- Lucas: Hey, welcome back to Learn Spanish with Fexingo! I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. Episode 13! Can you believe it? Lucas: I know. And today I have a tiny story for you. A really simple one, but all in English, with a few Spanish phrases sprinkled in. Luna: Oh, I love stories. What's it about? Lucas: A morning at a bakery. You know, someone walks in, says hello, orders some bread, says goodbye. Very everyday. Luna: Perfect. And the Spanish will be stuff we've already learned, right? Lucas: Exactly. Just recycling phrases from earlier episodes. So let's dive in. Lucas: It's early — like 7am. The sun is just coming up. Ana walks into a small bakery. The baker is behind the counter. Ana smiles and says, 'Hola, buenos días.' Luna: Hola, buenos días. I remember that. Good morning. Lucas: Right. The baker looks up and says, '¡Hola! Buenos días. ¿Cómo estás?' Luna: ¿Cómo estás? How are you? Lucas: Ana nods and says, 'Bien, gracias. ¿Y tú?' Luna: Bien, gracias. And you? That's from episode 12. Lucas: Yep. The baker says, 'Bien, también. ¿En qué te puedo ayudar?' — but that's new, so just listen. Ana points to a loaf of bread and says, 'Un pan, por favor.' Luna: Por favor. Please. So she's ordering one bread, please. Lucas: Exactly. The baker wraps it up and hands it to her. Ana says, 'Gracias.' Luna: Gracias. Thank you. Lucas: And then she says, 'Adiós. Hasta luego.' Luna: Adiós, hasta luego. Goodbye, see you later. Lucas: The baker waves and says, '¡Hasta luego!' And Ana walks out into the morning sun. Luna: That's such a sweet little story. And I noticed we used a lot of phrases: Hola, buenos días, ¿cómo estás?, bien gracias, por favor, gracias, adiós, hasta luego. Lucas: You got it. Now, let's hear the whole story again, but this time when the Spanish comes up, you say it along with me. Lucas: Ana walks into the bakery. She says — Luna: Hola, buenos días. Lucas: The baker says, '¡Hola! Buenos días. ¿Cómo estás?' Luna: ¿Cómo estás? Lucas: Ana says, 'Bien, gracias. ¿Y tú?' Luna: Bien, gracias. Lucas: She orders: 'Un pan, por favor.' Luna: Por favor. Lucas: She says thank you: 'Gracias.' Luna: Gracias. Lucas: And goodbye: 'Adiós. Hasta luego.' Luna: Adiós, hasta luego. Lucas: See? You know all of those. So next time you walk into a bakery — or anywhere — you can use them. Luna: I love that it's all review. No pressure. Lucas: That's the idea. Keep building slowly. Alright, that's it for episode 13 of Learn Spanish with Fexingo. Practice these phrases, and we'll see you next time. Luna: ¡Hasta luego! Lucas: ¡Hasta luego!
