- 2:32Speaker 2: Jabacre's good morning, sir, welcome to the JOWE.
- 2:34Speaker 4: So, my man, how are you today? Hope you had
- 2:36Speaker 4: a good weekend, and.
- 2:37Speaker 2: I was going to ask you how your summer's gone
- 2:39Speaker 2: so far.
- 2:39Speaker 4: It's gone great, although it has been consumed with getting
- 2:43Speaker 4: our twins ready for colleagues. They're about to leave and
- 2:46Speaker 4: we're excited for them. Man, But I gotta tell you what,
- 2:48Speaker 4: like this morning, for some reason, we get up early,
- 2:50Speaker 4: and I was like super depressed thinking about them being gone.
- 2:53Speaker 4: It's gonna be tough. We just love having them around.
- 2:55Speaker 4: I mean, we have three kids, our older daughters in
- 2:56Speaker 4: college already, so man, it's gonna be a strange transition.
- 3:00Speaker 4: Just the total quiet in the house. I'm not gonna
- 3:02Speaker 4: like it. I'm not gonna like it.
- 3:04Speaker 2: As a non parent, I'll say, you may not like
- 3:07Speaker 2: it for a while, but then when they come back.
- 3:09Speaker 2: This is what my friends have told me. Well then
- 3:11Speaker 2: when they come back in let's say Thanksgiving or whatever,
- 3:14Speaker 2: then you're kind of like, hey, remember how quiet it
- 3:16Speaker 2: used to be in the South.
- 3:18Speaker 4: Yeah, well yeah, they'll they'll become their own people too,
- 3:20Speaker 4: Like I know that's gonna happen, and they can't be.
- 3:22Speaker 5: You know, kids forever. They got to grow up. And
- 3:24Speaker 5: we're excited for him.
- 3:24Speaker 4: But I'll tell you just it's we're gonna miss them
- 3:27Speaker 4: a lot.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Where they going to school.
- 3:29Speaker 5: So our older.
- 3:29Speaker 4: Daughter right now was at Ohio University in Athens, and
- 3:32Speaker 4: her younger brother, one of our twins, he'll be there
- 3:35Speaker 4: with her for a year. He's going to be a
- 3:36Speaker 4: freshman there in the fall. But his twin sister is
- 3:38Speaker 4: going to go to the University of South Carolina and Columbia,
- 3:41Speaker 4: so they're gonna split up. This will be the first
- 3:42Speaker 4: time I haven't been together, so that'll be an unusual
- 3:45Speaker 4: time for them as well.
- 3:46Speaker 2: All Right, a couple of things I want to talk
- 3:49Speaker 2: to you about. I want to talk about bridges. All right,
- 3:52Speaker 2: you were joking about building bridges, which is what you
- 3:55Speaker 2: try to do at the capitol, Hope, but I want
- 3:58Speaker 2: to talk about actual bridges. You know, there's some pre
- 4:01Speaker 2: project type org being done to get ready for the
- 4:03Speaker 2: deck replacement on the Carter Bridge. For what I know
- 4:06Speaker 2: you've been kind of monitoring all this talk about this, well.
- 4:09Speaker 4: The Eugene Carter Bridge at the Fort Hill Bridge. People
- 4:12Speaker 4: call it both things that one sets begins construction. There'll
- 4:16Speaker 4: be some pre construction stuff that happens in the fall,
- 4:18Speaker 4: but then we get to twenty twenty seven and it'll
- 4:20Speaker 4: be in full swing on the construction for that bridge,
- 4:23Speaker 4: and that's going to be a huge project. That's the
- 4:24Speaker 4: busiest bridge in the entire state of West Virginia. It's
- 4:26Speaker 4: got the most traffic by far. It's really an East
- 4:29Speaker 4: coast connector bridge. There's just a lot of traffic that
- 4:32Speaker 4: flows across that bridge from all over the eastern US,
- 4:35Speaker 4: and that's a major project. There's been a lot of
- 4:37Speaker 4: defer maintenance over the years. There was a twenty twenty
- 4:39Speaker 4: five kind of like redecking of that bridge, which helps
- 4:42Speaker 4: solve some of the problems in the short term, but
- 4:44Speaker 4: it really needs a long term fix. So I gave
- 4:47Speaker 4: the governor credit last week and the Department of Transportation
- 4:50Speaker 4: Secretary of Runbaugh that you know, new construction is where
- 4:54Speaker 4: all the fanfare is when you build something new there's
- 4:56Speaker 4: never been there before. People like that in the ribbon
- 4:58Speaker 4: cutting and it's something you know, shiny. The maintenance programs
- 5:01Speaker 4: don't get any fanfare, and really it's the opposite. People
- 5:04Speaker 4: a lot of times become critical because we need our
- 5:06Speaker 4: bridges and roads to be fixed. But it's a big
- 5:08Speaker 4: inconvenience when they when that's happening in this Fort Hill Bridge,
- 5:12Speaker 4: like it's going to be it'll take a year to
- 5:14Speaker 4: probably get this thing done, so it's going to cause
- 5:16Speaker 4: some issues. I know they're going to do the very
- 5:18Speaker 4: best they can at DOT to make those inconveniences as
- 5:21Speaker 4: small as possible, but there's no doubt it's going to
- 5:23Speaker 4: back up traffic on some days and people are going
- 5:25Speaker 4: to have to, you know, improvise. But you know, so
- 5:28Speaker 4: that's one where you're not building something new. When it's over,
- 5:31Speaker 4: it's almost like if you put a new roof on
- 5:32Speaker 4: your hash, like, oh great, I spent a bunch of
- 5:34Speaker 4: money and it looks the same as it did before. Basically,
- 5:36Speaker 4: but this is a really important project and the fact
- 5:39Speaker 4: that they're actually going to commit to a long term
- 5:41Speaker 4: repair of this bridge is really important. But it's also
- 5:43Speaker 4: part of a bigger project than Kenall County and the
- 5:46Speaker 4: Charleston metro area, which is really important to this area
- 5:49Speaker 4: of the state, which is the fifty by five program.
- 5:52Speaker 4: So within the next five years, the DOT is committed
- 5:55Speaker 4: to repairing or upgrading fifty bridges in the Charleston metro area,
- 5:59Speaker 4: the Forty Hill Bridge being the biggest one, but there's
- 6:02Speaker 4: fifty bridges in total which will be repaired or upgraded.
- 6:05Speaker 4: So this is this is a really important time as
- 6:08Speaker 4: far as those types of projects going. I'm someone who,
- 6:10Speaker 4: as a delegate who've always said I don't think we
- 6:13Speaker 4: can spend enough money infrastructure, Like I'm always in favor
- 6:15Speaker 4: of spending as much as possible on road projects, water
- 6:19Speaker 4: sewer or broadband. Like you know, I'm a big infrastructure guy.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I want to make sure that people to use the
- 6:25Speaker 2: overused cliches JB. People pack their patients because this is
- 6:30Speaker 2: going to be a major project, as you said, They're
- 6:31Speaker 2: going to start in the fall doing some you know,
- 6:34Speaker 2: some work to get ready for it. Best case scenario
- 6:37Speaker 2: about mid January of next year until mid December. I mean,
- 6:41Speaker 2: it's going to be every day. I don't know if
- 6:44Speaker 2: it's going to be seven days a week, it probably
- 6:45Speaker 2: will or so it's going to be a major, as
- 6:49Speaker 2: you said, a major inconvenience, but it's got to be done.
- 6:52Speaker 2: I mean we all every so often there's these things
- 6:55Speaker 2: that pop up, you know, as you said in twenty
- 6:56Speaker 2: twenty five, they were doing some of the work on there.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Major I mean potholes and so on. So and I mean,
- 7:03Speaker 2: once you can I'm no engineer, but once you can
- 7:05Speaker 2: see what's under the bridge, you got a problem.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Yeah, that's that's a little scary buddy. So I mean
- 7:11Speaker 4: there have been several new stories in the past couple
- 7:12Speaker 4: of years where that's happened, Like we've had some potholes
- 7:15Speaker 4: in that bridge that had been so severe that you
- 7:16Speaker 4: really have been able to see down into the river.
- 7:19Speaker 4: So you know, this is one of those ones where
- 7:20Speaker 4: some double edged so where people complaining, they're like, well
- 7:22Speaker 4: this this bridge needs to be fixed, and we're like, well,
- 7:24Speaker 4: we're finally going to do it. And it's gonna be
- 7:26Speaker 4: a big time, you know, long term fix. But it's
- 7:28Speaker 4: gonna be a big change. I mean, I think you know,
- 7:30Speaker 4: there's gonna be a period of time when half the
- 7:32Speaker 4: bridge is closed, like all the traffic is going to
- 7:34Speaker 4: be on one side of the road. So that's gonna
- 7:35Speaker 4: be a big change.
- 7:36Speaker 2: For a while. Do you remember a few years ago,
- 7:38Speaker 2: I want to have the Condour lanes here in Charleston. Yeah,
- 7:40Speaker 2: remember remember what that was like? Now you've not pleasant, yea, well,
- 7:43Speaker 2: but I mean look again, it has to be done.
- 7:46Speaker 2: And this is the most traveled bridge in the state
- 7:49Speaker 2: of West Virginians. You said, not just by West Virginians,
- 7:51Speaker 2: I mean this is a major artery for interstate travel.
- 7:54Speaker 5: Yeah it is.
- 7:55Speaker 4: So anyway, again, I applied the administration for doing this
- 7:57Speaker 4: and Secretary of Runball for making this a priority. And
- 8:00Speaker 4: I think while this one's going on, they're going to
- 8:01Speaker 4: focus most of their Canall County of resources on this project.
- 8:04Speaker 4: But again one emphasized the folks, this is part part
- 8:06Speaker 4: of a broader fifty bridge project for this Charleston metro area.
- 8:10Speaker 4: So there's a lot of resources they're gonna be dedicated
- 8:12Speaker 4: to this area soon. And I'll tell you, like the
- 8:14Speaker 4: the Kanall County delegation as a whole when it comes
- 8:17Speaker 4: to infrastructure, all my colleagues and peers, they're good on
- 8:20Speaker 4: infrastructure projects. I got to give them credit and say
- 8:23Speaker 4: that they are always advocating for that. As a delegation.
- 8:27Speaker 4: You know, we've got a few knuckleheads here and there
- 8:29Speaker 4: in different parts of the state who will do things
- 8:32Speaker 4: like vote against the budget and say we spend too
- 8:33Speaker 4: much money.
- 8:34Speaker 5: Not you know there.
- 8:35Speaker 4: I think there are places where we can definitely be
- 8:37Speaker 4: more efficient. But when it comes to road and bridge
- 8:38Speaker 4: projects again, I think we probably can't spend too much.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Those are those are really important, you know, and I
- 8:45Speaker 4: have a tendency, you know, to to agree with that and.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Speaking out you said, knucklehead, it's not me, uh, speaking
- 8:52Speaker 2: of of working together and things of that nature. You know,
- 8:54Speaker 2: there have been several questions here as of late and
- 8:57Speaker 2: with within the legislature in some delegates Republicans and Democrat
- 9:02Speaker 2: calling for taking a look at the school aid formula again,
- 9:05Speaker 2: and we don't seem to get anywhere on foster care
- 9:08Speaker 2: and things of that nature. I know that you've been
- 9:10Speaker 2: closely involved with a lot of these things.
- 9:12Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 9:12Speaker 4: Well, on the foster care side, the committee that I
- 9:15Speaker 4: share in the House, which is the House Judiciary Committee,
- 9:17Speaker 4: that's a big area of focus for us, and it
- 9:20Speaker 4: has been for a couple of years. WI I've shared
- 9:22Speaker 4: that committee, and we had a couple big initiatives through
- 9:24Speaker 4: that committee the past couple of years. So foster care
- 9:27Speaker 4: is a priority of mind. That's something else I think,
- 9:29Speaker 4: at least for now, we can't pay too much attention to.
- 9:32Speaker 4: It's critical. And then you know, when you talk about
- 9:36Speaker 4: some of the other issues that you brought up, was
- 9:39Speaker 4: the other one you just said, apologize a foster care
- 9:41Speaker 4: got that the school aid formula. That is to me,
- 9:44Speaker 4: the school aid formula. Even before I was in the legislature.
- 9:47Speaker 4: If I would ask someone to explain that, they can
- 9:49Speaker 4: never explain it in less than thirty to sixty seconds.
- 9:52Speaker 4: And even when they do, they you don't really understand
- 9:55Speaker 4: what they told you. A lot of times, and even
- 9:57Speaker 4: now as a delegate, that formula is still confusing. So
- 9:59Speaker 4: to me me, I'm like, that thing needs a major overhaul.
- 10:02Speaker 4: I mean, if you can't look at your constituents and
- 10:04Speaker 4: tell them in less than a minute what that thing
- 10:06Speaker 4: is and how it works, that's a problem. And I
- 10:08Speaker 4: also think personally we should move to what we call
- 10:10Speaker 4: a student based resource formula like a lot of other
- 10:14Speaker 4: states use. I think that will be more effective the
- 10:17Speaker 4: special education costs we all know our skyrocketing and so
- 10:22Speaker 4: you know, there are different ways I think to attack
- 10:25Speaker 4: that problem, and there's no one easy fix. But one
- 10:28Speaker 4: of the things I have personally advocated for is and
- 10:31Speaker 4: this won't solve it all, but I think this is
- 10:33Speaker 4: something we have to do. Is I think we finally
- 10:35Speaker 4: have to take this fifty five county boards of education
- 10:39Speaker 4: issue had on and consolidate some of those and say
- 10:42Speaker 4: we don't need fifty five county boards. And I'll get
- 10:45Speaker 4: some resistance to that, oh yeah, and some pushback for sure.
- 10:47Speaker 4: There are a lot of counties where the boards of
- 10:49Speaker 4: education are the largest employers, and I get it that's
- 10:52Speaker 4: going to be controversial.
- 10:53Speaker 2: And big centers of power within the county correct.
- 10:57Speaker 4: Oh, political power for sure, But you know what we're
- 11:00Speaker 4: seeing now is repeatedly, how many times do we see
- 11:03Speaker 4: counties where the state's having to step in and you know,
- 11:07Speaker 4: take these county boards over. And so I think we
- 11:10Speaker 4: just that's one of the ways we can be more efficient,
- 11:12Speaker 4: and we should have done that in a while back.
- 11:14Speaker 4: But again, there's a lot of people who don't want
- 11:15Speaker 4: to vote for that because they go back home and
- 11:18Speaker 4: it's going to cause them some heartburn and they go
- 11:20Speaker 4: back to their home county. So but that's one of
- 11:22Speaker 4: the things I have advocated for, and I had to
- 11:24Speaker 4: build that less session, which was to consolidate the county
- 11:26Speaker 4: boards and not do it immediately and haphazardly. I think
- 11:29Speaker 4: I had a three year window in that in the
- 11:31Speaker 4: bill that I proposed, which was let's take our time
- 11:33Speaker 4: and study this and figure out what the best solution is.
- 11:36Speaker 4: But I think having fifty five is just too many,
- 11:38Speaker 4: and that's that's not going.
- 11:39Speaker 5: To solve at all.
- 11:40Speaker 2: That would help some well, and I think I think
- 11:43Speaker 2: you're right about that. And again, we're talking about a
- 11:45Speaker 2: lot of the smaller counties, and we don't want to
- 11:47Speaker 2: make it look like we're picking on our smaller counties,
- 11:49Speaker 2: but it is what it is. I mean, do we
- 11:52Speaker 2: and some some people have been said, do we even
- 11:53Speaker 2: need fifty five counties.
- 11:56Speaker 4: I'm not going to I'm not going to try to
- 11:57Speaker 4: do that right now, Dave, I can do so much. Yeah,
- 12:00Speaker 4: I mean maybe, I think, you know, because of our
- 12:03Speaker 4: rural nature. There's a reason why we have fifty five
- 12:05Speaker 4: counties back in the day, because transportation was difficult and
- 12:08Speaker 4: it was hard to get from one county to another,
- 12:09Speaker 4: and sometimes it still is. But you know, I think
- 12:12Speaker 4: for now, at least the fifty five county boards, when
- 12:14Speaker 4: you take a serious look at that and ask if
- 12:15Speaker 4: we need that many personally, I don't think that we do.
- 12:17Speaker 4: And I might and again I might just trying to
- 12:19Speaker 4: pick on the small counties. If we have to divide
- 12:20Speaker 4: up some of the larger counties, if that's what the
- 12:22Speaker 4: fairest what they do it is, then that's something we
- 12:24Speaker 4: can look at as well.
- 12:25Speaker 5: Well.
- 12:25Speaker 2: And I know in some other states, Ohio is one,
- 12:27Speaker 2: you have city school systems still do and you have
- 12:30Speaker 2: county school systems, and so for example, you might have
- 12:34Speaker 2: and I'm just this is not gonna happen. I'm just
- 12:36Speaker 2: saying you could have the like the City of Charleston schools,
- 12:41Speaker 2: but the county schools would be over let's say Riverside
- 12:44Speaker 2: or something like that, just for an example.
- 12:46Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the way some states do it. I don't
- 12:48Speaker 4: know if that'd be the best model for West Virginia
- 12:49Speaker 4: based upon our demographics, but yeah, difference states to do a
- 12:52Speaker 4: different way.

- 15:31Speaker 2: Quarterbacks in the show nine to twenty three. Danny Jones
- 15:34Speaker 2: coming up a little bit later on in the show Texas,
- 15:36Speaker 2: Dave I happen to see an article on flock cameras
- 15:38Speaker 2: on MS Now Yesterday it was pretty scary. They are
- 15:42Speaker 2: way more than license plate readers, says a tankster. Texas
- 15:46Speaker 2: State is failing that students, but even more specifically our
- 15:49Speaker 2: special needs students. Total special education expenditures recently surpassed five
- 15:53Speaker 2: hundred and eighty four million dollars in a single physical year.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Because state and federal funding only covers a portion of
- 15:59Speaker 2: these costs, local districts face statewide shortfalls well over one
- 16:02Speaker 2: hundred and eighty million dollars annually. Despite having the nation's
- 16:06Speaker 2: fifth highest rate of special ed students, West Virginia consistently
- 16:09Speaker 2: ranks near the bottom of all states for special education
- 16:12Speaker 2: funding them outs regardless if any funding formula state comes
- 16:15Speaker 2: up with. Our residents need to financially support education with
- 16:18Speaker 2: more local taxes. You get what you're paid for, says
- 16:21Speaker 2: a tax sture. Us bringing a good friend now, Chuck
- 16:25Speaker 2: McGill from Capitol Mark, Good morning, sir, Welcome to the show.
- 16:28Speaker 5: Good morning, Dave, thank you for being here.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Get a big event coming up Thursday night. Tell us
- 16:32Speaker 2: about it.
- 16:34Speaker 12: Yeah, it's a chase of Appalachia. It's a tapestyle dinner.
- 16:37Speaker 12: But Dave, I've got to tell your listeners off the top,
- 16:40Speaker 12: I just checked before I hopped on the call. We
- 16:43Speaker 12: have one ticket left, one ticket. One hundred seats ninety
- 16:48Speaker 12: nine have been taken. So if anyone out here gets
- 16:52Speaker 12: pulled in by what I have to say, you're in
- 16:54Speaker 12: a race with everybody else right.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Now, and you're going to have to tell your significant
- 16:57Speaker 2: other if you have one that I guess what, You're
- 16:59Speaker 2: going to have to stay home.
- 17:01Speaker 12: Yeah, you know, it's it's it's gonna be worth it
- 17:03Speaker 12: because it is an incredible menu. It's so Chef Chef
- 17:08Speaker 12: Chase Collier of A Bruisey, the executive Chef A Brusey,
- 17:11Speaker 12: has put together the menu.
- 17:12Speaker 2: It's a ten.
- 17:13Speaker 12: Course meal with you know, all Appalachian inspired, so it's
- 17:18Speaker 12: really really neat concept. We have a really incredible menu
- 17:23Speaker 12: that includes you know, oyster and pendoban hummus. There's a
- 17:26Speaker 12: devil egg with red pepper, jelly and caviar, a salad
- 17:31Speaker 12: and some other things that I'm I'm really excited to
- 17:33Speaker 12: tell you some backstories on, but it's all. Chef Chase
- 17:36Speaker 12: is from Wise County, Virginia. He can be obviously from
- 17:40Speaker 12: Virginia in Tennessee, Kentucky and West Virginia within an hour. Uh,
- 17:44Speaker 12: you know, raised on his you know, you know, family
- 17:47Speaker 12: dinners and and you know, farm to table kind of
- 17:50Speaker 12: food in the heart of Appalachia. So really deeply inspired
- 17:55Speaker 12: menu by him.
- 17:56Speaker 2: What part of Appalachia does caviar come into in the.
- 18:01Speaker 12: Hey, it's a it's a scale finer dining version, I
- 18:05Speaker 12: got it. So so yeah, we're going to elevate all of.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Our app Well, we do like aquatic you know, we
- 18:10Speaker 2: we like to to eat things from from the water
- 18:13Speaker 2: here in West Virginia. Not exactly like you're eating crappy
- 18:16Speaker 2: or whatever, but you know, hey, who knows pental bean
- 18:20Speaker 2: hummus chuck, Yeah.
- 18:22Speaker 12: It's it's it's gonna be have a ramp pesto and
- 18:25Speaker 12: they have buttermilk crackers and baby vegetables. That's one he's
- 18:29Speaker 12: really excited for. Chef Chase was raised on pento beans
- 18:32Speaker 12: and cornbread, so we have a couple of different cornbread
- 18:35Speaker 12: inspired parts of us. We have porn bread crutons that
- 18:39Speaker 12: are going to be part of the summer. Porn Gaspacho
- 18:41Speaker 12: was the first time Chef Chase has done a cold
- 18:44Speaker 12: soup and he's really excited about that one. And of
- 18:46Speaker 12: course the pinto beans and corn bread. That's just an
- 18:48Speaker 12: apple ash of staple that when he was sitting down
- 18:51Speaker 12: for his family dinners. That's that's something that he could
- 18:53Speaker 12: always count on having.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Well, So we just had a text to the show Chuck,
- 18:57Speaker 2: and so did he just say pento bean hummus?
- 19:00Speaker 12: I did say pentobin hummus, ramped testo, buttermilk, crackers, baby vegetables.
- 19:06Speaker 12: And that's course. That's course number two of ten.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Okay, Well, take us to a couple of the other
- 19:10Speaker 2: menu items. They're a ten course meal. I mean, even
- 19:13Speaker 2: by my standards, that's a lot of food.
- 19:15Speaker 12: That's a lot of food, but you get to try
- 19:17Speaker 12: a lot. So there's two that I really want to
- 19:19Speaker 12: point out. Okay, there after course six, we're gonna we're
- 19:24Speaker 12: working with Cafe Romeo for a poppas sorbet. Now, poppas
- 19:29Speaker 12: are not all completely into season, but luckily Chef Chase
- 19:33Speaker 12: had frozen about fifty pounds of pop off from last
- 19:36Speaker 12: fall and contacted Cafe Romeo to put together the sorbet.
- 19:41Speaker 12: Super excited about doing it, so that's going to be
- 19:44Speaker 12: an interesting mid meal little treat. The other one that
- 19:51Speaker 12: we're really excited for is the barbecue pork. Now, this
- 19:54Speaker 12: is made with Iberico pork, which is important from Spain.
- 19:58Speaker 12: This is like the best cut of meat you can
- 19:59Speaker 12: poss get. And then where I like that, you know,
- 20:03Speaker 12: you have an elevated version of Appalachia on. This is
- 20:07Speaker 12: that that comes that's going to be served with apple
- 20:09Speaker 12: butter and potato salad. Now, the apple butter is one
- 20:13Speaker 12: of Chef Chase's grandmother's recipes and the potato salad is
- 20:17Speaker 12: his other grandmother's recipe.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Well, I think when you become a grandmother automatically, I
- 20:22Speaker 2: think it's like the law or in the Bible or
- 20:23Speaker 2: something that when you become a grandmother, you automatically start
- 20:27Speaker 2: making potato salad.
- 20:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 20:29Speaker 12: Absolutely, So I'm really excited for that because it brings
- 20:31Speaker 12: it brings that Iberico pork in but then combines two
- 20:35Speaker 12: different grandmothers that we get to taste their their creation.
- 20:38Speaker 12: So that's the one I'm I'm personally most excited for
- 20:41Speaker 12: and I think is especially inspired by him in his roots.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Can we refer to them as mammals though, and not grandma?
- 20:46Speaker 2: You know, I mean because this is west.
- 20:47Speaker 12: Rog Yeah, I'm not sure what his what his names
- 20:51Speaker 12: were for his grandmother's but I mean you can do
- 20:53Speaker 12: whatever you want.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Okay. Well, I know Wise County Virginia. I've been there
- 20:56Speaker 2: many many times. It's not far from here, so I'd
- 20:58Speaker 2: say there's a fair share of Mamma's and papballs down there.
- 21:02Speaker 2: We had a text service says, okay, if we're going
- 21:04Speaker 2: to Apple atche and especially for West Virginia, there's got
- 21:06Speaker 2: to be Pepperoni roll inspired dishes in there.
- 21:09Speaker 12: Somewhere there actually isn't. So I'll walk you through. There's
- 21:13Speaker 12: a there's are. We start with a fresh oyster, them
- 21:15Speaker 12: pentobean hummus, a tomato celebration, doubled egg, the sumbur cornus
- 21:20Speaker 12: sponsor that I referenced, a summer peach salad that does
- 21:23Speaker 12: include jqu Dickinson salt. Then the popaul survey, the barbecue port,
- 21:28Speaker 12: a salmon cake with ramp aoli, so there's lots of
- 21:31Speaker 12: ramp inspired. Chef Chase met with his whole team there
- 21:34Speaker 12: at Rusy to kind of collect all these ideas, right,
- 21:37Speaker 12: all these Apple Asian inspired themes. Then we'll end with
- 21:41Speaker 12: a banana pudding and a buttermilk blueberry pie. And this
- 21:45Speaker 12: is for both the ninety nine people who have purchased
- 21:48Speaker 12: tickets and the one that's still lingering out there. Chef
- 21:51Speaker 12: Chase has promised a take home gift after course number ten.
- 21:56Speaker 12: He has not told me what this is. It is
- 21:59Speaker 12: a surprise, but he's working on it and everybody will
- 22:01Speaker 12: get to take something home with them too.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Well, if you're having a ten course meal, I would
- 22:05Speaker 2: suggest Malanta at that point, that might be a good
- 22:08Speaker 2: take home good. With all due respect to to Chef Chase,
- 22:11Speaker 2: he's fabulous, but I'm just saying that is a lot
- 22:13Speaker 2: of But as you said, you're you know, we would
- 22:16Speaker 2: just be sampling little bits and pieces of everything, sampling.
- 22:19Speaker 12: Little bits and pieces. And we worked with Chef Chase
- 22:21Speaker 12: before for a Feast of the Seven Fishes dinner in
- 22:24Speaker 12: December and it really was like you got a nice
- 22:27Speaker 12: sampling of everything across the board and didn't leave too full.
- 22:32Speaker 12: But you know, we could have some to go boxes too.
- 22:33Speaker 12: You know, nothing's going to go to waste.
- 22:35Speaker 2: We're talking to Chuck McGill of Capital Market, a Dave
- 22:37Speaker 2: Island Shilling five eighty line brought to you apart by
- 22:39Speaker 2: Morgan and Morgan, America's largest injury law firm. We do
- 22:42Speaker 2: want to make sure though that people. I mean when
- 22:45Speaker 2: I was texting with you yesterday about this, I didn't know.
- 22:49Speaker 2: I mean I knew tickets were going quickly, I didn't
- 22:51Speaker 2: know that they were that you'd sold ninety nine out
- 22:53Speaker 2: of one hundred. So literally, folks, there is one ticket
- 22:56Speaker 2: left out there. How do people get that one ticket?
- 22:59Speaker 12: Yeah, just go to dot net and you can click
- 23:01Speaker 12: on events and it'll be the top list of events.
- 23:03Speaker 12: It's because it's our next event.
- 23:05Speaker 11: Uh.
- 23:05Speaker 12: So Thursday night from six to eight at Capital Market.
- 23:08Speaker 12: Outside looks like great weather and uh, it's going to
- 23:11Speaker 12: be an incredible menu. So uh, these are the type
- 23:14Speaker 12: of events we're going to continue building. And Hosikandice Nelson,
- 23:17Speaker 12: our deputy executive director, has great ideas coming off with
- 23:21Speaker 12: with some of these dinners. So kudos to her and
- 23:24Speaker 12: our team. Uh and then Chef and Chef Chasing his
- 23:27Speaker 12: team for putting this all together.
- 23:29Speaker 2: I'm just wanting to for a review of the of
- 23:32Speaker 2: the Pinto bean Hummas. I mean that's an interesting concept
- 23:36Speaker 2: to me.
- 23:37Speaker 12: I'll go, I'll go live or something and directly address
- 23:40Speaker 12: you on Facebook.
- 23:41Speaker 5: There you go, you know.
- 23:42Speaker 12: So, so yeah, I'll give you a direct report on
- 23:45Speaker 12: the pinto bean hummas. I'm pretty excited for it, all right.
- 23:47Speaker 2: So we had a text here too, said, will there
- 23:48Speaker 2: be a cookbook for sales specifically for this menu that
- 23:51Speaker 2: anyone could buy? Oh, maybe the money could go to charity?
- 23:54Speaker 2: Says it ticks.
- 23:55Speaker 12: Hey, that's a good idea. We're looking for all those
- 23:57Speaker 12: ideas where you know, Capital Market is a five O
- 24:00Speaker 12: one C three nonprofit. You know we're here to be
- 24:03Speaker 12: good community partners. And you know we do have all
- 24:07Speaker 12: the menus printed up, so you will have a menu
- 24:09Speaker 12: at your seat with everything that's in each dish, so
- 24:12Speaker 12: nothing's a secret. It won't just be the what you're eating,
- 24:16Speaker 12: but everything that's contained within it. So you'll you can
- 24:19Speaker 12: take those home too and see if you can replicate it.
- 24:21Speaker 2: All right, Chuck McGill, Capital Market, Thursday night. There are
- 24:24Speaker 2: only there is literally only one ticket left, folks, so
- 24:28Speaker 2: you need to get it, probably in the next ten
- 24:29Speaker 2: to fifteen minutes or so. I appreciate you being here,
- 24:32Speaker 2: my friend. Good luck with everything. We'll talk soon, all right,

- 30:10Speaker 2: D Street in South Charlestill. Welcome to the show now
- 30:12Speaker 2: former sheriff for restaurant tour legislator, gravedigger, author, actor and
- 30:18Speaker 2: car show winner, Race Car Race, Car Driver. I just
- 30:22Speaker 2: keep adding to it, Danny Jones. You ain't no man.
- 30:24Speaker 10: Could could I That was fun. That car show was fun.
- 30:30Speaker 2: To be talking about that for a long time.
- 30:32Speaker 10: Well, here here's the deal. There were twenty eight prizets
- 30:35Speaker 10: given away. I haven't talked about this, have.
- 30:38Speaker 2: A Yeah, we talked about last a couple of weeks,
- 30:40Speaker 2: but that's okay, talk about it again.
- 30:42Speaker 10: Well, there were twenty eight prizets given away, three of
- 30:46Speaker 10: med Bunny, and one of them was they had the
- 30:51Speaker 10: People's Choice Award from Outside of Leisure World.
- 30:55Speaker 2: It's out in California by the way.
- 30:56Speaker 10: Yeah, and then they had the people that lived in
- 30:59Speaker 10: the thousand people live there.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like a small city, or actually it's the
- 31:03Speaker 2: probably medium sized city.
- 31:04Speaker 10: Yeah, and so unlike people that when you have a
- 31:12Speaker 10: car show, they get those chairs which almost hit the
- 31:14Speaker 10: ground and they sit in them and just relaxed. I
- 31:20Speaker 10: stood in front of my car with my Vietnam shirt on,
- 31:24Speaker 10: and there were a lot of Vietnam veterans, and everybody
- 31:27Speaker 10: came by and wanted to take a picture with my car,
- 31:31Speaker 10: So I said, can I take I'll take a picture
- 31:33Speaker 10: of you all with the car, and then I snap
- 31:36Speaker 10: a picture of my information and I say do you
- 31:41Speaker 10: all live here? And they say, yeah, we live here.
- 31:43Speaker 10: I said, we're or are you going to vote in
- 31:45Speaker 10: the in the People's Choice Awards? We didn't know you
- 31:49Speaker 10: could vote. Oh yeah, you can vote right over there
- 31:51Speaker 10: and I don't know if you've picked anybody or not,
- 31:54Speaker 10: but just in case you haven't, I appreciate you considered me.
- 31:59Speaker 10: Don't get political against me.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Okay, this is this is basically the same spiel that
- 32:06Speaker 2: you use when you ran for office.
- 32:07Speaker 12: Right.
- 32:09Speaker 2: I don't know if you have a candidate yet, if
- 32:10Speaker 2: you've chosen one, but if not, I would appreciate you.
- 32:13Speaker 5: But that's right. But of course the car is beautiful.
- 32:17Speaker 10: But I stood in front of it instead of behind it,
- 32:20Speaker 10: and I didn't sit down. I stood up the whole time,
- 32:23Speaker 10: and I worked it, and I worked the crap. So
- 32:25Speaker 10: I got the People's Choice award and fifty bucks and
- 32:29Speaker 10: a plaque, and there were a lot of nice cars there.
- 32:35Speaker 10: If I had no one, I couldn't have felt bad.
- 32:38Speaker 2: Now, tell for people that haven't been listening the last
- 32:40Speaker 2: couple weeks, we've been talking about the Soga, this car,
- 32:42Speaker 2: and this car. You want remind people what kind of
- 32:45Speaker 2: car it is?
- 32:45Speaker 10: What year to nineteen fifty nine Cadillac Sadan Deville. It's
- 32:49Speaker 10: a four door hardtop.
- 32:52Speaker 2: And the door on that car is probably bigger than
- 32:55Speaker 2: a lot of cars today. That's how they used to
- 32:57Speaker 2: make cars. It's a fun car to drive kind of
- 33:00Speaker 2: engines again and.
- 33:01Speaker 5: Oh, I don't know for ube again something like.
- 33:04Speaker 10: I pretty fast though I don't know. I drove it
- 33:08Speaker 10: out there. It went okay. I mean it'll go seventy.
- 33:14Speaker 5: Miles now, Okay, that's all you need to do. You know,
- 33:17Speaker 5: I'll be seventy six next month. You're racing.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Days are behind you.
- 33:23Speaker 5: I don't do that.
- 33:24Speaker 10: But the nomad'sost to be finished by the end of
- 33:26Speaker 10: the that's what.
- 33:27Speaker 2: You're telling me. Yeah, I'm excited about that, So go ahead.
- 33:31Speaker 5: I'm looking forward that. Go ahead.
- 33:32Speaker 2: I just want to ask you something about a couple
- 33:34Speaker 2: of things in the news. I love to get your perspective.
- 33:36Speaker 2: You've been following all this with the controversy over the
- 33:38Speaker 2: flock cameras. Yeah, okay, I mean on Friday's midday show,
- 33:43Speaker 2: I talked to Mayor Patrick Ferrell of Huntington and this
- 33:46Speaker 2: is I mean, this has been going on, you know
- 33:48Speaker 2: for some time various parts of the state of West
- 33:50Speaker 2: Virginia and all over the country, people debating these flock cameras.
- 33:53Speaker 2: And they had a city council meeting in Huntington last
- 33:57Speaker 2: Monday night. I guess that went or maybe it wasn't
- 33:59Speaker 2: Monday this one night this week went till four am
- 34:02Speaker 2: the next morning. They started at six or seven with
- 34:04Speaker 2: til four am the next morning. People protesting in the
- 34:07Speaker 2: streets about it, and so on and so forth. Do
- 34:09Speaker 2: you have an opinion on them?
- 34:11Speaker 5: Well, I want to make sure I know what I'm
- 34:13Speaker 5: talking about. Yeah.
- 34:14Speaker 10: Do these cameras take pictures of license plates and then
- 34:17Speaker 10: send you a ticket?
- 34:18Speaker 5: Well?
- 34:18Speaker 2: No, not no, not necessarily. But now there are different
- 34:23Speaker 2: types of just like with anything else, Danny, you can
- 34:25Speaker 2: order different packages off a city, you can give it,
- 34:28Speaker 2: can do as much or as little as you want.
- 34:30Speaker 2: What the mayor of Huntington was talking about that he
- 34:32Speaker 2: was excited about it because it has things like gunshot
- 34:34Speaker 2: detection on it. They're not using it to send you
- 34:39Speaker 2: a ticket in the mail because you ran a stop sign,
- 34:41Speaker 2: for example. That's not what it's being used for. It's
- 34:44Speaker 2: being used for investigations and things of that nature.
- 34:47Speaker 5: That's why would somebody be against that?
- 34:50Speaker 2: Because the argument is is that it is a violation
- 34:53Speaker 2: of It's almost it's like a Fourth Amendment violation. You
- 34:57Speaker 2: know that it's not okay, and you say that's not why.
- 35:01Speaker 10: No, because it's uh, we have cameras here in this town.
- 35:04Speaker 10: Oh yeah, yeah, we have a camera in this town.
- 35:07Speaker 10: Nobody knows they're just camera that can see a good
- 35:10Speaker 10: part of the East End.
- 35:11Speaker 2: Nobody knows that these are a little bit more uh canvas, yeah,
- 35:16Speaker 2: for lack of a better term, I mean because they
- 35:18Speaker 2: can see a whole lot more than just what your
- 35:19Speaker 2: average camera you can see, depending on how they're programmed
- 35:22Speaker 2: and like at Putnam County, I interviewed the sheriff of
- 35:24Speaker 2: Putnam County on the show on Midday on Friday, and
- 35:27Speaker 2: he said, they have them there, that they placed a
- 35:30Speaker 2: big order for them, but they're just going to kind
- 35:31Speaker 2: of wait to activate them once they when once they
- 35:35Speaker 2: get more information about them, because I think there's sometimes
- 35:38Speaker 2: it's there's things that even the people, well, the thing
- 35:41Speaker 2: that I think is very interesting about this is how
- 35:43Speaker 2: it seems to have gone beyond party lines because the
- 35:48Speaker 2: people that voted for this and Huntington City Council, there
- 35:50Speaker 2: were some Republicans and there were some Democrats that voted
- 35:53Speaker 2: for it, and they're each the way. People that are
- 35:55Speaker 2: against it, Danny all had the same argument. And it's
- 35:59Speaker 2: like a big brother type thing watching everything.
- 36:03Speaker 10: So what it's it's they do it in big cities.
- 36:08Speaker 10: They do it. They do it everywhere. Use cameras and
- 36:14Speaker 10: you can catch people. Private businesses use them.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Yeah, but you have the argument is is that I
- 36:22Speaker 2: would have the right to not patronize this private business
- 36:26Speaker 2: if I didn't want to be recorded. Now, granted, every
- 36:29Speaker 2: business you go into's got some kind of camera, I
- 36:31Speaker 2: get that, But if I were somebody that were totally
- 36:33Speaker 2: against that, I could not go into that business.
- 36:37Speaker 5: A guy rank, a guy robs a.
- 36:39Speaker 10: Bank and he makes it down the street. The first
- 36:45Speaker 10: thing that the city of Charleston does they go to
- 36:48Speaker 10: see who's got cameras that focus out into the street
- 36:52Speaker 10: right and they'll find a lot of private businesses and
- 36:55Speaker 10: that's how they find the perp.
- 36:57Speaker 2: Well, that's how That's what happened in the lately feel
- 36:59Speaker 2: the shooting that took place near Ladley Field a few
- 37:03Speaker 2: months ago was there was a particular business in the
- 37:05Speaker 2: area that had the camera and it was was facing
- 37:08Speaker 2: the street, and so that's one of the ways that
- 37:11Speaker 2: they were able to track down the guy that was
- 37:14Speaker 2: accused in like a matter of like thirty minutes or something.
- 37:17Speaker 5: I'm for it.
- 37:18Speaker 10: I think it could I think they ought to Huntington
- 37:22Speaker 10: on the hold this ground and we went to Blackstone
- 37:27Speaker 10: and me and somebody else we went over to Virginia Beach.
- 37:32Speaker 10: They have a camera system and they showed where there
- 37:36Speaker 10: was a murder or beating or something in front of
- 37:40Speaker 10: a nightclub over in Virginia Beach and they we watched
- 37:44Speaker 10: it along the camera. I'm for it, all right, all.
- 37:47Speaker 2: Right, but Dave Island showing five Dyeline is broadcheed parted

- 38:06Speaker 2: can hurt you. You and I are both we both
- 38:08Speaker 2: share a fondas for Bill Maher and I'm a couple
- 38:12Speaker 2: of weeks late in this Danny, but I did catch
- 38:14Speaker 2: Vice President jd Vance on Bill Maher. It was a
- 38:17Speaker 2: good interview and one of my takeaways from that I
- 38:22Speaker 2: give jd Vance and other Republicans credit because they'll go
- 38:26Speaker 2: on his show and he talked about this. Most Democrats
- 38:30Speaker 2: will not. They featured Bill Maher yesterday on the ABC
- 38:34Speaker 2: nine o'clock show yesterday morning. Now, there are some exceptions.
- 38:36Speaker 2: Gavin Newsom has gone on Fetterman has but as Bill says,
- 38:42Speaker 2: the people of his own party, I'm Donnie Aoc, Chuck Schumer,
- 38:48Speaker 2: even Kamala Harris would ever go on his show. No,
- 38:53Speaker 2: they will, but jd Vance will. And Mike Pence was
- 38:56Speaker 2: on a couple of weeks ago and he had dinner
- 38:58Speaker 2: with the President in invited.
- 39:00Speaker 10: Him Mike Pence. He was so funny.
- 39:04Speaker 5: He uh.
- 39:06Speaker 10: To me he was the hero at January sixth, Mike Pence,
- 39:12Speaker 10: he was saying, you know, mar has a podcast that
- 39:17Speaker 10: he does from his I don't know, it's basement.
- 39:20Speaker 5: Earthy, yeah, something like that.
- 39:21Speaker 10: Yeah, but he's sitting there smoking grass. Yeah, and he's
- 39:28Speaker 10: gonna get pent on the podcast.
- 39:30Speaker 5: He's going to try to.
- 39:31Speaker 2: Get Pence said he would do it, but no, he's
- 39:34Speaker 2: not going to smoke.
- 39:35Speaker 5: He was not going to smoke any weed.
- 39:36Speaker 2: No, no, And jd Vance also said he would come
- 39:39Speaker 2: down to do it, but he said, I'm also not
- 39:40Speaker 2: going to smoke any weed.
- 39:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 39:42Speaker 2: And one of the funny things about it was I
- 39:44Speaker 2: guess They asked JD. Vance if he saw Mike Pence's
- 39:47Speaker 2: appearance on Bill Maher, and JD said, well, I bet
- 39:49Speaker 2: that was really sex, drugs and rock and roll, wasn't it.
- 39:52Speaker 2: I mean, Vance to me comes across and I know
- 39:54Speaker 2: there are a lot of people that don't like him,
- 39:56Speaker 2: and I'm not necessarily a fan of some of his
- 39:58Speaker 2: politics either, but I will say this, he comes across
- 40:01Speaker 2: as what's the word I'm looking for? Normal. He comes
- 40:04Speaker 2: across in an era that we had two consecutive presidents
- 40:08Speaker 2: that sometimes struggle with putting together a sentence in Biden
- 40:12Speaker 2: and Trump, Vance just comes across as being normal.
- 40:18Speaker 10: I'm not a fan of the administration, but he's got
- 40:21Speaker 10: some people on there that I really like. One of
- 40:24Speaker 10: Bergham Secretary Oftarier, the Scott Bessett, gave a speech while
- 40:33Speaker 10: America slept at the Reagan Library. It's on YouTube. You
- 40:38Speaker 10: need to see that. I mean, that guy's a winner,
- 40:42Speaker 10: and my favorite is Ruby.
- 40:43Speaker 12: Well.
- 40:43Speaker 2: I was going to say. One of the things that
- 40:45Speaker 2: mar brought up was he feels that the Republican nominee
- 40:49Speaker 2: is either going to be JD. Vance or Marco Ribio.
- 40:52Speaker 2: And if you guys are going to have to have
- 40:54Speaker 2: to fight it out among yourselves on that, I mean
- 40:56Speaker 2: I would right now as we sit here right now,
- 41:00Speaker 2: I would probably give the edge to JD. Vans in
- 41:03Speaker 2: our publican nomination right now.
- 41:05Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, I think it's unfortunately myself.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Why didn't Rubio when he ran for president before? Why
- 41:11Speaker 2: didn't his message resonate? Was there just too many other
- 41:14Speaker 2: people out there?
- 41:15Speaker 5: No?
- 41:15Speaker 10: No, no, not by that time it was just Trump.
- 41:19Speaker 10: He people had caught on. They they drank the kool aid.
- 41:26Speaker 10: I mean, they were gonna be for Trump.
- 41:28Speaker 5: It wasn't.
- 41:28Speaker 10: It wasn't against Rubio. It was they were for Donald Trump.
- 41:35Speaker 10: And but he's a sharp guy. Where he really is.
- 41:40Speaker 10: He gave a speech in Munich. Let me tell you
- 41:43Speaker 10: what's going on. It's in the wallste Journal this morning.
- 41:49Speaker 10: John Bolton remember him. He got convictor he pled guilty
- 41:55Speaker 10: to having some documents he should have had that he
- 42:01Speaker 10: had when.
- 42:02Speaker 5: He was a national security advisor.
- 42:05Speaker 10: And he paid two millions dollars fine something like that,
- 42:13Speaker 10: and he still gets sentenced in October.
- 42:18Speaker 5: Now he is on a list of three.
- 42:22Speaker 10: Him, Mike Pompeo and Brian Hook that the Iranians have
- 42:29Speaker 10: a contract that on okay, and if they decide, and
- 42:36Speaker 10: they had they had security teams.
- 42:41Speaker 5: Uh, President Biden put.
- 42:43Speaker 10: Security around him and they had secret server protection. And
- 42:47Speaker 10: soon as Trump became president, he took it away. And
- 42:52Speaker 10: so but if they put John Bolton in jail, they'll
- 42:57Speaker 10: kill him.
- 42:58Speaker 5: Somebody will kill him, really.
- 43:01Speaker 2: Sure tech Going back to J. D. Vance text Advance

- 43:26Speaker 2: I did not read the book, but I did see
- 43:28Speaker 2: the movie. And I remember my wife and I were
- 43:30Speaker 2: talking about this yesterday, and I remember all the controversy
- 43:33Speaker 2: of people in Appalachian that were saying that is that
- 43:35Speaker 2: is not representative Appalacia.
- 43:37Speaker 5: Oh yeah it was.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Yeah for a lot of places, it was from somebody
- 43:40Speaker 2: that's from southern West Virginia. Even though this place in Ohio,
- 43:43Speaker 2: you know, and what what well they thought it was
- 43:47Speaker 2: a I guess an over generalization, but to me it

- 43:54Speaker 2: I don't but I mean it's it's a lot of

- 46:26Speaker 2: to see police all day walking from block to block,
- 46:29Speaker 2: So we don't need cameras.
- 46:31Speaker 10: Wrong, because of the cost of the cops cost a
- 46:37Speaker 10: lot of money to have police. Now you need cameras,
- 46:40Speaker 10: and you could so you can verify. That's why they
- 46:44Speaker 10: put them inside of banks. No, that's that's wrong.

- 47:31Speaker 2: They're saying that. It's not just that it's What they're
- 47:34Speaker 2: saying is is that the information is stored. That it's
- 47:37Speaker 2: that it's.
- 47:38Speaker 10: It's stored on the back of my car, the license
- 47:42Speaker 10: plates on the back of my car.
- 47:43Speaker 5: Anybody can see it.
- 47:46Speaker 2: Nobody but you and Danny Jones admire jd Vance. He
- 47:49Speaker 2: has zero charisma, He's surly, with his face frozen and
- 47:52Speaker 2: a perpetual scowl, and he obviously bungled the talks with
- 47:55Speaker 2: Iranian leaders. He would go down in flames in a
- 47:58Speaker 2: presidential election. Number One, he was in the Marine Corps,
- 48:01Speaker 2: wasn't he. I think he was in the military. I know,
- 48:03Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure that I'm not exactly short. But number one,
- 48:06Speaker 2: I just said that he's normal. That's what That's all
- 48:08Speaker 2: I said about J. D Vance is that he comes
- 48:10Speaker 2: across as being normal.
- 48:14Speaker 15: Uh.
- 48:14Speaker 2: Texas Brian Hook's net worth is roughly between one million
- 48:17Speaker 2: and five million dollars.
- 48:18Speaker 10: Danny, Yeah, to get that off the internet.
- 48:23Speaker 2: Well, I'm assuming they did.
- 48:24Speaker 10: I mean, the reason these guys are are that iron
- 48:30Speaker 10: has a price on their head. It's because they put
- 48:32Speaker 10: together the package that that killed Sulamani. They did it
- 48:36Speaker 10: for Trump and for the country. They deserve to be
- 48:39Speaker 10: protected by Trump and by the country. It doesn't matter
- 48:43Speaker 10: what their net worth is.
- 48:46Speaker 2: Texas, bring back the metal spikes. Those were helpful. We
- 48:51Speaker 2: had some strange texts today, what metal I guess that
- 48:55Speaker 2: was the metal spikes have never gone anywhere. They're still
- 48:57Speaker 2: They're still out there. I guess well.
- 48:58Speaker 10: I had some loafer rails in the before they redid
- 49:05Speaker 10: the park over there, because the people were sitting in
- 49:09Speaker 10: the you had to walk to the mall, and women
- 49:12Speaker 10: walk to the mall and there were narrow passages there
- 49:15Speaker 10: and guys would just say awful things to them and
- 49:19Speaker 10: intimidate them. Su put these loaf of rails on the
- 49:24Speaker 10: concrete and they so they couldn't sit there.
- 49:28Speaker 2: Have you followed any of what they have done. This
- 49:31Speaker 2: big debate up in the city of Morgantown right now.
- 49:34Speaker 2: They're trying to There are certain members members of the
- 49:37Speaker 2: city Council in Morgantown, Danny, that are trying to outlaw
- 49:41Speaker 2: what they call hostile benches, meaning benches they have specifically
- 49:47Speaker 2: put benches in town that you cannot sleep on. Are
- 49:50Speaker 2: in certain not not all the benches, but some of
- 49:52Speaker 2: them to keep to keep the homeless or whoever from
- 49:55Speaker 2: sleeping on it. There's some move within Morgantown City Council
- 49:59Speaker 2: to to do away with almost say making it legal,
- 50:02Speaker 2: but to do away with all of those things to
- 50:04Speaker 2: keep the homeless from sleeping on them. Under people are
- 50:07Speaker 2: up in arms over and see.
- 50:08Speaker 10: I thought Mandami was the mayor in New York, So.
- 50:12Speaker 2: I'm gonna take it. If you were still mayor, that's
- 50:14Speaker 2: not something that you would support.
- 50:16Speaker 5: I would support it.
- 50:17Speaker 2: No, No, I mean doing away with them. You have
- 50:20Speaker 2: a problem.
- 50:21Speaker 10: No, but I don't understand their benches are you can
- 50:26Speaker 10: you sit on them during the day, You.
- 50:27Speaker 2: Can sit, but they're not conducive to laying on. That's
- 50:30Speaker 2: the point is that there may be like a rail
- 50:33Speaker 2: in between, like if it's if it's a two seater
- 50:35Speaker 2: so to speak, that there might be a rail in between.
- 50:39Speaker 10: Yeah, you could also have benches with armrest.
- 50:43Speaker 2: With me, That's kind of what I'm saying.
- 50:45Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, now I'm I'm for There's another one. A
- 50:53Speaker 10: socialist is going to get nominated in Michigan. Yes, I
- 50:57Speaker 10: saw that, and Mike Mike Rogers could win that seat.
- 51:01Speaker 10: Republicans aren't going to have a good year. I'm more
- 51:04Speaker 10: confident now that Susan Collins will be re elected.
- 51:07Speaker 2: The most take politics aside of it. Most people that
- 51:11Speaker 2: just do this for a living say the midterms are
- 51:15Speaker 2: going to be a bloodbath and it ain't going to
- 51:17Speaker 2: end up well for the Republicans.
- 51:18Speaker 10: I don't think it's going to be a blood bath.
- 51:20Speaker 10: I think the Republicans are going to lose. I think
- 51:22Speaker 10: they're going to come out on the bottom end.
- 51:24Speaker 5: Oh.
- 51:24Speaker 10: By the way, Jefferies had a conference call with Bernie
- 51:29Speaker 10: Sanders trying to get him, trying to get him to
- 51:31Speaker 10: stay out of the House races.
- 51:33Speaker 5: Huh huh, not going to do it.
- 51:34Speaker 2: No, all right, Danny Jones, always a pleasure to have
- 51:38Speaker 2: you on the show, my friend.
- 51:39Speaker 5: Yeah, we'll have you.
- 51:40Speaker 2: Back next week, I hope, all right, give it up
