- 0:05Speaker 1: Last time on Killer Cargo, after a hangry alien killed
- 0:09Speaker 1: nearly everyone on board a Gulfstream G650, sole survivors Anita
- 0:16Speaker 1: and Kevin landed the plane at Branson, Missouri Airport and
- 0:20Speaker 1: ran inside.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Who are you talking to?
- 0:24Speaker 1: The people who are listening to the podcast.
- 0:27Speaker 2: I don't see anybody.
- 0:29Speaker 1: They're listening, you walking potato.
- 0:32Speaker 2: It's a podcast.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Oh, shit.
- 0:35Speaker 4: Right.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Anyways, they thought they trapped the monster
- 0:39Speaker 1: inside the plane, but it got out and killed poor Madge,
- 0:43Speaker 1: the cleaning lady.
- 0:45Speaker 2: R.I.P.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Madge.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Respect.
- 0:47Speaker 1: So, Kevin gets drunk, and Anita spills the beans that
- 0:52Speaker 1: she had an affair with Daria's husband.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Oh, snap.
- 0:56Speaker 5: Yup, yup, yup.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Anita... used to be a pilot, but Daria holds her
- 1:01Speaker 1: license over her head and makes Anita work for her.
- 1:05Speaker 2: And this is the part of.
- 1:06Speaker 1: The movie where we come in.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Finally.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Don't get too excited.
- 1:11Speaker 1: They only call us Bodyguard 1 and Bodyguard 2.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Well, that's a load of crap.
- 1:18Speaker 4: Yeah, it is, Heather.
- 1:20Speaker 1: So, we show up along with Gunner.
- 1:24Speaker 2: How Gunner get his name in it?
- 1:26Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:26Speaker 2: He ain't that great, but Listen to this.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Daria shoots Kevin in the stomach.
- 1:32Speaker 3: No.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Yeah, crazy, huh? Just when you think you know someone,
- 1:36Speaker 1: they go and.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Shoot you in the stomach.
- 1:39Speaker 6: You can never really know someone.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Well, that's it. You're all caught up. And now it's
- 1:48Speaker 1: time for the conclusion of Killer Cargo.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Nice. The pod. Kevin lies in the middle of the container.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Covered in blood, his stark white face glows in the night.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Gunner, bodyguard one and bodyguard two encircle her. Weapons drawn.
- 2:13Speaker 3: She pleads, brandishing the knife.
- 2:15Speaker 6: Please don't let him die like this.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Please.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Daria puts her hand on Gunner's shoulder.
- 2:21Speaker 5: Give her a second.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Anita kneels at his side.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Oh, Kevin.
- 2:25Speaker 6: Hey.
- 2:27Speaker 7: Hey.
- 2:28Speaker 6: I'm gonna get you out of here.
- 2:30Speaker 3: She yanks at his arm. Don't.
- 2:32Speaker 6: Come on.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Kill me before it comes.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Anita grasps Kevin's hand.
- 2:37Speaker 6: I'm so sorry. You were right. I should have left
- 2:41Speaker 6: with you.
- 2:42Speaker 3: He whispers.
- 2:43Speaker 2: You said I was right.
- 2:46Speaker 3: She manages a faint smile. He coughs up a little.
- 2:52Speaker 2: You don't need anybody. You're enough. Don't you forget that.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Tears stream down her face. She manages a nod.
- 3:02Speaker 6: Kevin?
- 3:03Speaker 3: He tries to focus on her.
- 3:05Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 3:07Speaker 6: So, there's this charity dinner.
- 3:10Speaker 3: He smiles and loses consciousness.
- 3:14Speaker 5: There's nothing you can do now. Let's go.
- 3:17Speaker 6: I'm not letting that thing have him.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Anita swings the butcher's knife up. Gunnery grabs her arm
- 3:23Speaker 3: before she can bring it down on Kevin's chest. The
- 3:26Speaker 3: knife clatters to the tarmac. He drags Anita back to Betty, G650.
- 3:31Speaker 3: She smacks and scratches at him. Daria follows.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Let me go!
- 3:38Speaker 2: Better stop.
- 3:39Speaker 5: I want her to see this.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Daria takes hold of Anita's hair, directing her face toward
- 3:45Speaker 3: the terminal.
- 3:46Speaker 7: In a moment, the project will come out for Kevin.
- 3:50Speaker 7: The energy leaving his dying body is especially enticing to it.
- 3:54Speaker 3: On cue, the monster scurries from the terminal, hurtling towards
- 3:58Speaker 3: her office. A short cabin. Terror mutes Anita. The alien
- 4:04Speaker 3: is now ten feet tall.
- 4:06Speaker 7: It constricts when it's wounded. So we'll open fire on it,
- 4:10Speaker 7: make it a little more manageable, and then.
- 4:12Speaker 3: She snaps her fingers.
- 4:14Speaker 5: We'll be back on track.
- 4:16Speaker 3: She shoots Anita an absolutely insane grin.
- 4:19Speaker 7: My darling Anita, you are witnessing a new era in
- 4:24Speaker 7: human history!
- 4:25Speaker 5: The healing era!
- 4:27Speaker 3: Then whispers into her ear.
- 4:30Speaker 5: This is the best ending for him anyway. We both
- 4:34Speaker 5: know he was going nowhere.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Daria lets go of Anita's hair and bellows.
- 4:40Speaker 6: Gentlemen, now!
- 4:42Speaker 3: Gunner tosses Anita to the ground, sprinting around the plane.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Once in the open, he blasts the creature. Bodyguard 1
- 4:50Speaker 3: and Bodyguard 2 join in. Daria reaches out to help Anita.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Anita bats the crazy bitch away.
- 4:57Speaker 5: Get off!
- 4:58Speaker 3: The creature absorbs the bullets into its abdomen and releases
- 5:01Speaker 3: a grating screech. Swampy green sludge oozes from its wounds.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Bodyguard 2 wields a machine gun. Liberating a stream of slugs,
- 5:11Speaker 3: the monster shrinks in mere seconds.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Hold your fire!
- 5:15Speaker 3: Through the gun smoke, the creature teeters, back to the
- 5:19Speaker 3: size of a dog. It eyes the vibrating pod and
- 5:22Speaker 3: breaks into a gallop toward Kevin's dying body. Anita covers
- 5:27Speaker 3: her face with her hands and turns away. She can't watch.
- 5:30Speaker 3: The alien reaches the pod and lunges, tentacles squirm, prodding
- 5:35Speaker 3: Kevin's body. And then, it just... Darius screams at Bodyguard 1.
- 5:44Speaker 5: What are you doing?
- 5:45Speaker 2: Shut the pod!
- 5:46Speaker 1: Um, is it supposed to do that?
- 5:49Speaker 3: Tentacles retract into the monster's body.
- 5:52Speaker 6: Fucking close it!
- 5:53Speaker 3: Bodyguard 1 nods and advances, gun drawn.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Cover me!
- 5:57Speaker 3: Bodyguard 1 edges up, pistol drawn. He places his hand
- 6:00Speaker 3: on the lid. Wham! A limb rips through his stomach.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Bodyguard 2's jaw hangs open in shock.
- 6:09Speaker 1: I'm sorry you'll fucking come and shoot it.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Bodyguard 2 runs forward, squeezing the trigger of the machine gun. Whack!
- 6:17Speaker 3: An alien arm tears through Bodyguard 2's chest, killing him instantly.
- 6:22Speaker 2: No!
- 6:24Speaker 3: Gunner watches in disbelief. Shit! Bodyguard 2's dead finger clamps
- 6:29Speaker 3: on the trigger, unleashing a barrage of bullets. Slug's fine gunner,
- 6:34Speaker 3: jerking his body from side to side in a sort
- 6:36Speaker 3: of mad dance. Bodyguard 1 rises in pain, desperate to
- 6:41Speaker 3: free himself from the deadly appendage that wriggles through his stomach.
- 6:44Speaker 5: Oh, God, help me!
- 6:46Speaker 3: Machine gun still blasting, the monster drags Bodyguard 2's dead
- 6:50Speaker 3: body towards its pulsating mouth. Anita lies flat on the ground,
- 6:54Speaker 3: covering her head with her hands. Daria runs towards Wilma,
- 6:58Speaker 3: the G-800, screaming into her phone.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Start the engine!
- 7:02Speaker 5: Start the engine! We need to take off ASAP!
- 7:05Speaker 3: At the base of Wilma's stairs, Captain Riley beckons.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Mr.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Dota, over here!
- 7:09Speaker 3: She barks back.
- 7:10Speaker 6: What are you doing?
- 7:11Speaker 5: Get your ass inside!
- 7:13Speaker 2: I need you to.
- 7:14Speaker 5: Start the fucking plane!
- 7:16Speaker 3: He nods, eyes bulging at the slaughter before him. Captain
- 7:19Speaker 3: Riley turns to obey Daria's order. But before he even
- 7:22Speaker 3: takes the first step, a river of bullets cuts him down.
- 7:29Speaker 3: Daria sighs hard.
- 7:31Speaker 5: Fucking morons.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Gunner's gun lies next to his now-still body. Daria grabs it.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Anita focuses on the pod. To her amazement, the alien
- 7:42Speaker 3: slides off of Kevin and ripples to the ground. Kevin
- 7:45Speaker 3: seems unharmed.
- 7:46Speaker 6: Drunks and fools.
- 7:49Speaker 7: Wait.
- 7:50Speaker 6: Drunks?
- 7:52Speaker 3: The creature slithers away from Kevin in the pod, pulling
- 7:55Speaker 3: Bodyguard 1 and Bodyguard 2 behind it. It grows larger
- 7:58Speaker 3: by the second. Anita stays low, dodging the torrent of
- 8:02Speaker 3: Bodyguard 2's auto-sprayed machine gun fire and dashes to the
- 8:06Speaker 3: open pod. The pod. Kevin's eyes blink open. Bright red
- 8:13Speaker 3: suction marks cover his skin. Although frail, he actually smiles.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Sup?
- 8:22Speaker 3: She can't help herself. She smiles back.
- 8:26Speaker 6: You idiot.
- 8:28Speaker 3: He looks down at his stomach.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Why didn't it eat me?
- 8:32Speaker 6: I don't know for sure, but I think it has
- 8:35Speaker 6: something to do with how drunk you are. Hey, can
- 8:39Speaker 6: you get out?
- 8:40Speaker 2: I'll try.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Bullets whiz overhead. Anita flinches.
- 8:44Speaker 6: Uh, try faster.
- 8:46Speaker 3: He struggles, but no go.
- 8:48Speaker 5: Stop.
- 8:49Speaker 6: I'll do it.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Anita pulls at him, both of them grunt, groan. She
- 8:54Speaker 3: glides her arm under his back, crouches next to the pod.
- 8:58Speaker 3: and rolls him onto her back like a firefighter. He moans.
- 9:05Speaker 5: Sorry.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Legs shaking under Kevin's weight, Anita begins the arduous journey
- 9:10Speaker 3: back to Betty. Meanwhile, the creature reels both Bodyguard 1
- 9:13Speaker 3: and Bodyguard 2 toward its gnashing fangs. Bodyguard 1's eyes
- 9:18Speaker 3: bulge in terror.
- 9:20Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no.
- 9:24Speaker 3: An appendage smacks into his mouth, throwing his head back.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Anita turns her head away in time, but Kevin does not.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Snapping and cracking. Skin, muscle, and bone rupture and yield.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Oh, fuck.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Anita grunts under Kevin's weight.
- 9:42Speaker 5: Stop looking!
- 9:44Speaker 3: The creature feeds off the bloody mound that used to
- 9:46Speaker 3: be the two men. Kevin whimpers.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Woojie. Woojie? Exactly.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Pronouncing it again, was it?
- 9:57Speaker 1: Woozy.
- 9:58Speaker 3: No, I know.
- 9:58Speaker 7: Sorry, next one.
- 10:01Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 10:02Speaker 4: Woozy.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Absolutely devastating. Perfect. Woo, woo, woozy. Ujai breathing. Ujai, ujai. Okay, great.
- 10:10Speaker 3: The creature feeds off the bloody mound that used to
- 10:13Speaker 3: be the two men. Kevin whimpers, woozy. Anita pants through her... Oh, man,
- 10:21Speaker 3: it's that part of the day.
- 10:24Speaker 5: All right. That is hard to say. So how about
- 10:27Speaker 5: we do it through her yoga breathing?
- 10:29Speaker 2: Call it yoga.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Okay. Anita pants through her yoga breathing.
- 10:34Speaker 5: We're almost there.
- 10:38Speaker 3: One grueling step at a time, she staggers on.
- 10:41Speaker 2: It's watching us.
- 10:43Speaker 3: Sure enough, the alien has eyes on them.
- 10:46Speaker 5: Alcohol hurts it.
- 10:47Speaker 6: It doesn't want us. Or rather, you.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Alien POV. Golden energy radiates off of Anita. But she's
- 10:58Speaker 3: covered by a dark mass. Kevin. Kevin sighs.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Not even an alien wants me.
- 11:07Speaker 6: Kevin, you may have a drinking problem.
- 11:11Speaker 2: You mean a drinking solution problem.
- 11:14Speaker 6: Oh my god, shut up!
- 11:18Speaker 3: Exterior, Gulfstream, G650ER, night. They arrive at Betty's door. Anita collapses.
- 11:26Speaker 3: They both tumble to the ground.
- 11:28Speaker 6: Hey!
- 11:29Speaker 3: She gets up and works the keypad. The automatic door
- 11:32Speaker 3: and stairs rumble down.
- 11:35Speaker 6: Okay, can you make it up the stairs?
- 11:36Speaker 2: Well, maybe. I'm not sure I can fly, though.
- 11:40Speaker 5: You think?
- 11:41Speaker 1: Don't worry.
- 11:44Speaker 6: I'm flying us out.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Kevin staggers to his feet, clutching his stomach. Gripping the railing,
- 11:49Speaker 3: he places a wobbly foot on the first step. Anita
- 11:52Speaker 3: looks around. It's quiet. Too quiet.
- 11:56Speaker 6: Okay, you're going to have to move faster than that.
- 11:59Speaker 2: I'd like to remind you that I got shot about
- 12:01Speaker 2: ten minutes ago. Buckle up. What are you doing?
- 12:05Speaker 3: Anita lowers her shoulder and then tush-push, Philly style. She
- 12:09Speaker 3: shoves him up the stairs.
- 12:13Speaker 6: Ah!
- 12:14Speaker 3: Interior, Gulfstream, G650ER, night. Oxygen masks dangle. Blood on every surface.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Mutilated bodies. A bottle of Spiritus vodka. Right where that
- 12:26Speaker 3: Arnie kid left it.
- 12:28Speaker 2: I don't want to be in here.
- 12:29Speaker 6: Me either.
- 12:32Speaker 3: He flicks off some kind of meat off his seat. Ew.
- 12:36Speaker 2: It has hair?
- 12:37Speaker 6: Just sit down.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Fine.
- 12:40Speaker 3: He plops down the best he can with a bullet
- 12:42Speaker 3: hole in his stomach. You don't look so good. Anita
- 12:47Speaker 3: kneels down. There's a swish as her knee lands on
- 12:50Speaker 3: another piece of something or someone. They lock eyes and cringe. Oh, man.
- 12:57Speaker 3: She buckles him in and holds his gaze.
- 13:00Speaker 6: We're getting out of here.
- 13:01Speaker 5: Everything will.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Daria stands, all smiles in the doorway.
- 13:06Speaker 5: We'll be fine, see? Positive affirmations do work. Thank you
- 13:11Speaker 5: for waiting for me. Now let's get out of here.
- 13:14Speaker 3: Taking in the gore fest on her beloved Betty.
- 13:17Speaker 5: Ugh, it's going to cost a fortune to clean this.
- 13:21Speaker 5: That's what you're concerned about? You shot Kevin!
- 13:24Speaker 3: Anita motions to tender Kevin.
- 13:26Speaker 5: It needed to be done. No offense, Kevin.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Um, quite a bit taken.
- 13:33Speaker 3: She shrugs to Anita.
- 13:36Speaker 5: Don't let me stop you. Let's go.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Anita rolls her eyes.
- 13:39Speaker 6: Don't you have another plane you can catch?
- 13:42Speaker 7: Unfortunately, Captain Riley... Well, you can surmise what happened to him.
- 13:47Speaker 7: The good news is you.
- 13:49Speaker 5: Get to fly me.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Daria looks around for a clean place to sit.
- 13:54Speaker 5: Anita, would you be a dear and find me something
- 13:55Speaker 5: clean to sit on? No.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Daria sighs and settles down. Kevin and Daria sit face
- 14:03Speaker 3: to face. Kevin glares at her.
- 14:05Speaker 2: By the way, I quit.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Whatever.
- 14:08Speaker 6: To Kansas City, then?
- 14:12Speaker 2: Yes, please.
- 14:13Speaker 6: Will you at least call ahead and have an ambulance
- 14:15Speaker 6: waiting for him?
- 14:18Speaker 5: I'll call my private medical team.
- 14:20Speaker 6: I'd feel better if he could go to a hospital.
- 14:22Speaker 5: No hospitals.
- 14:24Speaker 4: You're never going to get away with this. We are
- 14:26Speaker 4: at a fucking airport. There are cameras everywhere. Sweetie, you
- 14:32Speaker 4: can't be that naive.
- 14:33Speaker 5: I am a billionaire.
- 14:36Speaker 7: I already have people working on it. Cameras are being erased.
- 14:39Speaker 7: People paid off. When you see the good that will
- 14:42Speaker 7: come out of this, you'll understand.
- 14:45Speaker 3: Her gaze softens. It's more than a little creepy.
- 14:48Speaker 5: And I want you to know that I forgive you
- 14:54Speaker 5: for everything you've done to me.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Anita's voice drips with sarcasm.
- 14:58Speaker 6: Wow, thanks for that.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Daria ignores this. Interior cockpit night. Anita flies into the
- 15:09Speaker 3: pilot's chair, a flurry of movement.
- 15:12Speaker 6: Okay, you got this, you got this, you got this.
- 15:16Speaker 3: The engine roars to life. She places her hand on
- 15:19Speaker 3: the throttle to win.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Betty lurches. Shit.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Anita rockets from her seat. Interior, main cabin, night. A
- 15:30Speaker 3: breathless Anita appears in the doorway.
- 15:32Speaker 6: Uh, I think your buddy wants a ride.
- 15:36Speaker 5: Let it take along.
- 15:37Speaker 3: Anita's eyes blaze.
- 15:39Speaker 6: What if it gets in?
- 15:41Speaker 2: It won't.
- 15:42Speaker 5: We're safe in here, and.
- 15:44Speaker 2: And what?
- 15:45Speaker 3: Then it dawns on her.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 15:48Speaker 4: You're hoping it will hold on so you can salvage
- 15:50Speaker 4: your little project.
- 15:52Speaker 5: Well, what else are we gonna do? We can't run?
- 15:56Speaker 5: We might as well make something good out of all
- 15:58Speaker 5: of this.
- 15:59Speaker 6: You're like the bad guy in Aliens.
- 16:02Speaker 5: The cyborg guy?
- 16:03Speaker 2: Or Paul Rudd?
- 16:07Speaker 6: Paul Rudd? It's Paul Reiser!
- 16:09Speaker 5: You're the asshole company guy!
- 16:11Speaker 1: No, I'm not!
- 16:12Speaker 7: I'm not making any money off of this! Look what
- 16:16Speaker 7: I did to my favorite plane!
- 16:19Speaker 3: Daria waves the carnage.
- 16:23Speaker 5: Anita, I'm saving us. I'm saving humanity!
- 16:28Speaker 3: Daria points at her chest.
- 16:30Speaker 5: I'm Ripley!
- 16:31Speaker 7: Ripley!
- 16:32Speaker 3: Kevin scrunches his face.
- 16:34Speaker 2: I don't think I've ever seen aliens.
- 16:36Speaker 1: That's not the line.
- 16:38Speaker 5: That's not the line, but I love it.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Kevin scrunches his face.
- 16:42Speaker 2: I don't think you've seen aliens.
- 16:44Speaker 4: We can't take off with that thing hanging on the plane.
- 16:47Speaker 5: We should at least be able to get in the air.
- 16:49Speaker 5: We don't have far to go.
- 16:50Speaker 6: No, I'm not going to do it. It's suicide.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Daria pulls out Gutter's pistol and cocks it in Kevin's face.
- 16:59Speaker 5: Fly the fucking plane.
- 17:02Speaker 3: Anita seethes at her.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Three. What is it with you people in Countdown?
- 17:06Speaker 1: Two.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Daria's finger caresses the trigger. One.
- 17:10Speaker 6: Okay, okay, I'll do it.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Fuck.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Anita backs away.
- 17:15Speaker 6: Just don't hurt him.
- 17:16Speaker 7: If you do what I ask, we won't have a problem.
- 17:20Speaker 5: Now take us up.
- 17:23Speaker 3: Please. Interior cockpit night. Anita's face glistens with sweat. Through
- 17:30Speaker 3: the windscreen, runway lights line up, coaxing her into the sky.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Ujai breathing, enacted. She pushes the throttle forward and the
- 17:38Speaker 3: magnificent aircraft responds. Runway lights tick by fast, faster until
- 17:44Speaker 3: they are a blur. The plane lifts, lurches, and then
- 17:50Speaker 3: touches back down on the ground. Daria looms in the doorway,
- 17:54Speaker 3: spitting through gritted teeth.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Keep going! Keep going!
- 17:58Speaker 3: Anita sets her jaw but does what she's told. They
- 18:01Speaker 3: lift again. The runway lights sink away from them. The
- 18:05Speaker 3: plane jostles and teeters, but it is climbing. Stress rings
- 18:10Speaker 3: Anita's face while Daria closes her eyes and chants.
- 18:14Speaker 6: Everything will be fine. Everything will be fine.
- 18:17Speaker 5: Everything will be fine. Stop it.
- 18:20Speaker 6: It's so weird.
- 18:24Speaker 3: They level off at 16,500 feet. Daria spews a smirk.
- 18:29Speaker 5: I guess weird works.
- 18:32Speaker 3: And wheels out of the cockpit. Exterior Gulfstream night. Like
- 18:39Speaker 3: a giant squid, the alien wraps itself around the aircraft's tail.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Tentacles pulsating, elongating. Curious fibers grope along the lip of
- 18:48Speaker 3: the engine's fan before being sucked inside. Green sludge sprays
- 18:53Speaker 3: the side of the jet. Sheared off arms retreating to
- 18:56Speaker 3: the alien's body with a squeal. The engine sputters. It
- 19:00Speaker 3: goes black. The aircraft arcs to the left. Interior cockpit night.
- 19:09Speaker 3: Left engine fail message screams on the engine indicating a
- 19:13Speaker 3: crew alerting system. Eye cast display. The right side of
- 19:16Speaker 3: the dashboard drifts up.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Oh, shit.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Her eyes steely. Anita hits the fuel control switch to
- 19:24Speaker 3: off and pulls back on the throttle, slowing down the aircraft.
- 19:29Speaker 3: Then she gently pushes the yoke forward, and Betty's nose responds.
- 19:33Speaker 3: They descend.
- 19:34Speaker 7: Okay.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Daria bellows from the main cabin.
- 19:39Speaker 5: Anita! You better not be landing us!
- 19:43Speaker 3: Kevin limps in, grasping the walls for support. He hobbles
- 19:47Speaker 3: into the co-captain's chair.
- 19:49Speaker 6: We lost the left engine.
- 19:50Speaker 2: I see that. We need to increase the.
- 19:51Speaker 1: I know!
- 19:52Speaker 6: Max out the right one!
- 19:53Speaker 3: She sets the power level to the maximum continuous thrust, MCT, position.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Betty levels off.
- 19:59Speaker 2: What altitude are we at?
- 20:01Speaker 6: Approaching 8,500. I slowed us down to 180.
- 20:04Speaker 3: She works the yoke to the right, correcting the pull.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Wiped from exhaustion and pain, Kevin slumps in his seat.
- 20:11Speaker 6: Okay, good.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Okay, what we need to do is land.
- 20:15Speaker 6: What we really need to do is get rid of.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Daria appears in the doorway.
- 20:20Speaker 5: Don't let me stop you. You were saying?
- 20:23Speaker 7: You.
- 20:23Speaker 4: I was gonna say, get rid of you. It looks
- 20:27Speaker 4: like your monster baby killed one of our engines.
- 20:30Speaker 7: Oh, and here you are, handling the situation. I've always
- 20:33Speaker 7: seen the potential in you. With every obstacle, you not
- 20:37Speaker 7: only persevere, you thrive.
- 20:39Speaker 6: Oh, well, if only you would stop giving me so
- 20:42Speaker 6: many opportunities, that.
- 20:43Speaker 5: Would be great.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Daria clicks her tongue in disapproval.
- 20:49Speaker 5: So negative.
- 20:50Speaker 3: And leaves the cockpit. Kevin weakly muses.
- 20:53Speaker 2: I can't believe I used to work for her.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Exterior, Gulfstream, night. The nimble little limbs work into the
- 21:01Speaker 3: lip of the cargo door, pulling at its edges. Interior,
- 21:05Speaker 3: main cabin, night. Daria surveys her damaged plane. Oxygen masks dangling,
- 21:12Speaker 3: blood splatters, body parts.
- 21:15Speaker 5: All for the greater good.
- 21:18Speaker 3: Gliding to the liquor cabinet, Daria snags an unopened bottle
- 21:22Speaker 3: of vodka. Wind. Blam! A blast of air sucks everything
- 21:27Speaker 3: toward the back of the plane, including Daria. Tumbling halfway
- 21:33Speaker 3: down the aisle, she climbs into a seat and frantic
- 21:36Speaker 3: and straps herself in. Interior cockpit night. Sirens blare. Alarm
- 21:42Speaker 3: lights flare. Anita unbuckles herself, launching out of her seat.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Your control. Whoa, whoa, whoa, what? Where are you going?
- 21:49Speaker 2: We need to land. I can't do this.
- 21:51Speaker 6: I'll be back. Give me two minutes. I have an idea. Plus,
- 21:54Speaker 6: I should help her.
- 21:56Speaker 2: No, you shouldn't. She fucking shot me.
- 21:59Speaker 5: I know, I know.
- 22:01Speaker 3: But she's out of her seat anyway. Interior, main cabin, night.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Everything that wasn't bolted down is gone. Daria's panicked eyes
- 22:10Speaker 3: land on Anita. She yells.
- 22:13Speaker 5: I think it got in.
- 22:14Speaker 6: You think?
- 22:15Speaker 1: Oh, God.
- 22:16Speaker 3: Anita opens the liquor cabinet and fills her arms with
- 22:18Speaker 3: bottles of vodka. Daria screams over the howling wind.
- 22:22Speaker 5: What are you doing?
- 22:26Speaker 6: Come take some of these.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Why?
- 22:29Speaker 6: It doesn't like alcohol. It's why it wouldn't eat Kevin.
- 22:32Speaker 7: He's drunk.
- 22:33Speaker 5: No, I'm staying here.
- 22:35Speaker 6: Suit yourself.
- 22:36Speaker 3: With her arms full of spiritus, Anita moves closer to
- 22:39Speaker 3: the cockpit. Daria watches from her seat. Anita unscrews the
- 22:43Speaker 3: first bottle and pours it in a line, creating a barrier.
- 22:46Speaker 5: What are you doing? Stop that! These aren't free, you know!
- 22:50Speaker 5: So bill me!
- 22:51Speaker 3: Interior cockpit, night. Kevin's head rolls forward, face white.
- 22:56Speaker 2: He mumbles, Anita, hurry.
- 23:02Speaker 3: Interior main cabin, night. Alien appendages appear through the galley.
- 23:08Speaker 3: They stop. They pulsate but don't move forward. Daria unfastens
- 23:13Speaker 3: herself and dashes behind Anita.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Here.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Hands Daria a bottle.
- 23:18Speaker 6: Start pouring.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Daria grasps the bottle and does what she's told, sloshing
- 23:22Speaker 3: the liquor in an arc like Anita. Interior cockpit, night.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Kevin's eyes close, barely audible.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Anita.
- 23:34Speaker 3: His body slumps forward, landing on the yoke. Interior, main cabin, night.
- 23:46Speaker 3: The aircraft rolls down and to the left. Anita and
- 23:49Speaker 3: Daria fly through the air. Anita slams against a window.
- 23:53Speaker 3: Daria lands in the aisle. On the other side of
- 23:58Speaker 3: the alcohol boundary. In a flash, a moldy green arm
- 24:02Speaker 3: flies through the cabin. It coils around Daria's waist and
- 24:05Speaker 3: drags her toward the back.
- 24:07Speaker 7: No!
- 24:08Speaker 5: Anita, help me!
- 24:09Speaker 1: Daria!
- 24:11Speaker 3: The plane continues its plummet. Anita roars in the direction
- 24:14Speaker 3: of the cockpit. No answer from the cockpit. Anita hesitates. Torn.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Then.
- 24:23Speaker 5: I'm sorry, Daria. Anita!
- 24:28Speaker 3: Anita snags the last bottle and races back to the cockpit.
- 24:33Speaker 6: Bye, bitch.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Interior living room slash bedroom. Night. The alien towers over her.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Its flailing tentacles fill the room.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Please.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Please don't.
- 24:50Speaker 5: I'm sorry. Please don't.
- 24:53Speaker 3: At once, an avalanche of limbs swarms her body. They
- 24:57Speaker 3: weave through her mouth, her.
- 24:59Speaker 7: Ears, into her brain.
- 25:01Speaker 3: But not her eyes. No, her eyes remain wide open,
- 25:07Speaker 3: full of tears and terror. The creature edges toward her,
- 25:11Speaker 3: sliding closer, taunting her. The monster pulls Daria close, its
- 25:18Speaker 3: fanged cavern pulsating, tasting her horror. As it feeds on her,
- 25:23Speaker 3: it holds Daria up face to face. She's forced to
- 25:28Speaker 3: watch the creature's blank visage morph into a version of her. However,
- 25:33Speaker 3: instead of Daria's once lovely symmetry, this version is distorted.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Hideous. A monster.
- 25:43Speaker 3: Her own grotesque face is the last thing Daria ever sees.
- 25:48Speaker 3: In unison, two limbs jam into her eyes and rip
- 25:53Speaker 3: her skull in two. Interior cockpit night. Anita finds Kevin
- 26:03Speaker 3: crumpled at the wheel and pulls his body back into
- 26:06Speaker 3: his seat. She tucks the remaining vodka bottle next to him.
- 26:10Speaker 5: Hang in there, Kev.
- 26:11Speaker 3: Sliding into her seat... She corrects the yoke, regaining control,
- 26:16Speaker 3: then taps a few buttons, activating autopilot, aka George.
- 26:21Speaker 7: Kevin?
- 26:22Speaker 3: His head barely moves.
- 26:24Speaker 6: We have to go.
- 26:25Speaker 2: I don't feel so hot.
- 26:28Speaker 6: I know, I know. Listen, we have a few more
- 26:30Speaker 6: things to do, and then we'll get you some help.
- 26:32Speaker 2: It's almost over. Where are we landing?
- 26:35Speaker 3: She breathes out.
- 26:37Speaker 6: We're going to jump.
- 26:38Speaker 3: What?
- 26:39Speaker 6: What?
- 26:42Speaker 3: She doubles down.
- 26:43Speaker 6: It's the only way we can kill it.
- 26:46Speaker 2: I can't jump. Why can't we just land?
- 26:48Speaker 6: And then what, Kevin? It'll consume everything it sees. Innocent people.
- 26:53Speaker 5: It has to be destroyed.
- 26:55Speaker 6: Now stand up.
- 26:56Speaker 2: I can't.
- 26:57Speaker 6: I'll help you.
- 26:58Speaker 2: I promise.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Kevin nods at the bottle of alcohol.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Next to him. Look, if you drink this, it will
- 27:04Speaker 2: leave you alone, right? We'll be safe, and then we
- 27:06Speaker 2: can land.
- 27:07Speaker 6: No, it needs to die. Besides, I'm not going to
- 27:10Speaker 6: drink it.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Please. I won't.
- 27:13Speaker 3: With all the energy he can summon, Kevin screams at her.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Take a goddamn drink.
- 27:18Speaker 6: It'll kill me.
- 27:20Speaker 2: That thing will kill you.
- 27:21Speaker 6: Well, at least I have a chance. If I drink that,
- 27:24Speaker 6: I know I'll die.
- 27:25Speaker 2: Oh, don't be so dramatic.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Her voice breaks.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Kevin, it's the only thing I've ever done completely right.
- 27:32Speaker 3: The wind swirls around them. They stare each other down.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Exhausted and suffering, he gives in.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Fine, whatever. I'll shield you.
- 27:43Speaker 3: Kevin rolls out of his seat, vodka bottle in tow.
- 27:47Speaker 3: He takes a giant swig before handing it to her.
- 27:50Speaker 3: Anita steps behind him and gently wraps her arms around him.
- 27:53Speaker 3: He whispers.
- 27:55Speaker 2: I knew you were into me.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Anita whispers back.
- 28:01Speaker 6: I'm just using you for your body.
- 28:06Speaker 3: Interior, main cabin, night. Kevin staggers along with Anita supporting
- 28:10Speaker 3: him in an awkward embrace. The air current tugs at them,
- 28:14Speaker 3: dragging them toward the back. No sign of the creature.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Where is it?
- 28:18Speaker 6: I don't know, but keep moving.
- 28:20Speaker 3: I'm trying, I'm... He stumbles. Anita shoulders him.
- 28:25Speaker 6: Hey, hey, hey, we're almost there.
- 28:27Speaker 3: They trudge along, gale forces whipping at them. Interior, living
- 28:32Speaker 3: room slash bedroom, night. Next to her precious popcorn machine
- 28:38Speaker 3: lies Daria's body. The only way to tell it's her
- 28:41Speaker 3: is by her cashmere sweatpants. Kevin sees her first.
- 28:46Speaker 4: Oh, God.
- 28:48Speaker 3: Kevin's head lolls back, his legs crumbling beneath him. Anita
- 28:52Speaker 3: scrambles to hold him up.
- 28:54Speaker 5: Whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 28:55Speaker 3: He falls over, dead weight, leaving Anita exposed.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Kevin!
- 29:01Speaker 3: She checks his pulse.
- 29:03Speaker 6: Just out again.
- 29:05Speaker 3: Skirting the meat pile that was once Daria, Anita accidentally
- 29:08Speaker 3: steps on a piece of her scalp. Squish.
- 29:12Speaker 5: Damn it!
- 29:13Speaker 6: Does this look like everything's fine to you? I just
- 29:16Speaker 6: stepped on a piece of your fucking forehead.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Anita keeps moving through the interior aft bathroom night. Through
- 29:27Speaker 3: the whistling wind, slur, slur, slur. The creature hovers in
- 29:33Speaker 3: the doorway. breathing. Anita spins and douses it with the
- 29:39Speaker 3: rest of the vodka. The alien falls back, screaming. Anita
- 29:46Speaker 3: flings open the door to the interior cargo hold, not
- 29:51Speaker 3: a gaping hole where the door was. A violently flapping
- 29:55Speaker 3: cargo harness protects the only thing left in the room.
- 29:59Speaker 3: One parachute. Her face falls.
- 30:02Speaker 6: Ah, shit.
- 30:05Speaker 3: Anita grabs the harness. It flings her around the room,
- 30:09Speaker 3: beating her into the walls. She clutches it, weaving her
- 30:12Speaker 3: arms into the strap so she can reach, reach, reach.
- 30:19Speaker 3: Got it. She snatches the parachute rig and claws her
- 30:23Speaker 3: way back into the plane. Anita studies the harness closely. Interior,
- 30:29Speaker 3: aft bathroom, night. Anita runs with the parachute and cargo
- 30:33Speaker 3: harness at her chest. Interior, galley, night. Kevin hasn't moved.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Anita scours the kitchen. No sign of it. Hey. He moans.
- 30:46Speaker 2: Leave me.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Get up.
- 30:48Speaker 5: It's time.
- 30:48Speaker 7: No.
- 30:50Speaker 6: This isn't a discussion. I'm gonna put this.
- 30:52Speaker 4: On you, and then you're gonna give me everything you
- 30:55Speaker 4: fucking have and walk to that cargo hold.
- 30:57Speaker 6: You understand?
- 30:58Speaker 3: He whispers.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Understand.
- 31:02Speaker 3: She gets to work, weaving the harness on him. She
- 31:05Speaker 3: interlaces the straps through their bodies in the parachute. Kevin
- 31:08Speaker 3: in the back and Anita in the front. Sweat rolls
- 31:11Speaker 3: down Anita's brow.
- 31:13Speaker 6: Now get up.
- 31:14Speaker 3: Kevin groans. Anita pushes him.
- 31:17Speaker 6: No, I'm not leaving without you.
- 31:19Speaker 4: So if you die, I'm gonna die too. And I
- 31:21Speaker 4: promise I will be a bitch to you for eternity.
- 31:26Speaker 3: Eyes wild with pain. tethered together Anita and Kevin stumble
- 31:33Speaker 3: through the interior aft bathroom dawn into the interior cargo
- 31:40Speaker 3: hold dawn they made it the roar of the remaining
- 31:44Speaker 3: engine stammers and falls silent the wind.
- 31:48Speaker 6: Whistles I'm gonna back you out no.
- 31:54Speaker 3: I can't do this I can't you are doing this
- 31:58Speaker 3: They turn around, backing out. Without either engine, the airplane
- 32:02Speaker 3: slows down and begins its fall from the sky. They
- 32:06Speaker 3: reach the torn open door. Kevin makes the mistake of
- 32:09Speaker 3: looking at the ground 7,000 feet below. His eyes roll
- 32:13Speaker 3: back into his head. He's out again. Anita lurches forward,
- 32:19Speaker 3: the weight of Kevin falling on her. Alien POV. Bright
- 32:25Speaker 3: energy rises from Anita's form. tentacle torpedoes shearing off a
- 32:30Speaker 3: piece of her bicep she pushes back with all her
- 32:34Speaker 3: might trying to get the two of them through the
- 32:36Speaker 3: exit when another limb shoots grabbing her wrist yanking her
- 32:41Speaker 3: back in with her other hand Anita reaches into her
- 32:45Speaker 3: jacket or rather Kevin's jacket the lighter.
- 32:50Speaker 6: Have it your way you fucking monster it drags.
- 32:53Speaker 3: The two of them in nearer come on nearer. Hands
- 33:00Speaker 3: now tethered to her sides by the snake-like limbs winding
- 33:03Speaker 3: around her, Anita places her thumb on the flint wheel
- 33:07Speaker 3: and snaps. It ignites, and the wind snuffs it out.
- 33:14Speaker 3: The jaws of its mouth vibrate with excitement. Anita leans in,
- 33:17Speaker 3: and with one last effort, flick a flame.
- 33:23Speaker 4: I'm fucking Ripley, you bitch!
- 33:26Speaker 3: She hurls the lighter at the alien. In slow-mo, light
- 33:31Speaker 3: him up on Kevin Zippo cartwheels end over end. It
- 33:35Speaker 3: lands in the alien's rippling mouth. Nothing.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Huh?
- 33:41Speaker 3: Then, the monster's face shifts as if melting. The 190
- 33:48Speaker 3: proof alcohol ignites the monster. It expels Anita. and turns
- 33:52Speaker 3: its limbs on itself, devouring its own burning flesh. Anita
- 33:57Speaker 3: stumbles back, pushing them both out of the plane.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Whoa!
- 34:02Speaker 3: Exterior, Gulfstream, G650.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Whoa!
- 34:03Speaker 6: Exterior, Gulfstream, G650ER, dawn.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Hurdling to Earth. Earth.
- 34:20Speaker 3: Anita watches the creature consume itself. Its body grows, quickly
- 34:25Speaker 3: filling the cargo room. Limbs swell until they pop. It balloons,
- 34:30Speaker 3: bulging against the cargo door. Anita yanks the parachute cord,
- 34:34Speaker 3: and they shoot up and away from the plunging plane.
- 34:38Speaker 3: The alien's ear-splitting cry slices through the air.
- 34:43Speaker 7: Then.
- 34:44Speaker 3: Betty explodes and smashes into the ground. Day two. Exterior.
- 34:52Speaker 3: A field near Columbia, Missouri. Dawn. Anita works to free
- 34:56Speaker 3: them from the parachute entanglement. Kevin wails.
- 34:59Speaker 2: No!
- 35:00Speaker 5: I'm trying to be careful.
- 35:01Speaker 6: Sorry.
- 35:02Speaker 3: He mumbles.
- 35:03Speaker 2: We made it? I heard too much to be dead. Yeah.
- 35:08Speaker 2: We made it. I don't remember anything after seeing these swallows.
- 35:11Speaker 2: I guess that was Daria.
- 35:15Speaker 6: You were very brave.
- 35:17Speaker 2: I'm sure I was.
- 35:19Speaker 3: In the distance, emergency vehicles speed down a dusty gravel road.
- 35:24Speaker 2: They got here fast.
- 35:25Speaker 6: No, they're not here for us. The crash site must
- 35:28Speaker 6: be pretty close.
- 35:29Speaker 5: I'll call them.
- 35:30Speaker 3: She slides her phone from Kevin's jacket pocket.
- 35:33Speaker 2: You still have your phone?
- 35:35Speaker 6: It's even charged.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Any chance my smokes are in there too?
- 35:39Speaker 3: She checks the pockets. Comes up with a mangled pack
- 35:42Speaker 3: of Marlboros. She hands one over to him. He places
- 35:46Speaker 3: the bent cigarette in the corner of his mouth.
- 35:48Speaker 2: Lighter, please.
- 35:50Speaker 6: Um, about that.
- 35:53Speaker 2: You have your phone, but you lost my lighter?
- 35:56Speaker 6: It's kind of a long story.
- 35:59Speaker 2: You'll have plenty of time to tell me when we're
- 36:01Speaker 2: at that charity dinner.
- 36:04Speaker 6: You never give up, do you?
- 36:06Speaker 2: Nope, I don't. But thank God, neither do you.
- 36:11Speaker 3: He sighs.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Oh, I do have to tell you something, though. What's that?
- 36:18Speaker 3: Kevin takes more than a moment.
- 36:22Speaker 2: I'm married.
- 36:23Speaker 4: What?
- 36:25Speaker 2: Just fucking with you.
- 36:26Speaker 3: Ugh.
- 36:27Speaker 5: You really are the worst.
- 36:30Speaker 3: Kevin grins.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Merry Christmas, Anita.
- 36:34Speaker 3: She sends him back her genuine smile and rests her
- 36:36Speaker 3: head on his shoulder. Together, they watch the flashing lights
- 36:40Speaker 3: race down the road. Exterior. A nearby field in Missouri.
- 36:46Speaker 3: A little later. 30 or so workers hose down the
- 36:50Speaker 3: steaming plane. The once glorious jet, now a smoldering tangle
- 36:55Speaker 3: of metal. Deep in Betty's rubble, the tiniest of tremors.
- 37:04Speaker 3: The end.
