- 0:45This is Week 13, The Battle for Truth. Let's
- 0:51begin. Welcome family, back to Voices of Life,
- 0:55a ministry of the Church for Life. I'm Pastor
- 0:57David. We are in Week 13 of America After 250.
- 1:01Today we enter one of the most urgent subjects
- 1:04of our generation. The battle for truth. Ephesians
- 1:086 verse 14 declares, Stand therefore, having
- 1:13girded your waist with truth, having put the
- 1:16breastplate of righteousness. Truth is not a
- 1:19concept. It is a weapon. It is the first piece
- 1:22of armor in believer's life because everything
- 1:25else depends on it. We are living in a time when
- 1:28truth is being refined, diluted, and distorted.
- 1:33Culture calls opinion, Truth. Emotion calls preference
- 1:37truth. Technology calls data truth. But scripture
- 1:41calls Christ truth. The battle for truth is not
- 1:46fought in headlines. It is fought in hearts.
- 1:48It is not fought in algorithms. It is fought
- 1:51in convictions. It is not fought in politics.
- 1:55It is fought in spirit. Truth does not evolve.
- 2:00It endures. It does not bend to culture. It defines
- 2:05culture. It does not depend on consensus. It
- 2:09depends on God. In every generation, truth has
- 2:11been challenged, but truth has never been defeated.
- 2:15Truth is eternal because it originates in the
- 2:19eternal God. It is not created by man. It is
- 2:21revealed by the Spirit. It is not discovered
- 2:27through debate. It is discerned through revelation.
- 2:31When believers understand that truth is not negotiable,
- 2:36they stop chasing popularity and start pursuing
- 2:40purity. What is the enemy's strategy here? The
- 2:45enemy does not destroy truth. He or she distorts
- 2:48it. They don't erase the scripture. They twist
- 2:52it. They don't silence believers. They confuse
- 2:55them. From Eden to today, the enemy's question
- 2:59has always been the same. Did God really say?
- 3:03That question is the seed of deception. It undermines
- 3:08confidence in God's word. It replaces revelation
- 3:11with speculation. And it replaces conviction
- 3:14with confusion. The enemy's strategy is subtle,
- 3:18to make lies sound logical and truth sound extreme.
- 3:22So the armor of truth is girded for battle. Ephesians
- 3:286 verse 14 begins with, the command to stand
- 3:32before we fight we must stand before we speak
- 3:36we must stand before we lead we must stand to
- 3:44be girded with truth means to be anchored in
- 3:48conviction it means that truth holds everything
- 3:52else together our righteousness our peace our
- 3:54faith and our salvation without truth the armor
- 3:58falls apart without truth the believer collapses
- 4:01under pressure truth is the belt that keeps the
- 4:04soul steady in battle and here's some battlefield
- 4:09information we are living in an age of information
- 4:12overload but information is not the same as revelation
- 4:15every day millions of voices compete for your
- 4:18attention news social media entertainment and
- 4:21opinion all claim authority but the only one
- 4:25voice carries eternal truth, and that is the
- 4:28voice of God. The battlefield of truth today
- 4:31is digital. It is fought in feeds, headlines,
- 4:36algorithms. It is fought in classrooms, boardrooms,
- 4:40and living rooms. Believers must learn to discern
- 4:43truth amid the noise, to filter information through
- 4:46scripture, to measure every claim against the
- 4:50word of God. And here is the cost of truth. Standing
- 4:55when others fall. Truth always costs something.
- 5:00It costs comfort. It costs popularity. It costs
- 5:02acceptance. But truth also brings reward, peace,
- 5:05strength, credibility, and eternal life. When
- 5:09believers stand for truth, they may lose some
- 5:11followers, but they'll gain favor. They may lose
- 5:15applause, but they'll gain authority. Standing
- 5:18for the truth is not easy, but it's absolutely
- 5:21necessary. Truth goes together with love. It's
- 5:26the balance of grace. Truth without love becomes
- 5:29harsh. Love without truth becomes hollow. Jesus
- 5:33embodied both. He spoke with compassion. He loved
- 5:38people without compromising conviction. Believers
- 5:41must learn to speak truth and love. Not to win
- 5:44arguments, but to win hearts. Truth is not a
- 5:47weapon to wound. It is a light to heal. And the
- 5:52church must serve as the pillar of truth. 1 Timothy
- 5:583 verse 15 calls the church the pillar and the
- 6:03foundation of truth. That means the church is
- 6:06not just a gathering, it is a guardian. The church
- 6:10must protect truth from distortion. It must preach
- 6:12truth without apology. It must live truth without
- 6:17hypocrisy. When the church compromises truth,
- 6:21Culture collapses under confusion. The church
- 6:24must rise again as a pillar of truth, strong,
- 6:27steady, and spirit -filled. Which brings us to
- 6:32truth in action, living what we believe. Truth
- 6:37is not proven by debate. It is proven by behavior.
- 6:40It is not measured by words. It's measured by
- 6:43works. When believers live truth, they become...
- 6:47living testimonies. Their integrity becomes their
- 6:50witness. Their consistency becomes their credibility.
- 6:54Truth must move from confession to conduct, from
- 6:57belief to behavior, and from doctrine to demonstration.
- 7:01Let's move into the truth and culture, conflict
- 7:06and conviction. Let's explore the cultural battlefield,
- 7:11the place where truth must confront confusion.
- 7:15We are living in a generation where truth is
- 7:17no longer measured by scripture, but by sentiment.
- 7:20Where conviction is replaced by consensus. Where
- 7:24clarity is replaced by complexity. And where
- 7:27moral absolutes are replaced by emotional preferences.
- 7:30Culture has become a marketplace for competing
- 7:33truths. Each voice claiming the authority. Each
- 7:37ideology demanding allegiance. Each narrative
- 7:40insisting it is the one that matters. But truth
- 7:44is not determined by volume. It is determined
- 7:47by God. Truth does not compete. It stands. Truth
- 7:52does not evolve. It endures. Truth does not need
- 7:57permission. It speaks with eternal authority.
- 7:59The believer must learn to walk through cultural
- 8:02confusion with spiritual clarity to recognize
- 8:06that not every loud voice is a true voice. Not
- 8:11every popular idea is a righteous one. Not every
- 8:15cultural trend is a biblical truth. Truth is
- 8:19the compass that keeps the believer steady in
- 8:23a world spinning in confusion. Let's enter the
- 8:27war of the words. The language is a battlefield.
- 8:31The battle for truth is often fought through
- 8:34language. Words shape perception. Words influence
- 8:37emotion. And words redefine reality. has learned
- 8:42to weaponize language, to rename sin as a struggle,
- 8:46to rename rebellion as an authenticity, to rename
- 8:50confusion as identity, to reshape deception as
- 8:55freedom. When language is corrupted, truth becomes
- 8:58clouded. When definitions shift, convictions
- 9:02weaken. When words lose meaning, morality. loses
- 9:06foundation. This is why scripture anchors truth
- 9:09in unchanging language. God does not redefine
- 9:13righteousness. He does not update holiness. He
- 9:17does not revise morality. Believers must reclaim
- 9:21biblical language, speaking with clarity, teaching
- 9:25with conviction, and refusing to let culture
- 9:29rewrite what God has already defined. And I understand.
- 9:36There's a pressure to conform because there's
- 9:40truth under social influence. And truth is pressure,
- 9:46not from enemies, but from expectations. Social
- 9:50pressure demands conformity. Digital pressure
- 9:54demands silence. Cultural pressure demands compromise.
- 9:58Well, believers today face a unique challenge
- 10:01to stand for truth in environments where truth
- 10:04is unpopular, where conviction is mocked, and
- 10:07where righteousness is labeled extreme. But scripture
- 10:11warns us, do not be conformed to this world.
- 10:16Truth cannot conform to culture. Truth cannot
- 10:19bow to pressure. And truth cannot be reshaped
- 10:24to fit the current trends. Standing for truth
- 10:28may cost acceptance, but it preserves your identity.
- 10:31It preserves everything that's about you. It's
- 10:35the cost of comfort sometimes, but it strengthens
- 10:39your character. It may cost applause, but it
- 10:43gains eternal approval, which is more important.
- 10:47Sometimes there is a seduction of half -truths.
- 10:51The enemy rarely uses blatant lies, although...
- 10:55I can argue that point sometimes. But they use
- 10:58half -truths. They start out with something or
- 11:01they take a part of something and twist it, turn
- 11:04it, and add their reflections to it. A half -truth
- 11:08is dangerous because it sounds right, feels right,
- 11:11and appears right. But it does not fully right.
- 11:15Half -truths distort scripture, weaken conviction,
- 11:19confuse believers, and create spiritual instability.
- 11:23A half -truth is like a cracked foundation. It
- 11:28looks solid until pressure exposes the weakness.
- 11:31Believers must learn to test every idea, every
- 11:35teaching, every claim against the full counsel
- 11:38of God's word. Truth is not partial, it's complete.
- 11:42Truth is not convenient, it's consistent. Truth
- 11:45is not flexible, it is fixed. So let's talk about
- 11:49truth and the media. navigating the noise. And
- 11:53this applies to all media. This applies to left
- 11:57-wing media, right -wing media, podcasts, radio
- 12:01shows, everything. There's no one that's better
- 12:05than the other. There are some that are more
- 12:08reflective of the truth and let you decide. And
- 12:12there's others that love to color everything
- 12:13up, which is calling the majority. So let's start
- 12:17with this. Media has become one of the largest
- 12:20battlegrounds for truth. It shapes narratives.
- 12:22It amplifies emotion. It influences perception.
- 12:26It gets people all riled up. It gets people to
- 12:28start doing protests about something that may
- 12:32not even be true. But yet, people engage in that
- 12:36and they don't try to find the facts. But media
- 12:40is not neutral. It is curated, filtered, edited,
- 12:45and engineered. to produce the reaction. It's
- 12:48sensationalized. That is not what our media was
- 12:51supposed to do. In our Constitution, they were
- 12:52supposed to report the news and that's it. They're
- 12:55not supposed to color it or distort it or make
- 13:00it into something it's not. But they do. And
- 13:02they hide behind our First Amendment. And I won't
- 13:05say rightly so because when you report the truth,
- 13:10you're doing the right thing. When you color
- 13:13the truth, and make it a half truth or a partial
- 13:16truth or an unrecognizable truth you're doing
- 13:20no favors you're hurting people you're hurting
- 13:23the country so believers must learn to navigate
- 13:26media with discernment that's your filter that's
- 13:30like what is real what is not what is made up
- 13:35to recognize bias to identify manipulation to
- 13:40filter information through scripture to avoid
- 13:43emotional traps And to refuse to let the media
- 13:46define morality. Truth is not found in headlines.
- 13:51It is found in the word of God. Truth in relationships.
- 13:56Let's talk about that. Holding conviction with
- 14:00compassion. And relationships with other people
- 14:05are so important. Your friendships, your wives,
- 14:10your girlfriends, your business associates, colleagues.
- 14:16All these relationships are important and the
- 14:18truth must be found in all these relationships.
- 14:23Truth is not only a cultural battle, it is a
- 14:26relational battle. Many believers struggle to
- 14:28hold truth in relationships where disagreements
- 14:31exist, where fear of conflict, fear of rejection,
- 14:35fear of misunderstanding. But truth must be held
- 14:37with compassion, not aggression. Truth is not
- 14:41a hammer, it is a light. Truth is not a weapon.
- 14:44it is a guide truth is not meant to destroy it's
- 14:46meant to deliver believers must learn to speak
- 14:50truth gently to stand firmly without hostility
- 14:54to love deeply without compromise and to reflect
- 14:58christ even in disagreement and that sometimes
- 15:02is hard because i know all these persons i'm
- 15:05just going to be very direct with you and tell
- 15:06you the truth and that might hurt somebody i
- 15:09found in years past trying to soften something
- 15:12That kind of makes a half -truth if you don't
- 15:15tell the whole thing. So where do you go with
- 15:18that? But then on the other hand, am I being
- 15:20too harsh? Well, I think it depends on the relationship
- 15:24you have with that other individual. And if they
- 15:27really know you and they know that you're a frank
- 15:29speaker and you just say, call it as it is, they
- 15:33may not always like, they may not always agree,
- 15:36but they'll respect you for who you are. But
- 15:40it should never be. said in anger. It should
- 15:43never be said with malice. So that's what I think
- 15:48the main difference is, as far as keeping it
- 15:50without hostility. Now the church's responsibility
- 15:54is guarding the standard of truth. Because the
- 15:59church is not just a gathering, it is a guardian
- 16:02of truth. When the church compromises truth,
- 16:05culture collapses under confusion. When the church
- 16:09softens the truth, believers weaken under pressure.
- 16:12When the church abandons the truth, the next
- 16:15generation inherits deception. The church must
- 16:18preach truth boldly, teach truth consistently,
- 16:23defend truth courageously, and live truth visibly.
- 16:27Truth must be proclaimed from the pulpits, practiced
- 16:31in homes, and protected in hearts. I've gone
- 16:36to a lot of services in my lifetime. Sometimes
- 16:39I've heard the preacher get into politics or
- 16:43get into a subject of something that is off from
- 16:48the church's purview. But I always respected
- 16:53what they said. I just never or I didn't always
- 16:56agree with it. And it's okay. It's okay to disagree
- 16:59with something. But even a pastor, a father,
- 17:02a reverend should never use their position. to
- 17:08try to influence, I'm going to say their flock,
- 17:11their congregation, into political ideologies
- 17:16that they believe and want to impress upon them.
- 17:21They could report something. They could report
- 17:24anything they want that's the truth. But let
- 17:27people make their own decisions. Let people examine
- 17:31and discern what that information really means
- 17:34to them. Because if we were all alike, if we
- 17:37all thought the same way, We'd have a very agreeable
- 17:41society, but how boring would that be? How dull
- 17:46would it be? And what a dreary life we would
- 17:50all have. That's why God gave us our individuality.
- 17:55God gave us our identity. And that is very important,
- 18:01is that you maintain and keep your identity.
- 18:04When we talk about truth and identity, who we
- 18:08are in Christ. Because identity is one of the
- 18:11greatest battlegrounds for truth. Culture tells
- 18:14people to define themselves. Scripture tells
- 18:17believers to deny themselves. Culture says identity
- 18:21is discovered internally. Scripture says identity
- 18:25is received from Christ. Truth reveals who we
- 18:29are. Redeemed, chosen, called, forgiven, and
- 18:34transformed. When believers anchor identity in
- 18:37Christ, they become immune to cultural confusion.
- 18:40They stop searching for validation. They stop
- 18:43chasing for acceptance. They stop redefining
- 18:47themselves through emotion. Truth stabilizes
- 18:52identity, and identity strengthens your conviction.
- 18:56You have to know who you are. You have to accept
- 19:00who you are. We all have strengths. We all have
- 19:04weaknesses. We all have faults. And that's okay.
- 19:09That doesn't mean we couldn't improve on them.
- 19:12But no matter what, we accept ourselves for who
- 19:15we are. And yeah, we may look at someone else
- 19:18and say, God, I would really like to be like
- 19:20this person. And we may say that. And we may
- 19:26strive to be like that person. But at the end
- 19:30of the day, we are still who we are. Yep, a lot
- 19:35of times people can put together a persona and
- 19:38act a certain way. And if they truly have changed,
- 19:43that will become their regular routine. If it's
- 19:47just a false persona, it'll go away. It won't
- 19:51last long. A few months, a few weeks, depends.
- 19:55And the truth comes back out. So, moving on.
- 20:00Let's talk about truth as a lifestyle because
- 20:02living what we believe is truth is not proven
- 20:05by debate. It's proven by your lifestyle, how
- 20:07you live. A believer's life is the loudest sermon
- 20:11they will ever preach. Integrity validates truth.
- 20:14Consistency strengthens truth. And obedience
- 20:16demonstrates truth. Truth must move from belief
- 20:21to behavior, from confession to conduct. and
- 20:24from doctrine to demonstration. When believers
- 20:27live truth, they become living testimonies in
- 20:30a world desperate for authenticity. You have
- 20:34to be you. You have to be genuine. Don't try
- 20:36to be something you're not. Don't try to impress
- 20:38people with fancy words, costumes, sayings, slogans.
- 20:44Be you. That's what counts. That's more important
- 20:48than anything else is being you. So we're moving
- 20:53on. To truth as a spiritual armor. The spiritual
- 20:59dimension of the battle for truth. Because truth
- 21:03is not only cultural, emotional, or intellectual,
- 21:06but truth is spiritual armor. Ephesians 6 does
- 21:10not begin with strategy, it begins with standing.
- 21:13And the first piece of armor God gives a believer
- 21:17is truth. Truth is the belt that holds everything
- 21:21else together. Truth stabilizes righteousness.
- 21:24Truth strengthens faith. Truth protects the heart.
- 21:28And truth anchors the mind. Without truth, the
- 21:31armor collapses. Without truth, the believer
- 21:33becomes vulnerable. Without truth, deception
- 21:36becomes deadly. Truth is not just a belief. It
- 21:41is a spiritual defensive system. There's an invisible
- 21:45war. The deception in the spiritual realm. The
- 21:50battle for truth is not fought just in culture.
- 21:53It's fought in spiritual realms. Scripture tells
- 21:56us that the enemy is the father of lies. His
- 22:02weapon, deception. His strategy, distortion.
- 22:06His goal, confusion. Spiritual deception does
- 22:10not always look evil. It often looks very appealing.
- 22:14It often sounds logical. It looks compassionate.
- 22:17It even looks progressive. but it leads away
- 22:20from God. The enemy does not need to destroy
- 22:24truth. He only needs to distract from it. Believers
- 22:27must learn to recognize deception by not falling
- 22:32on their emotion, not looking at the easy way
- 22:35out. But look at the scripture. Don't just look
- 22:38at culture. What is your conviction? Don't just
- 22:42listen to what the consensus of people are and
- 22:44say, oh yeah, I'll go along with that. You have
- 22:46to do it by spirit. And all this happens as your
- 22:52mind then becomes the battlefield. Because the
- 22:56greatest battlefield of truth is not the world,
- 22:58it's in your mind. It's what you're discerning.
- 23:01The enemy attacks the mind with doubt, with fear,
- 23:05with confusion, distortion, distraction. Truth
- 23:09protects the mind by renewing it. Romans 12 verse
- 23:122 says, Be transformed by the renewing of your
- 23:16mind. Transformation. begins with truth. Renewal
- 23:20begins with truth. Clarity begins with truth.
- 23:22The mind must be trained to reject lies, to resist
- 23:27confusion, and to embrace scripture as the final
- 23:30authority. Truth is not just information. It
- 23:33is mental armor. There is the spirit of error
- 23:39versus the spirit of truth. Scripture reveals
- 23:44two spiritual forces at work in the world, the
- 23:47spirit of truth and the spirit of error. The
- 23:49spirit of truth aligns with Scripture. It produces
- 23:53clarity. It strengthens conviction, leads to
- 23:57righteousness, and glorifies Christ. But the
- 24:00spirit of error distorts Scripture. It produces
- 24:05confusion. It weakens your conviction. It leads
- 24:08to compromise. It only glorifies self. Believers
- 24:12must learn to test every teaching, every idea,
- 24:16every influence. Truth is not recognized by emotion.
- 24:19Truth is recognized by alignment with God's word.
- 24:23And there are a lot of strongholds of deception.
- 24:27And that's not a physical fortress. It's a mental
- 24:30fortress built on lies. Strongholds form when
- 24:34deception becomes belief, when confusion becomes
- 24:37identity, and when falsehoods become foundation.
- 24:41Strongholds can be intellectual, emotional, cultural,
- 24:46spiritual. But scripture declares that truth
- 24:50demolishes strongholds. Truth breaks the chains.
- 24:53Truth exposes the lies and truth dismantles deception.
- 24:58The believer must confront strongholds with scripture.
- 25:01Not with emotion. With conviction. Not compromise.
- 25:06With spiritual authority. Not the human opinion.
- 25:11And there's a role of the Holy Spirit in revealing
- 25:16truth. Because truth is not discovered, truth
- 25:19is revealed. The Holy Spirit is the revealer
- 25:22of truth. Jesus says he will guide you into all
- 25:27truth. The Spirit reveals truth by illuminating
- 25:31scripture, convicting the heart, clarifying the
- 25:36confusion, exposing the deception, and strengthening
- 25:40truth. Your ability to use discernment. Truth
- 25:45is not understood by intellect alone. It's understood
- 25:48by revelation. The believer must walk in the
- 25:52Spirit to walk in truth. Truth is not just a
- 25:55doctrine. It is a relationship with the Spirit
- 25:57of God. The Word of God is the standard of truth.
- 26:03Scripture is infallible, eternal, authoritative.
- 26:10unchanging and complete culture changes scripture
- 26:16does not opinions shift scripture does not trends
- 26:21fade but scripture does not the Word of God is
- 26:26the believers measuring rod every idea must be
- 26:30tested by scripture every belief must be aligned
- 26:34with scripture and every conviction must be anchored
- 26:39to scripture. Truth is not what feels right.
- 26:43Truth is what God says is right. And there is
- 26:47a danger of just being spiritually neutral. Neutrality
- 26:53is not an option in the battle for truth. Silence
- 26:56is not safety. Silence is surrender. Spiritual
- 27:00neutrality allows deception to grow. It allows
- 27:03confusion to spread. It allows compromise to
- 27:06take root. You know how they say sometimes, If
- 27:10you stand by someone, they say something, and
- 27:12you don't put your two cents in, you don't correct
- 27:15them if it's something that's wrong, and you're
- 27:18looked at like you went along with it. And it
- 27:21makes you just as complicit as the other person.
- 27:25So believers must choose a side, truth or deception,
- 27:29light or darkness, scripture or culture. Truth
- 27:32requires courage. Truth requires clarity, and
- 27:35truth requires conviction. Neutrality is comfortable.
- 27:39But truth is commanded. We spoke earlier that
- 27:42truth is a spiritual authority. But truth gives
- 27:45the believer authority. Authority to resist deception.
- 27:50Authority to confront confusion. To stand against
- 27:54spiritual attack. Authority to speak with conviction.
- 27:57And authority to live with confidence. Truth
- 28:00is not passive. Truth is powerful. Truth is not
- 28:03defensive. Truth is authoritative. When believers
- 28:07walk in truth, they walk in spiritual strength.
- 28:10They walk in clarity. They walk in victory. Truth
- 28:14is not just armor. Truth is authority. As we
- 28:18go into our last segment, we're going to talk
- 28:21about our country. We're going to talk about
- 28:24America at a moral crossroads. The national dimension
- 28:28for truth is important because the battle for
- 28:32truth is not only spiritual and cultural. It
- 28:35is national. America stands at a moral crossroads,
- 28:39not because truth has changed, but because the
- 28:42nation's relationship with truth has changed.
- 28:44Truth used to be a foundation. Now it's treated
- 28:48as an opinion. Truth used to be a compass. Now
- 28:52it's treated as a suggestion. Truth used to be
- 28:55a standard. Now it's treated as a burden. But
- 28:58scripture declares that righteousness exalts
- 29:01a nation and righteousness cannot exist without
- 29:04truth. If America is to stand strong after 250
- 29:08years, it must rediscover truth, rebuild truth,
- 29:12and recommit to truth. Now, how did this happen?
- 29:15What was the collapse of truth in public discourse?
- 29:18Well, public discourse in America has shifted
- 29:22from truth to tribe. People no longer ask, Is
- 29:27it true? They ask, does it agree with my side?
- 29:32That could be political, that could be personal,
- 29:34it could be a lot of things. Truth has become
- 29:38so politicized because facts have become weaponized
- 29:42and convictions have become polarized. But truth
- 29:45does not belong to the party. Truth belongs to
- 29:48God. Truth is not conservative or progressive
- 29:52or liberal. Truth is eternal. Truth is not owned
- 29:56by any one ideology. Truth is owned by the scripture.
- 29:59When truth collapses in public discourse, the
- 30:02nation loses its moral compass. It becomes guided
- 30:05by emotion instead of principle, by outrage instead
- 30:09of wisdom, and by reaction instead of righteousness.
- 30:13There is a rise of cultural relativism. Cultural
- 30:18relativism teaches that truth changes with time.
- 30:23with trends, with feelings, with circumstances.
- 30:26They'd really like you to believe that. But scripture
- 30:29teaches that truth does not change because God
- 30:33does not change. Relativism sounds compassionate,
- 30:37but it produces confusion. It sounds inclusive,
- 30:40but produces instability. It sounds modern, but
- 30:44it produces moral collapse. A nation cannot survive
- 30:47when truth becomes negotiable. A culture cannot
- 30:50thrive when truth becomes optional. People cannot
- 30:53flourish when truth becomes flexible. Truth must
- 30:58be fixed when morality becomes fluid. So what
- 31:02is our role as the church in this national clarity?
- 31:06Well, the church is not a spiritual institution.
- 31:11It is a national stabilizer. 1 Timothy 3 verse
- 31:1515 calls the church the pillar. and foundation
- 31:19of truth. That means the church is responsible
- 31:22for clarity in a nation drowning in confusion.
- 31:25So we as a church must preach the truth boldly,
- 31:28teach truth consistently, defend truth courageously,
- 31:32and live truth visibly. When the church compromises
- 31:36truth, the nation loses clarity. When the church
- 31:39softens truth, the nation loses conviction. And
- 31:41when the church abandons truth, the nation loses
- 31:45direction. So the church has to speak out. They
- 31:48cannot remain silent. If we remain silent, we
- 31:50said earlier, we are complicit. Because the future
- 31:53of America depends on the faithfulness of the
- 31:56church. We speak out about things. We speak out
- 31:59about policies going on. We speak out about other
- 32:02religions, about protests. We talk about all
- 32:05these things. Not in a political way, not taking
- 32:09a side, but revealing the truth. Because the
- 32:13truth is all that matters for what we do. If
- 32:16we are to have a national unity, truth is the
- 32:20only foundation strong enough to unify a nation.
- 32:22Unity built on emotion collapses. Unity built
- 32:26on ideology fractures. Unity built on personality
- 32:30fades. But unity built on truth endures. Truth
- 32:35unifies because truth clarifies. Truth unifies
- 32:38because it stabilizes. Truth unifies because...
- 32:43Truth transcends culture, class, and politics.
- 32:46America does not need uniformity. It needs unity.
- 32:50And unity cannot exist without truth. There is
- 32:55a danger of a national deception because nations
- 32:59can be deceived just like individuals. National
- 33:03deception occurs when lies become laws, when
- 33:07confusion becomes culture, when falsehoods become
- 33:09foundation. National deception leads to Moral
- 33:13decline, spiritual blindness, cultural instability,
- 33:16and generational confusion. But scripture declares
- 33:19that the truth sets people free. And truth sets
- 33:23nations free. A deceived nation cannot be a strong
- 33:26nation. A confused nation cannot be a united
- 33:29nation. And a misled nation cannot be a righteous
- 33:33nation. Truth is the antidote to national deception.
- 33:39Now where is truth? and our next generation of
- 33:43Americans. Well, the next generation is inheriting
- 33:45a world where truth is contested. They are being
- 33:48discipled by screens, shaped by culture, and
- 33:52influenced by voices that do not know God. The
- 33:56question is not whether they will hear the truth.
- 33:59The question is whether they will recognize the
- 34:02truth. The next generation needs clarity, conviction,
- 34:07courage, and Christ. They don't need... They
- 34:12don't need political parties that are going to
- 34:16take them into all kinds of what they call progressive
- 34:19directions. They need truth. Truth must be taught.
- 34:25It has to be intentional. Truth must be modeled,
- 34:29so it's got to be visible. Truth must be defended,
- 34:32and boldly defended, with courage. Truth must
- 34:37be lived authentically. If the next generation
- 34:40does not inherit truth, they will inherit confusion.
- 34:44And we have a lot of confusion with our current
- 34:47generations going on now because of what had
- 34:50been taught in schools by ideological teachers
- 34:54and professors. Even our Smithsonian Institution
- 34:57has been corrupted just because a few people
- 35:01were put into key positions that went ahead and
- 35:04started throwing their ideological thoughts into
- 35:08what history was. Changing history for people
- 35:11to see. This is what people went to. These are
- 35:14school trips that went to the Smithsonian. And
- 35:17they saw this stuff and they said, oh, this must
- 35:19be the history. But it's not. It was the ideological
- 35:25events that several people with authority changed
- 35:30into these museums. And now we're finding ourselves
- 35:34having to Put it back the way it was so that
- 35:37history is corrected. And now there's disbelief.
- 35:41They said, oh, that's not really what happened
- 35:43because I already saw it this way. See, that's
- 35:46where the distortion and confusion comes from.
- 35:48That's exactly what these people do. I want to
- 35:52say evil people, and it's hard for me to say
- 35:54it, but these are people that do not wish greatness
- 35:58for the country. What they wish is their own
- 36:01agenda, their own... of history, their own ideology,
- 36:06their own political ways. And history has no
- 36:10room for politics. History only came one way.
- 36:17It happened already. You can't change it. You
- 36:20may want to change it. You may say, well, wait
- 36:23a minute, what about this? You can question it,
- 36:26and you can clarify it, but you can't change
- 36:30it because it's already happened. You can remove
- 36:34statues and placards and flags, and that doesn't
- 36:39change the history. And what it does do is it
- 36:44prevents future generations and current generations
- 36:48to look at the past and learn from the past.
- 36:53There's a lot of good in our past, and there's
- 36:56a lot of sin in our past. And that's okay. That's
- 37:01what happened. It's in the past. What we do today.
- 37:05is so much more important as it directs us to
- 37:10where we go tomorrow. So we get to truth and
- 37:14national renewal. And it begins with the truth.
- 37:17Truth restores morality. Truth rebuilds families.
- 37:20Truth straightens community. Truth stabilizes
- 37:23culture. Truth revives churches. It heals the
- 37:26division that we have. Truth is the spark of
- 37:30revival. And revival is the engine of renewal.
- 37:34The key here is how do you get the people that
- 37:39have made their minds up based on ideologies,
- 37:44cultures, misinformation, how do you get them
- 37:48to go back and re -examine this so that they
- 37:50can make a wiser decision? You can't force them.
- 37:54You can't say, well, this is the way the truth
- 37:56is and you're going to just follow it. You can't
- 37:58do that. Well, you can. They're not going to
- 38:00listen to you. It's going to firm them up even
- 38:02more. against the truth and that's not good not
- 38:06at all so America does not need more information
- 38:10it needs more truth America does not need more
- 38:13noise it needs more scripture America does not
- 38:17need more outrage it needs more righteousness
- 38:20truth is the foundation of national renewal So
- 38:26there's a prophetic call to stand for truth,
- 38:29and the church carries that prophetic call, not
- 38:31to predict the future, but to protect the truth.
- 38:34The prophetic voice of the church must confront
- 38:37the deception, correct the confusion, call people
- 38:40to righteousness, and proclaim truth without
- 38:43apology. Whether it's a podcast, a service, a
- 38:49song, it doesn't matter. You've got to get the
- 38:53word out. And we as the church are doing our
- 38:57best to do that. This is not a call for anger.
- 39:00This is a call for clarity. And it's not a call
- 39:03for division. It's a call for conviction. And
- 39:06it's not a call to politics. Let's be clear.
- 39:09It is a call to scripture. The prophetic call
- 39:12of truth is not optional. And it is essential.
- 39:16It's essential for this church. And this church
- 39:19follows that. We do that because it's important.
- 39:22It's important that people understand truth because
- 39:25truth stabilizes nations, strengthens the families.
- 39:28It shapes the generations. It restores the unity.
- 39:32Truth fuels revival. Truth protects freedom.
- 39:37The battle for truth is the battle for the soul
- 39:40of America, and the church must rise as a pillar
- 39:43of truth, bold, clear, compassionate, and unwavering.
- 39:48So this week's... The podcast is all about the
- 39:51truth. And the truth is armor, it's authority,
- 39:56it's identity, it's foundation, and truth is
- 40:00freedom. That's the important thing. It's all
- 40:02about the freedom. Let us have a closing prayer.
- 40:06Heavenly Father, we thank you for your words.
- 40:09We thank you for your truth, your scripture,

- 40:23gave us direction, who keeps us on track. All
- 40:26of your guidance has put us in a track for the
- 40:31best future that any person could ever ask for,
- 40:34any life could ever ask for, because we give
- 40:37ourselves to you, we give our hearts, we give
- 40:40our surrender. We know that your providence is
- 40:45exactly... the guidelines we need to survive
- 40:50and to be a strong nation, to be a unified nation.
- 40:55It is your truth that we pray for. It is your
- 40:59truth that we will do our best to follow, that
- 41:02we will do our best to display and exemplify
- 41:05each and every day. We thank you for that. In

- 41:53a world of deception and distraction. Week 13
