Speaker 1: Bible says, examine your motives. Speak respectfully to others as

Speaker 1: you're going about your situations. Amen, speak honest, be honest,

Speaker 1: speak the truth in love. Right, So examine your motives.

Speaker 1: Make sure you're not just out there trying to win arguments. Listen,

Speaker 1: when it comes to salvation, when it comes to the

Speaker 1: Kingdom of God, I'm not out there debating just trying

Speaker 1: to win arguments. I'm trying to reason with people to

Speaker 1: try to win the soul to the Kingdom of God. Amen.

Speaker 1: And however however they respond, that's not my responsibility. My

Speaker 1: responsibility is how I respond. My Responsibility's responsibility is my motives,

Speaker 1: my actions, my deeds, how I'm moving. I'm checking myself

Speaker 1: before I could check anybody else. Trust that. Believe that.

Speaker 1: into the flesh, I'm gonna kindly bow out the situation.

Speaker 1: you know that's up for grabs. But as long as

Speaker 1: it concerns me, the Bible says to be at peace

Speaker 1: with everyone as long as it concerns me. So before

Speaker 1: I say, you know, you better stop doing that. Meanwhile,

Speaker 1: I'm struggling in something in the same area or maybe

Speaker 1: even the same situation or the same thing that somebody

Speaker 1: else is dealing with. I don't dare point fingers. Man,

Speaker 1: I'm not a hypocrite. If you know me, you know

Speaker 1: I try to be as real as possible to the

Speaker 1: Lord and to myself. I don't have to prove nothing

Speaker 1: to anybody. I don't have to dress a certain way

Speaker 1: way for anybody. I myself because of who Jesus says

Speaker 1: So we start there. We can't fail, man, when we

Speaker 1: start with the word, when we start with what Jesus

Speaker 1: is telling us to do, Amen, we can't fail. Go

Speaker 1: to the person. Probably if your brother or sister sins

Speaker 1: go and point out their fault just between the two

Speaker 1: of you, So it goes back to the spec. It's

Speaker 1: disrespectful for me to point at your spec when I

Speaker 1: have a big log in my eyes. So that could

Speaker 1: turn into a big argument. If I say, yo, you

Speaker 1: better stop doing this and they come back and say, well,

Speaker 1: to be back and forth. That's not a display of love.

Speaker 1: That's not how Jesus wants us to do it. According

Speaker 1: if you're too angry, if you're too lonely, or you're

Speaker 1: too tired. Halt stop and check your heart. Make sure

Speaker 1: you're going into a situation not to win an argument,

Speaker 1: but to restore a relationship. Make sure you're going into

Speaker 1: a situation not just with the truth, but the truth

Speaker 1: and love. Make sure when you're going into a situation,

Speaker 1: you check your heart according to how God wants us

Speaker 1: to check our heart. Amen. So why do you look

Speaker 1: at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and

Speaker 1: pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

Speaker 1: That's another version. That's what Jesus asks, Why would you

Speaker 1: do that? Why would I do that? Amen? It doesn't

Speaker 1: make no sense. And then I'll be called out quick

Speaker 1: as a hypocrite. I said, Man, you mean to tell

Speaker 1: me that this is a scenario. I'm not saying that

Speaker 1: I do this. Still, if I go up to somebody

Speaker 1: say yeah, I saw you in the club the other night,

Speaker 1: they should literally come back to me and say, well

Speaker 1: were you doing there? Right? Years ago, we made an

Speaker 1: agreement with someone where were trying to bring the church.

Speaker 1: Me and my wife were witnessing to a lady and

Speaker 1: she said that if you come to the party. They

Speaker 1: were having some kind of birthday party inside of a nightclub.

Speaker 1: And at the time we were like, we don't want

Speaker 1: to be seen in the nightclub. We're trying to protect

Speaker 1: our reputation. But she said, listen, it's before the craziness starts,

Speaker 1: so it's like before the club's really open, maybe like

Speaker 1: from seven to nine or something like that. Come through,

Speaker 1: she said, and in turn, I'll go to your church

Speaker 1: on Sunday. So we went. We did our part. When

Speaker 1: we went online to get in, we saw people from

Speaker 1: all over the church churches all around the valley, and

Speaker 1: we asked each other, what are you doing here? And

Speaker 1: I laughed, I said, well, you're here, we're here. We

Speaker 1: have some explaining to do too. But they didn't know

Speaker 1: that we were there on our mission to try to

Speaker 1: exchange promises. We promised to be there to celebrate, and

Speaker 1: then in turn, the woman promised to come to church

Speaker 1: on that Sunday. But she never came, and we still

Speaker 1: see her every now and then. She never came to
15:46
Speaker 1: the church. She never hold her held her side of

Speaker 1: the bargain, but we did our side. Amen. So we

Speaker 1: were checking our hearts, checking our motors while we were

Speaker 1: in there. We didn't drink, we didn't smoke. People were

Speaker 1: doing anything and we were just watching and we were

Speaker 1: being respectful to the celebration of the birthday. But we

Speaker 1: didn't engage in all those other activities. And man, why

Speaker 1: because we checked our hearts and now we were going

Speaker 1: to be hypocrites and look at everybody, say what y'all

Speaker 1: doing in here when we were in there as well?

Speaker 1: I think that's a good way of thinking about it. Right,

Speaker 1: if you're in a situation, Hey, I saw you at

Speaker 1: the movie watching Sinners? What were you doing there? And

Speaker 1: should get back? What were you doing there? Right? So

Speaker 1: we can't point things out if we're in the same situation.

Speaker 1: You can't say you better stop drinking, you better stop smoking,

Speaker 1: you better stop formunicating if you yourself are in the

Speaker 1: same situation. I think that's what the Lord is asking.

Speaker 1: Why do you look at the speck of swordust in

Speaker 1: your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank

Speaker 1: in your own eye? Remember when we walk into a

Speaker 1: building that people are worshiping the Lord, that's a house

Speaker 1: full of lights. If you're coming with darkness, your darkness

Speaker 1: is going to be exposed. So don't try to hide

Speaker 1: or fake the funk when you're going to church, or

Speaker 1: when you go into communities that are filled with Christians

Speaker 1: who really believe, who are filled up with the fire God,

Speaker 1: filled up with the spirit of God, and are really

Speaker 1: the light of the world because the light exposes darkness. Wait, man,

Speaker 1: so try not to be you know, move correctly, move appropriately.

Speaker 1: Don't try to move like if nothing's going on in

Speaker 1: your life and you're just looking at everybody else and

Speaker 1: criticizing everybody else. I had to deal with that in

Speaker 1: my own life. I'm really observant, and if I'm not careful,

Speaker 1: I'll start criticizing. When I'm observing. Now, I check my

Speaker 1: heart for everything I say. I make sure am I

Speaker 1: in that same area, Am I struggling in that same way?

Speaker 1: Or am I the problem or a solution? Am I

Speaker 1: just trying to win an argument or try to restore

Speaker 1: a relationship? Trust me, I ask that often. I don't

Speaker 1: want to move. That's why people say you're so quiet,

Speaker 1: you don't say much. My wife says, you don't never complain.

Speaker 1: I do complain, but I take it to the Lord first,

Speaker 1: and then by the time you hear my complaint, it's

Speaker 1: not gonna sound like a complaint no more, because I'm

Speaker 1: checking my heart. That's what I'm saying today. We need

Speaker 1: to do a heart check in politics, right with what's

Speaker 1: going on around the world, the government authorities, with gender ideologies,

Speaker 1: school systems, education, with our leaders, church leaders, with our friends,

Speaker 1: with our family members, check our motives, check our own

Speaker 1: hearts before we go into situations pointed fingers, because we

Speaker 1: might walk into a situation where we're so hypocritical and

Speaker 1: we're telling people you better stop moving that way, you

Speaker 1: better stop doing this xyz. Amen. Meanwhile, when they know

Speaker 1: that we ain't right either, So that's going to turn

Speaker 1: into the argument. That's not going to turn into something peaceful. Ooh,

Speaker 1: something just flew my face. That's going to turn into

Speaker 1: the argument. Amen. So we don't want that. We don't

Speaker 1: want that. And I guess I got some mouth angry

Speaker 1: that I think flew round in my face. Who he

Speaker 1: was angry? Man, Check your motives. Okay, it's attracted to

Speaker 1: time to go into the Word of God, pray fast,

Speaker 1: read the word, apply the word right, and be a

Speaker 1: Bible study person. Be biblically sound check your heart, check

Speaker 1: your motives, check what you're watching, check what you're listening,

Speaker 1: Listen to what you're saying. He slow to speak, be

Speaker 1: quick to listen. Let's apply what we know to be

Speaker 1: true from the scriptures in our lives and we will

Speaker 1: benefit and everybody around us will benefit from that way

Speaker 1: of moving, that way of life as well. Amen. So

Speaker 1: this world, then we will be really afraid of an

Speaker 1: angry God daily because a lot is going on. There's
