- 0:20Speaker 1: Hey everyone, welcome to bless this Mess on the True
- 0:22Speaker 1: Crump podcast. I'm care here's do say Heystu, Hi, all right,
- 0:25Speaker 1: we're back this week and we are going to Texas. Yes, Texas.
- 0:30Speaker 1: We are back from our cruise. Remind me, everybody, next
- 0:36Speaker 1: time I say I'm going to book a cruise, say Kara,
- 0:39Speaker 1: you stop. You stop that now, you stop that nonsense.
- 0:43Speaker 1: So them cruises are not for you because I said
- 0:46Speaker 1: this last time, yet I did it. Anyways, I'm not
- 0:49Speaker 1: counting the Disney cruise because the Disney cruise was just
- 0:52Speaker 1: for the children to meet the mouse, you know. But
- 0:57Speaker 1: next time, I'm just booking a cruise just for vacation.
- 1:00Speaker 1: You say, no, no, no, Kara, no no, no no. You and
- 1:04Speaker 1: people are not a good mix. Yes, I looked at
- 1:09Speaker 1: it that we were walking like everything that has lots
- 1:13Speaker 1: of people just slowly becomes my worst nightmare. At the
- 1:16Speaker 1: buffet looking out into the pools and there's like fifty
- 1:21Speaker 1: people in this small pool, and I'm thinking, God, if
- 1:24Speaker 1: my only options were to swim in that or never
- 1:26Speaker 1: swim again, I'm choosing never swimming. Like I'm it's disgusting.
- 1:31Speaker 1: And then I see, I'll see like ten people in
- 1:33Speaker 1: a hot tub.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Dish.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Yes, they're always worried about the kids and everything like that.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I'm like, no, all these people are drinking and are
- 1:41Speaker 1: not leaving this pool. Where do you think they get
- 1:46Speaker 1: the pee in pool?
- 1:48Speaker 2: So in the ool?
- 1:50Speaker 1: Yeah, So it's just not for me. People are just disgusting.
- 1:53Speaker 1: And so then I start observing people and then I
- 1:55Speaker 1: start seeing how disgusting they are, and then I just
- 1:58Speaker 1: become grossed out and like I don't want to leave
- 2:00Speaker 1: the room. I don't want to do anything. So yeah,
- 2:04Speaker 1: next time in a book, a cruise, it's a big note.
- 2:07Speaker 1: It's a big note for me. I did get to
- 2:10Speaker 1: see Papa Bear though, Oh yes, I mean so I
- 2:15Speaker 1: joined always joined the Facebook cruise group or whatever, and
- 2:18Speaker 1: there's this guy that was in artist and he was
- 2:20Speaker 1: Papa Bear and he was like Papa Bear, the man,
- 2:23Speaker 1: the myth, the legend, and so he was always posting
- 2:28Speaker 1: the group and he was like posted when leading up
- 2:31Speaker 1: to going on the cruise, and so you're supposed to
- 2:33Speaker 1: come asking for a bear and he'll give you like
- 2:36Speaker 1: a little bear, makes you reach in his pocket and
- 2:40Speaker 1: get the bear knock.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Only to find out there's a hole in the pocket.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I'm kidding. I don't know if that's I never I
- 2:47Speaker 1: did not go ask him for a bear, because I'm
- 2:48Speaker 1: one of these people that I become obsessed with something
- 2:50Speaker 1: like something. But I'm not actually gonna go interact. I'm
- 2:54Speaker 1: just gonna watch from a distance, you know. And so anyway,
- 2:58Speaker 1: so Papa Bear, he's posting this cruise group. I mean,
- 3:01Speaker 1: I wish I had the confidence of Papa Bear. Stu
- 3:05Speaker 1: he posted his pre cruise meal. He he he posted
- 3:09Speaker 1: his hotel room, and you thought he the way he
- 3:11Speaker 1: was posting and taking pictures, you thought he was staying
- 3:13Speaker 1: at the Ritz Carlton or something. He was at like
- 3:16Speaker 1: a holiday in Express taking pictures. He had his leg
- 3:21Speaker 1: up on the coffee table in the hotel room taking
- 3:25Speaker 1: a picture. Anyway, So then I told you, I was like,
- 3:27Speaker 1: we gotta watch out for Papa Bear. I was like,
- 3:29Speaker 1: but we're not gonna interact, We're just gonna I just
- 3:31Speaker 1: want to see him. And so Stu actually saw him
- 3:34Speaker 1: first because I talked about him so much, but I
- 3:37Speaker 1: did finally I finally saw him in person, and so
- 3:40Speaker 1: I was like, slightly like taking videos, good creepy.
- 3:45Speaker 2: I can't believe you're telling other people I know podcast.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Yes, if you know Papa Bear, please do not tell
- 3:52Speaker 1: him about this because I do not want to actually
- 3:55Speaker 1: interact with him. I just wanted to observe him from
- 3:57Speaker 1: a distance, like.
- 3:59Speaker 2: In the world, like national geographics.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Yes, this is a national geographic situation for me. So anyways,
- 4:06Speaker 1: but we had the kids had fun. I mean, it's
- 4:09Speaker 1: not that I had to have a bad time on it,
- 4:11Speaker 1: it's just it's just not for me. With the amount
- 4:14Speaker 1: of people. I don't like that many people crowded it up.
- 4:18Speaker 1: So anyway, so that's our cruise story for this week.
- 4:22Speaker 1: We will not talk about it anymore during the episode
- 4:25Speaker 1: probably most likely, most likely, But so check us out
- 4:30Speaker 1: on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok. I guess I don't really do
- 4:36Speaker 1: that one, but rate review, subscribe on iTunes. Oh it's
- 4:41Speaker 1: not iTunes anymore, it's Apple or whatever, Apple Podcasts or something. Yeah, anyways,
- 4:46Speaker 1: five stars only you can say mean things about us
- 4:49Speaker 1: in the comments, Yes, but just give us the five stars.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Staffy Yeah, who Stephie with their three stars?
- 4:56Speaker 1: Like, if you're going to rate three stars, why bother?
- 4:58Speaker 2: Well, st there's nothing we can do about the the
- 5:02Speaker 2: ads when they start when they stop.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Oh she's upset about the ads.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess they come in. Belo.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Listen, guys, I want to tell you something.
- 5:09Speaker 2: We have zero control over the ads.
- 5:10Speaker 1: We don't. I mean we have, but I'm going to
- 5:14Speaker 1: tell you guys. I'm just going to tell you guys. Look,
- 5:16Speaker 1: we are not becoming rich off this podcast. So yes,
- 5:21Speaker 1: we have advertisements to try to make a little bit
- 5:25Speaker 1: off of it. Coffee money, Yeah, make them like coffee
- 5:28Speaker 1: money or something. But we trust me, we are not
- 5:31Speaker 1: making a bunch of money off ads. Trust me on
- 5:34Speaker 1: that trust. Anyways, So if you're upset about the ads, uh,
- 5:38Speaker 1: become a Patreon. Pay three dollars a month you don't
- 5:40Speaker 1: get the ads. There you go, solution.
- 5:43Speaker 2: We'll get like five thousand patreons.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Then then you don't even have to listen to the ads.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Then we can get rid of the ads.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Yeah. So anyways, Yeah, that's a good plug for Patreon.
- 5:54Speaker 1: If you don't want the ads, you want it twenty
- 5:56Speaker 1: four hours early, then become a patron.
- 6:00Speaker 2: All right. I mean you can complain about the ads.
- 6:03Speaker 2: I just need you to upgrade that to five stars.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Yeah, you can complain about the ads. The thing about yeah,
- 6:09Speaker 1: that has nothing personally to do with us. No one
- 6:12Speaker 1: called me wheezy or a bitch, or or that I'm
- 6:17Speaker 1: just like browbeating you or rude or whatever else. All
- 6:21Speaker 1: the things that were wrong with me there for a while.
- 6:23Speaker 2: There's a lot of things wrong with you.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Okay, starting with who I'm married? Wow, all right, so
- 6:31Speaker 1: let's go ahead and get into this week's episode out
- 6:34Speaker 1: of Texas.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Hey, hihs.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Yes, and I watched an episode of Married to Evil?
- 6:42Speaker 1: Those are those don't play those?
- 6:45Speaker 2: Are? They?
- 6:46Speaker 1: Kind of? Yeah? And they really suck you in with
- 6:50Speaker 1: It's like a slow build up, you know, and everything.
- 6:53Speaker 1: So I highly recommend that series.
- 6:57Speaker 2: So.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Olivia Jones was one of five children growing up in Texas.
- 7:02Speaker 1: She was the oldest. She was very caring, and she
- 7:05Speaker 1: was described as beautiful both inside and out. Her nickname
- 7:08Speaker 1: was Fabulous Olivia Fabulous because she would have like, you know,
- 7:13Speaker 1: like the cute swimsuit, you know, imagine the picture on
- 7:16Speaker 1: a lounge chair with your you know, your stylish sunglasses
- 7:20Speaker 1: and your cute swimsuit and a little cocktail in your hand,
- 7:24Speaker 1: everything and just looking fabulous. So she was that. She
- 7:28Speaker 1: was always had her nails done, always put together and
- 7:31Speaker 1: everything like that. So that was her nickname was Fabulous Olivia.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Now she was the quintessential big sister. She even had
- 7:39Speaker 1: her so her brother who was the next in line
- 7:42Speaker 1: in the children, whenever it was time for him to
- 7:45Speaker 1: move out, she even had him move in with her,
- 7:47Speaker 1: helped him fill out job applications, like took him under
- 7:50Speaker 1: a wing, just kind of show him the ways of
- 7:52Speaker 1: the world, you know. And so she was just that
- 7:55Speaker 1: kind of big sister, always looking out for And now
- 7:57Speaker 1: that we have children, I see how that happened because,
- 8:02Speaker 1: like you know, they always joke about the oldest or whatever,
- 8:04Speaker 1: not the oldest in in my for me and my siblings.
- 8:09Speaker 2: That didn't happen.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Listen, listen, Okay, we're not going to get into my family.
- 8:17Speaker 1: But that's a lot of muskogie trash going on with that.
- 8:23Speaker 1: If we if still always is always in shock about
- 8:26Speaker 1: the things I tell him. It's like, why didn't you
- 8:30Speaker 1: tell me this before I married you? All right, So
- 8:34Speaker 1: but I see how it happens because our daughters like that.
- 8:36Speaker 1: We it's it just happens because they're the you know,
- 8:40Speaker 1: they got the younger siblings, and so they always get
- 8:43Speaker 1: asked like Hey, watch out for your brother, hold your
- 8:45Speaker 1: brother's hand, watch out for sissy, you know, and stuff
- 8:48Speaker 1: like that, and we sometimes I feel bad I'm having
- 8:51Speaker 1: to do that, but it's also just kind of like life.
- 8:53Speaker 1: You know, it's just being part of a family.
- 8:55Speaker 2: You know, that's what you do.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Ye look out for each other. And then one day
- 9:00Speaker 1: he's gonna be like taller than her and bigger than her,
- 9:03Speaker 1: and he can, you know, watch out for her too.
- 9:05Speaker 1: They're only eighteen months apart, so they're going to be
- 9:11Speaker 1: or hate each other either way. Yep. So anyway, so
- 9:15Speaker 1: she's Olivia's was described as having like a business mindset,
- 9:19Speaker 1: and she would be agin working like a little tax business,
- 9:23Speaker 1: and it actually would become pretty successful. She was always
- 9:26Speaker 1: she was always a hard worker. So she married her
- 9:29Speaker 1: high school sweetheart and in nineteen ninety nine they started
- 9:33Speaker 1: their family. She had her first daughter, Ariel, and then
- 9:37Speaker 1: several years later they had a second daughter named Yaliah now.
- 9:42Speaker 1: But soon after that second child was born, her marriage
- 9:45Speaker 1: began to fall apart and that would end in divorce.
- 9:49Speaker 1: She was very upset about this divorce because you know,
- 9:51Speaker 1: it's high school sweetheart. They've been together, I think close
- 9:55Speaker 1: to ten or eleven years, like married and everything, and
- 9:59Speaker 1: you know, it's just not the way that her she
- 10:02Speaker 1: thought her life would go. Now she's thirty, she's in
- 10:06Speaker 1: her thirties, having to start over and everything like that.
- 10:09Speaker 1: But her daughter said that their childhood was really great,
- 10:13Speaker 1: even though you know, going through the divorce and everything.
- 10:16Speaker 1: She would always take the girls camping and go to
- 10:19Speaker 1: water parks and just having a really good time. And
- 10:21Speaker 1: she was just a really good mom, always doing these
- 10:24Speaker 1: things with them. Now, her family, even though you know,
- 10:27Speaker 1: she just goten divorced and everything like that, her family
- 10:30Speaker 1: really encouraged her to start dating and trying to find someone.
- 10:34Speaker 1: And because she's still I mean, she was thirty eight, young,
- 10:37Speaker 1: good looking and everything that had a lot of life
- 10:40Speaker 1: ahead of her. Her daughter, I think was her youngest daughter,
- 10:43Speaker 1: was only one or so around that time. So why
- 10:47Speaker 1: Olivia is living in Beaumont, Texas. She has her family
- 10:50Speaker 1: and everyone around her. But she, you know, she starts
- 10:52Speaker 1: dating and in the spring of two thousand and nine,
- 10:55Speaker 1: she meets Christopher Jones and they hit it off and
- 11:00Speaker 1: they start dating each other.
- 11:02Speaker 2: So it's usually what happens.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I know, I don't know why I said it I
- 11:06Speaker 1: don't know why. I feel like I've said the word
- 11:09Speaker 1: dating too much, so then I started to think about
- 11:12Speaker 1: what I was saying, and then then there was no
- 11:15Speaker 1: other word to say. Courting each other, drink, courting each other.
- 11:21Speaker 1: I don't know anyway, So Chris seemed like a good
- 11:24Speaker 1: fit for Olivia. He had a stable job, which was
- 11:27Speaker 1: great because again, remember she's a hard worker, she's starting
- 11:29Speaker 1: her own business, she's on her way. He has a
- 11:32Speaker 1: job as a Texas State prison guard. So Olivia's family
- 11:37Speaker 1: finds out about Chris, and they were excited about him.
- 11:39Speaker 1: You know, just Rob the Batch, you're assuming Texas State
- 11:42Speaker 1: prison guard, good guy, protective. You know, you would just
- 11:48Speaker 1: think they would be a good person or whatever. I mean,
- 11:52Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know how people no to
- 11:56Speaker 1: compare that to, but I always see like on locked
- 12:01Speaker 1: up and stuff, I'm like, how these people become I mean, like,
- 12:03Speaker 1: I don't know how they do it because the pay isn't,
- 12:06Speaker 1: you know, exceptional, I don't think. But it's such hard work.
- 12:11Speaker 1: I mean, I would think you'd have it's it's almost
- 12:14Speaker 1: it's you almost have like to have a want to
- 12:18Speaker 1: help people, you know, or things like that. I mean,
- 12:20Speaker 1: even though they're prisoners, that just.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Wants to punish them.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Well, yeah, and that's maybe where we're headed with this one.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Olivia's family would finally get to meet Chris because she
- 12:32Speaker 1: brought him to one of their family Sunday football get togethers.
- 12:36Speaker 1: And this was something they did every single Sunday after church.
- 12:40Speaker 1: They would all meet up at one of their houses
- 12:42Speaker 1: and they would watch football all day, like it would
- 12:44Speaker 1: go tell ten pm at night, you know, because there's
- 12:46Speaker 1: fifty million games. Yes, Monday noon Sunday night football. Ye,
- 12:53Speaker 1: what's the Espen game ESPN?
- 12:56Speaker 2: Yes, I think that's Monday nights now.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Oh oh they get a special game just on ESPN
- 13:02Speaker 1: and no place else, Yes, they did, so. Yeah, so
- 13:07Speaker 1: he goes to this there. You know, it's just a
- 13:09Speaker 1: really good family event they have. They eat tons of
- 13:12Speaker 1: food and everyone brings something. I mean, it sounds like
- 13:15Speaker 1: a good time.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Now.
- 13:17Speaker 1: The family was not sure of what to make of
- 13:19Speaker 1: Chris after meeting him in person. Again, they had a
- 13:22Speaker 1: good impression just from hearing about him, but once they
- 13:25Speaker 1: met him, he just kind of did some weird things.
- 13:29Speaker 1: And one of the things that stuck out to them
- 13:31Speaker 1: was when he was offered food by Olivia's mom. He
- 13:35Speaker 1: told Olivia that she could go fix him a plate
- 13:39Speaker 1: instead of just you know, getting up and making himself
- 13:44Speaker 1: or saying, oh yeah, where's the food or whatever. I mean,
- 13:46Speaker 1: cause it was a self serve situation. I mean, you're
- 13:48Speaker 1: at a family buffet type thing, so you just turn
- 13:52Speaker 1: turn into your girlfriend and you say, why don't you
- 13:54Speaker 1: get on up and fix me a plate? And so
- 13:57Speaker 1: some of the family members are like, eh, I don't
- 13:59Speaker 1: want care about it, but maybe he's just kind of
- 14:01Speaker 1: old fashioned or nervous or something like that and everything.
- 14:05Speaker 1: What's do do you not see a problem with this?
- 14:08Speaker 2: Why don't you get it and fix me a Why
- 14:09Speaker 2: don't you go fuck yourself?
- 14:12Speaker 1: And that would have been the appropriate response. Now, like
- 14:16Speaker 1: I said, it wasn't too crazy request. So they didn't
- 14:18Speaker 1: make a big ordeal about it or anything like that.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Didn't didn't bring it to Olivia's attention or anything. I mean,
- 14:25Speaker 1: it wasn't that that out there. But Ariel, the daughter,
- 14:29Speaker 1: she did, she's the oldest daughter, and she just didn't
- 14:32Speaker 1: like Chris from the very start. She said he just
- 14:34Speaker 1: seemed off to her and very irrogant.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Did not like him. Yeah, according to her, So, yeah,
- 14:41Speaker 2: she wasn't gonna be like hell dad, none of that.
- 14:45Speaker 1: No, she didn't. Well he I mean, as we tell
- 14:48Speaker 1: the story, it's very clear he's not a good person.
- 14:52Speaker 2: And that Ariel has some radar on going on. Yeah,
- 14:55Speaker 2: she can detect shitty people.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean you're not going to be able to
- 14:59Speaker 1: I mean kids can I feel like kids and like
- 15:02Speaker 1: was it kids? And dogs can like know when somebody's
- 15:07Speaker 1: that's what they say, that's what they say, Stu.
- 15:12Speaker 2: A while, these kids get in the bands with the candy,
- 15:14Speaker 2: well not all.
- 15:15Speaker 1: I mean sometimes they're tooty.
- 15:17Speaker 2: We don't know a butterfly.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Tooty's our son, that's what we call him. Can you
- 15:24Speaker 1: call him tooty? He's a tuty.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Well, soon after they start dating, the red flags really
- 15:32Speaker 2: start flying and it's not a circus.
- 15:35Speaker 1: As Stu said, you said that, you said that last episode.
- 15:38Speaker 2: So yes, I thought it was like episodes.
- 15:41Speaker 1: I said, there was there was a there was lots
- 15:44Speaker 1: of red flags and you're like yeah, and they he
- 15:46Speaker 1: thought it was a circus. And then I said, red
- 15:50Speaker 1: flags just look like flags when you got your rose
- 15:52Speaker 1: colored glasses on. And I thought that was very profound
- 15:55Speaker 1: for me.
- 15:56Speaker 2: To say that that was last episode.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Uh, yes, I believe, So you're.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Gonna have to go back check. You know, the Apple
- 16:04Speaker 2: podcast actually has transcripts. Now they transcribe your entire podcast.
- 16:08Speaker 1: I know they shouldn't do that. They shouldn't. Plus due
- 16:14Speaker 1: to our I would. I don't think I have an accent,
- 16:17Speaker 1: but apparently you know TikTok and Apple and Instagram because
- 16:21Speaker 1: they sometimes they can't understand a word I'm saying. When
- 16:23Speaker 1: I try to do the captions, I have to go
- 16:27Speaker 1: through and fix those things, and then I get frustrated
- 16:29Speaker 1: and just turn them off because I try to do
- 16:32Speaker 1: captions because not everybody listen. Like when you're scrolling on
- 16:34Speaker 1: Instagram or TikTok, you may not be able to have
- 16:36Speaker 1: the volume up so you want to, but I like
- 16:38Speaker 1: to be able to read the captions. Plus, I've just
- 16:41Speaker 1: turned into a caption. I'm at that age where I
- 16:43Speaker 1: need a caption on the TV. Like, once you go captions,
- 16:47Speaker 1: you can't go back to.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Is this true?
- 16:49Speaker 1: Yes, I've turned them captions on the TV one time
- 16:52Speaker 1: like this, there is no other way to live, no
- 16:55Speaker 1: other way.
- 16:55Speaker 2: I have not turned them on since we got our
- 16:57Speaker 2: new service provider oh you haven't.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Well, I haven't been watching the TV, though I watched.
- 17:01Speaker 1: I watched all my stuff on Peacock and Discovery like
- 17:07Speaker 1: my sister wives, but those all have captions.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Can we continue, Yeah, we can continue.
- 17:16Speaker 1: You're just awkwardly pausing.
- 17:18Speaker 2: I'm not pausing, You're just rambling.
- 17:21Speaker 1: I was just talking about caption, Stewart.
- 17:23Speaker 2: I know what you were talking about.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Here's your caption.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Oh damn. That was the middle finger for those of
- 17:28Speaker 2: you can't antsy, which is all of you.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Okay, back to our story. Olivia and Chris are out
- 17:41Speaker 2: on a date. Some of Olivia's family members were at
- 17:45Speaker 2: the same restaurant slash bar at the time, which was.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Her brother and sister in law and her brother. Yeah,
- 17:54Speaker 1: her sister in law's name is Brittany.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Now, Olivia and Chris went to the restaurant, ran into
- 18:00Speaker 2: a woman that Chris used to date. This woman, she
- 18:04Speaker 2: got together with two other friends of hers, and they
- 18:07Speaker 2: actually attacked Olivia. They just jumped her in the damn bar.
- 18:12Speaker 2: According to Brittany, Chris saw what was happening, he did
- 18:15Speaker 2: not intervene. In fact, he started laughing as they took
- 18:19Speaker 2: the one girl took off her shoe and started beating
- 18:21Speaker 2: Olivia with her shoe. Yeah, like, who does that? The
- 18:26Speaker 2: police were called.
- 18:27Speaker 1: But I need some clear They didn't really clarify the story.
- 18:30Speaker 1: But I'm where's the brother, where's the sister in law?
- 18:32Speaker 1: Where's the family? I don't but maybe they were more
- 18:35Speaker 1: involved in it than she made it, you know, seem
- 18:38Speaker 1: I don't.
- 18:39Speaker 2: I don't know. It seemed like the sister in law
- 18:40Speaker 2: kind of glossed over a lot of the stuff, like,
- 18:42Speaker 2: we don't want to get involved in Olivia's shit, so
- 18:45Speaker 2: we were like here watching this go down. Yeah, oh man,
- 18:48Speaker 2: that's terrible.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Yeah, but maybe she just for time's sake, they just
- 18:52Speaker 1: edited out, but.
- 18:53Speaker 2: I would hope. So, yeah, the police were called. Anne
- 18:57Speaker 2: Olivia's family members took her to the call to calm
- 19:00Speaker 2: her down and help her with her wounds because she
- 19:02Speaker 2: was actually bleeding because they gave her an ass whooping.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Olivia's family encouraged her to press charges, but Chris asked
- 19:10Speaker 2: her not to press charges due to him working at
- 19:13Speaker 2: the prison, he didn't want no spotlights on him. Olivia
- 19:16Speaker 2: ultimately did what Chris wanted, which she should have broke
- 19:21Speaker 2: up with his ass right then and there another incident
- 19:25Speaker 2: the family witness happened was at a park. Olivia was
- 19:28Speaker 2: there with her two girls, her brother, his wife, Brittany,
- 19:33Speaker 2: and their kids. Olivia's phone kept ringing and ringing and ringing.
- 19:37Speaker 2: It was like ringing back to back to back to
- 19:39Speaker 2: back to back. Her brother noticed this, he thought it
- 19:42Speaker 2: was odd, didn't mention it, and as Olivia was about
- 19:46Speaker 2: to leave and had gotten into her car with her children,
- 19:50Speaker 2: when a red pickup came flying into the parking lot.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Chris hops out and he starts pounding on Olivia's window.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Her brother ran over there to stop him, but Brittany
- 20:01Speaker 2: was holding him back, and she threatened Chris that she
- 20:04Speaker 2: was going to call nine to one one. Chris, hearing
- 20:08Speaker 2: this stop beating on the window, jumped back in his
- 20:11Speaker 2: truck and then he sped off. Olivia refused to speak
- 20:14Speaker 2: about the incident, and she just shut down Withdrew from
- 20:17Speaker 2: the family. She didn't talk to him.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Well, she's probably embarrassed, yes, because any normal person that
- 20:25Speaker 1: next time someone like, why are you still with this person?
- 20:28Speaker 2: Yeah, that's why she didn't talk to him for a year.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Yes, So she completely just Withdrew and probably out of
- 20:35Speaker 1: embarrassment and shame that she was keeping this guy around
- 20:38Speaker 1: when he was clearly off his rocker. Yeah.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Meanwhile, Olivia and Chris told her daughters that they were
- 20:47Speaker 2: going to go to counseling and that this type of
- 20:51Speaker 2: behavior would never happen again. Unfortunately, it seemed that Olivia
- 20:55Speaker 2: was in love, so deep in love that she was
- 20:58Speaker 2: pushing her family away to be she thought.
- 21:00Speaker 1: She was in love. I mean, you're not this guy.
- 21:05Speaker 1: This isn't She's mistaking control for love, and that's what
- 21:10Speaker 1: the sister in law said as well. She was for
- 21:12Speaker 1: some reason she saw him controlling her as him loving her,
- 21:16Speaker 1: and then she's reciprocating. You know, I don't know why
- 21:22Speaker 1: she stayed with him whenever. It was early on and
- 21:26Speaker 1: you know, right to get out.
- 21:28Speaker 2: But the family members that did not witness as Chris
- 21:31Speaker 2: as what the hell did I just say, that did
- 21:34Speaker 2: not witness Chris's behavior, thought he was just a nice guy,
- 21:38Speaker 2: and in July twenty fourteen, they were excited when he
- 21:42Speaker 2: proposed to Olivia.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Which I'm assuming he's like every other abusive person. He
- 21:47Speaker 1: has these outburst and then he's super charming, super I'm
- 21:53Speaker 1: so sorry, you know, charms the mom charms the rest
- 21:56Speaker 1: of the family. So then whenever the brother and sister
- 22:00Speaker 1: like this guy's nuts, they're like, oh, oh, Chris, he's
- 22:05Speaker 1: just quirky. He's just got that. He went to counseling.
- 22:09Speaker 1: He's fine, he's getting his anger under control. He's fine.
- 22:11Speaker 1: You know, It's just one of those things. That's what
- 22:13Speaker 1: they do. So I'm sure he was very charismatic around
- 22:16Speaker 1: them whenever he was not, you know, trying to break
- 22:20Speaker 1: windows in.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Yeah. But anyway, so brother and sister in law still
- 22:29Speaker 2: don't like him.
- 22:30Speaker 1: No, she found out shut Yeah, well she they found
- 22:33Speaker 1: out on like Facebook or something that they were engaged.
- 22:36Speaker 1: So it wasn't it wasn't like she was you know. Still,
- 22:40Speaker 1: I don't think that they were super close at that time.
- 22:42Speaker 1: So she finds out, But I mean, what what are
- 22:44Speaker 1: you going to do if it's been years and you're
- 22:46Speaker 1: just I mean, what are you going to do? You know,
- 22:49Speaker 1: if someone's dead, said on being with this person, and
- 22:53Speaker 1: I'm not Stu thinks I'm victim blake. He said, I'm
- 22:58Speaker 1: not saying that. I'm just saying that she was under
- 23:00Speaker 1: his spell of that. I mean, there's millions of people
- 23:07Speaker 1: that are in abusive relationships, and they say the same thing.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I've never been in one, so I don't know, Stuart,
- 23:14Speaker 1: you were shut up, So I've never been in one,
- 23:18Speaker 1: so I don't know. But they say it's very difficult
- 23:22Speaker 1: to get out of them, and they do the whole thing.
- 23:24Speaker 1: They play mind tricks on you. They're horrible to you,
- 23:27Speaker 1: and then they're super nice to you. And so it
- 23:29Speaker 1: sounds like, and I don't know, maybe he kept under
- 23:31Speaker 1: wraps for a long time, you know, and then he
- 23:34Speaker 1: seemed like a good guy and it wasn't entime for
- 23:36Speaker 1: they got engaged and married that he really was able
- 23:40Speaker 1: to be his true self, this true evil self.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Who the evil that I marry?
- 23:45Speaker 1: Yeah, married to evil? Still, yeah, the show. So after
- 23:48Speaker 1: the engagement, Olivia and her daughters moved into Chris's house
- 23:52Speaker 1: and Chris again, this is not a good sign, But
- 23:55Speaker 1: Chris started running that home like he did the prison.
- 23:59Speaker 1: Everything had to be perfect. Ariel said, she said, you
- 24:02Speaker 1: had to make your bed. It couldn't have any wrinkles.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Stew's like, I don't see.
- 24:06Speaker 2: What the problem. It sounds like boot camp, sounds like
- 24:09Speaker 2: Friday room inspection.
- 24:10Speaker 1: So yeah, so no dishes, you know, in the sink
- 24:13Speaker 1: at night, which I can get on board with that,
- 24:16Speaker 1: but not the way he was doing it. I'm pretty
- 24:18Speaker 1: sure it was in a controlling manner. I mean, some
- 24:20Speaker 1: nights we go to bed with dishes in the sink,
- 24:22Speaker 1: but it's we try not to, just because who wants
- 24:25Speaker 1: to wake up to dirty dishes in the seink morning? Anyways,
- 24:30Speaker 1: but he would. You'd have to clean all the floors
- 24:32Speaker 1: at night, he wanted. If they weren't in their rooms,
- 24:36Speaker 1: the doors had to be opened so he could walk
- 24:38Speaker 1: by and see that everything was firsting. I mean, it
- 24:41Speaker 1: is like prison, you know, you have to have your
- 24:43Speaker 1: door open. He wants to see. Yeah, so it was
- 24:46Speaker 1: just a really bad situation for the girls living there.
- 24:49Speaker 1: They didn't like it. And then Chris even began punishing
- 24:53Speaker 1: the girls, even whipping them with a belt if he
- 24:57Speaker 1: felt that they were disrespectful to him or their mom.
- 25:01Speaker 1: And again this is for some people. It is normal
- 25:06Speaker 1: to corporal punishment, depending on how you grew up. Like
- 25:10Speaker 1: I'm trying to think I was never whipped, but I'm
- 25:13Speaker 1: pretty sure my older brother was. It was he was
- 25:17Speaker 1: always the one in trouble and everything like that. So
- 25:20Speaker 1: but yeah, so it might have been normal, so she
- 25:22Speaker 1: may she maybe she didn't think anything of it or
- 25:24Speaker 1: anything like that. And he's going to be their stepfather
- 25:26Speaker 1: and stuff. So so this all these things were happening,
- 25:30Speaker 1: the girls were miserable living there, and then Olivia's life
- 25:35Speaker 1: took a big hit when her mom passed away in
- 25:37Speaker 1: January of twenty fifteen. Now, her and her mom were
- 25:41Speaker 1: very close. They talked on the phone, you know, every morning.
- 25:45Speaker 1: So at this point though, it was a positive because
- 25:47Speaker 1: she did turn to her sister in law after her death,
- 25:50Speaker 1: where you know, for comfort and just to talk to her.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Because Ariel said that Chris pretended like he cared. She
- 25:56Speaker 1: could tell he just didn't care about that her mom died.
- 25:59Speaker 1: It was just no, he didn't even go No.
- 26:02Speaker 2: He just okay, yeah, I'm not going to the wake,
- 26:05Speaker 2: not going to the funeral. I don't even know if
- 26:06Speaker 2: he showed up to the funeral, but he definitely didn't
- 26:08Speaker 2: go to the wake er any of the other stuff.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Yeah, because I think at that point that it was
- 26:13Speaker 1: kind of confusing. But I think at that eventually the
- 26:16Speaker 1: family started you know getting you know, he's trying to
- 26:20Speaker 1: isolate her more and more from her family, so that
- 26:23Speaker 1: she he's all she has, and so I think the
- 26:26Speaker 1: family did start seeing him for who he was. So
- 26:28Speaker 1: he probably didn't like the mom because she might have
- 26:30Speaker 1: been saying, you need to get out of this and
- 26:32Speaker 1: everything like that. So anyway, so she's confiding in her
- 26:37Speaker 1: in Brittany and at this point that's when she tells
- 26:40Speaker 1: her that they had cameras all throughout their house, and
- 26:46Speaker 1: Brittany's in shock. The sister in law is like, what
- 26:49Speaker 1: what do you mean cameras? I mean inside the home. Yes,
- 26:53Speaker 1: and this is twenty fifteen too, so I feel like
- 26:57Speaker 1: cameras weren't as big even on outside the house at
- 27:00Speaker 1: that time. That was ten years ago.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Wow, I mean, oh my god.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Yeah, but I think I feel like ring just started
- 27:07Speaker 1: and everything like that. It wasn't. Now you go to
- 27:10Speaker 1: every single house, like will you go buy a house
- 27:12Speaker 1: and there's cameras everywhere, there's camera everybody has cameras on
- 27:14Speaker 1: their house. But I feel like twenty fifteen, even some houses,
- 27:18Speaker 1: a lot of houses didn't have cameras installed at that point.
- 27:23Speaker 2: No, I mean, but we still get that we still had.
- 27:27Speaker 2: You could get the ones, I.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Know that, but you would have to know how to
- 27:30Speaker 1: install them and everything or pay at that point, you
- 27:32Speaker 1: would most likely have to pay somewhere to install, oh
- 27:36Speaker 1: for inside the home. Well I know that, but we
- 27:39Speaker 1: wouldn't have them.
- 27:40Speaker 2: I don't think he had them mounted.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Yes, he had them mounted in the home. They were
- 27:45Speaker 1: in the corners of the of the home, like in
- 27:48Speaker 1: the like cameras mounted, like security cameras at a building
- 27:51Speaker 1: like he was the print like it was the prisons.
- 27:53Speaker 2: They also had like some some wireless ones that you
- 27:56Speaker 2: charged and everything too.
- 27:57Speaker 1: So what does that matter what kind they were.
- 28:00Speaker 2: I'm just saying the technology was up to date.
- 28:02Speaker 1: So okay, well whatever that was, this is so stupid.
- 28:06Speaker 1: I don't know why you care.
- 28:06Speaker 2: What money as it were because you act like somebody
- 28:09Speaker 2: had to come run wires through the house and all
- 28:10Speaker 2: that other mess.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Well no, but I'm saying. What I'm saying is that
- 28:14Speaker 1: to have the cameras in the home in twenty fifteen
- 28:17Speaker 1: is shocking because not everybody even had them on the
- 28:20Speaker 1: outside their home, so it to have them inside your
- 28:22Speaker 1: home is really shocking. Does that all make sense.
- 28:25Speaker 2: To not if you're control right?
- 28:27Speaker 1: Okay, Well Stuart, yes, obviously for him it made sense.
- 28:30Speaker 2: Well, I had to go work on some guys cameras
- 28:32Speaker 2: at his house. He had them old style black and
- 28:33Speaker 2: white ones, and I think him and his girlfriend were
- 28:36Speaker 2: just in there shooting up heair when he won like
- 28:37Speaker 2: some kind of lawsuit or something. And this house was
- 28:40Speaker 2: real creepy when you got there. There was cameras outside
- 28:42Speaker 2: and alarm systems and they were just sitting inside in
- 28:46Speaker 2: the dark, just kind of looking like they were tweaking out.
- 28:49Speaker 2: But he had money for cameras. Though when what year
- 28:53Speaker 2: was this, I don't know, twenty ten maybe.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Oh well, I'm glad I pulled you out of that
- 28:58Speaker 1: situation I'm being in the heroine house. Yes, well, you've
- 29:03Speaker 1: told me some stories about going in and installing things
- 29:06Speaker 1: and people. He still used to install security cameras before
- 29:09Speaker 1: his previous gig, before becoming a stay at home mom.
- 29:14Speaker 1: But yes, so, yeah, so he used to tell me
- 29:19Speaker 1: some stories about like you go up and roach infested
- 29:22Speaker 1: homes and m m, just nasty things and like people
- 29:28Speaker 1: doing crazy. I remember that one lady that was going
- 29:30Speaker 1: to leave you in the home by herself with her children. Yeah,
- 29:32Speaker 1: and you were like, no, I'm no.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Under like a sixteen year old kid or fourteen I don't.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm like no, yeah, I mean what what parents like, Yeah,
- 29:41Speaker 1: it's fine. You can just hear a strange man coming
- 29:44Speaker 1: to my own and I'm just going to leave in
- 29:47Speaker 1: The fourteen year old will be, you know, here to
- 29:50Speaker 1: to make sure as the as the person in the home.
- 29:54Speaker 1: It's like, no, what's wrong with parents anyway? So always
- 29:59Speaker 1: so it's about the cameras and everything, and he's got
- 30:02Speaker 1: him in the house and she's just appalled by this,
- 30:06Speaker 1: and so Ariels started talking to her Anne about him,
- 30:09Speaker 1: because she's you know, she's like, hey, tell me about
- 30:11Speaker 1: these cameras you got in your house. Well, she said
- 30:14Speaker 1: that Chris would watch them while he was at the prison,
- 30:16Speaker 1: and the cameras actually had microphones, so he could talk
- 30:19Speaker 1: to them whenever he wanted, and then they would have
- 30:21Speaker 1: to talk back to him. They would have to communicate
- 30:24Speaker 1: through the cameras. There was absolutely no privacy in the home.
- 30:27Speaker 1: I don't think he had him in the bedroom because
- 30:29Speaker 1: that would be illegal.
- 30:30Speaker 2: So they didn't have him in the bedrooms or the bathrooms.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Yeah, so, but everywhere else was fair game. He could
- 30:35Speaker 1: watch you come and go and hear every single thing
- 30:38Speaker 1: that you said. And because the reason. Uh, because that
- 30:44Speaker 1: was part of the reason that she found out about
- 30:45Speaker 1: the cameras is because whenever she was on the phone
- 30:48Speaker 1: with Brittany, she said, I got to be quiet because
- 30:50Speaker 1: I don't want the cameras to pick it up. And
- 30:52Speaker 1: then that's when it got into the whole camera situation
- 30:54Speaker 1: because she couldn't even have a conversation with a family
- 30:57Speaker 1: member in private because of how he had the house set.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it would be recorded.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Ariel continue to witness abuse.
- 31:06Speaker 1: There's tensions behind the microphone. Guys per huge, per per
- 31:12Speaker 1: huge mail. Again always classic Kara.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Classic Carara. Ariel continued to witness the abuse in the home.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Yes, because at the serenest time, there was abuse happening,
- 31:25Speaker 1: but of course it wasn't shared with the other family.
- 31:28Speaker 1: I think there was a lot of being cut a
- 31:29Speaker 1: lot of communication which is cut off, you know, even
- 31:33Speaker 1: for the even for the nieces or you know, to
- 31:36Speaker 1: the daughters.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Yea, the daughters talking to their aunts and uncles. But
- 31:39Speaker 2: also I found like there seemed to be like the
- 31:42Speaker 2: family members during this episode this that didn't seem forthcoming
- 31:47Speaker 2: with with what they actually knew, possibly and why they
- 31:55Speaker 2: didn't intervene.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Or things well, no, but I think at some point
- 31:59Speaker 1: the people, I mean, this happens all the time. At
- 32:01Speaker 1: some point you're just like, I don't know what else
- 32:03Speaker 1: to do. I can't call the cops on him because
- 32:06Speaker 1: he's not doing anything in front of me. You know,
- 32:10Speaker 1: if she's not gonna do anything about the situation, I
- 32:13Speaker 1: don't know what else to do. I mean, that's thought.
- 32:15Speaker 1: That's what I felt from him. They had just they
- 32:18Speaker 1: didn't know what else to do. I mean, she's over
- 32:20Speaker 1: here living her life. She's not gonna call the police
- 32:22Speaker 1: on They can't. They can't just barge in there and
- 32:25Speaker 1: be like we're taking you because she's just gonna go
- 32:26Speaker 1: right back to him and probably make him angry in
- 32:28Speaker 1: the process, and that it's gonna be even worse for her.
- 32:30Speaker 1: I mean, there's just like not a win and tell
- 32:32Speaker 1: the person that's in the situation it's gonna has had enough. Yeah,
- 32:36Speaker 1: then there's not much the family members can do unless
- 32:40Speaker 1: they witness and even if they witness it, then then
- 32:43Speaker 1: the person has to press charges, you know, they have
- 32:45Speaker 1: to agree to p Yeah, and then a lot of
- 32:47Speaker 1: times that doesn't happen, or if they start to, then
- 32:49Speaker 1: they drop them because the guy's sweet talks him back
- 32:52Speaker 1: into it. So it's just in a bad situation. I
- 32:54Speaker 1: just felt like the family didn't know what to do
- 32:56Speaker 1: with it. They I mean, they just didn't know what
- 32:58Speaker 1: to do. I don't think they also knew how bad
- 33:00Speaker 1: it was, though. You don't think no, because at the
- 33:03Speaker 1: end they said they didn't realize that this was all
- 33:05Speaker 1: going on inside the home. They knew about the cameras
- 33:08Speaker 1: and things of that, but they didn't know the level
- 33:10Speaker 1: of how he was treating her inside the home. Spoiler alert,
- 33:15Speaker 1: spoiler alert.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Anyway, so Olivia are Ariel's witness on all this, and
- 33:24Speaker 2: she didn't she knew that her mother was not going
- 33:26Speaker 2: to leave Chris. Olivia had told Ariel that she would
- 33:31Speaker 2: leave whenever she had had enough, but Ariel never thought
- 33:35Speaker 2: that day would come, because it didn't seem how no
- 33:39Speaker 2: matter how bad it got, Olivia just would make an
- 33:42Speaker 2: excuse or dismiss it or not even talk about it.
- 33:46Speaker 2: Olivia went through with the wedding and Chris controlled the
- 33:50Speaker 2: guest list, and at that point most of Olivia's siblings
- 33:54Speaker 2: were disinvited, with the exception of the brother and the
- 33:59Speaker 2: sister law that were at the park that or in
- 34:02Speaker 2: this episode.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Yeah, And I don't know if they were just maybe
- 34:06Speaker 1: they weren't pushing her about leaving him, and that's why,
- 34:09Speaker 1: because maybe they thought it was better just be some
- 34:11Speaker 1: part of her life in this, you know, because if
- 34:14Speaker 1: they just maybe the other siblings were like, you guys
- 34:16Speaker 1: need to leave, and then she he pushed them out
- 34:18Speaker 1: and everything. But maybe the brother and the sister in
- 34:21Speaker 1: law were saying, you know what, some relationship is better
- 34:24Speaker 1: than them none. So we're just gonna try to be
- 34:28Speaker 1: a part of her life in whatever way we can
- 34:30Speaker 1: that will make that will allow us to be close
- 34:33Speaker 1: to her.
- 34:33Speaker 2: And the other three were pushed out of the Yeah,
- 34:36Speaker 2: out of the circle of trust. Yes, And even though
- 34:40Speaker 2: this was a happy day it to Olivia's daughters and
- 34:46Speaker 2: the siblings that were pushed out, this seeming like it
- 34:48Speaker 2: was kind of a crazy situation.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Yeah, because Olivia was super excited about this, like she
- 34:53Speaker 1: was having a blast. It was like she was marrying,
- 34:56Speaker 1: you know, the best guy ever. And the family's just
- 34:59Speaker 1: like this, this is crazy, are we are we all
- 35:03Speaker 1: just we're all just going to pretend that this is great.
- 35:06Speaker 2: We're just going to pretend that this is yeah, shit
- 35:08Speaker 2: that's happening is not happening.
- 35:10Speaker 1: And a lot of what we're saying is speculation just
- 35:13Speaker 1: from the with the fan. But I can just assume
- 35:15Speaker 1: that it's probably difficult for them to confront her about
- 35:17Speaker 1: these things if she's so blinded by.
- 35:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like she's not wanting to hear it. She's like, oh, yeah,
- 35:24Speaker 2: I know, but it's not that bad. Yeah, as what
- 35:27Speaker 2: we theorize is going on. Chris continued the controlling and
- 35:31Speaker 2: threatening behavior at home and while he was at work
- 35:34Speaker 2: he was able to just do it over the phone.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Well. No, he was also a no at work, he's starting.
- 35:41Speaker 2: Yes, And at work he was also being abusive to
- 35:44Speaker 2: the inmates and he was actually placed on administrative leave
- 35:48Speaker 2: after beating one inmates so bad that he had to
- 35:52Speaker 2: go to the infirmary and then I think actually to
- 35:55Speaker 2: the hospital.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Yes, And he actually had the video recording and he
- 35:58Speaker 1: brought it home and showed a real the daughter and
- 36:01Speaker 1: she's like, showed, she showed, He showed her the video
- 36:05Speaker 1: of him beating this man to like a pulp and everything,
- 36:09Speaker 1: And I'm assuming it was probably to show her what
- 36:12Speaker 1: he's capable of. Yes, if she doesn't she crosses him. Yeah. Yeah,
- 36:17Speaker 1: because the girls were young too. I mean they're they're kids,
- 36:20Speaker 1: Like one was a little girl and then this one's
- 36:22Speaker 1: a teenager. I mean, she's probably terrified of this guy
- 36:25Speaker 1: and just doesn't even know, just walking.
- 36:26Speaker 2: On eggshells around there got cameras guys of Psycho. But
- 36:32Speaker 2: even though Chris was put on administrative leave, guessing it
- 36:36Speaker 2: was unpaid or it might have been paid, they were
- 36:39Speaker 2: not struggling with money because Olivia government.
- 36:42Speaker 1: He probably got paid during this time quite possibly.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Well, I mean they actually do until they can prove
- 36:48Speaker 2: that you don't deserve a paycheck. But Olivia had been
- 36:52Speaker 2: a hard worker. She had built up her tax service company,
- 36:55Speaker 2: and she was making some pretty good money. Yeah.
- 36:57Speaker 1: I think they said she was making three times as
- 36:59Speaker 1: much as him. Yeah, so she's probably she's making six figures.
- 37:03Speaker 1: I'm assuming with this.
- 37:04Speaker 2: And then Chris came up with the idea to start
- 37:07Speaker 2: a food truck. So Olivia took her tax money that
- 37:11Speaker 2: she was making and she poured that into this new business.
- 37:16Speaker 2: Olivia did all the work on the food truck, and
- 37:20Speaker 2: but she made it look like Chris was doing all that.
- 37:23Speaker 1: She's trying to make him look good. She's been a
- 37:25Speaker 1: lot of time trying to make him present him as
- 37:27Speaker 1: a good person, as a hard worker, when really she
- 37:31Speaker 1: was the one prepping all the did all the planning everything,
- 37:34Speaker 1: and then he just kind of showed up.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Yeah, she pumped all the money into this thing, got
- 37:37Speaker 2: it up running, did all the planning, all the supplies,
- 37:41Speaker 2: and then whenever they rolled the food truck, he would
- 37:43Speaker 2: do the cooking, and then that's his contribution. The food
- 37:49Speaker 2: truck was a success, and Chris was working on that
- 37:52Speaker 2: while he was on administrative leave. Ariel had finally graduated
- 37:57Speaker 2: from high school and she was about to head off
- 37:59Speaker 2: to college. But she was worried about her mom and
- 38:02Speaker 2: her younger sister, as you would imagine, but she was.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Just really thankful just to get out of the house. Though, yes,
- 38:09Speaker 1: I feel she's worried, but she's she's ready for to
- 38:13Speaker 1: not be there in that environment.
- 38:16Speaker 2: Now. Ariel's biggest fears came to fruition. On February fourteenth,
- 38:21Speaker 2: twenty nineteen.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Yes, I know, I wrote fruiting. I actually wrote fruiting
- 38:27Speaker 1: instead of fruition and had to read it. I saw
- 38:31Speaker 1: him looking fruition fruiting. It came to fruiting. Okay, this
- 38:37Speaker 1: is not the time to joke. Stop it, care, stop it.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Ariel received a phone call from Chris saying that her
- 38:44Speaker 2: mom accidentally.
- 38:45Speaker 1: Shot herself and this is Valentine's Day.
- 38:47Speaker 2: Yes. Police arrived at the scene to find Chris frantically
- 38:52Speaker 2: explaining what happened. He said they got in a fight
- 38:55Speaker 2: and that she ran in, she got a gun that
- 38:59Speaker 2: they kept in the house, sloaded next to the bed,
- 39:01Speaker 2: and threatened to kill herself because he said that he
- 39:05Speaker 2: had wanted a divorce. Yep, he said that whenever he
- 39:09Speaker 2: Chris went to get the gun from her, he went
- 39:13Speaker 2: to grab her arm and she pulled back, and they
- 39:16Speaker 2: were fighting back and forth, and she shot herself in
- 39:18Speaker 2: the head.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Basically, I didn't think he made it sound like they
- 39:22Speaker 1: were fighting.
- 39:22Speaker 2: Well, well, he went to grab her arm and then
- 39:25Speaker 2: she pulled back.
- 39:25Speaker 1: He still made it kind of he was it was
- 39:27Speaker 1: kind of like, oh, I was trying to get the gun,
- 39:30Speaker 1: but also she just jerked back to try to and
- 39:34Speaker 1: pull the trigger to get Whenever.
- 39:35Speaker 2: I tried to pull her hand one way, she was
- 39:37Speaker 2: pulling the other way and her hand was on the trigger.
- 39:40Speaker 1: But he still made it sound like she tried to
- 39:42Speaker 1: she was pulling the trigger intentionally to kill herself, but
- 39:46Speaker 1: in this struggle that's how it actually happened.
- 39:49Speaker 2: But then he was trying to save her from it. Yeah.
- 39:54Speaker 1: Now, police describe the scene. Olivia was in her bedroom,
- 39:57Speaker 1: lying down, partially dressed. She had an exit wound by
- 40:00Speaker 1: her left eye and it appeared to have been shot.
- 40:04Speaker 1: She appeared to have been shot from the back of
- 40:06Speaker 1: her head, which is why he had to try to
- 40:10Speaker 1: explain something because you don't normally shoot yourself in the
- 40:13Speaker 1: back of the head when you're trying to kill yourself.
- 40:16Speaker 1: It's an odd angle. Now, police immediately were thinking this
- 40:22Speaker 1: did not appear to be a suicidal shot. So they
- 40:25Speaker 1: found her car to have groceries in it and they
- 40:28Speaker 1: were still cold. Her phone was in the car and
- 40:30Speaker 1: her car keys were on the hood. There were flowers
- 40:34Speaker 1: in the front seat looked like for a Valentine's Day,
- 40:38Speaker 1: and so it just appeared that she was in the
- 40:40Speaker 1: middle of basically unloading the car or something, for get
- 40:44Speaker 1: prepping for the food truck and everything when all of
- 40:46Speaker 1: this happened. It just so things were not adding up.
- 40:53Speaker 1: So they speak to family and friends, and no one
- 40:56Speaker 1: said Olivia was suicidal or depressed or anything. And again
- 41:00Speaker 1: nothing at the scene indicated that she was planning on
- 41:03Speaker 1: taking her life. That day, police did notice all of
- 41:06Speaker 1: the cameras in the house, so they were hoping that
- 41:08Speaker 1: they would show them what happened. I mean, case closed.
- 41:13Speaker 1: You know, got cameras all in the house. Probably were thinking,
- 41:15Speaker 1: this is weird, but this is great. Now we know
- 41:19Speaker 1: exactly we'll know exactly what happened.
- 41:21Speaker 2: They brought Chris down to the station.
- 41:23Speaker 1: He was interviewed and he wasn't handcuffed during this interview,
- 41:27Speaker 1: so I think they didn't mention it, but he was
- 41:29Speaker 1: definitely a handcuff so they were untrusting of him right
- 41:33Speaker 1: from the start.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Well, I thought they handcuffed him later because he actually
- 41:37Speaker 2: had it. What are you talking about, Maybe I didn't
- 41:40Speaker 2: notice that.
- 41:40Speaker 1: You didn't notice a handcuffs when he was being interviewed
- 41:42Speaker 1: and he was talking and he was handcuffed. Yes, he
- 41:45Speaker 1: was had his restaurant there and there was he was handcuffed.
- 41:50Speaker 2: Chris said they were preparing the food truck and he
- 41:54Speaker 2: felt as she was not doing her part.
- 41:57Speaker 1: Which is a lie. According to everyone that knew her,
- 41:59Speaker 1: she was the one doing all the work and he
- 42:01Speaker 1: was doing nothing.
- 42:03Speaker 2: No, he was probably just sitting around, fucking around.
- 42:06Speaker 1: And yeah, she did all the prep and everything, and
- 42:08Speaker 1: he was just kind of the face whenever he got there,
- 42:10Speaker 1: probably smiling, trying to be charming and everything pretendent.
- 42:13Speaker 2: Like he was probably telling her she wasn't prepping right
- 42:15Speaker 2: or something.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Yeah, well maybe she wasn't. Stu Ye me and Stu
- 42:21Speaker 1: Stew's my soux chef whenever I come up with one
- 42:23Speaker 1: of my crazy endeavors, like when I do supper club
- 42:28Speaker 1: for the neighborhood and everything like that, and he's my
- 42:31Speaker 1: sooux chef. And then I critique his prep skills. Yeah,
- 42:35Speaker 1: you're not dicing the onions.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Like set up, don't your damn stuff by it?
- 42:40Speaker 1: No what what?
- 42:46Speaker 2: Chris said that he was always strived for the best,
- 42:49Speaker 2: and that he felt that she was not living up
- 42:51Speaker 2: to her part of the deal or his standards.
- 42:55Speaker 1: He I mean, he's I get why the daughter said
- 42:57Speaker 1: immediately she thought he was arrogant because he sounded so
- 43:00Speaker 1: arrogant to these police officers or these detectives interview and
- 43:03Speaker 1: going saying I strive to be the very best or
- 43:08Speaker 1: I am I'm acting at the very top levels. Yes,
- 43:12Speaker 1: and she's just not and it's like you're a loser.
- 43:15Speaker 1: You're on administrative leave. She's making all this money, keeping
- 43:20Speaker 1: the household up, doing all this stuff, and you're just
- 43:23Speaker 1: like sitting at home in your in your pajama pants.
- 43:28Speaker 1: You feel personally a text.
- 43:30Speaker 2: I do, but I'm okay with it. Okay, you need
- 43:35Speaker 2: to take your ass to work, maybe get a second
- 43:38Speaker 2: job or something. I got a standard of living that
- 43:41Speaker 2: I have become accustomed to.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Shut up, stuck.
- 43:47Speaker 2: He said that he told Olivia that he wanted a divorce,
- 43:53Speaker 2: and he said that's when she lost her shit, and
- 43:56Speaker 2: that's when she went to the room, to the bedroom,
- 43:59Speaker 2: she grabbed the g and the struggle ensued, and that
- 44:04Speaker 2: just during that struggle somehow she shot herself in the
- 44:07Speaker 2: back of the head.
- 44:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:09Speaker 2: They asked him for the video and he freely hands
- 44:12Speaker 2: over his phone.
- 44:13Speaker 1: No problem, problem, you go here, you go take it.
- 44:16Speaker 2: The problem was that the three minutes leading up to
- 44:18Speaker 2: the shooting they're all missing. Chris said it was a
- 44:22Speaker 2: glitch in the system and that he had not charged
- 44:24Speaker 2: the cameras properly.
- 44:25Speaker 1: That's where Stu was coming on about, like, oh well
- 44:27Speaker 1: he had remote cameras that he had to charge. Blah blah.
- 44:31Speaker 2: Yeah, well you got to. You gotta be able to
- 44:33Speaker 2: take them down and charge them, okay, if they're wireless.
- 44:39Speaker 2: He continued to deny any involvement other than just trying
- 44:44Speaker 2: to save Olivia's life and he or any involvement in
- 44:47Speaker 2: the camera system.
- 44:49Speaker 1: Yeah, like I didn't. They kept saying, did you delete this,
- 44:53Speaker 1: and he's like not, It's just a glitch. It was
- 44:55Speaker 1: just a glitch of the system.
- 44:57Speaker 2: After the continued questioning, Chris finally admits to deleting the
- 45:02Speaker 2: video on all but one camera. They retrieved the video
- 45:06Speaker 2: and they see that there was not an argument. Chris
- 45:08Speaker 2: went to the bedroom first.
- 45:11Speaker 1: So, which is completely opposite of what he said, because
- 45:14Speaker 1: he said, oh, they got into an argument and she
- 45:17Speaker 1: stormed off to the bedroom.
- 45:18Speaker 2: Yes, to get the gun and kill herself. According to
- 45:23Speaker 2: the video, Chris went to the bedroom first, and Olivia
- 45:26Speaker 2: calmly walks in after him, and there the video goes dark.
- 45:30Speaker 1: So he deleted he did, so, well, did it goes dark?
- 45:36Speaker 1: I don't want to say dark. It goes into the bedroom,
- 45:38Speaker 1: so you can't see what's going on. Because this all
- 45:41Speaker 1: happened in the bedroom.
- 45:42Speaker 2: Was just and what they said was Olivia was doing
- 45:45Speaker 2: she was doing something in the kitchen and she didn't
- 45:47Speaker 2: know that he was down in the bedroom. And then
- 45:49Speaker 2: when she rounded the corner, she looked shocked to see him.
- 45:52Speaker 1: Yeah, because he's probably holding a fucking gun. Yeah, he's
- 45:55Speaker 1: probably pretty shocking. She's over here just trying to cut
- 45:58Speaker 1: some tomatoes up and he's over there and.
- 46:00Speaker 2: Like, what the hell you got the gun for?
- 46:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:03Speaker 2: So police, after they see this and they see that
- 46:06Speaker 2: his story and messing up about her going.
- 46:09Speaker 1: It's quite clear he did.
- 46:11Speaker 2: You know, he's place him under arrest.
- 46:14Speaker 1: So Chris this this, I found this absolutely thing. So
- 46:17Speaker 1: Chris was let out on bond and why he was
- 46:21Speaker 1: let out, I mean, I guess they let him out.
- 46:23Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't understand how someone murders somebody
- 46:27Speaker 1: and they're allowed to just walk about the the world.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Why aren't they at least on house arrests murder? Yes,
- 46:34Speaker 1: this is not I.
- 46:35Speaker 2: Mean, I'm not even sure how you bond out when
- 46:37Speaker 2: you commit first to gree murder.
- 46:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't or and be just free to to
- 46:42Speaker 1: to go about. I mean, I don't know what the
- 46:44Speaker 1: full stipulations were, but the fact that he was even
- 46:46Speaker 1: out of the house to me seemed shocking. So he
- 46:49Speaker 1: continues to run this food truck that she bought and
- 46:51Speaker 1: everything like that. Well, the family found out about this,
- 46:55Speaker 1: and they were pissed. So they made sure that this
- 46:58Speaker 1: was not a successful food truck anymore, and they wanted
- 47:01Speaker 1: everyone to know that this murderer was running it, and
- 47:04Speaker 1: that he killed his wife and was running the food
- 47:06Speaker 1: truck that she purchased and set up and everything, and
- 47:09Speaker 1: trying to profit off of this. And so I believe
- 47:12Speaker 1: the food truck eventually did not work out for him.
- 47:15Speaker 1: But why was he allowed to go run the food
- 47:16Speaker 1: truck because maybe he got special thing saying you can
- 47:20Speaker 1: be at home and you can be at work. But
- 47:21Speaker 1: the problem is the work is the food truck, which
- 47:24Speaker 1: can literally be anywhere, so he has no restrictions basically exactly. Yeah,
- 47:29Speaker 1: I don't know what judge allowed him to find out, Yeah,
- 47:33Speaker 1: and to torment the family like that, just being out
- 47:37Speaker 1: there running the fucking food truck, Jesus, and like in
- 47:41Speaker 1: her house that she paid for and everything with her
- 47:44Speaker 1: working in her business and stuff. I would just be pissed. Now.
- 47:49Speaker 1: During the trial, several videos are shown to the jury
- 47:52Speaker 1: and they're pretty disturbing. So Chris is seen screaming at
- 47:57Speaker 1: Olivia and pushing her, shoving her everything like that, and
- 48:02Speaker 1: she's just it's very disturbing because she's just so calm,
- 48:06Speaker 1: trying to remain calm during this, and this guy's just
- 48:08Speaker 1: he's just shoving her and pushing her down and screaming,
- 48:11Speaker 1: fuck you da da da da and everything. Look, how
- 48:14Speaker 1: you this there's food on the wall. You're disgusting, just
- 48:17Speaker 1: screaming at her, and she's just calmly, just trying to
- 48:20Speaker 1: get through this. The these incidents, and so there's several
- 48:24Speaker 1: videos like that, and Olivia's family this where they I
- 48:28Speaker 1: don't think they understood the level they saw the outside Steah,
- 48:33Speaker 1: that was.
- 48:33Speaker 2: A lot of verbal abuse.
- 48:35Speaker 1: Yeah, and on top of physical abuse. But they just
- 48:38Speaker 1: saw the stuff he did out in public, which he
- 48:41Speaker 1: probably kept it under wraps pretty well. But they were
- 48:45Speaker 1: just in shock that he was so controlling and that
- 48:47Speaker 1: it was it was at the extent that it was.
- 48:49Speaker 1: They weren't aware of this.
- 48:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it was. It was quite shocking toward Dan whenever
- 48:54Speaker 2: they were yeah, playing the show, playing the videos from
- 48:57Speaker 2: the kitchen, and you could see what was going on,
- 49:00Speaker 2: just in there, trying to do clean up or whatever,
- 49:02Speaker 2: and he's just losing his shit. In twenty twenty two,
- 49:06Speaker 2: Chris was found guilty of first degree felony murder and
- 49:10Speaker 2: he was sentenced to thirty years in prison without the
- 49:13Speaker 2: right to appeal the case. He chose this route because
- 49:16Speaker 2: he did not think he could win an appeal and
- 49:19Speaker 2: he might have received the highest penalty, which was ninety
- 49:22Speaker 2: nine years. He will be eligible for parole on March fifth,
- 49:26Speaker 2: twenty thirty seven, when he is fifty eight years old.
- 49:29Speaker 1: So hopefully he doesn't listen to this podcast episode exactly.
- 49:33Speaker 1: He seems angry.
- 49:34Speaker 2: And released March fifth, twenty fifty two, when he is
- 49:37Speaker 2: seventy three years.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Old, so he's probably if he's in good health, he's
- 49:42Speaker 1: going to be out. The problem for him though, he
- 49:44Speaker 1: was a prison guard, yes, and he's probably not doing
- 49:47Speaker 1: very well in prison right now.
- 49:48Speaker 2: He's probably got to be what do they call that
- 49:51Speaker 2: when they segregate him.
- 49:53Speaker 1: He's in he's not in gin pop, Nope, he's in yeah, segregation, secretary,
- 50:01Speaker 1: that's not a story.
- 50:02Speaker 2: I don't know what to say there.
- 50:06Speaker 1: Segretory, that's not a word. I don't think now isolation.
- 50:13Speaker 1: I think it is segregation.
- 50:14Speaker 2: Yeah, segregate.
- 50:15Speaker 1: It's not in gin pop. He's in segregation.
- 50:17Speaker 2: Yeah, they got all the ones that are the vulnerable inmates.
- 50:20Speaker 1: That a yeah, I say, just throw them in gin pop.
- 50:23Speaker 1: See what happens. Because it's usually the worst people. It's
- 50:26Speaker 1: the child rapist and stuff like that. They have to
- 50:29Speaker 1: keep separate because they're going to get murdered. It's like,
- 50:32Speaker 1: let's just let prison justice lay out.
- 50:35Speaker 2: Just put them in some pink, pink uniforms.
- 50:37Speaker 1: And let everybody know. Yeah. So, yeah, he's going to
- 50:43Speaker 1: get out at some point and.
- 50:46Speaker 2: Come looking for you for picking this.
- 50:49Speaker 1: Can twenty thirty seven. That's that's in twelve years, we
- 50:53Speaker 1: won't be around here here. We will not be He
- 50:58Speaker 1: will not know where we are. We might be honest.
- 51:00Speaker 1: Twelve years now, you think we're still gonna be doing
- 51:02Speaker 1: this podcast, I don't know.
- 51:03Speaker 2: I didn't think we'd be doing it for long.
- 51:06Speaker 1: We're not doing It's so funny because we've been doing
- 51:08Speaker 1: it for so long, but we do not have that
- 51:09Speaker 1: many episodes for someone. We're only like episode one thirty eight.
- 51:14Speaker 2: I thought we're like one sixty.
- 51:16Speaker 1: No, we're on episode one thirty eight, and we've been
- 51:18Speaker 1: doing this since two thousand and No, two thousand and sixteen,
- 51:26Speaker 1: we've been doing this. No, nine years, that's not right. No,
- 51:32Speaker 1: I think it was. I think it was twenty sixteen.
- 51:37Speaker 1: We these are twenty sixteen, twenty seventeen, so it's been
- 51:39Speaker 1: eight or nine years and we only have one hundred
- 51:41Speaker 1: and thirty eight episodes. I'm ashamed of us, Stewart. We're
- 51:43Speaker 1: going to do better, people, Okay, I know I say.
- 51:45Speaker 2: That every time you're a liar.
- 51:47Speaker 1: We are going to do better. No, I'm committed. This summer,
- 51:49Speaker 1: we are putting one episode out every single week. Guys,
- 51:52Speaker 1: you heard her first. No more cruises for care.
- 51:55Speaker 2: They've heard a lot of shit, come on, I know they.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Have for shit, but there's they're still hanging around. I
- 52:01Speaker 1: mean some people have been listenings from the beginning when
- 52:03Speaker 1: we had terrible audio.
- 52:04Speaker 2: Terrible, yes, but we were, and they actually go back
- 52:07Speaker 2: and listen to some of the ship again.
- 52:08Speaker 1: I know, I know. I was thinking about maybe if
- 52:12Speaker 1: there's weeks where we don't have enough time to write
- 52:16Speaker 1: a new episode to go that they.
- 52:18Speaker 2: Get a new episode every week.
- 52:23Speaker 1: Okay, a new episode everything. We're gonna do it. We're
- 52:28Speaker 1: gonna We're doing it. I'm making the commitment. We don't
- 52:31Speaker 1: have any trips so you know how we love to travel.
- 52:33Speaker 1: We're taking a little pause. We're taking a break because
- 52:36Speaker 1: we are traveled out at this point. We've travel, travel traveled.
- 52:41Speaker 1: You know, we've been for like NonStop for the last
- 52:45Speaker 1: eight or nine months. We've we we started.
- 52:48Speaker 2: We started in June going.
- 52:50Speaker 1: To pod Yes, mistake.
- 52:53Speaker 2: I liked it.
- 52:54Speaker 1: I didn't. It wasn't worth the drive. I liked Corpus
- 52:57Speaker 1: Christie better better. Yeah, I mean, Texas doesn't have the
- 53:01Speaker 1: best beaches. I mean, you gotta, you gotta just I
- 53:04Speaker 1: mean it's better than Galveston, But it wasn't worth the extrive.
- 53:07Speaker 1: And we were there there was tar all over the
- 53:10Speaker 1: beaches and got all over our clothes.
- 53:12Speaker 2: We had clothes out.
- 53:14Speaker 1: So we started in June. There. We don't travel anyways
- 53:18Speaker 1: over the summer because with my work, with stuff I
- 53:21Speaker 1: have to do at work, it's July is like a
- 53:23Speaker 1: really bad month for me, So we can't really travel
- 53:25Speaker 1: that month anyways, like July August. So then September we
- 53:30Speaker 1: went on the Disney Cruise. Then we went to the
- 53:38Speaker 1: the Balloon Festival Fiesta in Albuquerque, New Mexico. And then
- 53:43Speaker 1: we went.
- 53:44Speaker 2: To Fredericksburg or vice versa.
- 53:47Speaker 1: Yeah, one of those was one way or the other
- 53:49Speaker 1: Fredericksburg for Octoberfest. And then we went to Europe for
- 53:55Speaker 1: almost three weeks to see the Christmas markets. And then
- 53:59Speaker 1: we're home and we're like, okay, we're going to take
- 54:01Speaker 1: a break from traveling. And then we booked a cruse, Yes,
- 54:05Speaker 1: rolled Cribban Goddess with a good deal. Mistakes were made,
- 54:08Speaker 1: and then I started getting antsy because January is also
- 54:11Speaker 1: a bad work month for me, so I started getting antsy. Oh,
- 54:13Speaker 1: we went to Louisiana for two weeks, so I had
- 54:15Speaker 1: to use up the rest of my maternity or we
- 54:17Speaker 1: went for a week and then I was like, okay,
- 54:20Speaker 1: we're going to take a pause. But then I started
- 54:22Speaker 1: getting antsy. So we booked a trip. We went to
- 54:24Speaker 1: Corpus Christie for like four or five days to visit
- 54:26Speaker 1: my brother. That was a good trip though. I enjoyed
- 54:29Speaker 1: the Corpus Christie. Yes, and then they roll Caribbean Goddess
- 54:34Speaker 1: and we booked this cruise. But now we need to stop,
- 54:37Speaker 1: we need to take a break. We need to just
- 54:39Speaker 1: be home and record our podcast. Yes, so yeah, well
- 54:45Speaker 1: we got lots of projects at home we need to
- 54:46Speaker 1: be doing. We don't need to be running off every
- 54:49Speaker 1: couple of weeks because then when you have a big trip,
- 54:51Speaker 1: it's not just the trip you're going on, it's all
- 54:53Speaker 1: the planning for the trip, the pack. Then you have
- 54:56Speaker 1: we have all these children, so it's like the packing
- 54:58Speaker 1: for the trip. It's just a lot to go and
- 55:01Speaker 1: always have something like anticipating it and be like, Okay,
- 55:04Speaker 1: we got to figure out the packing. We got to
- 55:05Speaker 1: figure out what we're doing. So are you not gonna
- 55:10Speaker 1: say anything?
- 55:10Speaker 2: You're over this?
- 55:12Speaker 1: This is the end of the podcast, and I guess
- 55:15Speaker 1: I'm guessing you ain't got no y'all. Need you ready
- 55:19Speaker 1: to go?
- 55:19Speaker 2: I ain't ready to go. I got to pull up.
- 55:21Speaker 2: But I know what story it is.
- 55:23Speaker 1: Okay, wy don't you whip it out?
- 55:24Speaker 2: Stop you again?
- 55:30Speaker 1: Oh god, I forgot we did that last time. I
- 55:33Speaker 1: said whip it out and you went.
- 55:36Speaker 2: You win.
- 55:38Speaker 1: Like you like you was whipping something out. Oh my goodness.
- 55:43Speaker 1: All right, well you go get your y'all need Jesus
- 55:46Speaker 1: and we'll be right here. I should make you guys,
- 55:49Speaker 1: all wait the entire time that it takes us, Like
- 55:52Speaker 1: we should just be on air silent so they can
- 55:55Speaker 1: see how long this takes.
- 55:57Speaker 2: It doesn't take that long.
- 55:58Speaker 1: It does take that long.
- 56:00Speaker 2: It does.
- 56:00Speaker 1: Okay, well, I'll continue to talk to you guys, why
- 56:03Speaker 1: while he looks this up so you can see how
- 56:06Speaker 1: long this actually takes me. After I've written the whole case,
- 56:09Speaker 1: We got everything all ready to go, and he had
- 56:12Speaker 1: one job was the y'all need Jesus, it's the same
- 56:15Speaker 1: story every single week. You keep looking. What am I
- 56:19Speaker 1: going to talk about Papa Bear?
- 56:21Speaker 2: Yeah, let's talk about you being a stalker, Stuart. I'm
- 56:24Speaker 2: not a stalker.
- 56:26Speaker 1: He's presenting himself on the internet and I am just yes,
- 56:29Speaker 1: and I am just being entertained. At first I thought
- 56:33Speaker 1: he was crazy, and then I became he got me.
- 56:36Speaker 1: I became fascinated by the Papa Bear. And he did
- 56:40Speaker 1: have the shirt, so his Papa Bear, the man, the myth,
- 56:42Speaker 1: the legend. I thought he would only have it, you know,
- 56:45Speaker 1: like one of those shirts. No, no, no, no no.
- 56:48Speaker 1: He had it multiple days, in multiple colors. So he
- 56:51Speaker 1: had a gray one one day and then another day
- 56:53Speaker 1: we saw him, he had the brown one, and then
- 56:54Speaker 1: he had it in purple. He had the one he
- 56:57Speaker 1: wore getting onto the cruise. And then I did catch
- 57:02Speaker 1: him and his wife. He was there with his wife,
- 57:03Speaker 1: so I caught him and his wife. They were doing
- 57:05Speaker 1: the cruise photos. You know. Oh my god, don't even
- 57:07Speaker 1: get me started on the people that do the cruise photos.
- 57:10Speaker 1: I can't formal night. They like cut off all the
- 57:13Speaker 1: stairs so these people can take photos. Me and Stu
- 57:17Speaker 1: and the kids are all we were in exactly whatever
- 57:19Speaker 1: we wore that day. We are not dressing up fancy.
- 57:24Speaker 2: Are you ready fancy like Applebee's? Yes, yes, I'm ready.
- 57:27Speaker 1: Okay, I'll stop bitching because maybe there's someone out there
- 57:30Speaker 1: that goes on cruises and.
- 57:31Speaker 2: They probably take cruise photos.
- 57:34Speaker 1: Listen, I say things that annoy me and I think
- 57:38Speaker 1: are stupid. But guess what, I probably do a whole
- 57:40Speaker 1: bunch of stuff that you guys would think is stupid,
- 57:44Speaker 1: like become obsessed with Papa Bear. Yes, they're probably like,
- 57:47Speaker 1: what a fucking weirdo.
- 57:48Speaker 2: I know I'm married to you, and I thought the
- 57:50Speaker 2: same exact goddamn thing. I'm like, how are you fucking
- 57:53Speaker 2: kidding me? Right now? No, I know you were like,
- 57:55Speaker 2: did you take a picture like I did a No,
- 57:58Speaker 2: I didn't take a picture of it, dude.
- 58:00Speaker 1: He sent me on the little because we don't pay
- 58:01Speaker 1: for the internet on the crew, so send me the message.
- 58:04Speaker 1: He's like, gets to I saw it. He's like, I
- 58:07Speaker 1: just saw Papa Bear. But did you take a video?
- 58:10Speaker 1: He said no. I didn't know at that point that
- 58:14Speaker 1: I would actually see him in person multiple times. So
- 58:17Speaker 1: I thought this was a ship. But it is a
- 58:20Speaker 1: big ship. You could never see you. I mean, it's
- 58:23Speaker 1: not not too big for Papa Bear.
- 58:26Speaker 2: He gets wrong.
- 58:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 58:28Speaker 2: ABC News May by John Hayworth. Woman arrested after raccoon
- 58:36Speaker 2: named Chewi found with meth pipe and driver's seat during
- 58:40Speaker 2: police stop.
- 58:41Speaker 1: Wait what.
- 58:43Speaker 2: Headline? Woman arrested after raccoon named Chewi found with meth
- 58:49Speaker 2: pipe and driver's seat during police stop.
- 58:52Speaker 1: So they pulled her over and there's a raccoon in
- 58:55Speaker 1: the driver's seat with the meth pipe.
- 58:59Speaker 2: Yes, Okay, Florida not Florida, Florida.
- 59:07Speaker 1: Uh gotta be Florida.
- 59:10Speaker 2: I don't think so think so Ohio.
- 59:12Speaker 1: You know what I was thinking. I was like, this
- 59:13Speaker 1: sounds like an Ohio story. I was actually honest to God,
- 59:16Speaker 1: in my head, I was like, this sounds like something
- 59:17Speaker 1: that happened on Ohio.
- 59:19Speaker 2: This was all over the news today, but I guess
- 59:22Speaker 2: you missed it. Yeah, I'm sure that everybody that's listening
- 59:27Speaker 2: to this has probably hurt his story already. I'm sure
- 59:30Speaker 2: it wasn't all over the viral story. You got a
- 59:34Speaker 2: raccoon holding the math pipe and it's on the cops
- 59:36Speaker 2: body camera. You can see the raccoon. No, the story
- 59:39Speaker 2: with the math pipe.
- 59:40Speaker 1: No. The current story that I am disturbed by right
- 59:43Speaker 1: now on TikTok that's gone viral is there's this lady
- 59:46Speaker 1: that cooked two crabs in an air fryer and it
- 59:50Speaker 1: was a glass one. I don't know how it's still
- 59:52Speaker 1: on TikTok because apparently like crabs have feelings and they
- 59:56Speaker 1: were like hugging each other because they're getting cooked alive
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: in this air frier. And she filmed it all and
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: you could see it. But she was she wasn't She
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: didn't realize. She had no clue. What she was doing
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: was very disturbing. She's just cooking crabs in an air fryer.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: She you could hear them like screaming and stuff.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: Oh Jesus up they were.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: Like hugging each other, because yes they were, they.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: Were hugging each other.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: There's sincient beings? Is that the word sentient beings?
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: Stop? Just stop?
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: No they here?
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Are you going to tell me my crawfish are hugging
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: each other too?
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: Yes, okay, you're not well, never mind you maybe you're
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: one of the people that like the videos.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: You're not coming back to the crawfish place with me.
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: A woman has been arrested after a raccoon named Chewi
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: was found holding a meth pipe in the driver's seat
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: of her car and what police are calling a strange
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: encounter on patrol in Ohio.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: This is like, oh my god, you have no idea
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: you just said. You just quoted Dori Eat from the
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion. Andy started yawning and
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: she's turned and she said, am I boring you? You
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: don't even know that you that you were quoting her?
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: Wow, I'm probably quoting a lot of people that have boring.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: The incident occurred on Monday at approximately seven to fifteen
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: pm when Springfield Township Police officer Austin Branham. Brandham decided
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: to conduct a traffic stop on South Arlington Road after
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: identifying a vehicle whose registered owner had an active warrant
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: and a suspended driver's license. According to the Springfield PD,
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: when officer Brenham approached the car, he found fifty five
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: year old Victoria Battle of Akron, Ohio, and was able
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: to detain her without incidents. However, things took an unusual turn,
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: and according to police statement, as Officer Brandham returned to
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: the vehicle, he observed the raccoon named Chewi.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: How do they know his name was Chewy? Did he
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: present a driver's license? I don't understand.
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: Well maybe, oh, what's her face? Said? What his name was? Chewye?
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Put that medpipe down, Chewie. That's met up. I forgot
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: their Ohio. They don't got the country accents. You don't
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: think in Ohio. I don't know. They don't have country
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: accents in a way.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: People in the country.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: No, you don't think they got country folks. No, not
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: that sound like people in the No, it doesn't matter.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: People in the country in Ohio sound different than people
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: in the country in the south. They don't have that accent.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: People in one part of Texas sound different than the
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: other people know, Okay, No.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: One in Ohio sounds like like, oh, that's that's met up.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: You don't think no, okay if you're from Ohio. Let
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: us know.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: Well, chewis sitting in the driver's seat and he's got
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: a med pipe in his mouth like he's smoking it.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: Chewi had somehow gotten hold of a glass meta amphetamine pipe,
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: leading officers to further inspect the vehicle. Police did confirm
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: that Chewi was a pet raccoon and that he was
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: not a wild animal, after Bidal had the appropriate paperwork
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: and documentation that she owned him.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: I think it's so funny that she was a methetic,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: but she was responsible enough to have PaperWorks.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: However, a subsequent search revealed that Vidal's car contained a
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: bulk amount of metha afetamine, cracked cocaine, and three used
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: glass meta amphetamine pipes. Bible was charged with possession of
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: uh F three, possession of drugs I don't know what
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: that is, three, council possession of drug paraphernalia, and was
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: cited for driving under suspension. She was also subsequently turned
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: over to Cayuga Falls Police on her active warrant, where
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: additional charges related to crack cocaine possession will be per
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: se it at grand jury pending lab results. Thankfully, Chewy
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: was unharmed and notification was made to proper authorities to
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: determine that she has the proper pay work and documentation
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: to own Chewy.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: Well, I wonder where Chewy is now. Hopefully he went
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: to a sanctuary. Nice he's an outpatient facility. Anyways, that
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: reminds me. So there's this thing where they do on
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: Instagram or whatever on the rails they'll say, so there's
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: like type A moms that are you know, you know,
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: everything's on a schedule, they know where everything is, phones
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: always charged, gas in the car, just like got it
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: all together. And then type B moms have no clue,
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: kids eating goldfish off the floor, running out of gas,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: you know, with all this stuff. And then there's type
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: C moms that they're made. They made this category and
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: it's you know, my kids eat all organic. But then
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: it shows them like handing them, you know, doing something
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: like that's completely or like having like here kids clears
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: away and it's like, you know, crap all over the
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: house is a mess. But then like, oh no, my
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: kid only needs organic. So it's like a mix of
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: the two. So she reminds me of a Type C mom.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: She's on meth, which is the type B behavior, but
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: she's got her paperwork in order, which is type eight,
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: which makes her a Type C raccoon mom.
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: It's a mixed bag, yes what I'm saying?
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: Aye, Yes, So that's what it reminded me of. All right,
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: that was a long walk, yep, it was. I think
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: we need to hang it on up.
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: I think we should.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: All right, well, I guess check out the Patreon if
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: you don't want the mads, so you can bump that
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: review up to five stars.
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: All right, you could bomp it up the five stars
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: and just leave it as it is.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: Yeah, and then Instagram, Facebook, TikTok you sound bored rate
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: review subscribe. I'm tired to do It's eleven thirty pm.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: Because what happens. We sat down to do this and
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: then our child had a night terror, which he's only
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: had ever had one other in his entire childhood, and
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: all of a sudden he started having a night terr
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: And it's kind of weird because you just don't know
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: what to do. You don't know because they won't wake up.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: So then some things say like don't touch him, but
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: then he then he was gonna if they share a
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: room with our daughter. So we're like, okay, we need
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: to get him out because he was starting to you know,
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: get her woken up, and so we're like, okay, well
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: we'll move him out to the front room. And then
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: he kind of wanted to be held, but then all
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: of a sudden he freaked out and didn't want to
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: be held. So then we just he's we just had
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: a lame on the floor and he finally calmed down.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: But it's like, weird they have these last time he
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: did it. I mean, we did everything wrong. I think
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: because we didn't know what was going on. We thought
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: he was, you know, just having a nightmare or something
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: like that because it never happened before. So we're trying
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: to wake him up, and it just made it worse
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: or some worse. And so finally I started looking up
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: because we were about to take him to the emergency room.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: We might have we might have been going to record
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: the podcast. I feel like I told this story now.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: We thought we were gonna take I was like, we
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: were on the verge of getting dressed to take him
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: to the emergency room. We thought maybe he had a stomach,
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: like something was lodged in his intestines, and so I
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: started looking it up on the thing and they're like, no,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: leave him alone. So we just so we started kind
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: of backing off, not talking to him, and just kind
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: of laid him on the floor whatever. And then all
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: of a sudden, out of nowhere, he just pops up awake,
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: looks around, grabs his blanky, and walks back to to
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: the room and lays down a coast to sleep. I
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: was like, oh my god, that was so wed. Yeah,
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: it was an hour and a half, but again, we
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: made it worse that time because we didn't know what
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: to do. This time. Again, we didn't really know what
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: to do, but we knew what not to do. So
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: once we laid him down, if he even heard us
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: start talking, he would start getting kind of upset again.
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: So he's laying on the floor, yes currently.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: Yeah, because that was the likely place he like, We
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: started talking around him and he started getting fussy. So
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: I was like, okay, we're just gonna live. Let him
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: lay in there, so hopefully when we move him, he's
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: out of his little trance. You know, he's fine, he's safe,
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: and he's happy. Right now, he's sleeping peacefully. But it's
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: just weird if anybody's had a child that has night terrors.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: But all right, okay, I'm done now, well, I guess
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: we will see you next week. Ste We will see
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: you next time.
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: Why are you're making promises.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: For episode one nine? We're moving on up in this world?
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: We anything else do now? Okay, Well, see you next time.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: Buy everyone, say bye, stuck.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: Tell you know it's bad to be SUPERSTI shots like
