- 0:00Speaker 1: Bench with jacob hester and matt flynn let's go baby
- 0:04Speaker 1: let's go from a championship backfield to your morning drive hands.
- 0:08Speaker 2: To hester and hester got it five out of five.
- 0:11Speaker 1: You're locked in to off the bench live from the
- 0:19Speaker 1: raising cane studio here's jacob hester and matt.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Flynn Yo, and welcome to OTB here live from Rouse's
- 0:35Speaker 3: on Burbank and Lee, a football Friday.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Jake Flynn and Cassie here at Rouse's.
- 0:42Speaker 4: Alondra and Tay-Tay holding it down back in the studio
- 0:47Speaker 4: in the capital city, Matt.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Yeah, downtown capital city. Good morning, Baton Rouge. Am I right?
- 0:54Speaker 2: We did it. We made it to Friday. Or are
- 0:57Speaker 2: we struggling to get there? No, I'm just, I'm always
- 1:00Speaker 2: excited to get to the weekend because we got this
- 1:03Speaker 2: beautiful slate of college football tomorrow. We do, finally. Cool, finally.
- 1:08Speaker 2: It's been about a year.
- 1:10Speaker 4: North Texas and Texas State be in the game of
- 1:13Speaker 4: the week before LSU Ole Miss last weekend.
- 1:16Speaker 2: I don't hate the game. Mean green and Bobcats. I
- 1:20Speaker 2: think Texas State's the Bobcats. Does that feel right? That
- 1:23Speaker 2: feels very right. Thank you.
- 1:26Speaker 4: But, yeah, we've got a full slate, early, mid-afternoon, prime time.
- 1:32Speaker 4: We've got a little bit of everything this week. So
- 1:35Speaker 4: looking forward to breaking it all down. We had NFL
- 1:38Speaker 4: action last night.
- 1:39Speaker 2: No, we didn't. No, we hadn't. No, we didn't. Oh, yes,
- 1:42Speaker 2: we did. That was a rerun. No. I don't think so.
- 1:46Speaker 2: I don't even know rerun live. I don't know either
- 1:48Speaker 2: way how you make that feel better if you're a
- 1:51Speaker 2: Packers fan. So we'll talk about that.
- 1:53Speaker 4: And unfortunately, talk about how good the Falcons looked last
- 1:57Speaker 4: night with them obviously being in the NFC South.
- 1:59Speaker 2: So a ton to get to. But how are we doing, sir? Well,
- 2:03Speaker 2: I mean, we're doing pretty good. We're doing pretty good.
- 2:05Speaker 2: I mean, I wouldn't say great. Okay. But we're doing
- 2:08Speaker 2: pretty good. I guess sometimes you'll take pretty good. I mean,
- 2:12Speaker 2: sometimes you'll take it. It's been... Packers didn't help last night. No.
- 2:17Speaker 2: That certainly didn't help. And didn't sleep great, you know.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Didn't sleep great. No, I don't know. You should tell
- 2:25Speaker 2: me all about it. Well, you know, I know you
- 2:27Speaker 2: didn't know, so I'm telling you now. Other than that,
- 2:30Speaker 2: I'm very excited. I'm excited for the weekend. A lot
- 2:34Speaker 2: of great football to watch. Not a huge deal. Not
- 2:38Speaker 2: a huge deal at all. Your boy is going to
- 2:40Speaker 2: be running the chain gang tonight. Wait a minute.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Is that one of those deals where if you're a parent,
- 2:48Speaker 4: you get nominated, or you, like, kind of got to
- 2:51Speaker 4: sign up for at least, like, if you're a middle
- 2:52Speaker 4: school parent, you got to do it one varsity game?
- 2:54Speaker 2: Yes. You do. You do. And the varsity parents, they
- 2:58Speaker 2: kind of do it for the middle school games. Right. So, oh, yeah,
- 3:02Speaker 2: Lacey's going to be working the concessions.
- 3:04Speaker 4: I was about to say, ours is a concession stand deal.
- 3:06Speaker 4: But for us, same deal. Like, middle school does high school.
- 3:10Speaker 4: High school does middle. Like, we have children playing. In
- 3:14Speaker 4: middle school, JV, and varsity. So you get out of
- 3:18Speaker 4: all volunteer duties?
- 3:20Speaker 2: Yeah, because if we did, we'd be missing one of
- 3:22Speaker 2: our children's games. That's true. So you should just have
- 3:24Speaker 2: more kids. Okay. Lacey? Lacey just drove off there. I know. Yeah,
- 3:33Speaker 2: so I'll be running those chain gangs. Not a big deal.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Might be a lot of first and nines for Dunham.
- 3:40Speaker 2: First and tens for the other team. You know what
- 3:41Speaker 2: I mean? Not a big deal. the concession is going
- 3:45Speaker 2: to be held down by Lacey. So it's either those
- 3:49Speaker 2: two things, or I think film is the other one.
- 3:51Speaker 2: You can film the game. They let you film it?
- 3:56Speaker 2: I think so. That doesn't seem good. It doesn't seem
- 4:00Speaker 2: like a good idea. These steady hands? Oh, my gosh.
- 4:04Speaker 2: That's why I run the chain game, though.
- 4:06Speaker 4: How about you're like, hey, I'll watch actual film with
- 4:09Speaker 4: your team and make them better.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Is that an option? I mean, it's always an option.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Did somebody just scoot past us? Yeah, somebody just scooted
- 4:18Speaker 2: past us. They see me rolling. Hey. All right. Felt
- 4:25Speaker 2: the breeze. I didn't know what that was. It was
- 4:27Speaker 2: going quick. Who are they playing? Rematch with Collegiate? I'm
- 4:31Speaker 2: not even going to try this year this week. We're
- 4:33Speaker 2: not even going to do it. We're not doing this.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Do you know? I did. I read it. It didn't register. Okay.
- 4:42Speaker 2: And I didn't go back to it. PTSD? Yeah. We
- 4:47Speaker 2: have Livonia tonight.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Okay.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Yeah, Livonia. The fighting Patrick Queens. The fighting speed traps
- 4:54Speaker 2: of 190. That's very true. You get to Livonia, it
- 5:01Speaker 2: goes 55 to 45. True. It goes from like 65
- 5:04Speaker 2: to 35. You're like, okay, sorry.
- 5:05Speaker 4: If you're going 36, you're getting pulled over.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Yep. That sounds... Yes, I know. I drove that path
- 5:13Speaker 2: a lot back in the day, going back home. And
- 5:20Speaker 2: to give them credit, not the only speed trap on
- 5:23Speaker 2: one night. Crotch Springs. Yep. You're coming down that bridge.
- 5:26Speaker 2: You're going 56. We got you. We got you. Better
- 5:30Speaker 2: luck next time. Great little gas station there, though. I mean,
- 5:35Speaker 2: I know you don't drive that anymore. They redid it. Yeah,
- 5:38Speaker 2: it would have been there. Okay. Oh, yeah.
- 5:40Speaker 4: Is that what it is? That's what the boudin is.
- 5:46Speaker 2: By the way, it looks like Dunham is playing St. James.
- 5:50Speaker 2: That's a pretty salty game. Well, God had to hope so.
- 5:55Speaker 2: That's a pretty salty game right there. That's T. James.
- 5:58Speaker 2: That's a big one. Yeah, well, that's why they brought
- 6:03Speaker 2: in this guy. To cheat a yard here, cheat a
- 6:06Speaker 2: yard there. Even if it's a half a yard, that
- 6:08Speaker 2: chain's going to be a little bit shorter for Dunham.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Which one of your former LSU teammates was a star
- 6:16Speaker 4: quarterback at St.
- 6:19Speaker 2: James? Okay, I'm assuming that means he didn't play quarterback
- 6:26Speaker 2: in college. That's correct. Who are you? Who are you?
- 6:31Speaker 1: Okay.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I don't know. No idea. Well, he was my teammate.
- 6:36Speaker 2: He was both of our teammates for a long time.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Longer you than me. Oh. I don't know. I don't know.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Can't get this one. I'll just be guessing a random teammate.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Played DB at LSU. Okay. Ronnie Prude. No, he went
- 6:55Speaker 2: to Fair Park in Shreveport. Good guess, though. Actually, for you? Yeah.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Great guess. I think he played quarterback, didn't he? He did.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Ronnie was really good at quarterback. And look at you.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I know. Look at me. One more guess. Shout out
- 7:07Speaker 2: to Ronnie. Okay. No, I don't. He wore number 13
- 7:14Speaker 2: at LSU. Oh, good player. Good player. Corey. Corey Webster.
- 7:18Speaker 2: All right. Yeah. Didn't know he went to St.
- 7:20Speaker 1: James.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Yeah. OST James. Yeah. And now you know. Okay. And
- 7:24Speaker 2: now you can use that trivia tonight during the chain game.
- 7:27Speaker 2: You go, because you probably got some small talk. Wasn't Corey, like,
- 7:29Speaker 2: one of the top basketball players in the country, too?
- 7:31Speaker 2: I don't know. Marcus was. I don't know if Corey was.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I think Corey was, too. You can use that tonight
- 7:35Speaker 2: in the chain game. Like, hey, a little trivia here, boys. Yeah,
- 7:40Speaker 2: what in the Corey Webster's going on around here? You
- 7:42Speaker 2: could use that. Yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 2: And they'd be like, Corey Webster went to St.
- 7:45Speaker 4: James.
- 7:45Speaker 2: You're like, yeah, you didn't know that? So I'll be
- 7:47Speaker 2: on their sideline, I believe, doing the run of the chain,
- 7:50Speaker 2: so I can talk trash to them. He ain't no Corey.
- 7:53Speaker 2: I know C-Web. You ain't him. Those kids better know
- 7:59Speaker 2: who C-Web is. They better. If they don't, that's the
- 8:02Speaker 2: coach's fault. I'll be disappointed if Corey's not on the sideline.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Typing him up? Yeah. I did see Corey at the...
- 8:10Speaker 2: I don't remember if it was Clemson or Louisiana Tech.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Same thing. Anywhoos.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Thought I'd give you that little fun fact. And I
- 8:21Speaker 4: also knew that There was no chance in hell you'd
- 8:23Speaker 4: get that.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Well, I was closer than you thought, I feel like.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Let's see.
- 8:30Speaker 4: Ronnie Prude played football about four and a half hours
- 8:34Speaker 4: north of St.
- 8:35Speaker 2: James. So did we get it close? I mean, if
- 8:39Speaker 2: you look at the size of the world. Yeah. That's
- 8:42Speaker 2: actually a good argument. Thank you. All right. You want
- 8:51Speaker 2: to talk about it? Yeah. Let's get into it. All right.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Let's rip it off.
- 8:58Speaker 4: The Atlanta Falcons go on the road to Lambeau.
- 9:04Speaker 1: 35-14.
- 9:05Speaker 2: And the Packers kind of scored a trash touchdown at
- 9:07Speaker 2: the end.
- 9:08Speaker 4: It was really 35-7. Michael Penix Jr. throws for 256.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Bijan runs for 194. Drake London, 194 receiving yards.
- 9:23Speaker 2: And they go into your trap and take your trap. Look,
- 9:26Speaker 2: I told y'all last night in the group text, I said,
- 9:29Speaker 2: there ain't no team in the history of football that
- 9:31Speaker 2: was beating the Falcons that night. Wow. They were just
- 9:36Speaker 2: crazy impressive. Best team I've ever seen in my life.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Had to have been. No, this is, unfortunately, the Green
- 9:45Speaker 2: Bay Packers are in this weird place right now where
- 9:47Speaker 2: they're not good. Yeah. And I don't see a path
- 9:51Speaker 2: forward for them. currently. They are in no man's land
- 9:56Speaker 2: in the NFL. They are in Chargers land, right? now
- 10:00Speaker 2: where they're not necessarily. OK, so they're not good right now. No,
- 10:04Speaker 2: like for real. They're not good. But like, I guess
- 10:07Speaker 2: I'm kind of like jumbling up multiple years together now
- 10:11Speaker 2: where they're not like bad. They're not great. It's like
- 10:14Speaker 2: they need to be.
- 10:15Speaker 4: A little worse so you can get a better draft
- 10:17Speaker 4: pick or you need to be better so you can compete.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Yep. They can't use Micah Parsons right now. He's not
- 10:23Speaker 2: going to be available until mid to end October, something
- 10:26Speaker 2: like that. You don't have a first rounder next year
- 10:29Speaker 2: because you traded him for Micah Parsons. He's only played
- 10:32Speaker 2: a handful of games for you. And if you tried
- 10:37Speaker 2: to trade him. He's going to have, like, a $ 50
- 10:41Speaker 2: or $ 55 million cap hit. Dead cap space. So, like,
- 10:45Speaker 2: they're in this weird place that they need a running game.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Jordan Love is good, but, like, he's not that. He's
- 10:55Speaker 2: not that good.
- 10:55Speaker 4: Why will he have a place to step up and
- 11:00Speaker 4: run and refuse to do it?
- 11:03Speaker 2: He's only picked up like one first down with his
- 11:06Speaker 2: legs like in two years.
- 11:07Speaker 4: Some crazy stat. We were talking about it yesterday on
- 11:09Speaker 4: the afternoon show.
- 11:11Speaker 2: He's athletic. Yeah.
- 11:14Speaker 4: He won't do it. I don't know if at some
- 11:17Speaker 4: point he took a big shot like.
- 11:18Speaker 2: In high school or college. I don't know. He won't
- 11:21Speaker 2: do it. There's something missing in his game. And I
- 11:24Speaker 2: don't know what it is because we've seen him be great. Yeah.
- 11:28Speaker 2: But not for, like, a sustained period of time.
- 11:30Speaker 4: Right.
- 11:31Speaker 2: The best was the first year he started. Like, the
- 11:33Speaker 2: back half of that season was like, oh, my God,
- 11:35Speaker 2: this guy's, like, Packer fans are so lucky. They're going
- 11:38Speaker 2: to have, like, another one come through. He hadn't been
- 11:41Speaker 2: that since then. And there's something missing in his game.
- 11:44Speaker 2: There's something missing with the team. I don't know what
- 11:46Speaker 2: it is. Matt Flynn. But, like, I think Packers fans
- 11:52Speaker 2: and people, like, took for granted maybe a little bit
- 11:55Speaker 2: of Aaron Rodgers, especially towards the end. Even though he
- 11:59Speaker 2: won back-to-back MVPs towards the end of his career there
- 12:02Speaker 2: in Green Bay. Just kind of a little bit of
- 12:04Speaker 2: grittiness and a little bit of a-hole-ness that you kind
- 12:08Speaker 2: of have to have on a team. In a good way.
- 12:11Speaker 2: In a positive direction. But a little bit of old
- 12:15Speaker 2: school grit. They feel very new school to me. They do.
- 12:20Speaker 4: Who on that team, when Ish gets tough, would you
- 12:24Speaker 4: trust in the Foxholes?
- 12:26Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean, Tucker Kraft comes to mind,
- 12:28Speaker 2: but like a little bit, a little bit on offensive side.
- 12:32Speaker 2: I don't know anybody and I don't know the names
- 12:34Speaker 2: of most people on defense. Yeah.
- 12:36Speaker 4: Like, OK, there's nobody on defense that like this scares you.
- 12:41Speaker 2: So maybe they're just like maybe their strategies this year
- 12:44Speaker 2: is like to go opposite of what they did last
- 12:46Speaker 2: year because they started out so good last year. They
- 12:48Speaker 2: started out, I was like the greatest team I've ever
- 12:50Speaker 2: seen in my life. My God. So maybe they just
- 12:53Speaker 2: decided to, let's just do the opposite of that. Let's
- 12:55Speaker 2: be terrible at the beginning. Yeah. And we'll get better.
- 12:58Speaker 2: But I just don't know. They're in no man's land.
- 13:04Speaker 2: And unfortunately, they're in the north. And they can't get
- 13:08Speaker 2: by with being in no man's land.
- 13:10Speaker 4: No. Because Minnesota looks really good. And that wasn't even
- 13:14Speaker 4: the team we were talking about.
- 13:15Speaker 2: We were talking about Detroit and Chicago.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Um matt lafleur's probably probably not making it he's not
- 13:20Speaker 2: making it and uh like try saying that two years
- 13:23Speaker 2: ago right or even exactly 12 months.
- 13:26Speaker 4: Ago resume is good but to your point the future
- 13:31Speaker 4: looks so cloudy you can't see what he did in
- 13:33Speaker 4: the past right you can't and um are the falcons
- 13:38Speaker 4: on the other side of it like appendix are good
- 13:41Speaker 4: I mean, Penance looked good after a little bit. Look,
- 13:44Speaker 4: the first shot was bad, but he hadn't played football
- 13:46Speaker 4: since Jesus was a boy.
- 13:48Speaker 2: It is wild.
- 13:49Speaker 4: Like, when you don't have a quarterback, and they didn't.
- 13:51Speaker 4: They had Cooper Rush and Jack Strand, all right? But
- 13:54Speaker 4: when you just get somebody that can solidify things, they
- 13:57Speaker 4: don't have to be a world beater. They just have
- 14:00Speaker 4: to solidify the offense. And that's what he did last night. Now,
- 14:03Speaker 4: he was better than that. I do want to give him, like,
- 14:05Speaker 4: he was.
- 14:06Speaker 2: He wasn't just like a manager. No. He was at
- 14:08Speaker 2: the beginning. They were trying to get his feet back
- 14:11Speaker 2: underneath him, but I mean, hell, he threw for over, what,
- 14:14Speaker 2: 200 in the second half? He did.
- 14:16Speaker 4: But even in the first half, it's like, man, when
- 14:19Speaker 4: you don't have a guy and you finally get somebody
- 14:20Speaker 4: that's at least functional, that's got some skill, that understands
- 14:24Speaker 4: what he's supposed to be doing back there. Like, then
- 14:27Speaker 4: it makes B. John Robinson be B. John Robinson and
- 14:30Speaker 4: Drake London be Drake London. Now, Kyle Pitts, you couldn't
- 14:32Speaker 4: find him with a search warrant still, but the other guys,
- 14:35Speaker 4: they got involved.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Man, B. John is one of the smoother athletes that
- 14:39Speaker 2: we've ever seen play the game. Like, he really is.
- 14:42Speaker 2: And that's saying, because there's obviously been a lot of
- 14:44Speaker 2: great athletes. But, man, he's smooth, and he's so smooth,
- 14:50Speaker 2: you miss– Like, I feel like defenders don't time up
- 14:55Speaker 2: his speed very well because he's so smooth, you don't
- 14:58Speaker 2: realize how fast he's actually going. And you saw, like,
- 15:00Speaker 2: on the big run he had earlier in the game,
- 15:04Speaker 2: they just took terrible angles at him. I used to
- 15:06Speaker 2: see this with– I'm not comparing, okay, this different position, different, like, athleticism. But, like,
- 15:12Speaker 2: Jordy Nelson was the same way. He was so smooth
- 15:15Speaker 2: that people would miss– like, they would not take the
- 15:18Speaker 2: right angle every time. I feel like that's– it's like
- 15:21Speaker 2: that with Bijan. And then he does. The way he
- 15:23Speaker 2: can turn. And I'm not just talking about cut. I'm
- 15:26Speaker 2: not talking about cutting. A lot of us can cut.
- 15:28Speaker 2: A lot of us can put our foot in the
- 15:29Speaker 2: ground and go cut. Yeah.
- 15:30Speaker 4: The way that he turns his whole momentum on a dime,
- 15:35Speaker 4: I've never seen. I'm sure there's somebody that can be like, well,
- 15:38Speaker 4: this running back in the 70s or the 80s. I've
- 15:41Speaker 4: never seen somebody be able to be full speed and
- 15:44Speaker 4: then all of a sudden just contort their body to
- 15:46Speaker 4: go to a completely different gap and then not really ever.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Stop, though. Yeah.
- 15:51Speaker 4: Like, he never stops. He's full speed and just twisting
- 15:54Speaker 4: and turning.
- 15:55Speaker 2: At full speed or full torque, and it's like, oh, man.
- 15:58Speaker 4: And I tell you what, I felt a lot better
- 16:00Speaker 4: about the Saints-Falcons game that's coming up in primetime before
- 16:04Speaker 4: last night.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I did. Because you load the box, and Drake London
- 16:09Speaker 2: was really good last night. He was really good, and
- 16:12Speaker 2: he kind of showed you. Oh, yeah, that's why he
- 16:14Speaker 2: gets $ 36 million per year.
- 16:16Speaker 4: You think he was excited not to have Cooper Rush?
- 16:20Speaker 2: Look, shout out to Cooper Rush. He held it down
- 16:22Speaker 2: in Dallas for a while. Three games. It was longer. No,
- 16:27Speaker 2: it was long. It was like three years. But yeah,
- 16:33Speaker 2: tough scene. Lambeau is such a magical place. It's an
- 16:36Speaker 2: awesome place, especially night games there. And it is unfortunate.
- 16:40Speaker 2: I feel bad for the Packer fans. And I'm. preaching
- 16:45Speaker 2: to the choir I'm talking to Saints fans right now
- 16:47Speaker 2: so like I get it nobody feels sorry for anybody
- 16:50Speaker 2: but I do just because of no man's land and
- 16:53Speaker 2: everybody here listening probably understands how that feels and I
- 16:57Speaker 2: hope they figure out a way.
- 16:58Speaker 4: We will find out if the Falcons if that was
- 17:00Speaker 4: real or if it was fool's gold you go at
- 17:03Speaker 4: New Orleans Baltimore at home Chicago at home San Francisco
- 17:07Speaker 4: at home one of the tasks to be overseas there's
- 17:10Speaker 4: no way they got three straight games in the ATL right.
- 17:15Speaker 2: How rare do you get three straight games at home
- 17:18Speaker 2: in the NFL? Sounds unlikely. One, two, no. Looks like
- 17:22Speaker 2: that one's in Mercedes as well.
- 17:23Speaker 4: Looks like, yep, they're getting three straight games at home.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Wow. They do play overseas, but it's not until the
- 17:35Speaker 2: week after. Which game is that? Bengals. Looks like 8.30 a.m. Ooh,
- 17:41Speaker 2: nothing like a little 8.30 a.m. football. Can't wait to
- 17:44Speaker 2: wake up for that one. So, again, Falcons all over
- 17:47Speaker 2: the Packers. Going to change. All over. Relax, man. Relax.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Just say they lost. I mean, it was 35-7.
- 17:53Speaker 4: They gave them a token touchdown at the end. They
- 17:57Speaker 4: were leading 7-0, though.
- 17:58Speaker 2: They were. They were strong.
- 18:02Speaker 4: Changes kind of the outlook of what the Falcons can be.
- 18:05Speaker 4: So certainly we'll talk about that because, well, that's going
- 18:07Speaker 4: to be after this week in the Saints' next opponent.
- 18:09Speaker 2: All right, we will step away.
- 18:11Speaker 4: We've got more OTB coming right back your way. Stay
- 18:14Speaker 4: locked in here. We are live from Rouse's on Burbank
- 18:17Speaker 4: and Lee.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Off the bench. Locked in on LSU football 24-7. You're
- 18:35Speaker 1: listening to Off the Bench.
- 18:36Speaker 4: I've learned all my lessons before now.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Born to be down. I think you'll get used to it.
- 18:50Speaker 2: And you just don't get it.
- 18:52Speaker 1: You keep it copacetic.
- 18:53Speaker 2: And you learn to accept it. You know you're so pathetic.
- 18:58Speaker 2: And you just don't get it. You keep it copacetic.
- 19:02Speaker 2: All right, welcome back in.
- 19:06Speaker 4: OTB here live from Rouse's on a football Friday. I'm
- 19:10Speaker 4: going to let Matt Flynn continue to chew. I'll tell
- 19:12Speaker 4: you about RejuveMe. Go to RejuveMeMedical.com. 13 locations across Louisiana,
- 19:17Speaker 4: one in Mississippi as well. If you want to get
- 19:20Speaker 4: that first step back, if you want to feel like
- 19:22Speaker 4: your youthful self again, very easy.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Go get your blood drawn. Come back in about a
- 19:28Speaker 2: week's time. Have a consultation. They're already going to have
- 19:31Speaker 2: your plan in place for you.
- 19:33Speaker 4: And in as little as that little small window, you're
- 19:37Speaker 4: going to be on a plan back for your success,
- 19:40Speaker 4: back for your youthful self.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Rejuvenatemedical.com. How's that breakfast, Barbel? Oh, boy. Got some hot eggs.
- 19:50Speaker 2: got some breakfast hash browns aka tater tots i love
- 19:56Speaker 2: a tater tot uh yeah because you're american we also
- 20:00Speaker 2: have a new visitor The most interesting man in the world.
- 20:04Speaker 2: I was like, Cassie's been here. What are you talking about?
- 20:06Speaker 2: Check out my new guy right here. Check out this bobblehead.
- 20:09Speaker 2: This might be the greatest bobblehead ever created on earth. Yeah.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Stay thirsty. Here's the problem.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Okay.
- 20:17Speaker 4: I've already probably made Lacey mad because I said something about, like,
- 20:20Speaker 4: you know, you just have more kids.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Yeah. Like, you don't have to do the chain gain
- 20:23Speaker 2: and the concession stand. Lacey, that's coming home. Oh, this
- 20:27Speaker 2: is coming home. For sure. And you're in the middle
- 20:29Speaker 2: of a renovation where you're trying to make your home better. Mm-hmm. Well.
- 20:35Speaker 2: What's better than a centerpiece like that? That's right. We're
- 20:37Speaker 2: trying to look for ways. We call that a focal
- 20:39Speaker 2: point in the room. This is definitely. It really ties
- 20:42Speaker 2: the whole room together. We're looking for ways, you know,
- 20:46Speaker 2: to save some bucks here and there. And this baby.
- 20:49Speaker 2: That's going to be it. Our baby right here. She's free.
- 20:52Speaker 2: That's true. Didn't cost you a thing. Didn't cost me
- 20:55Speaker 2: a darn thing. And guess what? I hate to break
- 20:57Speaker 2: it to Katie, but you got one as well. There's
- 21:02Speaker 2: one right over there. She's right over there. Maybe he
- 21:04Speaker 2: should book in the table after this break. You know,
- 21:08Speaker 2: it's funny. In my office, studio, whatever you want to
- 21:11Speaker 2: call it, the voice of.
- 21:13Speaker 4: The Tigers, Chris Blair, he had this Elvis Presley bust
- 21:16Speaker 4: that he was gifted. And his wife pretty much said, hey,
- 21:19Speaker 4: we need you to get that out of the house.
- 21:22Speaker 4: And so he gifted that to me.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Okay. And I know the perfect place for the most
- 21:25Speaker 2: interesting man. Oh, yeah. Right next to the Elvis Presley
- 21:29Speaker 2: bus in my office. I love that. This is definitely
- 21:31Speaker 2: going behind my desk where I do all my Zoom
- 21:34Speaker 2: calls for work. It's going to be perfect. You are
- 21:40Speaker 2: going to be Zooming and be like, hey, Matt, what
- 21:42Speaker 2: is that behind you there? What is that? So drink
- 21:46Speaker 2: Dos Equis and then drink my high. We've got some
- 21:54Speaker 2: Friday night football that's not in the high school world. Oh,
- 21:57Speaker 2: do we? Let me guess. Miami? I think they are, actually.
- 22:02Speaker 4: How does Miami get all these Friday games? I mean,
- 22:05Speaker 4: I know we talked about it yesterday, but I don't
- 22:06Speaker 4: think we ever actually.
- 22:07Speaker 2: We never came to the decision.
- 22:09Speaker 4: No, we never actually figured out why and who and
- 22:12Speaker 4: what and when and where and any of that. It's
- 22:17Speaker 4: not just Miami, though. We have a bunch of games, actually.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Indiana. Indiana. Clemson and California. That'd be Cal Berkeley.
- 22:26Speaker 4: Okay. Heated ACC rivalry game out there in Northern California.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Wait.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Oh, man.
- 22:35Speaker 2: I always forget that. I always forget that. Yep. That
- 22:39Speaker 2: takes me a second every time.
- 22:41Speaker 4: Yeah. I actually think Miami's playing on a Saturday for
- 22:43Speaker 4: the first time in a while. But tonight, I actually
- 22:47Speaker 4: think you have some that are like today, like during
- 22:49Speaker 4: the day. Army and Temple. Is it 3 p.m.? Then
- 22:52Speaker 4: you've got Howard and Rutgers. You've got Navy and UAB.
- 22:56Speaker 4: You've got Northwestern and Indiana. You've got Clemson and Cal.
- 23:00Speaker 4: That's going to be all tonight.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Why would you play at 3 p.m. on a Friday?
- 23:04Speaker 2: I don't know. It's Army and Temple, so I don't know.
- 23:06Speaker 2: I don't know. Philadelphia's obviously got a lot of history.
- 23:09Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 23:10Speaker 4: I don't know if it's something to do with them
- 23:12Speaker 4: playing Army. I'm not sure, but that's what time the
- 23:15Speaker 4: game says it is.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Okay. Can you imagine going to Clemson? I don't know.
- 23:21Speaker 4: Three years ago, like you're a big five-star recruit, and
- 23:25Speaker 4: you've had the two seasons that you've had kind of
- 23:27Speaker 4: back-to-back here, and then also they tell you, hey, we're
- 23:30Speaker 4: going to get on a plane and go play a
- 23:31Speaker 4: conference game in.
- 23:32Speaker 2: A five-hour flight. Oh, God. Not a five-hour drive, a
- 23:40Speaker 2: five-hour flight. Yeah. Whoever ran the Pac-12 needs to be
- 23:45Speaker 2: in prison for what they've done, for the Big Ten
- 23:49Speaker 2: and the ACC, for everybody over there. It's pretty embarrassing. Wait,
- 23:54Speaker 2: what's the Big Ten matchup, Oregon-USC this week? Yep. Is
- 23:57Speaker 2: that correct? It is. Ooh, classic. It's that gritty northern football.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Clemson's only a one-and-a-half point favorite. Cal's not that good.
- 24:12Speaker 2: They got a good quarterback, but no. I mean, a two-and-one,
- 24:14Speaker 2: but they're not that good. What if Clemson... Okay, stay
- 24:17Speaker 2: with me.
- 24:18Speaker 4: Okay.
- 24:18Speaker 2: What if Clemson goes and loses to Cal... And then,
- 24:25Speaker 2: you know who the next game is? Miami.
- 24:30Speaker 4: What if they lose to Cal? I think Tay-Tay was
- 24:32Speaker 4: talking about this during the break earlier this week. And
- 24:36Speaker 4: then they go and they get housed by Miami.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Is it loud for Dabo? Yeah, I mean, I think
- 24:44Speaker 2: it's got to be.
- 24:45Speaker 4: It's a small town. He's done so much. He's brought
- 24:48Speaker 4: them to heights they've never been before. So I don't
- 24:50Speaker 4: pretend to know. what the temperature for him there would
- 24:53Speaker 4: be like. I know what it would be for him
- 24:55Speaker 4: if he was, like, here. We've seen that. Guys that
- 24:58Speaker 4: have won national championships, they've had a bad season. Then
- 25:01Speaker 4: they start to have a second bad season. They say,
- 25:03Speaker 4: holler at your boy. If he loses to Cal and
- 25:08Speaker 4: he's 2-2 and then he gets beat up by Miami
- 25:11Speaker 4: and he's 2-3, I don't pretend to know if they
- 25:15Speaker 4: can– pay his buyout I don't know the money.
- 25:18Speaker 2: That Clemson has yeah no no it's I don't think
- 25:21Speaker 2: he makes it out of this year without mutually parting
- 25:24Speaker 2: ways I don't think he gets fired but I think
- 25:26Speaker 2: they part ways you think out of respect for what
- 25:28Speaker 2: he's done oh 100 and I as much as I
- 25:31Speaker 2: like to make fun of him that he deserves.
- 25:34Speaker 4: That oh okay well there's I agree I agree with
- 25:38Speaker 4: you but there's a lot of coaches they got fired
- 25:40Speaker 4: here in the middle of a season and they didn't
- 25:41Speaker 4: care to have a hey You've done so much.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Let us let you finish the season. Yeah, I guess
- 25:50Speaker 2: that's true. Are you talking about Les? Les and Coach O.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Coach O wasn't the coach for that long of a time.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Now he did coach the greatest college football team to
- 25:59Speaker 2: ever play the game. Yeah, true.
- 26:01Speaker 4: I'm saying he won a Fiesta Bowl, then won a
- 26:04Speaker 4: national championship, but for Les, he won one, played in
- 26:07Speaker 4: a lot of New Year's Six Bowl games, played in
- 26:09Speaker 4: another national championship, and The game he got fired on,
- 26:14Speaker 4: if you snap the ball a second earlier, you win.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:18Speaker 4: Hmm.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a good point. I still think Ma Reed's
- 26:22Speaker 2: right on that one. Yeah. As far as the mutually
- 26:25Speaker 2: parting ways, they probably don't do it midseason unless, I guess,
- 26:29Speaker 2: tragedy hits. But, like, I think he might have bought
- 26:32Speaker 2: himself to the end of the year with, I mean,
- 26:35Speaker 2: as weird as it sounds, with beating Belichick. even as
- 26:40Speaker 2: like sloppy and as bad as it seemed. Um, he
- 26:43Speaker 2: probably did, but this is, I think this is definitely
- 26:46Speaker 2: the end for him, which I don't see them. They're
- 26:48Speaker 2: not good enough to turn it around in a big way. No,
- 26:51Speaker 2: they're not good enough to, even if they do beat Cal,
- 26:54Speaker 2: they're not good enough to like, you have to do
- 26:56Speaker 2: something special. You'd have to go beat Miami. You'd have
- 26:58Speaker 2: to beat Miami. You'd have to do, you'd have to
- 27:01Speaker 2: do something, make the ACC championship. I don't know. I
- 27:03Speaker 2: don't know what their schedule lines up. Like, I don't
- 27:05Speaker 2: know if you can beat Louisville or I don't know
- 27:07Speaker 2: if they play. Um, But you'd have to do something special,
- 27:11Speaker 2: I think, at this point. I think he's just shown
- 27:14Speaker 2: too much resistance to change and evolve. That's another portion
- 27:18Speaker 2: of it, too. If they want to keep following into
- 27:20Speaker 2: a deeper hole of irrelevancy, then they've got to make
- 27:23Speaker 2: a change. The noise has to be loud because once
- 27:26Speaker 2: you get a taste of being at the top, the
- 27:30Speaker 2: people around the university, they expect it.
- 27:34Speaker 4: Real quick before we take a break, which program– It's
- 27:40Speaker 4: more dead. Clemson or Florida State?
- 27:49Speaker 2: It'll be Clemson if they don't do something at the top.
- 27:56Speaker 2: I mean, I feel like at least.
- 27:57Speaker 4: I mean, both of them just feel like they're in
- 27:59Speaker 4: this purgatory of, like for Clemson, it's not wanting to change.
- 28:04Speaker 4: It's stuck in their ways. We're going to do it
- 28:06Speaker 4: our way, and our way is going to work. We'll
- 28:08Speaker 4: figure it out, and they haven't. And then for Florida State,
- 28:11Speaker 4: they've tried to do things according to their budget. They
- 28:15Speaker 4: just don't have the dollar bills to do so. I mean,
- 28:19Speaker 4: Mike Norvell at any other, you know, air quote, major school,
- 28:24Speaker 4: he was fired 18 months ago.
- 28:28Speaker 2: They don't have the money. Right.
- 28:30Speaker 4: Which is crazy because when you and I were growing up,
- 28:34Speaker 4: they were top five every year. When you and I
- 28:37Speaker 4: were in elementary and middle school, there wasn't a year
- 28:39Speaker 4: where they weren't top five. No, I don't know if
- 28:43Speaker 4: he's a good coach or not. I'm saying anywhere else
- 28:46Speaker 4: he would have been fired 18 months ago of a
- 28:49Speaker 4: team that has the pride of a Florida state.
- 28:51Speaker 2: They just can't fire him because they can't pay him.
- 28:52Speaker 2: They can't pay him. And if they do, what's it
- 28:56Speaker 2: do to the rest of the program? Rich Florida state people? No. No.
- 29:02Speaker 2: There's got to be somebody out there. No, there's not.
- 29:05Speaker 2: I think– Okay.
- 29:07Speaker 4: You know how I know who, like, and, Doc, I
- 29:11Speaker 4: apologize if you're listening to this.
- 29:12Speaker 2: I know you play for Florida State. You know how
- 29:14Speaker 2: I know, like, who their big alumni is?
- 29:18Speaker 4: Because I've listened to Danny Cannell, when we've done shows together,
- 29:22Speaker 4: talk about the owner of Spanx being a Florida State alum.
- 29:25Speaker 2: That's a good one. But they don't give. I think
- 29:27Speaker 2: she was on Shark Tank. They don't give money. She
- 29:30Speaker 2: was a shark. Okay. Well, she's not giving money to
- 29:32Speaker 2: Florida State. She's too much of a businesswoman. She's smart.
- 29:36Speaker 2: She's like, oh, there's no ROI. There's actually no return
- 29:39Speaker 2: on investment when you give money to college teams. Yeah.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Got it. Well, that's not good. So I'll say them then. Okay. Yeah.
- 29:50Speaker 2: If you don't have money, great. I think Clemson, if
- 29:52Speaker 2: you do have the money, you're eventually going to see
- 29:55Speaker 2: a product that you just can't overlook because of the past. Sorry, Davo.
- 30:00Speaker 2: You're a dork. All right. And you know what? You
- 30:02Speaker 2: might be fired. Still hope you fall down the hill.
- 30:07Speaker 4: Maybe it comes when he comes back to celebrate one
- 30:09Speaker 4: of the championship teams.
- 30:11Speaker 2: That would be fun. You know? That would be fun.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Then your bet would hit. At some point, he's going
- 30:16Speaker 2: to fall down that hill. All right. We'll take a break.
- 30:18Speaker 2: More OTB when we come back here live from Rouse's.
- 30:22Speaker 2: Off the bench. All right, go to RussellPools.com.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Russell Pool Company, been in South Louisiana since the 1960s.
- 30:30Speaker 4: And we tell you that every day because, well, you know,
- 30:33Speaker 4: the weather here, it can be harsh.
- 30:35Speaker 2: It can be hot. It can be humid. We can
- 30:36Speaker 2: have storms. We have a lot of rain.
- 30:38Speaker 4: And if you don't have somebody that understands that, they're
- 30:40Speaker 4: going to build you a pool and you're going to
- 30:42Speaker 4: have issues. You're never going to have an issue with
- 30:44Speaker 4: Russell Pool Company because, again, they've been in the game.

- 31:50Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Hester and Flynn, Baton Rouge's go-to
- 31:54Speaker 1: for all things Louisiana sports.
- 31:58Speaker 2: All right, welcome back in.
- 32:02Speaker 4: OTB here live from Ross's Burbank and Lee.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Chevelle? What the band? Chevy. Oh, I'll take them with
- 32:13Speaker 2: the car. The Red? I got nothing for you. I
- 32:18Speaker 2: didn't hear it. You didn't hear it? I didn't really
- 32:20Speaker 2: hear it. My goodness.
- 32:21Speaker 4: I mean, it was playing, but I wasn't listening. I
- 32:24Speaker 4: do know they were playing some Matchbox 20 up in
- 32:26Speaker 4: here earlier.
- 32:27Speaker 2: They sure were. I do know that. It was jamming.
- 32:30Speaker 4: And I told Cassie she was negative eight when that
- 32:32Speaker 4: album came out.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Because that was factual. Negative eight. Respect knowing, like, the
- 32:39Speaker 2: date that that year came out and then Cassie's birth date.
- 32:42Speaker 2: I don't. So, Cassie, I don't remember.
- 32:44Speaker 4: Somebody was saying, I think somebody was saying how young
- 32:46Speaker 4: she was, and they gave her birth year, like, Monday.
- 32:49Speaker 2: That's how I know. Ah. Yeah. And then I know
- 32:52Speaker 2: the song came out.
- 32:53Speaker 4: Because, like, on SiriusXM, like, when they play a song,
- 32:57Speaker 4: it has the year by it.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Fair enough. That's how I know. Oh, okay. All right.
- 33:03Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying? So, let's put two and
- 33:05Speaker 2: two together. Simple math. I didn't want you to know this,
- 33:09Speaker 2: but I'll tell you. I don't subscribe to Sirius. That's
- 33:14Speaker 2: on me.
- 33:15Speaker 4: Do you think that I thought that you would support
- 33:18Speaker 4: anything that I do?
- 33:20Speaker 2: Like when I buy my high? When I wear a
- 33:23Speaker 2: my high hat around town? I think I bought you
- 33:25Speaker 2: my high last week.
- 33:26Speaker 4: When I wear a my high hat every flag football
- 33:28Speaker 4: game that I coach?
- 33:29Speaker 2: That's true. You're welcome for that free hat. That is
- 33:33Speaker 2: so you to turn it like that. We got two
- 33:38Speaker 2: most interesting mans in the world. Yeah, me and you.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Not a big deal. Not a big deal. Not a
- 33:46Speaker 2: big deal. These are quality. These must be American made.
- 33:53Speaker 2: Why would that matter? Quality. Okay. This is the greatest
- 33:56Speaker 2: country ever. That's also fair. That is fair. Are we
- 34:05Speaker 2: going to find out anything....
- 34:07Speaker 4: About indiana tonight they play as well i know we
- 34:10Speaker 4: spent time on clemson and cal they played northwestern yeah
- 34:15Speaker 4: like for somebody that and look they won the national
- 34:18Speaker 4: championship i get it they're great i covered that team
- 34:21Speaker 4: they had a lot of really good players great personalities
- 34:24Speaker 4: worked hard but they sure do talk a lot for
- 34:28Speaker 4: somebody that's played north texas howard and western kentucky.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I was a little disappointed. Do you want to
- 34:36Speaker 2: know what their big non-conference game is? That's going to
- 34:39Speaker 2: make me mad, isn't it? No, because it's already all
- 34:43Speaker 2: played out. Okay. Are you serious? That's it. North Texas?
- 34:48Speaker 4: North Texas, Howard, and Western Kentucky. The rest of the
- 34:54Speaker 4: games are conference games.
- 34:57Speaker 2: They should be kicked out of the top ten.
- 35:01Speaker 4: It is, like, it is, like, that's going back to
- 35:04Speaker 4: the AP poll conversation that, you know, in Indiana.
- 35:07Speaker 2: Again, national chance. It doesn't fit. It doesn't fit Cignetti's, like, his. Anybody, anytime, anywhere.
- 35:14Speaker 2: What he tries to push to people. He's pushing this
- 35:18Speaker 2: tough attitude, all this stuff. But, like, bud, Cignetti, your
- 35:22Speaker 2: actions speak so loud, I can't hear what you're saying. Sorry, dude. Like,
- 35:26Speaker 2: you're trying to create this. build this, paint this picture
- 35:29Speaker 2: of yourself right now. And I get it. I mean,
- 35:32Speaker 2: I guess I don't know when these things, these games
- 35:34Speaker 2: could have been scheduled five years ago. I have no idea.
- 35:37Speaker 2: But the narrative that's playing out right now is that
- 35:40Speaker 2: you are wanting to be Notre Dame.
- 35:45Speaker 4: What would LSU's, now it gets tough, it gets a
- 35:48Speaker 4: little tougher, but what would LSU's record be if it
- 35:50Speaker 4: was North Texas, Howard, Western Kentucky, Northwestern, Rutgers, Nebraska?
- 35:54Speaker 2: What would it be in the, it's still, I'd be
- 35:57Speaker 2: around what they are, around five in the country. Yeah.
- 36:02Speaker 4: Now, for them, it does go Ohio State, Michigan, Minnesota, USC,
- 36:06Speaker 4: Washington to wrap it up.
- 36:08Speaker 2: Then they got Purdue. Poor Purdue. Good God. Bad, bad.
- 36:13Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
- 36:14Speaker 4: And that's why, like, the college football playoff, like, I
- 36:18Speaker 4: think that came out yesterday, like finally going to look
- 36:20Speaker 4: at a metric for strength of conference.
- 36:23Speaker 2: Like, you have to do those things. We were looking
- 36:25Speaker 2: at– who was it? Was it Miami that we were
- 36:27Speaker 2: looking at?
- 36:27Speaker 4: They got one more ranked game as far as teams
- 36:30Speaker 4: that are ranked right now.
- 36:32Speaker 2: LSU has five. And I think Miami's really good.
- 36:37Speaker 4: And I think Miami could hold their own to say
- 36:40Speaker 4: the least in the SEC.
- 36:41Speaker 2: But I also think they'd be 10-2. I saw the
- 36:43Speaker 2: metric come out. I don't really 100% understand how it's
- 36:47Speaker 2: going to be utilized. Is it going to be like
- 36:49Speaker 2: a tiebreaker situation? Is that going to be part of it?
- 36:53Speaker 4: It's going to be another– data point and how they
- 36:56Speaker 4: come up with the teams and how they kind of
- 37:00Speaker 4: weigh the team because they're going to weigh the conference,
- 37:03Speaker 4: which they should be already doing.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Yeah, they should be. Again, it's not Miami's fault that
- 37:12Speaker 2: their teams get bad, right? So if it is a
- 37:15Speaker 2: toss-up situation. And Miami will at least play the big boys.
- 37:21Speaker 2: They will. I'll give them credit.
- 37:22Speaker 4: They will play They'll play a Texas A & M
- 37:24Speaker 4: in the non-con.
- 37:25Speaker 2: So it's not slight at Miami. Apparently Indiana won't, though.
- 37:29Speaker 4: But this year, like, their non-conference was Florida A & M,
- 37:35Speaker 4: Central Michigan.
- 37:38Speaker 2: And Notre Dame. And Notre Dame's ACC adjacent.
- 37:42Speaker 4: Remember, they play, like, half of an ACC schedule.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Don't give them that credit. Well, they do, but. Don't.
- 37:49Speaker 4: And Notre Dame's the only team that's ranked on their schedule.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Virginia Tech might be maybe at some point. They're coming. Who?
- 38:03Speaker 2: Virginia Tech. The Hokies? Yeah. Yeah, I don't know, man.
- 38:10Speaker 2: It is disappointing to me because, again, Cignetti and Indiana,
- 38:16Speaker 2: they built up so much equity. Yeah. Just from like
- 38:19Speaker 2: a respect standpoint from everybody else. Like, my God, look
- 38:21Speaker 2: at what they did. No five stars. Their coach called
- 38:25Speaker 2: out Ohio State when he got first. And like we
- 38:27Speaker 2: all laughed at it, but he backed it up. Yeah.
- 38:30Speaker 2: And he is tough, man. Greatest coach in college football,
- 38:32Speaker 2: which he still has earned that right to be called. Yeah. However,
- 38:37Speaker 2: he built all this equity up and you're just like
- 38:39Speaker 2: to me. And it's one that didn't, like, look at
- 38:43Speaker 2: the schedule for Indiana real hard before the year. But
- 38:46Speaker 2: I hear about these games over and over, and I'm like, wow.
- 38:48Speaker 2: It's kind of like tearing that equity down a little
- 38:50Speaker 2: bit brick by brick. All right.
- 38:52Speaker 4: Again, that's Friday night action. So you've got Clemson and Cal.
- 38:57Speaker 4: You've got Northwestern and Indiana.
- 38:59Speaker 2: Playing.
- 39:00Speaker 4: If you're into Army and Temple at 3 o'clock, they
- 39:03Speaker 4: got that as well.
- 39:05Speaker 2: If you're looking for something to bet on.
- 39:07Speaker 4: In the early afternoon to kind of get your weekend started.
- 39:11Speaker 4: But we'll take a break and when we come back,
- 39:12Speaker 4: we'll continue looking at the slate of games.
- 39:15Speaker 2: We'll break down.
- 39:16Speaker 4: LSU and Texas A & M. One last look at
- 39:19Speaker 4: the Saints and the Raiders as well. And we've got
- 39:21Speaker 4: your favorite games. What's the ticket? Going to put the
- 39:24Speaker 4: pontoon parlay together. So a lot still coming your way.
- 39:27Speaker 4: Stay locked in here to OTB.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Off the bench. All right.

- 39:47Speaker 4: it's trash day tomorrow. You shouldn't sleep on the couch.
- 39:51Speaker 4: You should put your trash out.
- 39:52Speaker 2: Wake up, you dummy. They also have pick up on holidays.
- 39:57Speaker 2: What do I mean by that?
- 39:58Speaker 4: I'm not saying they're going to pick up like on Christmas,
- 40:00Speaker 4: but if Christmas falls on your trash day, they'll come
- 40:03Speaker 4: back on the weekend and pick up your trash.
- 40:06Speaker 2: Nobody else is going to do that.
- 40:07Speaker 4: Everybody else is going to wait until the next week.
- 40:09Speaker 4: They're going to make sure once a week, no matter what,
- 40:11Speaker 4: you have trash pickup.
- 40:12Speaker 2: Go to TrashRangers.com. Yeah, it's fantastic residential service, but it's

- 40:50Speaker 1: for all things Louisiana sports.
- 41:02Speaker 2: Man, I didn't know they let bulls inside of Rouse's. Yeah,
- 41:05Speaker 2: they do. Shout out to Bull Hurley. Come and hang out.
- 41:09Speaker 2: Hitting that breakfast bar up right now. World famous breakfast bar,
- 41:13Speaker 2: I believe is what he said when he walked in.
- 41:14Speaker 2: He's lucky there's any left. Am I right? Yep. I
- 41:18Speaker 2: got my eggs. Got mine. Boy, those tots were good too.
- 41:22Speaker 4: After Cassie got two plates full of eggs, we're like, hey,
- 41:25Speaker 4: save some for the rest of us.
- 41:26Speaker 2: Yeah, there's paying customers. Wow. There he is. It's right
- 41:32Speaker 2: over my shoulder. Mr. Bull Hurley.
- 41:36Speaker 4: Oh, you know the best part about The slate of
- 41:39Speaker 4: games that we keep talking about all week long because
- 41:41Speaker 4: we're so excited that we don't have poo games.
- 41:45Speaker 2: We get an 11 a.m. Tennessee, Texas. Yeah, I know
- 41:50Speaker 2: a big game. It should be.
- 41:52Speaker 4: But as a fan of just football and not those
- 41:56Speaker 4: teams start your day.
- 41:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I guess that's good. I'd be upset
- 42:00Speaker 2: if it was my team. I would. Yeah, but it's not.
- 42:02Speaker 2: So I don't care. So, yeah, I guess you start off.
- 42:04Speaker 2: Start off right. That's about the time Tuesday night's soccer
- 42:08Speaker 2: game kicks off.
- 42:09Speaker 1: Oh.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Memphis is at 9. Okay. I think we're at 11. Yeah.
- 42:14Speaker 2: I'll high five as we're leaving. I'd rather watch that
- 42:18Speaker 2: than those two UT teams play. You don't like the orange?
- 42:23Speaker 2: I used to love the orange. I told you I
- 42:25Speaker 2: wanted to go to Tennessee originally in high school because
- 42:30Speaker 2: I liked Rocky Top. Like the song. Really? Yep. And
- 42:36Speaker 2: you heard it and you still like it. I told
- 42:37Speaker 2: you the first time I fell in love with the SEC,
- 42:39Speaker 2: I was on a recruiting trip for my buddy. Yeah.
- 42:44Speaker 2: Who was getting recruited to Alabama over to Tuscaloosa. And
- 42:47Speaker 2: it was Alabama versus Tennessee. And it was Casey Clawson
- 42:52Speaker 2: throwing to Jason Witten. And they beat Alabama in Alabama.
- 42:57Speaker 2: And this was like 2000 or 2001 maybe. Yeah. And
- 43:02Speaker 2: Jason Whitten scored a touchdown. He was wearing number one.
- 43:05Speaker 2: And I was like, what's this? I remember my recruiting visit.
- 43:08Speaker 4: I went with me and John David Booty went to
- 43:11Speaker 4: Tennessee hosting Miami that same year, our junior year.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Nice. And it was a kid that grew up going
- 43:17Speaker 2: to old Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco, Texas. Those were
- 43:19Speaker 2: the games that I went to. Are you trying to
- 43:22Speaker 2: say it was a little bit more of an atmosphere?
- 43:24Speaker 2: I went to Bryant. And I was like, my eyes
- 43:26Speaker 2: were wide. I was looking around like, what the heck
- 43:30Speaker 2: is this? And then Tennessee was winning, and they were
- 43:33Speaker 2: playing this magical song the whole time. And I was like,
- 43:36Speaker 2: what is this song? And they're like, it's Rocky Top.
- 43:39Speaker 2: I'm like, what does that mean? Well, you know, the
- 43:41Speaker 2: mountains and blah, blah, blah. I was like, well, I
- 43:43Speaker 2: want to go there. Do they have a chance to
- 43:47Speaker 2: beat the burnt orange?
- 43:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:50Speaker 2: Yeah, they got a chance. You think so? Texas is
- 43:52Speaker 2: going to lose some. They're not the greatest team to
- 43:56Speaker 2: ever be created. They should have. You know, I should have,
- 44:00Speaker 2: could have, would have. Ohio State beat them for the
- 44:03Speaker 2: most of that game. We play 60 minutes fleeing. They do.
- 44:08Speaker 2: That's why they got the old clock on the scoreboard, right? Yep.
- 44:14Speaker 2: I was cheering pretty hard against them. Against Texas? Yeah.
- 44:18Speaker 2: Something about Sarkeesian, I don't like him very much. Is
- 44:21Speaker 2: there anything he can do about it? No. It's just
- 44:23Speaker 2: his face, really. I think he's an a-hole. All right.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Fair enough. I don't know him, so he might be
- 44:27Speaker 2: a great guy. He's always been great to me. On
- 44:29Speaker 2: the group text, the SC group text, I probably feel
- 44:33Speaker 2: like he's the troll. He's the a-hole. He tried to
- 44:35Speaker 2: recruit me to USC, and Coach O said no. Okay. Yeah.
- 44:40Speaker 2: I told you that story. Dang, Coach O. I forgot it. Yeah.
- 44:43Speaker 2: It was impactful? That impactful for you? It was very impactful. Cool.
- 44:47Speaker 2: All right.
- 44:47Speaker 4: We will step away, and when we come back at
- 44:49Speaker 4: the top of hour number two, we are going to
- 44:51Speaker 4: give you... Our final look at LSU versus Texas A
- 44:55Speaker 4: & M.
- 44:56Speaker 2: Off the bench. Hey, Matt, where are we? Grouse's. Which one? Burbank.
- 45:03Speaker 2: What's the cross street? Capital City. Burbank and? Lee. Lee.
- 45:08Speaker 2: Come see us. Come hang out.
- 45:10Speaker 4: Come eat eggs like Bull Hurley. Breakfast bar right behind us.
- 45:14Speaker 4: Come get your tailgating package. It's already ready to go.
- 45:16Speaker 4: You pick it up. You put it in the car.
- 45:18Speaker 4: You bring it to Tiger Stadium tomorrow.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Yeah. That feels easy. Yeah, it does. All you got
- 45:22Speaker 2: to do is come see us, Rouse's.
- 45:23Speaker 4: Go to Rouse's.com and find your location, even if you
- 45:25Speaker 4: don't want to come see us, to see where your
- 45:27Speaker 4: location's at.
- 45:28Speaker 2: That tailgating package, it's at your store, too. Go to Rouse's.com. Yeah,
- 45:32Speaker 2: Burbank and Lee. Burbank, not to be confused with Segan.
- 45:36Speaker 2: And Lee, not to be confused with college or... What? What? What, dude?
- 45:43Speaker 2: I'm just talking about all these roads. Go to Rouse's.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Rouse's is the best grocery store in all of Louisiana.
- 45:49Speaker 2: So go check it out. They got great people, great
- 45:51Speaker 2: service right here. And they can get everything. Stay hydrated
- 45:53Speaker 2: with some IHOP right over here. Go check them out
- 45:55Speaker 2: at your local Rouse's.
