- 0:00Speaker 1: Cute. You think it's cute, You're a fool.
- 0:04Speaker 2: It's one more thing.
- 0:06Speaker 1: I'm strong and getty. One more thing.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Can I throw him something real quick?
- 0:11Speaker 3: Just because I just saw it and it's on my
- 0:13Speaker 3: mind share it's a couple of people arguing on Twitter.
- 0:17Speaker 2: They're like high level journalist types.
- 0:19Speaker 1: But well, I'm sorry to hear people are yelling at
- 0:21Speaker 1: each other on Twitter. I hope they can settle that
- 0:24Speaker 1: end complete.
- 0:24Speaker 3: But this is a lifestyle of thing. And the one
- 0:27Speaker 3: person tweeted out, and I don't know anything about this person,
- 0:29Speaker 3: but the one person tweeted out, I'm never planning on
- 0:32Speaker 3: having kids. I'd much rather own a Porsche and have
- 0:34Speaker 3: a Portuguese water dog and a golden doodle. And then
- 0:37Speaker 3: another person responded that with I feel bad for people
- 0:41Speaker 3: who don't have kids because they believe owning a Porsche
- 0:43Speaker 3: is going to be more fulfilling.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Wow.
- 0:46Speaker 2: I thought that was a pretty good little battle. I
- 0:49Speaker 2: just can't imagine tweeting that out loud, even back.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Before I had kids, never planning on I have kids
- 0:55Speaker 3: because I'd much rather own a Porsche.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Doesn't that sound shallow to you? Even if you, I
- 1:01Speaker 2: mean fine, don't have kids? You know, but doesn't that
- 1:03Speaker 2: sound incredibly shallow to you? I mean to use that
- 1:06Speaker 2: as an example.
- 1:07Speaker 4: If that's their opinion, I'm kind of glad they're not reproducing.
- 1:10Speaker 2: That's a pretty good point right there. But do you
- 1:12Speaker 2: use you? I'd rather dedicate my time to art or something. Fine, Okay,
- 1:16Speaker 2: I still think it's wrong.
- 1:17Speaker 1: But yeah, I just the performative hyper confidence that everybody
- 1:22Speaker 1: has to have on everything, the idea of saying, you know,
- 1:25Speaker 1: it's not right for me now, but maybe someday people
- 1:28Speaker 1: change their minds. I mean, that's just that's not gonna
- 1:31Speaker 1: get likes, that's not gonna get retweets. You gotta be
- 1:35Speaker 1: you're an idiot and I'm great. No, I oh, just
- 1:38Speaker 1: so tiring, just so tiring.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Well I shouldn't bring this up. I know what you're
- 1:43Speaker 2: gonna say.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Oh as well, Oh here you go. Here's my favorite
- 1:49Speaker 1: porst joke and I owned one. What's the difference between
- 1:53Speaker 1: a portion of porcupine porcupine that pricks are on the outside.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Hey, I remember this joke going around high school, which
- 2:02Speaker 3: I thought was awful about this one girl? You know,
- 2:05Speaker 3: it's the difference between.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Oh no, is this going to make my heart hurt.
- 2:09Speaker 3: You know, it's a difference between Marcy and a Porsche.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Not everyone's been in a Porsche's.
- 2:16Speaker 2: That's course.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I don't like it.
- 2:17Speaker 3: High school joke. And if that thought that was course,
- 2:20Speaker 3: wait till the rest of the pot. I got two
- 2:21Speaker 3: more things. I thought I had nothing for the podcast.
- 2:23Speaker 3: I got two more things to say.
- 2:24Speaker 2: One.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I hope they were more you know, uplifting than that
- 2:31Speaker 1: last one.
- 2:33Speaker 4: Yeah, that's only up from here.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Uh.
- 2:36Speaker 3: I don't want to hurt anybody's It's just a fact.
- 2:39Speaker 3: I know three women in their mid forties who made
- 2:46Speaker 3: the choice in life to be childless and really really
- 2:50Speaker 3: regret it now, really really regret it now, like is
- 2:55Speaker 3: like makes them cry thinking about it.
- 2:58Speaker 2: So that's common ish common ish. Yeah.
- 3:01Speaker 4: I have a couple of friends that are in that
- 3:03Speaker 4: exact same boat right now.
- 3:06Speaker 1: And folks sometimes for medical reasons or sometimes a marriage
- 3:11Speaker 1: goes sideways reasons or whatever, and the window closes. That's
- 3:13Speaker 1: that's very hard for them too.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Well that's why I threw in the phrase chose, you know,
- 3:20Speaker 3: wasn't a medical thing or something.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Sure, this was lifestyle. What kind of were you going with?
- 3:24Speaker 2: I'd rather own a.
- 3:25Speaker 4: Porsche, Yeah, this was like a failed marriage that ended
- 3:29Speaker 4: horribly and she said, screw it, I'm not doing this anymore.
- 3:31Speaker 4: And now we're like years down the road, and she's.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Like, that is definitely an evange you have a man,
- 3:36Speaker 3: because I didn't. I didn't have kids, so I was
- 3:37Speaker 3: forty five. It was an option for me as a dude. Right,
- 3:40Speaker 3: she's got to find a younger woman. And what was
- 3:44Speaker 3: my other thing? I was gonna say, Oh, so I'm
- 3:46Speaker 3: picking up my son from the high school the other day.
- 3:48Speaker 3: This is on the cruelty of high schoolers. I'm picking
- 3:52Speaker 3: up my son at high school the other day, and
- 3:53Speaker 3: I got my window down and there's this one kid
- 3:55Speaker 3: that forever whatever reason, that has dress shoes on, and
- 3:59Speaker 3: he's walking across the parking lot. He's like wearing khakis
- 4:03Speaker 3: and dress shoes. And some guy goes, oh my god,
- 4:05Speaker 3: hey Jim, look at his shoes. And then they're both
- 4:08Speaker 3: like aha, like so working so hard to laugh, so
- 4:11Speaker 3: hard so they can point at somebody and mock them
- 4:14Speaker 3: and laugh.
- 4:15Speaker 1: How he's their self esteem by demeanian, Right, yes.
- 4:18Speaker 3: And you know, as they grown up having lived through that,
- 4:21Speaker 3: when it was painful for me to be on the
- 4:22Speaker 3: wrong end of that. It just looked so ridiculous, Like
- 4:26Speaker 3: why would you ever give a shit what those guys
- 4:29Speaker 3: think about your shoes? It's too bad anybody does I
- 4:31Speaker 3: know everything? Like why people did they pretend to Why
- 4:35Speaker 3: do they need to elevate themselves by trying to make
- 4:38Speaker 3: that person feel worse because they had to go to
- 4:40Speaker 3: their I don't know, they had to go to the
- 4:43Speaker 3: something at the church or funeral or who knows why
- 4:45Speaker 3: they're wearing dress shoes, But it's just it was so like.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Ha ha, look at his shoes, ha ha ha, what
- 4:51Speaker 2: a dork. I mean it was that my status is
- 4:53Speaker 2: now higher than his.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I would love to leave out to genderbread person
- 4:58Speaker 1: for instance, and maybe just spend ten minutes on that
- 5:01Speaker 1: someday in like fifth grade, I.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Almost wanted to go over and talk to that guy.
- 5:04Speaker 3: He didn't seem to be particular botter, but you never
- 5:06Speaker 3: know what's going on inside his brain. Let's say, don't
- 5:10Speaker 3: give a shit with those dicks. Think when you're older,
- 5:13Speaker 3: you will not It will not make any difference whatsoever.
- 5:17Speaker 4: One of the many reasons why I am so glad
- 5:19Speaker 4: I'm no longer in Icecho.
- 5:20Speaker 3: No kidding, no, kidding, or at least you have the
- 5:22Speaker 3: mind you have now, I can go back to high
- 5:24Speaker 3: school now would be hilarious. People pointing in laughing over
- 5:27Speaker 3: everything's really what are you doing?
- 5:29Speaker 2: Whatever? It's just why would I freaking care what you think?
- 5:33Speaker 1: Oh? That would be you know, it's funny. I was
- 5:35Speaker 1: about to say, I wouldn't sentence al Qaeda to four
- 5:37Speaker 1: years of high school. It's too cruel. On the other hand,
- 5:41Speaker 1: when if you could bring your life experience and confidence back.
- 5:44Speaker 2: For yeah, oh yeah.
- 5:46Speaker 1: That would be. That would be super great in some
- 5:51Speaker 1: ways at least yeah huh. Anyway, ah, golly gy, do
- 5:56Speaker 1: I even have the energy to do this?
- 5:58Speaker 2: Maybe save it for another day your choice.
