- 0:02Speaker 2: You are an independent, twenty eight year old woman in
- 0:05Speaker 2: New York, buy yourself on a solo travel you can
- 0:08Speaker 2: do this. It's like get you a sit together, like
- 0:11Speaker 2: literally and figure yourself up.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Girl.
- 0:15Speaker 2: You literally have to give myself a talk.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Relatable re late. It was podcast.
- 0:30Speaker 3: It's hosted by myself, Jake Craig aka Duddy, and my
- 0:34Speaker 3: podcasts are in contention, crime whatever, Oddie aka Mummy Clark, contention.
- 0:40Speaker 1: I don't know contention. I feel like contentions like we're
- 0:42Speaker 1: against each other. I feel like we're competing. Nah. I
- 0:45Speaker 1: was trying to think of another word for co oh.
- 0:46Speaker 1: I was keen to compete. Okay, now we could be
- 0:49Speaker 1: a team. We're a team player, guys. We just had
- 0:52Speaker 1: a confession. We had a great confession.
- 0:54Speaker 3: So yeah, we just thought we'd come in here, intro
- 0:57Speaker 3: it and tell you to if you're in your car,
- 0:59Speaker 3: make you sleep up tighter.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Yeah you might crash, all right. This is juice. This
- 1:06Speaker 1: is a contender for number one. When you've got to go,
- 1:10Speaker 1: you gotta go. This is a contender for number one.
- 1:14Speaker 1: You'll hear the verdict at the end. Yeah and where.
- 1:17Speaker 3: And you know what We're basing this off of the
- 1:20Speaker 3: confession we had two weeks ago.
- 1:21Speaker 1: I didn't think it could get better neither.
- 1:23Speaker 3: No the Balley Belly yourself like seven times, I didn't
- 1:26Speaker 3: think it could get worse, And this one is giving
- 1:29Speaker 3: it a very solid run for its money.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Yeah, but also it earned money. Might I let us
- 1:33Speaker 1: know if this is the top dog. Yeah, we want comments.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Let us know we've got a verdict at the end.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Comment what you think? Yeah, let us know if we
- 1:42Speaker 1: got it right. Hi, Hello, welcome to Confession Sessions. How
- 1:47Speaker 1: are you going?
- 1:49Speaker 2: I'm shaking, I'm nervous, but we're okay. We're okay. How
- 1:52Speaker 2: are you guys?
- 1:52Speaker 1: There's not going to be nervous about Hey where I'm good.
- 1:55Speaker 1: I'm the opposite of nerves. First things first is would
- 1:59Speaker 1: you like to be anonymous?
- 2:02Speaker 2: Yeah? I would? Yeah, I want to be anonymous? Okay,
- 2:07Speaker 2: facing job, so like I need.
- 2:09Speaker 1: To protect yourself? Makes sense? Do you want me and
- 2:13Speaker 1: Jake to pick you a name or is there something
- 2:15Speaker 1: you've always wanted to be called? Call me?
- 2:25Speaker 2: Remember Banita, my friends will know exactly who that is.
- 2:31Speaker 1: That's okay, okay, Banita, and I like how this story
- 2:37Speaker 1: came into fruition. You obviously listened to the last when
- 2:41Speaker 1: you gotta go, you gotta go, and you felt the
- 2:44Speaker 1: urge to DM must and be like I got it better.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I'm I got I don't believe it, don't believe last
- 2:51Speaker 1: time was crazy. So what happened was what's the name?
- 2:55Speaker 1: Last week was no, no, no, no, Banita, Banita, Banita. Yeah,
- 2:59Speaker 1: I'm not going to remember that messaged me and then
- 3:01Speaker 1: I said, yeah, give me the details, and she sent
- 3:03Speaker 1: me like I don't know, eight voice messages and where
- 3:06Speaker 1: I was editing, I was just listening to it and
- 3:08Speaker 1: I was in it. Oh, I don't want to give
- 3:12Speaker 1: anything away, but you've got a story. When you've got
- 3:15Speaker 1: to go, you gotta go. Don't leave out any detail,
- 3:18Speaker 1: and we'll see if it beats last week. Yeah, okay,
- 3:21Speaker 1: now big boots to fill.
- 3:25Speaker 2: To feel Look, I'm pretty confident with this one though,
- 3:27Speaker 2: to be ok okay. So last year I went on
- 3:34Speaker 2: a solo trip, my first ever solo trip overseas, and
- 3:37Speaker 2: I went to New York and I was staying at
- 3:41Speaker 2: a friend's house where they came to Australia and I
- 3:44Speaker 2: was house sitting for them and looking after their dog. Anyway,
- 3:49Speaker 2: get on the twenty four hour plane journey there. There's
- 3:51Speaker 2: lots of plain food happening, the sleeping pills, couple, like
- 3:54Speaker 2: playing Gin and Tonics, you know whatever, get their land,
- 3:57Speaker 2: get through customs, get to the place, unpack a little bit.
- 4:00Speaker 2: It's like, Oh, take the dog for a walk. It's
- 4:01Speaker 2: like a like a water quality type of dog, so
- 4:04Speaker 2: not really small, but like strong enough to pull.
- 4:06Speaker 1: In New York. Okay, how old are you?
- 4:09Speaker 2: Yeah, old enough to know about I was twenty eight.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Okay, okay, okay, yeah.
- 4:18Speaker 2: So it was I'm definitely an adult by this point.
- 4:22Speaker 2: And so I get to the place and I'm like, oh,
- 4:24Speaker 2: take the dog for a walk, and you know, just
- 4:26Speaker 2: like get to know the area a little bit. Did that,
- 4:28Speaker 2: went back home and I was like, you know what,
- 4:31Speaker 2: I'm a fucking New York City, Like, I'm going to
- 4:33Speaker 2: go out. It's my first time here. I'm pretty jet
- 4:35Speaker 2: lags on my fuck it whatever, it's fine. So I
- 4:38Speaker 2: go to this bar and then I go to another
- 4:41Speaker 2: bar and another bar. I meet this girl and then
- 4:43Speaker 2: she takes me to a few other bars. It's probably
- 4:45Speaker 2: like one am by this point. Then we walk outside.
- 4:48Speaker 1: How many fucking bars? How drunk did you get to it?
- 4:52Speaker 2: It's New York. It's pretty drunk, like I was.
- 4:56Speaker 1: It is the city that never sleeps, they.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Say, exactly, so you really have to like send it,
- 5:01Speaker 2: especially your first night there. And then yeah, we're like
- 5:05Speaker 2: walking and we're going to go to this karaoke bar
- 5:07Speaker 2: and then we run into this like massive Latino street party.
- 5:11Speaker 2: I'm talking like instruments everywhere, people playing like soccer in
- 5:15Speaker 2: the streets, like just a massive street party. So we
- 5:17Speaker 2: stay there till like three am, yeah, and still drinking.
- 5:22Speaker 2: And then I get home and I go to sleep,
- 5:23Speaker 2: so it's pretty normal at this point. I wake up
- 5:26Speaker 2: and it's like the jet lag is pretty severe. So
- 5:29Speaker 2: I'm up at like seven am, but I'm feeling good.
- 5:32Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, I don't feel that hungover, Like I
- 5:34Speaker 2: can see the day must be the jet light. So
- 5:37Speaker 2: it's down a quick hydro light and I was like, hmm,
- 5:40Speaker 2: I'm going to take the dog for a walk, and
- 5:42Speaker 2: the yeah, probably yeah.
- 5:45Speaker 1: The fack, this is.
- 5:46Speaker 2: When I should have stopped there. I've already peaked. I
- 5:49Speaker 2: could have recognized.
- 5:50Speaker 1: That what is the difference between New York and are
- 5:55Speaker 1: you from Sydney Australia.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Yeah, Sydney. Yeah, I think it's like a day ahead
- 6:01Speaker 2: or a day behind.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Yeah, it'd be it'd be like fourteen hours behind or something.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay, yeah pretty much. Yeah, exactly opposite, which is terrible.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Yeah. Like my timing in my head was like all
- 6:13Speaker 2: fucked up, like I didn't know what way was up.
- 6:17Speaker 2: But anyway, so I get outside with this dog and
- 6:19Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, let's walk across like one of the
- 6:21Speaker 2: iconic bridges, and I'm not. I'm probably like four or
- 6:24Speaker 2: five plates on the Manhattan Bridge. So I'm like, let's go.
- 6:27Speaker 2: We're doing it. We're following the signs. We've got Piogle
- 6:29Speaker 2: Matt subets like half working, half not working. Then we
- 6:34Speaker 2: get to the bridge and I didn't notice I had
- 6:37Speaker 2: been in New York for like less than fourteen hours.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Apparently there's two sides to the Manhattan Bridge. So one
- 6:43Speaker 2: side is like a walking side and they have a
- 6:46Speaker 2: four lane highway, and then on the other side it's
- 6:48Speaker 2: like a riding bicycle's only side.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I didn't like.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Hind side's a beautiful thing. Yeah, I didn't know this.
- 6:55Speaker 2: I go up to the bicycle lane with is dog
- 6:58Speaker 2: just trotting along, having a good time, taking in the slide,
- 7:01Speaker 2: feeling good. And then there's a couple of bike riders
- 7:04Speaker 2: like past me and they're like they're on the wrong side,
- 7:07Speaker 2: like full like me, or because they're not friendly, like
- 7:09Speaker 2: they're calling me out.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Obviously from there, I don't know.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Maybe it looks like a local because I had a job,
- 7:19Speaker 2: but like I had no idea where I was. I
- 7:21Speaker 2: was like still half wrong, but.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Like, don't even stress. I reckon bike riders all over
- 7:25Speaker 1: the world, and the most pretentious people like they'll ride
- 7:27Speaker 1: on a road to close they get upset, so.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Whatever, Yeah, they literally are anyway. So like three five
- 7:36Speaker 2: riders go past. They're all yelling at me that I'm
- 7:39Speaker 2: on the wrong side, but I can't. Well black, I
- 7:41Speaker 2: can either go back, which is like too far from me,
- 7:44Speaker 2: and I'm like, now, fuck that, We're just going to
- 7:46Speaker 2: keep going. We've committed. Now where We're just going to
- 7:48Speaker 2: keep going.
- 7:49Speaker 1: That long is the Manhattan Bridge?
- 7:52Speaker 2: I think like one and a half take. I'm not
- 7:56Speaker 2: called the distance. Yeah, way longer than a half a bridge.
- 7:59Speaker 2: I'm not good with my I'm not good at many things.
- 8:01Speaker 2: You'll get to notice. And then one lady fool like stop,
- 8:09Speaker 2: gets off her bike and like has a go at
- 8:11Speaker 2: me for being on the wrong side of the bridge,
- 8:13Speaker 2: and at this point I'm like, you know what, I've
- 8:15Speaker 2: fucking had enough, and I just snapped back at her
- 8:17Speaker 2: and I was like, I know, I'm on the wrong
- 8:19Speaker 2: side of the bridge. I can't go back, it's too far.
- 8:22Speaker 2: I'm already halfway through. Like what do you want me
- 8:24Speaker 2: to do? I can't just jump on the fucking six
- 8:26Speaker 2: plane highway bridge and get run over. And then feels
- 8:29Speaker 2: like oh okay, like the full Aussie Bogan like came
- 8:32Speaker 2: out in me.
- 8:33Speaker 1: We love that.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I think she respected me after it.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Honestly, I think that's how you get in New Yorker.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Yeah, fully so with confidence. But yeah, so then probably
- 8:47Speaker 2: like ten to fifteen meters after this lady gets off
- 8:51Speaker 2: of the bike and I abuse her back. My belly
- 8:53Speaker 2: starts like grumbling, and I'm like, oh, like that's not
- 8:57Speaker 2: a great feeling, like not too concerning. But I'm like,
- 9:00Speaker 2: I know that my aeroplane food, alcohol, hydrolyte, sleeping tablets
- 9:07Speaker 2: like pre like post travel ship is coming, and I'm
- 9:12Speaker 2: like it's not desperate at this point, but it's like, oh,
- 9:15Speaker 2: I know this is going to be a big one,
- 9:17Speaker 2: Like when it does come a big one.
- 9:20Speaker 1: It also seems like you haven't stopped since you've got
- 9:22Speaker 1: the No.
- 9:24Speaker 2: I hadn't, Like I had not stopped, and I'd had
- 9:27Speaker 2: a lot of alcohol.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Not much better had you since you'd landed, Had you
- 9:33Speaker 3: been to the toilet?
- 9:35Speaker 2: To be fair, I can't really remember. I think when
- 9:37Speaker 2: I first landed, like in the airport, I did, but.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I'm always liked or like, don't go to the toilet.
- 9:47Speaker 2: They put stuff in the plane food, So maybe not ship.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe that's right. I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure.
- 9:52Speaker 1: It's also the altitude.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't know what it is, but
- 9:56Speaker 2: it works. So my badly rumbling at this point, I'm
- 10:01Speaker 2: like all right, like I know I'm going to need
- 10:02Speaker 2: this toilet, so I get on my phone. I've got
- 10:04Speaker 2: an eth in in so I'm like, pre okay. But
- 10:07Speaker 2: I don't know. If you guys have ever been to
- 10:09Speaker 2: New York. Public toilets are really hard to find there,
- 10:13Speaker 2: and it's notorious, like if you google like picks to
- 10:16Speaker 2: New York, they're like find the public toilets before you
- 10:18Speaker 2: go anywhere, because there's just like none. Yeah, it's a
- 10:22Speaker 2: really big thing that I learned the hard way.
- 10:31Speaker 4: Do it.
- 10:32Speaker 2: No, do it. So I'm trying to like google these
- 10:35Speaker 2: places with public toilets, and it's just it's not really
- 10:37Speaker 2: working and I don't really have my bearings. And I
- 10:40Speaker 2: was like, Okay, we've got to make a decision here.
- 10:42Speaker 2: I can either turn back, which is further at this
- 10:44Speaker 2: point where I can keep going on this bridge, I
- 10:47Speaker 2: have to keep going. So I'm like, I can't. I
- 10:49Speaker 2: can't go any other way. And it's getting worse and
- 10:53Speaker 2: worse and worse. And because I was on this fike
- 10:56Speaker 2: lane at the end of the bridge, like I am
- 10:58Speaker 2: in proper pain, like there's cramps, I'm like doubling over.
- 11:03Speaker 2: I can barely walk properly as well. Like it's just
- 11:06Speaker 2: it's not a good time for me. I mean, while
- 11:08Speaker 2: these dogs like having a great fucking time then to me.
- 11:15Speaker 2: And I'm at the end of the bridge now and
- 11:17Speaker 2: it curves into this like massive loop around. It's obviously
- 11:20Speaker 2: for bikes that want to join onto the highway into
- 11:23Speaker 2: a bike plane, so I don't have many options. Bear
- 11:27Speaker 2: in mind, I didn't say this earlier. You know, I'm
- 11:30Speaker 2: wearing the you know the tight exercise shorts that like
- 11:33Speaker 2: alls of girls wear. It's one of those, but it's
- 11:36Speaker 2: like a full piece.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Okay, so it's like there's no mistake number one, the
- 11:43Speaker 1: stake number one. Yeah.
- 11:45Speaker 2: So I've got one of those like full piece exercise
- 11:48Speaker 2: outfits on and then like just a baggage shirt over
- 11:51Speaker 2: the top. And I'm walking down this loop of this
- 11:55Speaker 2: bikeplane and there's like bicycles going everywhere, and I see
- 12:00Speaker 2: some bushes and I'm like maybe, I'm like contemplating. I'm like,
- 12:03Speaker 2: maybe I can go in these bushes, but I'm like,
- 12:05Speaker 2: in America, if I do that, I'm gonna have to
- 12:08Speaker 2: get fully undressed somehow, keep the dog at arm's length
- 12:14Speaker 2: as well, and get away with it. And there's people
- 12:17Speaker 2: like on these bikes as cars, like it's busy, and
- 12:21Speaker 2: I was like, no, I can't do that. I can't
- 12:22Speaker 2: get arrested in America on my first day. Like you
- 12:26Speaker 2: can figure your shit out, just get it, get it together.
- 12:29Speaker 2: So yeah, so I'm really trying to like being an
- 12:35Speaker 2: independent woman. It's not working. So we get to the
- 12:39Speaker 2: end of the of the loop and I'm like, okay,
- 12:41Speaker 2: it loops out onto this four lane or maybe six
- 12:43Speaker 2: lane highway. I can't really remember, but it's quite busy.
- 12:46Speaker 2: There's like a SATA traffic lights like up the road,
- 12:48Speaker 2: and I'm like, I really can't wait. At this point,
- 12:50Speaker 2: I'm like fucking dying, like to put like it's really coming.
- 12:54Speaker 2: And I was like, Okay, me and the dog are
- 12:55Speaker 2: going to take a risk here. We're going to run
- 12:57Speaker 2: across this highway when there's a break, and then we're
- 13:00Speaker 2: going to try and get to the other side and
- 13:01Speaker 2: then find some type of shot that we can use
- 13:04Speaker 2: the bathroom in. So we do that, breaking the traffic
- 13:07Speaker 2: and I start jogging with this dog, and as soon
- 13:09Speaker 2: as I start jogging, it is calming out, like there
- 13:14Speaker 2: is not no controlling it. Like I tried my absolute
- 13:19Speaker 2: hardest to hold this in. So in the middle of
- 13:25Speaker 2: this highway, it's like a four Bridesmaid scene, Like I'm
- 13:28Speaker 2: in the middle of this highway with this dog shitting
- 13:32Speaker 2: myself as I'm like running across the road front the
- 13:35Speaker 2: Manhattan breeze.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Oh it's a lot, oh my, And was it running
- 13:44Speaker 1: down your leg?
- 13:45Speaker 2: It wasn't running down my leg at that point, only
- 13:48Speaker 2: because I had such tight shorts on, but it was.
- 13:51Speaker 2: But It was not like a solid so no, it
- 13:56Speaker 2: was the opposite of solid. It was like full like
- 13:59Speaker 2: we bum diary, like O yeah yeah. And at this
- 14:08Speaker 2: point I know what I've done. The dog's pretty happy,
- 14:10Speaker 2: like the dog's busy for the ride, to be honest,
- 14:12Speaker 2: but I'm like, oh my fucking god, I've just shited
- 14:15Speaker 2: myself on the Manhattan Bridge to New York. Your first.
- 14:21Speaker 2: The first thing I do is I literally just graced
- 14:23Speaker 2: it on a fucking park face.
- 14:26Speaker 1: In what.
- 14:31Speaker 2: And I was like, what the fuck am I gonna do?
- 14:33Speaker 2: Like how do I get out of this situation? You
- 14:36Speaker 2: see there for a couple of minutes, and I literally
- 14:38Speaker 2: remember saying to myself, Okay, you are an independent, twenty
- 14:43Speaker 2: eight year old woman in New York by yourself on
- 14:46Speaker 2: a solo travel you can do this. It's like get
- 14:48Speaker 2: your shit together, like it's literally and figured is it yourself?
- 14:52Speaker 1: Girl?
- 14:54Speaker 2: Literally have to give myself a fucking pep talk. So
- 15:00Speaker 2: sitting there and I was like, okay, what we're going
- 15:02Speaker 2: to do? And it's summer in New York. I went
- 15:04Speaker 2: there in summer. I don't know if you guys have
- 15:05Speaker 2: been there in someone, but like every five or ten
- 15:07Speaker 2: meters you get like a waft of like some weird
- 15:10Speaker 2: smelling thing like piss, shits, rubbish like. So I'm like,
- 15:13Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, so I might like I'm going to
- 15:16Speaker 2: smell obviously, but like it's not going to be.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Unusual, Okay, optimistic, Yeah.
- 15:22Speaker 2: We're a glass at full kind of person. Yeah. I
- 15:25Speaker 2: find this random guy sitting out in the street and
- 15:28Speaker 2: I was like, Hi, do you know if there's like
- 15:29Speaker 2: a bathroom anywhere? He speaks no English, and I'm like,
- 15:35Speaker 2: oh shit, but he points to like you must have
- 15:37Speaker 2: understood me, because he points to this shop across the road.
- 15:40Speaker 2: So I go to the front of this shop. I'm
- 15:43Speaker 2: tying this dog up outside in New York. I'm looking
- 15:46Speaker 2: after my friend's dog, and I'm like, please don't run away,
- 15:48Speaker 2: please don't get stolen. But like I've got bigger fucking
- 15:51Speaker 2: issues right now, So I try the dog up outside.
- 15:57Speaker 2: I walk into this like it's kind of like a
- 15:59Speaker 2: bow dagger, like a wrn a shop style thing, and
- 16:01Speaker 2: I was like, went straight to the counter and I
- 16:03Speaker 2: was like, do you have a bathroom? And you know,
- 16:06Speaker 2: you know when you look at someone and you can
- 16:08Speaker 2: tell they're going to say no, I could just tell.
- 16:12Speaker 2: He was going to be like no, sorry, and I looked.
- 16:14Speaker 2: I didn't even let him say no. I was like, please,
- 16:16Speaker 2: it's an emergency. Like he must just he must have
- 16:21Speaker 2: seen the desperation in my eyes because he was like,
- 16:23Speaker 2: oh okay, and like gave me the code to go
- 16:26Speaker 2: into this bathroom. I'm thanking my lucky stars in this
- 16:30Speaker 2: bathroom now because it has a sink in the toilet
- 16:33Speaker 2: area so it's all one room, and I'm like thanks
- 16:37Speaker 2: fuck for that. So I literally have to strip down,
- 16:40Speaker 2: full butt naked in the fucking bathroom and there's still
- 16:46Speaker 2: some left in me, right, So I'm like, oh, fucking
- 16:48Speaker 2: myself off.
- 16:49Speaker 1: My finish, like.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Going like I'm literally full butt naked in this bathroom
- 16:57Speaker 2: seems like wasing my full outfit I was running out
- 17:00Speaker 2: of it is not pretty. I'm like pump and the soap,
- 17:03Speaker 2: like trying to make it okay. I throw out my
- 17:05Speaker 2: undies like we're gonna raw dog it, like we're not
- 17:07Speaker 2: even trying to save the undies.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Like there could have been an actual, like fycand hidden
- 17:14Speaker 2: camera in this bathroom and I would still not give
- 17:17Speaker 2: a fuck to this day. Like I was just so
- 17:18Speaker 2: grateful that I could clean myself up, and then I
- 17:22Speaker 2: walk outside undressed. I was in there for like a
- 17:25Speaker 2: good twenty minutes. I recond like this poor shop owner
- 17:28Speaker 2: was probably like what the fuck is she doing?
- 17:31Speaker 1: You made good time twenty minutes? Is it clean? Did
- 17:35Speaker 1: you use TP? Or like? How bad is the clean? No?
- 17:40Speaker 2: It was it was pretty bad. Like I was like
- 17:42Speaker 2: wetting the toilet paper and like cleaning myself up like
- 17:46Speaker 2: like I was a newborn baby.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Like you know, oh my god, did the dog?
- 17:53Speaker 2: So I walked outside. The dog is still there, and
- 17:57Speaker 2: I'm like, holy fucking shit, what was the last forty
- 18:00Speaker 2: five minutes of my life? I go sit in this
- 18:03Speaker 2: beautiful park bench with the skyline of New York under
- 18:06Speaker 2: the Manhattan Bridge, and I'm like, oh my god, I've
- 18:08Speaker 2: got to call the girls group chat. And so that's
- 18:12Speaker 2: what I did. And that's how I sit myself under
- 18:15Speaker 2: the Manhattan Bridge.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Wait a second, you wait, at what point did you
- 18:19Speaker 1: go home? I thought I went home after.
- 18:22Speaker 2: That, I like that there you know what I actually did,
- 18:25Speaker 2: which is so fucking crazy. I think I got myself
- 18:27Speaker 2: a coffee.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Was all out.
- 18:33Speaker 2: I had nothing left, I had nothing left to give.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I thought, you're going to sit in the park and
- 18:37Speaker 1: be like, I am a strong independent worm. I just
- 18:41Speaker 1: did that.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Oh my god, it's such a running joat like my
- 18:45Speaker 2: whole friend group knows about it, my family know about it,
- 18:48Speaker 2: and like say, oh, like, I'm still like they shit yourself.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Goal to this day, have you got a boyfriend or
- 18:55Speaker 1: a girlfriend or a partner?
- 18:58Speaker 2: No?
- 18:59Speaker 1: No, thank god when you do just so happen to
- 19:03Speaker 1: settle down. Are you going to tell them this story?
- 19:06Speaker 2: Well, to be fair, I was seeing a guy a
- 19:08Speaker 2: few months ago and I told him this story and
- 19:11Speaker 2: I was like, if you can't fucking handle this story,
- 19:14Speaker 2: you can't handle me. Like we're actually still friends with No,
- 19:22Speaker 2: it didn't work out like romantically, but he always gives
- 19:25Speaker 2: me sit for it to this day. So honestly, I
- 19:27Speaker 2: think if I tell someone they have to be okay
- 19:29Speaker 2: with it, and if they're not, like they're not right.
- 19:31Speaker 1: That's a good way to test a man. Yeah, it's
- 19:33Speaker 1: a great way to test to me, Yeah, what.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Would your reaction be if you heard that from like
- 19:37Speaker 2: a girl you were seeing.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I would laugh. I would laugh hard because I would
- 19:42Speaker 1: be able to.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Picture myself in that situation because obviously that hasn't happened
- 19:46Speaker 3: to me, but I just I can picture that happening
- 19:50Speaker 3: to me because.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Of the amount of times I've nearly shipped myself.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Yeah, listen, I've gotten close a few times too, but
- 19:55Speaker 2: never like that.
- 19:56Speaker 1: I would appreciate the confidence of telling me too. Especially
- 19:59Speaker 1: it feels because you're always like, what's the most embrassing
- 20:02Speaker 1: thing that has happened to you? And then she just
- 20:04Speaker 1: unleashes this story.
- 20:05Speaker 2: I'll be like, well, I first date materials, state state material.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Yeah, it might be like married material, to be honest,
- 20:15Speaker 1: tell it at the wedding when you're getting married wedding night.
- 20:19Speaker 2: So I've got a confession exactly.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Well, we don't know where to go, Jake. We have
- 20:23Speaker 1: a decision this top that when you got to go,
- 20:27Speaker 1: you've got to go teer list o, ship man, I
- 20:30Speaker 1: reckon you and I need to talk about it on
- 20:33Speaker 1: the pod again then yeah, and then you can Benita
- 20:36Speaker 1: next Monday, you're listening, you're.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Here, I'll give about it.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Yeah, but thank you very much for coming on. That
- 20:44Speaker 1: was a great story. That was amazing.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Thanks for listening to my trauma real.
- 20:49Speaker 1: It's always good to vent it out. Therapy is a
- 20:52Speaker 1: thing during the rest of your day.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Thanks you to you guys. Bye.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Wow wow, Well, okay, I was four. I don't even
- 21:07Speaker 1: know where to start. I was in that She's sheet,
- 21:12Speaker 1: and I appreciate the detail of the story. You didn't
- 21:15Speaker 1: want to say it to her facts that it's not
- 21:16Speaker 1: as good as last two weeks ago. No, no, no, I
- 21:19Speaker 1: don't know. Oh, I thought that the thing is so
- 21:23Speaker 1: last week's one was like, to be fair, it's just
- 21:28Speaker 1: like she did it so many times. She should herself
- 21:31Speaker 1: so many times, but it was all quite often like
- 21:35Speaker 1: like a little bit of liquid, like sheer mount wise.
- 21:38Speaker 1: She never like she never had to do a big
- 21:41Speaker 1: clean up like that. She was the first.
- 21:43Speaker 3: So the worst time, I'm pretty sure was when she
- 21:46Speaker 3: did it at the pool at the hostel and she
- 21:49Speaker 3: was and she was always near a toilet, yeah, and
- 21:52Speaker 3: so she could clean herself up.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Actually, the worst was when she showed herself wile sleeping
- 21:56Speaker 1: again near a toilet. Yeah, like not embarrassing, is it?
- 21:59Speaker 1: I think I would prefer to go through what the
- 22:06Speaker 1: one last week went through. I don't think. I think
- 22:10Speaker 1: in Manhattan one is worse. I agree situationally, I also
- 22:15Speaker 1: think it's a massive contributing factor, like wearing that one
- 22:19Speaker 1: piece thing. I also think it's a massive contributing factor
- 22:21Speaker 1: that she was walking a dog. She had to look
- 22:25Speaker 1: after a fucking border collie's life. That's a lesson though
- 22:29Speaker 1: as well, Like when you're picking a wardrobe, don't pick
- 22:33Speaker 1: the one piece because you never know when you gotta go.
- 22:35Speaker 1: You gotta go because there's no bit of wardrobe that
- 22:38Speaker 1: you want to wear while shitting your pants with hairs.
- 22:40Speaker 1: But you know what, she don't want to get full naked,
- 22:43Speaker 1: at least if she was just wearing like biker shorts,
- 22:44Speaker 1: only she could have dacked them shirts still over like
- 22:46Speaker 1: your downstairs and then you were sweet. She was wearing
- 22:49Speaker 1: a baggy shirt butt, so she didn't want to take
- 22:51Speaker 1: that off and then take the one piece off and
- 22:53Speaker 1: then put the shirt back on you like yours are
- 22:55Speaker 1: still gonna be out at one point. I think this
- 23:01Speaker 1: one's worse. I think this one's worse as well. I
- 23:03Speaker 1: genuinely do, and I also am now like you can't
- 23:07Speaker 1: top that. I love how it all happened. She went
- 23:10Speaker 1: and got a coffee. Yeah, she was content with herself.
- 23:16Speaker 1: There's no fucking way that there wasn't still a bunch
- 23:20Speaker 1: of shit all over her fucking ass cheek. But like
- 23:23Speaker 1: she said, she's in New York. There's some characters everywhere
- 23:25Speaker 1: like they're just blending. You know.
- 23:28Speaker 3: I wonder how many people ship their pants in New
- 23:29Speaker 3: York each day. Probably a lot based off the fact
- 23:32Speaker 3: that there's no public and you know, when.
- 23:34Speaker 1: You're like in a new place you don't know anyone,
- 23:36Speaker 1: you're like really confident because like no one knows. Yeah, yeah,
- 23:38Speaker 1: she's like, fuck it, I'm just gonna own this shit. Yeah.
- 23:40Speaker 1: But if I was in her situation and I knew
- 23:44Speaker 1: the situation, I would But I wouldn't have gone. I
- 23:48Speaker 1: know myself, and I would not have gone as soon
- 23:50Speaker 1: as she was halfway across the bridge. I would have
- 23:52Speaker 1: legged at home. And it's better. I would have just
- 23:54Speaker 1: caught the shit until I got into my own apartment
- 23:56Speaker 1: or the apartment she was staying at. Agreed, Yeah, I agree.
- 23:59Speaker 1: Actually I would have shited myself. No, I would have
- 24:02Speaker 1: gone home with it in my pants, and I would
- 24:04Speaker 1: have fucking gotten the bath and I would have taken
- 24:06Speaker 1: it all off, then cleaned it up, and then cried
- 24:08Speaker 1: a bit and then burnt it and then and then
- 24:12Speaker 1: I would have maybe got dressed and got a coffee.
- 24:16Speaker 1: But everyone you know what to do now? Yeah, Jake
- 24:20Speaker 1: said this last week, And we have one sitting in
- 24:23Speaker 1: our email inbox that might be a contender for the
- 24:26Speaker 1: best shit when you got to go, you got to go.
- 24:28Speaker 1: But anyone listening right now if you think you have
- 24:30Speaker 1: a story that's the equivalent or better, Yeah, email Relatable
- 24:34Speaker 1: sixty nine at gmail dot com. Yep, and we will
- 24:37Speaker 1: get back to you and potentially organize a call if
- 24:40Speaker 1: it's somewhere on.
- 24:41Speaker 3: Par And now I want you to keep in mind
- 24:44Speaker 3: it needs to be like a worse situation than Benitas
- 24:49Speaker 3: just was.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, so situationally, that's all we're going off
- 24:53Speaker 1: of what we would prefer to be like the one
- 24:55Speaker 1: you would least prefer to be in out of the
- 24:56Speaker 1: two we've had so far as Benita. Yeah, and apologies
- 25:00Speaker 1: last week. What was her name? She didn't even want
- 25:01Speaker 1: to be anonymous. It was two weeks ago to two
- 25:06Speaker 1: weeks ago?
- 25:07Speaker 3: Yeaheah, that's fair. People forget names after a freaking day. Yeah,
- 25:12Speaker 3: so that one's number two. Yeah, we only had to
- 25:15Speaker 3: Barley Belly's number two. Bernita's number one.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Where you get like a list in here and rather
- 25:19Speaker 1: than you know, we've got demographic wise ninety percent women,
- 25:25Speaker 1: ten percent male, but girls seem to share their pants
- 25:30Speaker 1: of it. Oh ohadie, wow, wow, wow, I need to
- 25:44Speaker 1: calm down. We do. But I actually have something that
- 25:48Speaker 1: I wanted to bring up that that happened to me
- 25:51Speaker 1: the other day. Have you yourself? No? They were? When
- 25:54Speaker 1: did I? Nearly? I'm waiting for the next one, a
- 25:56Speaker 1: of one of us, or meet just one of them,
- 25:59Speaker 1: just one of us. It's having me a couple of times. Yeah, ship, bro,
- 26:01Speaker 1: I'm trying to think here.
- 26:02Speaker 3: I the other day went to Centennial park Lands with
- 26:08Speaker 3: Beth and Henry heaped the toilets there, yeah yeah, yeah,
- 26:11Speaker 3: yeah yeah, And we went and we had a looking
- 26:15Speaker 3: We went to a Henry's breed is called a mini retriever. Yeah,
- 26:18Speaker 3: and the only there's only two places you can get
- 26:20Speaker 3: him from. One of them is called Kate's Family Pets,
- 26:23Speaker 3: and they're like ethical, very good. And then the other one,
- 26:25Speaker 3: the guy's a bit sus doesn't let you come into
- 26:28Speaker 3: his place to pick him up. He has to meet
- 26:29Speaker 3: you somewhere, and so it's like no one from that
- 26:32Speaker 3: one is invited.
- 26:33Speaker 1: But we went to We went to a mini retriever
- 26:35Speaker 1: meet up. There was thirty of the little fuckers there, bro,
- 26:39Speaker 1: and so we were there. They all brothers and sisters there, no, no,
- 26:41Speaker 1: they're like from different parents and shit, and they're all
- 26:44Speaker 1: just like kind of hanging around. They don't even all
- 26:45Speaker 1: look the same. Yeah, it's kind of weird. Oh well,
- 26:47Speaker 1: it was cool.
- 26:48Speaker 3: So we went to that at Centennial Parklands, and then
- 26:51Speaker 3: Beth and I drove separately. And then when I was
- 26:54Speaker 3: driving home, I was like, oh, it's twenty minutes. I
- 26:57Speaker 3: could shit about twenty minutes that I'll be fine, You'll
- 26:59Speaker 3: make it. And so I get in the car. I
- 27:01Speaker 3: put in maps twenty two minutes. Who's counting though, And
- 27:04Speaker 3: so I go out and I get to an intersection
- 27:07Speaker 3: and I've got the option to turn right, and I'm
- 27:10Speaker 3: committed to going home more vear left, go back into
- 27:13Speaker 3: Centenia Parklands to take it.
- 27:15Speaker 1: And I veered left because I had a shit, bro,
- 27:18Speaker 1: And I'll.
- 27:18Speaker 3: Tell you what, barely made it. It was the right choice, lucky,
- 27:22Speaker 3: It was the right very lucky. But another thing that
- 27:25Speaker 3: I did last week was I went to the dentist
- 27:29Speaker 3: for the first time in seven years.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Seven years. I thought you knew that hadn't been for ages.
- 27:36Speaker 1: You told me you hadn't been for I'm pretty sure,
- 27:38Speaker 1: but I'll be hundredson honest with you. I'm prettyure. I've
- 27:40Speaker 1: been since twenty seventeen, so it's eight years. I assumed
- 27:42Speaker 1: AGES meant like a year or two? Seven? Seven? Eight years?
- 27:45Speaker 1: Did you tell them that? So are your teeth fucked?
- 27:50Speaker 1: Let me just mae. It astounds me that you're like
- 27:53Speaker 1: somewhat good looking. You don't wash your face, you look
- 27:59Speaker 1: after your No, I do look after them, Okay, okay.
- 28:03Speaker 1: So I go in.
- 28:05Speaker 3: The dentist calls me in, and I haven't been to
- 28:06Speaker 3: this dentist before because I'm Elevan Sydney here.
- 28:10Speaker 1: And also I haven't been to a dentist seven years,
- 28:12Speaker 1: so whatever. But she goes.
- 28:16Speaker 3: So, she goes, oh, when was the last time you've been,
- 28:18Speaker 3: because obviously have no records here. And I said, oh, look,
- 28:22Speaker 3: look doc, yeah, doctor, I think so, But I think
- 28:27Speaker 3: doctors don't like to say.
- 28:28Speaker 1: I just think of the Hangover movie, how he's a dentist.
- 28:31Speaker 1: He calls himself a dog. Come on, They're like, come on,
- 28:33Speaker 1: come on, man, face. I said, look I'm not gonna
- 28:36Speaker 1: lie to here. It's been about seven years. Oh my god.
- 28:39Speaker 1: And she goes what I was like, yeah, she goes, okay,
- 28:43Speaker 1: this will be interesting as we're walking into the fucking thing.
- 28:48Speaker 3: So I go down and then what did she say?
- 28:50Speaker 3: She said, so she was like, so no pain or anything.
- 28:53Speaker 3: I said, no, I haven't fund in me the pain
- 28:54Speaker 3: for seven years to come in the dentist. And she's like, so,
- 28:57Speaker 3: how came you haven't And I was like, go, honestly,
- 29:00Speaker 3: just I don't know. It's just so expensive, and I
- 29:02Speaker 3: very recently's got private health insurance, so I just thought
- 29:04Speaker 3: why not. And so she's like, okay, does X rays
- 29:10Speaker 3: like blah blah blah cool?
- 29:13Speaker 1: And then you went to a good dentist to get
- 29:14Speaker 1: X ray straight away? Oh yeah, extra show away.
- 29:16Speaker 3: And then she asked me if I am.
- 29:20Speaker 1: I just said, oh yeah, no.
- 29:21Speaker 3: I just like brushed twice a day with an electric
- 29:24Speaker 3: toothbrush and I was like, I've only had that.
- 29:26Speaker 1: I was being very honest. I was like, honestly, I've
- 29:27Speaker 1: only had the.
- 29:27Speaker 3: Electric truth brush for like less than a year, but
- 29:30Speaker 3: before that, twice a day with a normal brush. And
- 29:33Speaker 3: then she was like, oh, do you floss, And I
- 29:35Speaker 3: said again, I'm gonna be honest, haven't lost ever.
- 29:40Speaker 1: And she is like rearing and ready to get in
- 29:43Speaker 1: my mouth. Yeah. Pause because because she she's like keen
- 29:49Speaker 1: to see what's going Yeah. And so she goes in
- 29:51Speaker 1: with a little pick. My mouth's open.
- 29:53Speaker 3: She looks at my mouth and she's like okay, okay,
- 29:56Speaker 3: and she's like wow, surprise.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Not much. All I need is two fillings.
- 30:06Speaker 3: But I do need to get two fillings. And she
- 30:08Speaker 3: said they could have been preventable if you had been lossing. Oh,
- 30:12Speaker 3: And I was like, okay, sick. But when I tell
- 30:14Speaker 3: you that, the tone that she said it in and
- 30:19Speaker 3: the sound of disappointment of her saying like it's only two,
- 30:24Speaker 3: it's only two, like she wanted me to have like
- 30:27Speaker 3: ten fucking feelings and need to go to surgery or something.
- 30:29Speaker 1: She probably saw money dollar science as soon as he
- 30:32Speaker 1: said I've been here in eight years, the.
- 30:33Speaker 3: Facts, and and so she's like mad surprise, looks at
- 30:38Speaker 3: the X rays. She goes, yeah, you can see yeah,
- 30:39Speaker 3: just like one there, one there. So I have I've
- 30:42Speaker 3: got to go back. I haven't got my feelings out.
- 30:44Speaker 3: I've got to go back and get two fillings. But yeah,
- 30:47Speaker 3: she genuinely she wanted me to be in a world
- 30:50Speaker 3: of pain. She was actually like, I think she was
- 30:52Speaker 3: mad how middle aged?
- 30:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I think she was like mad that she didn't
- 30:57Speaker 1: win this one. I actually I actually probably hate you eight.
- 31:01Speaker 1: But she just said, like, you obviously have a really
- 31:03Speaker 1: good brushing technique, and I, okay, it's all genetics. She said,
- 31:08Speaker 1: My wisdom teeth look perfect, not a single bit of
- 31:11Speaker 1: pluck on them, and it's just these two random teeth
- 31:14Speaker 1: and different guys.
- 31:15Speaker 3: Yeah, and so I'm gonna start flossing. I haven't yet,
- 31:18Speaker 3: but I'm gonna start flossing. And shit, what else did
- 31:22Speaker 3: you say? I got to clean that day?
- 31:23Speaker 1: Yeah, she goes, Oh, because it's been so long, this
- 31:27Speaker 1: might be a bit sensitive and heard of. It didn't
- 31:28Speaker 1: hurt one bit. It's like, fuck you. I was walking
- 31:31Speaker 1: out of it like this. I was like, yeah, fucking
- 31:33Speaker 1: a mate, here we go. You love this word. The
- 31:37Speaker 1: juxtaposition of me and the dentist when I was growing
- 31:40Speaker 1: up what I fork when I was growing up? When
- 31:44Speaker 1: I was sixteen, I was blessed with buck teeth, so yeah,
- 31:50Speaker 1: and my teeth weren't straight. So for four years I
- 31:53Speaker 1: can't remember if it was every month, every I think
- 31:55Speaker 1: it was every month or every three months. I had
- 31:57Speaker 1: to go to the dentist get those little rubber things change.
- 32:00Speaker 1: They were tightened my elastics so my jaw would reconstruct,
- 32:03Speaker 1: so I didn't have bug teeth anymore. And then now
- 32:05Speaker 1: I go like every six months. Now of my teeth
- 32:07Speaker 1: are good, but it took so much effort for me
- 32:09Speaker 1: to be somewhat pretty, and you over here haven't been
- 32:12Speaker 1: in eight years. I got like a normal, just natural staining. Yeah,
- 32:16Speaker 1: my teeth aren't very yellow cheering, but I think it
- 32:20Speaker 1: just goes to show what I also have to have
- 32:23Speaker 1: a confession what I reckon. For like four of those
- 32:27Speaker 1: seven eight years, I didn't go to the dentist. I
- 32:29Speaker 1: was only brushing once a day, So you weren't waking
- 32:32Speaker 1: up and brushing. No, I think I was only brushing
- 32:37Speaker 1: at night for a fair wie. Yeah, so you weren't
- 32:39Speaker 1: working up for like the last four or five years.
- 32:40Speaker 1: I've been brushing day at morning at night. But I
- 32:43Speaker 1: just like waking up at the fucking sparrows far to
- 32:47Speaker 1: go builded some other fucker's house. I didn't want to
- 32:50Speaker 1: build it. I was like brushing my teeth. I was
- 32:52Speaker 1: making a coffee straight away and get my car because
- 32:54Speaker 1: I'd wake up with two minutes to leave and so
- 32:56Speaker 1: then I would just like go the whole day about
- 32:58Speaker 1: it and just have some gum. You should have told
- 32:59Speaker 1: her that's honestly fair, Like I had zero shame, and
- 33:03Speaker 1: she was like like I was just like, hey.
- 33:05Speaker 3: Sorry, I'm just just haven't been. But they booked me in.
- 33:10Speaker 3: She was like, do you want a book in your
- 33:10Speaker 3: six month check up?
- 33:12Speaker 1: You know, for right now? Please tell me. You said no,
- 33:16Speaker 1: So I said yeah, but I'll tell you right now
- 33:19Speaker 1: that motherfucker is getting canceled. Don't need it, Guys, rush
- 33:26Speaker 1: your teeth properly, and hey I will. I'll advocate for flossing,
- 33:30Speaker 1: even though I don't do it. But I'm going to
- 33:31Speaker 1: start all right.
- 33:32Speaker 3: I'm gonna buy those little picks you know how you
- 33:34Speaker 3: can just by a pack of the picky ones, like
- 33:35Speaker 3: with two on mouthwash.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Mouthwash. I have it and don't use it.
- 33:39Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, but I'm just gonna put them at my desk.
- 33:42Speaker 3: Sit at my desk every day. As soon as I
- 33:44Speaker 3: see I'll look at a pick and I'll be bored
- 33:45Speaker 3: because like and I'll just start flossing my teeth and
- 33:48Speaker 3: then I'll foss my teeth every day for like an hour.
- 33:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I hate you. I need my wisdom teeth removed too,
- 33:52Speaker 1: and I'm not doing you. Yeah, oh I don't. She
- 33:55Speaker 1: was how intrusive it is, and like the surgery you're
- 33:58Speaker 1: fucked after and my whole job is talking. I'm like,
- 34:01Speaker 1: I don't want to do.
- 34:01Speaker 3: That for when you seriously that when you get it,
- 34:04Speaker 3: you either want to get it like the day after
- 34:07Speaker 3: we record and then we have to record like a
- 34:09Speaker 3: day or two late that next week, or we need
- 34:10Speaker 3: to pre record for you because Beth got one side
- 34:14Speaker 3: out last year and it's funcked.
- 34:17Speaker 1: I don't want to. I'm scared. I'm scared. Cassie was
- 34:20Speaker 1: awake the whole time. Yeah no, Cassie got knocked out
- 34:22Speaker 1: because she was scared. Yeah no, she was awake the
- 34:23Speaker 1: whole time. But but the dentist goes, you might need
- 34:26Speaker 1: to get your wisdom teeth from moved and goes, here's
- 34:28Speaker 1: a referral to get next ro He wasn't a fancy
- 34:30Speaker 1: one that did it. There never gone. You need to
- 34:34Speaker 1: go get it out. I refuse because they come and go.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Sometimes they hurt like every like three months or so
- 34:38Speaker 1: because like they're growing and like I really have to fully.
- 34:42Speaker 3: Grown in no, no, And she said that they look
- 34:44Speaker 3: fine enough for room. They haven't like moved any other teeth.
- 34:47Speaker 3: So genetically, I will say. The one thing about that
- 34:50Speaker 3: is I think because I don't have to get rid
- 34:51Speaker 3: of mine and you do so.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Lucky, I'm like, I don't have to. It's a choice.
- 34:56Speaker 1: I'm lucky genetically. But I'm pretty sure you're other advance
- 35:00Speaker 1: and evolution than I am. Makes sense there you go, Yeah,
- 35:03Speaker 1: you're simple to that.
- 35:04Speaker 3: Yeah, me and me and my compadres that further back
- 35:08Speaker 3: in the evolution lemn, I need braces.
- 35:10Speaker 1: I'm wrong with you, guys. I wish that you opened
- 35:14Speaker 1: your mouth and that dentist was like, whoa right, I'm
- 35:17Speaker 1: telling you us. As soon as my dad took me
- 35:19Speaker 1: off his private health care, like when I was younger
- 35:21Speaker 1: and I was like seventeen eighteen, I didn't go, oh,
- 35:24Speaker 1: I'll tell you what private healthcare is the best. I
- 35:26Speaker 1: went to the physio recently. Yeah, and the first one
- 35:28Speaker 1: was free. Yeah. I was like, first and last free
- 35:31Speaker 1: plug to HCF, Big Up's HCF because my dentist was free.
- 35:35Speaker 1: It's so good.
- 35:36Speaker 3: Yeah, body, And if I booked in before the end
- 35:39Speaker 3: of June to get my feelings out, also free. But
- 35:42Speaker 3: if not, I think it was like seventy five bucks
- 35:44Speaker 3: a filling.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Well, the only reason I'm thinking about and like contemplating
- 35:47Speaker 1: getting my wisdom teaper mood is now I've got private healthcare. Yeah, no,
- 35:50Speaker 1: you actually should. Yeah, let's use this bad boy fuck it,
- 35:53Speaker 1: like just pre record for we'll pre record for a week.
- 35:56Speaker 1: You know, membership on there too. Yeah, you gotta go
- 36:00Speaker 1: to a doctor and be like, you need to diagnose exercise,
- 36:04Speaker 1: which everyone needs. So if you go to a diagnosis
- 36:07Speaker 1: of exercise should just come when you're born. Yeah, I know,
- 36:09Speaker 1: but you actually need to referral from a doctor to
- 36:11Speaker 1: get a gym like membership. We won't get one though.
- 36:15Speaker 1: That's probably only for our beast people. No, but everyone
- 36:18Speaker 1: needs it for their heart help. I'm thinking imagine the
- 36:19Speaker 1: doctor is like about, you don't need to go to
- 36:21Speaker 1: the gym.
- 36:21Speaker 3: That's crazy to you.
- 36:24Speaker 1: You're too fit. So if we want to, it's only
- 36:28Speaker 1: twenty five dollars a week. No, that's okay, let's claim
- 36:32Speaker 1: that ship. Let's claim it all start. I can't wait
- 36:35Speaker 1: to claim a massa. Let's be a little claim ahle yeah, boy,
- 36:37Speaker 1: that's what we are now claim. All we talk about
- 36:40Speaker 1: is actually just claim everything.
- 36:49Speaker 3: All right, guys and predominantly girls. Last week, you you
- 36:57Speaker 3: were blessed to hear us talk about men will literally blessed?
- 37:00Speaker 1: We were they blessed? I don't know. Yeah, I was
- 37:06Speaker 1: thinking about doing like do you strick? We could do
- 37:09Speaker 1: women would women will literally and see what they do.
- 37:14Speaker 1: We'd have to preface this is from women, Oh yeah.
- 37:17Speaker 3: Are from girls, But like do you it can be funny.
- 37:19Speaker 3: I think probably be funny for us. Yeah, maybe we
- 37:22Speaker 3: should try it. But this week we did parents will literally.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Yes, came with some heat. I thought it would be
- 37:28Speaker 1: very relatable. One of the hardest things realizing growing up
- 37:33Speaker 1: is that parents are toxic too. Oh yeah, Because when
- 37:36Speaker 1: you're like a kid, you're like, oh my mom and
- 37:38Speaker 1: dad are perfect, yeah, and it's a harsh reality that
- 37:41Speaker 1: they're not. You do. Yeah.
- 37:42Speaker 3: You get to an age where you realize like, oh,
- 37:45Speaker 3: red flag, that was red flag?
- 37:47Speaker 1: That was red flag? The fuck? And then you're like
- 37:49Speaker 1: mom and you tell her and she's like bitch, She's
- 37:52Speaker 1: like not apologizing just the worst mother. That's what they do.
- 38:00Speaker 1: I've got one, a good one to go off that. Yeah,
- 38:03Speaker 1: kick things off.
- 38:03Speaker 3: Parents will literally say, quote, we didn't do the whole
- 38:07Speaker 3: therapy thing back in my day, and it's like, yeah,
- 38:10Speaker 3: we can tell.
- 38:11Speaker 1: We can tell. It's like they're claiming it. I know
- 38:16Speaker 1: what about parents? That just reminded me too, how they
- 38:18Speaker 1: always say, like when we got to we get to
- 38:21Speaker 1: school while like getting lists from our parents on the bus,
- 38:23Speaker 1: Like back in my day, we used to have to's
- 38:25Speaker 1: like they fucking walked fifty kilometers every day. Stop, I
- 38:28Speaker 1: have one. Parents will literally make it seem like they
- 38:31Speaker 1: climbed a mountain and hiked a dangerous forests just to
- 38:34Speaker 1: get to school. Yeah why yeah, literally they walked like
- 38:37Speaker 1: twenty meters like oh thanks for the lift. Back in
- 38:40Speaker 1: my day, yeah crawl just to get to school. I
- 38:44Speaker 1: didn't have legs. But give a fuck, Like where the
- 38:49Speaker 1: schools haven't changed like one hundred years, what are you
- 38:51Speaker 1: talking about? They really didn't. Yeah, you're just going to
- 38:54Speaker 1: complaining Jesus. Parents will literally allow the youngest child everything
- 38:59Speaker 1: the old child can only dream about. Fair I'm middle
- 39:05Speaker 1: your youngest. Yeah, did you notice anything, I've definitely got
- 39:10Speaker 1: an easier ride. I think it's somewhat similar. Yeah, but
- 39:14Speaker 1: one of the perks of being the younger child is
- 39:16Speaker 1: your parents get more financial freedom the older they get.
- 39:20Speaker 3: That's what I was going to say. So me and
- 39:22Speaker 3: Joanna were two years apart and then my parents got divorced. Well,
- 39:27Speaker 3: my parents were together poor when they first got divorced,
- 39:30Speaker 3: obviously poor, and then they both remarried and had two kids,
- 39:34Speaker 3: two more kids each. Those two So those four siblings
- 39:37Speaker 3: of mine, the two on my mom's side and the
- 39:40Speaker 3: two on my living the dream.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Those motherfuckers are living in the dream, both of them. Literally.
- 39:47Speaker 1: I think that's one of the perks. I know a
- 39:48Speaker 1: lot of people are like, I don't know, I want
- 39:50Speaker 1: to live with my child and grow up together, whereas
- 39:53Speaker 1: like I think you should be old and rich, get
- 39:54Speaker 1: things upside. It is what it is. I got blamed
- 39:59Speaker 1: for that last time, so fucking that's your fault. I
- 40:03Speaker 1: can't see it. So I got cards and it says
- 40:06Speaker 1: relatables and I can't see it. Probably the first time
- 40:11Speaker 1: is that me or you fuck? I think I'll go.
- 40:15Speaker 1: Parents will literally use emojis in every message, and it's
- 40:20Speaker 1: totally irrelevant, literally, and the emojis don't match. Yeah, the
- 40:25Speaker 1: only one that matches is the thumbs up from dad.
- 40:27Speaker 1: Thumbs up from dad. Yeah it hurts. Yeah, it hurts
- 40:30Speaker 1: the soul, but I know what he means. You'll get like,
- 40:32Speaker 1: for some reason, you might be talking to some random
- 40:34Speaker 1: parent and then they'll send you some emojis like they're
- 40:36Speaker 1: flirting with you. Yeah, what's with? What's with? Like a
- 40:39Speaker 1: parent and a winky face? Yeah, like, don't flirt with.
- 40:49Speaker 1: Parents will literally give you trauma and then ask why
- 40:52Speaker 1: you're single. Facts, fucking hell, I'm single because of you.
- 40:57Speaker 1: I can relate to that. I can actually that pretty hard.
- 41:05Speaker 3: Parents will literally call you and then not answer the
- 41:10Speaker 3: phone when you call two seconds later.
- 41:11Speaker 1: I have one like that. Oh, it's like they somewhat
- 41:15Speaker 1: throw the phone into the ocean as soon as you
- 41:18Speaker 1: don't pick I don't get it. I don't get it either,
- 41:20Speaker 1: and you call back straight out and just pisses you off. Yeah,
- 41:22Speaker 1: you're just like, mum, what do you Possibly? My biggest
- 41:24Speaker 1: pe people about, just people in general, yeah, is when
- 41:27Speaker 1: someone like no, you do it all the time. You'll
- 41:30Speaker 1: call me and I call me back within five minutes
- 41:32Speaker 1: and then you don't call me back for like an hour. Yeah, yeah,
- 41:35Speaker 1: you do it all the time. I will admit that
- 41:39Speaker 1: I'm bad. I'm pretty bad at a replying, yeah, because
- 41:42Speaker 1: I'll read it and then sometimes sometimes I type the
- 41:47Speaker 1: message and I quickly hit sen but don't fully hit it,
- 41:51Speaker 1: so I think I've hit it. Sometimes I swear to God,
- 41:53Speaker 1: I go into our messages and.
- 41:54Speaker 3: I've typed a message, and it's just sick because I'm like,
- 41:56Speaker 3: why has not he replied to you? Oh, yeah, because
- 41:58Speaker 3: I haven't sent a message, but it's just that. And
- 42:00Speaker 3: then other times mentally replied, I, actually it's on you.
- 42:04Speaker 3: If I've mentioned how.
- 42:06Speaker 1: You're in your highs about your dentists are, you should
- 42:09Speaker 1: get your brain check. Your memory is like a goldfish.
- 42:11Speaker 1: I'd actually you forget things like that. You know, i'd
- 42:14Speaker 1: copp a memory. Yeah, how do you? Let's just brain scan? Yeah,
- 42:18Speaker 1: play that card game? Remember two wins probably the equivalent.
- 42:22Speaker 1: We should make it a dual, yeah, ye, make it
- 42:24Speaker 1: a map. It's weird though, because reading a tour or
- 42:27Speaker 1: like a math, you're really good at remembering that, all right,
- 42:30Speaker 1: here's what it is, but you can't remember to post
- 42:31Speaker 1: a clip it's a self centered thing.
- 42:33Speaker 3: Ah No, but no, I was just going to say,
- 42:35Speaker 3: if it benefits me, I remember it. But posting a
- 42:37Speaker 3: clip benefits me, So maybe it's not a self centered thing.
- 42:40Speaker 1: Certain things like.
- 42:43Speaker 3: Admittedly, if I meet someone name in, name out, yeah
- 42:47Speaker 3: that's fair, names fair. See there you go benefit me.
- 42:51Speaker 3: But no, posting a clip benefits me. So maybe it's
- 42:54Speaker 3: not that.
- 42:54Speaker 1: I remember when I used to I did a couple
- 42:56Speaker 1: of job interviews with some random places and you meet everyone, Hey,
- 42:59Speaker 1: nice to meet, and I'm like, the next day, my god,
- 43:01Speaker 1: I don't know anyone's there. You just do the classic like, hey, bro,
- 43:05Speaker 1: how's it going. It's a lot to take in, so
- 43:07Speaker 1: much so bewhelming. Okay. Parents will literally give you dating advice,
- 43:14Speaker 1: but they literally married your dad. Fuck yeah. Parents will
- 43:25Speaker 1: give you a dating advice and they're divorced. You can't talk.
- 43:29Speaker 1: Look what you did. That's so heavy. You can roast them.
- 43:33Speaker 1: But because that's like part of you. That's a good point.
- 43:37Speaker 1: This one. I think this one's really funny. Parents will
- 43:39Speaker 1: literally lie to you about Santa. To be fair, what
- 43:46Speaker 1: age do you reckon? You tell your kid Santa's not
- 43:48Speaker 1: real or you're gonna wait for him. I think our generation. Pause.
- 43:54Speaker 1: Do anyone listening think Santa's Santa is real? Surely there's
- 44:02Speaker 1: no one under the age of like eight, there's no way.
- 44:06Speaker 1: But I think that our so we're in gen Z,
- 44:10Speaker 1: you and I.
- 44:10Speaker 3: But I think that, like, maybe you and I like
- 44:14Speaker 3: our little generation of gen Z and maybe give it
- 44:19Speaker 3: down to like twenty year olds, all right, nineteen and under.
- 44:25Speaker 3: I just don't think Santa's a thing, like it's like
- 44:28Speaker 3: five years old. I think they're finding out now, really, Yeah.
- 44:31Speaker 1: I remember being like I was eight or nine. I
- 44:34Speaker 1: found out at tennis. Yeah, I remember, CARDI remember you're
- 44:38Speaker 1: telling that story.
- 44:39Speaker 3: I remember, yeah, finding out when I was probably in
- 44:43Speaker 3: year four or five. And then I faked it for
- 44:46Speaker 3: a while because I still wanted to get good presents
- 44:48Speaker 3: and also I had younger siblings. But I found out
- 44:51Speaker 3: because my mum spelled fucking Sanda's name wrong, probably fucking
- 44:54Speaker 3: drunk or some shit, and so I remember just the
- 44:57Speaker 3: next day being like the fuck so, but I reckon
- 45:01Speaker 3: social media, video.
- 45:03Speaker 1: Games, just everything. We weren't as connected. There's mad downside
- 45:08Speaker 1: of being the younger sibling. Although your parents have more
- 45:11Speaker 1: financial freedom when you're the younger child, Santa gets cut
- 45:16Speaker 1: off quicker. Santa gets cut off quicker.
- 45:18Speaker 3: And also, if you're in a fight with your older sibling,
- 45:20Speaker 3: an older sibling has nothing to lose.
- 45:22Speaker 1: Fuck you, Santa's not real. Runs off your turn. Parents
- 45:29Speaker 1: will literally say dinner is ready and then start cooking.
- 45:34Speaker 1: Fuck off. That's so true. I missed that. I miss
- 45:38Speaker 1: eating around the dinner table with my feeling. Ah, that
- 45:42Speaker 1: is so true. When I was how over you when
- 45:44Speaker 1: you stopped eating around the dinner table? I think I
- 45:46Speaker 1: was actually pretty late. Mum was good and like made
- 45:48Speaker 1: us yeah, but whenever she was out, Dad was like
- 45:50Speaker 1: watch TV, son, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, when you're like eleven,
- 45:54Speaker 1: maybe when you're a kid, you don't want to eat
- 45:55Speaker 1: at the table. Yeah, but then you start to miss it.
- 45:58Speaker 3: When I lived in Canada, every night without fail, at
- 46:01Speaker 3: the table, we're not allowed to eat the lander and
- 46:02Speaker 3: blah blah blah blah blah. If mum was out, my
- 46:05Speaker 3: stepdad would make get this macaroni and sausage, cut up
- 46:10Speaker 3: sausage in the macaroni.
- 46:11Speaker 1: And I didn't know how to cook, and no, he
- 46:12Speaker 1: didn't know how to cook at all.
- 46:13Speaker 3: And then I would just put catch up on it
- 46:15Speaker 3: and to me, delicacy fucking miss three style Michelin. But
- 46:19Speaker 3: he would also we call it like mac and wienas
- 46:21Speaker 3: or some shit and mack ANDAs. Yeah, and we were
- 46:24Speaker 3: allowed to watch TV when he was the But you're like,
- 46:28Speaker 3: you're not too bad.
- 46:32Speaker 1: But then when I went back the after moving here.
- 46:34Speaker 3: The first time we went back, my younger brother and sister,
- 46:38Speaker 3: they come up, get a plate, walked out of their rooms.
- 46:40Speaker 3: I wasn't allowed to fucking bring food onto that carpet downstairs.
- 46:44Speaker 1: It's like your parents lost the energy.
- 46:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that's it, the energy to give a shit. And
- 46:49Speaker 3: then but here dinner every night I reckon up until
- 46:52Speaker 3: I was like seventeen dinner table.
- 46:54Speaker 1: One thing about girls, So both places my girlfriends lived at,
- 46:58Speaker 1: she lived with a roommate, they've never had a dinner
- 46:59Speaker 1: take because they're quite small. They can, like I don't know,
- 47:03Speaker 1: sit cross legged around a little coffee table and put
- 47:06Speaker 1: their food on them. And you put me like quite
- 47:08Speaker 1: a large male going down with a burger. But this
- 47:11Speaker 1: is the hardest thing ever. Yeah, no, no, no, I agree.
- 47:14Speaker 1: I've always said, I'm like, I'll pay for it.
- 47:16Speaker 3: No, I agree, But it's old place, no table. Yeah,
- 47:18Speaker 3: it's so hard on them. Yeah, and this just complaining.
- 47:21Speaker 3: When I'm spilling stuff, I'm like this, what.
- 47:23Speaker 1: Are you talking about?
- 47:24Speaker 3: It's also I don't enjoy the meal as much if
- 47:27Speaker 3: I can't fucking have it sitting there and lean over.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Yeah. Literally, okay. Parents will literally say, quote, I don't
- 47:37Speaker 1: have a favorite, but show you who their favorite is. Yeah,
- 47:40Speaker 1: action speak that of them. But if you had to
- 47:41Speaker 1: be the favorite, I know your parents had like I
- 47:44Speaker 1: don't know, hey maybe maybe, No, I don't know. I
- 47:47Speaker 1: reckon it's pretty on par Okay. Yeah, we have different attributes. Man,
- 47:50Speaker 1: my brother are like complete opposites. Yeah, so, like I
- 47:52Speaker 1: think they like each other for different things, for each
- 47:55Speaker 1: one of us for different things.
- 47:56Speaker 3: I've convinced myself, and I don't know if this is
- 47:58Speaker 3: something I should talk about it or if this is
- 48:01Speaker 3: something I should bring up, but I've convinced myself that
- 48:04Speaker 3: my younger siblings they just need more help than I.
- 48:09Speaker 1: I would say, you've made maybe, Oh, no, it's it's
- 48:14Speaker 1: pretty good. I was Joanna's pretty independent. I was going
- 48:16Speaker 1: to say, you're probably made in the proudest just because
- 48:18Speaker 1: you do something cool. Maybe it was pretty good to
- 48:21Speaker 1: be fair just because you do something cool. I don't
- 48:23Speaker 1: know I would say, yeah, I don't know. I wonder
- 48:25Speaker 1: if maybe should I feel like I don't rely on them, No,
- 48:28Speaker 1: no at all. Maybe I do, though I don't even
- 48:30Speaker 1: know what. Maybe like you should go to like therapy
- 48:33Speaker 1: and just like talk about your childhood. Oh yeah, one
- 48:37Speaker 1: hundred percent you want one hundred percent? Sure?
- 48:41Speaker 3: I just like am not like again you know who're
- 48:44Speaker 3: talking about you can go to therapy when you're all good,
- 48:45Speaker 3: like it's like a maintenance checkup.
- 48:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I just can't.
- 48:48Speaker 3: It's like I just feel like because I am sweet, Yeah,
- 48:53Speaker 3: when I go there, stuff's going to be brought up.
- 48:57Speaker 3: So it's like I feel like what's going to happen
- 48:59Speaker 3: is you know how to grow your hair really long girls,
- 49:01Speaker 3: so you need to cut it and it grows better
- 49:03Speaker 3: because it's like you don't get split ends or like
- 49:05Speaker 3: I feel like I'm going to go backwards before you
- 49:08Speaker 3: go Yeah. Yeah, So say I'm like eighty percent out
- 49:10Speaker 3: of one hundred happy, which is like pretty fucking good. Right,
- 49:13Speaker 3: Let's just say I start going to therapy.
- 49:15Speaker 1: I reckon I'm going to dip down to fifty and
- 49:18Speaker 1: then I'll go back up to like ninety ninety five.
- 49:21Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I feel like that's what's
- 49:22Speaker 1: gonna happen. Maybe you should have the same mindset as
- 49:23Speaker 1: the dentist though, But like I just got private health insurance.
- 49:26Speaker 1: Let's get in there. I use it a therapy. Yeah, facts, Yeah,
- 49:30Speaker 1: first one's free. I don't know if the first one's
- 49:32Speaker 1: free for the If it is, dip me down to fifty,
- 49:35Speaker 1: I'm staying there. Okay. Parents will literally not acknowledge the
- 49:44Speaker 1: shit they've done wrong again facts, parents a petty. I'm
- 49:49Speaker 1: just the worst mom ever, I'm just the worst dad ever. Whatever.
- 49:55Speaker 1: Fucking hell. Parents will literally birth you and expect you
- 50:01Speaker 1: to be grateful. I saw one was like perfume without
- 50:06Speaker 1: asking for your concern exactly. I always see Yeah, they
- 50:11Speaker 1: always make something your problem. Yeah, you fucking chose to
- 50:14Speaker 1: have just love me. Yeah, oh, this one's good. Parents
- 50:20Speaker 1: will literally treat you like a child and expect you
- 50:22Speaker 1: to act like an adult.
- 50:26Speaker 3: So annoying because when you're a kid, did your parents
- 50:30Speaker 3: ever say to you if you want to act like
- 50:31Speaker 3: an adult.
- 50:32Speaker 1: Or treat you like an adult? I was lucky. I
- 50:34Speaker 1: think I have a very good, nice upbringing. Yeah, I
- 50:39Speaker 1: don't have any really like parent trauma. My parents need
- 50:42Speaker 1: to do anything too toxic. No fair, But I've heard
- 50:45Speaker 1: from close friends shit that other parents yeah, and I'm
- 50:48Speaker 1: just like, oh yeah, these are all very relatable, very relatable.
- 50:53Speaker 3: I think this one's relatable probably for everyone including you.
- 50:56Speaker 3: Parents will literally expect the house to look.
- 50:59Speaker 1: Like no one lives there when they have company. Oh legit, legit.
- 51:03Speaker 1: That's the most annoying thing. To be fair, I was
- 51:05Speaker 1: one of those kids who like, did you ever do this?
- 51:07Speaker 1: I feel like you wouldn't have. Whenever I had friends over,
- 51:10Speaker 1: I would clean up because I was like conscious about
- 51:13Speaker 1: her house. Fuck no, yeah, I wouldn't do this. I
- 51:15Speaker 1: would always do it, like especially in my room, like
- 51:17Speaker 1: even like the bathroom and shit. So you thought, really,
- 51:20Speaker 1: I've always done that. So did you do it when
- 51:22Speaker 1: a girl was coming over for the first time? Oh
- 51:23Speaker 1: yea yeah, yeah ye yeah.
- 51:24Speaker 3: I did it with friends too, and I wouldn't do
- 51:26Speaker 3: it with friends but different girl yeah yeah, yeah a girl.
- 51:29Speaker 1: Yeah yeah yeah. I had to do it for a girl.
- 51:31Speaker 1: But I love When I first started and see my girlfriend,
- 51:35Speaker 1: she was like, did you claim from me? I'm like, no,
- 51:36Speaker 1: it's always like this.
- 51:38Speaker 3: I have a funny story to tell you because you
- 51:40Speaker 3: said that, you know how a while ago I picked
- 51:42Speaker 3: Cassie up from this, Yeah.
- 51:44Speaker 1: I have a slub. Sometimes we were we were.
- 51:51Speaker 3: Just drun back, like chatting, and then I had very
- 51:54Speaker 3: recently moved in with Beth, and so we were talking
- 51:56Speaker 3: about that, and I was just talking about how I
- 51:58Speaker 3: was like, oh, it's honestly like a lot better than
- 51:59Speaker 3: I thought. I thought I wasn't gonna like Shanna bed,
- 52:04Speaker 3: but I do. And then I said like, oh, I've
- 52:09Speaker 3: also randomly i'm the clean one, Like I find I
- 52:14Speaker 3: need to clean a lot more. I can't put up
- 52:16Speaker 3: with the mess even though when I was here I could,
- 52:18Speaker 3: because I don't know why. And Johanna would get livid
- 52:21Speaker 3: about it. But what does she say? She said something
- 52:23Speaker 3: like how when she goes to your house if it's messy,
- 52:28Speaker 3: but she doesn't give a shit. Yeah, she said that
- 52:30Speaker 3: the only thing she's worried about moving in with you
- 52:32Speaker 3: is that like, you guys are gonna have to like
- 52:35Speaker 3: she's gonna have to ask you to clean stuff because like,
- 52:37Speaker 3: and she's never had to do it because at your
- 52:39Speaker 3: house it's not her house, and she can keep her
- 52:42Speaker 3: house clean, it's in her control. But she's gonna be like,
- 52:44Speaker 3: I don't want to do all the cleaning.
- 52:45Speaker 1: When we move in together.
- 52:48Speaker 3: So she was like, the only thing is that it's
- 52:51Speaker 3: gonna be the cleaner, she said, I know he cleans
- 52:53Speaker 3: up before I get there.
- 52:54Speaker 1: I don't know he does, I said, But the thing
- 52:56Speaker 1: about her is she wakes up at like five am,
- 52:58Speaker 1: and I always ask it, like what are you doing
- 53:00Speaker 1: the weekend? Saturday, Sunday, and like midweek she's cleaning like
- 53:03Speaker 1: I can. There's six hours of cleaning every week. I
- 53:05Speaker 1: do like thirty thirty forty five minutes a week. I
- 53:08Speaker 1: wanted to bring up on the podcast. Why is it
- 53:11Speaker 1: so hard to keep a house clean? It is?
- 53:14Speaker 3: Yeah, in part, I actually understand where my mum was
- 53:18Speaker 3: coming from.
- 53:19Speaker 1: Now you don't even have that my stuff. Imagine when
- 53:21Speaker 1: you accumulate heaps of stuff like our parents do, or
- 53:23Speaker 1: I'm telling you, I can't fucking stay on top of
- 53:25Speaker 1: it at my house. It's so hard to keep dust
- 53:28Speaker 1: down and everything like that.
- 53:28Speaker 3: I bought an air purifier just to try and keep
- 53:30Speaker 3: the fucking dust down in my room. Yeah, I have
- 53:32Speaker 3: to vacuum in there three times a week because the
- 53:33Speaker 3: henry stupid hair.
- 53:34Speaker 1: Yeah, a little fuck.
- 53:35Speaker 3: And then you've got to like you'll be walking like
- 53:38Speaker 3: I have to. I have to wear slippers now because
- 53:41Speaker 3: if I feel a tiny bump of a crumb, I
- 53:43Speaker 3: get all frantic and have to vacuum just to stop vacuuming.
- 53:46Speaker 3: Maybe it's everywhere, is it OCD?
- 53:48Speaker 1: I don't know, I didn't have it here. Yeah, I
- 53:50Speaker 1: just have it there for some reason.
- 53:51Speaker 3: And then oh mop, and you mop. I swear the
- 53:55Speaker 3: next day this shit's dirty again.
- 53:57Speaker 1: Yeah right. Maybe it's like a good influence having your
- 53:59Speaker 1: girlfriend there, because not that you're trying to impress her,
- 54:01Speaker 1: but you're trying to be always on your cleaner than
- 54:04Speaker 1: she is not dirty, but she's messy. The thing that
- 54:09Speaker 1: happens with me is when I get stressed or really busy,
- 54:11Speaker 1: the first thing to go is my cleanliness around the house.
- 54:13Speaker 1: Like close you just stand on the go around, Oh no, no,
- 54:15Speaker 1: yea yeah yeah, yeh yeah, and then I clean up
- 54:17Speaker 1: like on the weekend. Yeah, that's my thing. Fair, What
- 54:20Speaker 1: have I got here? I got one left?
- 54:24Speaker 3: Parents will literally, oh my god, they'll tell you sex
- 54:28Speaker 3: is bad until they want grandkids.
- 54:32Speaker 1: Oh, we haven't experienced that yet. No, my parents are
- 54:36Speaker 1: asking me for grandkids already. My stepmom, bro, what about
- 54:39Speaker 1: your owner, she's older. You don't think that's the first
- 54:42Speaker 1: thing I say every time? She should be like look
- 54:43Speaker 1: at her.
- 54:43Speaker 3: And then they're like, you mean that single bitch. I
- 54:47Speaker 3: swear it for wed. So my stepmom said that single bitch.
- 54:50Speaker 1: I'm just kidding. You should be like, I'm a just dinner.
- 54:52Speaker 1: I don't even go to the dentist fair. Last time,
- 54:56Speaker 1: Beth and I were in Queens at my parents' house.
- 54:59Speaker 1: Kate and Beth over there having a little fucking, I
- 55:02Speaker 1: don't know, some sort of scheming session and I come
- 55:05Speaker 1: in and then sucking, and BET's like, oh, yeah, okay,
- 55:10Speaker 1: that's to say, what does Beth think of that Bets
- 55:13Speaker 1: would have one right now? Really has a trucker?
- 55:16Speaker 2: Oh right?
- 55:17Speaker 3: Sa out here just like coaxing Kate into like thinking
- 55:19Speaker 3: she's gonna have a grand kid in the next year, And.
- 55:21Speaker 1: I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, settle the f down. We
- 55:25Speaker 1: didn't have them at the same time, exactly, friends, yeah, exactly,
- 55:28Speaker 1: we've gotta be on the same mental game exactly. But
- 55:30Speaker 1: you put it on me like he's not ready. I'm
- 55:33Speaker 1: more I'm not ready. I have nowhere near it. Oh,
- 55:36Speaker 1: this is my last one, A nice one to finish it.
- 55:39Speaker 1: We had about twelve thousand responses, a lot of scrolling
- 55:42Speaker 1: to get all these answers, and I saw one like this,
- 55:45Speaker 1: good one parents will literally love me. To pieces fair.
- 55:50Speaker 1: I did see one that said love and support me. Yeah,
- 55:52Speaker 1: I did see that, and I chose to ignore. Must
- 55:55Speaker 1: be nice to be fair. My parents do love and
- 55:59Speaker 1: support me, but it's so much funer to just like
- 56:02Speaker 1: just roast the fuck out.
- 56:03Speaker 5: All right, Jake, it's back back deep segments back.
- 56:17Speaker 3: See they seem to be back in like a good
- 56:20Speaker 3: what's it called consistent fashion?
- 56:21Speaker 1: This is an old classic. Okay, I'm going to tell
- 56:24Speaker 1: you how I came up with this deep segment. So
- 56:27Speaker 1: it's not my question, it's not your question. No, no, no, no.
- 56:31Speaker 1: This happened organically, which we like. I was in the
- 56:35Speaker 1: shower when I had an epiphany, and there was a
- 56:39Speaker 1: few things in my life that happened that made me
- 56:42Speaker 1: feel this way. You were a contributing factor. Actually, I
- 56:46Speaker 1: know what you're about to say. What just say it?
- 56:51Speaker 1: You don't know what about to say, about two weeks ago,
- 56:56Speaker 1: you had a little saying like, I've just been really
- 56:59Speaker 1: appreciating my life recently. No, you didn't. I was just
- 57:03Speaker 1: about to say again talking about appreciation anyway, that was
- 57:07Speaker 1: one thing you said it, so I didn't really think
- 57:10Speaker 1: too much of it. But then I was watching this
- 57:14Speaker 1: travel vlogger the other day and he was in Indonesia
- 57:18Speaker 1: hanging out with these kids who were about our age,
- 57:21Speaker 1: twenty twenty two, and they were having fun, and you
- 57:24Speaker 1: were also seeing how they were living, which weren't the
- 57:28Speaker 1: best standards, and it really put mine and our lives
- 57:32Speaker 1: into perspective and made me think. And that night, I
- 57:35Speaker 1: was having a shower put some beats on. I was
- 57:37Speaker 1: just putting some tunes on that make you think, and
- 57:39Speaker 1: it really made me reflect. And I guess I kind
- 57:42Speaker 1: of wanted everyone listening right now to reflect on their lives.
- 57:46Speaker 1: And definitely we all have problems, and I don't want
- 57:51Speaker 1: to take away any of those problems. But in reality,
- 57:57Speaker 1: our life we live is really, really, really privileged, and
- 58:01Speaker 1: we get so caught up in going to work, going
- 58:05Speaker 1: to the gym. These phones we hold in our hands
- 58:07Speaker 1: really distract you from the life you're living. How beautiful
- 58:10Speaker 1: it is, Like how problems are, Like we all have
- 58:13Speaker 1: most of us listen listening hopefully in a financial persition
- 58:16Speaker 1: to have a position, to have a roof over our
- 58:18Speaker 1: heads and everything like that, and just made me think,
- 58:21Speaker 1: just like, take a step back from everything you're doing
- 58:23Speaker 1: right now, everyone listening to even you, and just be like,
- 58:25Speaker 1: you know what, Like life's kind of good. Shit, yeah,
- 58:30Speaker 1: like it's not it's not bad. And these kids really
- 58:34Speaker 1: made me think. They were having so much fun just
- 58:36Speaker 1: in real life, and it kind of stripped away what
- 58:39Speaker 1: I value in life right now because we're trying to
- 58:41Speaker 1: make money from the podcast and doing all that, and
- 58:43Speaker 1: they're all really good problems to have, but like taking
- 58:46Speaker 1: away from it, they were just having fun with each
- 58:47Speaker 1: other talk and shit, and I think that they're like locals. Yeah,
- 58:53Speaker 1: they're locals. And I think that sort of made me think.
- 58:56Speaker 1: We always get asked on this podcast like, oh, what's
- 58:58Speaker 1: your podcast about? Which we that question question. It's a
- 59:02Speaker 1: cheap question because like how do you describe a podcast?
- 59:04Speaker 1: But I think I finally have the answer. Okay, right,
- 59:08Speaker 1: so this is what my conclusion. Ok I think I
- 59:11Speaker 1: finally figured it out. I'm honestly so over social media,
- 59:16Speaker 1: constantly pushing the top zero point zero zero one percent,
- 59:20Speaker 1: the most beautiful, the most successful, the most sculpted, people
- 59:24Speaker 1: that aren't real. But this podcast, it's for real people.
- 59:30Speaker 1: And although it hurts me quite a lot because I
- 59:33Speaker 1: think a lot of women might have come here because
- 59:36Speaker 1: men might have hurt them or treated them badly, which
- 59:39Speaker 1: does boil my blood a little bit. But you are
- 59:42Speaker 1: here now, which we are grateful for. But we're building
- 59:45Speaker 1: something slightly different, something that's real, a space that's relatable, grounded,
- 59:50Speaker 1: and actually kind to one another one another where you
- 59:53Speaker 1: can be yourself fully talk some shit, which I think
- 59:56Speaker 1: is really really important because when we get asked that question,
- 59:59Speaker 1: I don't want to say, yeah, we just talk shit,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: but I think that's what life is about, finding people
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: that you can relate to and talk shit about your
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: life because life is just about talking shit. Yeah, and
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: feel seen and supported, because that's what life is about. Fuck,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: that's pretty good, bro. I don't think I can remember
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: it if someone asked me that question. No, I need
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: one sence, Yeah, yeah, I need that summarize chattybut summarize
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: that one sentence. But it really made me think how
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: much I appreciate what we're doing and the baddies that
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: are forming around us, and I hope the environment we
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: are creating is a supportive one where everyone can flourish,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: because I think, really that's what life is about.
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: I needed that, Yeah, definitely I need it. I need
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: like I kick myself all the time, all the time.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: I don't know why. It's interesting. My epiphany was kind
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: of like, as humans, we're always looking for answers, and
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: along our podcast journey we kind of tried to supply
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: the answers. Yeah, but realistically life is just about experiencing, Yeah,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: and the answer come when they come. Like it's a
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: good point, you don't really need to search for them.
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: Shit, Like on that appreciation thing, I've definite I've just
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: been it's just been happening probably really, I think this
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: year it's just been happening a bit where.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know, moment's appreciation, I guess, Yeah, it's
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: a fucking it's like hard to talk about.
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: It's not that I like you find out how to
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: talk about feelings, but just like, I don't know, weird
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: moments of appreciation where you're just like try and snap
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: out of like a shitty mood or something.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's not that fucking bad and it's cliche,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: but like just appreciating the little things in life. Just
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: look around you, Like you probably have a car, Yeah,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: you can probably walk. Yeah, little shit like that, Yeah,
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: you should be appreciative of. But that was my epiphany. No,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: just a good epiphany, just a little one recently from
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: reflecting on our lives. And I hope everyone listening has
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: something you can be appreciative of. Yeah, and if you don't,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: it's coming. It always comes.
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, guys, new concept is making it to
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: another week.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: We're gonna just like read the.
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: Comments from YouTube and Spotify and reply to them in person.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna go first. Yeah. Please.
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: You guys are so real for giving that girl from
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: Dilemma one one point one a wake up call.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: Omg, oh, we had one like the dylema we had
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: last week where she was no, no, no, yeah, I
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: do the time code. No, it wasn't one point one.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: I do the timecode so one. I thought it was
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: one where the girl was the other woman for the
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: forty year old because we gave her awake. I'm cool too, dilemma.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: One was the Facebook baddie dilemma. One point one was
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: the explanation of the Facebook baddy dilemma. Two was the
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: old person. Okay, one point one, I fucking do the time,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: so but wake up call about the about how your
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: boyfriend's are fucking douche Yes, slay, thank you glad we
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: could help, Thank you. Andrea Santos. Alright, I have the
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Spotify comments. Ella Hartis said two times in one day
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: at fifteen to twenty minutes, is rookie numbers? Jake hahha,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: whoa like that? Oh take that? Whoa? Alright? Mad ruder
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: ell laugh fucking now, I.
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: Got low test. That's why. Well I wasn't expecting my
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: comment to be read out. Oh Chloe McGrory had a
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: comment read out last week. I always come in on
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: these videos. They probably look like a stalker at this point.
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: Great relatable episode, guys, Give it up, Chloe, you're back again.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Pick it up two weeks in a row, all right,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Hannah Appleton, freezing cold meat is super normal. I do
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: it all the time. Ah fucking oath, I commented, crazy,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: So no freezing cooked meat is normal. There's another one
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: on that. Another freezing cooked me. Yeah is normal. Yeah,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: what's uping you were judging me and freezing my cooked meat?
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: It's normal. I'm not a judgmental person except for you.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: You are a fucking judgment exactly. You don't know off
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: this podcast, Oddie is the judges person you've ever met. Yeah,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: well fuck you. From Jacqueline Underscore twenty four. This episode
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: was incredible. Thank you, one of my absolute favorites recently.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: The dilemmas were so juicy and I was dying with
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: laughter at men will literally segment. I look forward to
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: new episodes each week. I hope you both have a
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: great day. Oh, thank you very much, Jacqueline appreciate that.
