But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. Matthew 22:34
“The ‘also Pharisees’, having heard that He muzzled the Sadducees, they gathered upon the same.” (CG)
In the previous verse, it was noted that when the multitudes heard Jesus’ response to the Sadducees, they were astonished at His teaching. It next says, “The ‘also Pharisees’, having heard.”
It is not said how they heard about Jesus’ response to the Sadducees. One of them may have been standing right there, interested in the conversation, or they may have heard…
