- 0:01Stu does America.
- 0:06I'm back from a few days off.
- 0:08Hopefully I'll get some more days off really soon.
- 0:10Uh,
- 0:10we've got a lot to get to today.
- 0:12Doug Gowdy is here to talk about the New York City mayoral race.
- 0:14We also are going to start though
- 0:16by doing
- 0:17a world on the brink
- 0:19of war of,
- 0:21uh.
- 0:21Explosions of insanity.
- 0:24I,
- 0:24I would say at least we're there.
- 0:25Uh,
- 0:26we are on the brink of insanity in so many different ways.
- 0:29Some good news over the past week,
- 0:30uh,
- 0:31some,
- 0:31uh,
- 0:31news that not,
- 0:32not so great.
- 0:33Let me start with some of the bad news.
- 0:34Maybe we could start on something,
- 0:35uh,
- 0:35end on something positive.
- 0:36I don't know.
- 0:37Um,
- 0:38let me talk to you.
- 0:39Well,
- 0:39let me get this out of the way first because this is the most,
- 0:42probably the most important part of the show today,
- 0:44um.
- 0:46My
- 0:47uh.
- 0:48The people that disagree with me.
- 0:52Every one of them
- 0:54are
- 0:55bloodthirsty,
- 0:57war mongering
- 0:58criminals,
- 1:00and
- 1:01they get all of their money from foreign governments.
- 1:04Um
- 1:06The people that agree with me
- 1:08are the pure ones.
- 1:09They're the,
- 1:09the good people
- 1:10of our society,
- 1:12and if they agree with me wholeheartedly,
- 1:14they are wholeheartedly pure.
- 1:17Uh,
- 1:17my opponents are the opposite of that.
- 1:19They're all bloodthirsty criminals and,
- 1:21uh,
- 1:21lunatics,
- 1:22in fact,
- 1:22that are hurting the country and want death.
- 1:25They love death.
- 1:26OK?
- 1:26I want you to know that.
- 1:28Now,
- 1:29next week,
- 1:29there will be a new issue we're talking about.
- 1:31And some of those people
- 1:33who today are bloodthirsty lunatic criminals
- 1:37are going to agree with me.
- 1:39When that happens,
- 1:41they will become pure,
- 1:43and the people that were pure this week will convert
- 1:47to bloodthirsty criminals that are being supported by foreign governments.
- 1:51And if you understand that,
- 1:53you'll understand the entire internet over the past week,
- 1:56especially on the right,
- 1:57and this is why I start with this because it's not positive.
- 2:00Um,
- 2:02this whole disagreement,
- 2:02I guess,
- 2:03on what's going on with Israel
- 2:05and Iran,
- 2:06that's every single tweet that I saw.
- 2:08Everyone's like,
- 2:08oh,
- 2:09if you support Israel,
- 2:10then you're a bloodthirsty,
- 2:12bloodcurdling,
- 2:13crazy person who just wants to see people die,
- 2:16and Israel's paying you directly for that.
- 2:19And then I look at the other side and they'd be like,
- 2:2100 yeah,
- 2:23well,
- 2:23you just want Jews to die,
- 2:25and you're being paid
- 2:27by the,
- 2:28the
- 2:28government of
- 2:30Qatar or whatever it is.
- 2:32OK,
- 2:32I can't even keep track of it anymore.
- 2:34It just doesn't feel at all like we're
- 2:37adults talking to each other about adult things,
- 2:39does it?
- 2:40I don't even understand it,
- 2:41honestly,
- 2:42at this point.
- 2:43Um,
- 2:44look,
- 2:45you know,
- 2:45I saw this about,
- 2:45uh,
- 2:46one of the big,
- 2:46like,
- 2:47we've had Tucker on the show a bunch of times,
- 2:48uh,
- 2:49on radio.
- 2:49We've had,
- 2:50uh,
- 2:50you know,
- 2:51Mark Levinza,
- 2:52part of our network,
- 2:53a big supporter of what they're doing in Israel.
- 2:55Uh,
- 2:56you know,
- 2:56I don't know,
- 2:57Ted Cruz has been on the show a zillion times.
- 3:00All of these people have had positive
- 3:02influences on our country over their lifetimes,
- 3:04I think.
- 3:04I mean,
- 3:05you might disagree with that,
- 3:06but that's what I would say.
- 3:07They're at odds right now.
- 3:09They don't necessarily agree with each other,
- 3:10but I,
- 3:11you know,
- 3:12there's been a lot of this jumping to
- 3:14kind of this like.
- 3:15Accusatory tone that I don't think gets anything
- 3:19done.
- 3:19So let's go through a little bit of it,
- 3:20I guess.
- 3:21Tucker Carlson berates Ted Cruz
- 3:24over bellicose stance on Iran.
- 3:26That's what the New York Times says.
- 3:27And,
- 3:27and
- 3:28if you read the story,
- 3:29let me give you a little clip of it.
- 3:30Confrontation reflected a bitter rift in President
- 3:32Trump's coalition between hawkish Republicans like Mr.
- 3:35Cruz,
- 3:36who back aggressive action against Iran
- 3:38and an America first coalition,
- 3:39including Mr.
- 3:40Carlson that is warning against
- 3:41further entangling the US
- 3:43in the Middle East.
- 3:45The fact that the New York Times is celebrating this gives you an
- 3:48indication of how much we should be doing this type of stuff,
- 3:50right?
- 3:51Like,
- 3:51I don't,
- 3:51I didn't really understand it,
- 3:53uh,
- 3:53frankly.
- 3:53I,
- 3:53I,
- 3:54I,
- 3:54I,
- 3:54you know,
- 3:54I think about it this way,
- 3:56um,
- 3:56I'm a Philadelphia Eagles fan.
- 3:58I,
- 3:58I put most things through this prism.
- 4:01In life,
- 4:01uh,
- 4:01but like if the Eagles make a trade and I'm trying to judge
- 4:04whether it's a good thing for the Eagles and I'm not sure,
- 4:06a lot of times I can look and say,
- 4:07how are Cowboys fans reacting to it?
- 4:10And if they're happy about it,
- 4:11usually it's a bad idea
- 4:13for the Eagles.
- 4:15Look at the way the left,
- 4:16they are loving this.
- 4:17They are basking in this debate,
- 4:20and you know,
- 4:21again,
- 4:21there's no problem having a conversation about this.
- 4:23Like what I can't understand,
- 4:24I think most about this,
- 4:26and
- 4:26I took it all in on vacation,
- 4:28so.
- 4:28You know,
- 4:29maybe I don't have the full perspective.
- 4:30I'll allow for that,
- 4:31but
- 4:32what I've seen at least is this idea that like
- 4:35it's just hard for me to understand how a conservative could not see at
- 4:38least slices of both of these arguments as having some sort of merit.
- 4:42Like
- 4:43I
- 4:43I I mean like can the people.
- 4:44Who are really against getting involved in Israel
- 4:47with Israel and Iran really not see any danger from Iran?
- 4:51Do we really,
- 4:51I mean,
- 4:51you know,
- 4:53the government that has killed the most people
- 4:56in the United States over the past 15 years
- 4:59is Iran.
- 5:00They're responsible for lots of American deaths.
- 5:03They've had all sorts of threats against us.
- 5:05They obviously say they want to topple us for many,
- 5:07they've been saying it publicly for a long time.
- 5:09They've threatened our public officials,
- 5:12they've tried to assassinate some of our public officials.
- 5:15You might say,
- 5:15I think there's totally a reason to look at that and say,
- 5:18obviously there's a threat there from Iran.
- 5:20We've gone through that for years and years and years and
- 5:22years here at the Blaze and the Glenn Beck program.
- 5:24But you could also say,
- 5:25hey,
- 5:25like,
- 5:26maybe we shouldn't go this far,
- 5:28maybe we shouldn't be involved in this,
- 5:30um,
- 5:30maybe we shouldn't.
- 5:32Do more.
- 5:33Let Israel handle this themselves.
- 5:35Like I could see seeing a slice of,
- 5:36hey,
- 5:37like they're very dangerous.
- 5:38On the other side,
- 5:38you could say maybe they're overblown.
- 5:40They're not as dangerous as we might think.
- 5:42Certainly I think people who are really aggressively hawkish on this issue can say,
- 5:47hey,
- 5:47we've had problems in the Middle East before,
- 5:49and if we get involved in this and don't really realize what we're getting into.
- 5:53We could have massive problems down the road.
- 5:56Like,
- 5:57can't every conservative at least see
- 5:59some wisdom in both sides of that?
- 6:01You might have,
- 6:02uh,
- 6:02you know,
- 6:03I have a view on it.
- 6:03I mean,
- 6:04I,
- 6:04I,
- 6:04I tend to be less,
- 6:06uh,
- 6:07less on the Tucker side of this particular issue.
- 6:09Um,
- 6:10but
- 6:11like I can see being worried about the Middle East.
- 6:15Like I like getting involved in the Middle East has not been positive for us
- 6:17at times.
- 6:18So like I just don't understand why we
- 6:20have to devolve the conversation immediately into,
- 6:24gosh,
- 6:24you're bloodthirsty and being paid.
- 6:25Everyone thinks everyone else is being paid by a foreign government.
- 6:28Like I don't agree with a lot of the stuff that Tucker is saying on this.
- 6:31Do I think that he,
- 6:32the reason he's saying it is because
- 6:35Qatar is paying him for a speech?
- 6:37Like Tucker's podcast,
- 6:39he's,
- 6:39the guy's making like 8 figures on his podcast,
- 6:41and that's just one of his businesses.
- 6:44He
- 6:45Tucker's got plenty of money.
- 6:47He's,
- 6:47he's been in the public eye for a very long time.
- 6:49He's not struggling.
- 6:50He even comes from a rich family before he started his own career.
- 6:54Like,
- 6:54I don't know,
- 6:55maybe,
- 6:56uh,
- 6:56you know,
- 6:56there's got to be some $500 million payment from
- 6:59coming from Qatar saying you must say these things.
- 7:01I sincerely doubt it.
- 7:03I think he really just thinks
- 7:05this is the way the world works right now and this is the way America should act.
- 7:08You know,
- 7:10that's what I think.
- 7:10Do I think every person who supports this and says that America should jump in
- 7:16and be more aggressive and maybe help Israel more directly,
- 7:19do I think those people are all paid
- 7:21by evil Jews?
- 7:22No.
- 7:23They might just believe that Iran,
- 7:26who has completely stated that they want to eliminate America,
- 7:30really wants to eliminate America and Israel.
- 7:33So I just find all of this to be completely unproductive.
- 7:37So
- 7:38That's where I am.
- 7:39You know what,
- 7:39I'm,
- 7:39I'm,
- 7:40I've ranted too long on this.
- 7:40I'm not gonna be able to get to anything,
- 7:41so let me move on to the next story here.
- 7:43Sorry,
- 7:43I had a lot more to say about that.
- 7:46Let me give you some good news.
- 7:49A story from Georgia,
- 7:51which I find to be
- 7:53very,
- 7:53very positive,
- 7:54and of course the left doesn't like it at all.
- 7:56They hate it.
- 7:57They hate this story
- 7:58completely,
- 7:58but I think
- 7:59it's wonderful.
- 8:00Uh,
- 8:01baby of brain dead pregnant women kept alive under abortion law has been delivered,
- 8:06family says.
- 8:07Uh,
- 8:07Adriana,
- 8:08Adriana Smith's mother,
- 8:09April Newkirk told NBC affiliate WXIA of Atlanta.
- 8:14The baby named Chance was born prematurely via emergency cesarean section.
- 8:20She said the baby weighed about 1 pound 13 ounces.
- 8:22I mean,
- 8:23uh,
- 8:23just stopping there is a freaking miracle that a baby 1 pound 13 ounces
- 8:27can,
- 8:28can live is a miracle.
- 8:30Uh,
- 8:30is in the neonatal intensive care unit.
- 8:32He's expected to be OK.
- 8:33She told the station,
- 8:34he's just fighting.
- 8:35We want prayers for him.
- 8:36We just keep praying for him.
- 8:37This is interesting coming from the family because the
- 8:39initial reporting on what the family actually wanted.
- 8:42was for the baby to die.
- 8:45That was the at least the initial reporting.
- 8:47Now
- 8:48I can't believe that in their hearts they actually wanted that.
- 8:51This became sort of a left wing
- 8:53meme.
- 8:54Um,
- 8:55which
- 8:56it was a story that basically became kind of an
- 8:59extension of the only literary reference ever made by Democrats,
- 9:02which is Handmaid's Tale.
- 9:05Oh,
- 9:05well,
- 9:05they just want this,
- 9:06this empty vessel of a mom to carry this baby because they want the
- 9:09the the the mom to be a baby factory.
- 9:12They want all women to just be pumping out babies all the time.
- 9:14No,
- 9:14no,
- 9:14no,
- 9:14no,
- 9:15no,
- 9:15no,
- 9:15no,
- 9:15that's that's ridiculous.
- 9:17What we had here was a tragedy.
- 9:18A woman,
- 9:19a mother
- 9:20who wound up being brain dead and
- 9:23They believed no chance at survival.
- 9:25The thought was,
- 9:26do you pull her off of life support
- 9:30now and kill her
- 9:32and her
- 9:32child,
- 9:33or
- 9:34do you wait a little while
- 9:36and let the child develop and then you can maybe save one of those two lives?
- 9:40The question was only
- 9:422 lives lost
- 9:43or 1 life lost.
- 9:45That was the only question here.
- 9:47And for some reason the left lined up on the side of wanting both
- 9:51to die.
- 9:53And
- 9:54I don't understand it.
- 9:55I can't imagine.
- 9:57I mean,
- 9:57perhaps,
- 9:58perhaps,
- 9:58and again I can't imagine this,
- 9:59but perhaps
- 10:00if the mom came out and was like,
- 10:01you know what,
- 10:02if I ever get into a state like that,
- 10:04I definitely don't want my baby to die or to live.
- 10:07I want my baby to die.
- 10:08I don't want to be sitting there when I have
- 10:10no idea that I'm even sitting there on life support,
- 10:12and I want the baby to actually die.
- 10:15I can't imagine a mom would say that,
- 10:17but if she said that explicitly,
- 10:18maybe you can make the argument.
- 10:20I would think most mothers would think,
- 10:22God,
- 10:22if I'm going to die.
- 10:23And I can create a legacy that will last beyond me.
- 10:27My baby will live.
- 10:28You'd think the mom would want that.
- 10:31Now
- 10:31the reason why this happened is interesting because
- 10:35it was interpreted as part of the abortion law.
- 10:38Well,
- 10:38we can't pull her off of life support because that would
- 10:40cause the death of the baby and that would be an abortion
- 10:43and therefore that would be illegal.
- 10:44That does not at all seem to be the actual truth with the law.
- 10:47I mean there's no
- 10:47reason
- 10:48to believe that the law would actually require that.
- 10:52That being said,
- 10:53certainly the morally correct choice,
- 10:55isn't it?
- 10:56This baby,
- 10:57now,
- 10:58who knows what this baby does,
- 10:59right?
- 10:59This baby might die in a week.
- 11:01This baby might grow up to be our
- 11:03greatest scientist and cure all the diseases.
- 11:06This baby might wind up being
- 11:08the most annoying waiter
- 11:10at Applebee's that forgets your order and screws it up.
- 11:13Whatever their future is,
- 11:14they deserve a chance at it.
- 11:16And the fact that we are able to take a baby that's just over 1
- 11:20pound
- 11:21and keep it alive in a situation like this is a miracle.
- 11:24Now of course the left.
- 11:25Doesn't see this as a miracle
- 11:27at all.
- 11:28Um,
- 11:30they see something totally
- 11:31different here as I'm blowing through all of my prep materials.
- 11:34Um,
- 11:35let me give you a couple of,
- 11:36uh,
- 11:37tweets.
- 11:38This is,
- 11:38these are from the left.
- 11:39This was,
- 11:40again,
- 11:40I wouldn't say
- 11:41largely representative of,
- 11:43you know,
- 11:43public figures,
- 11:44but this is the online sentiment of the left,
- 11:45and I'll give you some,
- 11:46something to back that up.
- 11:48How about this?
- 11:49I might be a monster for saying this,
- 11:51but I don't want
- 11:53that child to live,
- 11:55because if it grows to live and have a decent life,
- 11:57then we as women are doomed to never escape the role of an incubator.
- 12:02Adriana Smith was an experiment of a country that hates its women.
- 12:07I don't,
- 12:08you know,
- 12:08it's hard not to like,
- 12:09it's hard to like her all that much,
- 12:11I will say after tweeting that.
- 12:12By the way,
- 12:1357,000
- 12:14retweets or likes on that.
- 12:16That was something that was liked by 57,000 individual people,
- 12:19but that wasn't the most that I saw.
- 12:21How about this one?
- 12:22I still hope the baby doesn't survive more than another day or two.
- 12:25People are seriously not understanding the precedent across the
- 12:28country that will happen if this baby survives.
- 12:30It really is an absolute worst thing that can happen.
- 12:32Again,
- 12:33the life of a baby.
- 12:35Is the worst thing that can happen.
- 12:37109,000 likes.
- 12:41Now look,
- 12:42it's hard to take representative things from Twitter.
- 12:45I understand that was again the sentiment largely from the
- 12:48online left who sees this as this political debate.
- 12:51Then I think the right looks at it and says look this is a terrible situation.
- 12:55A mom dying is a terrible,
- 12:56terrible thing,
- 12:57but if you can improve
- 12:59the negative outcome by,
- 13:00by saving just a small part
- 13:03of what is going on,
- 13:04and I mean it in this situation,
- 13:06a small part,
- 13:06just over 1 pound,
- 13:08if you can save something,
- 13:09a life,
- 13:09a life comes out of this
- 13:11and maybe
- 13:12can
- 13:13can
- 13:14help this mother have what she
- 13:16wasn't able to experience herself,
- 13:18maybe there's some good that comes out of this situation.
- 13:21How that could be the worst possible outcome.
- 13:23No one is going to be like,
- 13:24Well,
- 13:25now demand we're going to take women
- 13:27and
- 13:27impregnate them
- 13:29and put them on machines to use them as incubators.
- 13:32There's no existing policy proposal
- 13:35from conservatives.
- 13:36Even evil Donald Trump is not asking for that.
- 13:39But I don't know,
- 13:41maybe the chance of keeping a mom
- 13:43and her baby,
- 13:44having a chance at one of them
- 13:46living
- 13:46is a positive outcome,
- 13:48and I would argue it's a miracle.
- 13:49Thank God.
- 13:50We live in a country where this type of
- 13:52most countries would not even
- 13:54allow for this possibility,
- 13:55let alone.
- 13:56Scientifically capable
- 13:57of making it happen.
- 13:58We do this more than any other country.
- 14:00We root for the baby,
- 14:02and we,
- 14:02we,
- 14:03we try to cheer on
- 14:04the life of the child
- 14:06in situations where normally they would just die.
- 14:09A lot of countries don't even try to save babies at 1 pound.
- 14:11We do,
- 14:12and the fact that we're successful at it is a miracle,
- 14:14not something to be.
- 14:16Sad about.
- 14:17Uh,
- 14:17finally,
- 14:17the Supreme Court,
- 14:18uh,
- 14:18some other good news,
- 14:19upholding a Tennessee law restricting
- 14:21gender-affirming care for transgender minors.
- 14:23Case of,
- 14:24uh,
- 14:24US
- 14:25versus Scrimetti,
- 14:27High Court
- 14:27ruled 6 to 3 to reject the challenge brought by the Biden administration,
- 14:313 families,
- 14:31and a physician.
- 14:32Who had argued Tennessee's law violated the Constitution's
- 14:34guarantee of equal protection under the law.
- 14:36The court concluded that the state's measure,
- 14:38which is known as SB 1,
- 14:39as enacted in 2023,
- 14:41does not run afoul of the,
- 14:42uh,
- 14:4314th
- 14:44Amendment.
- 14:45So that one as well,
- 14:46I,
- 14:46I think another positive,
- 14:48uh,
- 14:48development.
- 14:49Uh,
- 14:49on the,
- 14:50uh,
- 14:50uh,
- 14:50uh,
- 14:50uh,
- 14:51from the Supreme Court,
- 14:52who's been,
- 14:53again,
- 14:53we talked about this at length,
- 14:54we've dissected this endlessly with experts on the
- 14:57Supreme Court over the past few months.
- 14:59Where is the court?
- 15:00I mean,
- 15:00there was a big article that came out in The New York Times also when I was on vacation,
- 15:04uh,
- 15:05with like,
- 15:05hey,
- 15:06did you know,
- 15:07maybe,
- 15:07maybe,
- 15:08uh,
- 15:08Amy Coney Barrett's actually not that bad.
- 15:11Uh,
- 15:11did you know that she's actually like winning over some
- 15:13people in the middle and on the left and,
- 15:15and angering people on the right,
- 15:17and here's a couple of mean people on the right who have said bad things about her,
- 15:21and we just don't know where she's gonna end up yet.
- 15:22I mean,
- 15:23I think
- 15:24it's,
- 15:24I think it's wrong to say she's gonna be some left wing justice.
- 15:27I think she,
- 15:27it's wrong to
- 15:29believe she's going to be
- 15:30Alito or Thomas,
- 15:32um,
- 15:32you know,
- 15:33she's probably more in the,
- 15:34I mean,
- 15:34we might be looking.
- 15:35At a three-prong court at this point
- 15:38where you have Thomas and Alito and maybe Gorsuch over on one side,
- 15:41you have,
- 15:42of course,
- 15:42the three liberals,
- 15:43Sotomayor and Jackson
- 15:45and Kagan on the left,
- 15:46and then the other ones are kind of maybe in the middle
- 15:48and we're not gonna know where they're gonna be on every case.
- 15:50I don't know about Kavanaugh.
- 15:52We certainly don't know about Roberts.
- 15:53Roberts is wrong.
- 15:54He was right on this case,
- 15:55uh,
- 15:56but,
- 15:56uh,
- 15:57wrong on so many others,
- 15:58so.
- 16:00What does that mean?
- 16:00Do we have a good Supreme Court or do we have a bad Supreme Court?
- 16:02I think what we have is a court that will be right on most things,
- 16:06most of the time.
- 16:07And when I say most,
- 16:08I mean above 50%.
- 16:09Are they gonna be
- 16:10where I want them to be on everything?
- 16:12No.
- 16:13But I think we're gonna get,
- 16:14we might get 60%,
- 16:15we might get 70% of the rulings that we like,
- 16:17and that's better than
- 16:18the situation we've had for most
- 16:20of history,
- 16:21certainly since there's been a modern conservative movement.
- 16:24This is a real improvement over where we were for a very long time.
- 16:28I just don't think,
- 16:29you know.
- 16:31If you look at,
- 16:32you know,
- 16:32Trump's 3 picks,
- 16:33I don't know that we got,
- 16:34we certainly went 3 for 3 there.
- 16:36We might have gone 2 for 3,
- 16:37and what I mean by that is like
- 16:4070% of each one of them,
- 16:42right?
- 16:42Like
- 16:43I just don't know
- 16:44that we are going to be thrilled with every one of those picks over the long run,
- 16:48but I don't think we're going to be
- 16:50in that,
- 16:51uh,
- 16:51you know,
- 16:51suitor type of area either.
- 16:53I don't think we're that,
- 16:54I don't think any of them are like that.
- 16:56I,
- 16:56I think they're more conservative than
- 16:58many of them that that they replaced.
- 17:00Um,
- 17:01but,
- 17:02uh,
- 17:02we're not in a perfectly comfortable situation.
- 17:05I can't give you,
- 17:06I,
- 17:06I will say they're the last bastion,
- 17:08uh,
- 17:08uh,
- 17:08frankly,
- 17:09at times in some of these states because the states
- 17:11will violate any law to get what they want.
- 17:13And then you look back and you say,
- 17:14wait a minute,
- 17:14where are they going?
- 17:15Supreme Court has stopped a lot of the worst
- 17:16instincts of the previous administration and hopefully going on
- 17:20to the next Democratic administration whenever that is.
- 17:22Uh,
- 17:23but perfection is not what we have here.
- 17:25So,
- 17:25an interesting,
- 17:26uh,
- 17:26really a fascinating week in the,
- 17:28uh,
- 17:29and honestly,
- 17:29I,
- 17:30I could do 5 shows on,
- 17:31on,
- 17:31on what we've,
- 17:32uh,
- 17:33already,
- 17:33uh,
- 17:33talked about.
- 17:35But I'm kind of glad I was on vacation to take a little bit of time
- 17:38to look at this stuff
- 17:39and,
- 17:39and,
- 17:40and,
- 17:40I don't know,
- 17:41marinate it in a little bit.
- 17:43So,
- 17:43uh,
- 17:43we will,
- 17:44uh,
- 17:44see all these things,
- 17:45how they develop.
- 17:46If there's also big stories coming from New York.
- 17:47Doug Gowdy,
- 17:48uh,
- 17:48he's gonna be coming on with me.
- 17:49He's gonna talk about the,
- 17:50uh,
- 17:50New York City mayoral election,
- 17:51among other,
- 17:52among other things,
- 17:53including,
- 17:53uh,
- 17:54people in New York trying to do
- 17:55the thing where everyone gets performatively arrested.
- 17:58We'll get into that next.
- 18:10Fish oil supplements,
- 18:11you've probably heard about them,
- 18:12right?
- 18:12Omega 3 is supposed to be good for you.
- 18:14Honestly,
- 18:15are they actually doing anything though?
- 18:18Most people can't tell.
- 18:19If you're taking an omega 3 supplement,
- 18:21try answering these simple questions yourself.
- 18:24Uh,
- 18:24has it lowered your blood pressure or your cholesterol?
- 18:27Has it helped ease your joint pain or your stiffness?
- 18:29Has it,
- 18:29uh,
- 18:30reduced
- 18:31inflammation or swelling?
- 18:32If your answer is no,
- 18:33or even like
- 18:34maybe.
- 18:35It could be a sign.
- 18:37Try something else.
- 18:38Try
- 18:38native path Antarctic krill oil.
- 18:40This is an upgrade for you,
- 18:41because fish oil has some omega 3s,
- 18:43sure,
- 18:43but native path krill oil goes even further.
- 18:45They have a special,
- 18:46uh,
- 18:47powerful antioxidant that I won't even try to pronounce,
- 18:50uh,
- 18:50but
- 18:51if you try that,
- 18:51it's going to add on to the whole process.
- 18:53It's gonna,
- 18:53it's gonna help you feel the difference.
- 18:55And if you haven't tried this,
- 18:57it's a good time to try it now.
- 18:58They they got a deal going on with 66% off
- 19:01plus free shipping and.
- 19:03This might be the best part of it,
- 19:04because you might be like kind of a doubter,
- 19:05a little skeptical.
- 19:06That's OK.
- 19:06They've got a 365 day money back guarantee.
- 19:09So it's not like try it for,
- 19:10you know,
- 19:113,
- 19:12try 3 days and see what happens.
- 19:13Now,
- 19:13this is giving you a whole year to try this out.
- 19:15Special offer is only available at native Krill.com/stew.
- 19:19Native Krill.com/stew.

- 19:30Let me bring in Doug Gowdy.
- 19:31He's a former WGY morning show host and,
- 19:34uh,
- 19:35master of all things New York.
- 19:37Doug,
- 19:37how's it going?
- 19:38Stu,
- 19:39my man.
- 19:40Hey,
- 19:40good to see you back,
- 19:41by the way.
- 19:41I know you were spending time at the
- 19:43Huma Abedin Alex Soros wedding.
- 19:45How was that?
- 19:45It was
- 19:46it was everything I thought it might be,
- 19:48uh,
- 19:49to tell you the truth.
- 19:49I thought billionaires bad,
- 19:51but apparently not when you marry them,
- 19:52then they're great,
- 19:53so there you go,
- 19:53they're wonderful,
- 19:54yeah.
- 19:55We don't,
- 19:55we want to ban all billionaires except the
- 19:57ones that we're actually in relationships with.
- 19:58That's a democratic rule.
- 20:01I wanted to get you on,
- 20:02Doug,
- 20:02because I am fascinated by the situation
- 20:05going on in New York right now.
- 20:06It feels like there's just a lot of really bad choices for the poor people of New York,
- 20:11and I want to start
- 20:12in New York City
- 20:14where a dynamic is playing out that I don't,
- 20:17I don't think I ever could have even predicted.
- 20:19Uh,
- 20:19Andrew Cuomo,
- 20:21who of course was governor of the state,
- 20:23is now running for mayor of the city,
- 20:25and,
- 20:27you know,
- 20:28he's,
- 20:28as we know,
- 20:29Andrew Cuomo is awful,
- 20:30uh,
- 20:30dot com.
- 20:31Um,
- 20:31but I talked to a lot of my friends who are up in
- 20:33that area and they are actually perplexed as to what to do because
- 20:37the challenger in this particular race
- 20:39is a guy who is just completely off of his rocker socialist.
- 20:44So can you kind of break this race down for me?
- 20:46What,
- 20:46what is going on in New York City?
- 20:48You're,
- 20:48you're too young,
- 20:49Stu,
- 20:50but there was a governor's race in Louisiana years ago when
- 20:52David Duke was the guy and he was going against,
- 20:54uh,
- 20:55Governor Edwards who had been in prison and the famous bumper sticker,
- 20:59Vote for the crook,
- 20:59it's important.
- 21:01New Yorkers sort of have a version of that right now.
- 21:03They're like,
- 21:03oh my God,
- 21:04Andrew Cuomo,
- 21:05I feel like I gotta take a shower just saying the name.
- 21:07But then you're like,
- 21:08uh,
- 21:08Zoran Mamdani,
- 21:10what do I know about him?
- 21:12Oh,
- 21:12he makes AOC look moderate.
- 21:14Hm,
- 21:15good.
- 21:15Yeah.
- 21:16And so now what are you gonna do?
- 21:17Because that's really who you've got left.
- 21:19I mean,
- 21:19I know we'll talk about the
- 21:20comptroller in a little while,
- 21:22but he's polling at like 5%.
- 21:24So,
- 21:24yeah,
- 21:24I mean,
- 21:25it's gonna be Cuomo most likely,
- 21:27uh,
- 21:27as it always was,
- 21:29because New York is just numb to idiot politicians who do bad things for New York.
- 21:34I mean,
- 21:34we've done this over and over and over.
- 21:37Over again,
- 21:37there's a long legacy here in New York.
- 21:39We give Louisiana a good run for their money back to the,
- 21:42uh,
- 21:42the bayou state.
- 21:43So
- 21:43it's going to be him,
- 21:44which is good for business for you,
- 21:45Stu,
- 21:46I guess.
- 21:46You're going to sell a lot more mugs this Christmas as he becomes more and more awful,
- 21:50uh,
- 21:50that will definitely show.
- 21:51I will say though,
- 21:52right now,
- 21:53the people who might buy the Cuomo mug are like,
- 21:56well,
- 21:56I don't want a guy who's
- 21:58legitimately pushing to create city-run grocery stores in New York City,
- 22:04a guy who's legitimately saying he's going to.
- 22:06Basically freeze all rents across the city.
- 22:10A guy who,
- 22:11as you point out,
- 22:12not only
- 22:13endorsed by AOC,
- 22:15seems to be to the left of AOC,
- 22:19is also saying things like globalize the inrittata is not
- 22:24intifada.
- 22:25I said it backwards.
- 22:26I always get that confused with frittatas,
- 22:28which are delicious,
- 22:29but the point is there's not a good phrase to be saying here,
- 22:32Doug.
- 22:33What do people really think about Mandai?
- 22:36Well,
- 22:36you'll love it too.
- 22:37Like,
- 22:37as if like he wasn't left enough,
- 22:40Bernie at the very last minute goes,
- 22:42OK,
- 22:42I'll endorse him.
- 22:43OK,
- 22:44great.
- 22:44That,
- 22:44that's,
- 22:45that clears that all up,
- 22:47I guess.
- 22:48But in the,
- 22:49the globalize the intifada thing is the classic
- 22:52thing with him where
- 22:53he couldn't condemn the phrase.
- 22:55He sounded like he sort of got it,
- 22:57and then when people called him on it,
- 22:59he literally started.
- 23:00crying and said that he was the victim here,
- 23:03and this wasn't about Israel or about the Jewish people.
- 23:06And everybody went,
- 23:07we've heard this for years now in New York,
- 23:09where
- 23:10there's just this constant appeasing or
- 23:13trying to say,
- 23:14yeah,
- 23:15but what about Palestine?
- 23:16Yeah,
- 23:17but,
- 23:17what about these Muslims or,
- 23:18yeah,
- 23:18what about that?
- 23:19And he said he's been the victim over and over again of hate speech
- 23:23during this.
- 23:24Campaign
- 23:25when he was the one
- 23:26that went on the podcast and for no
- 23:28reason started talking about globalize the Intifada.
- 23:31As usual,
- 23:32they're always the victims,
- 23:33I guess is how it goes.
- 23:34And when it wasn't playing real well,
- 23:36he went to the tears because
- 23:38Dems have two choices right now.
- 23:40Uh,
- 23:40you know this,
- 23:41too,
- 23:41full well.
- 23:41One is you go to the tears.
- 23:42The other is you swear,
- 23:44like Hochel did this week to try and make some sort of point.
- 23:47You throw out a curve.
- 23:47First word,
- 23:48because then I guess you're really serious.
- 23:50So
- 23:50the first Dem that cries and swears at the same time,
- 23:53then you'll really have something.
- 23:55I put it,
- 23:55Cuomo probably will do that if he runs into some trouble.
- 23:58Oh yeah,
- 23:58and certainly he's,
- 23:59uh,
- 23:59the Cuomo family,
- 24:00no problem with dropping some F-bombs.
- 24:03Uh,
- 24:03so you think Cuomo is going to wind up winning this,
- 24:05which is really,
- 24:06a really amazing thing to say after what he,
- 24:08uh,
- 24:08did to the state
- 24:10and so many people that lived in it.
- 24:11Um,
- 24:12you think he,
- 24:13he's,
- 24:14uh,
- 24:14because,
- 24:14you know,
- 24:14the way that,
- 24:15the way New York City works is they're gonna
- 24:16have this Democratic primary and that's pretty much the,
- 24:18the entire election.
- 24:19I mean,
- 24:19there's no hope for Eric Adams
- 24:21in the actual election,
- 24:22is there?
- 24:24The latest poll,
- 24:25I think it came out on Monday,
- 24:26has Adams at 20% approval.
- 24:2820%.
- 24:29I mean,
- 24:29I think Pelosi has better approval ratings in the country than that.
- 24:32Like,
- 24:33so how's that,
- 24:34how's that gonna change?
- 24:34He put out some video this week of,
- 24:36here's me going out to do great things for New York,
- 24:38and it was just a car pulling away,
- 24:40like.
- 24:41OK,
- 24:42that's,
- 24:42that's what he's going with.
- 24:44So when there's no traction,
- 24:45just keep spinning the wheels,
- 24:47I guess.
- 24:48Uh,
- 24:49there's no way Adams beats Cuomo.
- 24:51Again,
- 24:51the only thing,
- 24:52smart thing he did was he bought himself some time,
- 24:55which allows Cuomo
- 24:56to keep stepping in it,
- 24:57which is what he will do.
- 24:59And the thing about Cuomo is he's the opposite,
- 25:01you know,
- 25:01they always say,
- 25:02the wounded guy is the most dangerous.
- 25:04guy.
- 25:04No,
- 25:05in Cuomo's case,
- 25:05the more comfortable he is,
- 25:08the more likely he is to do something really stupid that could hurt him.
- 25:11So Adams has bought himself some time for that to happen.
- 25:14But you do have to wonder just how big of a blunder it
- 25:17would be for New York City residents to even care at this point.
- 25:20Amazing.
- 25:21Um,
- 25:21you mentioned Hochel.
- 25:22I want to move to the the gubernatorial,
- 25:24uh,
- 25:24race.
- 25:25She's going to be facing
- 25:27her own,
- 25:28uh,
- 25:28deputy lieutenant governor.
- 25:31I mean,
- 25:32she just seems to be all over the board as usual as well.
- 25:36She's certainly no improvement over Cuomo.
- 25:38I mean,
- 25:38is she worse?
- 25:40Originally when she went in,
- 25:42everybody said after about a month,
- 25:43like Cuomo 2.0,
- 25:45and then everybody did that,
- 25:46jeez,
- 25:46maybe we shouldn't have run Cuomo,
- 25:47and then everybody said,
- 25:49Um,
- 25:50I,
- 25:50what kind of choice is that,
- 25:51obviously.
- 25:52And so we just kind of walked away from it.
- 25:54Remember,
- 25:55her initial lieutenant governor was an African-American
- 25:58who she made resign because he had a
- 26:02scandal about some people that were voting that
- 26:04weren't really voters and how that all happened,
- 26:06whatever.
- 26:07Turned out he was cleared of that,
- 26:09but of course,
- 26:09she made him get out,
- 26:11and then they handpicked Antonio Delgado,
- 26:13who's his congressman.
- 26:14And,
- 26:15uh,
- 26:15from New York who had really done nothing when he was in Congress.
- 26:19So then he takes the lieutenant governor's job and within about 8 months,
- 26:22you could tell
- 26:23he'd had enough of her.
- 26:25And so he started going very public with
- 26:28Biden's got to step aside,
- 26:29even though Hochel was all in on Biden.
- 26:32And he was making public statements
- 26:34that ran counter to what she was doing.
- 26:37And so you knew something was up.
- 26:38So yeah,
- 26:39but the thing with him.
- 26:40Stu,
- 26:41he's announced that he is going to challenge her
- 26:44and everybody went,
- 26:45hm,
- 26:45what time is it?
- 26:46I,
- 26:46I
- 26:47think I got to get the chicken out of the oven,
- 26:48you know,
- 26:49I gotta go get some groceries.
- 26:50No one seems to care.
- 26:51Like if a tree falls in the forest,
- 26:53does it even make a sound?
- 26:54Because everybody goes,
- 26:55there's not a dime's worth of difference between any of these guys at this point.
- 26:59Yeah,
- 26:59it really is.
- 27:00I mean,
- 27:00it's a really a land of terrible choices.
- 27:03Uh,
- 27:03I would put,
- 27:04uh,
- 27:04Brad Lander.
- 27:05Into this category as well,
- 27:07Brad had
- 27:09what is now like,
- 27:10I guess the thing you have to do if you're on the left,
- 27:12this performative arrest thing where you go out there and you act like you're really
- 27:17pushing
- 27:18for illegal immigrant illegal immigrants,
- 27:21and then you know eventually you do something that's bad enough to
- 27:24get you arrested and then you act like you're the victim here,
- 27:27not that you've committed any crimes.
- 27:28Is that what we're seeing from Brad Lander?
- 27:31It's not just him though.
- 27:33I mean,
- 27:33Hochel,
- 27:33for example,
- 27:34I,
- 27:34I don't even know if you can see it,
- 27:35Stu.
- 27:36I,
- 27:36I'm sure you saw it on social media,
- 27:37but
- 27:38that's the picture of Hochel with Brad Lander's wife.
- 27:41You'd think Brad Lander was Brittney Griner's cellmate in Russia for 5 years,
- 27:46the way this,
- 27:47he was held for 5 minutes and then they dropped the charges and Hochel's like,
- 27:50we'll never back down.
- 27:52Come here,
- 27:52give me a hug.
- 27:53It's,
- 27:54it's all cosplay.
- 27:55It's all,
- 27:56you wonder why the kids at Columbia never got punished.
- 27:59Because Hochel and Brad Lander are the people that were in charge then.
- 28:03And they're doing the exact same thing that those kids were doing.
- 28:06It's all pretend.
- 28:07It's all make-believe.
- 28:08Here's how obvious it is,
- 28:09Stu.
- 28:10Do you know the name of the illegal that Brad
- 28:13Lander locked arms with and walked him out of there?
- 28:15Of course,
- 28:15you don't.
- 28:16And you know who hasn't said it in days?
- 28:18Brad Lander.
- 28:19Because this is all about Brad Lander getting pressed,
- 28:21not about helping the kid.
- 28:23Think about this too.
- 28:24You know,
- 28:25back to Hokel with the hug.
- 28:27In the last couple of years,
- 28:28Stu,
- 28:28New York City in particular has had some interesting arrests.
- 28:31So,
- 28:32of the three that I'm gonna tell you that they did,
- 28:34which one seems the most legit to you?
- 28:37Donald Trump.
- 28:38Daniel Penny,
- 28:40or Brad Lander.
- 28:41And yet,
- 28:42this is the one,
- 28:43Brad Lander that Hochel puts the photo out about and says,
- 28:46we're not gonna back down.
- 28:47This is all BS except she actually said the word.
- 28:50And then yesterday,
- 28:51Stu,
- 28:52she says New York is committing $50 million of taxpayer money
- 28:56to illegal immigrant defense funds.
- 28:59That happened on The very day
- 29:02that an illegal chased down with a knife
- 29:05the US attorney in Albany on a street
- 29:08that's about 2 minutes from the governor's mansion.
- 29:11Like that happened like 2 hours after she did that.
- 29:14That's the optics of New York in a nutshell right there.
- 29:16Yeah,
- 29:17it's so strange because I feel like for a long time
- 29:20through history,
- 29:21Doug,
- 29:21that there was
- 29:23An instinct on the left to take an issue that might
- 29:26might be unpopular
- 29:28and find some really like sympathetic
- 29:31victim of that situation,
- 29:32right?
- 29:32Like you'd find the mother who's just trying to
- 29:34take care of their kids and gets caught up
- 29:36in an illegal immigration situation and even though
- 29:40she might be an illegal immigrant,
- 29:41she's really sympathetic and you feel really bad for her.
- 29:43Now they're they're embracing people like
- 29:45Abrego Garcia.
- 29:47And they're saying,
- 29:48hey,
- 29:48we're going to tie our futures
- 29:50to illegal immigrants that have committed massive
- 29:52crimes that have beat their wives,
- 29:54that have done all these terrible things.
- 29:56And I don't know if it's just like
- 29:57brazenness.
- 29:58I don't know what's the change here,
- 30:00or they just run out of good people to find as examples.
- 30:04But no longer are they looking for the Rosa Parks example,
- 30:07someone who's a wonderful
- 30:10person that everyone seems to love as soon as they meet her.
- 30:12They're now finding these people that have committed these terrible crimes
- 30:15and celebrating them the exact same way.
- 30:17What is the strategy?
- 30:19I,
- 30:19hey,
- 30:19listen,
- 30:20if you can figure out AOC,
- 30:22let me know,
- 30:23Stu,
- 30:23because that's where we're at.
- 30:24Like she moved everybody that way.
- 30:27And it's always a,
- 30:27what have you done for me lately,
- 30:29and everything is a crisis.
- 30:30So you have to go hard left every single time.
- 30:33You saw this with Schumer a couple of times,
- 30:35you know,
- 30:35he voted,
- 30:36he voted for one of Trump's budgets,
- 30:37and they immediately wanted to like expel him from Congress.
- 30:40Congress,
- 30:40which by the way,
- 30:41a lot of us would be fine with here in New York.
- 30:43But this was the Dems actually saying it because it didn't matter
- 30:46that he'd done 70 years of work for them in Congress.
- 30:49This one particular thing was a bridge too far for
- 30:52them because everything is a bridge too far for them.
- 30:54And that's how it rolls,
- 30:55and that's how they roll now.
- 30:57I mean,
- 30:58listen,
- 30:59it's that line from that old Dick Tracy.
- 31:01Movie Warren Beatty back
- 31:03500 years ago where
- 31:04Al Pacino is flat top says,
- 31:06I'm looking for generals and what do I got?
- 31:08Foot soldiers.
- 31:09New York is full of elected foot soldiers,
- 31:12and then if the New York City mayor raises any indication,
- 31:14that ain't gonna change anytime soon.
- 31:17Oh,
- 31:17well,
- 31:17let me ask you one more last question about,
- 31:19uh,
- 31:19New York's favorite daughter,
- 31:20AOC.
- 31:21You brought her up before.
- 31:22Uh,
- 31:23you see her,
- 31:23she's been very much in the news as she always is.
- 31:25She's always,
- 31:26uh,
- 31:26trying to make a big name for herself.
- 31:28She did do a bunch of these
- 31:30rallies across the country
- 31:32with Bernie Sanders,
- 31:33and I don't know,
- 31:34part of me watched that happen,
- 31:35and it felt like
- 31:37a sort of pass.
- 31:38of the torch
- 31:39when it comes to the socialist wing of the Democratic Party.
- 31:42Sanders saying,
- 31:43all right,
- 31:43finally I'm,
- 31:44I'm old enough,
- 31:45uh,
- 31:45we need a new voice,
- 31:46and they did these events together.
- 31:48So Doug,
- 31:48you know her,
- 31:49you've,
- 31:49you've watched her over the years.
- 31:50Do you,
- 31:51do you,
- 31:51what's your gut?
- 31:52Is she going to run for president here?
- 31:54Uh,
- 31:55I mean,
- 31:55there's a lot of talk.
- 31:56There's governor here in New York,
- 31:57I Hookels up next year,
- 31:58as you know,
- 31:59and Delgado's running,
- 32:00but nobody likes either of them.
- 32:01So who knows?
- 32:03Uh,
- 32:03maybe in 4 years she does.
- 32:05She's gonna do something.
- 32:06On,
- 32:07on what basis,
- 32:08would she run for president?
- 32:09I know nobody needs any reason anymore.
- 32:12Nobody needs any like
- 32:13cred or resume because what does AOC have on the resume exactly?
- 32:18But it's just stupid enough to actually seem like it could happen,
- 32:22right?
- 32:22I mean,
- 32:22you know,
- 32:23when you.
- 32:23You said,
- 32:24what happened to the party,
- 32:26Stu?
- 32:27Do you remember unions in like 1920s?
- 32:29Like there was a reason for them.
- 32:31Like people were falling into the meat
- 32:33machines and dying and they're working.
- 32:35OK,
- 32:35so the unions did do something,
- 32:37but in the 2020s now,
- 32:39we're fighting for like 3-day work weeks
- 32:41and we're fighting for 17,000 holidays off and
- 32:45they,
- 32:45they've sort of run out of things.
- 32:46And this is what's happened with the left.
- 32:48Those causes that you've touched on,
- 32:50Stu,
- 32:50you know,
- 32:51the parent that
- 32:52had the kid take.
- 32:53They've run those.
- 32:54And so now they started throwing out crazy stuff like $20 an hour,
- 32:58minimum wage or green new deals or banning gas stoves and all that stuff.
- 33:02And they've realized that there's no consequences for being crazy.
- 33:06So they keep diving into that end of the pool and they keep going with it.
- 33:09And what's nuts is,
- 33:11we all sit here,
- 33:12especially in New York.
- 33:13I mean,
- 33:13New York,
- 33:13California,
- 33:14and Massachusetts,
- 33:15I would say that's the holy trinity of craziness.
- 33:18We let this stuff go on day after day.
- 33:21Local.
- 33:22said
- 33:23out loud on the Brad Lander case,
- 33:25Stu.
- 33:26She said,
- 33:27not only did he get arrested,
- 33:28but he's an elected official.
- 33:29How outrageous is that?
- 33:30As if somehow,
- 33:32like she's playing a,
- 33:33do you know who he is card.
- 33:35We all know that's how they think that they're more special than everybody else.
- 33:39She said it out loud and everybody went,
- 33:41yeah,
- 33:42what are you gonna do?
- 33:42I mean,
- 33:42that's what they think.
- 33:43Nobody had,
- 33:44there's no consequences for it.
- 33:46She said she wouldn't raise taxes this year because she didn't want any
- 33:49more rich New Yorkers moving to Palm Beach.
- 33:52She's acknowledging that Democratic fiscal policy is killing New York,
- 33:57but
- 33:58everybody's like,
- 33:58well,
- 33:58what are you gonna do?
- 33:59I mean,
- 33:59she's the governor.
- 34:00It's just crazy.
- 34:02Yeah,
- 34:02and,
- 34:02and to go back on the lander thing for a second,
- 34:05this is a state that brought about 500
- 34:07charges against the president of the United States,
- 34:10the former president at that time.
- 34:12Uh,
- 34:12the,
- 34:13the fact that they're now all obsessed
- 34:15with public officials being charged with crimes,
- 34:17they can't believe anyone would do it,
- 34:18Doug.
- 34:19That's shocking.
- 34:21It all stems from AOC.
- 34:22Remember that time when the guy,
- 34:24the,
- 34:24the security guard was trying to escort her out of some,
- 34:27whatever the soup du jour protest of the day was.
- 34:30And AOC's walking and then she looks and she sees a TV camera,
- 34:33and she immediately puts her hands behind her back and goes,
- 34:36ah.
- 34:37Except somebody else had a camera behind her and
- 34:38her hands were not handcuffed in any way.
- 34:41She put them there because everything's performative art.
- 34:43And we all laughed about that,
- 34:45Stu,
- 34:45but that somehow worked for her.
- 34:47So Brad Lander just sees that and goes,
- 34:49hey,
- 34:49I can do that too.
- 34:50Padilla did it in Congress and people seem to like it.
- 34:53And they're all doing this now.
- 34:54They're all chasing this cosplay
- 34:57unicorn and it seems to be
- 34:59Working for him I mean Lander's not gonna win,
- 35:01you know,
- 35:01the primary or anything,
- 35:03but I actually think he's like,
- 35:04yeah,
- 35:04this was pretty good.
- 35:05As they review the tape,
- 35:06they're like,
- 35:06Oh,
- 35:06that was good,
- 35:07especially when you threw your head back and you looked like you were hurting.
- 35:10I mean,
- 35:10it's just all nonsense.
- 35:12One wonders what the next street performance is going to be from these guys.
- 35:15Yeah,
- 35:15so true,
- 35:16and the incentives are so messed up.
- 35:17I mean,
- 35:17you do these things and even if it doesn't help you or your party.
- 35:21Uh,
- 35:21it might not help you win an election,
- 35:22but now people know who he is and he rightly raises more money and,
- 35:26and on and on and on.
- 35:27Uh,
- 35:27Doug Gowdy,
- 35:27former WGY morning host,
- 35:29uh,
- 35:30keeping an eye on New York so we don't have to.
- 35:32Uh,
- 35:32Doug,
- 35:32so much.
- 35:33Uh,
- 35:33I appreciate it.
- 35:34Thanks so much.
- 35:34It is this gray.
- 35:36I didn't have it before I started following New York politics too.
- 35:39Very true.
- 35:40Thanks,
- 35:40Doug.

- 36:47including the risk of loss.
- 36:48This is a paid endorsement,
- 36:49and I am a client of the firm.
- 36:51My opinions,
- 36:51of course,
- 36:52however,
- 36:53are always
- 36:53my own.
- 36:57Well,
- 36:59Uh,
- 36:59I know we don't have a TikTok page.
- 37:01I will never have a TikTok page.
- 37:02I don't,
- 37:02first of all,
- 37:03I hate it.
- 37:04Uh,
- 37:04secondly,
- 37:05I don't necessarily want to have that kind
- 37:07of intimate relationship with the Chinese Communist Party,
- 37:10so I'm not on it.
- 37:11I don't have an account.
- 37:12I will never have an account.
- 37:13That being said,
- 37:16We need to make up our mind about TikTok as a country,
- 37:19OK?
- 37:20We passed a law,
- 37:21a law
- 37:22that said that TikTok was essentially,
- 37:25I mean,
- 37:25it said a bunch of different things,
- 37:26but
- 37:27it was the TikTok ban law,
- 37:28you'll remember this.
- 37:29And the idea was that this is a real,
- 37:31uh,
- 37:31threat to our,
- 37:32uh,
- 37:32security,
- 37:33and,
- 37:34uh,
- 37:34everyone at the time was like,
- 37:35oh yeah,
- 37:36it is,
- 37:36and,
- 37:36uh,
- 37:37China's too far,
- 37:37and this,
- 37:38this passed overwhelmingly,
- 37:39uh,
- 37:39through the House and Senate and was put into
- 37:42effect as uh,
- 37:43as it was signed into law.
- 37:47Part of that law
- 37:48allowed for a
- 37:50a one,
- 37:50a single
- 37:5190 day delay
- 37:53in implementing this ban if a deal was imminent.
- 37:56I don't remember the exact phrasing of it,
- 37:58but it was basically like if we're they're in the middle of the deal,
- 38:00it had already been agreed upon and it was in the process of happening,
- 38:03they could have a 90 day delay
- 38:05where that was happening,
- 38:06because the idea was not necessarily to ban TikTok,
- 38:08it was to have a United States company take ownership of it.
- 38:11I don't know that it would have made that much of a difference anyway.
- 38:13That being said,
- 38:14it's not happening.
- 38:15The law is in effect,
- 38:17but it is just being ignored.
- 38:19Donald Trump,
- 38:20uh,
- 38:20put this out on Truth Social.
- 38:22I've just signed an executive order extending the deadline for TikTok,
- 38:25closing for another 30 days.
- 38:26Thank you for the attention to this matter.
- 38:28And he did do that.
- 38:29That is not legal,
- 38:31however,
- 38:31it is not,
- 38:32this is illegal.
- 38:33Everything that's happening now is illegal.
- 38:35I'm not blaming Donald Trump
- 38:36solely for this.
- 38:38He likes TikTok now.
- 38:39Everyone else seems to like TikTok.
- 38:40We've all just forgotten about all those concerns about security,
- 38:43and now everyone seems to like TikTok,
- 38:44and that's fine.
- 38:45If that's what you want,
- 38:47you can have that.
- 38:48If that's the world you want,
- 38:49you can have that world.
- 38:50The way you have that world is by passing a law that allows for it.
- 38:54You can't just
- 38:55ignore it.
- 38:56And when I say it like Donald Trump is,
- 38:58yes,
- 38:58he's the one signing the executive order.
- 39:00Every single thing Donald Trump does gets challenged by the left,
- 39:03and they're not challenging any of this.
- 39:05They're not doing anything about it.
- 39:06They're just sitting back and just letting this
- 39:08all happen.
- 39:10Now,
- 39:10one,
- 39:10I'd be worried if I were in the Trump administration,
- 39:12like,
- 39:12are they like luring us into something?
- 39:14Are they gonna come after us with this later?
- 39:16I don't know,
- 39:16we'll see.
- 39:17I don't think Trump really worries about such things,
- 39:19but,
- 39:20uh,
- 39:20you know,
- 39:20there'd be some concerns about whether the left is just
- 39:22holding their fire right now for the right time because
- 39:26this is not a legal act.
- 39:27You can't just ignore this,
- 39:28you can't.
- 39:30There's nothing in the law that allows for now 390 day delays on this.
- 39:35It just doesn't exist.
- 39:36So what you can do is go to Congress,
- 39:39pass a law,
- 39:40a law that says we need 90 more days,
- 39:42or you could say what they really seem to want,
- 39:44which is actually we don't really want a ban anymore because
- 39:47we keep doing well and it's helping me raise money.
- 39:49So now we want the TikTok thing to go away.
- 39:52You could pass a law that says that former ban is no longer in effect.
- 39:55That's fine too.
- 39:56But you have to do one of those things.
- 39:58You can't just keep,
- 39:59you can't,
- 40:00you can't just keep ignoring the law.
- 40:02I don't care who's doing it,
- 40:03I don't care what side is doing it.
- 40:04In this case,
- 40:04it's all sides doing it.
- 40:06Either way,
- 40:06it's wrong.
- 40:07Pass freaking laws if you want things done.
- 40:12Buss family allowed is now going to sell the Lakers
- 40:15to Mark Walter for a $10 billion valuation.
- 40:18I mainly bring this up
- 40:19largely because
- 40:21Mark Cuban keeps telling us he's this brilliant businessman.
- 40:25And the Luke Adania trade had nothing to do with him.
- 40:27It was not his choice.
- 40:28And everyone says that was really bad,
- 40:29and it was.
- 40:31But it might be worse
- 40:32to sell the Mavs at a $3.5 billion
- 40:36valuation,
- 40:37like a year
- 40:39before the Lakers sell for $10 billion
- 40:41and the Celtics sell for $7.
- 40:45And a new expansion franchise is likely coming into
- 40:48play for like 6 or 7 billion as well.
- 40:51That's just a bad business move,
- 40:53and stop telling us how we're supposed to run the country and our economy,
- 40:57Mark.
- 40:57That's just not going to work.
- 40:58Finally,
- 40:58Arnold Schwarzenegger reveals how he and
- 41:00Sylvester Stallone ended their feud after
- 41:03doing nasty things
- 41:05to each other.
- 41:06There has to be a better way
- 41:08to make that headline work.
- 41:10I'm just saying,
- 41:11by the way,
- 41:11there's a need to know segment
- 41:13in here if you want to in the article,
- 41:15and I am going to be clear with you,
- 41:16there's absolutely nothing
- 41:18that you need to know
- 41:19about that story.
- 41:34When the time comes for you to move,
- 41:35whether it's in the same town or anywhere else in the country,
- 41:38you're going to want a real estate agent,
- 41:40and you're going to want not just any agent,
- 41:42you're going to want someone who knows what they're doing,
- 41:44not fly by night people who just don't cut it.
- 41:47You want somebody
- 41:48real who understands what you're trying to do.
- 41:51And Glenn,
- 41:51he found this out years ago when he was moving around a lot.
- 41:54He got tired of dealing with mediocre agents on the right,
- 41:57uh,
- 41:57and on the left,
- 41:58and everywhere he turned,
- 42:00so he created a free service.

- 42:38OK,
- 42:38so here's what happened.
- 42:40German politician
- 42:41wanted to promote tourism,
- 42:43so they came up with the most obvious solution.
- 42:45German politician invites the entire
- 42:47country to educational nudist swinger holiday
- 42:50and training camp with outdoor sex.
- 42:53Obviously,
- 42:54uh,
- 42:54that's what you would do in that situation.
- 42:56Now I will say,
- 42:57uh,
- 42:57the training camp
- 42:59is just a bunch of people having sex before the actual nudist camp.
- 43:04So,
- 43:04I think he's just him trying to have sex,
- 43:06I,
- 43:07I think.
- 43:07And by the way,
- 43:08here he is,
- 43:08uh,
- 43:09he does have a sign in front of his uh
- 43:12special parts.
- 43:13Um,
- 43:13I will say it's always dudes though.
- 43:15It's always dudes inviting you to the nudist camps,
- 43:17isn't it?
- 43:18It's just not a lot of ladies doing that,
- 43:21fortunately.
- 43:21I will say
- 43:22this is the worst.
- 43:25Check that.
- 43:26It's the 2nd worst idea I can think of from German politicians,
- 43:30uh,
- 43:30so.
- 43:32There's one that's
- 43:33considerably worse,
- 43:33but this is pretty bad.
