- 1 00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:02,720 It's still really a big damage in it! 2 00:00:02,720 --> 00:00:11,720 [Music] 3 00:00:11,720 --> 00:00:12,960 What up, you! 4 00:00:12,960 --> 00:00:17,160 Ooh, welcome everybody! 5 00:00:17,160 --> 00:00:20,520 Welcome to this week's edition of the Storilla Show. 6 00:00:20,520 --> 00:00:24,600 Episode 849 from May 21st, 2026. 7 00:00:24,600 --> 00:00:27,000 Welcome to your AWD or nothing. 8 00:00:27,000 --> 00:00:34,720 And WWE Saturday's main event preview and predictions edition of SRTU. 9 00:00:34,720 --> 00:00:38,680 I am on app to show I am Jetpack joined every single week. 10 00:00:38,680 --> 00:00:40,960 My coach is the one only Dr. Trent Franklin. 11 00:00:40,960 --> 00:00:43,200 Dr. Trey, when you left your gloves and boots in the ring, 12 00:00:43,200 --> 00:00:46,280 did you think you'd ever be back, my friend? 13 00:00:46,280 --> 00:00:50,000 No, because I don't think I can fit into my gloves and boots anymore. 14 00:00:50,000 --> 00:00:54,520 Like usually if I leave clothes behind, it's usually because the husband came home early. 15 00:00:54,520 --> 00:00:55,920 Fair enough, fair enough. 16 00:00:55,920 --> 00:01:01,680 So, Dr. Trey not retired, but one Brock Lesnar we thought, 17 00:01:01,680 --> 00:01:05,520 at least from the WrestleMania standpoint, was retired. 18 00:01:05,520 --> 00:01:07,320 Dr. Trey lots to cover this week. 19 00:01:07,320 --> 00:01:08,360 Let's get right into it. 20 00:01:08,360 --> 00:01:13,680 This past Monday night on RAW, Opa Femi comes out for the open challenge 21 00:01:13,680 --> 00:01:18,280 and is interrupted, attacked by the returning beast himself, 22 00:01:18,280 --> 00:01:22,840 the one and only Brock Lesnar about five weeks ago. 23 00:01:22,840 --> 00:01:25,680 We were talking about, do we think Brock is really retired? 24 00:01:25,680 --> 00:01:28,160 Following WrestleMania, the vibe was no. 25 00:01:28,160 --> 00:01:30,840 We think he has one match left in him. 26 00:01:30,840 --> 00:01:33,960 While this isn't surprising, I would say the timing of it is, 27 00:01:33,960 --> 00:01:37,840 I did not foresee a potential Brock Lesnar Opa Femi match 28 00:01:37,840 --> 00:01:41,040 on the horizon here in less than 10 days or so. 29 00:01:41,040 --> 00:01:44,320 When WWE goes overseas for clash in Italy, 30 00:01:44,320 --> 00:01:49,240 your thoughts on the Brock Lesnar return and challenge for Opa Femi at Clash in Italy. 31 00:01:49,240 --> 00:01:52,560 Yeah, I'm not surprised on the return. 32 00:01:52,560 --> 00:01:56,680 Like you said, we all kind of thought Summer Slams in Minnesota this year. 33 00:01:56,680 --> 00:02:00,000 We all kind of figured he's going to make an appearance at Summer Slams in Minnesota. 34 00:02:00,000 --> 00:02:05,520 That's his old stomping grounds before he decided to go stomp moose in Canada. 35 00:02:05,520 --> 00:02:06,880 But that's his home. 36 00:02:06,880 --> 00:02:13,440 This was surprising, not only because he was so soon after the supposed retirement 37 00:02:13,440 --> 00:02:17,400 after WrestleMania, but it's also for a match in Italy. 38 00:02:17,400 --> 00:02:24,520 That is a really, I don't see Brock as a spaghetti and meatballs and chicken-free mavera type of guy. 39 00:02:24,520 --> 00:02:26,480 Well, venison, how about venison? 40 00:02:26,480 --> 00:02:31,720 Yeah, I didn't see him going, "Hey, I want to come back because I really want to go rest." 41 00:02:31,720 --> 00:02:33,480 Maybe he does want a wrestling Italy. 42 00:02:33,480 --> 00:02:38,080 Maybe that's on his bucket list, but it just kind of seemed odd that 43 00:02:38,080 --> 00:02:43,280 the return is for a pay-per-view in Italy so soon after the WrestleMania. 44 00:02:43,280 --> 00:02:46,480 I mean, I'm not sure what the next pay-per-view is. 45 00:02:46,480 --> 00:02:49,800 I know usually we got money in the bank coming up at some point here soon. 46 00:02:49,800 --> 00:02:53,400 Also, usually it's in the summer around June or July. 47 00:02:53,400 --> 00:03:00,840 I kind of thought that would be when we might see him pop up if it all before Summer Slams, 48 00:03:00,840 --> 00:03:05,520 but to have him come back to challenge Oba for clash in Italy, 49 00:03:05,520 --> 00:03:10,200 just maybe it's because Brock thinks that since Italy's shaped like a boot, 50 00:03:10,200 --> 00:03:12,160 he can get some nice cowboy boots there. 51 00:03:12,160 --> 00:03:13,000 I don't know. 52 00:03:13,000 --> 00:03:14,640 Just to quickly unpack there. 53 00:03:14,640 --> 00:03:18,840 So I believe the next pay-per-view is night of champion Saudi Arabia. 54 00:03:18,840 --> 00:03:21,160 We don't know if they're going to be going over there. 55 00:03:21,160 --> 00:03:25,560 WWE says they are despite what's going on with the conflict in the Middle East. 56 00:03:25,560 --> 00:03:29,360 I don't believe money in the bank right now is until September. 57 00:03:29,360 --> 00:03:33,000 I want to say Dr. Trey, I feel like it's in New Orleans in September. 58 00:03:33,000 --> 00:03:38,240 I thought they changed when it was, which I believe reportedly, 59 00:03:38,240 --> 00:03:42,040 or maybe he's even said it, yes, Sunday September 6 in New Orleans. 60 00:03:42,040 --> 00:03:47,960 Money in the Bank is, I feel like Triple H said that he's not like the biggest fan of Money in the Bank, 61 00:03:47,960 --> 00:03:50,600 because it kind of screws things up. 62 00:03:50,600 --> 00:03:55,200 Am I wrong though that typically it was in May June July in New Orleans? 63 00:03:55,200 --> 00:03:57,640 Oh yeah, no, you're 100% right. 64 00:03:57,640 --> 00:04:00,640 Okay, I just want to make sure I wasn't wrong in my time, 65 00:04:00,640 --> 00:04:03,960 because I always kind of remember Money in the Bank being the precursor to Summer Slams, 66 00:04:03,960 --> 00:04:09,080 because people would tease about cashing in at Summer Slams or hold until WrestleMania. 67 00:04:09,080 --> 00:04:12,560 That's why it's a little weird that's not till September. 68 00:04:12,560 --> 00:04:16,840 But if you're not a fan of the event, just get rid of it. 69 00:04:16,840 --> 00:04:20,640 It is, but I'm great if I'm wrong, but I mean, or what your thoughts are. 70 00:04:20,640 --> 00:04:24,400 It is weird for Brock to come back at a B. 71 00:04:24,400 --> 00:04:29,320 I don't know where Clash in Italy is kind of like Clash of the Castle in those sense. 72 00:04:29,320 --> 00:04:31,600 Where do you, this is a B thing? 73 00:04:31,600 --> 00:04:35,000 I have a theory on this, Dr. Trey. 74 00:04:35,000 --> 00:04:43,440 So, I think five weeks ago WWE was like 50/50 pessimistic, optimistic, whatever, 75 00:04:43,440 --> 00:04:47,920 that they were going to be going to Saudi Arabia in June based on what was going on during that timeline. 76 00:04:47,920 --> 00:04:50,480 And they were like, let's run the retirement angle. 77 00:04:50,480 --> 00:04:55,720 That way if Brock comes back, let's say after June, come July leading Summer Slams, 78 00:04:55,720 --> 00:04:59,520 they can build towards what I believe to be will be a match with Gunther. 79 00:04:59,520 --> 00:05:04,480 And I'll have more on my feelings on that actually with the next topic we discuss. 80 00:05:04,480 --> 00:05:10,080 Once WWE got the vibe that they are probably going to end up going overseas now for Saudi Arabia, 81 00:05:10,080 --> 00:05:16,240 they wanted to get like a trifecta series here, free matches in a series. 82 00:05:16,240 --> 00:05:19,920 It's kind of like the way WWE does things. 83 00:05:19,920 --> 00:05:23,640 I think they did it with Brock and Cody a couple of years back. 84 00:05:23,640 --> 00:05:26,240 And I think they're going to do it with Oma and Brock right now. 85 00:05:26,240 --> 00:05:29,280 So, Oba gets the big win, WrestleMania. 86 00:05:29,280 --> 00:05:33,880 I think at Clash in Italy, Lesnar gets the win over Oba. 87 00:05:33,880 --> 00:05:40,480 And then they go to Saudi Arabia for the third and final match where it's Brock versus Oba. 88 00:05:40,480 --> 00:05:46,800 And then I think you get the quasi, like a mixture of what we saw at WrestleMania this past year with Lesnar. 89 00:05:46,800 --> 00:05:49,840 And I'm going to leave the boots and gloves in the ring. 90 00:05:49,840 --> 00:05:54,680 But also a mixture of when he gave respect to Cody at Summer Slams several years ago, 91 00:05:54,680 --> 00:05:58,120 Shakes Oba's hand, passed the torch, they move on. 92 00:05:58,120 --> 00:06:03,320 And I think that's where we come up with the idea that maybe we have like a retirement ceremony or 93 00:06:03,320 --> 00:06:08,520 something like that on Raw, where Lesnar is honored and then that's where Gunther comes out. 94 00:06:08,520 --> 00:06:11,760 Because this is going to bleed into the next topic a little bit. 95 00:06:11,760 --> 00:06:20,200 Heyman's favorite job was to have Gunther sign a contract to join Smackdown and 96 00:06:20,200 --> 00:06:23,160 have a title match at Clash in Italy against Cody. 97 00:06:23,160 --> 00:06:28,520 If you watch Smackdown this past Friday, Gunther did not sign that contract. 98 00:06:28,520 --> 00:06:31,560 Adam Pierce comes out says you let that are, excuse me, Nick, all this comes out and 99 00:06:31,560 --> 00:06:34,440 says you let the time go by way too fast. 100 00:06:34,440 --> 00:06:37,840 Now you're going to have a number one contender's match and you're going to fight Royce Keys. 101 00:06:37,840 --> 00:06:41,040 And he ends up winning and he's going to be taking on Cody at Clash in Italy and 102 00:06:41,040 --> 00:06:45,040 he didn't need to sign that contract that was guaranteed to him to do so. 103 00:06:45,040 --> 00:06:49,280 And that's where I think the doors opened down the line now, some a little bit of foreshadowing or 104 00:06:49,280 --> 00:06:52,280 put this kind of this nook and cranny in the back of your brain. 105 00:06:52,280 --> 00:06:56,120 Where then the favor is is I want to retire the beast. 106 00:06:56,120 --> 00:06:58,120 And that's what leads us in the Summer Slams. 107 00:06:58,120 --> 00:07:03,240 So I think all along they wanted to do three matches with Lesnar and Oba and they may have 108 00:07:03,240 --> 00:07:07,920 ran that angle because they weren't necessarily sure are we going to get to Saudi Arabia to get 109 00:07:07,920 --> 00:07:12,040 Lesnar that one last massive payday from Saudi Arabia. 110 00:07:12,040 --> 00:07:16,440 I mean he gets a considerable payday for going down there and that's where I think we get 111 00:07:16,440 --> 00:07:18,000 the third and final match. 112 00:07:18,000 --> 00:07:23,440 So I say he wins at Clash in Italy and we go for the tiebreaker at night of champions. 113 00:07:23,440 --> 00:07:29,640 So that is my theory in creative booking or fictional booking however you want to do this. 114 00:07:29,640 --> 00:07:35,600 Fan fiction Dr. Tray on the Brock Lesnar path for the next three or four months. 115 00:07:35,600 --> 00:07:37,680 The trio of matches makes sense. 116 00:07:37,680 --> 00:07:39,680 Mishirai, like definitely he loves trios. 117 00:07:39,680 --> 00:07:45,160 They love, they love not as far as tag teams but they do loves three in a row matches. 118 00:07:45,160 --> 00:07:49,120 I mean near God I mean Roman during his five year run. 119 00:07:49,120 --> 00:07:55,400 I mean he had three in a row with like everybody to try and stretch some of these rivalries out. 120 00:07:55,400 --> 00:08:02,520 My question that would be this leads into a little bit into what you're saying is does 121 00:08:02,520 --> 00:08:07,240 that mean in your mind is Gunther going back to Raw is he staying on Smackdown like what 122 00:08:07,240 --> 00:08:12,760 is I am curious to hear your fancy booking for what you do with Gunther to get through 123 00:08:12,760 --> 00:08:15,840 Summer Slams for that potential match with Brock. 124 00:08:15,840 --> 00:08:18,320 Yeah I think I don't think Gunther wins the title. 125 00:08:18,320 --> 00:08:21,000 I mean I would want to put the championship on Gunther right now. 126 00:08:21,000 --> 00:08:23,960 I don't think you make it a title match or anything like that. 127 00:08:23,960 --> 00:08:25,400 I think Cody's the golden boy. 128 00:08:25,400 --> 00:08:29,680 I think the original I mean there's so much that happened after WrestleMania that we believe 129 00:08:29,680 --> 00:08:31,080 was supposed to happen. 130 00:08:31,080 --> 00:08:36,520 The belief was the Cody and Randy feud was going to continue that it was going to lead to 131 00:08:36,520 --> 00:08:41,960 Cody and Jelly Roll versus Pat McAfee and Randy Orton at at Backlash Tampa. 132 00:08:41,960 --> 00:08:44,480 And then I would figure maybe that spawns off into a match. 133 00:08:44,480 --> 00:08:49,400 I would say Clash and Italy with Orton and Cody going at it one more time. 134 00:08:49,400 --> 00:08:54,360 They left that feud open ended with a punt of the head to close out WrestleMania. 135 00:08:54,360 --> 00:08:58,200 Randy is reportedly back at home, nursing the back injury. 136 00:08:58,200 --> 00:09:00,280 I don't think that they're done with that. 137 00:09:00,280 --> 00:09:04,520 That or they're kind of an awaiting period where we're back to it unfortunately like Randy 138 00:09:04,520 --> 00:09:06,120 or never wrestle again. 139 00:09:06,120 --> 00:09:07,320 Or we're just going to give him some rest. 140 00:09:07,320 --> 00:09:11,800 We'll pick it back up maybe in at night of champions, carry it over to Summer Slams. 141 00:09:11,800 --> 00:09:17,800 I think there's more likely chance in my brain that there's a Randy Orton title run because 142 00:09:17,800 --> 00:09:22,600 according reports he was going to win that match at WrestleMania if he wasn't injured. 143 00:09:22,600 --> 00:09:26,160 Then there is a Gunther championship run right now. 144 00:09:26,160 --> 00:09:30,640 So I say he loses Clash and Italy goes back to Raw for a little bit. 145 00:09:30,640 --> 00:09:35,360 Yeah, because I was curious because you know with Jacob Fattu being on Raw. 146 00:09:35,360 --> 00:09:38,240 This was kind of like a one for one trade Fattu for Gunther. 147 00:09:38,240 --> 00:09:43,080 And then but if Gunther goes back to Raw, just Jacob go back to Smackdown. 148 00:09:43,080 --> 00:09:47,000 And like there are so many weird moving parts right now post WrestleMania that you're trying 149 00:09:47,000 --> 00:09:49,000 to fear where everything's going to land. 150 00:09:49,000 --> 00:09:53,960 Because originally I thought Gunther might win in Italy and you get title versus career at 151 00:09:53,960 --> 00:10:00,760 Summer Slam that Payman comes in and goes, hey I did you the favor by getting you in line 152 00:10:00,760 --> 00:10:03,840 to win this championship now UOMI. 153 00:10:03,840 --> 00:10:06,000 Rock wants a title match. 154 00:10:06,000 --> 00:10:09,960 And Gunther goes well that's fine but he also retires so if he wants title match he's got 155 00:10:09,960 --> 00:10:12,400 to put his career on the line so I can end here. 156 00:10:12,400 --> 00:10:16,880 So that was kind of my initial thought but you're right like they do have the Horde in 157 00:10:16,880 --> 00:10:22,660 the back round and maybe Cody retains Gunther goes back to Raw, Blaine's Hayman for the 158 00:10:22,660 --> 00:10:26,480 loss and then that's how he gets to Brock and Gunther at Summer Slam. 159 00:10:26,480 --> 00:10:30,000 Yeah maybe who knows maybe the vision gets involved in that match with Cody or something 160 00:10:30,000 --> 00:10:31,480 like that right. 161 00:10:31,480 --> 00:10:35,760 I will say I was thinking about this before the show as I was prepping tonight. 162 00:10:35,760 --> 00:10:43,160 Because I do feel like WWE has some seeds planted for some good long term storylines in WWE 163 00:10:43,160 --> 00:10:45,560 that we haven't seen in a little bit of time. 164 00:10:45,560 --> 00:10:48,840 So maybe they're listening to the feedback of like hey the fans are not really digging 165 00:10:48,840 --> 00:10:54,080 these storylines because you are one of the things that I did not enjoy about the Vince 166 00:10:54,080 --> 00:10:59,200 McMahon era generation whatever you want to say because it's stretched for 40 plus years 167 00:10:59,200 --> 00:11:03,200 was the only time they really listened to the fans was when their backs were up against 168 00:11:03,200 --> 00:11:04,200 the wall. 169 00:11:04,200 --> 00:11:09,240 They spawned the attitude era if it wasn't for WSW kicking their ass and ECW becoming very 170 00:11:09,240 --> 00:11:14,800 popular with a lot of people in the Jerry Springer era of 90s pop culture. 171 00:11:14,800 --> 00:11:20,000 I still think TL Hopper and Passion Booker would be on like my television screen. 172 00:11:20,000 --> 00:11:24,760 They were not evolving and they went into a really really weird era of PG wrestling in 173 00:11:24,760 --> 00:11:27,960 the mid 90s. 174 00:11:27,960 --> 00:11:32,920 And what I like about what you're seeing right now from WWE is they're taking the criticisms 175 00:11:32,920 --> 00:11:36,600 and instead of there is time where they're like hey the fans don't know what we're talking 176 00:11:36,600 --> 00:11:37,600 about. 177 00:11:37,600 --> 00:11:41,800 I mean Nikon I guess they're in a town hall coming out of WrestleMania like pointed out 178 00:11:41,800 --> 00:11:44,000 fans tweets that were complaining about something. 179 00:11:44,000 --> 00:11:48,440 Well, you know, it's very easy to find someone complaining about anything on the internet 180 00:11:48,440 --> 00:11:49,880 about anything that you're doing. 181 00:11:49,880 --> 00:11:53,920 It could be a bright sunny day and someone will still complain. 182 00:11:53,920 --> 00:11:56,720 I mean, most recently not to get too sad. 183 00:11:56,720 --> 00:12:01,080 >> Only redheads, only redheads complain about bright sunny days, Jeff. 184 00:12:01,080 --> 00:12:02,080 >> That is true. 185 00:12:02,080 --> 00:12:03,080 I mean, I have to stay inside. 186 00:12:03,080 --> 00:12:07,080 But I mean, we just had a nasty winter and we finally had a stretch of days where it was 187 00:12:07,080 --> 00:12:10,320 like 80 degrees and above and I had family members that were like, "Ah, it's too hot out, 188 00:12:10,320 --> 00:12:11,320 I'm not going outside." 189 00:12:11,320 --> 00:12:14,600 It's like, "Do you remember we were like locked inside for about four months?" 190 00:12:14,600 --> 00:12:15,600 Like, "I'm going out." 191 00:12:15,600 --> 00:12:19,600 Even with Dr. Trace saying, "I still put a hat on, a lot of it's a sunblock and I still 192 00:12:19,600 --> 00:12:20,600 go outside." 193 00:12:20,600 --> 00:12:23,480 It's like, still people will find something wrong with something. 194 00:12:23,480 --> 00:12:26,880 But WWE, they're rolling back the ticket prices as they showed. 195 00:12:26,880 --> 00:12:29,400 I mean, it costs an arm and a leg to go to WrestleMania this year. 196 00:12:29,400 --> 00:12:34,600 They're bringing back house shows to at least a wave of them to help get some of the younger 197 00:12:34,600 --> 00:12:37,920 talents trained and keep reps going. 198 00:12:37,920 --> 00:12:40,000 They're just listening to the fans more. 199 00:12:40,000 --> 00:12:42,720 And that's what I like to see and hopefully that's something that we're seeing with the 200 00:12:42,720 --> 00:12:44,600 long-term storytelling right now. 201 00:12:44,600 --> 00:12:45,600 There's a lot of seats planted. 202 00:12:45,600 --> 00:12:51,520 I think Fat 2 and Reigns, Gunther and Cody, Lesnar and Opa Reignow are some of the big 203 00:12:51,520 --> 00:12:52,520 storylines. 204 00:12:52,520 --> 00:12:55,720 Rollins and Braun Breaker, those are the storylines you could really take a look at. 205 00:12:55,720 --> 00:12:58,400 And even some of the ones that are like on the mid-level right now, I think there's some 206 00:12:58,400 --> 00:13:01,120 stuff from looking at Saturday Night's main event. 207 00:13:01,120 --> 00:13:06,920 Like, the Becky Lynch-Stole Rooka stuff, I think, has the possibility of being a good three 208 00:13:06,920 --> 00:13:08,320 to four-month program right now. 209 00:13:08,320 --> 00:13:11,200 I think there's a lot of good seats being planted. 210 00:13:11,200 --> 00:13:12,720 So it's exciting times. 211 00:13:12,720 --> 00:13:17,400 And that's just something I'm noticing right now that at least I'm excited about Dr. 212 00:13:17,400 --> 00:13:18,400 Trait. 213 00:13:18,400 --> 00:13:22,120 It feels like there's some good storytelling being told or the early stages of it in WWE 214 00:13:22,120 --> 00:13:23,120 right now. 215 00:13:23,120 --> 00:13:25,120 Yeah, and even some of the Easter eggs. 216 00:13:25,120 --> 00:13:28,440 You're seeing the LA night, Jimmy and Jay backstage stuff. 217 00:13:28,440 --> 00:13:32,540 You're seeing a different Jay-o's, so this Jay-o's, so it's kind of like an unhinged pit 218 00:13:32,540 --> 00:13:35,320 bowl that Jimmy has to control. 219 00:13:35,320 --> 00:13:39,440 But then you see the interaction of LA night and Seth Rollins. 220 00:13:39,440 --> 00:13:41,120 You brought this on yourself. 221 00:13:41,120 --> 00:13:44,160 And you're going to need help, but don't come to me. 222 00:13:44,160 --> 00:13:49,320 And you're seeing this going like, well, maybe this is foreshadowing LA night turning at 223 00:13:49,320 --> 00:13:51,320 some point. 224 00:13:51,320 --> 00:13:57,400 Where you see the weird back behind people's stuff, where you see like Maxine Dupri always 225 00:13:57,400 --> 00:13:59,680 out with Austin Theory. 226 00:13:59,680 --> 00:14:01,320 Like those little subtle things like that. 227 00:14:01,320 --> 00:14:05,120 And WWE two years ago was fantastic at this. 228 00:14:05,120 --> 00:14:08,760 You and I sat there and you're like, hey, did you see what was going on in the background 229 00:14:08,760 --> 00:14:09,760 of that stuff? 230 00:14:09,760 --> 00:14:15,800 Even when the riots were coming on, you see rambling rabbits sitting on a shelf somewhere. 231 00:14:15,800 --> 00:14:18,200 You're like, wait, does that mean something? 232 00:14:18,200 --> 00:14:23,520 That stuff was what, for die-hard fans like us, we ate that stuff up. 233 00:14:23,520 --> 00:14:28,680 But then you still have the casual storyline going off for your regular fans. 234 00:14:28,680 --> 00:14:34,720 And I don't know what happened in the last 18 months where that kind of went away. 235 00:14:34,720 --> 00:14:38,920 But now we're starting to see that develop out more and more and more. 236 00:14:38,920 --> 00:14:45,800 And you're like, ah, there could be some deeper storytelling in here that keeps us engaged 237 00:14:45,800 --> 00:14:49,600 over the next nine months to a year based on how this plays out. 238 00:14:49,600 --> 00:14:54,360 I don't know, the idea that Pat Mack, if you'll never be back at WWE again, I think is bullshit. 239 00:14:54,360 --> 00:14:56,360 We know Pat's going to be a good soul. 240 00:14:56,360 --> 00:14:57,360 I agree. 241 00:14:57,360 --> 00:15:03,880 You know, Randy being off TV, but I'm still pissed that he punted Cody in the head, which 242 00:15:03,880 --> 00:15:10,520 took people out for nine months a decade ago and Cody's back on TV a week later. 243 00:15:10,520 --> 00:15:14,280 And I'm like, there's got to be a little bit more to this as well. 244 00:15:14,280 --> 00:15:20,880 So like, yeah, I do like their storytelling right now is decently consistent. 245 00:15:20,880 --> 00:15:24,520 But we're starting to see them get back to what made them really hot. 246 00:15:24,520 --> 00:15:29,600 You know, two years ago with some of this sub story telling these Easter eggs, these little 247 00:15:29,600 --> 00:15:35,160 hints that people are picking up on, that's what really made the product two, three years 248 00:15:35,160 --> 00:15:37,360 ago really, really enjoyable and engaging. 249 00:15:37,360 --> 00:15:38,760 Totally great, totally great. 250 00:15:38,760 --> 00:15:44,960 And I think we saw some interesting seeds planted with going back to Smackdown from this past 251 00:15:44,960 --> 00:15:45,960 Friday. 252 00:15:45,960 --> 00:15:50,480 So I want to talk about the Royce Keys Gunther stuff, which we've kind of dabbled in and 253 00:15:50,480 --> 00:15:51,680 we're talking about good story lines. 254 00:15:51,680 --> 00:15:55,480 You've got some really good story line stuff with Royce Keys and Solusico and the MFTs, 255 00:15:55,480 --> 00:15:56,480 the remaining MFTs. 256 00:15:56,480 --> 00:15:59,120 Where does Royce Keys sit on this entire thing? 257 00:15:59,120 --> 00:16:05,040 What is the relationship of Tamatanga and Shinsuke Nakamura and this entire thing as well? 258 00:16:05,040 --> 00:16:07,720 And then it's bleeding into what we're seeing with Gunther. 259 00:16:07,720 --> 00:16:13,200 So to me, the big discussion around this is not necessarily story lines, Dr. Trey because 260 00:16:13,200 --> 00:16:17,480 as we know now, Gunther is the new number one contender defeated Royce Keys on Friday 261 00:16:17,480 --> 00:16:22,840 Night Smackdown after involvement from Solusico, but I thought the point of this match more importantly 262 00:16:22,840 --> 00:16:30,440 was this was the first and true WWE test for Royce Keys. 263 00:16:30,440 --> 00:16:36,520 Could he hang with one of the best wrestlers in WWE in the main event spot? 264 00:16:36,520 --> 00:16:39,640 Is this somebody that WWE should be looking at and investing on? 265 00:16:39,640 --> 00:16:43,560 And you could just feel that this was the test for Royce Keys. 266 00:16:43,560 --> 00:16:45,880 And I thought he brought it, but what did you think? 267 00:16:45,880 --> 00:16:50,760 Did Royce Keys pass the test because I think we've always liked Royce Keys powerhouse 268 00:16:50,760 --> 00:16:52,520 Hobbs and AEW? 269 00:16:52,520 --> 00:16:55,760 There were times that he had great runs with the TNT Championship and then there were times 270 00:16:55,760 --> 00:16:59,360 he was kind of a background player, whether it was with Team Taz or even most recently 271 00:16:59,360 --> 00:17:01,520 with the Ops as a Trio's Champion. 272 00:17:01,520 --> 00:17:05,120 They never felt like they wanted to see him break through that maybe upper mid card at 273 00:17:05,120 --> 00:17:07,000 best into the main event picture. 274 00:17:07,000 --> 00:17:10,560 Here he is working a main event with one of the best in-ring workers today in Gunther. 275 00:17:10,560 --> 00:17:15,560 Did Royce Keys pass the test in your mind as being a big player for World Wrestling Entertainment 276 00:17:15,560 --> 00:17:16,560 moving forward? 277 00:17:16,560 --> 00:17:23,680 Yeah, I mean I think he passed the first test and I say that because we've seen the backstage 278 00:17:23,680 --> 00:17:29,800 interactions with Solusico and he sounds comfortable, he sounds good talking, he's not stumbling 279 00:17:29,800 --> 00:17:36,400 over words, getting in the way of Gunther and looking like a player, like looking like you 280 00:17:36,400 --> 00:17:39,160 belong and I think he passed that test. 281 00:17:39,160 --> 00:17:45,600 Now we've seen WWE in years past, move guys up a little bit and then they kind of fall on 282 00:17:45,600 --> 00:17:46,760 their face. 283 00:17:46,760 --> 00:17:51,120 So I would say the initial test, he's passing, I mean when flying colors, I thought the 284 00:17:51,120 --> 00:17:55,920 match was really good, it was hard hitting, those guys brought it, you actually had a couple 285 00:17:55,920 --> 00:17:58,280 moments where you're like, man they might let Keys win this thing. 286 00:17:58,280 --> 00:18:03,680 I don't think, because if Keys wins you get Keys and Cody, well Cody and Royce Keys love 287 00:18:03,680 --> 00:18:06,200 each other, that's one of Cody's guys. 288 00:18:06,200 --> 00:18:09,840 So we saw what he's saying, it makes sense to put him with a guy that he feels comfortable 289 00:18:09,840 --> 00:18:14,760 with for him to get in the ring with Gunther, somebody who's probably never wrestled before 290 00:18:14,760 --> 00:18:22,440 his life and have a hard hitting, competitive match, look the part, look believable, I think 291 00:18:22,440 --> 00:18:23,440 is a testament to him. 292 00:18:23,440 --> 00:18:26,840 And the other thing I love about this whole thing Jeff and I don't know if you've noticed 293 00:18:26,840 --> 00:18:35,520 it, but let's look at Royce Keys, Ricky Saints, Saul Rooka, who are all being featured, 294 00:18:35,520 --> 00:18:41,680 Ricky Saints, what, has beat Matt Cardona, but lost to Cody, Saul Rooka hasn't won a match 295 00:18:41,680 --> 00:18:47,560 yet, and Royce Keys now is I think two in one on the main roster, they're not letting 296 00:18:47,560 --> 00:18:52,120 these guys get these big long undefeated streets, they're putting them to the test and seeing 297 00:18:52,120 --> 00:18:53,960 how they handle adversity as well. 298 00:18:53,960 --> 00:19:00,000 So I kind of like their new approach with their NEC call ups, this most recent round of it 299 00:19:00,000 --> 00:19:01,000 at least. 300 00:19:01,000 --> 00:19:03,880 Yeah, there's really no dominant force unless there's Oba Femme, right? 301 00:19:03,880 --> 00:19:09,280 I mean, even Javon Evans, I would say Ethan Page has been on a little bit of a winning streak, 302 00:19:09,280 --> 00:19:12,760 we'll cover his match with Penta for the Intercontinental Championship this Saturday, it's 303 00:19:12,760 --> 00:19:16,520 Saturday and it's main event in just a little bit, but I agree with you, I think there's 304 00:19:16,520 --> 00:19:21,240 some really good tests that are being played out here and they're not making them look 305 00:19:21,240 --> 00:19:26,560 too dominant, it books them into a corner because I think you can kind of book them more as 306 00:19:26,560 --> 00:19:32,080 underdogs or middle of the pack so that when they do start to break through a little bit 307 00:19:32,080 --> 00:19:37,280 and pick up some momentum, and also WWE does these things where they do test them with 308 00:19:37,280 --> 00:19:43,480 losses, see how they react, see how the crowd reacts, see how the crowd still behind them. 309 00:19:43,480 --> 00:19:47,120 It's an interesting test because I think one of the worst things WWE always did with 310 00:19:47,120 --> 00:19:51,120 the debut was just like winning tricks, oh there are no winning tricks, winning trick, winning 311 00:19:51,120 --> 00:19:54,800 trick, and sometimes people came out of those winning tricks really, really well and sometimes 312 00:19:54,800 --> 00:19:58,720 they eventually fell down the ladder and were not in the spot where they were when they 313 00:19:58,720 --> 00:20:02,560 first debuted with the company, so yeah, it's something that I've been noticing, I thought 314 00:20:02,560 --> 00:20:07,440 Royce Keys passed the test this past Friday night against Gunther, I thought he performed 315 00:20:07,440 --> 00:20:11,920 well, would be interesting to be a fly on the wall when you know somebody came up to him, 316 00:20:11,920 --> 00:20:15,760 maybe Paul of EctriBlade, right, came up to Gunther and was like, what do you think? 317 00:20:15,760 --> 00:20:20,240 Royce Keys, it'd be very interesting to see what Gunther said because I think he's someone 318 00:20:20,240 --> 00:20:25,000 that obviously has an amazing amount of talent, find extremely entertaining and ring really 319 00:20:25,000 --> 00:20:31,880 a throwback in ring work, I really enjoy watching him work from a methodotical standpoint and 320 00:20:31,880 --> 00:20:33,680 would love to hear what he had to say about Royce Keys. 321 00:20:33,680 --> 00:20:38,200 From a fan standpoint, I thought he did a great job, I thought he passed the flying colors 322 00:20:38,200 --> 00:20:41,080 and we'll see if that sticks, we'll see if he continues to stick and that main event 323 00:20:41,080 --> 00:20:45,280 spot on Friday nights back down as he got that big test against Gunther for number one 324 00:20:45,280 --> 00:20:49,480 container for the WWE Championship at Clash in Paris. 325 00:20:49,480 --> 00:20:54,240 Moving forward here to this Saturday, Dr. Trey, a quick little preview of Saturday nights 326 00:20:54,240 --> 00:20:59,760 main event from the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana, we've got 327 00:20:59,760 --> 00:21:05,960 five matches on the card, it'll be airing on Peacock or as Peacock, how does it go? 328 00:21:05,960 --> 00:21:09,960 What did Peacock, as Conrad Thompson would say? 329 00:21:09,960 --> 00:21:13,600 Five matches we've got Pente Defending Intercontinental Championship against Ethan Page, the 330 00:21:13,600 --> 00:21:16,840 Vision, Logan Paul and Austin Therry defending the World Tag Team Championship against the 331 00:21:16,840 --> 00:21:17,840 Strait Prophets. 332 00:21:17,840 --> 00:21:22,400 We've rippedly shot Flare and Alexa Bliss taking on Jade Cargill, Meetion and B-Fab in a 333 00:21:22,400 --> 00:21:26,760 six-woman tag team match, Becky Lynch versus Soul Rook and a non-title match, and Page and 334 00:21:26,760 --> 00:21:30,560 Bree Bell at a Fend the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship against the Interresistible 335 00:21:30,560 --> 00:21:33,560 Forces of last legend and Nia Jax. 336 00:21:33,560 --> 00:21:37,080 Dr. Trey, your thoughts on the card and what matches to count to you? 337 00:21:37,080 --> 00:21:41,040 I mean, it stands out to me that we're having five matches and three of our women's 338 00:21:41,040 --> 00:21:42,040 matches. 339 00:21:42,040 --> 00:21:46,320 I mean, that just shows once again the faith they have and the women's division to put on 340 00:21:46,320 --> 00:21:51,120 not only good matches, but compelling television. 341 00:21:51,120 --> 00:21:55,560 I'm also really interested in the Penta, I almost said love Penta. 342 00:21:55,560 --> 00:22:00,880 The Penta Ethan Page match because I like how they're presenting Ethan Page. 343 00:22:00,880 --> 00:22:02,200 I really enjoy it. 344 00:22:02,200 --> 00:22:05,000 I love the little sit down in everything Michael Cole. 345 00:22:05,000 --> 00:22:09,720 Like I like how they're presenting him because that was always how I envisioned presenting 346 00:22:09,720 --> 00:22:12,440 Ethan Page. 347 00:22:12,440 --> 00:22:16,400 You go back a year ago, I said man, bring Ethan Page up, pair him with the Miz and then with 348 00:22:16,400 --> 00:22:19,400 the Miz retires you have your new Miz. 349 00:22:19,400 --> 00:22:24,080 So I'm really intrigued to see where they go at that match. 350 00:22:24,080 --> 00:22:29,080 But that's, yeah, like on paper, it's the women's matches in that Ethan Page Penta match 351 00:22:29,080 --> 00:22:30,560 that have me really interested. 352 00:22:30,560 --> 00:22:33,960 I'm really interested in what they do with Bree Bell in Page because yeah, we know they're 353 00:22:33,960 --> 00:22:38,240 friends, but those styles don't really mesh up well and I'm kind of curious like how 354 00:22:38,240 --> 00:22:43,680 long do you keep them in the tag team before you break Page off on your own? 355 00:22:43,680 --> 00:22:48,600 You know, the six woman, the six ones match is interesting because it's like on paper, 356 00:22:48,600 --> 00:22:51,920 like how do you beat Ria Charlotte in Alexa? 357 00:22:51,920 --> 00:22:55,560 But then if you're trying to get back to Jade and Ria too, you kind of like they have to 358 00:22:55,560 --> 00:22:57,440 win that match. 359 00:22:57,440 --> 00:23:02,320 And then Becky and Saul's interesting because I don't know if this is a popular opinion. 360 00:23:02,320 --> 00:23:06,720 I feel like Becky has owned this verbal rivalry so far. 361 00:23:06,720 --> 00:23:09,680 I don't think Saul sounds good on the mic yet. 362 00:23:09,680 --> 00:23:15,560 And Becky's trying to carry her a little bit, but Saul's had a couple of missteps in the 363 00:23:15,560 --> 00:23:16,560 ring as well. 364 00:23:16,560 --> 00:23:18,160 So it's coming to me and Ross for some. 365 00:23:18,160 --> 00:23:22,720 This is a chance for her to really shine and I'm afraid if she has a bad match, she's 366 00:23:22,720 --> 00:23:25,680 going to get kind of ostracized for it. 367 00:23:25,680 --> 00:23:26,680 So that was the fit. 368 00:23:26,680 --> 00:23:27,960 I already forgot the fifth match. 369 00:23:27,960 --> 00:23:30,400 What's the fifth match ever got? 370 00:23:30,400 --> 00:23:32,960 You talked about you talk about Paige and Bree Bella. 371 00:23:32,960 --> 00:23:36,680 Becky Lynch and Saul Rukko, Ria Ripley, Charlotte, did you not bring up vision? 372 00:23:36,680 --> 00:23:37,680 In Street Profits? 373 00:23:37,680 --> 00:23:40,120 Yes, that was the one I missed out on. 374 00:23:40,120 --> 00:23:44,840 And I'm interested because you saw a little bit of storytelling Monday night where Montez 375 00:23:44,840 --> 00:23:49,280 is not happy that Angelo came to Seth's defense. 376 00:23:49,280 --> 00:23:50,720 But he still took the... 377 00:23:50,720 --> 00:23:51,920 So does that? 378 00:23:51,920 --> 00:23:56,120 We've been teasing tension with the Street Profits for I feel like five years. 379 00:23:56,120 --> 00:23:58,280 And they're still together. 380 00:23:58,280 --> 00:24:02,800 Is that more tension does Montez end up being the one that turns heal? 381 00:24:02,800 --> 00:24:08,620 Is this big pop-up-pump Rick Steiner type break up where the company sees so much potential 382 00:24:08,620 --> 00:24:12,880 in Montez and not enough in Angelo that you have to break them up? 383 00:24:12,880 --> 00:24:16,960 Or is this a chance for the profits to jump back to the top of the tag division because 384 00:24:16,960 --> 00:24:20,440 dear God, they're one of the best tag teams we've seen in the last five years or last 385 00:24:20,440 --> 00:24:21,440 ten years. 386 00:24:21,440 --> 00:24:25,040 So I'm really interested where they go with that match as well. 387 00:24:25,040 --> 00:24:28,520 Like all five of the matches have compelling stories to them. 388 00:24:28,520 --> 00:24:34,960 So it's a solid...if there's not a main event level match on here, it is a very, very solid 389 00:24:34,960 --> 00:24:36,560 B plus card. 390 00:24:36,560 --> 00:24:41,360 That's interesting that your thing is Street Profits being potentially a break up based on 391 00:24:41,360 --> 00:24:42,360 everything that you see right now. 392 00:24:42,360 --> 00:24:47,040 That's not something that I'm watching or figured, but it's interesting to point that you 393 00:24:47,040 --> 00:24:48,040 make. 394 00:24:48,040 --> 00:24:53,760 Did you see that spot on Monday night or like Montez comes to him for the save on Angelo, 395 00:24:53,760 --> 00:24:55,280 but then he starts yelling at Angelo. 396 00:24:55,280 --> 00:24:59,880 I told you this happens when every time people get involved with Seth, and then he took the 397 00:24:59,880 --> 00:25:00,880 spear from Rob Breaker. 398 00:25:00,880 --> 00:25:03,280 I could see Montez for joining the vision. 399 00:25:03,280 --> 00:25:08,680 I'm looking at it more as Dawkins is being the one that's breaking the barriers of anybody 400 00:25:08,680 --> 00:25:12,440 that's like anti-Seth Rollins based on everything that he did and is trying to give him a chance 401 00:25:12,440 --> 00:25:15,480 while he may be able to turn Montez over. 402 00:25:15,480 --> 00:25:17,680 But I'm not knocking it at all. 403 00:25:17,680 --> 00:25:19,960 I think that's an interesting point. 404 00:25:19,960 --> 00:25:24,360 I think that's a different look that I had on it than I originally thought of with Montez 405 00:25:24,360 --> 00:25:29,560 maybe there is a turn because if Vince was still in the chair, I mean Montez Ford and 406 00:25:29,560 --> 00:25:31,800 Angelo Dawkins would not be attacked him anymore. 407 00:25:31,800 --> 00:25:34,320 Who knows where Angelo would be. 408 00:25:34,320 --> 00:25:36,080 They were starting to prep Montez Ford. 409 00:25:36,080 --> 00:25:40,760 They were running a storyline just before Triple H got the book that there's been tension 410 00:25:40,760 --> 00:25:41,760 with his free profits. 411 00:25:41,760 --> 00:25:45,520 Everybody feels like Montez Ford is a breakout star and then blah, blah, blah, blah. 412 00:25:45,520 --> 00:25:50,800 Then it just ceased because Triple H took the book and Vince McMahon abruptly retired. 413 00:25:50,800 --> 00:25:54,040 That was always, it looked like the P the plan and maybe it is one day. 414 00:25:54,040 --> 00:25:58,640 I like the free profits together more than separate honestly. 415 00:25:58,640 --> 00:26:02,440 For me, the matches that I'm looking most forward to is Penta versus Ethan Page for the 416 00:26:02,440 --> 00:26:03,440 Intercontinental Championship. 417 00:26:03,440 --> 00:26:05,760 I almost think there could be an upset there. 418 00:26:05,760 --> 00:26:08,320 I think Ethan Page could walk out of there as the Intercontinental Champion. 419 00:26:08,320 --> 00:26:13,400 He reminds me of somebody that could be that mid 90s Intercontinental Champion that 420 00:26:13,400 --> 00:26:17,360 I grew up with, that would be a throwback with that championship. 421 00:26:17,360 --> 00:26:19,040 Then it is Becky Lynch versus Soul Rooka. 422 00:26:19,040 --> 00:26:23,040 I think interesting point to me is by you, Dr. Trey, Soul Rooka not well known for the 423 00:26:23,040 --> 00:26:24,040 Mike skills. 424 00:26:24,040 --> 00:26:29,240 Definitely, Becky is eating her alive on the microphone and there have been some slip-ups 425 00:26:29,240 --> 00:26:30,640 in the ring with her interactions. 426 00:26:30,640 --> 00:26:34,720 I think she like nearly slipped a couple of times with doing a soul satcher. 427 00:26:34,720 --> 00:26:37,960 I think she bounces back this Saturday and we get a great match. 428 00:26:37,960 --> 00:26:39,920 I just love this run of Becky Lynch. 429 00:26:39,920 --> 00:26:44,600 I love that she's trying to elevate a lot of women along the way, whether it be Maxine 430 00:26:44,600 --> 00:26:46,440 to pre, Lyra Valqueria. 431 00:26:46,440 --> 00:26:50,280 I think that the one knock is and this maybe you listening at home right now or even Dr. 432 00:26:50,280 --> 00:26:55,720 Trey is that Becky does these things where she's elevating new stars, new women to climb 433 00:26:55,720 --> 00:26:59,880 the ranks in the women's division and then what does WWE do with them afterwards? 434 00:26:59,880 --> 00:27:00,880 Not much. 435 00:27:00,880 --> 00:27:05,640 Alright, Maxine is probably joining the vision but that's slowly burning out. 436 00:27:05,640 --> 00:27:10,280 Lyra Valqueria is in an infrequent tag team with Bailey that gets TV time infrequently right 437 00:27:10,280 --> 00:27:14,960 now and I think they should have had a run with the Champion Chep and Lyra was showing 438 00:27:14,960 --> 00:27:16,480 in that Becky feud. 439 00:27:16,480 --> 00:27:20,200 This is someone that you could put the top women's Champion Chep on in my opinion and let 440 00:27:20,200 --> 00:27:22,600 her run until the WrestleMania. 441 00:27:22,600 --> 00:27:25,680 And it was unfortunate that they have not done that yet. 442 00:27:25,680 --> 00:27:29,760 So big test for Soul Rooka, once again just love that Becky Lynch run. 443 00:27:29,760 --> 00:27:35,280 Saturday it's main event this Saturday on Peacock and we will recap it all here on next 444 00:27:35,280 --> 00:27:37,320 week's edition of SRTU. 445 00:27:37,320 --> 00:27:44,600 Switching gears off of WWE and into a W Dr. Trey, there was a little bit of a story 446 00:27:44,600 --> 00:27:49,800 that's been a slow burn over the last couple of weeks in regards to AW's TV deal. 447 00:27:49,800 --> 00:27:56,200 I saw some stuff online from some sources that were saying that AW already is aware that 448 00:27:56,200 --> 00:28:01,760 when their deal expires with Paramount Skydance that they are not returning to TNT TBS, all 449 00:28:01,760 --> 00:28:04,680 the Paramount own channels. 450 00:28:04,680 --> 00:28:09,320 That had picked up some momentum with obviously a reputable source and Dave Meltzer from 451 00:28:09,320 --> 00:28:15,600 the Wrestling Observer who reported earlier this week the following that one person in 452 00:28:15,600 --> 00:28:20,600 WWE noted that were to spread in the company among some, if not many, that AW won't be on Paramount's 453 00:28:20,600 --> 00:28:23,480 last Skydance when their current deal expires. 454 00:28:23,480 --> 00:28:29,160 And question if they can get a viable deal elsewhere saying quote, one person that they're 455 00:28:29,160 --> 00:28:33,520 noted that people at the highest levels are talking like AW won't get another deal. 456 00:28:33,520 --> 00:28:37,280 But those kind of stories spread previously at the last negotiations not that they wouldn't 457 00:28:37,280 --> 00:28:41,040 get a deal, but that their deal would be at the same level or perhaps a lower level than 458 00:28:41,040 --> 00:28:48,360 the prior deal and said they had a 2.3 times increase. 459 00:28:48,360 --> 00:28:53,080 Tonecon addressed this while promoting the ROH Supercar of Honor event saying that he saw 460 00:28:53,080 --> 00:28:55,240 the reports not sure why WWE was saying this. 461 00:28:55,240 --> 00:28:59,200 He said the old him would have fought back and argued but he's like a man of faith now, 462 00:28:59,200 --> 00:29:03,520 it doesn't do all that stuff. 463 00:29:03,520 --> 00:29:04,520 Whatever. 464 00:29:04,520 --> 00:29:06,480 I mean I liked that approach from Tonecon. 465 00:29:06,480 --> 00:29:07,480 I know, I know. 466 00:29:07,480 --> 00:29:10,800 It's just the man of faith. 467 00:29:10,800 --> 00:29:16,120 To me, WWE is not like openly, there's no Paul the Vec quote that's like, "Hey, AW sucks 468 00:29:16,120 --> 00:29:17,600 and not going to be renewed." 469 00:29:17,600 --> 00:29:22,360 It's just these reports that are circulating and Tonecon addressed it and I like their 470 00:29:22,360 --> 00:29:25,560 approach that they're not paying any mind sense to it as they should. 471 00:29:25,560 --> 00:29:26,560 Just do your own thing. 472 00:29:26,560 --> 00:29:28,960 Stay in your lane and it's worked out very, very well for AW. 473 00:29:28,960 --> 00:29:33,640 MJF, I believe, was on aerial Hualani this week and he went a little bit more into it basically 474 00:29:33,640 --> 00:29:35,680 saying that those reports are incorrect. 475 00:29:35,680 --> 00:29:37,680 They tried to do this the last time. 476 00:29:37,680 --> 00:29:43,080 Basically, he said that that was Nikon doing it and went a little bit harder into it than 477 00:29:43,080 --> 00:29:45,160 Tonecon did. 478 00:29:45,160 --> 00:29:49,480 Nonetheless, there is some smoke to this, Dr. Trey, I have no idea if there's any fire. 479 00:29:49,480 --> 00:29:54,280 But if Paramount Sky Dance, if they're not renewing AW to their current TV deal, this is not a good 480 00:29:54,280 --> 00:29:55,720 thing for professional wrestling fans. 481 00:29:55,720 --> 00:29:57,640 This is not a good thing for professional wrestling. 482 00:29:57,640 --> 00:29:59,480 We need AW to survive. 483 00:29:59,480 --> 00:30:02,640 We need them to stay on Warner Brothers discovery. 484 00:30:02,640 --> 00:30:06,480 This Paramount Sky Dance is going to be the new owners of Warner Brothers discovery as 485 00:30:06,480 --> 00:30:08,640 my understanding. 486 00:30:08,640 --> 00:30:11,640 If it's true, not good. 487 00:30:11,640 --> 00:30:16,480 If it's not true, this is, I guess, WWE trying to get people to think that AW is less than, 488 00:30:16,480 --> 00:30:17,480 which is weird. 489 00:30:17,480 --> 00:30:21,000 Yeah, I mean, two degree. 490 00:30:21,000 --> 00:30:22,520 They're going to take their... 491 00:30:22,520 --> 00:30:25,520 Everybody takes their little shots over the years. 492 00:30:25,520 --> 00:30:28,520 AW has always been kind of a bit more poking the bear. 493 00:30:28,520 --> 00:30:32,840 WWE's kind of been like, they're inferior, they don't matter. 494 00:30:32,840 --> 00:30:33,840 Type approach. 495 00:30:33,840 --> 00:30:35,160 And that's kind of the part of the course. 496 00:30:35,160 --> 00:30:37,520 So they're like, yeah, they lose their deal. 497 00:30:37,520 --> 00:30:39,520 I don't know if they're going to get another one. 498 00:30:39,520 --> 00:30:42,760 It's like, dude, TNA got a deal. 499 00:30:42,760 --> 00:30:48,720 Right now in the era that we live in, somebody would be like, hey, there's a crap ton of 500 00:30:48,720 --> 00:30:50,240 content. 501 00:30:50,240 --> 00:30:51,240 We can put out. 502 00:30:51,240 --> 00:30:57,000 Amazon, I think Amazon Prime would jump on there trying to get AW if Paramount decided 503 00:30:57,000 --> 00:30:58,000 not to redo. 504 00:30:58,000 --> 00:31:04,960 And Netflix had interests in bringing AEW on board when the Universal deal was first on 505 00:31:04,960 --> 00:31:05,960 there. 506 00:31:05,960 --> 00:31:12,280 So I think even if Paramount Skydance decides not to redo AW, there are other entities out 507 00:31:12,280 --> 00:31:14,360 there that would jump at the chance. 508 00:31:14,360 --> 00:31:15,360 It's not a profession. 509 00:31:15,360 --> 00:31:17,080 It's literally a content thing. 510 00:31:17,080 --> 00:31:18,680 We just need content. 511 00:31:18,680 --> 00:31:26,000 And the fact that AEW can occupy five hours of your network broadcasting every week makes 512 00:31:26,000 --> 00:31:28,000 scheduling your other stuff pretty easy. 513 00:31:28,000 --> 00:31:31,560 So I mean, if you go on Amazon, you go on Road, because there are channels. 514 00:31:31,560 --> 00:31:38,240 I mean, they're broadcasting like men's division to baseball. 515 00:31:38,240 --> 00:31:42,600 I mean, there are markets for products if there's content. 516 00:31:42,600 --> 00:31:49,320 So I am now my brain went to like Tony Khan 316. 517 00:31:49,320 --> 00:31:51,720 I just got a TV deal. 518 00:31:51,720 --> 00:31:55,360 Like the man of faith line just, it cracked me up. 519 00:31:55,360 --> 00:31:56,360 I don't know. 520 00:31:56,360 --> 00:31:59,360 What did he say? 521 00:31:59,360 --> 00:32:01,360 What religion he found faith in? 522 00:32:01,360 --> 00:32:02,360 I'm curious now. 523 00:32:02,360 --> 00:32:05,560 I want to know what God Tony Khan has. 524 00:32:05,560 --> 00:32:09,240 I don't want to make obviously a joke of faith, but he did. 525 00:32:09,240 --> 00:32:11,600 He did give a shout out to Jesus. 526 00:32:11,600 --> 00:32:12,600 Jesus. 527 00:32:12,600 --> 00:32:13,600 So, OK. 528 00:32:13,600 --> 00:32:14,600 Yeah, Jay Z. 529 00:32:14,600 --> 00:32:17,120 Yeah, so he praised Mark of Philip Reck. 530 00:32:17,120 --> 00:32:18,120 He did. 531 00:32:18,120 --> 00:32:19,120 He did. 532 00:32:19,120 --> 00:32:25,280 So, yeah, it was interesting tidbits and news there with everything going on. 533 00:32:25,280 --> 00:32:29,080 I think they're deal expires in 2028. 534 00:32:29,080 --> 00:32:30,960 I think they have like an option here. 535 00:32:30,960 --> 00:32:32,760 So, 2027, 208. 536 00:32:32,760 --> 00:32:37,360 Again, not a good thing if they're coming off of the TNT, TBS platforms. 537 00:32:37,360 --> 00:32:39,360 But we'll see where that goes here. 538 00:32:39,360 --> 00:32:43,760 But it's definitely gained momentum this past week of that story, which I originally just 539 00:32:43,760 --> 00:32:44,760 saw in a song. 540 00:32:44,760 --> 00:32:48,560 I was like, ah, this sounds just like the streets on Twitter, just like making up shit. 541 00:32:48,560 --> 00:32:50,000 And then like Meltzer reported on it. 542 00:32:50,000 --> 00:32:53,520 And I was like, oh, maybe there's something to this. 543 00:32:53,520 --> 00:32:59,680 Something that caught my eye this past week as well in regards to AW, Dr. Treya, I was watching 544 00:32:59,680 --> 00:33:01,480 Saturday night collision. 545 00:33:01,480 --> 00:33:03,640 And I don't remember this match being promoted. 546 00:33:03,640 --> 00:33:07,960 Maybe, no, it was promoted on Dynamite now that I think about it. 547 00:33:07,960 --> 00:33:12,840 For the AW World Championship, in a no count out match, it was Darby Allen defending against 548 00:33:12,840 --> 00:33:14,880 Sammy Guevara. 549 00:33:14,880 --> 00:33:20,640 And Sammy Guevara, who has not been on AW television in like months, has felt like him. 550 00:33:20,640 --> 00:33:26,440 And if he has, it's been sporadic here and there was in a world title match out of nowhere. 551 00:33:26,440 --> 00:33:30,120 And if you had just started watching AW, you're like, why the hell is this guy getting a title 552 00:33:30,120 --> 00:33:31,120 shot? 553 00:33:31,120 --> 00:33:35,800 But if you're like me and you've watched AW since day one or like Dr. Treya and you've watched 554 00:33:35,800 --> 00:33:43,440 AW since day one, you knew that at one time, Sammy Guevara was one of the biggest stars and 555 00:33:43,440 --> 00:33:47,720 names in all lead wrestling and one of the homegrown guys that they were pushing. 556 00:33:47,720 --> 00:33:54,720 And he is referred to as a pillar along with MJF Darby Allen, Jack Perry and Sammy Guevara. 557 00:33:54,720 --> 00:33:59,320 The three other guys that we just talked about are frequently pushed on television. 558 00:33:59,320 --> 00:34:01,120 Jack Perry, MJF and Darby Allen. 559 00:34:01,120 --> 00:34:02,560 Sammy Guevara is not. 560 00:34:02,560 --> 00:34:06,640 Plenty of reports out there as to why he may or may not be pushed anymore or if this is 561 00:34:06,640 --> 00:34:10,200 like he's in time out for, I don't know, three years. 562 00:34:10,200 --> 00:34:16,160 I think he was injured for a period of time, but he developed a bad attitude according 563 00:34:16,160 --> 00:34:17,160 to reports. 564 00:34:17,160 --> 00:34:18,160 He's never seen it. 565 00:34:18,160 --> 00:34:20,520 We don't have no idea if this is factual or not. 566 00:34:20,520 --> 00:34:24,600 But there was a story, I guess in like 2020-21 where he'd quit AW. 567 00:34:24,600 --> 00:34:29,880 I think he was working with the inner circle of Chris Jericho and he was supposed to go 568 00:34:29,880 --> 00:34:33,600 over to TNA and work there for a little bit and really pushed the angle. 569 00:34:33,600 --> 00:34:39,720 And it stopped abruptly because he like no showed or he was an asshole and just ended right 570 00:34:39,720 --> 00:34:40,720 there. 571 00:34:40,720 --> 00:34:42,440 And then you heard these reports about Sammy doing stuff. 572 00:34:42,440 --> 00:34:45,480 He's been suspended before for things that he said online. 573 00:34:45,480 --> 00:34:49,520 He's been suspended before for things that he did in matches like I think he still wrestled 574 00:34:49,520 --> 00:34:55,040 with the concussion, the got him in trouble and basically AW took the ball out of his hands. 575 00:34:55,040 --> 00:34:57,560 And we've seen this with people in the past. 576 00:34:57,560 --> 00:35:01,320 So I'm not sure to talk about the match itself because I thought the match was good. 577 00:35:01,320 --> 00:35:04,120 Sammy had a couple of points where it looked like he could have won the match. 578 00:35:04,120 --> 00:35:07,960 He had the four and O record on Darby Allen which was something I think should have been 579 00:35:07,960 --> 00:35:12,080 hyped a lot more leading up to that match. 580 00:35:12,080 --> 00:35:16,920 And all I could think about is who is your favorite forgotten AW star doctor because we just 581 00:35:16,920 --> 00:35:19,920 had Sammy Kavar in an AW World Championship match. 582 00:35:19,920 --> 00:35:22,000 To me there are some other names out there. 583 00:35:22,000 --> 00:35:23,600 Eddie Kingston right? 584 00:35:23,600 --> 00:35:25,520 Eddie was one of the most popular guys. 585 00:35:25,520 --> 00:35:28,440 He's working R.O.A. right now with Ortiz I believe. 586 00:35:28,440 --> 00:35:29,600 Britt Baker. 587 00:35:29,600 --> 00:35:33,600 She had a stroke, came back, wrestled Mercedes, had some attitude. 588 00:35:33,600 --> 00:35:36,120 Issue is reportedly was taken off television. 589 00:35:36,120 --> 00:35:38,880 She hasn't been on TV in almost like two years. 590 00:35:38,880 --> 00:35:43,120 He returned from being gone for a while. 591 00:35:43,120 --> 00:35:45,480 He filled the American Gladiators last summer. 592 00:35:45,480 --> 00:35:47,480 Joins Adolton, John Calis family. 593 00:35:47,480 --> 00:35:51,880 And I think tears his bicep like a week or two later and he has been gone this entire time 594 00:35:51,880 --> 00:35:52,960 of injury. 595 00:35:52,960 --> 00:35:55,960 There's been Camille who is working with Mercedes Monet. 596 00:35:55,960 --> 00:36:00,280 She came back recently to wrestle Willow Nightingale but we haven't seen her since. 597 00:36:00,280 --> 00:36:04,480 Butcher and the Blade, a tag team that was featured very early in A and A that we haven't 598 00:36:04,480 --> 00:36:06,160 seen in years. 599 00:36:06,160 --> 00:36:12,440 Naila Rose, R.O.A. these two women were like number one and number two first A.W. women's 600 00:36:12,440 --> 00:36:13,440 world champions. 601 00:36:13,440 --> 00:36:18,080 I think they wrestled in the finals to crown the first ever A.W. women's world champion. 602 00:36:18,080 --> 00:36:19,080 And they like come and go. 603 00:36:19,080 --> 00:36:21,480 I haven't seen Naila Rose in a long time. 604 00:36:21,480 --> 00:36:24,480 Rio pops up occasionally and then goes away for a while. 605 00:36:24,480 --> 00:36:26,880 Like to me it's like crazy. 606 00:36:26,880 --> 00:36:31,360 If you watched A.W.6 years ago, seven years ago when they first launched the dark order. 607 00:36:31,360 --> 00:36:34,360 Dark order is barely on television in A.W.A. 608 00:36:34,360 --> 00:36:40,440 Johnny Hungie walked by MJF this past week when they did that bald angle for Dynamite. 609 00:36:40,440 --> 00:36:41,760 And then lastly Rick Flair. 610 00:36:41,760 --> 00:36:44,440 Like Rick Flair is still signed to A.W. 611 00:36:44,440 --> 00:36:47,600 He hasn't been on television for A.W. in months. 612 00:36:47,600 --> 00:36:51,960 So we know A.W. shells a lot of folks and they'll still continue to pay them and then it's 613 00:36:51,960 --> 00:36:55,600 basically like we're just going to write out your contract at this point. 614 00:36:55,600 --> 00:36:59,440 They also do a very shitty job of letting fans know when somebody's injured. 615 00:36:59,440 --> 00:37:02,920 But with Sammy Guevara in the main event of Dr. Trey, I just list a bunch of names. 616 00:37:02,920 --> 00:37:07,160 Who are some of your forgotten A.W. stars that you liked watching, especially those early 617 00:37:07,160 --> 00:37:09,160 days of A.W. 618 00:37:09,160 --> 00:37:10,840 Jake the snake robberts. 619 00:37:10,840 --> 00:37:12,240 I love when good luck. 620 00:37:12,240 --> 00:37:13,240 Red debuted. 621 00:37:13,240 --> 00:37:16,160 Yeah, I was like, oh God, we couldn't get Jake robbers on TV. 622 00:37:16,160 --> 00:37:19,560 Like he could literally, in my head, he could be the answer to Paul Heyman. 623 00:37:19,560 --> 00:37:20,880 His promos are fantastic. 624 00:37:20,880 --> 00:37:25,400 And then they just kind of let it go and let it slide. 625 00:37:25,400 --> 00:37:27,400 Remember he was with LFI? 626 00:37:27,400 --> 00:37:28,400 Yeah. 627 00:37:28,400 --> 00:37:29,400 Yeah. 628 00:37:29,400 --> 00:37:32,840 Well, wasn't there that weird tray where he had Lance Archer and then he traded? 629 00:37:32,840 --> 00:37:33,840 He made a tray. 630 00:37:33,840 --> 00:37:34,840 Lance Archer, he made a training. 631 00:37:34,840 --> 00:37:38,600 That's how he got LFI and then he's not with LFI. 632 00:37:38,600 --> 00:37:43,440 So that was a big one. 633 00:37:43,440 --> 00:37:50,080 There was the Japanese girl in between Rio and Minasura Carr, like the one that had the 634 00:37:50,080 --> 00:37:52,080 Kendo stick all the time. 635 00:37:52,080 --> 00:37:54,480 He cares, he cares, he cares, she does? 636 00:37:54,480 --> 00:37:55,480 He cares, she does. 637 00:37:55,480 --> 00:37:57,640 Yeah, she still pops up every now and then. 638 00:37:57,640 --> 00:37:59,680 She's on a match on double or nothing. 639 00:37:59,680 --> 00:38:04,080 Oh, okay, well, for a while, we hadn't seen her like six months. 640 00:38:04,080 --> 00:38:08,080 It is kind of where they push somebody then they disappear. 641 00:38:08,080 --> 00:38:11,280 I mean, you can go into the people that have been let go. 642 00:38:11,280 --> 00:38:18,520 Like I was never a big Joey Janela fan, but right now, we really haven't seen much 643 00:38:18,520 --> 00:38:28,600 from the Kip Sabian, Nick Wayne stuff since that whole, the patriarchy kind of broke apart. 644 00:38:28,600 --> 00:38:33,760 No, Nick Wayne just lost the ring of honor television title, but we really haven't seen them on 645 00:38:33,760 --> 00:38:34,760 AEW tell. 646 00:38:34,760 --> 00:38:38,360 We see more, we have seen more Penelope for this year than Kip Sabian really. 647 00:38:38,360 --> 00:38:39,360 Yeah. 648 00:38:39,360 --> 00:38:42,040 Which is kind of shocking. 649 00:38:42,040 --> 00:38:44,800 You know, I can bring out like a Joey Janela. 650 00:38:44,800 --> 00:38:45,800 Oh, what was her now? 651 00:38:45,800 --> 00:38:50,840 I kept trying to think of the girl, the trans girl with the blonde, the black girl, the 652 00:38:50,840 --> 00:38:53,760 blonde hair. 653 00:38:53,760 --> 00:38:54,760 The concrete rose. 654 00:38:54,760 --> 00:38:55,760 Oh, Naila Rose. 655 00:38:55,760 --> 00:39:02,760 No, no, not Naila Rose, the smaller one, smaller black girl, blonde hair. 656 00:39:02,760 --> 00:39:05,760 Oh, what's your name? 657 00:39:05,760 --> 00:39:06,760 Yeah. 658 00:39:06,760 --> 00:39:10,560 No longer with, no longer with AW. 659 00:39:10,560 --> 00:39:11,960 Yes, I know where you're talking about. 660 00:39:11,960 --> 00:39:13,760 There are some of the people that we let go from AW. 661 00:39:13,760 --> 00:39:19,040 I mean, you could bring in the Marcos stunts of the world, but really, like to me, like 662 00:39:19,040 --> 00:39:20,360 you named off the big ones to me. 663 00:39:20,360 --> 00:39:23,040 Like as you were running through your list, I'm like every time you were naming one, like 664 00:39:23,040 --> 00:39:25,680 that's one, yep, that's one. 665 00:39:25,680 --> 00:39:31,000 I mean, the dark order may, I mean, the Brody Lee's passing kind of killed, sorry, that sounds 666 00:39:31,000 --> 00:39:33,560 bad, but kind of ruined the dark order. 667 00:39:33,560 --> 00:39:38,760 Like they were on pace to be super huge in AW, then losing Brody Lee, you just kind of way 668 00:39:38,760 --> 00:39:41,560 like who's the focal point? 669 00:39:41,560 --> 00:39:44,520 Like you never even see Kenny Omega talking to them anymore for a while. 670 00:39:44,520 --> 00:39:51,000 I'm not getting a mega hangman page talking to him and that was kind of a thing for a while. 671 00:39:51,000 --> 00:39:56,600 Yeah, it is weird to me that they do this where they bring somebody up, they push them really 672 00:39:56,600 --> 00:40:01,240 hard, then they fall by the wayside and then they just pay them. 673 00:40:01,240 --> 00:40:04,920 And that to me is like, if you're not going to use somebody, let them go. 674 00:40:04,920 --> 00:40:10,200 You know, like I love Shane Taylor and he's really gay to Ring of Honor, you know, all 675 00:40:10,200 --> 00:40:17,160 the time and we never see him on, we've seldom see Ring of Shane Taylor promotions on, 676 00:40:17,160 --> 00:40:20,720 you know, dynamite or collision. 677 00:40:20,720 --> 00:40:26,200 Like it is like telling Shane Taylor promotions against the Hercinnickit wouldn't be fun. 678 00:40:26,200 --> 00:40:32,200 Or the Hercinnickit absorbing Shane Taylor promotions wouldn't be fun. 679 00:40:32,200 --> 00:40:37,600 But yeah, like it's it is kind of like I'm sitting there thinking about like what action figures 680 00:40:37,600 --> 00:40:41,640 thunder rosa we don't, I mean we see her now a little bit more but then she was out injured. 681 00:40:41,640 --> 00:40:46,800 But I'm thinking of like all the action figures I see in Walmart or in Target for AW and 682 00:40:46,800 --> 00:40:49,520 like half them are people we haven't seen. 683 00:40:49,520 --> 00:40:55,520 I've seen war glowing Camille more on American gladiators over the last month than we've seen 684 00:40:55,520 --> 00:40:58,520 the last year on AW television. 685 00:40:58,520 --> 00:41:05,040 Of course it is also nice to watch Rick letters as the Rick Boog's still being entertaining. 686 00:41:05,040 --> 00:41:09,160 Yeah, it's it just got me thinking it's like Sammy Guevara, there's all these forgotten 687 00:41:09,160 --> 00:41:14,040 star some of them are on our way to know we don't even know about or they're so infrequently 688 00:41:14,040 --> 00:41:18,960 used on AW television and it was just like it's something I've always like man remember 689 00:41:18,960 --> 00:41:22,720 like I would never have figured Sammy Guevara and Bert Baker would be bit players in 690 00:41:22,720 --> 00:41:26,760 all the wrestling right now like you just think that they would be like first ballot hall 691 00:41:26,760 --> 00:41:29,000 of famous for that company. 692 00:41:29,000 --> 00:41:32,240 Was it it wasn't it Sammy who got it wasn't Sammy was it one of the ones who got into 693 00:41:32,240 --> 00:41:33,720 a fight with Andrade? 694 00:41:33,720 --> 00:41:36,760 I believe so yeah you're right and that's one of the other things that came up. 695 00:41:36,760 --> 00:41:38,040 That was where his bench came from yeah. 696 00:41:38,040 --> 00:41:39,600 He's been suspended multiple times. 697 00:41:39,600 --> 00:41:45,440 Oh yeah I mean he's his career path early on an AW is very reminiscent of Randy Orton 698 00:41:45,440 --> 00:41:51,440 in the early in his early days of WWE whereas like injury and suspension kind of kept killing 699 00:41:51,440 --> 00:41:56,720 momentum but they just WWE just kind of kept trusting Randy maybe a little bit more than 700 00:41:56,720 --> 00:42:03,520 what and then plus Cody leaving that was Sammy's guy also and Cody always had Sammy's back 701 00:42:03,520 --> 00:42:08,080 and when Cody left I don't think there's anybody there who really championed the Sammy 702 00:42:08,080 --> 00:42:09,080 Guevara cause. 703 00:42:09,080 --> 00:42:14,800 Yeah there could be some of that for sure it's it's just odd I mean so many talented people 704 00:42:14,800 --> 00:42:19,880 not being really utilized when they were featured so heavily I mean there's you've heard things 705 00:42:19,880 --> 00:42:24,320 off the record on the record that basically there's an island of toys that Tony Khan likes 706 00:42:24,320 --> 00:42:28,320 to play with and if you watch Dynamite in collision each week you know who those are and I 707 00:42:28,320 --> 00:42:34,480 love Tomasso Champa but Champazam TV all the time like you see it Devon Dominion it's there's 708 00:42:34,480 --> 00:42:40,400 a group of people he loves to watch the conglomeration Mark Briscoe and those are who is being featured 709 00:42:40,400 --> 00:42:47,280 while some get regulated to R.O.H. which I don't watch and then some get regulated to the 710 00:42:47,280 --> 00:42:51,120 sidelines whether they're injured or just don't want to be used anymore then their contract 711 00:42:51,120 --> 00:42:57,040 runs out so feel free to chime in over at patreon.com/srtupodcast with some of your favorite 712 00:42:57,040 --> 00:43:04,280 quote forgotten AW stars under this available downloaded podcast and then lastly here Dr. 713 00:43:04,280 --> 00:43:09,320 Trey this Sunday from Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens New York we do have AW double or nothing 714 00:43:09,320 --> 00:43:14,680 we have Darby Allen defending the AW World Championship in a title versus hair match against MJF 715 00:43:14,680 --> 00:43:18,440 Teclid offends the AW Women's World Championship in a four-way match against Akar as she 716 00:43:18,440 --> 00:43:23,000 did Jamie Hayder and Chris Stattlander Kazitskyo Khan offends the AW International Championship against 717 00:43:23,000 --> 00:43:29,080 Kenosuke Tikeshka FTR offends the AW World Tag Team Championship in an Iquate Street fight against 718 00:43:29,080 --> 00:43:35,800 Cop and Cage if Cop and Cage lose they must to span as a team if I never tag ever again John 719 00:43:35,800 --> 00:43:41,240 Moxley defense call the AW Continental Championship against Kyle O'Reilly in a no-time women match 720 00:43:41,240 --> 00:43:45,560 Swarth Strickland versus Bandino in an Owen Hart Foundation tournament match Willosper versus 721 00:43:45,560 --> 00:43:50,760 Smow Jones Owen Hart Foundation tournament match Jericho Jack Perry Kenny Omega Matchax and 722 00:43:50,760 --> 00:43:56,600 Nitchaxe in Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin take on Ricochet Bishop Khan Toa Leona 723 00:43:57,320 --> 00:44:02,440 Mark Davis and three partners from the Don Calls family in a stadium-stay of Pee match 724 00:44:02,440 --> 00:44:07,560 a Thea versus Mina Shirakawa and women's Owen Hart match divine Dominion defend their 725 00:44:07,560 --> 00:44:12,680 they have a five-minute tag team eliminate or match against Zeta Steele and Viva Van 726 00:44:12,680 --> 00:44:17,320 is stealing Van last five minutes they earn a future AW Women's World Tag Team Championship match 727 00:44:17,320 --> 00:44:21,480 Dr. Shrey what matches are you looking most forward to for AW double or nothing? 728 00:44:21,480 --> 00:44:28,040 I mean off the top of the Darby on MJF match because I was too much of a day like I saw people 729 00:44:28,040 --> 00:44:34,360 posting this like Darby's had what like six seven title defenses in his 50 days as champion and then 730 00:44:34,360 --> 00:44:41,720 you see Cody Cody's had one in 73 Romans had one in like 16 I'm like yeah but he defended against 731 00:44:41,720 --> 00:44:47,720 Sammy Guevara that half of you didn't even know it's still in AEW like it's not always a quantity 732 00:44:47,720 --> 00:44:53,240 of a quality so that that makes me wonder like hey are we putting all these title defenses for Darby 733 00:44:53,240 --> 00:44:59,240 so that way of MJF wins you can still say Darby had six successful title defenses 734 00:44:59,240 --> 00:45:04,680 so I'm interested to see how that goes and then I'm also just like if they shave MJF's head 735 00:45:04,680 --> 00:45:10,280 like I am kind of interested to see if that how that plays out uh stadium-stampied matches are 736 00:45:10,280 --> 00:45:18,600 always fun I do like this like yeah it's uh the uh oh ricochet you know and his guys 737 00:45:18,600 --> 00:45:22,440 Mark Davis and then we don't know who the other couple guys are going to be like we're not sure 738 00:45:22,440 --> 00:45:27,080 but they'll be there they'll be two guys from down Calis has 27 people in his family so it's easy to 739 00:45:27,080 --> 00:45:34,440 pick two third cousins to be involved in the match. Oh Cotta Tikeshta I'm excited for this match 740 00:45:34,440 --> 00:45:38,280 because I think this is where Tikeshta comes down top and then you can move O'Cotta to the top of 741 00:45:38,280 --> 00:45:43,800 the card and see how that goes uh Moxley and O'Reilly I'm excited about because I'm just glad they 742 00:45:43,800 --> 00:45:49,720 remember that O'Reilly has not or Moxley hasn't defeated Kyle if they were able to bring that back up 743 00:45:49,720 --> 00:45:56,280 so except for those um the women's foray match I'm interested in because is this a way for them 744 00:45:56,280 --> 00:46:02,280 to take the belt off that claw and put it on somebody else without feck maloosing or technical losing 745 00:46:02,280 --> 00:46:07,480 so that's interesting to me uh just overall I think it's a really really solid car from top to bottom 746 00:46:07,480 --> 00:46:12,520 I mean not even talking about Swarov and Van Dito which I don't I don't get those guys to wrestle any time 747 00:46:12,520 --> 00:46:17,640 I don't care what the reason is those guys are health competitors so just overall top to bottom 748 00:46:17,640 --> 00:46:23,720 really really solid car and arguably maybe better than Sennheiss main event and clash nearly combined 749 00:46:23,720 --> 00:46:29,480 interesting interesting thoughts are Dr. Treyah I'm excited for AW double or nothing this weekend 750 00:46:29,480 --> 00:46:35,640 obviously my biggest issue with them and the maybe this is the I could be in the minor in this 751 00:46:35,640 --> 00:46:40,600 or maybe it's ADHD Jeff here just way too many matches I mean I don't need to watch a four hour 752 00:46:40,600 --> 00:46:45,080 wrestling pay-per-view I mean I think two and a half to three hours a good sweet spot give me six 753 00:46:45,080 --> 00:46:49,400 solid matches and I'm locked in um the rest of the stuff you could sprinkle on collision or dine 754 00:46:49,400 --> 00:46:56,040 a mic quite honestly so I mean it's uh it's a loaded car that's what AW does that's what they love to do 755 00:46:56,040 --> 00:47:01,560 and more power to them and and they have a base that really enjoys that and and cannot come for it 756 00:47:01,560 --> 00:47:05,640 not necessarily my cup of tea but when you look at the card it's like they're bringing it and AW has 757 00:47:05,640 --> 00:47:10,520 been bringing it all year with the creator really the less six seven eight months have been fantastic 758 00:47:10,520 --> 00:47:15,560 Darry versus MJF is a big one can't wait to see that one O'Cottah versus to Kesha is a big one 759 00:47:15,560 --> 00:47:22,840 FTR Copen Christian looking forward to Moxley and Kyle Riley again Osprey and Joe again 760 00:47:22,840 --> 00:47:29,240 Swerven Van Dito the stadium stampede I mean top down I mean this this this is a great card and I'm 761 00:47:29,240 --> 00:47:34,200 excited for it so AW double or nothing this Sunday from Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens New York 762
