- 1:14Speaker 1: I was hungry and tried like I remember when we
- 1:18Speaker 1: used to have like hot dogs, like picnics and you

- 1:24Speaker 1: still like a little bread left or like ketchup on it.
- 1:26Speaker 2: That party be good.
- 1:27Speaker 1: So one day I was thinking, I'm like, let's try
- 1:29Speaker 1: ketchup sew I did, and you came up with it.

- 2:09Speaker 1: know what. I hope they don't. I don't think we
- 2:11Speaker 1: pulled the go ahead open it. It still got the
- 2:14Speaker 1: seal on it can't no one has touched the Yeah, yeah,
- 2:20Speaker 1: hold on, I got nails.
- 2:21Speaker 2: I don't know if it's gonna do it right.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I got nails, but your nails look mine a little
- 2:25Speaker 1: bit more. Yes, watch both of us struggles.
- 2:30Speaker 2: I mean we kind of got a knife.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna bite it. I'm gonna be that person.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Guys. I always thinking about buying it, but then my
- 2:36Speaker 2: lip gloss and line it.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Is just gonna be Okay, I got it. I gotta go.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Okay, look, take you out.
- 2:40Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying.
- 2:41Speaker 2: You get it, teamwork. Okay, okay, let's see it. Make
- 2:45Speaker 2: sure you shake it up because you know that little
- 2:47Speaker 2: stuff that come off, the little liquid would make you
- 2:49Speaker 2: not even want the sandwich, and so is watering.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Now are you doing a lot? Okay, that's how much
- 2:55Speaker 1: we're supposed to bil Okay, here we go. I got
- 2:59Speaker 1: so much more, uh admiration for you. So I have
- 3:04Speaker 1: a little saying I say on this show, is the
- 3:06Speaker 1: broker the dish, the better the story. Yeah, so I
- 3:13Speaker 1: don't see you eating this whole sandwich on this show.
- 3:15Speaker 1: So I'm gonna cheers to our bite. Is it gonna
- 3:17Speaker 1: We're gonna eat it like butter toast so much sometimes
- 3:22Speaker 1: I like smash it together and then sometimes I just
- 3:26Speaker 1: I just like eat it like this, So we don't
- 3:28Speaker 1: wait would make you feel better. I'm gonna do it.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I'm gonna che Here we go.
- 3:33Speaker 2: I haven't ate this in years, okay, or here we go.
- 3:36Speaker 2: I gotta smelling now.
- 3:37Speaker 5: Okay, that is another bad and now I ain't gonna
- 3:44Speaker 5: lie since I ate this New Years, I thought we
- 3:46Speaker 5: were gonna be like.
- 3:48Speaker 1: It's actually not bad. I don't know if it's because
- 3:52Speaker 1: the bread is like Artisian bread, so it's kind of good.
- 3:55Speaker 1: But this really works. It's nothing bad and I'm gonna
- 3:59Speaker 1: hate on you eat like one or twoities and technopotyth
- 4:03Speaker 1: You were fine. You're hilarious. So what was your home
- 4:07Speaker 1: life looking like?
- 4:10Speaker 2: So we were like, hmmm, let me shoot his bread up.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I have so much, so much respect for you.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Just off the sandwich, okay, because I've been broke, but
- 4:22Speaker 1: I don't know if I've ever been kind of men
- 4:27Speaker 1: hm hm.
- 4:28Speaker 2: You were like a lower class family. I don't know, Like.
- 4:34Speaker 1: We had the things we needed, but never what we wanted. Well,
- 4:39Speaker 1: sometimes we wanted, but not a lot. You know. My
- 4:43Speaker 1: grandmother basically took the road of my dad, and I
- 4:47Speaker 1: had my mom as well, so they were like co parenting.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I was back and forth to the houses. Did you
- 4:53Speaker 1: grow up with your dad at all? Or okay, you
- 4:56Speaker 1: meet him or no, you never met him? I mean
- 4:59Speaker 1: I have met him, but we don't we don't like
- 5:00Speaker 1: talk with anything. So I lived with my mama for
- 5:05Speaker 1: like the school year and like coming home from like school,
- 5:09Speaker 1: if we ain't have food, which.
- 5:13Speaker 2: It used to be food that we have to cook
- 5:15Speaker 2: and we kids don't.
- 5:16Speaker 1: We don't know how to cook, so we would resort to,
- 5:19Speaker 1: you know, things like this.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Or I would go to my neighbor house.
- 5:23Speaker 1: We used to call her Big Mama because she didn't
- 5:26Speaker 1: like being called granny, but she she was she was
- 5:30Speaker 1: she was like an older lady and I used to
- 5:34Speaker 1: hang with her grandkids. So I used to go to
- 5:37Speaker 1: her house like I'm hungry, can I can I have something?
- 5:40Speaker 1: And she would like give me soups, some soups, or
- 5:42Speaker 1: she would make me like sandwiches. But I didn't want
- 5:44Speaker 1: to like always ask her for stuff because I didn't.
- 5:46Speaker 1: I didn't want her to ask, Mama, like you need
- 5:48Speaker 1: even to help you, you know. So it was that
- 5:53Speaker 1: the middle school that I went to like every day
- 5:56Speaker 1: in recess, so I had so I had like this
- 5:58Speaker 1: rap group or whatever. We would do like battles in
- 6:00Speaker 1: them and we were win because I you know. And
- 6:04Speaker 1: then one day I came home and I told my
- 6:07Speaker 1: mom and them, I'm like I want to be a rapper,
- 6:09Speaker 1: and it was like you can't rap. I'm like, yeah
- 6:11Speaker 1: I can, So I can pulled out this paper this
- 6:13Speaker 1: filled with just like like raps on that and I
- 6:16Speaker 1: was like reading it to them and then some my
- 6:18Speaker 1: uh so, my stepdad he was like, you have a
- 6:25Speaker 1: lot of verses, but you have to make a hook.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Because because he didn't have a hook, I guess I
- 6:29Speaker 1: didn't even know what the hook was. I was just
- 6:31Speaker 1: writing around like I was in grade school.
- 6:33Speaker 2: How old are you in grade school?
- 6:36Speaker 1: It was like from like grade school from what I
- 6:39Speaker 1: can remember, it was like like second to like fifth. Okay,
- 6:43Speaker 1: so you started young at rapper?
- 6:45Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, I was young.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Who was who was you looking up to at that point?
- 6:50Speaker 1: I'm going to put you on to rap?
- 6:52Speaker 2: Like you know what? Like, I didn't like nobody in
- 6:54Speaker 2: my family really listened to music that much.
- 6:56Speaker 1: It was just like the radio or like so my
- 6:59Speaker 1: dad he would like have like these music videos, but
- 7:02Speaker 1: I wouldn't really like pay attention to them. It'll it'll
- 7:05Speaker 1: just be something to like watch while we're in a
- 7:07Speaker 1: car or something and just be it. You know, it'll
- 7:09Speaker 1: like blow over. But as far as doing music, like,
- 7:12Speaker 1: I don't, I don't know. I just could do it.
- 7:15Speaker 1: So it was just something I did.
- 7:16Speaker 2: You know, But were there particular rappers that inspired you? Hmmm?
- 7:23Speaker 1: I just used to like songs, so like, no, not really.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I just used to listen to the radio. Then I
- 7:28Speaker 1: then I would hear the beat. Then I would come
- 7:31Speaker 1: up with a different cadence to it. And that's how
- 7:33Speaker 1: it happened. Okay, So literally after that, I kind of
- 7:41Speaker 1: didn't have like I didn't have the family that would
- 7:45Speaker 1: be like, Okay, since you want to be a rapper,
- 7:48Speaker 1: we're gonna try to end in vesting you like this
- 7:53Speaker 1: or teach you that. Like I didn't have nobody to
- 7:55Speaker 1: teach that. Everything that I know now you know, I
- 7:57Speaker 1: have to go through it. And I really stopped rapping.
- 8:03Speaker 2: I started doing hair.
- 8:06Speaker 1: I wouldn't take me back to the hook. So he
- 8:08Speaker 1: mentions that you need to know what a hook is. Yeah,
- 8:11Speaker 1: and he just told me, like a hook is something
- 8:14Speaker 1: that would catch everybody's attention for the song. And I'm like, okay,
- 8:19Speaker 1: kind of brush it off and was just steady doing
- 8:21Speaker 1: you know what we were doing in like recess and
- 8:23Speaker 1: all that.
- 8:24Speaker 2: And then.
- 8:28Speaker 1: It really did not go further after that because I
- 8:32Speaker 1: went to middle school, I started growing up.
- 8:34Speaker 2: I started having friends.
- 8:35Speaker 1: I started going to their houses because you know, they
- 8:37Speaker 1: had a lot of stuff. They had freedom too, Like
- 8:39Speaker 1: I didn't really have freedom growing up. My mom really
- 8:41Speaker 1: was like kind of street, you know. So as I
- 8:46Speaker 1: was making friends, I had thought that I was gonna
- 8:47Speaker 1: do hair because I used to do my hair because
- 8:50Speaker 1: I used to always want to look pretty.
- 8:52Speaker 2: But we couldn't afford nobody to do it.
- 8:53Speaker 1: So I started doing mine, and then my friends like, oh,
- 8:56Speaker 1: keep do mine, and I started doing thirst, and then
- 8:58Speaker 1: I just started doing hair for free, and my mom
- 9:01Speaker 1: was like, you're not gonna keep on doing her for free.
- 9:04Speaker 1: You gotta charge them something. So like, for like really
- 9:07Speaker 1: long skinny box braids, I used charged like thirty.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Five dollars and she was still, man, I'm like.
- 9:11Speaker 1: I'm charging But where were you learning how to do
- 9:14Speaker 1: the hair from YouTube? Oh? You were youtubecause YouTube learning. Okay,
- 9:19Speaker 1: so like this was middle school now, So I'm doing
- 9:24Speaker 1: box braids for thirty five dollars.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Mm oh yeah.
- 9:27Speaker 1: If I was doing my mom, i'd be like what yeah,
- 9:29Speaker 1: But I didn't understand why she was so mad back then.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I'm like, you said, charge him, I'm charging him. She's
- 9:33Speaker 1: like I'm like what I want charged?
- 9:36Speaker 2: Like, and like, you know, it was just something to do.
- 9:39Speaker 2: It was just fun. So I was doing that.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Then I had started doing like quick weaves and stuff,
- 9:44Speaker 1: but of course I didn't know what I was doing,
- 9:45Speaker 1: so I was like yanking my hair out, but I was.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Still putting week back in my hair because I'm like,
- 9:50Speaker 2: get I'll learn someway, you know.
- 9:52Speaker 1: And then I started getting in trouble, like I got
- 9:55Speaker 1: put out, like my eight grade year, like and your mom, no,
- 9:59Speaker 1: put out of school? Oh god, so I can put
- 10:01Speaker 1: out school? And for what the fighting? You fighting? What
- 10:10Speaker 1: back in the day you was fighting? Girls?
- 10:12Speaker 2: Yeah? Girls, teachers.
- 10:16Speaker 1: The teacher fighters got me put out. Yeah, the teacher
- 10:19Speaker 1: fighters got me put out.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Actually make you.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Hit the teacher? Did you hit a teacher?
- 10:23Speaker 2: They hit me first.
- 10:24Speaker 1: That's hilarious. What do you mean they hit you from?
- 10:27Speaker 1: Because okay, okay, so we were I was I was
- 10:31Speaker 1: leaving art class and some girls were like argument.
- 10:35Speaker 2: But I didn't even like them girls. I was just
- 10:36Speaker 2: gonna watch them fight.
- 10:37Speaker 1: All of a sudden, So my cousin trying to be
- 10:39Speaker 1: like a superman and get in the middle because I
- 10:43Speaker 1: guess she liked one of the girls and did not
- 10:45Speaker 1: like the other ones.
- 10:46Speaker 2: So it was like trying to like be petty, and
- 10:48Speaker 2: I'm like, no, you need to move out the way
- 10:49Speaker 2: and let them fight.
- 10:50Speaker 1: And then as I'm moving her out the way, the
- 10:53Speaker 1: girl that I don't like, I don't I didn't like
- 10:54Speaker 1: nan one of them. So the so one of them
- 10:57Speaker 1: tried to hit the other girl want to paint in
- 10:58Speaker 1: my cousin. So now it's like, okay, now now I
- 11:00Speaker 1: gotta beat you up, you see, my cousin. So as
- 11:07Speaker 1: as real fighting, you know, people like teachers is like
- 11:10Speaker 1: grabbing us and stuff. But like I always used to
- 11:12Speaker 1: be like a little wiggily worm, like I can, I
- 11:14Speaker 1: can get out of anything.
- 11:15Speaker 2: You're not gonna hold me too long.
- 11:16Speaker 1: So I didn't drop down and went back to the
- 11:19Speaker 1: girl and started beating her up. And then this art
- 11:21Speaker 1: teacher she was not kind of you know, a little big.
- 11:25Speaker 2: She just gonna push me to the wall. Like she
- 11:27Speaker 2: wasn't even trying to break up the fight. She just
- 11:29Speaker 2: pushed me to the wall. When I looked, it was like,
- 11:33Speaker 2: you know the teacher.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Yeah, because you say do like multiple yes, yes, hilarious.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I thought she was jumping in the hair or something.
- 11:41Speaker 2: It was like, you know, so.
- 11:44Speaker 1: As I'm booping her, you know, my cousin comes and
- 11:48Speaker 1: start booping her too sore and yeah, so boom it
- 11:57Speaker 1: was that kicked out. Actually only me and my cousin
- 12:01Speaker 1: got kicked out, not the two girls that was gonna
- 12:03Speaker 1: fight and they jumping the teacher.
- 12:04Speaker 2: It sounds like we were.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Okay, okay, so yeah, so boom that that was the
- 12:11Speaker 1: start of me just getting put out of school because
- 12:15Speaker 1: at that point it was it was like I was
- 12:17Speaker 1: like a minute, like I was just like, you know what,
- 12:18Speaker 1: I don't care, you know, I didn't I didn't care,
- 12:21Speaker 1: So then like I didn't really have like guidance, what
- 12:26Speaker 1: did your mom say when you get kicked out? For him?
- 12:28Speaker 1: And teaching well being as though that it was my
- 12:33Speaker 1: cousin fight that I jumped into. It was like they
- 12:35Speaker 1: always tell us like, if you watch somebody beat up
- 12:38Speaker 1: your cousin, your sibling, then when you get home, we're
- 12:41Speaker 1: gonna whoop you.
- 12:43Speaker 2: So I was like, y'all told me to jump at
- 12:45Speaker 2: our fights. What are you talking about?
- 12:46Speaker 1: You know?
- 12:47Speaker 2: So I kind of kind of slid with that, And
- 12:49Speaker 2: when I told.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Them that the teacher pushed me, they wouldn't even bring
- 12:52Speaker 1: up that video, like they were like, oh, so our
- 12:54Speaker 1: cameras broke your lying show hard that you pushed me,
- 12:57Speaker 1: and that's why it happened like that, but for broke
- 13:00Speaker 1: quote unquote, you know, and then that kind of didn't
- 13:03Speaker 1: Then then then in there either we had thought we
- 13:07Speaker 1: were actually walking back to the classroom because things got rowdy,
- 13:09Speaker 1: so you know, we kind of squazed out of the
- 13:12Speaker 1: group and tried to walk back to our classroom and
- 13:13Speaker 1: actually got brought out our classroom like no, you hit me,
- 13:16Speaker 1: and I'm like I did. And in the office we
- 13:20Speaker 1: were like plotting to get the girl again and did
- 13:22Speaker 1: not know that they were in her listening to it.
- 13:24Speaker 1: So it was it was odd that written up in
- 13:26Speaker 1: the stavement and I was just like, you guys won, okay.
- 13:29Speaker 1: And after that, I was just like I don't care,
- 13:34Speaker 1: you know. I once I turned to school and I
- 13:36Speaker 1: was started for like three hours, and I was the
- 13:37Speaker 1: youngest youngest one there, and I'm just like, it's cool,
- 13:41Speaker 1: Like I ain't I gotta go to school four day.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I gotta see these folks, I gotta talk to them
- 13:45Speaker 1: because we did everything on our computers.
- 13:48Speaker 2: And I'm like, okay.
- 13:50Speaker 1: So my first year, they led me back into regular
- 13:54Speaker 1: school and this is when I started back doing covers
- 13:58Speaker 1: again because I was seeing girls on Facebook go go
- 14:02Speaker 1: viral for just sitting in the cars wrapping, and I'm like, well,
- 14:04Speaker 1: I don't have a car, so I can just pop
- 14:06Speaker 1: my Oh. So I didn't have have a phone that
- 14:09Speaker 1: was on. I think either I found the phone somewhere
- 14:12Speaker 1: or I actually like saved the way you like body
- 14:15Speaker 1: from like doing hair. So I used to prop my
- 14:17Speaker 1: phone up and like play a beat off of my
- 14:20Speaker 1: TV because I had like a little game. And then
- 14:22Speaker 1: I go to YouTube and I play the beat and
- 14:24Speaker 1: I used to do covers. My first cove I did.
- 14:27Speaker 1: I did not have no beat to it. I did
- 14:31Speaker 1: it a capella and it was to the Day's Long
- 14:33Speaker 1: try Me. And I posted it at like seven something,
- 14:36Speaker 1: and I woke up the next morning totally forgot that
- 14:38Speaker 1: I posted a video. I'm in class posting a picture
- 14:41Speaker 1: knowing I ain't got no being to doing it posting
- 14:43Speaker 1: a picture and it got like a thousand and some
- 14:49Speaker 1: likes in like thirty minutes. I'm like, go on, and
- 14:55Speaker 1: I posted a second picture. I'm like, let me see
- 14:57Speaker 1: if it's gonna do it again, And when it did
- 15:00Speaker 1: it again, I'm like, so I'm going through the notifications
- 15:04Speaker 1: and I realized that the video that I posted the
- 15:06Speaker 1: night prior is viral. So they're like, oh my gosh,
- 15:09Speaker 1: you're so pretty. We didn't know you can rap, you
- 15:13Speaker 1: can sing too, And I'm like, oh my god. And
- 15:16Speaker 1: now looking back on that video, I looked at like crazy,
- 15:19Speaker 1: like I had some really fat box braids in my head,
- 15:22Speaker 1: I had some bright pink lipstick, some really big eyelashes.
- 15:25Speaker 2: I'm like, y'all like that great? Okay.
- 15:27Speaker 1: So after that, I just kept going viral, doing during
- 15:30Speaker 1: covers and all that. And so my cousin, my cousin
- 15:35Speaker 1: who I got into that fight with ed in middle school,
- 15:39Speaker 1: she actually passed away the beginning of our senior and
- 15:43Speaker 1: that sent me right off the right, off the rails
- 15:46Speaker 1: and the like. Before the school year was over. On
- 15:50Speaker 1: our junior year, we got into a fight like the
- 15:53Speaker 1: last week of school, thinking like, oh, guys, I gotta
- 15:55Speaker 1: put us out. They put me out and I have
- 15:59Speaker 1: to start my senior year and altern to school. And
- 16:03Speaker 1: she was supposed to go to regular school, but she
- 16:04Speaker 1: never was able to start school because she died. So, yeah,
- 16:10Speaker 1: what you don't mind asking, I never seen the autopsy,
- 16:16Speaker 1: so I couldn't tell you to be honest. It was
- 16:18Speaker 1: a lot of crazy things going on around his time,
- 16:21Speaker 1: so they like send me off the rails, and I didn't.
- 16:25Speaker 1: I didn't cry about life. I didn't cary about nothing.
- 16:28Speaker 1: That's when I was always outside of fighting. I was
- 16:31Speaker 1: really going to school, like I don't know how I
- 16:34Speaker 1: finished my senior to did your mom think to put
- 16:37Speaker 1: you in therapy or anything to deal with that? To
- 16:40Speaker 1: be honest, no, no, like I didn't. I didn't have
- 16:44Speaker 1: the type of family they would say, hey, we see
- 16:47Speaker 1: that you're going through something, let's go get your help.
- 16:49Speaker 1: You know, it would it would just be, oh, she's
- 16:53Speaker 1: just disrespectful.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Oh she's just she.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Just after your cousin passing. They didn't see like the
- 17:00Speaker 1: I think I became very fear like, like because I
- 17:02Speaker 1: didn't fear nothing, so I was willing to do anything.
- 17:05Speaker 1: And people who are very unpredictable you would stay away
- 17:10Speaker 1: from because you don't know what they're capable of. And
- 17:12Speaker 1: that's kind of what my family did. They stayed away
- 17:14Speaker 1: from me because it was like if you don't want
- 17:15Speaker 1: to deal with her, you know. And she died August fourteenth,
- 17:22Speaker 1: and that like for the whole year, I was going crazy,
- 17:26Speaker 1: like I was. I was drinking, I was smoking, I
- 17:27Speaker 1: was really going to school. I was always fighting, and
- 17:30Speaker 1: you were in high school at this point. Yeah, And
- 17:32Speaker 1: then I graduated how I don't know, I don't know,
- 17:37Speaker 1: but I did it, you know. And it still didn't
- 17:42Speaker 1: stop there, you know. I was still Yeah, I was
- 17:44Speaker 1: still going crazy. And are you still doing your upkeep
- 17:48Speaker 1: with the online stuff? Yes this point. So, so at
- 17:52Speaker 1: this point, people are following me because I'm I'm a
- 17:55Speaker 1: drama magnet.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Like it's like always something going on. So they're like, oh,
- 17:59Speaker 2: she she's going to fight, Let me follow her. Oh
- 18:01Speaker 2: she's allregu let me, you know.
- 18:02Speaker 1: So it's so they're tuning in because of the darkness
- 18:07Speaker 1: that was around, you know. And August fourteenth, a year later,
- 18:17Speaker 1: I was I'm always to a fight, and I got
- 18:20Speaker 1: shy and I'm on your way to a fight. Nah
- 18:24Speaker 1: at the fight. I got shy at the fight. It
- 18:26Speaker 1: was supposed long story, it was supposed to be a fight.
- 18:29Speaker 1: It was, but it was not a fight.
- 18:31Speaker 2: I got shy, and.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I'm so at this time, so I so I have
- 18:37Speaker 1: my own car and I'm trying to like drive myself
- 18:39Speaker 1: to like the hospital.
- 18:40Speaker 2: But I couldn't because every time that.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I would try to drive, my my hand would come
- 18:45Speaker 1: off the wound and I will start bleeding.
- 18:47Speaker 2: So my cousin had to drive me.
- 18:49Speaker 1: And I'm like thinking to myself, I'm like, okay, it's
- 18:54Speaker 1: I'm funn to go be with my cousin at this point,
- 18:55Speaker 1: you know, I'm like whatever, I don't care, like it's
- 18:58Speaker 1: time for me to go. And then I'm just hearing
- 19:01Speaker 1: her voice, you know, she like, no, you're not, No,
- 19:03Speaker 1: you're not, and I don't know, you know, Like I
- 19:06Speaker 1: started calling on my family. I'm like, I got shot.
- 19:08Speaker 1: They're like, no, you didn't, because it's like I used
- 19:10Speaker 1: to have very dark he went back in it, like
- 19:12Speaker 1: I mean, I kind of still have dark hement with it.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Would they would be put because people don't like dark
- 19:15Speaker 1: human anymore. I'm like, I seriously got shot and we're
- 19:19Speaker 1: like show you. So I would show them and they
- 19:21Speaker 1: were like you like now, it's like, oh my god.
- 19:26Speaker 1: They they drove me to the hospital. I was I
- 19:29Speaker 1: was put on blackout. Did not know what it was
- 19:31Speaker 1: at all.
- 19:32Speaker 2: What is that?
- 19:33Speaker 3: So?
- 19:33Speaker 1: Blackout is when you get shot but you survive. They
- 19:37Speaker 1: don't know if whoever come back. They don't know if
- 19:40Speaker 1: whoever shot you is going to come back to to
- 19:42Speaker 1: try to kill you, so they won't say what hospital
- 19:46Speaker 1: you are at?
- 19:47Speaker 2: Can nobody come and see you?
- 19:49Speaker 3: Oh?
- 19:49Speaker 1: So like when your family went to look for you
- 19:51Speaker 1: to could they couldn't find you? Yeah, And basically they
- 19:54Speaker 1: only found me because they tracked my phone because they
- 19:57Speaker 1: had my location, and and the hospital still didn't even
- 20:01Speaker 1: want to let them in because they were like, we
- 20:03Speaker 1: don't know if you are family. At that point, I
- 20:05Speaker 1: was sedated because me and the doctor actually got intour
- 20:07Speaker 1: because she was being very rough trying to clean my wound.
- 20:11Speaker 1: I'm like, give me the God, and she was like,
- 20:13Speaker 1: you can't do that.
- 20:14Speaker 2: So I grabbed it from her.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Wait where was your wound? Exactly?
- 20:17Speaker 2: I had to take whoever now? Oh wow, So we're like.
- 20:21Speaker 1: So you was like it better than you can so
- 20:24Speaker 1: so so she's like trying to like she's right here,
- 20:28Speaker 1: and I'm like, give me the God.
- 20:30Speaker 2: So I grabbed it from her.
- 20:31Speaker 1: So now were tussling over this gud and I feel
- 20:33Speaker 1: a sharp pain in his arm because I was sedated.
- 20:35Speaker 2: They got mass you.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Know, it's like they got me and everything. After they
- 20:42Speaker 1: just went like I don't know like I was. I
- 20:44Speaker 1: was seeing doubles, like if I see one light, I
- 20:47Speaker 1: would see five of them. If you say hey, I
- 20:49Speaker 1: were hear hey hey hey, Like it was crazy.
- 20:52Speaker 2: I was like yeah.
- 20:54Speaker 1: So once I finally came to it was a detective
- 20:56Speaker 1: to my right and to my left it was like,
- 20:57Speaker 1: who shot you?
- 20:58Speaker 2: I'm like, I don't know.
- 20:59Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 21:11Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 21:12Speaker 1: You know, wrong place, wrong time, Let me out there,
- 21:14Speaker 1: I don't you know. They're like, are you sure? I'm
- 21:17Speaker 1: like yeah, I'm like, where's my family? Like and then
- 21:21Speaker 1: when they finally came in Wroong, they were like yeah,
- 21:22Speaker 1: they wasn't trying to let us back here. They didn't
- 21:24Speaker 1: think we were a real family. You're on blackout like
- 21:28Speaker 1: they explained it to me. And then they sent me home.
- 21:33Speaker 1: And you didn't know who shot you? Mhm no, yeah
- 21:37Speaker 1: I didn't, but it was it was an accidental. Do
- 21:42Speaker 1: you think mm hmm, no, it was maybe it was
- 21:46Speaker 1: wrong place, wrong time, Maybe maybe they didn't know how
- 21:49Speaker 1: to aim.
- 21:49Speaker 2: I don't know. Your guess is as good as mine.
- 21:53Speaker 1: You know. And what do you think about it being
- 21:56Speaker 1: the date to the anniversary date of your cousin? Did
- 21:59Speaker 1: you feel like you surviving it meant something. Yeah, I
- 22:04Speaker 1: felt like that was that was like my second chance
- 22:07Speaker 1: at life. That was like, chill out, stop doing it,
- 22:10Speaker 1: Stop stop meeting up for fights, stop stop drinking, stop
- 22:14Speaker 1: stop smoking, focus on your music, focus on doing hair.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Get you a job, like you are wasting your life
- 22:21Speaker 1: right now, you know, like do better, you know. So
- 22:25Speaker 1: after that, I just stopped hanging with everybody that I
- 22:29Speaker 1: was hanging with because I felt like that I just
- 22:31Speaker 1: had to go into isolation, you know, which I attached
- 22:36Speaker 1: myself to this toxic man.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Oh horrible. He was like a wolf in sheep's clothing.
- 22:44Speaker 1: At first he was great, Like when I got shot,
- 22:47Speaker 1: so my car looked at like a murdercing like it
- 22:49Speaker 1: was like blood everywhere and I didn't know how to
- 22:52Speaker 1: clean it out. I didn't even like I didn't even
- 22:54Speaker 1: want my car anymore like it was.
- 22:55Speaker 5: It was.
- 22:56Speaker 1: It was like crazy, you know, And he cleaned out
- 23:01Speaker 1: my whole car for me. He was taking care of me,
- 23:04Speaker 1: he was he was picking up my meds.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Like, because how did you meet him?
- 23:09Speaker 5: Though?
- 23:10Speaker 1: I real p Yeah, prior to it, we were just talking.
- 23:15Speaker 1: But that was like my favorite one out of all
- 23:17Speaker 1: of them. I like your style. Okay, I get that.
- 23:21Speaker 1: I get shout out, shout out to that we gotta
- 23:26Speaker 1: do that.
- 23:28Speaker 2: What I can say is he he.
- 23:30Speaker 1: He did pull me up out of a dark spot,
- 23:32Speaker 1: but then he put my ass back in it. Once
- 23:37Speaker 1: I once I finally like started to like him, that's
- 23:40Speaker 1: when he started.
- 23:41Speaker 2: To become different.
- 23:44Speaker 1: I started back doing like my my covers, which I
- 23:48Speaker 1: was going viral again, and he didn't like that. He
- 23:53Speaker 1: was like, oh, they only like you because they want
- 23:57Speaker 1: to have sex with you, because it was yeah, and
- 24:01Speaker 1: I was like, no, I can actually rap, you know.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Then I started going to the studio and making songs
- 24:06Speaker 1: and he's like, I don't. I don't want you to
- 24:08Speaker 1: put this out because I don't want them hearing you
- 24:09Speaker 1: rap like this. That's embarrassing to me. And I'm like, no,
- 24:14Speaker 1: this is music. Every time he would he would get
- 24:17Speaker 1: got cheatd on me, I drop a song and go viral.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Get every time get got cheating on me, your song
- 24:23Speaker 1: would go viral. No, so I wouldn't really drop music
- 24:26Speaker 1: or post pictures or get cute because he would he
- 24:29Speaker 1: would get mad, and I didn't want to make it
- 24:30Speaker 1: mad because I was so.
- 24:31Speaker 2: In love, you know, but it it was a trauma. Vind.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Now that I'm in therapy, you know, I can I
- 24:37Speaker 1: can actually look back and say, Hey, that was this,
- 24:41Speaker 1: Hey that was that.
- 24:42Speaker 2: You know, there was a trauma, Vind, you know.
- 24:45Speaker 1: And can you explain what a trauma bond is for
- 24:49Speaker 1: people that don't know? When you go through something and
- 24:53Speaker 1: you isolate yourself, you if there's someone there, you would
- 24:58Speaker 1: you would attach yourself to them, and it would be
- 25:03Speaker 1: a horrible bond because once you over that trauma and
- 25:06Speaker 1: they start to show you who they are or if
- 25:10Speaker 1: they want to.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Leave you, you go.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Back through the trauma, like and it's and it's kind
- 25:16Speaker 1: of like a soul tie, Like it's hard to get
- 25:18Speaker 1: away from that person. Like it's hard you think that
- 25:21Speaker 1: that's all that you have, Like you don't you don't
- 25:23Speaker 1: know how to let them go, no matter what they
- 25:25Speaker 1: do to you, no matter how bad they treat you
- 25:28Speaker 1: don't know how to let them go. And you only
- 25:31Speaker 1: bond with them through a through a traumatic experience in
- 25:35Speaker 1: your life, you know. And Yeah, So every time I
- 25:41Speaker 1: would catch him cheating because I wouldn't drop music, I
- 25:43Speaker 1: want post pictures, wouldn't do nothing because he would always
- 25:45Speaker 1: have a problem with me doing something. I drop a
- 25:49Speaker 1: song that he didn't want me to drop, so Ratchet
- 25:52Speaker 1: Turk Sauce started going crazy and he was like, they
- 25:55Speaker 1: only like the song because you're talking.
- 25:56Speaker 2: About it was it was a raunchy song. I'm sying
- 26:01Speaker 2: AI cool.
- 26:01Speaker 1: It was like, oh, because you're talking about shaking ass.
- 26:04Speaker 1: And I'm like, no, they like the song because the
- 26:07Speaker 1: song is good what you're talking about, you know. And
- 26:10Speaker 1: every time that I would get bookings, he would come
- 26:11Speaker 1: out of town with me.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Just to ruin my fucking bookings.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Oh god, like he would think that I'm trying to
- 26:17Speaker 1: talk to the promoters and so that we you. Meanwhile
- 26:20Speaker 1: he does his cheating. Yes, that's so. I was like
- 26:23Speaker 1: ninety eight pounds, like so small I was. I was
- 26:28Speaker 1: so fragile, but I was. And every time and he'll
- 26:32Speaker 1: cheat on me, I go out to go fight the girl.
- 26:34Speaker 1: So I'm so I'm back in what I fought so
- 26:37Speaker 1: hard to get away from. And yeah, it.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Sucks and I and I didn't know how to break it.
- 26:44Speaker 1: And I wasn't close to my family so I couldn't
- 26:45Speaker 1: run to them and say, hey, I'm going through this, Hey,
- 26:49Speaker 1: this is what's happening.
- 26:50Speaker 2: To me, so I had to sit in it again.
- 26:55Speaker 1: And at this time I lived with my grandmother, so
- 26:57Speaker 1: like I would be so meaning like last shot, but
- 27:01Speaker 1: she didn't understand, like what was going on, Like I
- 27:03Speaker 1: was really hurting, you know, And oh, it happens a
- 27:08Speaker 1: lot on this show, Believe or not. You want to
- 27:10Speaker 1: get a.
- 27:13Speaker 2: It's a safe space. Coult this burt out. I don't cry.
- 27:18Speaker 1: It's good crying. Crying price healing it is.
- 27:23Speaker 2: But I'm like, I'm finna cheap back.
- 27:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna get outside because me staying in his house
- 27:31Speaker 1: being stressed and oppressed about a man that in mind,
- 27:34Speaker 1: I can't keep doing it and I'm not getting nowhere.
- 27:38Speaker 1: So I so I kept dropping music, I started going out.
- 27:42Speaker 1: He hated it like it was. It was like when
- 27:46Speaker 1: a narcissistic a narcissistic psychopath lose control control, they go crazy.
- 27:54Speaker 2: I never knew what he was called until now.
- 27:58Speaker 1: It sounds like you've been doing your Yeah, you know
- 28:03Speaker 1: what from the second walked in. You had this beautiful
- 28:05Speaker 1: glow about you. But everything from like I said, the
- 28:08Speaker 1: broker of the dish, the better the story its.
- 28:12Speaker 2: So how did you end up get away? Yeah?
- 28:17Speaker 1: I started dating other people and like I will tell them,
- 28:20Speaker 1: like I might leave you alone when he want.
- 28:22Speaker 2: To come back.
- 28:23Speaker 1: And I met I met this girl, and I would
- 28:28Speaker 1: leave everybody alone for him. But I couldn't leave her alone.
- 28:31Speaker 1: And I started talking to her and she became a girlfriend.
- 28:36Speaker 2: And I left him alone.
- 28:39Speaker 1: And then that's when I ran into this conflict because
- 28:43Speaker 1: they were like, oh, how do you wrap up men,
- 28:44Speaker 1: but you have a girlfriend.
- 28:46Speaker 2: I'm like, you ya act like I'm gay. You act
- 28:48Speaker 2: like I only like women, you know, and either way
- 28:54Speaker 2: or go.
- 28:54Speaker 1: I still went up, Literally like, I still went up.
- 28:58Speaker 1: And at one point time I used to want to
- 29:01Speaker 1: like hide that I liked women, because I'm like, what
- 29:03Speaker 1: if they just judged me off the fact that I
- 29:06Speaker 1: had a girlfriend. They might say, oh, it's capping your
- 29:10Speaker 1: wrap because you have a girlfriend, which you wrap by man.
- 29:12Speaker 1: It's like I've had white friends.
- 29:14Speaker 2: I like men. I don't only like women.
- 29:16Speaker 1: You know, was that your first girlfriend?
- 29:18Speaker 2: No, I was actually in the closet back in the day.
- 29:21Speaker 2: I was in the closet. You know, even if you
- 29:23Speaker 2: would have opened it, you bout.
- 29:24Speaker 1: What, but you would be considered that would be bisexual?
- 29:27Speaker 4: Right?
- 29:28Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah?
- 29:29Speaker 1: You know at first, I used to identify its pans
- 29:31Speaker 1: sexual because I don't have a type, you know. I
- 29:34Speaker 1: love is love to me, really, yes, love is love.
- 29:37Speaker 1: I don't I don't have a type. But it was
- 29:39Speaker 1: you don't have a type at all. No, okay, you don't.
- 29:44Speaker 1: And it was like like that that became the main
- 29:51Speaker 1: focus of me.
- 29:52Speaker 2: And I'm like, god, damn, I I'm by sexual. What
- 29:54Speaker 2: you like? Come on now?
- 29:55Speaker 1: Because I that that would be the main focus.
- 29:58Speaker 2: I'm like, Okay, I make great music. That's it. I
- 30:01Speaker 2: make great music.
- 30:02Speaker 1: It shouldn't it shouldn't matter who i'm you know, but
- 30:07Speaker 1: sometimes they matter in this game, you know. And every
- 30:11Speaker 1: time that I came with it here, it was like
- 30:13Speaker 1: it didn't matter.
- 30:14Speaker 2: It didn't matter what I was doing, who I was with,
- 30:16Speaker 2: to who.
- 30:17Speaker 1: It didn't matter to who. It didn't it didn't matter
- 30:19Speaker 1: to the masses. Because when I made Snatched, I had
- 30:23Speaker 1: a girlfriend. When I made Pretty Girls Walk, I had
- 30:27Speaker 1: a girlfriend heavy out Outside. So so Outside is the
- 30:36Speaker 1: song that really got me noticed by the labels.
- 30:40Speaker 2: And it was about about a man.
- 30:43Speaker 1: I was like, break that bitch, but you know, and
- 30:46Speaker 1: it was going crazy and I had a girlfriend saying
- 30:49Speaker 1: break daddy, like like I had a girlfriend, but you know,
- 30:52Speaker 1: still it went crazy.
- 30:54Speaker 2: It didn't matter who who I laid with, you know.
- 30:57Speaker 1: And at that time, like that is when I found
- 31:00Speaker 1: the caneralization. Is like, I'm not going to have I'm me.
- 31:03Speaker 1: I make dope bass music. You know I could do her,
- 31:07Speaker 1: I do concent. I'm pretty come on it, you know.
- 31:10Speaker 1: So I started living with my truth in and felt great.
- 31:15Speaker 1: I signed to Republic Records. This is doing COVID twenty twenty.
- 31:20Speaker 1: When did the ex end up coming coming around again?
- 31:24Speaker 1: Or did he?
- 31:25Speaker 2: He would start writing me periodically. Once I go up
- 31:29Speaker 2: on media, he would like be like, oh, I always
- 31:35Speaker 2: knew he was gonna make it.
- 31:36Speaker 1: I miss you. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Yeah, can you
- 31:41Speaker 1: try again?
- 31:43Speaker 2: No, sir?
- 31:44Speaker 1: Like no, sirn So, I knew that my CD gave
- 31:48Speaker 1: me everything that they could. So I moved to lant
- 31:52Speaker 1: So as I signed, I went to I'm from Saint Louis, Okay.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Saint Louis Okay. So I moved to Atlanta and and
- 32:00Speaker 1: I've been here since and it's only been up for her.
- 32:02Speaker 1: And you've been by yourself in Atlanta. You moved by yourself.
- 32:05Speaker 2: No, I actually moved with us with a significant other.
- 32:08Speaker 1: But are you and the girls still together? Is it
- 32:10Speaker 1: like love story?
- 32:12Speaker 2: I'm by myself.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Oh you moved okay, but now you're single okay, yeah, okay, yeah,
- 32:19Speaker 1: and now I'm big bossed the Wow. What are some
- 32:28Speaker 1: of the things that you would say if you had
- 32:32Speaker 1: to look back, some of the things that you wish
- 32:34Speaker 1: you could have avoided?
- 32:38Speaker 2: M hmm.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Do you feel like some of your stories.
- 32:43Speaker 2: I do feel like that.
- 32:46Speaker 1: I like beinginess though that I didn't have guidance or
- 32:49Speaker 1: I didn't have someone who knew whatever doing. I had
- 32:54Speaker 1: to go through everything that I went through because if
- 32:56Speaker 1: I didn't do it, then I'll be going through it now.
- 33:00Speaker 1: And I learned like early on, so they took everything
- 33:05Speaker 1: when I had nothing to take, and now that I
- 33:08Speaker 1: have everything to lose, oh, I won't do now. I
- 33:11Speaker 1: can read contracts, front was backwards naked clothes. However you
- 33:14Speaker 1: give it to me, I'm going to read it. Then
- 33:16Speaker 1: I'm going to send to my lawyer. I can manage
- 33:19Speaker 1: my money. I know how to do things by myself,
- 33:24Speaker 1: like like like I can go places by myself, I
- 33:26Speaker 1: can book flights, I can book like back in the day,
- 33:29Speaker 1: I didn't know how to book a flight, book a rental,
- 33:32Speaker 1: payper id.
- 33:33Speaker 2: I know how to do nothing. I just knew how
- 33:35Speaker 2: to just I don't know.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Do you feel like you learned those skill sets after
- 33:38Speaker 1: you move to Atlanta.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Or before before?
- 33:40Speaker 1: Like I like I learned them when I was trying
- 33:44Speaker 1: to break during COVID, like like twenty nineteen, twenty twenty.
- 33:47Speaker 1: That was that was when I started to learn how
- 33:49Speaker 1: to really be an adult and pay bills and that.
- 33:52Speaker 1: But yeah, like back in the day, I didn't I
- 33:54Speaker 1: didn't know how to do anything, and I wasn't surrounded
- 33:57Speaker 1: by good people that can help me. You know, what
- 34:02Speaker 1: does your family think about your growth? Now?
- 34:05Speaker 4: I feel like your family seems to be very hidden
- 34:08Speaker 4: in your story, like they You're definitely like the roads that.
- 34:13Speaker 1: From Caer Right back in the day, we really wasn't close,
- 34:19Speaker 1: like we like, we really wasn't.
- 34:21Speaker 2: I was.
- 34:22Speaker 1: I was lashing out and needing help, and they didn't
- 34:25Speaker 1: know how to help me. And most of our household
- 34:31Speaker 1: households don't don't say hey, let me get my key help.
- 34:35Speaker 1: They don't say that, you know, So yeah, I just
- 34:38Speaker 1: had to sit in my pit. You know what made
- 34:41Speaker 1: you pick up the phone and choose therapy. I actually
- 34:44Speaker 1: just started going to therapy. Like last year toxic I was.
- 34:48Speaker 1: I was toxic, very toxic, and I didn't know how
- 34:52Speaker 1: to control my emotions.
- 34:53Speaker 2: I didn't.
- 34:53Speaker 1: I didn't know how to effectively communicate in overstimulating situations.
- 35:04Speaker 1: I didn't.
- 35:05Speaker 2: I would just be like, oh no, I would just
- 35:10Speaker 2: lash out and get physical.
- 35:11Speaker 1: It's like it was either but how did you know?
- 35:14Speaker 1: Or like where was that indicator where you felt like
- 35:16Speaker 1: it was a problem and you needed to pivot into
- 35:19Speaker 1: a better solution, Like what was that point where you
- 35:21Speaker 1: were like, I don't I don't want to fight anymore.
- 35:23Speaker 1: I don't want to be the source of.
- 35:28Speaker 4: What was that pivotal point, Because there's usually a breaking
- 35:30Speaker 4: point right where you're just like, fucking I need help.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Hmmm.
- 35:36Speaker 1: I started losing myself within the industry, like I felt
- 35:41Speaker 1: like I felt like that I was overlooked. I felt unheard.
- 35:51Speaker 1: I didn't know. I didn't know how to celebrate the
- 35:59Speaker 1: winds out I was actually having, Like I didn't I
- 36:02Speaker 1: didn't see it because I was working so hard.
- 36:05Speaker 2: It was like.
- 36:13Speaker 4: Sometimes when people are striving for a milestone, especially what
- 36:18Speaker 4: I noticed was successful people to doing this show is
- 36:21Speaker 4: like you hit a milestone and you keep moving, you know,
- 36:25Speaker 4: you keep moving the ceiling a little bit higher and higher.
- 36:27Speaker 4: Do you feel like you were that that was kind
- 36:31Speaker 4: of happening where you just kept moving the gold post.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Yeah, it was like that. They I'm like, oh gosh.
- 36:39Speaker 1: I was like, I don't know, like I was, I
- 36:42Speaker 1: was working, and then I was like I didn't I
- 36:49Speaker 1: don't know. I feel like I don't know. I really
- 36:53Speaker 1: don't even know how to put in the words. I
- 36:55Speaker 1: just felt like I was working so hard and it
- 36:58Speaker 1: was taking so long to break and I was just
- 37:01Speaker 1: like no, like this is and then like and instead
- 37:07Speaker 1: of just doing things, I was overthinking everything.
- 37:10Speaker 2: So it was putting me in my mind, putting me
- 37:12Speaker 2: in my head, and.
- 37:14Speaker 1: I was like, I can't keep I can't keep sparkling,
- 37:18Speaker 1: you know, I can't keep going like this and this.
- 37:22Speaker 1: My team was telling me like that, like you're doing good,
- 37:25Speaker 1: like cut out. So when I went to therapy, it
- 37:30Speaker 1: was like and I wasn't only losing myself within the industry,
- 37:35Speaker 1: I was losing myself at home, friends, family, Like I
- 37:39Speaker 1: was lashing out again, and I was like, therapy, I
- 37:42Speaker 1: need you, Like I don't I don't know. Was it
- 37:45Speaker 1: like when you say you were lashing out. Was there
- 37:47Speaker 1: like you would lash out and then you feel guilty.
- 37:49Speaker 4: Afterwards or something, because sometimes when you see someone that's tough,
- 37:52Speaker 4: you think, oh man, they're tough.
- 37:53Speaker 1: They're almost like fearless, right there hasn't It's something that
- 38:00Speaker 1: was indicating, like, hey, I don't like this. Were you
- 38:03Speaker 1: feeling bad after lashing out or I was feeling bad?
- 38:08Speaker 1: And then my team was like telling me like, this
- 38:11Speaker 1: is not you. Like I don't know what's going on,
- 38:15Speaker 1: but this not you, you know, And I didn't know
- 38:17Speaker 1: how to how to express myself or say what I
- 38:21Speaker 1: was feeling. I didn't know how to effectively communicate, and
- 38:26Speaker 1: I started to isolate. I didn't want to do things.
- 38:31Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 38:32Speaker 1: I just like I started to become very evil and
- 38:35Speaker 1: it was just like no, I just rather not do anything,
- 38:39Speaker 1: and I'm like something got to give. And then I
- 38:43Speaker 1: was in a relationship, so you know, my sniff other
- 38:46Speaker 1: was like, yo, you you you are being mean to
- 38:54Speaker 1: me and it's not fur of me. You know, this
- 39:00Speaker 1: ain't my fault. I'm not doing anything to you. And
- 39:04Speaker 1: I started to feel guilty because I'm like you're right,
- 39:06Speaker 1: it ain't your fault. It ain't your fault. You know
- 39:09Speaker 1: that I'm feeling this way. So I started going to
- 39:12Speaker 1: trap you. And also it was it was still like
- 39:19Speaker 1: I was enabled within a relationship. So I didn't know
- 39:23Speaker 1: how to stand alone either. Like the relationship that I
- 39:28Speaker 1: was in, I was cold dependent on it, you know.
- 39:32Speaker 1: So that was another thing, Like I was just stressed,
- 39:34Speaker 1: you know, I was going through it.
- 39:35Speaker 4: Well, I was gonna say, because you went from like
- 39:37Speaker 4: trauma bond to like another Yeah, it was like a
- 39:41Speaker 4: band aid over some of that probably could have deserved
- 39:45Speaker 4: like some.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Time king and I didn't. I didn't know that back then,
- 39:51Speaker 1: you know, Like I was just like I was an
- 39:53Speaker 1: all a part. I guess it was just like go
- 39:55Speaker 1: keep just just just keep going, just keep moving. How
- 39:59Speaker 1: tired are you with your mom and all of this?
- 40:01Speaker 1: That's my bestie now, that's your bestie now, Like but
- 40:07Speaker 1: back then would you back then? No, like we were,
- 40:11Speaker 1: I was, I don't know, like I like I think
- 40:14Speaker 1: I was the problem child, Like I was the only
- 40:18Speaker 1: kid that would go up against her, you know, like
- 40:20Speaker 1: I'd be like I'm not doing that, Like no, you know,
- 40:22Speaker 1: I would always question everything or like I don't know,
- 40:26Speaker 1: Like I feel like sometimes households need therapy before they
- 40:31Speaker 1: bring kids into the world because.
- 40:34Speaker 2: You you would.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Do your best, but sometimes your best is still not okay.
- 40:42Speaker 2: And every every.
- 40:47Speaker 1: Every one of my siblings experienced with my with my
- 40:50Speaker 1: parents is different, you know, because it was just different.
- 40:54Speaker 1: But I do know that she did the best that
- 40:55Speaker 1: she could, you know, And I do know like sometimes
- 40:59Speaker 1: that no, they don't understand. But me and my grandmother,
- 41:07Speaker 1: you know, we've always been close. That was like who
- 41:10Speaker 1: I was, who I would run to. And to be
- 41:13Speaker 1: completely honest, if I can remember correctly, when I was
- 41:18Speaker 1: in high school, it was like one day I was
- 41:19Speaker 1: acting out really bad and they and they called my
- 41:21Speaker 1: grandmother instead of my mother. But at this point I
- 41:25Speaker 1: was just like so off the rails. It was like,
- 41:27Speaker 1: couldn't nobody talk to me. My grandmother came to like
- 41:30Speaker 1: pick me up from school and took me to this
- 41:32Speaker 1: office to where we were talking to some man I
- 41:37Speaker 1: don't really remember if he was.
- 41:38Speaker 2: A therapist, I don't know.
- 41:39Speaker 1: He was talking to him and he was just basically like,
- 41:42Speaker 1: I can't force her to talk to me.
- 41:43Speaker 2: That's what I remember.
- 41:44Speaker 1: He said, I can't force her to talk to me,
- 41:46Speaker 1: and after that it was just like uh from her
- 41:48Speaker 1: and tried again.
- 41:49Speaker 2: So maybe my grandmother didn't Maybe she did.
- 41:51Speaker 1: Try, she tried. Oh wow. Okay, So now you have
- 41:57Speaker 1: these accolades in your family's one hundred percent supportive, there
- 42:02Speaker 1: are one hundred percent supportive.
- 42:03Speaker 4: And you're in therapy and you're single. Are you gonna
- 42:07Speaker 4: try and maintain your singleness for a bit?
- 42:09Speaker 2: Or I flow with life?
- 42:12Speaker 1: You're funny?
- 42:15Speaker 4: Well okay, Well then I'm gonna ask this other thing
- 42:18Speaker 4: because I had learned this lesson a couple of years
- 42:21Speaker 4: ago from a neighbor of mine. But now that you
- 42:25Speaker 4: have so much more to lose because of everything you've accomplished. Now,
- 42:29Speaker 4: when you are challenged in the position of lashing out
- 42:33Speaker 4: or anger or fighting, do you now calculate that the
- 42:36Speaker 4: person that you're going up against may not have anything
- 42:39Speaker 4: to lose?
- 42:47Speaker 2: Yes? And no.
- 42:49Speaker 1: Yes, if I'm calm, you know, like I would try
- 42:53Speaker 1: to remove myself from any situation that I know may
- 42:57Speaker 1: bring me back to the owe me because I don't
- 43:00Speaker 1: know what she's capable of, and I know that if
- 43:04Speaker 1: I see red it's like rid, you know, I don't
- 43:08Speaker 1: I don't know how to I don't know how to
- 43:11Speaker 1: calm down, so I don't need myself in that situation
- 43:14Speaker 1: too s red.
- 43:15Speaker 2: So it's like I feel you.
- 43:17Speaker 1: My neighbor told me this story once about like you
- 43:20Speaker 1: just always got to consider that the other person has
- 43:23Speaker 1: nothing to lose. So if the other person has nothing
- 43:27Speaker 1: to lose, and you gain the possibility to lose something,
- 43:30Speaker 1: then if you go and knowing like, hey, that person
- 43:33Speaker 1: ain't gonna lose their house, they ain't gonna lose their career,
- 43:35Speaker 1: they ain't gonna lose whatever, then it reduces the like
- 43:40Speaker 1: do you really want to fight someone that has nothing
- 43:42Speaker 1: to The worst person in the world to fight is
- 43:44Speaker 1: the person has nothing to lose because they're gonna help
- 43:46Speaker 1: you lose everything. Yeah, And I'm to the point where
- 43:51Speaker 1: regular people really cannot get to me. People on the
- 43:53Speaker 1: internet can I get to me? Like people can't get
- 43:55Speaker 1: to me. The only ones that can really hurt me
- 43:57Speaker 1: is the ones that be around me, my friends, my
- 44:01Speaker 1: my family. Those are the only ones that can actually
- 44:04Speaker 1: bring me up out of my enement. And if I
- 44:06Speaker 1: see that they trying to, I would distance myself from them.
- 44:10Speaker 1: And when I talk to them again, mm hmm, like
- 44:13Speaker 1: you've set up boundaries now.
- 44:15Speaker 2: Now, yeah, But like back in the day, I didn't.
- 44:17Speaker 1: I didn't know how to set up boundaries, and I
- 44:20Speaker 1: would be baited into arguments with them.
- 44:22Speaker 2: And me and my family used to go so loved.
- 44:25Speaker 1: We would we we knew each other family trauma, so
- 44:30Speaker 1: we would bring it up.
- 44:31Speaker 2: We would we would say it, and it'd be horrible.
- 44:34Speaker 2: You know that that wouldn't be okay.
- 44:36Speaker 1: But like we were so used to just treating each
- 44:38Speaker 1: other like people on the street when they're beef, and it's.
- 44:40Speaker 2: Like but now nah, like.
- 44:45Speaker 1: Nah, I remove myself every time, and sometimes the love
- 44:50Speaker 1: that I have for people, it becomes very hard to
- 44:53Speaker 1: choose myself because I love them, and it's like, you know,
- 44:58Speaker 1: I would want to forget of them, and I will
- 45:00Speaker 1: want to look past the things that are triggering to me.
- 45:03Speaker 1: But I know for a fact that if I stay
- 45:04Speaker 1: in this situation, it's it may bring me up out
- 45:08Speaker 1: of my element and it may cause me to lose
- 45:10Speaker 1: everything that I have and I gotta choose and I'm
- 45:24Speaker 1: still learning that, but I think I'm doing great with it,
- 45:28Speaker 1: though you are you are.
- 45:30Speaker 4: So let's talk industry and metrics. So what's the thing
- 45:34Speaker 4: in the life.
- 45:36Speaker 2: Mm hmm, well right now the day of life.
- 45:43Speaker 1: We're trying to drop this record, right, it's gonna be
- 45:44Speaker 1: a nice record, it's gonna be a big record, but
- 45:48Speaker 1: we're going through clarences. And if artists who's upcoming or
- 45:53Speaker 1: don't know anything about clearences is like when you sample something,
- 45:57Speaker 1: so say you simple a cadence or or a certain
- 46:01Speaker 1: phrase or you know, any anything of that nature. Clarences
- 46:05Speaker 1: are very expensive and they take so long. But something
- 46:09Speaker 1: that my manager told me today that kind of, you know,
- 46:11Speaker 1: stuck with me. It's like, if you believe in this record,
- 46:15Speaker 1: you have to be patient, no matter what you you
- 46:18Speaker 1: have to be patient, and you have to see this
- 46:21Speaker 1: through because I'm not even like let's just drop something
- 46:24Speaker 1: else at this point, you know, yeah, yeah, or let's
- 46:26Speaker 1: just skip the Clayer. Yeah, let's yeah.
- 46:28Speaker 2: But you can't do that. You gotta do everything right.
- 46:30Speaker 1: So I'm like, all right, I believe in this record,
- 46:32Speaker 1: and I believe in myself, and you know, I do
- 46:38Speaker 1: content for the song. I post it on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter.
- 46:46Speaker 1: I can't really tease my music on TikTok right now
- 46:48Speaker 1: because you know, it's kind of that UMG things going
- 46:52Speaker 1: on right now, So that that's the UMG. So, so
- 46:57Speaker 1: TikTok and UMG have to come to terms on what
- 47:01Speaker 1: they're willing to prove.
- 47:03Speaker 2: Yeah, for an artist, and that's kind of hurting us artists.
- 47:10Speaker 1: TikTok plays a very big part in our music going viral.
- 47:16Speaker 2: Every not every but recently.
- 47:18Speaker 1: When my music has been going crazy, it will start
- 47:20Speaker 1: on TikTok and then it would then it would transfer
- 47:23Speaker 1: to different platforms.
- 47:24Speaker 2: But TikTok has always been a starter.
- 47:26Speaker 1: So this is like, this is this is me going
- 47:28Speaker 1: back to like the old days when I used to
- 47:30Speaker 1: go viral Facebook and stuff like that. You know, now
- 47:32Speaker 1: it's different because we can't use TikTok right now. I
- 47:35Speaker 1: don't know how long it's going to be. But you
- 47:37Speaker 1: got to stand alongside who you sound, you know what. Yeah,
- 47:42Speaker 1: I didn't know that. Yeah, so that's that. Sometimes I
- 47:48Speaker 1: do high content, I go to the gym. So how
- 47:52Speaker 1: do you make your money right now? Currently?
- 47:56Speaker 2: Shows?
- 47:58Speaker 1: I have a really great team that moves me around,
- 48:01Speaker 1: So I get sponsorships, my royalties, other platforms paying you
- 48:09Speaker 1: at all too?
- 48:10Speaker 2: No, no, not.
- 48:11Speaker 1: Really, I actually don't want to get played paid, I
- 48:13Speaker 1: say play. I actually don't want to get paid from
- 48:16Speaker 1: platforms because part of me feel like once they start
- 48:19Speaker 1: paying you, your views is kind of fall off.
- 48:22Speaker 2: Really, so don't pay me nothing. Keep it, keep it please.
- 48:26Speaker 1: I thought you were gonna say that. Sometimes I get
- 48:29Speaker 1: I feel some type of way when I hear like
- 48:31Speaker 1: some of the content creators make like half a million
- 48:33Speaker 1: dollars off social media. I'm like, damn, if they're giving
- 48:36Speaker 1: you half a million, your content gotta be worth a
- 48:40Speaker 1: lot more than that. Sometimes they get paid off sponsorships
- 48:44Speaker 1: because brands will see how how big their platform is
- 48:48Speaker 1: and it's like, okay, how can we incorporate our product
- 48:51Speaker 1: within your video?
- 48:52Speaker 2: And that is where the big bucks come for me.
- 48:56Speaker 2: I don't know, but yeah, so that's that.
- 49:01Speaker 1: And therapy, because yeah, sometimes I go home and visit
- 49:07Speaker 1: my family in Saint Louis. I gotta movie that on
- 49:10Speaker 1: from the start filming, so I can't go back home.
- 49:16Speaker 2: I go out t work on couches a little bit.
- 49:19Speaker 1: You're hilarious.
- 49:23Speaker 2: I watched I D Channel with my dog, and I
- 49:27Speaker 2: don't know.
- 49:27Speaker 1: I take life day by day because everything right now
- 49:31Speaker 1: it is new. So yeah, okay, now are you do
- 49:35Speaker 1: you believe in God, Christians.
- 49:37Speaker 2: I believe in that. Okay, I believe in that. Okay.
- 49:40Speaker 1: So is this your first time acting for real?
- 49:42Speaker 5: For real?
- 49:43Speaker 2: Yes?
- 49:44Speaker 1: And you're excited about it.
- 49:45Speaker 2: I'm so excited, but I'm nervous. I'm nervous.
- 49:48Speaker 1: What are you nervous? To them?
- 49:50Speaker 2: What if I forget my life?
- 49:52Speaker 1: Don't they have like on set readers and all that?
- 49:55Speaker 1: I think? Right? I don't know.
- 49:58Speaker 2: I haven't been on set yet.
- 49:59Speaker 1: Have you started memb rising all your stuff? I started?
- 50:02Speaker 1: Do you you start taping this again? It's it's like
- 50:13Speaker 1: you gotta you gotta memorize. Yeah, yeah, I got some
- 50:16Speaker 1: parts memorized. So it's like seeing with party feelings. So
- 50:19Speaker 1: I can go dive into that one.
- 50:21Speaker 4: You're hilarious, You're hilarious, okay, okay, So how can people
- 50:26Speaker 4: keep up with you?
- 50:27Speaker 1: Following me on all platforms and at Big Positive and
- 50:31Speaker 1: watch my content pre save my song ice me because
- 50:33Speaker 1: it is dropping.
- 50:34Speaker 2: And eat ketchup sundwiches. Please don't eat catch them sounds. Okay,
- 50:39Speaker 2: we don't. We don't eat them no more.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Try when was the last time you ate the sandwich? Mm?
- 50:45Speaker 5: Hmm?
- 50:47Speaker 2: Middle school?
- 50:49Speaker 1: Thank God God? And to be honest, I don't e
- 50:52Speaker 1: think that I that I had to eat in middle school.
- 50:54Speaker 1: I just I was craving at one time and it
- 50:57Speaker 1: was just like okay, no more, I'm not doing this
- 50:58Speaker 1: a yain. I feel like you're reference your house is
- 51:00Speaker 1: like a condiment house.
- 51:02Speaker 4: Yeah, where were all these condiments coming from?
- 51:05Speaker 1: You know when like sometimes you would like eat out
- 51:08Speaker 1: and then you have like liftos so that or you
- 51:11Speaker 1: have a drawer in your house with just catch your
- 51:13Speaker 1: packets and yeah, and then like my mom would go
- 51:17Speaker 1: grocery shopping from time to time, but then like I
- 51:22Speaker 1: don't know if we should just eat because it was dark,
- 51:25Speaker 1: like the grocery should be going like the next day
- 51:26Speaker 1: you be gone, like it just be you know, okay,
- 51:29Speaker 1: maybe I'm over jags right not the next day, but
- 51:31Speaker 1: it'd be going fast, and we'll be left with this
- 51:34Speaker 1: condiment house again until she come home and like cook
- 51:38Speaker 1: the food that we don't know how to cook. It's different.
- 51:40Speaker 2: But other than that, we have to vand for ourselves.
- 51:43Speaker 4: Is there any advice you would give to anybody that's
- 51:45Speaker 4: trying to get in your position.
- 51:50Speaker 1: As my team would say, stay in your own lane,
- 51:53Speaker 1: watch your own race. If if you need therapy goes
- 52:02Speaker 1: to therapy, I promise it is okay, it is fine.
- 52:06Speaker 1: What's therapy? What you expected it to be? Actually? No,
- 52:10Speaker 1: I thought they was gonna try to make me crazy,
- 52:12Speaker 1: like it was gonna be like you're crazy. But then
- 52:14Speaker 1: I was like, oh no, that's normal. Oh so in
- 52:16Speaker 1: these situations, you know, she's she's it's a it's a
- 52:20Speaker 1: it's a she she's a teaching me, you know, how
- 52:23Speaker 1: to how to approach situations different differently? Do you now
- 52:31Speaker 1: look forward to it too?
- 52:32Speaker 4: Now because you have someone that you can like confidence sometimes.
- 52:36Speaker 1: But then when I be doing like small toxic stuff
- 52:38Speaker 1: I gotta tell her about I'd be like, I know
- 52:39Speaker 1: she's gonna get in my ass, so I'd be like,
- 52:43Speaker 1: I'll be trying to like not go.
- 52:47Speaker 2: Then I'll be like I gotta go.
- 52:49Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, I was gonna say, do you feel like
- 52:50Speaker 1: it's a safe space though, Oh yeah, yeah, it is
- 52:53Speaker 1: a safe space, like like I can I can be
- 52:56Speaker 1: my authentic self like I don't I don't have to
- 52:59Speaker 1: dm anything down wild in therapy, And after I'd be done,
- 53:04Speaker 1: she'd be like okay, so and then she'll go in
- 53:07Speaker 1: and she would dissect it and help me understand what
- 53:14Speaker 1: I just explained to her, because I'll be everywhere, you know,
- 53:21Speaker 1: and it's like, you know, she has been pointing out
- 53:24Speaker 1: things that I didn't even know, you know, about myself
- 53:28Speaker 1: because because I was just sure things for her, and
- 53:30Speaker 1: I'll just vent and she'd be like, okay, well let's
- 53:33Speaker 1: go back to what you said here, and I'll be
- 53:35Speaker 1: like okay, and something that I just brushed past. She
- 53:38Speaker 1: would literally be like, no, that's actually and then I
- 53:42Speaker 1: was like, oh, got it. Okay, Okay, so she's she's
- 53:47Speaker 1: she's teaching you a lot about yourself.
- 53:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I would.
- 53:52Speaker 1: I would also tell people to like, get you a
- 53:54Speaker 1: great team, Like get you a team who knows the business,
- 53:58Speaker 1: who understand it's the business, and who want to see
- 54:02Speaker 1: you win no matter what. You know. Try to stay
- 54:06Speaker 1: away from relationships now hurt me out there?
- 54:09Speaker 2: Fun they are, you know, but.
- 54:14Speaker 1: Like going through things when you're trying to build yourself
- 54:19Speaker 1: and prepare for a different version of yourself in a
- 54:25Speaker 1: different life, it's very hard.
- 54:29Speaker 2: And some people is easy.
- 54:33Speaker 1: Most of the times are all right, And I don't know,
- 54:36Speaker 1: like focus on yourself, always choose yourself, know your words,
- 54:43Speaker 1: and never settle. I want to touch on one last thing.
- 54:46Speaker 4: So you have really beautiful tattoos, but one of them
- 54:48Speaker 4: in particular really stick out, which is this never settle one.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Can you tell me the story on this one. When
- 54:56Speaker 1: I was with that toxic man, I used to like
- 55:00Speaker 1: get tattoos when I would try to teach myself lessons
- 55:03Speaker 1: because no one taught me to never settle. I felt
- 55:06Speaker 1: like I was settling for him, Like I was settling
- 55:09Speaker 1: because I feel like this was all that I can get.
- 55:12Speaker 1: I was settling because I felt like nobody else is
- 55:15Speaker 1: gonna treat me as good as he once did because
- 55:18Speaker 1: he never treated me good after he showed me who
- 55:20Speaker 1: he really was. It was just comfortability. Yeah, and I
- 55:25Speaker 1: didn't know how to be alone either, so that was it.
- 55:29Speaker 1: And yeah, it was like never settle good vibes. Yeah,
- 55:35Speaker 1: it was like, so you do that every time you
- 55:37Speaker 1: want to, like, hey, don't forget this lesson you inc
- 55:39Speaker 1: it in ink it. Okay, Well, thank you for blessing
- 55:47Speaker 1: me with a ketchup sandwich to get in to know you.
