  Speaker 2: in my life. God, God is a gentleman, you know.

  Speaker 2: God is an absolute gentleman. He will not come in

  Speaker 2: unless he's invited. He don't just barge into your life.

  Speaker 2: He gives us the power of choice. You know, if

  Speaker 2: you say you got it, I don't need you, he

  Speaker 2: lets you have it. If you say I need you,

  Speaker 2: come see about me.

  Speaker 2: It's just a real simple thing, man. So always say

  Speaker 2: to people this, if you've gotten yourself into something, and

  Speaker 2: That's why I'm so adamant about it, because I've gotten

  Speaker 2: myself in some circumstances and positions in my life. Well,

  Speaker 2: I've been, I've been. I've had some low moments. Man,

  Speaker 2: I've had some moments where I did not know what
• 1:17
  Speaker 2: to do. I didn't know what was next, I didn't
• 1:22
  Speaker 2: know how to go about it. I didn't have no
• 1:24
  Speaker 2: more ideas. I was stuck. I thought a couple of times, well,

  Speaker 2: might not make it past this one. But then if
• 1:36
  Speaker 2: I don't make it past it, what's gonna happen? And
• 1:39
  Speaker 2: then I held on to this little thing that my
• 1:42
  Speaker 2: mother kept talking to me about. She said, sometimes some
• 1:45
  Speaker 2: when you ain't got nothing else in you, just hope,
• 1:49
  Speaker 2: she said, just hope it'll be all right, you know.

  Speaker 2: And what I've learned in my life is that hope
• 1:55
  Speaker 2: is the beginning of faith. Hope is just is their
• 2:00
  Speaker 2: possibility out there for me. I show hope, something happened.

  Speaker 2: See hope is okay, man, Because like I say, for me,
• 2:12
  Speaker 2: the way I've lived my life, hope was the beginning
• 2:15
  Speaker 2: of faith.

  Speaker 3: It was just the idea.

  Speaker 2: It's just the thought that something could change for me,

  Speaker 2: that something could be a little bit different from me,
• 2:24
  Speaker 2: that maybe, man, just maybe for some reason, I could

  Speaker 2: be saved, I could be rescued, things could turn around.

  Speaker 3: It could hit any other direction. Maybe I can quit
• 2:40
  Speaker 3: messing up.

  Speaker 2: Maybe somebody will forgive me, maybe somebody will just say

  Speaker 2: all right. I don't know, but I can't count the

  Speaker 2: times I've been in that position. But then once I
• 2:54
  Speaker 2: hope a little bit, and then I remember also my
• 2:56
  Speaker 2: mother because she was a Sunday school teacher. Me the

  Speaker 2: most valuable lesson I've ever learned in my life. Nothing
• 3:03
  Speaker 2: has been greater in my life than my faith. She
• 3:07
  Speaker 2: taught me to pray. Mama used to say, when it
• 3:10
  Speaker 2: get real, dog for your son, prayer change is things,
• 3:15
  Speaker 2: she said. When you seem like you lost and you
• 3:18
  Speaker 2: can't find your way, stop and pray, she said, because
• 3:23
  Speaker 2: prayer change is things. You know, when you get a
• 3:26
  Speaker 2: point in your life when you've done all you can
• 3:27
  Speaker 2: do and you can't do no more, and you just
• 3:29
  Speaker 2: don't know what to do next, she said, stop, son,
• 3:33
  Speaker 2: pray and combine that prayer with that hope that you got,
• 3:41
  Speaker 2: she said, because that hope is the beginning of faith,
• 3:45
  Speaker 2: she said. If you pray just hoping, she said, to
• 3:49
  Speaker 2: God come through for you. That'll give you confidence that
• 3:52
  Speaker 2: he can do it again. And then after a while
• 3:55
  Speaker 2: you quit hoping, she saying, you start believing, she said,
• 4:00
  Speaker 2: And that's when you're on to something. If you can
• 4:03
  Speaker 2: turn that hope into belief, that hope into Faith's that's
• 4:14
  Speaker 2: the ability to believe in something that you can't see.
• 4:18
  Speaker 2: But the key though the faith is you're believing in
• 4:22
  Speaker 2: something that you can't see. See hoping a little bit
• 4:26
  Speaker 2: different from me. Now, I'm pretty sure. Like I say,
• 4:28
  Speaker 2: oftentimes I tell a lot of people who can explain
• 4:30
  Speaker 2: this thing a lot better than I can to you,
• 4:33
  Speaker 2: hope is just kind of I don't know how to
• 4:35
  Speaker 2: I don't know how to say it. But I'm just
• 4:37
  Speaker 2: telling you.
• 4:38
  Speaker 3: Hope is.
• 4:38
  Speaker 2: You're just hoping it work right. You just have a
• 4:41
  Speaker 2: thought in your mind that you know, Man, whoever you are,
• 4:45
  Speaker 2: or whoever you are, whatever you are to me God,

  Speaker 2: I show hope something change.

  Speaker 3: Hope helps. Man.

  Speaker 2: If you ain't strong enough to have faith, have hope, hope,
• 5:00
  Speaker 2: and then if you pray with some hope and God
• 5:03
  Speaker 2: answers your prayer, then that hope gains a little confidence,
• 5:09
  Speaker 2: and after a while that confidence becomes faith. Now the
• 5:15
  Speaker 2: ain't just hoping, but I'm believing. I'm believing in something
• 5:19
  Speaker 2: that I cannot see. Faith has been the key to
• 5:27
  Speaker 2: my entire existence, even.
• 5:30
  Speaker 3: When I didn't have any.
• 5:33
  Speaker 2: It was faith, as I look back on it, that
• 5:37
  Speaker 2: has gotten me here, and not just faith, but my faith. See,
• 5:45
  Speaker 2: you will only get to where you're going in your
• 5:48
  Speaker 2: life based on your faith. See a lot of people
• 5:55
  Speaker 2: get the word faith confused, like what's your faith? And
• 5:58
  Speaker 2: then they start going down this whole list of all
• 6:00
  Speaker 2: these different religions out here. But really an essence, man,
• 6:05
  Speaker 2: when I talk to people about faith, I'm talking to
• 6:07
  Speaker 2: you about your your belief.

  Speaker 3: How much do you believe in the unseen? See? Faith
• 6:18
  Speaker 3: is the core of all that is happening to me today.

  Speaker 2: It is the faith that I have in my relationship
• 6:27
  Speaker 2: with God that enables me to just oftentimes if I
• 6:33
  Speaker 2: stay on the right course and believe a certain way
• 6:36
  Speaker 2: and act a certain way, his blessings just poor. They
• 6:42
  Speaker 2: just come. And it comes in a lot of little
• 6:45
  Speaker 2: ways too. I've started to notice, See it ain't just
• 6:48
  Speaker 2: a lot of people think blessings is money. Nah, man,
• 6:51
  Speaker 2: that ain't it. It's coverage. It's every time my plane
• 6:55
  Speaker 2: lands safe. It's every time they predict bad weather and
• 7:00
  Speaker 2: now get up in the sky and it don't be
• 7:02
  Speaker 2: no bad weather. You know, this is this is favor.

  Speaker 2: These are blessings that get poured out to me. Somebody
• 7:10
  Speaker 2: call me and offer me something, not money, but an opportunity.

  Speaker 3: See, blessings come a lot of ways.

  Speaker 2: But once you tie in to God, once you tie
• 7:24
  Speaker 2: in and you start doing the best you can do,
• 7:27
  Speaker 2: and you start asking for him to make you a
• 7:30
  Speaker 2: better person, to help shape and mold you into the
• 7:33
  Speaker 2: kind of man or person that he wants you to be.

  Speaker 2: You be amazed what God can do with you, man,
• 7:40
  Speaker 2: if you just invite me in and allow him to
• 7:43
  Speaker 2: be a part of your life. I mean, what you
• 7:45
  Speaker 2: got to lose out there? Come on, why would you
• 7:48
  Speaker 2: not change? Why would you not allow God to be
• 7:51
  Speaker 2: a part of your life. God got some big plans
• 7:54
  Speaker 2: for you. If he didn't, you wouldn't keep waking up.
