A 23-year-old man, Dimir Thomas, faces nine felony charges—including assault on police—after allegedly driving a car that brought shooters to a tense standoff with officers. The chaos erupted on August 17th when gunfire erupted near a home under investigation for a drive-by shooting; two women were wounded but stable, and one officer returned fire. Thomas was arrested days later and reportedly confessed to helping transport the shooters, though no other suspects have been charged yet.
