Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to The Sean O'Connell Show, your source for
- 0:14Speaker 1: the best youth football coverage.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Here's O.C. from the Murdoch Hyundai Studio of ESPN 700
- 0:19Speaker 2: at 92.1 FM. Welcome back to the Sean O'Connell show.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Welcome in the Utah football legend and recent ring of
- 0:30Speaker 2: honor inductee, the Superbowl champion, the head coach of the
- 0:34Speaker 2: Rancho Bernardo Broncos, our guy, Eric Weddle. What a Sarah,
- 0:39Speaker 2: Eric Weddle. How are you?
- 0:42Speaker 3: What's the word? What's the word? I'm out here in
- 0:45Speaker 3: good old Italia, Italy for Silver's competition. So I'm just
- 0:52Speaker 3: hanging out, getting some pizza right now by myself.
- 0:57Speaker 2: How's the competition going so far? Have they done their
- 0:59Speaker 2: thing yet? Have they competed yet? How goes the dad life?
- 1:04Speaker 3: Yeah, it's great. They have basically two routines today and Saturday,
- 1:10Speaker 3: and then top ten move to Sunday to basically figure
- 1:15Speaker 3: out who's the world champ. Yeah. they did pretty well today.
- 1:20Speaker 3: They're there in the, I think around 20th out of
- 1:23Speaker 3: 42 centuries. So they got some work to do on
- 1:26Speaker 3: Saturday that makes Sunday.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Fingers crossed. What, uh, what level of expertise in this
- 1:32Speaker 2: sport have you developed, uh, watching, right? Because like, that's
- 1:36Speaker 2: one thing I'm guilty of. I watched the Olympics and
- 1:39Speaker 2: like three days of watching gymnastics or swimming or whatever.
- 1:41Speaker 2: I'm just like, Oh, that's terrible. Oh, that was the
- 1:44Speaker 2: best thing I've ever seen. So, uh, how big of
- 1:46Speaker 2: an expert are you on this acrobatic stuff after her involvement?
- 1:50Speaker 3: I'm definitely a pro. Like I can, I can, I
- 1:54Speaker 3: know when there's deductions, I know when it looks good. Uh,
- 1:57Speaker 3: The artistry, I don't really know how they get points
- 2:01Speaker 3: or not, but the skills, the actual skills, when they're
- 2:04Speaker 3: throwing each other up and holding is insane. It's really
- 2:13Speaker 3: crazy and cool to see. a kid be so dedicated
- 2:17Speaker 3: and passionate about something that they're in the world stage.
- 2:19Speaker 3: So it's just here to support her is pretty awesome.
- 2:38Speaker 2: in lights at the drone show. I don't know if
- 2:40Speaker 2: you expected that, but just tell me how it felt,
- 2:43Speaker 2: you know, that ceremony and that, that moment where you
- 2:45Speaker 2: were honored officially.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Yeah, it was man, the whole day, uh, you know,
- 2:51Speaker 3: we got up there landing about one and then, uh,
- 2:55Speaker 3: got everything situated and heads up to the U around
- 2:59Speaker 3: five 30. And just for really from five 30 to
- 3:02Speaker 3: about halftime, I was, uh, running around and, uh, Seeing fans,
- 3:08Speaker 3: seeing donors, just saying hi and thanks and really seeing
- 3:13Speaker 3: the support and having people share stories and telling me
- 3:18Speaker 3: just what a joy it was for them to watch
- 3:22Speaker 3: me and how I made them proud really was like
- 3:25Speaker 3: some of the highlight of the whole 24-hour experience was
- 3:28Speaker 3: spending time with the fans and just sharing stories, sharing experiences,
- 3:34Speaker 3: and then obviously the whole halftime show. I didn't know...
- 3:38Speaker 3: what that the whole drone, the drone show was going
- 3:40Speaker 3: to have me in it. They just made sure like, Hey,
- 3:42Speaker 3: make sure you watch the drone show at halftime. And
- 3:45Speaker 3: I was like, okay, like I'm not really, that's my
- 3:48Speaker 3: first live drone show. So that was pretty, pretty incredible.
- 3:51Speaker 2: It was cool. I don't know if you heard this
- 3:55Speaker 2: part of the story. So our guy shark, a good
- 3:58Speaker 2: friend of mutual friend of Eric's of mine was down
- 4:01Speaker 2: on the field. We're talking and we saw it. We were,
- 4:04Speaker 2: we were chatting. We were looking at the drone show.
- 4:07Speaker 2: He wasn't paying much attention. He was like, and it
- 4:09Speaker 2: was like, they had made like, I don't know, the
- 4:11Speaker 2: drum and feather out of the drones or something. And
- 4:13Speaker 2: he goes, it'd be cool if they did something for,
- 4:15Speaker 2: for Eric. It'd be cool. I was just like, just watch.
- 4:18Speaker 2: And then like the very next thing was, was you
- 4:21Speaker 2: with the number 32. And he was like, Oh, okay.
- 4:23Speaker 2: They are doing something.
- 4:24Speaker 3: It was great.
- 4:25Speaker 2: We had a big laugh about that. That was great.
- 4:28Speaker 3: It was, it was, it was awesome. Like, I don't
- 4:30Speaker 3: even know how that stuff, like how they even do that.
- 4:32Speaker 3: So way out of my league, but to see just
- 4:37Speaker 3: everything in capital, encapsulated, encapsulated, I don't even know that word,
- 4:42Speaker 3: but at halftime and just all the love was, was
- 4:47Speaker 3: really second to none.
- 4:49Speaker 2: It's really cool to see. And you and I talked
- 4:52Speaker 2: about this last week. for you, it's nice to be honored,
- 4:56Speaker 2: but you're a Ute till you die. So what you
- 4:58Speaker 2: really wanted was a good game from the football team
- 5:01Speaker 2: and you got that as well. So that's the more
- 5:03Speaker 2: important part of the recipe, I suppose.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Speaker 4, Oh, that's that. That was really the only
- 5:08Speaker 3: thing that mattered. And I was kinda, I didn't really
- 5:12Speaker 3: get to see much of the first half. I was
- 5:14Speaker 3: going sweet to sweet, saying aloes and whatnot. So I've
- 5:20Speaker 3: heard and saw some highlights of the first half and
- 5:23Speaker 3: how awesome it was. And, you know, then I was
- 5:26Speaker 3: able to sit down and take all the second half
- 5:29Speaker 3: in and see that. So I loved how really, like,
- 5:36Speaker 3: we talked about this last week and just the understanding
- 5:40Speaker 3: that people on the outside don't know what they're getting
- 5:43Speaker 3: themselves into when they come to a night game in
- 5:46Speaker 3: Salt Lake at Rice Eccles. It's a very unique experience.
- 5:49Speaker 3: close venture that you come here and you don't leave
- 5:54Speaker 3: with a win and you usually get blasted. So it
- 5:57Speaker 3: was nice to see that and to really take it
- 5:59Speaker 3: to an SEC team, regardless of where they're at. It
- 6:04Speaker 3: will bode well with us over the course of the season,
- 6:06Speaker 3: just to show how we stack up against a talented team,
- 6:09Speaker 3: even though they're not very good. We treat them like such.
- 6:16Speaker 2: We've been complimenting Nate Ritchie this week for, I think that,
- 6:20Speaker 2: you know, through a couple of games, his play has been,
- 6:23Speaker 2: he looks like he's playing a little freer, looks like
- 6:25Speaker 2: he's playing a little faster. Sounds like you only really
- 6:27Speaker 2: got to watch half of this game, but what have
- 6:30Speaker 2: you noticed about him and his improvements from last year
- 6:32Speaker 2: to this?
- 6:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I think Coach Odom has something to do with that.
- 6:41Speaker 3: You know, Coach Odom is a very... detailed really pushes
- 6:46Speaker 3: the limits on what you are as a player and
- 6:49Speaker 3: like opening the box. I think with him and, and
- 6:52Speaker 3: Nate is like allowing him, he's, he knows the system
- 6:56Speaker 3: inside out. Right. He's very confident, like allowing him to
- 6:59Speaker 3: move around, allowing him to use his personality out there.
- 7:03Speaker 3: And really like, like you said, like play free is so,
- 7:08Speaker 3: so huge for a football player when you, can get
- 7:11Speaker 3: to that point. And I think you're seeing that and
- 7:13Speaker 3: he's making plays. He's finally healthy, right? Like for the
- 7:17Speaker 3: most part of the course of his career, he's always
- 7:19Speaker 3: battled some type of injuries and he's a stud and
- 7:23Speaker 3: he's a leader and he's a guy that guys look to.
- 7:26Speaker 3: And now for him to be on the field, making
- 7:27Speaker 3: plays is really, really awesome for him and not a better,
- 7:31Speaker 3: a better guy. Cause I've gotten to know him over
- 7:34Speaker 3: the last couple of years and always willing to listen
- 7:37Speaker 3: and work and, and, Looking for tidbits here and there
- 7:40Speaker 3: and to see him taking it is really great to see.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Eric Wedler is our guest here on the Sean O'Connell Show.
- 7:47Speaker 2: He is joining us live from Italy. That's how reliable
- 7:50Speaker 2: my guy is. He's out supporting his daughter in an
- 7:54Speaker 2: international acrobatics competition, and he's still kind enough to give
- 7:57Speaker 2: us some time today. talk a little Utah football. This,
- 8:00Speaker 2: that's the kind of friend we all need in life.
- 8:03Speaker 2: So this, this Utah offense, the multiplicity, the crazy different looks,
- 8:08Speaker 2: the two quarterback thing, the 50 cent, the half dollar formation,
- 8:12Speaker 2: we're calling it cause it's two quarters as a defensive expert,
- 8:17Speaker 2: as a guy who played at the very, very highest
- 8:19Speaker 2: level and tore apart and dissected offenses pre-snap. Give me
- 8:24Speaker 2: some sense of what kind of fits this causes for
- 8:28Speaker 2: a safety, for a middle linebacker, for someone who's trying
- 8:31Speaker 2: to get his guys in the right place before the
- 8:34Speaker 2: snap happens defensively.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I was in awe when I saw,
- 8:44Speaker 3: who was it? Was it Bird handed to Dev on
- 8:48Speaker 3: like an inside zone? And they ran speed option.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Off of it.
- 8:53Speaker 3: I've never, I've never seen that before. And I'm like,
- 8:56Speaker 3: this is, I'm adding it to our playbook for one, two,
- 8:59Speaker 3: I just need to find out who can pitch it
- 9:00Speaker 3: back to gauge. But that's the priority one. But two,
- 9:06Speaker 3: I'm like just the creativity and the innovative mind. I mean,
- 9:11Speaker 3: Morgan told us and talked about this when he hired
- 9:15Speaker 3: coach McGiven and just said how he's able to adapt and, work,
- 9:21Speaker 3: you know, change things up and formations and really pressure
- 9:25Speaker 3: the defense. I mean, that's one of the things, main
- 9:27Speaker 3: things that he took from the interview process and what he,
- 9:31Speaker 3: what he really liked and enjoyed about competing against him.
- 9:34Speaker 3: So to see it and just see how you're, you're
- 9:37Speaker 3: always keeping the defense on their toes and not knowing
- 9:39Speaker 3: where the ball is going and what, what, what are
- 9:41Speaker 3: they really trying to do? And the counters off of
- 9:44Speaker 3: it is, it's just like, it's fun to watch, man.
- 9:47Speaker 3: It's like, you know, every play you're like, what's going
- 9:50Speaker 3: to be next. And I know for our coach, like, geez,
- 9:53Speaker 3: how do I keep up this, this standard of, so
- 9:56Speaker 3: the fans still want me around, but it's, it's, it's
- 10:00Speaker 3: been fun to see. And at the end of the day, like,
- 10:02Speaker 3: I think for, for the offensive line, obviously it was
- 10:05Speaker 3: a question mark, but the reason you're able to do
- 10:07Speaker 3: all this stuff is you're winning line of scrimmage and
- 10:09Speaker 3: you're establishing the run and the physicality. I know our,
- 10:13Speaker 3: our yards per carrier, just win rate run is a
- 10:16Speaker 3: little down from last year, but that was like, you know,
- 10:19Speaker 3: one every decade you're going to have a running game
- 10:23Speaker 3: like that. But I just think the bigs are getting
- 10:25Speaker 3: more comfortable, more confident, more nasty, and it allows you
- 10:30Speaker 3: to do fun things on offense.
- 10:34Speaker 2: I got obsessed with this week the difference between being
- 10:38Speaker 2: there to make a play and actually making the play
- 10:41Speaker 2: because now through two weeks, and I know it's a
- 10:43Speaker 2: small sample size, we're seeing some of that from the
- 10:46Speaker 2: defensive end's where they beat their man and then maybe
- 10:50Speaker 2: don't actually get the sack or make the tackle. And
- 10:52Speaker 2: a pressure, a hurry is wonderful, but obviously the big
- 10:55Speaker 2: play comes when you get that guy to the ground.
- 10:57Speaker 2: We saw against Arkansas, Jackson Benny had an interception. He
- 11:03Speaker 2: also had one go right through his hands. You should
- 11:06Speaker 2: have had at least four interceptions in that game. And
- 11:09Speaker 2: so I'll focus with you on the interception thing because
- 11:12Speaker 2: I don't think, and you can correct me if I'm wrong,
- 11:14Speaker 2: I don't think that for defensive backs... it's just as
- 11:17Speaker 2: simple as getting on a jugs machine because a lot
- 11:19Speaker 2: of times you're not catching that ball in a perfect
- 11:22Speaker 2: passing scenario. A lot of times it's off a tip
- 11:25Speaker 2: or it's kind of a crazy thing or you're turning
- 11:28Speaker 2: around and the ball's right in your lap, whatever. But
- 11:31Speaker 2: how do you go from being there to make the
- 11:33Speaker 2: play and then actually making the play? How do you
- 11:36Speaker 2: practice that? How do you improve that part of your
- 11:38Speaker 2: game if you're right there, but now you just got
- 11:41Speaker 2: to catch the damn thing?
- 11:43Speaker 3: I see it. Uh, honestly, I think, I think more
- 11:47Speaker 3: so than anything you're, how do I put this without
- 11:52Speaker 3: making everyone mad? You like a lot of it is
- 11:55Speaker 3: you can either catch or you can't like, I mean,
- 11:58Speaker 3: some of that is, is you have natural ball skills
- 12:01Speaker 3: and you're able to track the ball and really hand
- 12:03Speaker 3: eye coordination. But some of it is technique and fundamentals
- 12:07Speaker 3: of your leverage and angles of the break. And, and
- 12:11Speaker 3: are you wasting steps, uh, on your breaks and the
- 12:15Speaker 3: angles getting to the football where that ball is going
- 12:18Speaker 3: to be. Like, I don't, it may not make sense
- 12:20Speaker 3: to a lot of people, but like if I'm breaking
- 12:22Speaker 3: at 45 and I'm taking a half step longer to
- 12:25Speaker 3: get out of that break, that means I'm a 10
- 12:27Speaker 3: further away from where I need to be of making
- 12:30Speaker 3: that play. So I think it's not so much of,
- 12:33Speaker 3: can I catch the ball or not? It's more so
- 12:36Speaker 3: like cleaning up the footwork and cleaning up your eyes
- 12:38Speaker 3: and angles. So therefore you're, you're getting to the spot
- 12:42Speaker 3: quicker and now you're making like a, a routine instinctual
- 12:46Speaker 3: catch than trying to make some crazy acrobatic interception.
- 12:50Speaker 2: I guess that makes sense. You're talking, you're talking, you're
- 12:57Speaker 2: talking to a guy that never made the play. So
- 12:59Speaker 2: I really am just like, how do you do it?
- 13:02Speaker 2: How do you, how do you make a play? Wow.
- 13:06Speaker 2: I don't like how hard you.
- 13:08Speaker 3: Did knock a lot of people out. So that's something
- 13:09Speaker 3: that I cannot say. Yeah.
- 13:11Speaker 2: You just got, you just kind of, you got to
- 13:13Speaker 2: find your lane eventually in life. Some of us, it
- 13:16Speaker 2: takes a little bit longer, Doug.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Hey, we found it though, babe. We found it.
- 13:22Speaker 2: How was the, how was the Arkansas Utah experience for gauge?
- 13:25Speaker 2: I mean, I, I guess I could ask him, but like,
- 13:28Speaker 2: that's a, that's a pretty unique sort of half recruiting
- 13:32Speaker 2: trip because you're there on a big recruiting weekend. Everyone's
- 13:35Speaker 2: down on the sideline, a bunch of other, like guys
- 13:37Speaker 2: targets that this team's trying to get to sign, but
- 13:40Speaker 2: none of their dads are being enshrined in immortality on
- 13:43Speaker 2: the side of the building though. So how was it
- 13:46Speaker 2: for gauge?
- 13:48Speaker 3: I think it was good. I think he went in
- 13:50Speaker 3: with a mindset of like, it's not about me. It's
- 13:53Speaker 3: about my dad. And I think he really enjoyed the
- 13:59Speaker 3: moment and, and just like being a part of this
- 14:03Speaker 3: and seeing the fans and, I mean, the fans show
- 14:05Speaker 3: him so much love, and everyone, like, it's very unique
- 14:10Speaker 3: for him in going through this, because he is beloved
- 14:15Speaker 3: by everyone, and he knows everybody. So I think he just, like,
- 14:19Speaker 3: really loved it. He loved getting back with his older sister,
- 14:23Speaker 3: who's at BYU, and she was at the game. So
- 14:25Speaker 3: they were just hanging out, cheering, and having fun during
- 14:30Speaker 3: the game, and then obviously on the field, and.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Really.
- 14:37Speaker 3: Just taking it in as a family. Very rarely do
- 14:40Speaker 3: we get all six of us together, and we were
- 14:42Speaker 3: even missing one. Silver was in Italy already. So we
- 14:45Speaker 3: just try to take advantage of those times that we're
- 14:47Speaker 3: together as a family. He just went there more so
- 14:52Speaker 3: to support me and taking that moment, and I think
- 14:57Speaker 3: he really enjoyed it.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Eric Weddle for another minute or two here on the
- 15:01Speaker 2: Sean O'Connell show. Obviously it was a busy weekend for you.
- 15:05Speaker 2: I imagine you flew back on Sunday. So I don't
- 15:07Speaker 2: know if you got to watch any of the NFL weekend.
- 15:10Speaker 2: How much did you get to see?
- 15:14Speaker 3: Let's see. I saw the night game. I watched the
- 15:16Speaker 3: Dallas game. Everything up until that point was highlights. So
- 15:22Speaker 3: I know pretty much what went on and the upsets
- 15:24Speaker 3: and everything. I've done my research, so you can fire away.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Well, the game that you watched, I mean, are the
- 15:30Speaker 2: Giants legit? A lot of people, I mean, this is
- 15:33Speaker 2: New York, number one media market. Everyone is so desperate
- 15:37Speaker 2: to see that franchise be relevant again. How significant was
- 15:40Speaker 2: that win over the Cowboys?
- 15:43Speaker 3: Well, I don't necessarily know if they're legit or not.
- 15:46Speaker 3: I'm more, I'm more, what's the word? You could just tell,
- 15:54Speaker 3: like you either got it or you don't as a
- 15:56Speaker 3: head coach. And I just don't think Schottenheimer is the
- 15:58Speaker 3: guy to leave that team. Like to look at all
- 16:01Speaker 3: the penalties, look at the, the unfortunate play on the
- 16:05Speaker 3: offense defense. It comes back to culture and vision. And
- 16:08Speaker 3: you look at Harbs and they're just like tough. They're physical.
- 16:11Speaker 3: They run the football, play great defense. Like that's just
- 16:14Speaker 3: who they are. And that's instilled. So I don't know,
- 16:17Speaker 3: like you, you spend all this money on fixing the defense.
- 16:19Speaker 3: There was a worst defense in league last year. and
- 16:21Speaker 3: couldn't stop a run. And then they, they give up
- 16:23Speaker 3: almost 200 yards rushing. Like you're never going to be
- 16:25Speaker 3: taken serious. If you can't run the football and you
- 16:28Speaker 3: can't stop the run. I mean, it's at any level.
- 16:30Speaker 3: So I was, I was more like shocked that Dallas
- 16:35Speaker 3: thought of rookie DC with those players and scheme, like
- 16:40Speaker 3: was going to be good. And it obviously wasn't. So
- 16:43Speaker 3: they got a, they got a lot to figure out.
- 16:45Speaker 3: I think that the giants at this point are probably
- 16:48Speaker 3: a 500 team, maybe nine wins. in that division and whatnot.
- 16:53Speaker 3: But that was, that was more of what stood out
- 16:56Speaker 3: to me. And obviously, I don't know what we talked about.
- 16:58Speaker 3: I got, I got to give a shout out to
- 17:00Speaker 3: the Niners from whooping the Rams, but really a healthy,
- 17:06Speaker 3: a healthy Niners team with all those dudes are a real,
- 17:11Speaker 3: real problem for everybody. So it's gotta be exciting for
- 17:15Speaker 3: the Niners fans. I think the Rams will be fine,
- 17:18Speaker 3: but I was more impressed with that. how the Rams
- 17:22Speaker 3: defense and most importantly, the D coordinator didn't really adjust
- 17:28Speaker 3: to the, the quick game, the flats, the spring game.
- 17:30Speaker 3: And the first series you knew, like how you take,
- 17:33Speaker 3: how you play well against the Niners, make pretty throw
- 17:36Speaker 3: outside the numbers and, and get after them, not just
- 17:40Speaker 3: sit back and two shell and let them, think and
- 17:42Speaker 3: dunk all this way down the field.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Any other thoughts on Niners-Rams? It just feels good for
- 17:48Speaker 2: me to hear you give the Niners credit over the Rams.
- 17:51Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 17:54Speaker 3: Hey, Warner, Greenlaw, and Bosa, I could watch that defense
- 17:58Speaker 3: play all day long.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Yikes.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:02Speaker 2: I'm knocking on wood because obviously they all need to
- 18:04Speaker 2: stay healthy because all of them are paid so well
- 18:06Speaker 2: that there's zero depth behind any of these starters. But
- 18:10Speaker 2: for now, I'll just take the depth.
- 18:13Speaker 3: Yes.
- 18:16Speaker 2: We might have got disconnected, but that's all right. We
- 18:19Speaker 2: got 25 good minutes from our guy, Eric Weddle in Italy.
- 18:25Speaker 2: He's supporting his daughter in her acrobatics competition. He was
- 18:28Speaker 2: obviously in the building last weekend for Arkansas versus Utah.
- 18:33Speaker 2: And the only thing I had left to ask him. Okay.
- 18:37Speaker 2: You're backed up.
- 18:39Speaker 3: I'm back. Okay.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Uh, your thoughts on Detroit versus Buffalo.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I think, uh, I think it's going to be
- 18:49Speaker 3: a high scoring affair. I didn't, man, I didn't think
- 18:52Speaker 3: Buffalo was going to put 36 on Houston. Holy smokes.
- 18:55Speaker 2: He was supposed to be something this year. We'll, I
- 18:57Speaker 2: guess we'll find out.
- 19:00Speaker 3: I guess we will. Uh, I think, you know, the
- 19:02Speaker 3: first week, the first week you never take too much
- 19:05Speaker 3: stock into it, whether it's good or bad. So, uh,
- 19:08Speaker 3: you kind of just take what it is and see
- 19:11Speaker 3: over the course of four to six games, then you
- 19:14Speaker 3: kind of identify who's real and who's not. But I
- 19:16Speaker 3: think it's going to be an exciting game. Weapons all
- 19:19Speaker 3: over the place, great offenses. Where is it at? It's
- 19:23Speaker 3: in Buffalo, correct?
- 19:24Speaker 2: Yes, the brand-new stadium, first game there.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm taking Buffalo all day.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Last thing before I let you go. It's a very
- 19:34Speaker 2: small sample size. It's the question of the day on
- 19:36Speaker 2: the show. Based on what we have seen so far,
- 19:39Speaker 2: is this year's Utah team better than last year's team?
- 19:42Speaker 2: Maybe not quite as good, or are they same same?
- 19:48Speaker 3: Ooh, I think their ceiling is higher at this point.
- 19:55Speaker 3: The potential to be better to go 11 ones last year.
- 19:59Speaker 3: They went 11, two, 11, three. What'd they go?
- 20:03Speaker 2: Okay. 11 and two after the, after the ball game,
- 20:06Speaker 2: 11 and two.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. So, I mean, I've already been on record
- 20:13Speaker 3: saying that this is going to be a special year,
- 20:15Speaker 3: so I'm going to say we'll be better.
- 20:20Speaker 2: We'll take it. We'll take it. That's the official response
- 20:24Speaker 2: from Eric Weddle on the Twitter poll. You can go
- 20:26Speaker 2: vote at RealOC Sports. Say hi to the family for us.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Enjoy Italy. Have some more pizza. We'll chat next week,
- 20:34Speaker 2: all right?
- 20:36Speaker 3: You know it, bro. Love you guys.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Love you, dude. Safe travels. Eric Weddle in Italy. Utah
- 20:43Speaker 2: football legend and I think future NFL Hall of Famer.
- 20:46Speaker 2: He's got the Super Bowl championship and a great resume
- 20:48Speaker 2: to go with it.
