06:45 --> 06:53 Okay, so in this scene, we've got Apollo and Rocky watching the Rocky II fight sequence. 06:53 --> 06:55 But the rematch between Apollo and Rocky. 06:55 --> 06:57 And they're watching on Rocky's television. 06:57 --> 07:00 Again, we've mentioned this before, Rubin, in a previous episode. 07:00 --> 07:02 Where we have this movie trope. 07:03 --> 07:11 Where somehow the people in the movie are watching past footage of a movie experience that they were a part of. 07:12 --> 07:15 But it's the same footage that we watched. 07:15 --> 07:15 As a film goer. 07:16 --> 07:19 We watched a cinematic filming of. 07:19 --> 07:20 Of a Rocky fight. 07:20 --> 07:21 Yeah. 07:21 --> 07:23 We watched boxing matches at some point in our life. 07:23 --> 07:25 Like Tyson or me, especially when we were kids. 07:25 --> 07:26 You're just watching the match. 07:27 --> 07:29 Not this widescreen. 07:29 --> 07:30 Right. 07:30 --> 07:30 Yeah. 07:30 --> 07:31 So I understand. 07:31 --> 07:33 I don't know how else they could have done it back then. 07:33 --> 07:38 They'd have to reshoot the fight to make it seem like they're watching a proper boxing match fight on TV. 07:38 --> 07:45 But we're to believe that the fight that they're watching on TV is the way viewers saw it worldwide on closed circuit television. 07:45 --> 07:46 But let's check it out. 07:46 --> 07:48 So they're watching the footage. 07:48 --> 07:49 And they're having some laughs. 07:49 --> 07:50 And they're chuckling about it. 07:50 --> 07:52 They think it's pretty great to watch this fight. 07:52 --> 07:53 That took place in their life. 07:53 --> 07:55 I guess this would have taken place in 79. 07:56 --> 07:57 And this is about 85. 07:57 --> 08:01 So it's about five to six years since they've had this fight. 08:01 --> 08:03 Has passed in the Rocky world. 08:03 --> 08:04 It's about five to six years. 08:06 --> 08:07 They're reliving it together. 08:07 --> 08:09 And that's kind of an interesting experience. 08:09 --> 08:10 If you think about it. 08:10 --> 08:13 These two professional athletes are watching the fight. 08:14 --> 08:18 And Apollo is watching the fight where essentially Rocky beats him. 08:18 --> 08:20 Fair and square in a knockout victory. 08:21 --> 08:22 And they're laughing at it. 08:22 --> 08:25 Apollo says, you know, what are you using for... 08:25 --> 08:29 He basically calls out Rocky for blocking punches with his face. 08:29 --> 08:30 Which is... 08:30 --> 08:33 So they're watching the fight together as now as friends. 08:33 --> 08:34 And Rocky makes a comment. 08:35 --> 08:36 I'm just getting punchy watching this. 08:37 --> 08:39 You know, he's reliving the experience of being in the ring with Apollo. 08:40 --> 08:44 And Apollo comments on all the hits that Rocky's taking to the face. 08:44 --> 08:47 And he's still blown away by Rocky's ability to take punches. 08:48 --> 08:49 Because he goes, what are you using for a chin there? 08:50 --> 08:52 Because we hear if a boxer goes down easy, they have a glass jaw. 08:53 --> 08:53 Yeah. 08:53 --> 08:55 But Rocky's got an iron jaw. 08:55 --> 08:57 You punch Rocky in the head a hundred times, he doesn't get knocked down. 08:57 --> 08:59 So Apollo makes that comment. 08:59 --> 09:02 Apollo goes, everybody's basically cheering for you when you're in the ring. 09:03 --> 09:04 But once you're out, you're ancient history. 09:05 --> 09:07 Now, we mentioned that before with Kyle. 09:07 --> 09:08 When Kyle was on there, Ruben. 09:08 --> 09:10 And he mentioned... 09:10 --> 09:14 We talked about how Apollo feels like he's not feeling the love anymore. 09:14 --> 09:16 He's not getting autographs anymore. 09:16 --> 09:18 Now, I understand that's just a writing trope. 09:18 --> 09:20 Again, I hate to use that word trope. 09:20 --> 09:23 But this is just a story that we're trying to tell here. 09:23 --> 09:26 But nowadays, ex-champions, they're still very popular. 09:27 --> 09:33 Yeah, but I guess there's that element where you're not a huge celebrity anymore. 09:33 --> 09:35 Like, here's a for example. 09:36 --> 09:40 I used to have a cable access show called The Ruben Show. 09:40 --> 09:40 Right? 11:02 --> 11:04 The Presidents of the United States of America? 11:05 --> 11:06 I do, Ruben. 11:06 --> 11:07 I remember that band. 11:08 --> 11:09 Peaches come from a can. 11:09 --> 11:11 They were put there by a man in a factory downtown. 11:11 --> 11:13 I eat peaches every day if I had my own way. 11:14 --> 11:17 Anyways, long story short, Ryan was living in Washington at the time. 11:17 --> 11:18 I went to go visit. 11:18 --> 11:22 And I'm like, oh, who's in Seattle that's kind of semi-famous that we could interview? 11:22 --> 11:27 Long story short, I emailed Chris Ballou, the singer of the Presidents of the United States of America. 11:28 --> 11:33 And then I said, hey, I noticed that you now are a children's singer. 11:34 --> 11:35 Now he sings children's songs. 11:36 --> 11:37 We went and interviewed him. 11:37 --> 11:38 We had a really great time. 11:38 --> 11:39 It was a really great time. 11:39 --> 11:47 Now, what are the chances, Ryan, that we would have been able to be invited into his personal house during this time? 11:47 --> 12:14 So you probably remember that song now, guys. 12:14 --> 12:22 So basically Ruben's saying, at the height of this song, what are the chances that Ruben and I would have been able to go in with a camera, interview this guy? 14:11 --> 14:16 And of course, Apollo goes, well, if it's not against him, who is it against then? 14:16 --> 14:20 Rocky answers and says, well, do you think maybe it's you against you? 14:20 --> 14:23 And Apollo laughs it off and says, oh, I think you really are getting brain damage. 14:23 --> 14:25 Now, Apollo, you're a smart guy. 14:25 --> 14:27 Rocky's making a pretty good analogy here. 14:28 --> 14:28 Yeah. 14:28 --> 14:30 He's just protecting himself, Carl. 14:30 --> 14:31 Yeah. 14:31 --> 14:31 Carl?
