- 0:00But about Bow Bangor management fantasy hockey podcast.
- 0:03Whoa. Wow.
- 0:04Wow, wow. How did you do that?
- 0:09Are you there? That was my best jacking
- 0:13impression. It was phenomenal.
- 0:15It was phenomenal. Thank you.
- 0:16But the welcoming everybody to Bangor Management, the Fantasy
- 0:20Hockey Podcast with Kevin and Josh Jake is still in Seoul,
- 0:24South Korea attending somebody's wedding.
- 0:26Soul searching he's. Whoa man, you're just on one.
- 0:31I know. But yes, second episode without
- 0:34Jakey and I feel like I'm at home so.
- 0:40These roads are getting intense. I love you, but this, this is my
- 0:46favorite episode to record every week because Bilo sell high.
- 0:50This is this is the bread and butter for the Manger management
- 0:53team because listen, we're always trying to make trades.
- 0:55We know you guys are always trying to make trades.
- 0:57So this is just a lovely time and we're going to get into it.
- 1:00We're going to talk about some great targets this upcoming
- 1:02week. I'm looking forward to getting
- 1:05to it. Yeah, I mean, if I had to rank
- 1:08my top two favorite things about fantasy hockey, number one has
- 1:12to be trades #2 would probably be the draft.
- 1:15I know that's the thing like. Number one tree it's #2 winning.
- 1:22Now winning is just so ingrained and we already.
- 1:24I don't even have to count. It I'll see you when you're the
- 1:27back-to-back to back champ. There's only you get
- 1:29desensitized to it. Yeah, honestly, actually, that's
- 1:33not true. I love it every time.
- 1:34Yeah. Especially cause it's always
- 1:35against like you or Jake, which makes it so much sweeter.
- 1:37Yeah. We could move over that, but
- 1:39it's like, yeah, if you're listening to this and you're not
- 1:43following the podcast, please do.
- 1:45That's the biggest thing you can do to help us out.
- 1:46And we're just trying to get the community out here.
- 1:48So if you listening to this on Spotify, you.
- 1:49Know as a holiday gift to us, why don't you follow the podcast
- 1:53you know, that would be a it's a giving time of the, you know,
- 1:55the giving season and all that fun jazz and.
- 1:59Spotify reached out to me and they were like guys, 70% of the
- 2:02people that are listening to this don't actually follow your
- 2:04podcast. So maybe ask them away.
- 2:06So then I'm just, I'm just following instructions here.
- 2:08I'm just like, alright guys relaying the message.
- 2:09Follow the podcast. If you're an Apple, follow the

- 2:30description of wherever you're listening or watching this.
- 2:32So click those links, join the Discord community.
- 2:35Honestly, it's popping off guys. It's actually nice.
- 2:38I wish I could just quit my job and just answer you guys
- 2:40questions all day. That's honestly, that's really
- 2:42what I want to do for the rest of my life.
- 2:43Go. That's if we keep getting
- 2:46followers right and boat keeps going up and boat turns into
- 2:49rocket ship, right, this could become our job and we could just
- 2:54be there, you know, answering everyone's questions and it's
- 2:56it's so fun. And so so the follow just you
- 2:59know, would help us help you as we left to say.
- 3:01One of one of the the biggest and, and then we'll get into the
- 3:04buy low, sell high. But one of the biggest things
- 3:06that I didn't know how much it would affect me starting like a
- 3:09podcast and it's we're almost at, it's almost a year and a
- 3:12half at this point, right? Which it feels way longer.
- 3:15And we get people in the community being like, oh, how
- 3:17long have you been doing this? And they're shocked when it's
- 3:19been like just over a year. So.
- 3:20Yeah, it's crazy. I did not believe how
- 3:23vicariously I would be living through like everybody's on
- 3:26there. Yeah, I remember helping people
- 3:28through the draft. I remember checking, I'm
- 3:30checking in with them. Like guys, how are you doing in
- 3:32your like? Do you still have this guy lost
- 3:34her like and people that we helped through the draft are now
- 3:37like 7 and oh, in their matchups, or I say 7 because one
- 3:41guy drafted like after after the already started.
- 3:44So, but I remember helping people like their team is so
- 3:48stacked, the commissioners changing rules because yeah,
- 3:51that was crazy. Draft was so sick and didn't
- 3:53realize how overpowered the team was going to be.
- 3:55And honestly, it's like really rewarding for for us to just be
- 3:58like, yeah, we help these guys build their teams.
- 4:00The trades too, right, like the like you see people pull off
- 4:03trades and I'm like, I wish I could pull that off.
- 4:05You know, no one in our league likes to trade, but like, it's
- 4:07just unbelievable what people are pulling off with the, you
- 4:10know, not to pat ourselves on the back too much, but it is
- 4:12with our advice, you know, so, so yes, it's great.
- 4:14We love it. It's a lot of interacting with
- 4:16you guys. So join in there and follow us
- 4:18and all that fun stuff. And let's get into our bullsh as
- 4:21we like to to. Call it bullshit.
- 4:22The bar low, sell high BLH. Yeah, this is let's go over a
- 4:27two week update. So these were by laws that we
- 4:29recommended two weeks ago. So let's see how they're doing.
- 4:32Yeah, Where are they now? All right, we've got buy lows
- 4:36from 2 weeks ago. Firstly, we had Austin Matthews.
- 4:39Since then, six games played, four goals, two assist, 6
- 4:42points. Finally a power play point.
- 4:44He's shooting unreal. He's blocking his face off,
- 4:47winning. He's on.
- 4:48My in seeing them out. Shots I'm very, very hyped about
- 4:52Matthews. I think he still only has
- 4:54upwards to go that power play is gonna figure out at some point
- 4:56they're not gonna keep being 31st in the league.
- 4:58And and yeah, it's just unreal. I think you could still buy low
- 5:03on him. Honestly, he's like point per
- 5:05game over the past two weeks stretch, but he should be well
- 5:07over a point per game. So I think the window is closing
- 5:10for sure, but but it's still a potential one.
- 5:12And this is like here's the top five traffic in most drafts.
- 5:15So if you have the chance to get a guy like that, you got to take
- 5:18it. Harsh literally took his own
- 5:20advice and bought Matthews a little almost two weeks ago.
- 5:23I think so. Yeah, literally right.
- 5:24When we released the episode, I was like, you know what?
- 5:26This is a good point, actually. I'm gonna go do that.
- 5:28And then I did. So great to do that.
- 5:32I think the window is kind of closing right now since he's
- 5:34turning up, but whenever a guy like that is available, you
- 5:37gotta pounce on it. Yeah, then we had Adrian Kempe.
- 5:41Since then, six games played, three goals, 4 assists, 7
- 5:43points. I think we could comfortably say
- 5:45that by low window has closed. There's one really poorly 2
- 5:48weeks ago. I don't know if you remember,
- 5:49but but yeah, that was a great 1.
- 5:51So I hope people pulled the trigger.
- 5:52And then we had Philip Forsberg, one of the Jake's controversial
- 5:55ones. Yes.
- 5:56And since then, six games played, two goals, two assist, 4
- 5:59points. Points wise, I still think he's
- 6:01a Bilo and grab him. Yeah, he got worse.
- 6:05So he's still definitely a Bilo in that sense.
- 6:07Back cats are still back chatting.
- 6:09But but yeah, I mean, the points aspect of it, he definitely
- 6:12could still be a bio. And then our cell highs, we had
- 6:16Brandon Hagel. Since then, seven games, five
- 6:18goals, one assist, 6 points. You look at that, you're like,
- 6:20hey, that's still solid. Like, I don't know if you
- 6:22remember 2 weeks ago Brandon Hagel was averaging 1.4 points
- 6:24per game. Yeah, and like .25 power play
- 6:26points. I guarantee you that he's not
- 6:28going anywhere near that. So I also hope people are able
- 6:30to sell. All those points are goals, so
- 6:33that's not sustainable when you get 6 points and five of them
- 6:36are goals. It's just being like, alright,
- 6:38if he doesn't score two or three of those shots, you know he's
- 6:41production cut in half. So yeah, I still like Brandon
- 6:44Hagel's sell high and he's one of the best guys that I love
- 6:46packaging to tier up because he doesn't have the power play 1
- 6:49exposure either, right? So you're selling an asset that
- 6:51is over performing, that doesn't have the deployment to an asset
- 6:54that is probably even better, that has a deployment that will
- 6:57have more consistency throughout the season.
- 6:59So. Yeah, absolutely.
- 7:00Then we had Jeremy Swamin. Since then, four games played,
- 7:03three wins, 2.9, two goals against, average .826 save
- 7:06percentage of his. So that's definitely, yeah, he's
- 7:09definitely dropped again. Two weeks ago he was playing out
- 7:11of his mind. I will say, I think at this
- 7:13point we kind of have to adjust our expectation of the Bruins.
- 7:15I think they're better than we expected, which is just crazy.
- 7:18I don't know how they keep doing this, like retooling on the fly
- 7:20and just staying good. The statement still a really
- 7:23good goalie so I still like him. I would be happy to have him on
- 7:26my team but I hope you sold high because what he was doing 2
- 7:28weeks ago was just unsustainable.
- 7:30Yeah, just so people know, like 2 weeks ago he was at 2.09 goals
- 7:34against average. He was getting like 31 saves a
- 7:36game and his save percentage was 936 so.
- 7:39That's. Those were unsustainable stats
- 7:41and they have not been sustained.
- 7:43So there you go. Yeah, and then lastly we have
- 7:47Rasmus Anderson since then, six games played, two goals to
- 7:49assist, 4 points. Again, if people remember 2
- 7:52weeks ago he was over point per game.
- 7:54He was the talk of the town. Every game was a three-point
- 7:56game for him. It was so obviously
- 7:57unsustainable and I really hope people sold high on him when
- 8:00they could. But let's dive into our week
- 8:031111 by Lowe's. So I will start with mine.
- 8:08I've got this kind of ties into my two weeks ago by low, but
- 8:11I've got William Nylander, Willie Stiles of the Toronto
- 8:14Maple Leafs. I just had to include him
- 8:17because it's honestly horrendous what he's been doing lately and
- 8:20it's crazy. Over the past month, he's
- 8:22averaging .83 points per game, 17 power play points, 1.9 shots
- 8:26on goal versus season average of 1.31 points per game, .23 power
- 8:30play points, 2.15 shots. So first of all, his points have
- 8:35been awful, but another big thing, and it's probably been
- 8:37awful, that whole team has a terrible power play.
- 8:39But a big thing is the shots, right?
- 8:41In three out of five of his past games he's posted straight zeros
- 8:45other than one shot on goal in one of them straight zeros from
- 8:48your possibly number one pick or early 2nd pick.
- 8:52That's crazy. He should not be doing anywhere
- 8:54near straight zeros. He was demoted to line 3.
- 8:56The coaches made negative comments about him and
- 8:58everything just seems terrible for Willie these days.
- 9:01Not only his points terrible, but he seems to have stopped
- 9:03shooting. As I mentioned, Toronto is
- 9:04currently ranked 31st in the league on the power play.
- 9:07Last year they were ranked 9th. I know, I know there's the big
- 9:10loss of Marner. That's obviously like everyone's
- 9:12like see it clearly, you know, whatever.
- 9:13Fact is, there's way too much talent on this power play 1 even
- 9:16without Marner to not at least be an average power play.
- 9:19Like they should at least be 20th.
- 9:20I think that's not the craziest thing to say.
- 9:22Average yeah. And Matthews was also injured
- 9:26for a large part of this slump and he's starting to wake up,
- 9:27which will definitely help Nylander as well.
- 9:29Nylander is a late 1st slash, early second round pick and in
- 9:32most leagues and should easily finish the season over point per
- 9:35game and three shots on goal the game.
- 9:36It's rare to get a chance to buy a player of this caliber for so
- 9:39cheap, so now is a great time to pounce some targets.
- 9:41I put Morgan Geekie, Mark Stone, Brandon Hagel.
- 9:45Yep I mean everything you said. I love Delander.
- 9:48I remember it feels like a month ago he was a sell high because
- 9:51he was the least talked about 1.5 points per game player and
- 9:55now it feels like he's completely flipped the flip the
- 9:57coin and become the worst player.
- 9:59Yeah but no. But honestly when he was a buy
- 10:02low recommendation for me and then he put up a games with
- 10:05straight zeros after that we say straight zeros.
- 10:08Like we play in the category league has like 10 out of 10
- 10:10forward categories and he had straight zeros guys.
- 10:13For three of his last five games other than one shot.
- 10:17It's it's honestly ridiculous. And this just goes to show that
- 10:20like, first of all, he's better than this.
- 10:22This is not in the range of outcomes for him on a
- 10:24sustainable basis. It's just that right now
- 10:26Toronto, I feel like they're they're battling stuff like
- 10:29they're not always good. They're goalie situations, kind
- 10:32of like a rotating door right now with injuries.
- 10:34And the coach and Nylander do not seem to be like the
- 10:38personalities that match the most, right?
- 10:40So, yeah, I don't know how much of that plays into effect here,
- 10:43but I I just don't do not believe that this is sustainable
- 10:46for William Meander with, you know, the sample size that we
- 10:49have on his, his value, like he's just so good and he's so
- 10:53bad right now. So all your targets, I feel like
- 10:56are very attainable. I think Morgan Geekie, you like
- 10:59you if you can do that one for one that's like a fleece guys.
- 11:01Like we in the Discord, we're always talking about guys and
- 11:04they're asking me like, oh, do I win this trade?
- 11:06And usually it's like this is a fleece.
- 11:08So I think there's a fleece, if you could do Brandon Hagel one
- 11:11for one, that's also a fleece, in my opinion, you might have to
- 11:15attack on little extra there and Mark Stone as well.
- 11:19I feel like these are just all really, really attainable trade
- 11:24targets. And if you have to add a little
- 11:25package, I don't hate that either.
- 11:27So. Yeah, alright, Kevin, who do you
- 11:30got for your Bilo this? Week Alright, my bi lo is a guy
- 11:34that I feel like people people don't necessarily know he's a
- 11:37billow right now because he his name is always up there when
- 11:41we're talking about fantasy defensemen and I'm talking about
- 11:44Josh Morris of the Winnipeg Jets.
- 11:46Now you might be like, wait, Josh Morrissey like how bad is
- 11:49he actually been? Because it just feels like last
- 11:51week he was on a heater and averaging like 2 points per game
- 11:54it felt like. So if you look at the numbers
- 11:58over the last two weeks, he has zero power, 2 points and he's
- 12:01already less than .5 points per game.
- 12:04He's at .43, no power play points.
- 12:07And this is a Winnipeg team that has historically been by
- 12:10historic team in last year. They were the burst, they were
- 12:12the first power play unit in the league.
- 12:16He's over the last month, he's shooting at 1.5 shots a game,
- 12:19which is bad. He's just not hitting.
- 12:22He's just not hitting the categories for you.
- 12:24He's not hitting the power plate and his points are lower than
- 12:26they should be. And I think a lot has to do with
- 12:30the team is struggling right now.
- 12:31They don't have halibut yet. I think that overall affects the
- 12:34the confidence of the team. But Hellebuyck, he's skating
- 12:38again, he's around the corner. It seems like Winnipeg is
- 12:41figuring stuff out there, moving lines around because they
- 12:44haven't really been succeeding. But I think Josh Morrissey is a
- 12:47way better defenseman than this. I can expect him to finish the
- 12:50season at like .85 point, 9 points per game.
- 12:53And for defenseman that's exceptional.
- 12:55Like it stretches throughout the season.
- 12:57He's going to be top five fantasy defensemen and right now
- 13:00I feel like he's seriously attainable.
- 13:02If specifically the manager is lower in the standings in your
- 13:07league, like I always like saying like the best way to find
- 13:11trade compliments for your team are Scroll down to the worst
- 13:13teams in the league, look at who are the best players on their
- 13:16team and look who's underperforming.
- 13:18And if Josh Morrissey is on one of those teams, I'm really
- 13:20trying to pounce on his opportunity because you can flip
- 13:24a lot of mid average defensemen for Josh Morrissey, who has the
- 13:28upside of being a top five defenseman rest of season.
- 13:31So if I'm looking at the targets, I think Shane
- 13:34Gostisbehere right now, like he's still performing in the
- 13:37points. I feel like nobody's talking
- 13:39about it because it's shine gospel were all like, oh, that
- 13:41that can't last. It's just shame you always does
- 13:43this. But listen, it's lasting right
- 13:46now and at a certain point we'll have to give him more credit
- 13:49than his reputation. I feel like, because you can't
- 13:52keep getting away with this and not getting credit for it.
- 13:55But still he doesn't have the category coverage.
- 13:57And I'm not saying Josh Morrissey is a category coverage
- 13:59God, but he's on a on a good team, a better power play, which
- 14:03is the main thing here. And I think you can do ghosts
- 14:06for Morrissey. Some links, probably one for one
- 14:09if the the Morsi managers very desperate, but even in a
- 14:12package, I'm counting on that. I think Mackenzie Weegar slowly
- 14:16building up his his reputation a little bit.
- 14:19The bangers are still there. So if you're in a league that
- 14:21you know, I feel like McKenzie is a great guy to trade when
- 14:24you're in points leagues because he has the reputation that he
- 14:28has for bangers, but in points. So he has the name value
- 14:31associated to him, but he's not as good in points leagues.
- 14:33So if you can flip a weaker for a Morrissey and the reason why
- 14:36I'm suggesting weaker because I don't think this deal gets done
- 14:39realistically, but I wanted to put the name there because in
- 14:41the discord I'm getting a lot of things being like this guy wants
- 14:44my Uighur. He's trying to buy my Uighur.
- 14:46What's fair value in return? And they end up getting better
- 14:48packages. And realistically I would I
- 14:50would ever accept. So I know his value to like the
- 14:53public eye or the market is higher than what I think is
- 14:55actual value is. And when that's the case, you
- 14:58try to make a move like this. Darren Radish Victor Hedman is
- 15:01out for until the Olympics February radishes the power play
- 15:05one quarterback for Tampa team that he's been one of the best
- 15:08waiver pickups right now. If you will get to radish.
- 15:11If you can flip him for Josh Morrissey, that's just like
- 15:15great business. And the other name I have is
- 15:17Sergachev. I think Utah is kind of a little
- 15:20bit all over the place, the inconsistencies there.
- 15:21Circuit Chip is a great defenseman in his own right and
- 15:24I do like him for fantasy. But in the back of my mind, I'm
- 15:26still trying to upgrade our tier out when I can because they also
- 15:30had two games in the Fantasy Championship.
- 15:32So whenever I can make the move to get out of that position, I'm
- 15:35trying to do it. And I think for Josh Morsey
- 15:37right now, honestly, it might be a very viable one for one.
- 15:40Yeah, I mean, I love everything you're saying.
- 15:43I think the mental aspect of having Hella buck out is such a
- 15:46big yeah kind of burden on this team.
- 15:49Conry is not that guy and clear the team's been struggling a
- 15:52ton. So it's not just Morrissey.
- 15:54I love one of the team is struggling and not just one
- 15:56player. Makes me feel a lot more
- 15:57confident in the bounce back. And yes, I think about coming
- 15:59back is gonna be huge for them. In terms of your targets, love
- 16:01all of them. I think Ghosts, Sergachev,
- 16:04Radish, honestly, like those might get done for one.
- 16:06And the year 1 it's I think the logic you had is perfect.
- 16:09You know, like if his value is higher out there than what it
- 16:12should be, then you try it. I think that one's gonna have to
- 16:14be a package to get done, but I would love to do that as well.
- 16:17So I think I agree with everything.
- 16:18If you could do like a wigger plus a a small plus, you get a
- 16:22Morrissey and then you just pick up like a Ben Sharot or a
- 16:25radical Gus that we mentioned on our stream episode yesterday,
- 16:29then you do that. So I think that's a.
- 16:31Great opportunity. All right, Kevin, we're doing a
- 16:35bonus choice. We're not attributing this one
- 16:37to key because he didn't choose it, but we each put a bonus
- 16:40choice for Bilo and still get the full number of names even if
- 16:44you don't have the full number of hosts.
- 16:45Exactly, so quote UN quote bonus one could have been Jackie if he
- 16:50was here, but he didn't pick it. So we we definitely wanted to
- 16:54highlight this player because he I feel like people are also not
- 16:58talking about how bad he has been.
- 16:59Yeah, it's crazy. Similar to Josh's biopic, I'm
- 17:03going with John Tavares of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
- 17:06Now listen, we're Habs fans, we don't like the Leafs.
- 17:09So then them sucking is is pretty good for us.
- 17:12But I know we have some Leaf fans in the Discord, so I don't
- 17:13want to go too hard on them. Was the John Tavares over the
- 17:18last two weeks has two points DOS crazy duet.
- 17:22I think that's two in like Italian or something.
- 17:26But this guy is a point game player.
- 17:27He's a point game last season. He's a point per game this
- 17:30season on average. But over the last two weeks he's
- 17:32.332 points. That's really bad.
- 17:36The power play last season was that he was averaging .27 power
- 17:40play points last season. This season is at .13.
- 17:42Last two weeks, no power play points.
- 17:44Josh already highlighted how bad the power play has been for this
- 17:46Toronto. It's not going to be this bad
- 17:48for every guys. They're going to regress back to
- 17:50at least average. Last season they were above
- 17:53average. This season they're abysmal.
- 17:55I think they get to average and already that would be a double,
- 18:00double boost of what he's currently doing this season.
- 18:02He's one of the only centres that is going to hit double
- 18:05digit faceoff win. So if you plan to leave like
- 18:06that, he's very valuable. He shoots also, he doesn't get
- 18:10credit for his shots. He's like a three shot, three
- 18:12shot a game centre, like 2.82.77, like around that range
- 18:16and he's still doing that. The last week has been bad, but
- 18:20that's why you have the opportunity to buy.
- 18:22If somebody opens a John Tavares game log, they see a lot of
- 18:24zeros right now. And his minutes have also been
- 18:27lower than before. Like he used to be always
- 18:30playing 20 minutes a night. Now he'll have some game.
- 18:32He's playing 1716 minutes. I'm not worried about this long
- 18:35term. I still think it's a phenomenal
- 18:36asset. He's he's cemented on that power
- 18:40play, one which I know will never move.
- 18:42I think all the, all the systems are in place for John Tavares to
- 18:46be as successful, you know, pure sea for your fantasy team.
- 18:50And there's a lot of guys I think you can trade for John
- 18:52Tavares and some of the names I'm going to highlight right now
- 18:55have been really hot. If you can move a Nazem Kadri
- 19:00for John Tavares. I feel like right now with how
- 19:02hot Kadri has been, that could be done for one, Dylan Cousins
- 19:06right now, like the power play for Ottawa, it feels like it
- 19:08comes in chunks. It's either getting zeros or
- 19:10they scored like 5 power play goals in one game.
- 19:12And you can take advantage of that with Dylan Cousins and
- 19:13trade them for John Tavares. Josh Norris No, I mentioned this
- 19:17on the waiver episode yesterday, but if you have Josh N on your
- 19:20team, like, yeah, he's he's dealing with a, with a sickness,
- 19:23with an illness. So he's not actually on the ice,
- 19:25but when he's on the ice, he's averaging a power play point per
- 19:27game. So if you can use that in your
- 19:29sales pitch and flip them for John Tavares maybe in a package,
- 19:32I think that's great. And Sam Bennett, I think Florida
- 19:35right now, a few of their guys are extremely exceeding
- 19:39expectations and Bennett is one of those guys.
- 19:42He's averaging 1.24 points per game as of late.
- 19:45That's a lot more than John Tavares.
- 19:47So if you can make a swap like that, even in a package, I'm all
- 19:51for it. Guys.
- 19:51The only downside for Taurus is his playoff schedule is not
- 19:54necessarily the best and at least 21 to 23, he's got a 333.
- 19:57So you're not getting any two game weeks, but you're not
- 20:00exposed to any of those four-game weeks without the
- 20:01downside to him. But when you're making an
- 20:03upgrade from a tier of player like this to John Tavares, it's
- 20:06always worth it. Yeah, and I will say in terms of
- 20:08playoff schedule for the Leafs, they do have some off nights, so
- 20:11that counteracts a bit the 333. So just throwing that out there.
- 20:14But yeah, no, I love everything you said here.
- 20:17Also didn't mention that to Paris.
- 20:18Also hits he can average like one hit a game like that.
- 20:20It's not nothing rounds out, it's not nothing.
- 20:22It definitely it's definitely big, especially if you're
- 20:24training like cousins who's like a hits machine, right.
- 20:26You don't necessarily want to get a guy back who doesn't hit
- 20:28at all, but the virus does hit even if it's not the same.
- 20:30So anyways, love everything you said.
- 20:31Love all the targets. The only one I don't think gets
- 20:34done as Norris, mainly because of the health, but it's on a
- 20:37string of like a week of like being healthy and keeps putting
- 20:41these crazy numbers. It's definitely doable.
- 20:43So I love everything you're going with here, but let's dive
- 20:45into our cell highs for the week.
- 20:47You mentioned guys on Florida who are overperforming, so I
- 20:51will be mentioning myself high the week harder for Hagee's over
- 20:54the past month for he's averaging 1.23 points per game,
- 20:57.23 power play points, 2.77 shots and a hit.
- 21:00On the season he's at .79 points per game and last year he was at
- 21:03.65 points per game. Time and time again, the Florida
- 21:07Panthers have shown never Hagey is not someone they want on
- 21:09power play one. He's clearly a very skilled
- 21:11player and I don't know why they hate him, but it's just a fact.
- 21:14I don't know if it's the coach, I know it's management.
- 21:15I don't know what it is for. He's not that guy.
- 21:17And this is the kind of intangible stuff that is so
- 21:20valuable to know going into a season, going into a draft.
- 21:23But there's no like stats for that, right?
- 21:25No, like hated by management slash coach stat.
- 21:28But that's so valuable to know. There should be absolutely like
- 21:31that's a, you know, that's definitely things to keep in
- 21:33mind when I'm drafting, right is guys that I'm like, this guy has
- 21:35the skill and should be powerful.
- 21:37It was Nick Euler's for the longest time, right on Winnipeg,
- 21:40you know, like that type of thing.
- 21:41It's just like these guys who have the skill power play one,
- 21:43but they refuse to put them there.
- 21:44Anyways. He's been on power play one he's
- 21:46been producing, but fact is, ketchup should be back within a
- 21:48few weeks and veggie is absolutely the odd man out on
- 21:51power play when he returns. I'll tell you who else is on
- 21:52that power play right now. Seth once he's not gonna get
- 21:55bumped. You got Reinhart, not gonna get
- 21:57bumped, you got Marshawn, not gonna get bumped with what he's
- 21:59doing. Um, you've got Bennett, it's
- 22:01Bennett could get banned for Lundell, but they need someone
- 22:02who's gonna win the face off. So it's gonna be one of those
- 22:04two. And then you've got for Haiti
- 22:06and contracts absolutely going on power play one for he's the
- 22:08odd man out. So that's a huge 1 and I expect
- 22:11him to end the season around .75 points per game and he's over
- 22:14performing this so much that you have to try and sell them if you
- 22:17can. So honestly I also wouldn't be
- 22:19surprised if he gets traded like they just really do not.
- 22:22Like I don't know why. Another big piece.
- 22:24Yeah, exactly. Really.
- 22:25I don't know why I can't explain it, but I know it's a fact.
- 22:27Like there's a reason why I have 0 interest in Veggie every
- 22:30single year even though he's such a good player.
- 22:32Anyway, some targets I'm looking at Philip Forsberg, Tim Stutzel,
- 22:36Clayton Keller, Jesper Bratt, John Tavares.
- 22:38I think that with the hover Aggies playing, most of these
- 22:41guys are within reach and I would prefer all these guys over
- 22:44for Higgy. Yep, love all these targets.
- 22:46I think my favorite one that you're able to do that feels
- 22:48like the the best right now are Brat Antivirus.
- 22:51People don't want Brand on their team, but I'm still highlighting
- 22:54him as a opportunity. Like all of New Jersey right now
- 22:57is really bad guys and they just keep dropping players like
- 23:00flies. At certain point it's going to
- 23:02affect your production and it is affecting brass production right
- 23:05now. But that's why still such a good
- 23:06buy buy little target. And yeah, Verhagen, everything
- 23:10you said is right on the you hit the nail on the head.
- 23:13I think he's a good player in his own right and if the team
- 23:16doesn't hate him, he could have some decent value.
- 23:19But that's not the situation here.
- 23:20Like they tried to trade him last year.
- 23:22They didn't happen. I wouldn't be surprised if it's
- 23:24this year to make room for another centre like Vulcan or
- 23:27Acadia or something. Yeah, Florida feels like they're
- 23:29always in the mix for. So love this pic.
- 23:32And this is one of those things that I want to get out while I
- 23:34can. It's very rare that you're gonna
- 23:36have a guy like this that you can that he's averaging over one
- 23:39point per game for a significant amount of time that you can use
- 23:42that to your advantage. And he does have people know
- 23:45where he has a name like. And so he has a little bit of
- 23:48name even though like the team hates him.
- 23:50And I feel like the repetition isn't necessarily stuck to him
- 23:52just yet, so. This is a very similar to your
- 23:55John Carlson one from I don't know, it was last week or two
- 23:57weeks ago. But like sometimes we recommend
- 23:59a guys sell high because we just think he's going to be less good
- 24:01than he's been. But he still someone we're happy
- 24:02to have on our roster season and sometimes recommended guys sell
- 24:05high and it's like get him off your team.
- 24:07You can get a lot of value for him and he's not gonna be happy
- 24:09to have him rest this season. This is one of those cases.
- 24:12So this is a call to action. If you have for Hagey, sell him
- 24:15high. And even like Josh listened,
- 24:18some amazing targets like this would all be like you're hitting
- 24:21the potential of the trade that you can make happen.
- 24:24But I'd even aim lower than some of these guys to like, we're
- 24:28saying get off your raws or like, get him off your roster.
- 24:31I'm not saying he's gonna be a drop in next week, but he's not
- 24:34gonna be nearly as good as this. And you need to really take
- 24:37advantage of this opportunity. And listen, we're not gonna name
- 24:40every player in the league, but if you're in the Discord and you
- 24:43have Verheye, like, shoot us a message because we'll help you
- 24:45find some trade partners. Absolutely.
- 24:48All right, Kevin, who you got? All right, I mean, this guy, I
- 24:51feel like we've already talked about him.
- 24:53His name has slipped in a little bit this episode, but I'm
- 24:57talking about the centre for one of the best teams in the league,
- 25:01Nazem Kadri of the Calgary Flames.
- 25:04That was sarcasm. About the team, not about him,
- 25:07though, yeah. He is a centre, however.
- 25:11But guess how many? Guess how many points a Nazim
- 25:14Kadri has over the last month? OK, I know he's overplayed per
- 25:18game. Yeah, which is nuts.
- 25:19He's at 17 points over the last month which is just insane.
- 25:22That's 1.21 pointed. Exactly from when I tried to
- 25:25trade for him You. Said you were treated happen for
- 25:29Nazim Kadri when he was given like straight zeros for like 2
- 25:32weeks and then he the trade doesn't happen and then charge
- 25:35just goes on this tear which was literally like a month.
- 25:37Ago it's actually crazy. I'm so good at like Bilos allies
- 25:40like that. That was a crazy you, even you
- 25:41Kevin, you were like I don't know if I would touch him.
- 25:43You were like, I think you. Might be one of the worst teams
- 25:45in the league, right? Yeah.
- 25:46And I was like, no, I feel like this could be a good
- 25:48opportunity. And then the other guy backed
- 25:50out, even though it was such an overpay on Wi-Fi at the time.
- 25:52But anyways, yeah, keep going. So so Kadri has over the last
- 25:56month is at 1.21 points per game.
- 25:58And do you know off the top of your head where the Calgary
- 26:01Power play is ranked? It's going to be 32nd, right?
- 26:04It's it's like bottom 3, it's either 30 or 31st or 32nd and
- 26:08he's been averaging. .430 first because that's Toronto.
- 26:12So yeah, there you go. So but he is one of the worst
- 26:15power plays in the league. I'm pretty sure it's 30th and
- 26:18he's offering .43 power play points over the last.
- 26:21Crazy. So how is somebody on the third
- 26:24worst PowerPoint in the league averaging McKinnon level power
- 26:26play numbers? This is not sustainable, guys.
- 26:29The only thing that's nice about Kanji, though, is like he's good
- 26:32at shooting like he's a high volume currency shooter because
- 26:35he's playing on a team that doesn't have guys that take
- 26:38shots. It's like Coronado and friends.
- 26:40So it's it's it's Coronado is covered was the only guys that
- 26:43take shots on this roster. His points are so high right
- 26:47now. It feels like you look at this
- 26:48game and it's only multi point games.
- 26:50So this is this is glaring red alert, but people like Kadri.
- 26:55So I'm also saying he has the reputation associated to him
- 26:58that the production is there and the production is like it's a
- 27:01month. It's not like this last week
- 27:03looking his game log, it's for a month he's been producing.
- 27:06He has the name value. You could even say like, oh,
- 27:08he'll get traded, like trade talks, whatever, blah, blah,
- 27:11blah. If he gets traded, he's getting
- 27:12worse than this, in my opinion. Like there's a high chance that
- 27:15he doesn't end up on, you know, power play one wherever he goes.
- 27:19And I don't think he's going to be shooting this much if he gets
- 27:20traded because he's going to be surrounded by players that
- 27:23actually do take shots. So I think there's a lot of a
- 27:26lot of negative regression possibilities for Nazem Kadri,
- 27:29besides the fact that he's already producing at just such
- 27:31an unsustainable rate. I really think that you can aim
- 27:34high with this too. Like we've mentioned, other
- 27:36targets, like the targets are kind of gonna repeat themselves
- 27:39a little bit. But Jesper Bratt, I think in a
- 27:42lot of leagues, that's a one for one trade that you can make
- 27:44happen like that. For those on video, for those on
- 27:47listening and not on video, I just snap my fingers.
- 27:50Brayden Point just came back from injury.
- 27:52He's been the biggest cell high the whole season.
- 27:55Philo. Yes, Bilo, apologies, but if you
- 27:59have brain point, you know what I mean yeah, he just came back
- 28:02from injury. He had a few games that are
- 28:04good. So people are like, alright,
- 28:06he's back. So the window is closing guys,
- 28:08that's closing, so take your opportunity and pounds.
- 28:10That might be if the manager still has a salty taste from the
- 28:14whole season on in his mouth. Maybe you're able to make that.
- 28:16Maybe like finally I get to get out of Brayden Point.
- 28:19Sebastian Aho. I feel like he's slowly.
- 28:20He's not like necessarily a buy low by low, but he's not
- 28:23producing at what he could be doing.
- 28:24And so imagine how I feel is one of the more or disrespected
- 28:27fantasy players because he's always so good, but does have a
- 28:30flashy, flashy name or or presence associated to him.
- 28:33But if you can make that swap, I'm very happy because I think
- 28:36Yahoo gets way more points than the rest of season.
- 28:39And Kempe, we just highlighted him.
- 28:40He was a buy low target a few weeks ago.
- 28:42He's already started to bounce back.
- 28:44But I still feel like with courage production right now,
- 28:46you can make that flip. And I think Kempe has, you know,
- 28:48the category coverage associated with an elite player and the
- 28:51high points threshold. I would love to make any of
- 28:53these moves. Yeah, I love everything you're
- 28:56saying. Toss in to various I know we had
- 28:58mentioned him first and country plus for Nylander, you know,
- 29:02like all our bylaws essential our yeah, all our by laws like
- 29:04Kadri could be a great piece to get them.
- 29:06But fully agree. With all things, you can get a
- 29:07lot of like guys that are producing an average level that
- 29:11were drafted in the second or third round or fourth round in
- 29:13your leagues. Like those are 101 for one
- 29:15attainable targets for Koji right now.
- 29:17And you can get a high level round to or around one player if
- 29:22you're doing Khaji plus, like he has that much e-mail.
- 29:26What I would love doing if you're in a team that's, you
- 29:28know, in a position of power where you're no top three in the
- 29:31league and you're not worried about making the playoffs, like
- 29:33go trade with the Jack Hughes manager.
- 29:34Get Jacques on your roster, get Matthew could Chuck on your
- 29:37roster like this is the perfect guy that you're trading for a
- 29:39team that's bad. Maybe they're bottom of the
- 29:42standings. Their star player is hurt and on
- 29:44IR they need help. Now they can get Nathan cadres
- 29:47producing over a point per game, all these shots and their star
- 29:50player is out for another few weeks.
- 29:51Like they need to win games now. That's the type of trade that
- 29:54I'm really trying to make. You get Jacques or Matthew.
- 29:57That's guys. These guys are like first round
- 29:59picks and mostly it's nuts. Yeah, absolutely.
- 30:02Love it. Alright, let's go quickly to the
- 30:04bonus choice for the cell high this week.
- 30:07And we just keep talking about this guy, but he was never
- 30:11officially a cell high on our episode.
- 30:13So I figured the need to highlight this because it's such
- 30:15a clear one. We've got Darren Radish of the
- 30:18Tampa Bay Lightning. The turnip turnip.
- 30:20Has made it onto another anger management episode.
- 30:23We just can't stop talking about him.
- 30:25Over the past month, he's averaging 1.19 points per game
- 30:28.44 power play points and 2.3 shots on goal.
- 30:31In that time, there are only two healthy D averaging more points
- 30:34per game. That's where reskin Bouchard and
- 30:36there are no healthy delivering more power play points.
- 30:38I stay healthy because Fox has a higher averages, but he hasn't
- 30:41played as many games, so excuse it.
- 30:43Um, but yeah, so this, he's the number one defence in points #3
- 30:46in points over the past month, this guy putting up numbers
- 30:49better than Kyle Mccarter and you most likely picked him up
- 30:51off waivers. Actually not most likely.
- 30:52There's no one who drafted Darren Raddysh.
- 30:54So everyone who has on his team either got him on a trade or he
- 30:57got him off waivers. Most people were worried that
- 30:59Victor had been returning would bump him off properly one and
- 31:01cause him to slow down, but had been returned.
- 31:03Radish kept power play 1 and now Hedman is out again until the
- 31:07Olympics. So all this gives Radish so much
- 31:11more value. Everything points to Radish
- 31:12being one of the best free agent pickups of the year.
- 31:14And although we still like his rest of season outlook, there is
- 31:17zero chance he'll perform anywhere near this level.
- 31:19So now is the time to cash in. His stats would mean you can aim
- 31:23super high with him. He still has that waiver wire
- 31:25sting to him so you may have to add a bit to pull something off
- 31:27but it'll be more than worth it. Some targets I'm looking at Adam
- 31:31Fox, Josh Morrissey, lane Hudson, Roman Yosi.
- 31:34I tried to keep it reasonable. His stats mean you should be
- 31:37able to like target even like a Quinn Hughes.
- 31:38Obviously pre trade, post trade, like the, the hype is too high.
- 31:41Um, but it's like there's just something about a guy who just
- 31:44got picked up off the waiver wire that has that kind of like
- 31:46waiver wire thing to him. So I tried to be more reasonable
- 31:48with my targets. I think all these guys are going
- 31:50to can get, possibly even one for one.
- 31:53I I love this darn radish. Listen, he's like the pickup of
- 31:56the season right now. I mean, we've had multiple
- 31:58pickups of the season, but in terms of defensemen, I feel
- 32:01there's nobody that's been as productive as him with the
- 32:03opportunity, with the opportunity that he's gained
- 32:06this year. And Hedman is out, like you
- 32:08said, for months, months. He's gonna be back in February
- 32:12maybe. And he already had the spot from
- 32:14Hedman before then. So there's no guarantee that
- 32:16hadn't comes back in February and Raja gets bumped off to.
- 32:19I think radish keeps it. He might keep it and you might
- 32:22saying like why are we selling a guy that has a really good
- 32:27opportunity here and is producing at such a high rate?
- 32:29Well, it's because it's producing at such a high rate
- 32:31and it's not sustainable. So I feel like it's hard
- 32:34because, you know, you probably picked them up off waivers.
- 32:36So people don't usually want to trade for a guy that they just
- 32:39picked up off waivers. They feel they're getting
- 32:40swindled. Like you just pick this guy up
- 32:42and you're gonna give him to me. Like what the hell?
- 32:44But I really think that there's an opportunity here and
- 32:47especially for those needy teams that at the bottom of your
- 32:49roster of bottom of your standings, like I said, like
- 32:52they're going to want to guide us producing at this rate.
- 32:54And you need to take advantage of that.
- 32:55And I love the best thing to do with the guy that was on waivers
- 32:58that picked up, that's producing is training for an injured guy.
- 33:00So if you can get Adam Fox, because that guy is not
- 33:02producing for months as well. So if you can get out and talk
- 33:05in a trade war there in radish, that's swindling your, your your
- 33:09opponent and all the other targets you listed.
- 33:11I'm I'm really in on listen, we're not saying Dennis going to
- 33:140. He's gonna be good.
- 33:16He's gonna be solid. He's not going to be this good.
- 33:18And you have to capitalize on him being this good right now.
- 33:21Absolutely. So that wraps up our Bilo sell
- 33:25high for the week. I think this is a great episode.
- 33:27There's so many good names on here and.
- 33:29The one, the one thing we didn't do was we didn't list the goalie
- 33:33for this episode. But listen, we want to pick the
- 33:36best players available when we can because we don't want to
- 33:40force a goalie if there's not a clear goalie.
- 33:43But off the top of your head, are there any goals that you're
- 33:45kind of trying to target? I mean, I think this one kind of
- 33:48closing. No, no, I mean, there's this one
- 33:51windows closing, but the Illibuck by low right now, he's
- 33:54been skating. So I think it's very unlikely
- 33:55that you could pull that off. Bobrovski would have mentioned,
- 33:59but we already mentioned on a previous episode he's still a
- 34:01huge Bilo Vasilevsky. Again, he's coming off IR soon.
- 34:06So I think that that window has that ship has sailed.
- 34:09But yeah, those are kind of the names top of mind.
- 34:13But so there wasn't anyone great.
- 34:14That's why I didn't choose one either in terms of sell high
- 34:16goalies. You're able to sell the pussy.
- 34:20Honestly yeah that would be a great sell high.
- 34:22You could sell them on the fact he got 2 back-to-back starts,
- 34:24he's the starter for Carolina, blah blah blah.
- 34:26Yeah, it's been a deep league for that one.
- 34:28Yeah, exactly. I think.
- 34:30Honestly, here's an idea. What about selling?
- 34:32Let's say you have Tristan Jarry or Stuart Skinner.
- 34:34What about selling high on the hype of the trade?
- 34:37If you don't even wait for a game to, you don't wait for a
- 34:39game to be played, you sell on the mystery of like, look what
- 34:42he could be, you know? So that's definitely an
- 34:44interesting, an interesting way to go about it because people
- 34:46get hyped on trades like this happen on players.
- 34:48So that's off the top of my head.
- 34:50I also like treating high on Walstead.
- 34:52Who knows, he's played less games but he's still very solid.
- 34:55Like nothing else is gonna be bad but his his recent stats are
- 34:59still highly influencing. His ranking sketched out now
- 35:02though because he hasn't played in like 3 games so I think it
- 35:05was just a blip. Like I don't think.
- 35:07About the schedule was and everything but ended up winning.
- 35:10Artist trade value. And this one might be
- 35:12counterintuitive, but I think if you can sell high Mackenzie
- 35:16Blackwood right now. Yeah, I like that A.
- 35:18Lot his stats over the last month.
- 35:20He's a .9 wins, so he's 190% of his games yeah.
- 35:23His goals against average 1.89 his saves 24 his save percentage
- 35:28.931. So listen McKenzie Black was one
- 35:32of the best teams, but which one has been hurt?
- 35:34So he's been playing a lot more games and he's been doing well
- 35:37with them, but I still like tearing up too.
- 35:39If you can get a Igor, if you can get the the Connor
- 35:41Hellebuyck right before he comes back, if you can get Vasilevski.
- 35:44Plus, the thing that I think that I like now is that like,
- 35:47yes, you're getting in the league goalie, but you might be
- 35:49able to get like a slightly worse goalie and a great player
- 35:52or just The Fugees are actually better than him.
- 35:56You might be able to get those two.
- 35:57So I I just like capitalizing on a value when it's when it's
- 36:01inflated. That's what it's all about,
- 36:03baby. Yes, Sir.
