I guess if someone were to
- 6:13Speaker 1: like ask you, like to describe you as an artist,
- 6:15Speaker 1: what would you tell them if they hadn't heard your
- 6:16Speaker 1: music comfortable and nostalgic?
- 6:18Speaker 3: Uh?
- 6:19Speaker 2: Describe me as an artist? It's just like I don't know.
- 6:21Speaker 2: I feel like everything just feels human, Like you know,
- 6:25Speaker 2: you listen to music and sometimes you can't tell I
- 6:27Speaker 2: don't know. I just think everything sounds like me, which
- 6:29Speaker 2: is you kind of got it. It's like looking at
- 6:31Speaker 2: a painting, like I can't describe the pain to you.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I just want you to tell me what you see,
- 6:34Speaker 2: you feel. I'm saying that's dope. Yeah, what is your
- 6:37Speaker 2: inspiration behind making the music? Like seasons of like season three,
- 6:41Speaker 2: seasons I grew up on like TV shows and shit,
- 6:43Speaker 2: like I love TV shows, I love movies, I love
- 6:46Speaker 2: like picking out certain directors, Like I feel like being
- 6:50Speaker 2: genreless you have to find because like everything is a
- 6:53Speaker 2: marketing game, you have to have something to market, Like
- 6:55Speaker 2: what are you marketing? Oh, you're good at this, Okay,
- 6:57Speaker 2: this is what we're gonna tell everybody you do. And
- 6:58Speaker 2: so it's like trying to be less and not necessarily
- 7:01Speaker 2: being able to say all the rapper all, I'm a singer,
- 7:03Speaker 2: I'm a country guy almost, you know what I'm saying.
- 7:05Speaker 2: The seasons gave me a way to like pinpoint everything
- 7:08Speaker 2: and kind of make it simple because like with season one,
- 7:12Speaker 2: I based it off of pulp fiction, so it's like
- 7:15Speaker 2: already comfortable, and the vibe of the project was that,
- 7:18Speaker 2: so I didn't have to match, it didn't have to
- 7:19Speaker 2: be the same genre all the way through. It just
- 7:20Speaker 2: had to, you know what I'm saying, feel good, feel
- 7:23Speaker 2: like that, like that nostalgic feeling.
- 7:25Speaker 1: So season one was pulp fiction feeling. Yeah, yeah, do
- 7:29Speaker 1: you have a song on there that replicates the feeling
- 7:31Speaker 1: of being Raims being raped in the button great.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Scene from the movie Gotta Ask Helena. You know the
- 7:36Speaker 2: scene I'm talking about right there?
- 7:37Speaker 1: Hell yeah, yeah, I gotta ask Now I had that
- 7:39Speaker 1: very complicated movie lot going on.
- 7:40Speaker 2: No, yeah, yeah, well they also yeah, I'm just yeah,
- 7:43Speaker 2: held hell which which.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Song is that scene? No? No, I mean I obviously
- 7:48Speaker 1: Sandlot's the newest one.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Right yeah, yeah, Sandlot was the cover. That shit was
- 7:52Speaker 2: super fun.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Holes I see, I see a lot of yeah holes.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Of season two and then we had like the Hangover,
- 7:56Speaker 2: but we also did Mister Rogers in Friday for season three. Like, yeah,
- 8:01Speaker 2: I just like TV is like a big That's how
- 8:05Speaker 2: I like write music because I'm twenty three, so I
- 8:07Speaker 2: haven't What are you watching right now? You've seen Severans
- 8:11Speaker 2: I heard about it. It's someone on Apple right, yes?
- 8:14Speaker 1: Yeah? Is getting Apple is? Yeah?
- 8:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not gonna lie I be bootlegging and no
- 8:19Speaker 2: pun intended.
- 8:19Speaker 1: But yeah, I just watched land Man. Yeah that ship's
- 8:24Speaker 1: with Billy Bob Thornton. Dude, my mom trying that ship
- 8:26Speaker 1: is crack. Yeah.
- 8:27Speaker 2: I watched the first episode and I like felt like
- 8:29Speaker 2: I would get hooked, but like, oh you will. I've
- 8:31Speaker 2: got this rule where I like, I can't start another
- 8:32Speaker 2: TV show unless I finish one, because then I'll just
- 8:34Speaker 2: You're in the middle of severn So yeah, yeah, so
- 8:37Speaker 2: Severnce is the wave, dude, Severnce is so good.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Did you watch Yellowstone?
- 8:41Speaker 2: No, but Seven's been trying to put me on that
- 8:42Speaker 2: ship like every week, like once.
- 8:44Speaker 1: We could be like you just watch Yellostone. It's good, man. Yeah, especially,
- 8:47Speaker 1: you know, I feel like it's like, I don't know,
- 8:50Speaker 1: made me want to be a cowboy. We're like, fuck, man,
- 8:53Speaker 1: I want to go fucking ride some horses. Dog, you
- 8:56Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Yeah. Landy Wilson kind of fat
- 8:59Speaker 1: at bro. Then she know it's crazy because I met
- 9:03Speaker 1: Laney Wilson in person. I only know her from Yellowstone
- 9:05Speaker 1: and the Yellowstone she got the fattest white girl ass
- 9:07Speaker 1: you've ever seen on a human. And then I met
- 9:10Speaker 1: her and I was hanging out and drinking with her,
- 9:12Speaker 1: and I didn't realize it was her until like an
- 9:16Speaker 1: hour later, and my boy was like, you know, that's Laney,
- 9:20Speaker 1: And I was like, Landy Wilson, Oh, she lost weight.
- 9:23Speaker 1: She's like like she's she hit the I don't know
- 9:26Speaker 1: if she's on like Keto or something, but Tita, but
- 9:29Speaker 1: Landy Wilson from Yellowstone and Landy Wilson now is still beautiful,
- 9:33Speaker 1: still hot. Yeah, very different. She had a fucking she
- 9:37Speaker 1: had a goddamn god damn. She still got a god
- 9:40Speaker 1: damn for sure. You know it's still there, but it's
- 9:42Speaker 1: just not like it was. You know, it's more fit now.
- 9:44Speaker 1: It's out to Laney. She's a legend for sure. So
- 9:47Speaker 1: would you say you listen to more country now or nah?
- 9:50Speaker 2: Honestly, I've been listening to a lot, like you know,
- 9:51Speaker 2: the Weekend just dropped great album, Dude, so good, probably
- 9:55Speaker 2: one of the Like I also didn't listen to albums
- 9:57Speaker 2: until recently, Like I grew up just listening to the
- 9:58Speaker 2: radio and then I made music. So it was like
- 10:01Speaker 2: I listened to like the songs that were bigger from
- 10:03Speaker 2: this single era, you know what I'm saying. So it's
- 10:05Speaker 2: like this is the first album seven got me in
- 10:08Speaker 2: albums like I went back and listened to like A
- 10:09Speaker 2: Wild what that you just got in A Yeah? I
- 10:12Speaker 2: just got like bro, I just didn't.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 10:14Speaker 2: It was like I always listened to songs as a moment,
- 10:17Speaker 2: Like I remember the first song I listened to, you
- 10:20Speaker 2: know what I'm saying, when I like when I was
- 10:21Speaker 2: built my subs in my jeet, when I got my license,
- 10:23Speaker 2: Like I always related songs to my moment, So there
- 10:25Speaker 2: was never a many album, you know what I'm saying.
- 10:27Speaker 2: But now developing as an artist and like wanting to
- 10:30Speaker 2: learn how to properly you know, introduce people to me
- 10:34Speaker 2: as a person through music is like you have to
- 10:36Speaker 2: create a feeling in a project. And so I've been
- 10:39Speaker 2: studying and yeah, like the Weekend's album that she was
- 10:43Speaker 2: insane good album, the Trip to Yeah, Yeah album, Dude's
- 10:48Speaker 2: so good, so good, You've done trumps to the album No,
- 10:51Speaker 2: not to the album Yeah, I want to Yeah so good, bro,
- 10:54Speaker 2: I no, right.
- 10:55Speaker 1: That's so good. Yeah made me feel like I was
- 10:57Speaker 1: on shrooms. Weekend's got good shrum music the most part.
- 11:00Speaker 1: He's got to get everything music.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Tam and Paula is the best shroom band ever though,
- 11:04Speaker 2: Oh for sure you ever want to just that?
- 11:06Speaker 1: Uh, it feels like Paula has got the best drug
- 11:10Speaker 1: music of all time for sure. Mac Miller's got some
- 11:13Speaker 1: show too, Uh, Mac DeMarco get for another Mac good
- 11:16Speaker 1: shroom music. Have you heard of Mac de Marco? Yes, Uh,
- 11:19Speaker 1: he's got some crazy stories behind his name. His video
- 11:22Speaker 1: is crazy, like he's always it's always. Yeah, he's got
- 11:25Speaker 1: like this. Yeah, shout out to Mac to Marco. So, uh,
- 11:29Speaker 1: I see I see you? Uh hanging with Posty Uh Yeah,
- 11:33Speaker 1: post is a great guy. He's a og at this point.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Someone else is pretty genrealists. Yeah, super nice guy, like
- 11:40Speaker 1: like the nicest guy.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Yeah, Like exactly what you see on the internet is
- 11:43Speaker 2: exactly what you get.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Yeah, did you play beer pong with him? Yeah? I did,
- 11:47Speaker 1: and I got wax bro. Yeah, he's pretty good at it. Dude.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Well he's cracked.
- 11:51Speaker 2: She is insane, Like, I ain't get no warm up
- 11:53Speaker 2: though I'm not evena cap. I did not get no
- 11:55Speaker 2: warm up, So I'm not gonna say I needed like
- 11:58Speaker 2: a good two or three game warm up. I have
- 11:59Speaker 2: my nerves going, you know what I'm saying. I'm in
- 12:00Speaker 2: the rooming like superstars.
- 12:02Speaker 1: It was happy that pong obviously, Yeah, of course, of course, yeah,
- 12:05Speaker 1: of course.
- 12:06Speaker 2: No.
- 12:06Speaker 1: I feel like, especially being from Trinity, North Carolina, there
- 12:09Speaker 1: had to be a lot of pong. It's happening.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Oh yeah, no, no, no, that's how like you have to
- 12:13Speaker 2: pass the class to get your diploma.
- 12:15Speaker 1: So you know what I'm saying, is that is that
- 12:17Speaker 1: like for you? Like? Was it? Was? It? Like when
- 12:21Speaker 1: you meet someone like post Malone, who's like one of
- 12:23Speaker 1: the biggest pop stars of all time. He might be
- 12:26Speaker 1: the most successful streaming artist ever. He's at least top
- 12:29Speaker 1: three at this point. Yes, were you nervous?
- 12:32Speaker 2: Yeah, of course, I'm not gonna lie to the first
- 12:34Speaker 2: time I met him, we were in Charlotte.
- 12:37Speaker 1: He had pulled up.
- 12:37Speaker 2: He did a show at the P and C and
- 12:39Speaker 2: then Sud's good friends with Smitti, which is his DJ.
- 12:42Speaker 2: So he had introduced us and they took us back.
- 12:45Speaker 2: We didn't know we were going backstage, so we just
- 12:48Speaker 2: pulled up. They brought us backstage. I ended up meeting
- 12:51Speaker 2: a guy named Jay and a guy named Meil, which
- 12:54Speaker 2: is Jay's son, and that's like my dog now, so
- 12:56Speaker 2: we be hanging out.
- 12:57Speaker 1: That's really how go places.
- 13:00Speaker 2: But we walked back there and he had just got
- 13:01Speaker 2: off stage and I wouldn't even expecting to see him,
- 13:03Speaker 2: and he walked in and like this cat like silk
- 13:07Speaker 2: cat gown with a bunch of cats all over it,
- 13:09Speaker 2: and I don't know why, but we ended up making
- 13:12Speaker 2: eye contact. We like the first people in the eye contact,
- 13:14Speaker 2: and my dumb ass I.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Was like, what the fuck? And then he just looked
- 13:17Speaker 1: at it and with what the fuck?
- 13:20Speaker 2: And so it was like that was kind of like
- 13:21Speaker 2: the Bob shit. I was like, oh shit, all right,
- 13:22Speaker 2: I bet that's dope.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Man. Yeah, are you are you like writing for other people?
- 13:27Speaker 1: Are you trying to get like you know, cause obviously
- 13:29Speaker 1: you're in the studio a lot, and just kind of
- 13:31Speaker 1: the I haven't tried that yet.
- 13:32Speaker 2: It's like, usually if I write a song and I
- 13:35Speaker 2: love it, I want it, and if I don't like it,
- 13:37Speaker 2: I don't.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Even want nobody to hear it.
- 13:38Speaker 2: So it's like I haven't across that, you know what
- 13:41Speaker 2: I'm saying, Like that that middle ground where I'm willing
- 13:44Speaker 2: to I'm willing for this be heard, but I don't
- 13:45Speaker 2: want to be heard out of my mind.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Like if you love a song, though, and somebody else
- 13:48Speaker 1: wants to sing it, that's much bigger than you would
- 13:50Speaker 1: you give it to them.
- 13:51Speaker 2: It depends on how much I love a song, if
- 13:53Speaker 2: it depends on if they sound better than me singing it.
- 13:55Speaker 2: If I listen to you singing and I like it
- 13:56Speaker 2: better and I like myself singing it, yeah you can
- 13:58Speaker 2: have it because I like that more.
- 13:59Speaker 1: But if I, you.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Know, enjoy the way my voice sounds on it more
- 14:02Speaker 2: than yours, and nah, it's just ship.
- 14:04Speaker 1: I feel like I'm supposed to say it. Where's been
- 14:05Speaker 1: like the most random or cool place music has taken
- 14:07Speaker 1: you so far? Probably Sweden? Sweden.
- 14:11Speaker 2: I've never been out of the country and now I've
- 14:13Speaker 2: been to like Canada and Sweden. But Canada is still
- 14:15Speaker 2: North America, so I don't know. Yeah, Canada is like
- 14:17Speaker 2: Diet America, you know what I'm saying. So it's like
- 14:20Speaker 2: we just kind of you can drive there. I don't
- 14:21Speaker 2: count that is leading the country because we drove there. Yeah,
- 14:23Speaker 2: But like I went to Sweden. Deaf Jam opened an
- 14:26Speaker 2: office in Sweden and they wanted to a are They
- 14:28Speaker 2: opened like a what do you call it a branch,
- 14:30Speaker 2: a branch of Deaf Jam and Sweden or something like that,
- 14:32Speaker 2: and they wanted one of the American artists to come
- 14:34Speaker 2: perform to like you know what I'm saying, and they
- 14:36Speaker 2: asked me to do it.
- 14:37Speaker 1: So that was super cool. What was this was? Did
- 14:40Speaker 1: you like IKEA's everywhere out there? Sweet?
- 14:42Speaker 2: Is that Switzerland or Sweden? That's Sweden and there there
- 14:45Speaker 2: that's what they were talking about. I didn't see one.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Yeah, meat balls.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Yeah that's literally what I asked bro when I got there.
- 14:52Speaker 2: I asked about that in gang violence, So they don't
- 14:54Speaker 2: got guns out there, bro, they throw grenades in the
- 14:57Speaker 2: hotel lobbies.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Like that's what bro? He was like.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Yeah, he's like no, because I was like, shit, people
- 15:02Speaker 2: are out here like rapping.
- 15:03Speaker 1: And ship you know what I'm saying, Like, what do
- 15:04Speaker 1: they talk about? Because it's not there. They talk about grenades.
- 15:07Speaker 1: They're grenading each other dead ass, like you know the
- 15:09Speaker 1: UK's like they're out there each other.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Yeah, Bro, in Sweden they like throw grenades in the
- 15:13Speaker 2: hotel It's like a warning.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Wait, so there's no terrorism, you know? That is actual terror?
- 15:18Speaker 1: That's say is that happened in the US? Brother? That
- 15:20Speaker 1: would like make headlines everywhere. That's some real like that's
- 15:23Speaker 1: some drill music for real, which we're throwing grenades at people.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Yeah what rpgn are?
- 15:28Speaker 2: Yeah that's insane. How the hell do you get access
- 15:30Speaker 2: to grenades? You can't get guns though. That's what I'm wondering.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Who the hell is selling grenade, not selling guns? I
- 15:35Speaker 1: wonder if they make Molotov cocktails, because you can make those.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Yeah, that's homemade. Somebody's got to I feel like that's
- 15:40Speaker 2: desperate though. If somebody did that shit, it's like.
- 15:42Speaker 1: They must really hate you. Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
- 15:44Speaker 1: They went through the process of making the Molotov cocktail
- 15:46Speaker 1: to try to kill you. That's like a statement piece.
- 15:48Speaker 1: They were thinking about killing you the whole time that
- 15:50Speaker 1: they're making it. Yeah, that grenades, like, yeah, the grenade
- 15:53Speaker 1: is already. Man, fucking I'm gonna throw there Molotov cocktail.
- 15:56Speaker 1: There's some do you get your night? And also you're
- 15:58Speaker 1: kind of like risking a lot. Well, I mean you're
- 15:59Speaker 1: risking a lot with a grip, but you gotta light it.
- 16:01Speaker 1: You could get messy what but you gotta make it,
- 16:03Speaker 1: you gotta pour it.
- 16:04Speaker 2: I don't know how to make it, and I'm not
- 16:05Speaker 2: gonna say that, but that's what's up, man. So what
- 16:10Speaker 2: else you got?
- 16:10Speaker 1: I mean, obviously uh uh you uh, you've been you've
- 16:15Speaker 1: been just putting that, putting in tons of work. What's
- 16:17Speaker 1: what's next for you.
- 16:19Speaker 2: We're working on season five or you know we just
- 16:20Speaker 2: released season four. Yes, I need you. So we're working
- 16:23Speaker 2: on season five right now. Shout to the sandlot.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Yeah for real, and yeah, Huncho's on there with you, right.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Yeah, hell yeah that was super far. But uh, I'm
- 16:32Speaker 2: working that tall dude as fuck?
- 16:35Speaker 1: Yeah what is he? Like? Six five? Yeah? Tall as man?
- 16:39Speaker 2: Hell yeah, I was like, God, damn, bro, I'm only
- 16:41Speaker 2: five nine, so like half the people I meet are
- 16:43Speaker 2: like way taller than me.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean five nine is like a pretty average
- 16:47Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. It's I mean, you're not sure,
- 16:49Speaker 1: but yeah, I'm not upset.
- 16:51Speaker 2: I'm grateful, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, you could
- 16:52Speaker 2: be five you know what I'm saying.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Be cooked, dude. There's just a certain level of like
- 16:57Speaker 1: height that just most women are right off. Yeah, Like
- 17:00Speaker 1: if you're like past like a certain height, I feel
- 17:03Speaker 1: like women you could be successful, you get.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's like you gotta look down at somebody.
- 17:10Speaker 1: I feel that. Yeah, Like imagine you gotta look down
- 17:12Speaker 1: at your man. Yeah, Like if someone runs up on
- 17:15Speaker 1: you like you're the taller, no, literally, yeah, what are
- 17:17Speaker 1: you gonna do? Like? Yeah, you know what I'm saying.

- 17:38Speaker 1: waffle House on every guy, Damn corner good Southern cooking.
- 17:42Speaker 1: You mean to tell me there's not some fat women
- 17:44Speaker 1: in Trinity, North Carolina that need some loving. All women need, no,
- 17:49Speaker 1: I mean yeah, they all need loving, which is why
- 17:51Speaker 1: it's you know, you should give a BBW a chance. Ship.
- 17:54Speaker 1: The thing about girls that are heftier shout out to
- 17:58Speaker 1: the you know, the heavy queens out there. Usually they're
- 18:03Speaker 1: very talented in certain aspects of the sexual process because
- 18:06Speaker 1: they have to make up for other things. Well I
- 18:08Speaker 1: thought she's about to go. Yeah no, No, Usually they're
- 18:11Speaker 1: very very like, they're very there, you know, like if
- 18:15Speaker 1: you were to look at like, uh, I'm picking Yeah,
- 18:17Speaker 1: I'm getting what you're saying. Yeah, like their abilities on
- 18:20Speaker 1: like a video game, it might be like no stamina,
- 18:24Speaker 1: stamming is like two pigs, but like head games like
- 18:27Speaker 1: thirty eight. Yeah, you know, yeah, ship, you can't give
- 18:30Speaker 1: it a shot. Man, you're in North Carolina. Brother's still rock.

- 18:36Speaker 1: a BBW. That's crazy. I don't mean like, I don't
- 18:38Speaker 1: mean like literally, but no, Yeah, what did you think
- 18:40Speaker 1: I was gonna say about? Oh, because Kanye just crashed
- 18:42Speaker 1: out on some shy said Kanye said that fat women
- 18:45Speaker 1: make our sex offenders because he's sexually offended.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Yeah, that's just insane. How do you feel about that?
- 18:50Speaker 2: That whole situation. I have no comment, no comment. I
- 18:53Speaker 2: don't want to talk about.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Anything Kanye related here, ah except for yeah, man, I mean, look, Kanye,
- 19:03Speaker 1: I don't know much about ya. I met Kanye. It's nice.
- 19:06Speaker 1: I met him a few times, but I actually like
- 19:07Speaker 1: talk to him the Vultures thing when they when they
- 19:12Speaker 1: were recording the Vultures album. I was in the Four
- 19:15Speaker 1: Seasons with him and Tie and he was super cool.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I mean, but you know, I feel like he's also
- 19:21Speaker 1: probably bipolar. Yeah, I don't know, bro, I can't. I
- 19:25Speaker 1: ain't got so his tweets are wild. Yeah that was insane. Yeah,
- 19:28Speaker 1: that ship like, did you buy a shirt? Hell? No, fuck.
- 19:32Speaker 1: There was a lot of shirts and I much that shirt. No,
- 19:34Speaker 1: I ain't bought a shirt yet. The fact that Kanye
- 19:36Speaker 1: bought a super Bowl ad and they approved.
- 19:38Speaker 2: That, That's what. That's the only thing I was thinking, like,
- 19:40Speaker 2: you just did a super Bowl ad for that ship.
- 19:42Speaker 1: It ain't even that like the fact that they know
- 19:44Speaker 1: one at the NFL or at the network because he
- 19:47Speaker 1: was crashing out on Twitter before the Super Bowl. So
- 19:50Speaker 1: the fact nobody was like, hey, we should probably pull
- 19:53Speaker 1: this atah yeah, and they just let I remember I
- 19:56Speaker 1: was at I was watching the Super Bowl. I looked over.
- 19:58Speaker 1: I was like, oh, they let this ship up. They

- 20:12Speaker 1: Season four, Season five on the way? Yeah yeah, season five.
- 20:14Speaker 1: So what if your approach of season five? What's the
- 20:16Speaker 1: do you know what which which what the art is
- 20:18Speaker 1: going to be? Like with what's the I don't I
- 20:19Speaker 1: don't know which movie we're going with you. I want
- 20:21Speaker 1: to say Talladega Nights because you know what I'm saying,
- 20:25Speaker 1: gas and it was filmed in North Carolina.
- 20:26Speaker 2: I just found that out. It's filmed, like Ricky Bobby's
- 20:28Speaker 2: house is in Lake Norman. The bar they shot it
- 20:30Speaker 2: in is downtown Charlotte. They shot it at the Charlotte Speedway.
- 20:33Speaker 2: So it's just like I feel like I coul rapp
- 20:35Speaker 2: all that together, kind of tie happy dad in get
- 20:36Speaker 2: like a car with a heavy dad wrap, just some
- 20:38Speaker 2: crazy shit heavy dad racesuit. But that's gonna be like
- 20:44Speaker 2: hopefully end of March, beginning of April, and then I'm
- 20:47Speaker 2: gonna try to do singles from like May to October.
- 20:50Speaker 2: That's dope, and just build, you know what I'm saying,
- 20:51Speaker 2: hopefully gain enough hype to where beginning twenty twenty six
- 20:54Speaker 2: I can start promoting an album.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like, uh, did you watch a lot
- 20:57Speaker 1: of Nascar growing up?
- 20:58Speaker 2: Because I feel like, honest, I didn't, But I have
- 21:01Speaker 2: a lot of history in my family with it. Like
- 21:03Speaker 2: I was super, I was stupid into music, Like I
- 21:05Speaker 2: was kind of like tunnel vision, like interesting sports or
- 21:08Speaker 2: nothing like that. Now I got the football because I
- 21:10Speaker 2: was fat and they were fat. Yeah yeah, I was fat.

- 21:20Speaker 2: I don't got extra skin. Crazy, that's got like right here,
- 21:21Speaker 2: I can pull that ship, it'll stretch.
- 21:23Speaker 1: How fat were you? Like?
- 21:24Speaker 2: What was the heap heaviest? Probably like one eighty. But
- 21:27Speaker 2: this is like I was in I.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Was in middle school, jesus, I'm like, bro, heavie. No,
- 21:33Speaker 1: but that's that's crazy. It's like five too, though, five

- 21:49Speaker 1: school too? At the beginning?
- 21:51Speaker 2: Then I hit puberty and I was playing football, and
- 21:52Speaker 2: so it was just like, were you offensive lineman?
- 21:55Speaker 1: The hell? Noah, how's an outside linebacker? And I can't
- 22:01Speaker 1: think of what else honestly? Football kind of like playing football,
- 22:05Speaker 1: you started to lose weight? Yeah?
- 22:06Speaker 2: Hell yeah, well that's the only reason I did it.
- 22:08Speaker 2: I just wanted to lose I just wanted to fucking

- 23:17Speaker 2: trying to be healthier in general too, plus like mentally,
- 23:19Speaker 2: like I feel like working out, eating better, not digest
- 23:23Speaker 2: all this horrible shit, and like vaping.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Yeah, man, that vaping shit is crazy.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Dude, that shit's horrible. I wish I'd never started fucking
- 23:30Speaker 2: money hole.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Is it worse than cigarettes? I don't know.

- 24:06Speaker 1: when you get older, it affects your like you're more
- 24:10Speaker 1: libida likely to have Alzheimer's. Yeah, so I think I'm

- 24:23Speaker 1: Yeah, who's your Like if there was like one artist
- 24:25Speaker 1: you could do a song with it. You haven't worked
- 24:27Speaker 1: with Adele Adele? Dude, Now this is the question, would
- 24:32Speaker 1: you rather work with skinny Adele or Fatadele? This is
- 24:34Speaker 1: a serious question because I would.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Rather work with the most mature Adele, which is what
- 24:39Speaker 2: Skinny ad the same. Well, she had problems with her voice,
- 24:44Speaker 2: I think because she had to stopp singing for a
- 24:45Speaker 2: while and like, but don't.
- 24:47Speaker 1: You think there's just her voice is only that of
- 24:51Speaker 1: that could have came from a person. It was a
- 24:52Speaker 1: little heavyweight. Nah, hell no, I don't know if adle
- 24:55Speaker 1: could get them notes off being skinny bro. I'm gonna
- 24:57Speaker 1: be honest, I haven't heard it yet. Since started fucking
- 25:00Speaker 1: with Rich Paul, I have heard that. I haven't heard
- 25:02Speaker 1: her hit the hit The notes same way. I don't know,
- 25:04Speaker 1: I could be wrong. I'd have to see the science,
- 25:06Speaker 1: the science, because you know what they say about the
- 25:07Speaker 1: fat lady singing, Yeah, it's true. I have to see
- 25:11Speaker 1: the science. Back in the day the opera, all them
- 25:13Speaker 1: girls were heavies. Keep coming back to fat women. Shout
- 25:17Speaker 1: to a Dell though, Is she all time great voice?
- 25:20Speaker 1: She's like top two, right, I think it's.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Like songwriting insane. Yeahs fucking yeah, it's just insane.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Yeah, you and a Deel would be nice. She's on
- 25:27Speaker 1: our favorite artist for sure. Uh is it weird? Like
- 25:30Speaker 1: because you've done like country stuff, but the country music obviously,
- 25:33Speaker 1: being with depth Jam, being with sud Like you're kind
- 25:35Speaker 1: of a part of like one side of the music industry,
- 25:38Speaker 1: very hip hop oriented. But then you go to Nashville
- 25:41Speaker 1: and it's like the Good Old Boys Club. It's like
- 25:43Speaker 1: its own thing. It's its own industry, like separate of
- 25:47Speaker 1: the rest of the music industry.
- 25:49Speaker 2: You mean, like in countries like Nashville is quote unquote country.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Yes, dude, something like because you've you obviously I'm saying like,
- 25:54Speaker 1: if you want to play in that country game, you can.
- 25:56Speaker 1: It's a whole other set of shit is crazy Hollywood.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Yea exactly his own thing. Yeah.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Yeah, But like when I when I was growing up,
- 26:02Speaker 2: you always hear like Nashville straight country music. Like if
- 26:04Speaker 2: you want to go like play the band Joe, you
- 26:05Speaker 2: got to Nashville. But dude, when we went there, like
- 26:08Speaker 2: the house music scene is jumping like rappers there, like
- 26:11Speaker 2: there's a whole It's not just country.
- 26:13Speaker 1: No. I know that. I know that, But I'm saying,
- 26:14Speaker 1: but you're you're you you have some country type shit.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Oh yeah, one hundred teer. So I'm saying like I'm
- 26:18Speaker 2: Southern like through and through. That's never gonna leave.
- 26:20Speaker 1: When I talk, I hear it. Yeah, you know what
- 26:22Speaker 1: I'm saying. It's not going away. So we know who
- 26:24Speaker 1: your parents voted for.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Bro, I'm not gonna LIU to you. I don't eve
- 26:29Speaker 2: know who my parents voted for. They get TikTok be
- 26:32Speaker 2: going crazy? What you said that said, TikTok be going crazy?
- 26:35Speaker 2: I know my phone's vibrating.
- 26:36Speaker 1: You never know what side. Yeah, no, TikTok's wild. Were

- 26:47Speaker 2: It's more like it self like it's like damn, I
- 26:49Speaker 2: don't even have to self disciplined to like not pick
- 26:51Speaker 2: up my phone and just like it's just something to do.
- 26:53Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I'm talkingout like as an artist,
- 26:54Speaker 1: I feel like if TikTok went away, I mean, obviously
- 26:57Speaker 1: YouTube shorts and reels is going to take over, but
- 27:00Speaker 1: I feel like I don't know people went too Red Note, Yeah,
- 27:03Speaker 1: did you go to Red Note? No? Hell no, that

- 27:15Speaker 2: what I'm saying. Bro, Like people was like, oh, TikTok's
- 27:16Speaker 2: bad like Red Note. There's no way Red Note wasn't worse.
- 27:18Speaker 1: I saw that people were trying to figure out how
- 27:20Speaker 1: to speak Mandarin on Red Note. That's what I'm saying.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Like it was like straight, like I think that app
- 27:25Speaker 2: was like designed for China, like Chinese people like it
- 27:28Speaker 2: was like I mean, yes, you do know what I'm saying.
- 27:29Speaker 1: So it's like TikTok was like TikTok was designed to
- 27:32Speaker 1: make us stupid Kinese people. Yeah, because their version of
- 27:36Speaker 1: TikTok is super fucking like education. I was about to say, Yeah,
- 27:39Speaker 1: I've seen videos like like where it's all like, no,
- 27:41Speaker 1: their algorithms like super positive educational out here. You know
- 27:44Speaker 1: it's brain rot it'. Yeah.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Hell yeah, it's like people shaving sand while you like
- 27:48Speaker 2: listen to somebody talk about random like Internet.

- 27:58Speaker 1: Maybe, yeah, dude, do that. I think that'd be far plus.
- 28:01Speaker 1: It's like Will Ferrell can't go wrong.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Will Farrell can't go wrong? Anything else you got work
- 28:05Speaker 2: you want to talk about? Man, oh, I really know
- 28:10Speaker 2: what I can think about. Honestly, happy to be out here.
- 28:12Speaker 2: I appreciate you having of course.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Is there is there anything that you've learned in the
- 28:18Speaker 1: last few years, because obviously you're kind of like from
- 28:21Speaker 1: Pandemic on your careers like really started to blossom, right.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I started in the pandemic. I never saw the
- 28:26Speaker 2: world before the pandemic as an artist. Really yeah, Like
- 28:30Speaker 2: by the time I.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Was well, because you're twenty three, so you were probably like.
- 28:33Speaker 2: I graduated in twenty twenty when COVID hit. So it's
- 28:35Speaker 2: like by the time I was out of high school
- 28:36Speaker 2: and could travel and like really pursue it.
- 28:38Speaker 1: So at the end of your final year of school,
- 28:40Speaker 1: well you guys, did you guys go to webcam?
- 28:42Speaker 3: Nah?
- 28:43Speaker 2: So, dude, I busted in the South. So, dude, I
- 28:45Speaker 2: busted my ass to graduate early. Like I start smart,
- 28:48Speaker 2: you graduated early. No, I wanted to drop out to
- 28:51Speaker 2: all while, like I want to drop out try to
- 28:52Speaker 2: pursue music. She's like nah, She's like, but you can
- 28:54Speaker 2: graduate earlier.
- 28:55Speaker 1: I was like bet.
- 28:55Speaker 2: So I went to school. It was like two weeks
- 28:56Speaker 2: into the first semester and they're like, nah, it's too late.
- 28:58Speaker 2: You can't change your classes, like you got to finish
- 29:00Speaker 2: the four year. So I like bluffed and I was like,
- 29:02Speaker 2: all right, I'm gonna come back tomorrow, my mom, I'm
- 29:03Speaker 2: gonna drop out. My school had a zero percent dropout, right,
- 29:06Speaker 2: So I came back the next day. You already knew
- 29:07Speaker 2: they were fucking with you know what. I'm saying, So
- 29:09Speaker 2: I came back the next day.
- 29:09Speaker 1: All right, were this stuff around.
- 29:10Speaker 2: We're gonna make sure you can graduate early. So I
- 29:12Speaker 2: graduated like January nineteenth. So you innuated a semester early. Yeah,
- 29:17Speaker 2: a semester early. So I left in January, then went
- 29:20Speaker 2: to flew out here for the first time. When I
- 29:23Speaker 2: flew out here, COVID wasn't a thing. When I flew
- 29:26Speaker 2: back home, COVID was a thing. Like while I was here,
- 29:28Speaker 2: COVID hit. So it's like my first time out here
- 29:30Speaker 2: was like the streets were empty, Like I remember taking
- 29:32Speaker 2: a picture in front of the Capitol Records Building. No
- 29:35Speaker 2: one on this street, Like.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Ya, we overreacted for sure. It was crazy, dude. Yeah,
- 29:39Speaker 1: but out there though, Trinity, North Carolina shut nothing closed
- 29:44Speaker 1: out there. Hell no, that shit. I went to Atlanta
- 29:46Speaker 1: during the pandemic. We went to Atlanta and we felt
- 29:49Speaker 1: like we're in a like upside down world. I was
- 29:52Speaker 1: getting lap dances and shit, I was, I was a man.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Pandemic is crazy. Early pandemic it was kind of crazy.
- 29:59Speaker 1: It was like, yo, we could go places. We felt
- 30:01Speaker 1: like we're in jail here. Oh, it was like that.
- 30:03Speaker 1: It's like shut down, shut down. Oh yeah, it was wild.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Like I was masked up wearing gloves like a pussy.
- 30:10Speaker 1: I remember.
- 30:11Speaker 2: I remember that because I used to say about the
- 30:12Speaker 2: gas pumps, like, yes, not pumps.
- 30:15Speaker 1: I would grab napkins. I had a box in my
- 30:17Speaker 1: rubbery gloves in my fucking car, so every time I
- 30:19Speaker 1: pump gas. That's crazy.
- 30:22Speaker 2: I forgot about that, you know, it's crazy that it
- 30:24Speaker 2: was like my kids on like all these like plexiglass
- 30:26Speaker 2: ship they put up in the middle of the restaurants,
- 30:28Speaker 2: and like they didn't.
- 30:29Speaker 1: They're still there there, They're not They're probably never gonna leave.
- 30:32Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, probably because it's quote I mean not
- 30:34Speaker 2: quote unquote, it's more sanitary.
- 30:35Speaker 1: But it's like it was never necessary. Now it's like
- 30:37Speaker 1: the worst part is when you see people to this
- 30:40Speaker 1: day driving in a car alone with a.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Mask on in l A. I've seen that a lot
- 30:44Speaker 2: out here, and now I just want to run them
- 30:45Speaker 2: off the road, like you.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Fucking pussy you're in the car when I was rolled up,
- 30:51Speaker 1: who you like, what do you think is gonna happen?
- 30:53Speaker 1: Is someone gonna fucking is COVID gonna sneak through the
- 30:56Speaker 1: fucking ac event Five years later and kill you. And
- 30:59Speaker 1: that's what I think.
- 30:59Speaker 2: I think they have something like all right, you know
- 31:01Speaker 2: you have something you don't you don't want that ship
- 31:03Speaker 2: to get out.
- 31:03Speaker 1: You know what. People are scared and this COVID ship

- 31:10Speaker 1: weak ass fools like they they won't let go of
- 31:13Speaker 1: that ship. They want to be able to you know,
- 31:14Speaker 1: I'll be at the fucking grocery store and you'll see
- 31:17Speaker 1: somebody triple masked up and they'd be like, God, damn,
- 31:20Speaker 1: can you imagine being married to that broud? Like what else?
- 31:26Speaker 1: What are we doing here? What is this? Citrus birds?
- 31:33Speaker 1: So this is a tobacco product technically, Yeah, sounds about white. Yeah.
