Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_02]: Hey friend, today on the broadcast here on Bible Track Decos, we're going to talk about a concept that maybe just maybe will appeal to the more mature members of my audience.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_02]: What I mean by that is totally appropriate.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_02]: What I mean by that is this, Dr. Paul Avain is continuing his message, are you afraid to die from many years ago in 1995?
- 0:19[SPEAKER_02]: And he talks about this concept today.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_02]: He points out that we, who will pass over all of us, if Lord doesn't return soon, were
- 0:29[SPEAKER_02]: And you're not, when that happens, you are not going to miss your body.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe there's some listing right now.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe of the older clientele, you'd say, yeah, I think that's true.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_02]: I've got this new ache or pain that I woke up with today, or I over-exerted myself.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, you know, young folks bounce back so quickly.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a little sore from it's from some exertion that I put my body through not too long ago.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_02]: And yes, I may bounce back quicker now that I will later on, but I'll tell you this,
- 0:59[SPEAKER_02]: which Lord Willing will be not too soon, but sometime in the future, I'm not going to be interested in coming back because it's so great.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_02]: So while you're listening today, Dr. Paul is going to tell us a fun little story, he's going to talk about through the lens of the apostle Paul and a trip that he took.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_02]: I want you to listen.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_02]: I want you to listen in 10.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_02]: I want you to realize and kind of allow this truth to permeate a little bit.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_02]: You're not going to want to come back.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_02]: You're not going to miss your body.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_02]: Listen now to Dr. Paul from this message.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_02]: Are you afraid to die preached by our founder in 1995?
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: If we can go to heaven tonight, without dying, we all want to go to heaven.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: But if we all want to go to heaven, and we all want to go to heaven now, but if we have to go across death to get there, we'll just stay here a while.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's the way we are.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: Now let's turn to another person.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: Let me show you something.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: Second Corinthians chapter 12.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: Second Corinthians chapter bore this as tremendous for me.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how to be for you, but
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, yours help me.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: If I preach ever preach this here before you let to pardon me, I'm getting a little old now I'm like two thousanders are talking.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: I won't help them say the other.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: They sure can't just say now listen I'm a little bit forgetful.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: What's that you who died?
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: What was that your brother?
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: Oh forgotten
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, second Corinthians chapter 12.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: Now here Paul, the Apostle Paul, is going to tell us how about a trip that he made to paradise.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: So remember that while we read it.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: He's talking about a trip to paradise and back.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: Now let's look at verse two, I knew a man.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: Paul is talking about himself here, but doesn't say so.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know why, I've never met Paul yet, but when I get to have anyone asking, how come videos just come right out and say it?
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: You're the fellow that made this trip to paradise instead of saying that you knew a fellow that did.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why, maybe it's because he was very humble.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: But anyways, I know a man in Christ, that means this man was a saved man.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: 14 years ago, that's when this happened.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: 14 years ago.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you figure 14 years ago, from the time you wrote this, some of the scholars tell us, you'll take it to about the time in Paul's life when he was stoned at a town called Lister, and
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: That's what it was dead, they wanted him dead so much that they were going to be mindy sure that they left him for dead and that's about 14 years back.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: That's when he mentions that right here.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: I knew a man himself.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: In Christ's save man 14 years ago, not only in princesses, you've got your eyes on the Bible, haven't you?
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: Look what it says there, whether in the body, I cannot tell or whether out of the body, I cannot tell God knows.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about anyhow?
- 3:30[SPEAKER_00]: He's what he's saying.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: He's saying, when I made my trip to the third heaven into paradise, I don't know whether I went in my body or not.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: That's what he's saying.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: He said, God knows that.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: He says, I don't know.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: Now, either went in his body or he didn't.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: Personally, I don't believe he went to paradise in his body.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_00]: I don't believe that these mortal bodies that we have now could stay in the trip between here and the third heavens.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: See, I don't believe that.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: I believe he just went in his spirit and wherever his body was on earth, it was a dead body.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: When Paul went to Paradise, we don't know how long he was there, but he was there for a while, and came back, and while he was going into Paradise, his body was a dead body, and he said it was 14 years ago, it might be when he was told at Lister.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: So that's what he's talking about.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know whether I was in my body or not.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: Now look at the rest of verse 2, He says, Such a one, talking about himself again now, caught up into the third heaven.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's talking about his trip into the third heaven.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: He says, I don't know if I had my body with me when I went there.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: But he says, I know I went there.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: All right, look at the next verse.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: In verse 3, He says, almost the same thing.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: He says, I knew such a man, whether in the body or out of the body, I cannot tell God, no, the white he repeat that.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: He would just set so once.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: Why do you have to go and say it again?
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's the way God emphasized the things in the Bible.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: Well, when you men go hunt, you go away for a couple of weeks, hunt, or fish, and then you write your wife every day, don't you?
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: And tell her how much you love her and how many of them you miss her.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: You, you, why should you not write?
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: You get a letter from me every day while he's gone.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: And so he won't even want to emphasize how much he loved the underlines it and read or something.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I'm emphasized when you write letters.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: God doesn't do it that way.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: God just says twice.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: Very, very I say unto you.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: He could have said barely once, but he didn't.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: He said it twice.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: When he said barely.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: Wake up!
- 5:13[SPEAKER_00]: Very!
- 5:13[SPEAKER_00]: Wake up!
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: I got something to tell you.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: Now whenever he has found something repeated in the Bible, he's important.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: So this got to be important.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: He repeats his twice.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: I knew such a man, whether in the body or out of the body, I cannot tell.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: Whether I was alive physically or dead physically, when I don't know.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if I held my body with me.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: Now listen to me.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: If...
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't know whether or not he had his body and I don't believe he had it.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: I don't, I don't, I don't let me change that.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: If he didn't have his body, I don't believe he had it.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_00]: If he didn't have it, or let's say since he didn't have it, he didn't miss it.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: Because if he didn't miss it, he wouldn't come back and say, I don't know whether or not I had it or not.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: The fact of the business is he didn't have his body and he didn't miss it.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: And when you night the ice is going to be the same way.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: We get to think about what you're going to do with our body, we have to do it.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you, you're not going to worry about that after you die.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: Because you're going to go to Paradise, and it's going to be the same as if you had your body.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: Because Paul says they were not there.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: The first of four, he said that he was caught up into Paradise, boy, and I didn't know where Paradise is.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: Paradise is in the third heaven.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: He said he was caught up in the Paradise and heard unspeakable words, which is not lawful or possible for a person to utter.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: So he's telling about this wonderful experience, and he says that when he went up there to Paradise, he doesn't know whether he had his body or not, where she was, that if he didn't have it, he didn't miss it.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if he didn't miss it, when he went to heaven, you're not going to miss yours.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: When you go to heaven either.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: See, we don't care what the bombers and the hundred takers do with our body.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: And we go to heaven.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be the same as we have our body by the day.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: See, that's wonderful thought, you know.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if that's real human, man.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: I guess me all worked up, that makes me happy just to know about this.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: Now, let me give you just three things briefly, then, about your fossil fault.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: Number one was his delight.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: His delight was the stripped paradise in back.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: Now his desire, what was his desire?
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: His desire, years later, he wrote about his desire, in Philippians chapter 1, and he says, I am an enslaved the tricks to having a desire to depart and be with Christ.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_00]: He's talking about Diane.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: See, after having made the trip to Paradise and come back, how about that, Paul, are you scared?
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: No, scared to die again?
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: Are you trembling in fear now?
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: You're not even having to die?
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: He says, I have a desire to die.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: and be with Christ because it's so much better there than it is here.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: See, that was his desire.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: Having once made the trip, he wanted to make it again by death.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: even if he had to.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: Not by the rapture.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's talking about dying.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: He says it was so wonderful this trip I made the prayer.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: I so wonderful that even if I have to die to get it, I want to go.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: Say, boy, that's great.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: Let me illustrate.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: When I get on the farm, the folks across the rules are must have a great, big, what they call a gully on their farm.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: Big hill on each side.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: And the valley down there.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: It was a big hill.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: The deep valley.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: And there's an Elm 3 on each side and a strong cable from the Elm 2 on this side across this chasm to the Elm 3 over on this side.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: And then on our cable, for you boys and girls, what's your cable?
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: Our cable is a rolled dough won't break, that's what a cable is, okay.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: So now they got this cable up there and on top of it they got a wheel, they call it a pulley.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: And this wheel runs, it's got a groove in it, it runs on top of this.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: rope that won't break, that's politics.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: I mean this cable.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, then coming down from this wheel that runs on top of the cable, had a rope three feet long.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: And then they said to us, kids, you get up on the hill over here, see?
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: And you get back as far as you can come and start running down the hill.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: Run, run, run, help, it's nice you can go.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: And after a while, you'll be hanging in the air.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: And you just hang on.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: And that thing will take you right across and you land on the other side.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I don't know what the other kids were saying, but I was thinking, how do they know the little girl across?
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: We never seen anybody go across.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: And I said to myself, what if it stops in the middle?
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody thought nobody had brains enough to tie a long rope onto the short one so you could slide down the long one if the seat stopped in the middle.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody thought of that.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: There were no helicopters around.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: No way to put a ladder down there.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: If that thing stops in the middle, there's only one thing you could do, and that was to confess a whole other thing.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: You'd already confess it a couple of dozen times and finally let go and get killed.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's the only thing you could do.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: Oh boy, I looked at that saying, man, I don't know about going across on there.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know what that'll go across.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: Then all I was saying, oh, we lined up, you know, we don't take turns.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, I kidge everybody wants to go first.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: All I was kids were standing there.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: But if you want to go first, that's all right.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: No, you can go first, that's all right.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: Let me, there wasn't any of us kids scared, but we were all polite.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: But I just bunch of kids you ever saw.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: And finally, I came out of the farmhouse there.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: I got about to...
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: 18 years old big guy and he says I'll try it or I love that him and that's on man What a hero.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he brave and I thought he's he's this was about the time that I forgot his first name in the Lindberg chartered Charles Lindberg flew across the Atlantic also and in an airplane not thought to myself Well, this guy is just gonna ride across there.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's a hero Then because the piker compared to him because that Lindberg had an airplane with a motor did it and he had a radio
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: And he had some gasoline, and that's all this guy's got a little rope, so he foot long, and so he got a turn on the hill.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: And I started to pray because my brother told me you'd pray about everything.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: Boy, I started to pray and I was peaking too.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I was praying, you know.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: And Harry went down the hill, and the next thing, you know, his feet were dangling in the air.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: And I could hear that.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: That pulley up to it, click it, click it, click it, click it, click it, click it, click it, click it, click it, go on and he just kept right on, go on and go on and go on and you know finally his feet hit on the other side over here and when he dead he turned around and he said to us kids not there he said he was fine.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: I'd like to go on then.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: That was Paul said.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: I went to paradise and came back.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: Man, that was wonderful.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: Open mind dining again.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: I have a desire to depart.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_02]: Don't you just love Dr. Paul?
- 10:52[SPEAKER_02]: What a fun character he was.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'm looking forward when I get to heaven getting to reminisce with him a little bit.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe sitting down for a meal of heavenly food.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure what that looked like, but either way, I'm excited to spend some time with Dr. Paul.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: But if you're listening right now, and you'd say, I'm not sure if I'd ever go meet Dr. Paul, where he is in heaven.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_02]: If you're not sure you're going there, today would be the absolute best day to get that settled every single day this week.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_02]: We've made this play.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_02]: If you don't know of your eternal destiny, you're not sure.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_02]: Would you reach out to me?
