- 1:41girls, children of all ages, wonder of us all is in the file
- 1:48now. Ladies and gentlemen, we are now
- 1:51speaking to former Vikings linebacker and current Vikings
- 1:54radio broadcaster, our friend, the one, the only, Pete Bersik
- 2:01Petey. What's up, my friend?
- 2:02How are you guys? You're worldwide now.
- 2:04That's pretty. That's pretty impressive.
- 2:06Thank you, man. And we're a top 200 show.
- 2:08We've been a top 200 show for the last couple of months in the
- 2:12country on Spotify and Apple. We're rocking it and we were at
- 2:15117 during I think the early December time, so we were almost
- 2:21in the top 100. We're not on a major network
- 2:23yet, so we're getting there and we're boxing our way through.
- 2:28My friend, how are you? Good.
- 2:30That's all the work, man. At least it pays off a little
- 2:33bit, right? I mean, you sit there and do
- 2:35this. I mean, what do you do this
- 2:37every night? Five nights a week. 7 nights a
- 2:39week. No, we actually nights a week.
- 2:41We do it Mondays and Thursdays. If I did it five nights a week,
- 2:44I wouldn't have a voice, my friend.
- 2:46I wouldn't have a voice. He.
- 2:47Tried to start singing like he tried to do in the intro.
- 2:49Pete, I'd be lost. Pete, I'd be fed to the
- 2:52crocodiles. OK at.
- 2:54Least you have a nice comfy couch now.
- 2:55I do I. Listen, inflatable or is that
- 2:58what is? That doesn't look like it's
- 3:00inflatable, my friends. Come on, come on.
- 3:04Look like I'm pressing on it. That's not inflating.
- 3:06You know, it's, it's, it's got some cushion.
- 3:08Pete But is that a air hockey table or what is that behind
- 3:12you? Yeah, it's an right now it's an
- 3:14air. It's a air hockey table.
- 3:15You can flip over. It has a pool table.
- 3:17Then we have ping pong table board that we can put on top of
- 3:21it. And that's ping pong's more my
- 3:23jam. I mean, air hockey's fine, but
- 3:25ping pong is is kind of my kind of my thing, all right?
- 3:28How could it? Only three star balls at your
- 3:31house, right? Yeah, I'm not good enough to for
- 3:35all that, but yeah, I've heard. I'm a good ping pong I've.
- 3:39Heard that before. I'm a good ping pong player.
- 3:42I don't know. I'm not that good yet.
- 3:44Well, Pete, are you willing to go out on a limb and play me in
- 3:48ping pong whenever we meet for the first time?
- 3:52Yeah, with with with biceps like that and doing push ups during
- 3:55commercial break. I don't do that buddy.
- 3:59I I don't do that there. When I do, when I do go to the
- 4:02gym, I do 3000 push ups every single week.
- 4:04The Herschel work, Herschel Walker workout.
- 4:07I do a lot of it. I I've taken in 12,000 push ups
- 4:11every single month. I do certain calisthenics
- 4:14workouts when I go to the gym. So there's a lot of things that
- 4:17I do and it keeps me young and I try to stay as young as I
- 4:20possibly can like you. You look good man, you were a
- 4:22great football. Player, If I was doing 3000 push
- 4:25ups a week, my elbows and my shoulders would be done.
- 4:29That's the hardest part. I mean, you get to a certain
- 4:32age, you just don't wake up and feel good anymore, right?
- 4:35And then as you get a little bit older, you actually have to work
- 4:40out and feel like crap in order to feel good the next day.
- 4:43It's a 0 sum game in that in that regard and it doesn't get
- 4:46any better. You're not that much older.
- 4:48Enjoy it now while you can. You're not that much older than
- 4:50me, buddy. I mean, I'm I'm 40.
- 4:53Three, there are a lot of miles on the chassis.
- 4:55Though that's true. You did play professional
- 4:57football. You did beat up your body, yeah.
- 5:00Yeah, it wasn't. Yeah, four years of Lou Holtz
- 5:03and all that. It doesn't.
- 5:04Yeah, it'll it'll shorten the lifespan.
- 5:07No. Question is a tendency to do so.
- 5:09Speaking of lifespans, JJ McCarthy, I mean, yes, here,
- 5:15here's the facts here. I mean, Sam Donald did wonders
- 5:18for you guys last year. You guys decided to part ways
- 5:21with Sam. He goes to Seattle.
- 5:23Now these one way, he's one game away from being in a Super Bowl
- 5:27and winning a Super Bowl. We all know this because I'm a
- 5:30Jet fan. We drafted him.
- 5:32He goes over there, develops over there with O'Connell, and
- 5:36now he goes over the Seattle and Seattle's enjoying the riches of
- 5:40Sam Donald. What are your thoughts of JJ
- 5:42McCarthy in his first full season as the starting
- 5:45quarterback? I mean, he, he improved to get
- 5:48better, but there is a season 1, you know, the, the problem, the
- 5:53main, I think the main challenge so right now is just
- 5:55consistency, consistency #1 and just your ability to stay on the
- 6:00field. Because it was, I mean, he's
- 6:03been around for, he's been around for two seasons, right?
- 6:06So that's 35 games because we had a playoff game.
- 6:11I believe he's missed 17 or 18 of those games at least.
- 6:18In fact, it's probably more than that.
- 6:21Yeah, it's way more than. That yeah, you're looking at 18
- 6:23plus probably 5. It's something around 10 I think
- 6:28he's played in in in in two years.
- 6:30It's just so the injury bug, the injury bugs a big deal.
- 6:35And I say this and it's more, you see it more now than you
- 6:38really than you have ever. It's just you got to stay
- 6:41healthy if you want to, if you want to continue to take your
- 6:43game to the next level, especially if your defensive
- 6:46back, your quarterback, you've got to stay healthy.
- 6:48Why? Because you're going to have a
- 6:52game plan that the coach wants you to execute to your skill
- 6:55set. You go out and execute it and
- 6:56then defenses are going to figure out a way to stop it.
- 6:59And then you sit down with the hit with your coach and you
- 7:01figure out, OK, they're doing this, so we're going to do this.
- 7:04And then you stay. It's just that it's that cat and
- 7:06mouse game, right, that you play and you have to be around week
- 7:11in and week out in order to benefit from that experience,
- 7:16right? You're not, you're not going to
- 7:19take it to the next level or it's going to be much more
- 7:21difficult to take to the next level if you're just not in,
- 7:24you're in and you're out. And I mean, the, the, the, the
- 7:27injuries are very frustrating. It's a concussion ankle and
- 7:32they're all different. It's not like it's the same body
- 7:34part that's failing. It's just constant plays against
- 7:37Green Bay and then runs the ball out of bounds.
- 7:39He lowers his shoulder and tries to run over a defensive back on
- 7:42his way out of bounds. And it's like, have you not
- 7:44learned anything yet since the NFL?
- 7:47These are men. You're going to get hit and
- 7:48you're going to get hurt again. And you can't, you know, you
- 7:51can't afford that. So I think from that aspect of
- 7:54it, if that's the most frustrating part, we just never
- 7:57really got to see him put together 456 games.
- 8:01There's always something nagging.
- 8:03There's always, you know, every Tuesday you're sitting there
- 8:05going, Oh my God, what's it going to be this week?
- 8:08And it's going to slow his progress is he's already 2 years
- 8:11into it, right? He's only 22.
- 8:13I actually just had a birthday. So he might be 23 or yeah, he
- 8:17might be just turned 23. So that part of it is that part
- 8:22of it is frustrating. You know, a lot of interceptions
- 8:25this year. Six of his, I think he had 10 or
- 8:2912 by the end of the season. I don't know off the top of my
- 8:31head. They were targeting Justin
- 8:34Jefferson and that you know, you have Justin Jefferson who whose
- 8:38cap number is going to be close to 50 million this year.
- 8:42You know, they may restructure them.
- 8:43So you have that, you have that that piece.
- 8:47You got to find a way to get the football to them.
- 8:49And you know, that relationship I don't think really blossomed
- 8:55at all. You know, even more toward the
- 8:57end of the season. As you know, Justin Jefferson I
- 8:59believe in week five against Cleveland was his last 100 yard
- 9:03performance. So, you know, you, yeah, you
- 9:08scratch your head and you go, OK, so he had a Justin Jefferson
- 9:13had a touchdown against Detroit. I believe that was Week 6 or 7
- 9:18or somewhere in there right around.
- 9:19The middle not to spoil them out of the playoffs.
- 9:22Well, no. This is the first time we played
- 9:23it when we kind of surprised everybody.
- 9:26But that was his. That was his last touchdown.
- 9:29He scored one on opening night fourth quarter to beat the Bears
- 9:32and then scored one against Detroit and that was it.
- 9:34So again, you, you can't, there's a lot there that needs
- 9:41to be developed. He, he's made some great throws,
- 9:44shown some accuracy, done some good things from getting out of
- 9:48the pocket. He he's, he's athletic, not as
- 9:51athletic as your guy. I think dart is is more
- 9:53athletic. Well, he's not my I'm sorry.
- 9:55He's with the Giants. I don't know why you're
- 10:00laughing. That's true.
- 10:03I didn't think all the interceptions, you guys.
- 10:07Anyway, I digress. But yeah, we're, you know, it's
- 10:12you look at Darnold. I mean, Donald was Darnold was
- 10:15cut before we ever signed him because you drafted JJ McCarthy
- 10:20#10 you traded up to get him round one a year before.
- 10:23And so that decision was already made.
- 10:25So it's not as if the Vikings didn't keep Darnold.
- 10:27They offered him a contract, says that Darnold said, no, I'm
- 10:30I need to be the man and the starter.
- 10:32And Seattle said, OK, here's a, here's a ton of money, let's go.
- 10:35It's tough, it's the first time in the history the NFL at a
- 10:38quarterback won 14 games with the team and didn't return with
- 10:41said team and now he's a game away from going to the Super
- 10:44Bowl. So tough to see.
- 10:45Makes you wonder. But when you draft the
- 10:47quarterback in the 1st. All right, there you go.
- 10:50Here he goes. Here he goes, There he goes.
- 10:52Ladies and gentlemen, I was waiting.
- 10:54I was waiting for him to bring up the New York Jets, but that's
- 10:57calming. Ladies, I will stop it.
- 11:00I was surprised Jackson Dart was worked in tabs jab.
- 11:03Yeah, he came up with a came with a new bag of tricks.
- 11:06It's coming, ladies and gentlemen.
- 11:09So I just continue on with the passing game, the Vikings
- 11:11offense. I think a lot of other
- 11:13circumstances obviously happening.
- 11:15Obviously Addison with a suspension, then he was kind of
- 11:17up and down without the offensive line injuries.
- 11:18I was actually at the Vikings Giants game right before
- 11:21Christmas and I think one of the Vikings interior offensive
- 11:24lineman got hurt in that game and Hawkinson, same kind of
- 11:26thing. Do you think McCarthy didn't
- 11:28trust a lot of those guys and was 1 read to Jefferson a lot of
- 11:31the time or do you think it's a lot about the offensive
- 11:32coaching? The offense has changed quite a
- 11:34bit from this year to last year. We last year with Darnold, the
- 11:38very vertical team and Darnold can make those throws a lot of
- 11:43deep over routes, you know, double moves, things like that,
- 11:48a lot of progress, you know, pure progressive progression
- 11:51type reads where you you're not necessarily you don't
- 11:55necessarily know where you're going to go with the ball pre
- 11:57snap. You read as you go, which takes
- 12:00a little bit longer. And yeah, it it didn't quite
- 12:06work out very well early on. And I think we saw the offense
- 12:11change a little bit along the way and they simplified it, cut
- 12:15the field in half form, made some good throws.
- 12:18But it's just it's not the style of offense I think that Justin
- 12:22Jefferson is best suited for. We'll see.
- 12:26Well, you know, they'll, they'll get there, I would assume.
- 12:28But, you know, right now, we'll see.
- 12:31But it's, yeah, it's it's a little disappointing on that
- 12:36end. Turnovers killed us.
- 12:39Penalties killed us early. I mean, we were last in the
- 12:43league in sack rate, which Chris Cooper, our offensive line coach
- 12:48was was let go. So they're going to try to make
- 12:50some changes there. Yeah.
- 12:52So we're we're still. Yeah.
- 12:55Ryan Kelly's the center. He's the guy that you're talking
- 12:57about. He just got back from a
- 12:59concussion and got another one, so he might be done.
- 13:02His career might be over with. I think he had three of them
- 13:05this year, so 2 for sure. So yeah, it's we got a lot of
- 13:09rebuilding to do. We are talking to former Vikings
- 13:12linebacker and Curry Vikings radio broadcaster Pete Bursick.
- 13:16He's been on our show quite a few times and very likable
- 13:20person. We love him and we've gone we've
- 13:23gone back and forth. We still haven't met.
- 13:25We still haven't gone to a game where and.
- 13:28I got a ping pong rules hasn't. Put me.
- 13:30He hasn't put me on a broadcast. Because I was in New York, I was
- 13:33in New York. We what?
- 13:35We came out there Thursday before the Giants game.
- 13:38Yeah, I get it. I was.
- 13:39I got a cold though. I was at that game.
- 13:40It was a birthday guy. I don't know, I totally forgot
- 13:42I. Forgot about us, Pete.
- 13:44We're, we're not a forgetful bunch of guys, but you're
- 13:47forgetting about us. I'm, I'm, I'm a little upset
- 13:49man. Little upset there, but you
- 13:51know. Like the rest of the New York
- 13:52teams and you, you work out of New Jersey.
- 13:56Well, well, there's a lot to get into.
- 13:58I mean, my take on John Harbaugh was pretty much the Giants don't
- 14:03have anything. And for him to come out and say
- 14:05that the Atlanta Falcons are not the better team is a ridiculous
- 14:08take. It just tells me that he's going
- 14:10for the money and that's that's the facts.
- 14:12And and, and and I like Jackson Dart, but we don't know what
- 14:16Jackson Dart is. The guy doesn't obviously throw
- 14:18the ball. He slides.
- 14:19He doesn't slide very much. He puts himself in harm's way.
- 14:23When is it going to take? We saw scataboo.
- 14:25We've heard that. We've seen the stuff and I said
- 14:27that about Scatterpot watch he's going to have a bad injury this
- 14:30year. He's going to go down.
- 14:30He's not going to be the same person as same player And what
- 14:33happens? He goes down, he has a horrible
- 14:35injury and and Cam Scatterpot might not be the same person.
- 14:38I just, you play that way, it's going to eventually haunt you.
- 14:42And I think John Harbaugh is an interesting selection.
- 14:46I think the Giants think that they won something, but they
- 14:49still got Joe Shane there. And now you got to they're
- 14:52they're becoming The Jets now because now they got to answer
- 14:54to ownership. When have you heard a coach in
- 15:00AGM go and have to talk to ownership before they make a
- 15:04move? The New York Jets, it's typical.
- 15:07So how is this work? It doesn't work.
- 15:10So it tells me the Giants are putting themselves in a really
- 15:13bad position. And by the way, and I said this
- 15:16and I'll say it again and you can say this and I, Pete, you
- 15:18might like John and I, I don't hate John.
- 15:21What does he won besides taking over for a Ray?
- 15:25You know, remember he took Ray Lewis, he took Ed, Ed Reed, he
- 15:29took Suggs. These weren't his guys.
- 15:31He took those guys on a roster that was pretty much made for
- 15:35him to win. And he won with that roster.
- 15:37Since then, his development of Lamar Jackson is guess what?
- 15:41Lamar Jackson didn't want him there.
- 15:42Lamar was the reason why he didn't go back.
- 15:45So that tells me one thing. It tells me that he lost his
- 15:48team. He lost his one player, the
- 15:50player that he believed was on his side.
- 15:53So what it tells me is John Harbaugh is going to be there.
- 15:57He signed A5 year deal. He won't be there more than
- 16:00three or four years. He will fail over there with the
- 16:02Giants and then he'll ride off into the sunset like all the
- 16:05other coaches and GM's. As I wrote my story, they've had
- 16:09four coaches and three GM's in 10 years.
- 16:11Failure, failure, failure, failure.
- 16:14He's got a chance though. We'll see.
- 16:16I mean, it's crazy this year, the decisions that that have
- 16:20been have been made like in Buffalo, you know, what's what
- 16:25ultimately went down there. And and you're right too, we
- 16:28don't know. We don't know all the stories.
- 16:30I mean, if it came down to the quarterback or the head coach
- 16:34and something had to give, sometimes it's a lot easier to
- 16:38get rid of a head coach than it is a quarterback.
- 16:40There early he was. Critical of the Bills roster or
- 16:42something like before the playoffs?
- 16:43And you know, it's funny, I'm sorry to cut you off.
- 16:45And the reason why I'm flipping it is if you look at what's
- 16:48going on with Buffalo and you look at what's going on with the
- 16:50Giants, I know a lot of Jet fans are saying Aaron Glenn this and
- 16:53Aaron Glenn that, but Dan Campbell, his first year only
- 16:56had three wins and this was not Aaron Glenn's team.
- 16:59And look at the draft stock The Jets have right now moving
- 17:03forward. And they can move down in the in
- 17:06the first round at second because there isn't going to be
- 17:08a quarterback available now that Dante Moore is going back into
- 17:12the either, He's going to the portal, he's going back to
- 17:15Oregon. So The Jets are in the driver's
- 17:18seat once again to really put themselves in a great position.
- 17:22And they have a lot of money. They have third most money in
- 17:25the offseason to add players. So the driver seat is, I don't
- 17:29care what John Harpo said and said.
- 17:31And I heard there was a story that came out that The Jets
- 17:33reached out to him and he didn't want to even have a conversation
- 17:36with The Jets. Well, guess what, John, let's
- 17:38see how you work with $11 million.
- 17:40Let's see what you work with with the least amount of draft
- 17:43stock that you have in the next two years.
- 17:45And we'll see how that all works with you and this organization,
- 17:48which you got to go to John Mayer to make decisions.
- 17:50Wonderful. I can't wait.
- 17:52This isn't Ozzie Newsome, This is John Mayer who decided or
- 17:56didn't speak up for Saquon Barkley.
- 17:58And what did he do? He almost broke Eric Dickerson's
- 18:00record. And by the way, Saquon Barkley
- 18:02won a Super Bowl last year. Kiss my ass, Johnny.
- 18:06Yeah, I'm speechless. I don't know what to say about
- 18:08after that one. I'm sorry, Pete, I'm just.
- 18:10No, I don't. Apologize, I'm trying to.
- 18:12I'm trying to. Wear it on your sleeve man, it's
- 18:14a good thing. I, I'm trying to be an
- 18:16influencer here and I, I, I, if anybody that listens to the show
- 18:19knows that I'm out of my mind. I, I speak the truth and I'm a
- 18:23personality. And I'm not going to sit here
- 18:25and beat around the Bush if you're going to sell me.
- 18:27I wrote a book. I wrote a book, I wrote.
- 18:29I wrote a story that drew 20,000 fans to attack me on social
- 18:35media. Now I've been writing a lot and
- 18:37terrorizing the Reddit area of the world and my store user.
- 18:42That's a rough. I love it.
- 18:44I love it. Pete if you want if you want to
- 18:46respond to all his articles where all the worldwide sports
- 18:49radio website worldwide. Pete, I got to send, we got to,
- 18:52we got to swap. We got to swap numbers.
- 18:53I got to send you some of the the stories that I write.
- 18:55I think you would enjoy it. You'll laugh your ass off.
- 18:58Yeah, it'd be good. I will.
- 19:00And I'll, I'll have speed to get your number.
- 19:01But I have been a person of personality over the over the
- 19:07years and I've always come out and I've told you from from the
- 19:10gun how I feel about something. And I'm not going to beat around
- 19:13the Bush. And if there's any Bush that I'm
- 19:15beating around, it's the Bush that Speedy needs to cut.
- 19:17So, but my thought here is, yeah, if you look at all three
- 19:26New York teams, if you're in a driver's seat right now, I, I,
- 19:31Josh Allen is by far the best quarterback.
- 19:33And The Jets don't have a quarterback and the Giants think
- 19:36they have a quarterback. Besides that, the team that's in
- 19:39the driver's seat right now, as much as you don't want to
- 19:42believe it, is the New York Jets.
- 19:45And for John Harbaugh to come out and say, well, I don't even
- 19:48want to talk to them, they're not worth my time, tells me that
- 19:53John Harbaugh is doing one thing and one thing only.
- 19:56Not doing yourself, you know, a service on understanding what's
- 20:00out there and the possibilities of taking a team that's failed
- 20:04for 50 years or 60 years on not. A Super Bowl and bringing them
- 20:09to the winning ways that they want to be.
- 20:11That's the way you go. You don't go to a team.
- 20:13Oh, I'm going to go and jump and and be a Mara bitch, you know,
- 20:17'cause that's what he is. He's a Mara bitch.
- 20:18So that's, that's what he is. He took the money.
- 20:22He's a bitch and that's the way I look at it.
- 20:25And until he proves me otherwise, the fact that he has
- 20:28say what say do you have? You have $11 million, you are
- 20:31going to have to move text to Lawrence, here's your best
- 20:34defensive lineman who wasn't healthy this year and you're
- 20:37going to move your best defensive lineman because you
- 20:39can't afford them. And that tells me an incompetent
- 20:43GM and he's still there running the show and telling you what he
- 20:47is doing and you're going to have say on it.
- 20:49Good friggin luck. That's all I'm going to say.
- 20:53Good luck. If that is the case, then there
- 20:55will be clues because that, you know, coaches will never come
- 20:58out and say what exactly is going on.
- 21:01But he'll I think Harbaugh would make it clear that he's not
- 21:04making personnel decisions. If I, you know, keep an eye out
- 21:08for any any comments along those lines where you know, and I'm
- 21:12not I don't do personnel or it's, you know, I don't make
- 21:15those final decisions. You know, those are the those
- 21:17are the little Nuggets that you that's how you read between the
- 21:20lines with with coach speak. They're good at it.
- 21:22They're good. I mean, and I think the other
- 21:24thing too might be just what are your thoughts on just the
- 21:27divisions that the Giants are more likely to succeed right in
- 21:31the NFC East then maybe a team is now with the emergence of New
- 21:36England? Here's what I'm going to tell
- 21:38you. The Giants have to still deal
- 21:40with the Eagles and I'm sorry, the Eagles have a way built more
- 21:45talented machine over there. They still got to deal with the
- 21:48Cowboys. The Cowboys are missing a corner
- 21:50and a defensive lineman to be an elite team.
- 21:53OK, elite maybe a little more. I I don't really think so.
- 21:56I I think they're real. Maybe maybe another corner.
- 21:58They bring George Pickens. They have the money.
- 22:01They they have all the ability in the world to be a contender
- 22:04next year. Washington, they got to prove
- 22:06themselves. They got to stay healthy.
- 22:08The Giants are in a harder division than Jess.
- 22:09I don't trust the Patriots. They they had the third easiest
- 22:12schedule in NFL history. 3rd. Easiest schedule in NFL history.
- 22:17And let me ask you a question. As good as Drake May was and
- 22:20everybody says an MVP candidate, which is Matthew Stafford, no
- 22:23question, Drake May. Tell me, how many over 500 teams
- 22:29did he beat this year? Don't know.
- 22:32Didn't follow the Patriots. This.
- 22:33Year exactly. He won 10 games, they won 10
- 22:37games in a row and beat nobody. They beat nothing.
- 22:40And by the way. Change next year, that's for.
- 22:42Sure, Yeah, definitely will. Let's ask you how.
- 22:45How? How good did he look last this
- 22:47past week? You know, I didn't watch much of
- 22:50that game. You're better off not because
- 22:52that was the. Worst I just.
- 22:53I can only. I can only I can't dedicate 2
- 22:56entire days to it. So I don't watch the, you know,
- 22:59a little, a little bit of it. It's just turnovers were.
- 23:03Listen. Listen.
- 23:04I mean, that's that, that whole that that Texans offensive line
- 23:08was getting pushed around. They couldn't run.
- 23:09It's like you, you're thinking yourself just run the ball
- 23:12because it's better than turning it over.
- 23:14And they just couldn't even run the ball because their offensive
- 23:17line was getting destroyed, you know?
- 23:20So yeah, the Texans just yeah, they, they, they look rough.
- 23:24I I rather take a dump than watch the Texans and the
- 23:27Patriots play in that football game.
- 23:29Honestly it massive dump because I was in Montreal watching this
- 23:34game and me and my girlfriend was sitting there and was saying
- 23:36what are we watching? I.
- 23:37Mean how are you doing in Montreal?
- 23:39Well, we took a ride. We we take a vacation.
- 23:41We love Canada. So we we, we fly or drive.
- 23:45We. Usually you've been a Whistler.
- 23:47I've been a Whistler, yeah. Vancouver Whistler.
- 23:50Yeah, yeah, I, I was at the NHL draft over there in Vancouver.
- 23:54It's beautiful. It's beautiful.
- 23:55Went up there before we played, played the Seahawks this year,
- 23:59right, Thanksgiving time. It's just beautiful.
- 24:01It's Blood Canada. It's been the band for me.
- 24:03I used to go to Calgary every summer and yeah, so I'm, I'm
- 24:06with you on that. Love it and we went to Montreal
- 24:08but it was snowing. It was disgusting out.
- 24:10We did sightsee and she never got a chance to see it.
- 24:12I used to go there as a hockey player, so I I love Canada and I
- 24:16don't know if I would ever live there because the food is just
- 24:18absolutely putrid. It's horrible.
- 24:20But the the courtesy, the the politeness of people there are
- 24:26so much better here there than they are here standing.
- 24:29At a picture they will. I guess it's the king now, but
- 24:31they used to have a picture of the queen and all and all the
- 24:33hockey rinks. Yes, they have queen.
- 24:35They have pictures of all different people on their money
- 24:37too. Their money is easy to RIP, very
- 24:40nice to look at. But our money is definitely
- 24:41worth more money. So I, I'd rather play here in
- 24:44New York or in the States then play out there in Canada and
- 24:47have to deal with that. But you know, my question and
- 24:50and my thought here with with you is you mentioned the New
- 24:54York teams and there are four teams still in the playoffs.
- 24:59And there are the Rams in Seattle, the Patriots, and I
- 25:04call them shits them because Stidham is the starting
- 25:08quarterback of the Broncos going into the AFC title game.
- 25:12And this when you when you talk about the NFL and rigging
- 25:17opportunities, this is the beautiful and most polite way of
- 25:22saying, hey, Seattle or the Rams or the Patriots.
- 25:26Both teams played the Patriots in less than 10 years.
- 25:30And what a Kuwinky dink that would fall together for the old
- 25:34crafter who likes to go to massage parlors, too.
- 25:37So I I mean, this would be perfect for him.
- 25:40He could go to San Francisco and go to whatever massage parlor he
- 25:43wants. I mean your thoughts?
- 25:45You mean, well, the game's in San Jose.
- 25:47It's not really in San Fran. Well, yeah, I guess you're
- 25:50right. I mean, well, whatever you want
- 25:52to put it, whatever you want to slice it and dice it, but.
- 25:54You think they think they're going to be flipping things to
- 25:56see who gets the workout at the San Francisco facility.
- 25:59Oh well. Probably.
- 26:01All the you know with the substation.
- 26:03Radiation poisoning, yeah. All that stuff.
- 26:06Yeah, we're going there. Thank you.
- 26:07Thank you. We're heading there for the old
- 26:10Super Bowl and we're going to have to deal with that
- 26:12ourselves, so. You may want to, you know, get a
- 26:15or two of blood taken out before you go out there.
- 26:17Oh, thank you. Thank you, Pete, for making me
- 26:19feel very good about myself and heading out to San Francisco
- 26:23where the the dust is glooming and the vampires might be.
- 26:27You're going to the Super Bowl. We probably are.
- 26:29We're we're we're going to do radio row again.
- 26:31I'm not going. Probably.
- 26:32Yeah, we're we're. We're waiting on verifications.
- 26:34We're waiting for verification verifications because
- 26:38verifications don't come out until like 2 weeks before the
- 26:41Super Bowl. I got you.
- 26:42Which is absolutely pathetic. The NFL needs to stop, stop
- 26:45doing this because I'm not going unless we're doing Radio Row and
- 26:48last year, I'm not doing what we did last year.
- 26:51I, I didn't like the way here. Here's the thing with the NFL
- 26:54and I I don't disrespect anything that they've done
- 26:57building a product as good as it is.
- 27:00What I hate about the NFL is you put people at Radio Row that
- 27:04don't belong there. You have college kids that don't
- 27:07belong there. They're eating, they're doing,
- 27:09and then they're sitting at this table.
- 27:11They're not even doing anything. They're not interviewing,
- 27:13they're not doing anything. Nobody cares what they have to
- 27:15say. And we are a top 200 show in the
- 27:19country. We are better than half the
- 27:21show. We're better than every single
- 27:23show at Radio Row and we're just so you know, Pete, when we were
- 27:27at radio the last day that we were jumping table to table just
- 27:30to get our interviews. Everybody wanted to be
- 27:32interviewed by us. Everybody, everybody came to our
- 27:35table. There were people from other
- 27:37tables wanted to watch the interviews that we were giving
- 27:39because we were so outlandishly crazy.
- 27:42We didn't even they're they were amazed how I would get out
- 27:45questions not knowing who I was interviewing.
- 27:47You know how they come up to you and say, well, you're
- 27:49interviewing this guy at this time, so you have to get your I
- 27:52don't it was like right off the ball.
- 27:54You know what? Just.
- 27:55Just skip and go to the combine. All you got the combine, The
- 27:59combine radio row is fantastic. You got plenty of room.
- 28:02You can stretch out. You got all the let's go, all
- 28:05the guys on the other side of the curtain.
- 28:07You can go over there, interview players.
- 28:09Yeah, I think. Pete, let's go.
- 28:11Let's get into that. No, no, let's do it together,
- 28:13man. I'll be there.
- 28:13Let's do it. Let's work.
- 28:15What's good? It's a good bit.
- 28:17Let's do it. If you're going to be there,
- 28:18let's. College kids eating chips, you
- 28:21know none of that. You don't to deal with any of
- 28:22that. No Chips Ahoy or any of that
- 28:24stuff. I like those cookies, by the
- 28:25way. I like to dip them in a nice cup
- 28:28of milk, if you know what I mean.
- 28:29You know, a little slice, a little dice and pop it in the
- 28:32mouth, as Speedy loves to do himself, right, Speedy.
- 28:35Yes, I do like cookies, but I prefer other types of cookies
- 28:38over that. And other sausages, yeah.
- 28:40Other sausages I just say. Edie, I would caution you to
- 28:44agreeing with anything that guy say.
- 28:47I'm aware, I'm aware of that. I've I've been following for any
- 28:50of his vague terms. As he likes to put us.
- 28:54I've I've followed for enough of his traps.
- 28:56Well, you know, I, you know, I throw, I throw a leash, like
- 29:01Nathan would say. And I'm hoping that it connects
- 29:04hopefully not to the wrong people.
- 29:05So I get arrested. You don't know Nathan, but
- 29:10Nathan likes to tie leashes to women.
- 29:12I don't know, he likes to put him on a leash.
- 29:15Here, I got a tape for you. I'm putting you on a leash now.
- 29:18Breaking news. A lot of hot ladies.
- 29:20Breaking news. I got to go back off now.
- 29:22Breaking news. Do you want to jerk me off?
- 29:30The soundboard is a lot more well put together since the last
- 29:33time you were on the show. Breaking news Smell my ass.
- 29:36Breaking news story. Well, this, we, we were out.
- 29:42We're, we're a little late now. It's over 10:00.
- 29:44So, you know, the kiddies are out to bed.
- 29:48I like to have a little fun. You know, we like to enjoy our
- 29:52guests and we like to let our guests understand that we're not
- 29:56like every other show. We, we throw curve balls and we
- 29:59make sure that it sticks and hopefully it's not a dartboard.
- 30:02And, and if it is, it's going to be bullseye.
- 30:04But Speaking of Bull's eyes, I know I didn't give Speedy a
- 30:09chance to ask you a question, but here is a good question for
- 30:11you. Mike McDaniel, the announcement
- 30:14he is heading to the Chargers. What do you think that does for
- 30:19the Chargers in a new season with a healthy Slater, a healthy
- 30:23Alt, a healthy Johnson, McKay, Becton and Justin Herbert and
- 30:28Jimmy H Jim Harbaugh with Mike McDaniel calling the place?
- 30:34I think, I think that'll be, that'll be good for him, very
- 30:38good for him. You know, Herbert, Herbert's,
- 30:42Herbert's impressive. He, I think what's most
- 30:46impressive, at least until he gets to the playoffs is just how
- 30:50he doesn't turn the ball over very much.
- 30:51Same thing I think Caleb, Caleb Williams throughout the year did
- 30:55a very, very good job of and you're going to get a lot more
- 31:00creativity, a lot more energy with that offense now.
- 31:05And so that you know, everyone, it's like, it's like back and
- 31:09when they went back a year or two ago, everyone was saying I
- 31:13did the Chargers just going to be running the football, running
- 31:16the football. You know, it's Harbaugh's way.
- 31:18Well, you know, now you now you've got now you have a number
- 31:22of different things that you're going to do.
- 31:24And for, you know, for Daniels, I think it's it'll be refreshing
- 31:28for him, I think just to be a coordinator instead of having to
- 31:32take care of everything. His paychecks obviously going to
- 31:34be smaller. Well, it depends on if you have
- 31:36any time left on his contract and then still get paid, but
- 31:39it'll be responsible for a lot less.
- 31:41So I think that's going to be I think that's a good move for the
- 31:44Chargers. I really do.
- 31:45I think that's can help open up that offense quite a bit.
- 31:48So 2 coaches you're from, you're familiar with Brian Flores,
- 31:50obviously the current defensive coordinator with the Vikings and
- 31:52then Kevin Stefanski who used to be with the Vikings before you
- 31:55got the Browns job and now back with Kirk Cousins in Atlanta.
- 31:58What are your thoughts to 1st Kirk Cousins in Atlanta, that
- 32:02fancy with that fit because he'll have to play a lot of the
- 32:04year. And then Brian Flores, does he
- 32:06get a head coaching job and where?
- 32:07Do you like? Him.
- 32:08It'll be interesting to see what happens, you know, with with
- 32:11Stefanski down in Atlanta. I know Baker Mayfield's already
- 32:14taking a few shots at him. You know that that division
- 32:18needs some spicing up right at the the Falcons Buccaneers game
- 32:23need some spicing up. So Mayfield decided, all right,
- 32:26I'm going to take a few shots at coach and you know, we're going
- 32:29to we're going to see if we can get us slotted for the first
- 32:32Monday night game right there. I think they're trying to ramp
- 32:35up viewership in that regard. Kirk Cousins.
- 32:38It's one of those things where when we had Kirk Cousins, a lot
- 32:41of people complained because there was just certain things
- 32:44that he'd do. He was, he didn't scramble.
- 32:46He was in the pocket. Sometimes look brilliant, other
- 32:48times not so much. Could protect, you know, the
- 32:51protection was tough because defenses know where the
- 32:54quarterback is going to be. He's going to be in the pocket.
- 32:59And as everyone's complaining about Cousins, in the back of
- 33:03your mind, you're kind of letting them know, hey, it can
- 33:06get a hell of a lot worse, OK. I mean, no one, you know,
- 33:09everybody's upset about Cousins and what not, but it could get a
- 33:12lot worse. And in a in a lot of ways, I
- 33:14think it has. I mean, Darnold bailed us out
- 33:16last year and now we're we're finally seeing what it's like to
- 33:19develop a young quarterback. It's not fun and it takes a long
- 33:23time and, you know, for Cousins to come back, you know, I don't
- 33:31know. I mean, it's he was already, I
- 33:34think on the decline physically as you know, as he just as we
- 33:39let him go. So, you know, a couple years
- 33:41later and Achilles tear later and it's I, I think he's on that
- 33:47list for the Vikings. I don't think he's priority
- 33:50number one, but I think he might be a name that they wouldn't
- 33:53mind having back at obviously a lot lower pay scale than when we
- 33:58were paying him before. But, you know, it's ultimately
- 34:02for ultimately, I believe Stefanski's decision now, right,
- 34:05Whether or not they want to keep them or move or move on from
- 34:07them. So yeah, who knows?
- 34:11I mean, Kevin's just got to go somewhere where there's not a
- 34:14lot of quarterback controversy. You just can't seem to get,
- 34:17can't seem to get out of the way.
- 34:19He doesn't know how to. We can't.
- 34:20With any with any of that, holy cow, he.
- 34:22Doesn't know how to develop them.
- 34:24We are talking to former Vikings linebacker and current Vikings
- 34:27radio broadcaster, our friend Pete Persik.
- 34:30He's drinking an energy drink. It looks like he's trying to
- 34:33keep the speed up because he's about to fall asleep.
- 34:36There it is, monster. If you want to have a heart
- 34:39attack, you can fart. It I farted.
- 34:42Fart your way out drinking some monster, ladies and gentlemen.
- 34:45As Nathan would say, I farted or.
- 34:48I want her melons. You can get her melons too.
- 34:50If you want a monster, you can get his melons and her melons
- 34:53and everybody else's melons. Bagel.
- 34:55Hole Bagel hole. Anyways, before we let you go
- 34:58man, because I know you're busy and I like I said, we'll swap.
- 35:02Not really. That's good.
- 35:03All right. Maybe.
- 35:04He's prepping his ping pong trash talking.
- 35:07That's true. I mean, we could trash talk
- 35:09anytime you want, Pete. I mean.
- 35:10I well, you know, one thing, just to, if I, if you don't mind
- 35:14if I jump in, go ahead. I started my I started a YouTube
- 35:17channel. Oh, OK.
- 35:19It's called eye in the sky. It's at Pete versus 56.
- 35:24And I do a lot, I do the the film breakdowns, but I do them
- 35:30taking my time talking to the talking to the viewer, talking
- 35:34about matchups throughout the season.
- 35:36But a lot of it's just pure, you know, just plain old football.
- 35:40One of the videos like this when I got up here, Dallas Turner and
- 35:43his his growth and progress, what he's doing better.
- 35:46It's really it's just something I enjoy just kind of teaching
- 35:52the game to fans, because I think the game is a lot more
- 35:55compelling when you understand what's going on out there.
- 35:58The more you understand about what's going on out there, the
- 36:02more fun it is to watch these games instead of having a bet
- 36:05money on them and all that to make them interesting.
- 36:07You can once you learn enough about them and it's that's kind
- 36:11of that's kind of life, right? You know more you like you try
- 36:14to learn something every day. I'm still trying to learn the
- 36:16game, but I get to sit down and share that with the fans.
- 36:19Mostly like the fans, but there's all other, you know,
- 36:22there's all kinds of stuff on. There well, you're great, I just
- 36:25hate you 2 because the the algorithms and the change it to
- 36:28transition it just. Yeah, I, yeah.
- 36:31It's like, it's one of those things where I'm doing this just
- 36:33to get it out, just to just to put it out there.
- 36:35Yeah, I got it. And it's like with the
- 36:37algorithm, you know? Yeah, I understand that.
- 36:40It's there's a game within a game.
- 36:42Right. You're a game within a game.
- 36:44And Pete, your brain is a game within a game.
- 36:46I mean your voice, your perception, your thoughts, your
- 36:51personality, everything about you we love I got to see.
- 36:54About that. I do.
- 36:55I, I do. I love you.
- 36:56You're one of my favorite guests.
- 36:58You know, I should have, I should have had my guitar all
- 37:01hooked up for you. That would be good.
- 37:03I mean going. To play some, play some, you
- 37:07know, Slayer, Metallica. That's what I'm talking about.
- 37:10For Whom the Bell Tolls. Donna.
- 37:12Donna Dong. Yeah.
- 37:16I I I used to, I used to cover a lot of bands, man.
- 37:20I was a drummer, as you know. But really, yeah, I was a
- 37:24drummer. Battle of the Bands.
- 37:26I I drummed for a group called Taylon.
- 37:28I I actually sang backup. I actually had a decent voice
- 37:32when I was younger. Let's let's, let's see top three
- 37:35drummers go. Man, the guy, the guy from Dream
- 37:39Theater is definitely one of them.
- 37:46I OK Dave Matthews Band lead drum drummer.
- 37:50He he's fantastic and Motörhead the motor the the drummer from
- 37:56or left or left Def Leppard, the drummer from Def Leppard.
- 38:02With the one arm. Yeah, yeah, I.
- 38:03Like him too. I like him too.
- 38:05Can't remember names, right? No, not a wrestling match, but
- 38:08I, I, I, I, I'm not an arm wrestler.
- 38:11I'm more of a Mercy. He's a, he's an electronic drum
- 38:13guy. Yes, I was waiting.
- 38:15I was waiting to hear some Neil Pert, some John Bonham.
- 38:19Yeah. Listen, listen.
- 38:19Something like that. I can't remember names right now
- 38:22because my, my head is spinning. I mean, I drove almost, I would
- 38:26say in the last five days, I drove about 20 something hours.
- 38:31I mean, it's it's enough for me. I'm a little tired, you know?
- 38:34He'll do it to you. Yeah.
- 38:35But I I try to give him a live, you know, personality.
- 38:38By the way, one of our fans wanted me to ask you this
- 38:40question. O'Connell, is he on the hot
- 38:43seat? More so, yeah, it'll be more so
- 38:45than been before. His relationship with.
- 38:50I think this draft is going to be very important for both he
- 38:52and Koici Doflumenza because we have some draft equity.
- 38:56We haven't had a ton of it in the last couple of years.
- 38:59So we have some holes to fill. So for Kevin O'Connell, yeah.
- 39:06And then this is if you look at if you look at his record, it's
- 39:09been, you know, double digit wins missed the playoffs, double
- 39:13digit wins missed the playoffs. And so for him, it starts
- 39:18quarterback position developing JJ McCarthy.
- 39:21But you got to have Plan B because we talked about earlier,
- 39:23he's played 10 out of 35 games. You can't just all of a sudden
- 39:26go into the season like you did this year and not have much in
- 39:31the way of a backup plan. That's the probably the first
- 39:34thing that they're going to correct or at least deal with.
- 39:36And then for him, for Kevin O'Connell, you know, keeping
- 39:41Brian Flores around is, is going to be huge.
- 39:43Brian Flores will probably end up in Pittsburgh if he's going
- 39:45to go somewhere. I, I, I love the guy.
- 39:49You hear players complain he's too this, he's too tough.
- 39:53It's like they're, they're just whining.
- 39:54I mean, I've been around him enough.
- 39:57He's, he is a very, very good dude.
- 40:01I mean, just, he's a, he's a, he's a good guy.
- 40:03Loves talking football. Talk football with anybody all
- 40:06day long. And he's just got to find
- 40:10himself a good offensive coordinator.
- 40:12And then and then away, away you go and he gets more.
- 40:15We had a top three defense. Now we, you know, we played some
- 40:18teams toward the end of the season.
- 40:20I think that helped. But you end up with the top
- 40:23three defense. And, you know, you look at that
- 40:26defensive roster and you're kind of like, you know, Andrew Van
- 40:30Ginkle, you know, it's, it's who do you?
- 40:34There are no huge names. We don't have any perennial Pro
- 40:37Bowl players on this defenses. His scheme is just so different.
- 40:41He's just so aggressive that a lot of you know, it's, it's a
- 40:45problem for teams, especially young quarterbacks to deal with
- 40:50all the things that he'll throw at you.
- 40:52So now the whole lawsuit with the league and, and all the off
- 40:56the field stuff, it's just, you know, it's just going to be a
- 40:59matter of 1 of it just takes 1 owner to step up and step on a
- 41:03line with the rest of that group and say, you know what, I'm
- 41:05going to take a chance on this guy.
- 41:07And, and here we go again. So but for Kevin O'Connell,
- 41:11getting Brian Flores back is going to be the biggest thing to
- 41:16getting him back to double digit wins and playoffs for the
- 41:20Vikings next year. Pete, we love you, man, and I
- 41:25want you to. I'll have Speedy reach out to
- 41:27you. We'll swap numbers.
- 41:29We'll talk and I'll send you some articles.
- 41:32You read some of them. You tell me what you think and
- 41:34what we'll text and we'll shoot the you know what?
- 41:38Yeah, absolutely, man. Absolutely, Pete.
- 41:40You're great man. Keep up the good work.
- 41:42We love you on the radio. And.
- 41:44We'll be talking very, very. Soon, keep moving up the charts.
- 41:47You know I want you. What I'm hoping is that someday
- 41:51I'm going to flip on the TV for some background noise and then
- 41:54there you'll be. Rick, Rick, Rick it.
- 41:56Will be on. I have, you know, sticker.
- 41:59On the bottom and I'll just turn it down like I do everybody else
- 42:02and just leave it up there. Come on, man.
- 42:04You can't turn this down. You can't turn me down.
- 42:07I am. I have one of the most unique,
- 42:09crazy voices you'll ever hear on radio, and I can do all of this.
- 42:14Pete has a quarter of how Pete has 1/4 with how much jet stalk
- 42:17it can handle a day. Give me that chicken Curry.
- 42:20I need a jet darling. I do have to give a shout out to
- 42:24Rick Spielman, who was with The Jets.
- 42:25He's helping out. Rick's is one of is one of the
- 42:28best dudes out there, man. He's good.
- 42:30He's very good at what he does. You know, Viking fans will be
- 42:33what about this? What about this?
- 42:34What it when you're GM, that's that's what it's it's all about
- 42:37the what abouts and what ifs and and second guessing.
- 42:40I mean, that's the that's the the pretend GM loves, loves the
- 42:43draft. But yeah, Rick's gonna Rick's
- 42:46out there helping out and I hope that I hope things can change.
- 42:51I hope you guys can get yeah interception next year.
- 42:54All right, thank you, Pete. We love you.
- 42:57I'll talk to you. I'll talk to you soon.
- 42:59Thank you. Thank you, Pete.
- 43:01Pete Persic, Ladies and gentlemen, we love him #1 as he
- 43:06puts up the number one, he's number one.
- 43:09We love him. Number one in my heart and #1
- 43:12hated Jet Fan. So there you go.
- 43:14Thank you, Pete. All right, we'll see you.
- 43:17I love him, absolutely great, one of the best personalities
- 43:22and I saw Jabba pop out. I think he just wanted to leave
- 43:25it up to us to get that interview out.
- 43:27We'll get Jabba back in because we have the speedy stat of the
- 43:32week. The.
- 43:34Speedy Well, you may run like me, but you hit like stat of the
- 43:40week. All right, so we've hinted at it
- 43:44a lot. It's a lot of stuff to do with
- 43:45this insane Caleb Williams throw that we've seen pretty much all
- 43:50all throughout the show. This is how rare it was for him
- 43:53to be able to pull this kind of thing off.
- 43:55So 26.5 yards behind the line of scrimmage he was.
- 44:00Which broke the previous record in the Next Gen.
- 44:02Stats era which is 2015. On of 22 yards behind the line
- 44:06of scrimmage done by Josh Allen. 51.2 air yards on that throw.
- 44:12And a 17.8% completion probability for Caleb Williams
- 44:17on that insane, just insane 4th down touchdown.
- 44:20That will be one of the best plays ever in a playoff loss
- 44:23unfortunately for the Bears sake.
- 44:25But look how far back he is. It's just miracle workers and
- 44:30just how insane it was is defined in those stats.
- 44:34No question. The one and only Caleb Williams
- 44:38did what he needed to do, and he was sensational.
- 44:40We love you, Kay. I mean, see, or whatever the
- 44:43hell you want to go and look at his strong.
- 44:44We'll look at his beauty. Look at this boom right there in
- 44:48the hands of Cole. Commit.
- 44:50Beautiful. Speaking of in the hands, the
- 44:53NFL Network reports that the Bills have fired the one and
- 44:57only head coach Sean McDermott after nine seasons in Buffalo.
- 45:00NFL insider Jonathan Jones reports that the Bills can't
- 45:04interview any coaches from remaining playoff teams until
- 45:08they get eliminated, but can schedule interviews with anybody
- 45:12else. Bills offensive coordinator Joe
- 45:14Brady could be likely a candidate to replace McDermott,
- 45:18but he also has an interview scheduled with the Ravens,
- 45:21Raiders and Cardinals as well. Mike McDaniel could also, yes,
- 45:26so, but he just signed, so I'm not going to say that I'm going
- 45:29to skip that. NFL Network reports that the
- 45:32Falcons have named Kevin Stefanski as their next head
- 45:37coach a week after naming Matt Ryan their president of football
- 45:43operations. The Miami Dolphins have named
- 45:47Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Haffley right am I right as
- 45:52their next head coach, Their 8th consecutive head coach with no
- 45:56previous head coaching experience.
- 45:59The Tennessee Titans have hired former Jets head coach Robber,
- 46:02AKA Sala Bambi as their next head coach less than two years
- 46:08after being fired by the New York Jets.
- 46:13Well, ladies and gentlemen, I am not surprised about Sean
- 46:16McDermott getting fired. I'm not I've, I've said this
- 46:21over and over and over again. Sean McDermott was really
- 46:26hanging on a thread. And after that loss against the
- 46:30Broncos and losing against a young quarterback in Bo Nicks
- 46:34after Lamar Jackson, Bo, you know, I'm sorry, I forgot the
- 46:40names. Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes
- 46:43and Joe Burrow is out of the playoffs.
- 46:46You would have thought that Josh Allen would have his easiest
- 46:48path to a Super Bowl and failed to do that.
- 46:51McDermott is a great defensive mind.
- 46:53There's no question they have one of the best pass rushes,
- 46:55pass rushes in the league. But failure to win and get this
- 46:59team into the Super Bowl with Josh Allen at the prime of his
- 47:03career is going to make that happen.
- 47:05As far as coaching candidates, you would think that Joe Brady
- 47:11would take this job if he's going to get offered this.
- 47:14Why would you want to go to the Raiders?
- 47:16Why would you want to go to the Cardinals, the Ravens?
- 47:18Interesting thought. I, I think the the better pick
- 47:21would be the Bills. You know, the quarterback, you
- 47:23know the offense. It would make a lot of sense for
- 47:25Joe Brady to stay there and take over this team and get his first
- 47:29head coaching job. I just don't know if I would go
- 47:31that route. Mike McCarthy is the guy that I
- 47:34would go with, with Josh Alley. If you want to get over the
- 47:37hump, you want to get to a Super Bowl, Mike McCarthy is the guy.
- 47:40I think that this team is lacking leadership and I think
- 47:44Mike McCarthy has the ability to give that leadership a chance.
- 47:48And, and the reason why I took out Mike McDaniel because he
- 47:50signed obviously with the Chargers as Tommy Poops gave us
- 47:54that announcement with the old NIF so and the Atlanta Falcons
- 47:59signing Stefanski, wonderful, wonderful signing.
- 48:02The question is, can he develop a quarterback in Michael
- 48:05Pennings when he comes back? He's had a problem doing that
- 48:07over there with the Browns. The guy is 1 coach of the year
- 48:11back-to-back time. Well, not back-to-back but
- 48:12within I think 2:00 in the amount of four years he has been
- 48:16one of the elite coaches in the NFL.
- 48:19Very surprised the Browns fired him, but taking the Atlanta
- 48:23Falcons job, he's got a lot of weapons over there.
- 48:25If they bring Kyle Pitts back, London, I obviously Bijon
- 48:30Robertson, they have weapons off on offensive line that play very
- 48:33well. A good young defense now with a
- 48:35great secondary. I think he's stacked.
- 48:37I think he has ability to automatically win that division
- 48:39this year. He's much better than Raheem
- 48:42Morris. There's no question that he is.
- 48:45Raheem Morris will never get a coaching job again in the NFL.
- 48:48No offense, Raheem, you know, obviously a Long Island guy, you
- 48:51know, played for Hofstra. Not a guy that I would hire as a
- 48:54coach ever again. Miami hiring this guy, Jeff
- 48:57Hasley, don't know much about him.
- 49:00What I do know is he comes from the Packers organization.
- 49:02He is the defensive coordinator. I don't know if this is slam
- 49:06dunk. I don't know if this is a double
- 49:09or a single or a triple. Might be a strike out.
- 49:12I don't know. But the Dolphins have been known
- 49:14to make those mistakes. And why would you fire Mike
- 49:18McDaniel to bring in another rookie coach when you had a
- 49:20winning coach over there in Miami who is a game changing
- 49:24type of coach? So it makes no sense.
- 49:25And now, ladies and gentlemen, I saved the best for last because
- 49:30there is no way in hell an organization would go this route
- 49:36and bring Bambi Sala in after the debacle he left over there
- 49:40in New York. Hard Knocks, all the mistakes
- 49:43that he made, all gas, no break, and all this other garbage that
- 49:46he had. And I have a story coming up and
- 49:48going up on the Worldwide Sports Radio Network.
- 49:50I'm telling you, it's a must read.
- 49:52It will be up tomorrow. It's funny.
- 49:54It's definitely a draw and you fans will love it.
- 49:57This guy is an absolute joke. I feel bad for Cam Ward.
- 50:01I feel bad for him that he has to take on this idiot of a head
- 50:05coach. This guy has been gone.
- 50:07He took over as a defensive coordinator over there with San
- 50:09Francisco. He was over there filling in as
- 50:11an offensive coach with the Packers last year.
- 50:14How did that help? I mean, and then he goes over to
- 50:16San Francisco, had a good year and then goes into a playoff run
- 50:20where he lose and gets his not his his butt blocked right off
- 50:24or knocked off by 41 to 6 against a team in Seattle that
- 50:29just completely pulverized him as a defensive coordinator.
- 50:32And then you sign him. Then you give him a five year
- 50:34deal to have the run of your organization.
- 50:36This makes no sense. You bring it.
- 50:38You have a young quarterback that needs to learn how to be
- 50:40developed. Robert Sala has not made the
- 50:42right choices. And go ask Michael Floor how.
- 50:44Well, why do you think they gave him five years and then keep it
- 50:47shorter? I'll tell you why, Cam for five
- 50:50years, you're going to see if Cam Ward is worth that fifth
- 50:53year option. And if if Robert Sala fails to
- 50:57get this kid that extra contract, Karen Ward will be
- 51:00gone with Robert Sala. He is signing his ass over there
- 51:03with Cam. That's what he did and he took,
- 51:06he took on a big responsibility. He had his quarterback.
- 51:09He had his quarterback of choice.
- 51:11And Zach Wilson, how long did that last before he was screwing
- 51:14somebody else's mom or somebody else's mother's girlfriend?
- 51:17I, I don't know. I, I and Robertson had no
- 51:20control. He's telling people private
- 51:22information that was going on after games to broadcasters here
- 51:25in New York. This, this is a guy that doesn't
- 51:28know how to keep a secret. He was the one that a lot of
- 51:29people were believed was squealing to the press on what
- 51:32was going on in the locker room. When it was going on with him
- 51:35and Garrett Wilson in Aaron Rodgers, who do you think was
- 51:38opening his mouth and giving all the feedback?
- 51:40It was Robert Solid. And now you have Cam Ward, who I
- 51:43I've come to respect. I think the kid is a tremendous
- 51:46amount of talent. He's going to fail because this
- 51:48guy doesn't know how to pick the right offensive coordinator.
- 51:50Go ask Mike Lafleur. He's doing wonders over there
- 51:53working with, you know, Shawn McVeigh.
- 51:55Isn't he pretty successful over there as what is offensive
- 51:59coordinator? Pretty damn good.
- 52:00Pretty much a puppet. Yeah, but still pretty damn
- 52:02good. It doesn't matter if he's a
- 52:04puppet. He's definitely not Robert
- 52:05Soller. Kate Bambis fucking puppet.
- 52:07Yeah, I mean, seriously, this is pathetic.
- 52:10Absolutely pathetic. The Titans made a big mistake.
- 52:12Out of all the guys you can interview all the guys.
- 52:15John Harbaugh was interested in this job and you're going to
- 52:18hire Robert Sala after John Horrible decided to take the
- 52:21Giants job? What a joke.
- 52:23Reach out to Sean McDermott, Mike McCarthy.
- 52:25Any one of those guys would have been better.
- 52:28Brian Flores would have been better than this idiot.
- 52:30I mean, a Jackass who can't do anything right.
- 52:34He is an absolute joke. And he made everybody here in
- 52:38New York think that this guy was getting picked on when the guy
- 52:40was an absolute idiot. He didn't know how to run an
- 52:43organization. He didn't know how to control
- 52:45personalities in a locker room. And he definitely does not know
- 52:49how to coach a whole football team.
- 52:51What an absolute joke. An offseason of absolute
- 52:55shattering moves for the Tennessee Titans.
- 52:58With all the draft stack they have and all the money they
- 53:00have, they could shove it up their ass because Roberts all is
- 53:02going to screw this one up. Yeah, I was mentioning at the
- 53:04beginning when we were talking about Black Monday and these
- 53:06coaching trends, we've seen a lot of these teams with younger
- 53:09quarterbacks or teams that have longer playoff drafts with
- 53:12younger rosters go after these veteran coaches for a sense of
- 53:15stability. I mentioned the Broncos is the
- 53:16perfect example. Well that was Sean Payton.
- 53:18Sean Payton it seemed like forever, especially after they
- 53:21tried to get Russell Wilson and that failed.
- 53:23The Broncos after Peyton Manning retired were good roster that
- 53:26didn't have a quarterback for a while.
- 53:28Then Russell Wilson actually has a decent year with Sean Payton.
- 53:30But again they the situation with him wanting to get benched
- 53:33and not all that stuff with the whole buyout of this contract
- 53:36and they bring in Bonex and they make the playoffs 2 years in a
- 53:38row. Now they're in an AFC
- 53:39championship game. I see the Chargers with Jim
- 53:41Harbaugh going after, they're replacing Brandon Staley.
- 53:43Justin Herbert's a young quarterback.
- 53:45Now all of a sudden they're 2 years a row in the playoffs.
- 53:48This is the opposite direction that the Titans should be going
- 53:50in. I'm not saying never hire a
- 53:52defensive coach. I'm, I know Fish was saying that
- 53:54in the past like you should stay away from defensive coaches, but
- 53:57I, I don't, I don't really have that kind of angle.
- 53:59Brian Flores is a much better pick for a culture stabilizer.
- 54:02If you want a flashy offensive, there's enough flashy young
- 54:06offensive guys out there, go go get a Kubiak.
- 54:08Even the Kubiak on the 49ers, the clay, go get him.
- 54:11If you want a young quarterback developer, maybe the Titans
- 54:13didn't wanted that because of Brian Callahan's failures.
- 54:16But then go get a veteran guy. Go get Mike McCarthy like.
- 54:19He's a quarterback developer. This was.
- 54:21Awful on so many levels. I don't.
- 54:22I can't imagine. This how did he sell him himself
- 54:26He's. Just that good of an
- 54:26interviewer, apparently. Obviously is Mike McCarthy is a
- 54:29terrible interviewer because he hasn't gotten a job in two
- 54:32years. And this idiot who you can't
- 54:34even understand, you can't even understand how he speaks.
- 54:37He's taking receipts and he's going to be taking receipts over
- 54:40there because there's a lot of receipts that are not going to
- 54:43be able to be cashed over there after he fails.
- 54:46And you would think it's. AGM that comes from the Chiefs
- 54:48organization too. You would.
- 54:49Think Jabba, you're muted. You will be able to learn.
- 54:51From that kind of thing too. But do you think too some of
- 54:56these moves they they get guys based on what they have on the
- 55:00field, like you talk about, you know, bringing guys in
- 55:04established or whatever. Do you do you think when they
- 55:06make these decisions, they look at what they have to bring like
- 55:11an old head in that's been in the game or like get another
- 55:15like younger energy guy that they have but.
- 55:17Who is that for Robert Sala? Robert Sala is neither of those
- 55:20things. Well, yeah.
- 55:21And, and but that's where do, where do they look at that when
- 55:24they bring somebody in like as we touched on with Harbaugh and,
- 55:28and what people think is going to happen, do they look at is
- 55:32can he control a clubhouse? Can he control a locker room,
- 55:35whatever you want to call it? Can he manage his coordinators?
- 55:38He's a puppet which. We haven't seen what and is, is
- 55:42that what they do as well? Do they look at it from top to
- 55:46bottom? And it's like, you know what, we
- 55:48can control him and kind of what we want to do and just, and, and
- 55:51he's just a piece in the puzzle where he he's not the queen that
- 55:55can do everything or the king that is the end of all.
- 55:58You said it, you, you right there Choppa, you, you gave it,
- 56:01you hit the nail on the coffin and it's a coffin and it's going
- 56:06to be 6 feet under by the time Robert Sala touches it.
- 56:09I, I mean, this guy is an absolute joke.
- 56:13And if you're a Titan fan, I feel bad for you guys because
- 56:17I've seen enough of Robert Sala to make you want to barf.
- 56:20And this guy does not does not know how to speak to the press.
- 56:23He doesn't how he he beats around the Bush.
- 56:26He doesn't know how to protect players.
- 56:27He throws players under the bus offset of talking to people to
- 56:32the media when he shouldn't be speaking to the media.
- 56:35When the team tells him to stay away from the media, he goes out
- 56:39there and and reports things to me.
- 56:41The guy's an idiot. He's not he's not a fit.
- 56:43I'm telling you he's not a fit. It's going to be a a big smack
- 56:46in the face. And unfortunately, the Titans
- 56:48are going to regret it. Cam Ward's going to regret.
- 56:50I feel bad for the kid. Yeah, shifting of the other
- 56:53three moves though happily with the Dolphins was interesting
- 56:56because he was one of the higher touted defensive guys at the
- 56:59beginning of the coaching process along with Jesse Minter.
- 57:02But once all these other coaches, Harbaugh and Tomlin
- 57:05took leave from their teams. Now obviously McDermott, he
- 57:07wasn't even thought of as much of the candidate.
- 57:09But Green Bay going over there, I guess Miami wanted, they think
- 57:12because maybe 2 was going to be gone, they're going to have to
- 57:14be more of a defensive team next year.
- 57:16We'll see if they can get the best of the talent because the
- 57:18talent has been very injury prone over there in Miami.
- 57:20But I guess I guess that's what they're thinking.
- 57:21They believe A Chan and Waddle will be the future on offense
- 57:24but not Tyree killer. Not to us.
- 57:25So maybe that's the direction they want to go in.
- 57:27I agree with Stefanski. I love it for the Falcons.
- 57:29This is a 2 tight end type offense that he had with the
- 57:32Browns for a while. You get pits and a good rotation
- 57:34of second guys for a while. If they reside pits.
- 57:37Which it seems like that is the case because they're bringing in
- 57:40a guy that's a tight end centric offense guy.
- 57:41And obviously he's going to cost more than probably would have
- 57:44thought because he's had a great, he had a great year this
- 57:46year. So he's going to probably get
- 57:48maybe 15,000,000 a year or something like that.
- 57:50But maybe, but pay up. You have to make it work in that
- 57:54offense. Bijan, again, Nick Schaub worked
- 57:56in that offense. Look at all the random running
- 57:58backs to work in that offense. Even Algier in that offense with
- 58:00Atlanta too. I I think that's going to be a
- 58:02really good move. He's every three years coach of
- 58:04the year. Don't be surprised.
- 58:05He makes an incident impact on the Atlanta Falcons.
- 58:07I love this move. And then McDermott, we'll see.
- 58:10I don't think I agree. I don't think he gets another
- 58:11head coaching job this year. But I think it was time because
- 58:14the Bills defense, like I mentioned before, historically
- 58:16bad. I think he just got stale and
- 58:18predictable after a while. I mentioned when Bursic was on.
- 58:21I will say this, if I were The Jets, I would reach out to Sean
- 58:26McDermott and bring him in as my defensive coin.
- 58:28Sure, I would do that. You bring in a guy, you have a
- 58:32young coach there. Sean McDermott is one of the
- 58:35best defensive minds in the NFL right now.
- 58:37Even if it's a year as Sean, if he'd come in, help Aaron Glenn
- 58:41out, help him get, help him in the draft, help this, help Moji.
- 58:46This is a great opportunity with this draft class with the talent
- 58:49of draft stock when it comes to defensive lineman.
- 58:51This is the draft I bring. I, I they're, they're talking a
- 58:55week. Martindale I would reach out to
- 58:57Sean McDermott. Absolutely reach out to Sean
- 59:00McDermott and see if he would be interested in coming for a year
- 59:03or two. I think that makes sense too,
- 59:04because he's more of a four, three and.
- 59:06He's an AFC guy. Zone type of defense, and not
- 59:09that he's as much zone as he used to be when he first started
- 59:11with the Bills, but he's more of closer to what their personnel
- 59:14type is than what the Wink Martindale.
- 59:17Plus, he has coaching. Experience do you think too like
- 59:20him staying in the AFC and being in?
- 59:23His division. He wants to be a head coach
- 59:26again, obviously, yes, But staying in the division and
- 59:30seeing what he can do from the other side of the fence, yes,
- 59:33because he's been a defensive guy.
- 59:34But you don't want to take a year off, right?
- 59:37I, I, I think, I think the best thing for him to do is to prove
- 59:40his worth. You go over there with Aaron
- 59:42Glenn, who's a, a young coach who has no experience at that
- 59:47position. And you, you go over there as
- 59:49the defensive coordinator to a team that you know very, very
- 59:52well and a division that you know as good as anybody does to
- 59:56beat those quarterbacks and beat those teams.
- 59:58I'm absolutely, if I'm the judge, reaching out to Sean
- 1:00:02McDermott and trying to pitch him because guess what, if Aaron
- 1:00:05Glenn gets fired next year. Yes, Who goes right in there as
- 1:00:09the next head coach? Sean McDermott.
- 1:00:11Yeah, I'm just going to bet you that that's worst case scenario.
- 1:00:13And then best case scenario, you have a good mentor for somebody
- 1:00:16like Aaron. Glenn 100%.
- 1:00:17I think it makes a lot of sense. For a guy that was in a similar
- 1:00:21circumstance, Aaron Glenn, obviously coming from the the
- 1:00:24Saints organization that inherited a similar type of
- 1:00:26defense of what The Jets had or at least had before their trades
- 1:00:29obviously. But again, still have to an
- 1:00:31extent with the talent that they have.
- 1:00:32You get a a coach that has a good calming presence, but a
- 1:00:35good relationship with his players like Aaron Glenn with
- 1:00:38McDermott. I think it's a really good fit.
- 1:00:40Shifting back to the Bills, though, you mentioned they have
- 1:00:41to hire a veteran coach. I don't think they have to
- 1:00:43necessarily do an offensive guy. But yeah, they do need somebody
- 1:00:45with experience. McCarthy I do like.
- 1:00:48I also like the idea potentially because I think they do need a
- 1:00:51good game planning defense as well.
- 1:00:54Brian Flores I think could be a good fit over there too because
- 1:00:56he's going to want to stick it to the AFC East because the
- 1:00:58Dolphins, the Patriots and I think they need a game planning
- 1:01:01defense. This is a talented defense.
- 1:01:03My Miami had an awful defense like Pete was mentioning.
- 1:01:05The Vikings don't really have these household names on
- 1:01:07defense. Buffalo with the talent that
- 1:01:09they have from the top end guy, they need a good, good game
- 1:01:12planner like Flores. I think that could actually be a
- 1:01:14good. Fit there's a lot of questions
- 1:01:16and and again with these coaches and I, we can go back and forth
- 1:01:20because we have a long show left.
- 1:01:21We got a lot of baseball to get into and I don't want to be
- 1:01:24holding on this, but I will say this, if I am The Jets
- 1:01:28organization right now, I'm reaching out to Sean McDermott
- 1:01:31right now. You haven't hired A defensive
- 1:01:33coordinator yet. Sit down, have a conversation
- 1:01:35with him. And if you think that this kid
- 1:01:38is your offensive coordinator, I'd still reach out my Mike
- 1:01:42McCarthy. I'd bring in veteran guys to
- 1:01:44help Aaron Glenn out this year. Help him out, help him develop
- 1:01:48his personality, what he is as a head coach.
- 1:01:51And then if these guys decide to part ways with The Jets in the
- 1:01:55offseason, so be it. If not, you give him one.
- 1:01:58You give one of these guys the job.
- 1:01:59If if Aaron Glenn is a failure or he just doesn't know how to
- 1:02:03get to these players. That's just my opinion.
- 1:02:05All right? Save your tears, Mom.
- 1:02:07What's one thing that you can't talk to me about?
- 1:02:11My sexual fantasies. Say your sorry this.
- 1:02:16Is not ideal, but if it's what means it is not ideal.
- 1:02:18But if it's just not ideal. But if it is, what means you
- 1:02:22can't dribble stamp a double stamp, you can't dribble stamp a
- 1:02:24double stamp Lord. You can't dribble stamp a double
- 1:02:25stamp. Lord you guys.
- 1:02:30Now it's time for save your tears, because they don't.
- 1:02:34Have tongues. Who's chopping off tongues
- 1:02:38nowadays, you guys? Know.
- 1:02:41What that is on the phone, so we're not going to bring him in.
- 1:02:43Right. Where was where was the Savior
- 1:02:44tongues? From savior tongues?
- 1:02:46Who knows? Because they don't have tongues.
- 1:02:50Yeah, playing around with the soundboard.
- 1:02:54Fucking daily lives. Yes, there's a lot of daily
- 1:02:58lives in a lot of these football players.
- 1:03:01This was this was the board from last week.
- 1:03:03The gross sexual action of cream on.
- 1:03:05Daily lives that work out for some and not work out for
- 1:03:08others. But you guys, we have a long
- 1:03:10show ahead. You guys just quick because
- 1:03:12naturally beneficial. I did win with my advantage
- 1:03:15again. Java, you were second.
- 1:03:17Good valiant effort. Christian McCaffrey letting it
- 1:03:20down a little bit. Don't worry, you still finish
- 1:03:22ahead of Fish and Tommy. You got the bronze this week.
- 1:03:27I guess we'll have to wait for Nathan's compliments for him to
- 1:03:30get off the phone. It can wait.
- 1:03:33I don't know if Nathan is ready for this yet.
- 1:03:35Nathan, you could. I don't care.
- 1:03:36Signal in the private chat whenever you're ready.
- 1:03:37I guess. Errol, you could go first for
- 1:03:38the time being and then we'll go back.
- 1:03:40Oh, how wonderful. Well, speedy, with these extra
- 1:03:44points, it only bears, only bulge.
- 1:03:47Well, for you, any edge that you have only gives you more edge
- 1:03:51because you study this stuff. I don't care.
- 1:03:53I sit here and I just pick whatever I pick, win or lose, it
- 1:03:56won't matter to me. I don't care who wins but you.
- 1:03:59If you win, lose, draw, kiss somebody'd ass, That would be
- 1:04:04fine with me. I love you man.
- 1:04:08Can keep up the good work. Don't play with yourself.
- 1:04:10All right, nothing. I don't think it's ready yet.
- 1:04:12So I guess Tommy, you're next. All right.
- 1:04:14And Speedy like you were saying, I mean it's it's tiring not for
- 1:04:18you of. Course, how does anyone?
- 1:04:20It's not tiring for you to be at the top of the hill, but it's
- 1:04:22tiring for us, of course, to keep on giving you this
- 1:04:25compliments. But no, it's not tiring at all,
- 1:04:26of course. But dude, you of course did it.
- 1:04:29You are the divisional week champion.
- 1:04:31And you know, I know, of course we're going to have something
- 1:04:33next week. For.
- 1:04:35Conference championship. But man, you keep doing
- 1:04:37everything you do every week in, week out, especially on the show
- 1:04:40and especially within the Savior tears.
- 1:04:42You really honestly do everything correct the right
- 1:04:45way. And like Errol said, these
- 1:04:48points are giving you an advantage that you're obviously
- 1:04:50kicking all of our asses in. So Congrats again, Speedy.
- 1:04:54All right, Thank you so much. And I think I guess Nathan all
- 1:04:57have to give it to me in the comments of the private chat
- 1:04:59because he's on the phone right now.
- 1:05:00So Jabba, you rounded. Out.
- 1:05:02I don't drink a lot of milk. No, I don't.
- 1:05:04Yeah, no, I don't drink a lot of milk either.
- 1:05:08I want to go after you just because it always makes sense.
- 1:05:11And now that you get extra points, I'm like toilet paper
- 1:05:14bringing up the rear and it it, it, it just doesn't end.
- 1:05:20And you're always going to be at the top of that mountain.
- 1:05:23And we rely on you for a lot of stuff.
- 1:05:26And we know why you're the best, because you stand on that
- 1:05:30mountain everywhere. Paper bringing up the rear.
- 1:05:35That'll be your most huge drop off for the month of February.
- 1:05:37Java, the dude wipes will take his back seat to that now.
- 1:05:43No, I would rush him to the hospital.
- 1:05:46I mean, they coincide with each other a little bit.
- 1:05:48They do. I don't care, let's not.
- 1:05:55I love the personalities that we bring on the show.
- 1:05:59I just love how the flow of the show has been working and it's
- 1:06:02been great. It's been such a success for all
- 1:06:06the transitions and and all the different stories that we get
- 1:06:09into. So and we give the best takes.
- 1:06:11I don't care what anybody says. Our takes are as good as
- 1:06:14anybody's and we go outside of the box.
- 1:06:16I'm sure nobody says the things. I mean, did anybody say, did
- 1:06:20anybody bring up McDermott going to The Jets?
- 1:06:23Did anybody even think to do that?
- 1:06:25I mean, Jets, The Jets haven't even thought to do that because
- 1:06:28they're dumb organization. So I, I just think our takes are
- 1:06:32fresh, new and interesting. And I think people that haven't
- 1:06:36listened to the show or has heard of the show should be
- 1:06:39listening to it. Understand that we are the best.
- 1:06:42And I will put this show against anybody and I'll, I'll, I'll
- 1:06:45take that to the grave. And when it when it goes, when
- 1:06:48it comes to and when it goes to an opportunity and comes to an
- 1:06:51opportunity in the future, you guys are going to see why I say
- 1:06:54this and why I believe we are the best.
- 1:06:57Anyways, thank you to all the Spotify and Apple fans on video
- 1:07:01and audio for downloading us. Thank you to all the TikTok

- 1:07:30birthday to fish. Happy 40th to fish.
- 1:07:32And we got two guys with the age of 40.
- 1:07:35You know, the babies are speedy actually, Tommy's the old
- 1:07:40youngest guy on the show. Nathan's right there with
- 1:07:43speedy. And then we have the old
- 1:07:45goodster, the old goodster. It was going to be 35 this year,
- 1:07:50I think so, yeah. I didn't realize Goody was that
- 1:07:54young, I thought he was actually a little closer to Javas age and
- 1:07:56he used to mind. No, he's closer to your age.
- 1:07:59Yeah, but the old good stir is getting up there in age too.
- 1:08:02So we love you too, man. Anyways, that's it for a show.
- 1:08:05Who do we have on through? All right, one of our favorite
- 1:08:07baseball guests and Java, he's never been on with you, but I
- 1:08:10know, I know, I know you 2 have a good connection with each
- 1:08:13other. It's actually interesting.
- 1:08:14When we first had you join for the Yankees post game years ago,
- 1:08:17I saw you interacting with this guy on Twitter at 9:30.
- 1:08:20Returning to the show is our friend, Mr. Ryan Spader, MLB
- 1:08:23Analyst and the founder of The Ace of spader.com.
- 1:08:26Oh, Ryan Spader, the Spadester. Oh my God.
- 1:08:31Oh, we're getting that Jackass on.
- 1:08:33Oh, there we go. Yeah.
- 1:08:37I'm texting right now. The old Ryanster.
- 1:08:41Neutral on a Bush. I don't want to think.
- 1:08:44About it. All right, there we go.
- 1:08:45Ladies and gentlemen, Ryan Spader will be on Thursday.
- 1:08:48All right, It is 11:30 and it's time to go.
- 1:08:50I'm hungry. I want to say goodbye.
- 1:08:53Goodbye to you and farewell. And we will talk to you on
- 1:08:57Thursday. Good night.
- 1:08:58Farewell. It is the worldwide sports radio
- 1:09:01network.
