  about the heads packs for Cosmic Legions, kind of 1/2 Mythic

  Legion sets back as well by stealth.

  And a little bit about the new announcement about the

  Highlander figures, which is going to be an exclusive con

  exclusive, but also then available afterwards to us.

  And then to round us off, we're going to have a quick look at

  listen to the predictions we made last year and see how wrong

  we were. And then that lead us into a

  future predictions episode in the next couple of weeks.

  But I think the one that popped up a lot and we got a lot of DMS

  as opposed to just comments on the episodes posts was about the

  waiting times for the figures. That is the one that people are

  most concerned about. And it's not, it's not like toys

  out of the pram concerned because that's, you know, that's
• 2:50
  not, that's a stupid reaction to have, but there is kind of
• 2:54
  people wishing that it was kind of quicker.

  So I guess if the horsemen ever listened to any feedback, that

  might be the one. And I'm sure it's the daily pain

  thing for them, but they maybe need to start working more on
• 3:15
  that as that that's the way to keep people happy as opposed to,

  I don't know, other stuff like, you know, more soft goods, less

  soft goods, whatever it might be.

  You know, all those things are creative decisions that.

  Pandering to Rich Jones, you know less of that.

  Yeah, I think the wait times are that.

  I mean, as you said, it's not like it's always out of the

  pram. We all love the lines, we all

  collect the lines, we all wait, you know, bated breath.

  But if they could get it down to a year, 18 months at the

  absolute most, that'll go a long way to making people a bit
• 3:51
  happier about stuff because almost everything at the moment

  is hitting two years. Yeah and I think it's you know

  what have we got? I went through we got on

  pre-order. Now we have over 50 mythic
• 4:05
  legions figures plus a dragon on pre-order.

  The dragon yeah only 7 cosmic legions.

  So you see the focus is definitely more a mythic and

  we'll see that'll lead us into the head packs now.

  And there's I think 6 waves that are currently in pre-order for

  mythics. So that's the rising sun's
• 4:27
  ashes, the rain of the beasts, the bait here we call it a wave
• 4:31
  because there is figures, the horror vine smell and now Dawns
• 4:34
  of Discovery, which is just finished pre-order.

  So you know, but they used to run up more like 3 waves kind of
• 4:43
  on pre-order at a time where you know before now it's up to 6.

  Some of them are slightly smaller.
• 4:50
  So maybe they'll they'll come quicker.

  I think rising Suns and ashes like Bender are quite large
• 4:57
  waves and then after that would be smaller but.

  I mean without adding to it. You've also not mentioned the

  Infinity legions and the graveyard packs as well, so.

  Yeah, the graveyard pack 6 retailer waves, which some of

  them are. One of them is cosmic, one of
• 5:14
  them is mythic, as well as the the repaints of the figuras.

  But you get the yeah, you get the kind of thing.

  And now we're going to have head packs on pre-order.

  But that kind of leads into it here with the head packs is the,

  you know, cosmic legions only one wave.

  So that's probably due to arrive relatively soon and then there's

  nothing on pre-order apart from these head packs, which.

  Yeah, I think, I mean it's. Disappointing.

  Yeah, Yeah, I think that's going to change this year.

  I think they were holding off because of the delays with

  Cosmic, funnily enough. And I think until the last wave,

  the Ox crew wave one, it perhaps wasn't as popular as they would

  hope. I think Ox crew wave one as

  perhaps seen a few more people start to pick it up as well,

  hasn't it? From the sounds and the things
• 6:13
  we hear around the community, you see.

  I guess my concern for the the cosmic line is that box crew

  one's gone down really well or crew 2 should be here what,
• 6:25
  midway through the year, probably maybe even a bit
• 6:27
  earlier and they'll do, you know, another wave.

  We know they're going to do another wave this year, but then
• 6:32
  that's a two year gap between not screw 2 arriving and the
• 6:36
  next wave arriving. It's just like, so you've got
• 6:39
  people in with the really cool news mech suits they like and
• 6:42
  love, but they have to wait two years for anything else.

  That's a big gap. And we only have one mech suit
• 6:47
  now in the new wave, and that's the COG.

  It's a creature. Anyway, it's an anthropomorphic.

  Yeah, he's a bit like a baboon. You.

  Look like a simian sort of thing, isn't he?

  And. Then on that one, I mean we have

  a 2.0 kind of a Tusk. We have a Tusk, really cool

  looking one, but you know, it's still very similar to the

  figures we got. We have basically a Mythic

  Legions Motu tribute that's been put in there.

  Very good one, but that's gone straight on my Mythic Legions
• 7:23
  chef probably, you know, with the other ones.

  And then we have Bungie who's very cute, but he's again, he's
• 7:31
  a new head on the skate back and a new head on the OK body.

  So it it's nothing majorly new in the Ox crew 2 compared to
• 7:44
  say, Ox crew 1. So again, if there's nothing
• 7:48
  much coming up behind that, yeah, I'm worried about cosmic
• 7:54
  as I say, maybe they said that last year.

  You know, predictions episode are kind of maybe not in the
• 8:01
  stuff that I predicted, but that the cosmic comic might bring
• 8:05
  things along a bit, but I don't know what we haven't really
• 8:09
  heard anything about that since G Con the year before last.

  So. I do think perhaps with Cosmic
• 8:17
  they need to give people a story.
• 8:21
  You know, it's funny me saying this, I guess, because I've said
• 8:25
  before I'm not that fussed by the story of either Mythic or
• 8:27
  Cosmic. But what I'd say about mythic,
• 8:31
  and I've said this in conversations we have to have
• 8:33
  now, is that mythic uses a lot of archetypes that people will
• 8:37
  recognise and they can put their own stories, their own ideas,
• 8:41
  their own and, you know, their own vision of what that means
• 8:46
  and where where that fits in the story to.
• 8:50
  Whereas Cosmic, it's very much Eric and the guys, Jeremy will
• 8:58
  be involved in it as well. They're they're ideas that are
• 9:05
  new and may not have been seen before by people, so they don't
• 9:09
  know where to place them in. In sci-fi.
• 9:13
  And yeah, in their own, in their own cannons, their own sci-fi
• 9:17
  and you know, and that sort of thing.
• 9:19
  But eh. So yeah, I think comic there is.

  Whatever, there is stories for all the waves, isn't there
• 9:24
  really? Oh yeah.

  But you think maybe a more overarching story joined up a
• 9:29
  bit more? That's it.

  Because what they don't do in those stories, in the, eh, in

  the waves and in the, you don't get a lot of character from
• 9:38
  them. You know, you don't get that
• 9:40
  character development that you would get in a long running
• 9:42
  story of a comic or whatever. You get hints at what they're
• 9:46
  like. Yeah, I mean, now, you know, we
• 9:49
  get an idea that I've gone blank on his name.

  That's terrible. The lizard, the the bounty
• 9:57
  hunter from the first wave, 01 of my favourite figures and I've
• 10:02
  gone blank on him. Novi and Lean.

  Novi and Lean. We get this idea that he's a
• 10:06
  badass and we had a little hint to him being, you know, pretty
• 10:09
  nasty piece of work in one of the stories.

  But it was the story that gave us that not really as much his
• 10:16
  bio. So, you know, imagine him in a
• 10:18
  comic and he's kicking ass and. No, really.

  In one shot. Heads off and.

  Yeah, No. You mean one shot?

  Like Boba Fett, like the boat, but you know he could become the

  Boba Fett of Mythic of Cosmics. Yeah, when they relaunched the

  the MOTU comics there in you know, I'd say it's probably 15

  years ago now, but DC did them. They did start with a lot of one
• 10:41
  shots just on one different characters.

  You know, I'd won an Orco, think you'd won on like Man at Arms,
• 10:48
  different Skeletor, obviously, and that that really kind of
• 10:54
  sucked you into what they were doing before.
• 10:57
  Then they gave you the first kind of, you know, ensemble

  story, and I thought that was that's a cool way of doing it,
• 11:04
  maybe to give you more of an in on the characters.

  Yeah, yeah, They don't just have to be.

  Yeah, OK. But the reality is they're doing
• 11:15
  heads backs and this is the second heads back waves.

  Just want to put an exclamation mark, question mark in the

  thumbnail after X packs. There's been one mythic legion
• 11:28
  sets back so far. So you know, just to give you

  context. And this is very like I'd say in

  all the, all the stuff I've said about, I'm not really excited

  about this as a concept because I'd rather wait another couple
• 11:44
  of months and get a new Cosmic Legions wave and move forward.

  I understand what this is for. It's to sell off stock and maybe

  retailers have stock as well and then they can pick this up and

  Umm, but yeah, they they it it just to start it off, it is a

  lot better than the previous head packs.

  Century Legion builder. So we have a face plate in.

  So this helmet is like the one that you get with Veloc, right?

  is this one that goes comes from the paladin, right or?

  plate, the not human face plate, but I think it looks so sinister

  with like I described it as like a robotic face plate that mask.

  ordered one of these, but I might have to pick up a second

  one when it goes to retail because I want to repaint the

  well, I've I want to stick the robot faceplate on shadow on the

  shadow circle figure, repaint the eye.

  I really like these. Obviously no, no humans will

  skip past that. But yeah, I mean like Mal, I

  think the robot faceplate is my favourite bit in this is

  definitely buy in a pack. It's nice to get the human face

  plate because I didn't order the dragon or any of the associated

  figures. So I can get that face plate

  now. So that's that's a great way of

  doing that. And the other helmet, Hylocrine

  1 is really good. And when they first showed this,

  I was like, yes, I'm going to have a sentry body with that on.

  And then they showed it later on for a different character and

  it's like I prefer that look. So I have to have a sentry

  carrying that helmet with just exposed head.

  And they give you a nice, the little, the little pipe piece as

  well, because that's key for this.

  with the Paladin cleric what are their heads fit in there and

  it's basically all the human like face plates go in to that.

  So Elijah works on Elijah, it works on the Enoch.

  So any of those figures you can upgrade with this, these human,

  the two human face plates in this.

  Yeah, the mask on the on the left, so the the real industry

  mask. I mean, I love the Hyler Crane

  helmet. And just to say Eric has done

  like the human face here is amazingly painted.

  Quality is so good, really. So 0 complaints and obviously

  the other stuff also excellent. And yeah, I mean the human face
• 18:27
  plate cool to have another look for for your Knights.

  So he's he's done it for his buddy Joe Russo there and right,

  the science officer, that legion builder, you get a bunch of
• 18:45
  stuff here. So you get to this was the one
• 18:48
  that was teased at G Con, right? That's it, yes.

  So this is another new helmet and a little bit similar to the
• 18:56
  style of the Heiner Crane. I would say same kind of slick
• 19:00
  shape. Maybe, you know, a little bit
• 19:02
  more bulbous at the top and kind of funnelling towards the front.

  A new alien head painted in that kind of pink colour that we got
• 19:10
  the other alien head with the science officer in the first
• 19:13
  wave. So clearly that's a type of

  species I would say, you know. I like to think there's two

  different species, but they're on the same continent on the
• 19:25
  planet, so that for they look similar.

  They think like the sun tan. Yeah.

  I think let the Star Trek look one's a human, one's a human

  with a raised nose. So yeah, the Bajorans.

  sculpt though. It's this shots not the best

  it absolutely head on to the camera and it looks quite

  intimidating that one. It looks less intimidating.

  to have to have him without the helmet on, with the helmet

  tucked under his arm because I actually prefer these to the

  original. But I kind of want to keep the

  original as it is as well, right?

  And. These hands don't come with the

  original science officer, right? They don't know.

  These are these can be used to upgrade even though just

  existing one on your shelf. You got you got 2 sets of hands

  there. So that gives you a chance to

  upgrade. You know, 2 figures with this

  pack, such as you got 2 heads as well and then OK, one set of
• 21:50
  feet. So one of them can be wearing

  boots. I think that's that's fair

  enough. I think I'll be getting 2 just

  so they can have two barefooted aliens walking around.
