- 2:37Speaker 1: this episode, was there a takeaway or anything like that?
- 2:40Speaker 1: It was hard. This episode was boring, pretty boring.
- 2:44Speaker 2: But these people are weird as fuck, that's my takeaway.
- 2:47Speaker 2: They're weirdos, they're degenerates. I don't trust Nathaniel Richard's whatsoever,
- 2:53Speaker 2: especially after learning about his arrest that he had just
- 2:57Speaker 2: a year ago. We're two, so yeah, they're weird.
- 3:02Speaker 1: I thought they were weird too. I mean, you look
- 3:03Speaker 1: at somebody like Nathaniel Richard, is it Richard or Richards whatever?
- 3:07Speaker 1: I don't care talk about mid yeh. He's probably five two,
- 3:12Speaker 1: he's wearing lifts. I don't know how he bagged his
- 3:15Speaker 1: first wife, Rebecca, with like this long auburn hair, very beautiful,
- 3:20Speaker 1: and then he got another woman that wasn't entirely repugnant.
- 3:23Speaker 1: How does a guy like this attract actual women into
- 3:26Speaker 1: his life? And then he has nine children with Rebecca,
- 3:30Speaker 1: and those kids are so beautiful, but they seem scared
- 3:35Speaker 1: and sad and nervous, and I was just like, what
- 3:39Speaker 1: the fuck is going on?
- 3:41Speaker 2: Why are we visiting these fucking weirdos.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Why are we pretending this is okay? You can tell
- 3:46Speaker 1: actually that the Browns are kind of scheth. Oh yeah,
- 3:49Speaker 1: like these people are strange. Yeah, but they're putting on
- 3:52Speaker 1: a happy face to get through it. I guess, I
- 3:54Speaker 1: don't know.
- 3:54Speaker 2: I mean, everybody's getting a TLC paycheck.
- 3:56Speaker 1: I yes, so looks like the richards need it.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I'm not class Jami. Okay, I'm sorry, but I'm just like,
- 4:07Speaker 1: why do you have nine kids? You have all these
- 4:10Speaker 1: cats running around and they don't have collars and were dogs,
- 4:14Speaker 1: and there's chickens and goats, and I'm like, what are
- 4:16Speaker 1: you doing?
- 4:17Speaker 2: And only two of you work the other one has
- 4:19Speaker 2: to stay at home or whatever. I don't know.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Sorry, I don't mean to be judgemental, Yeah you do,
- 4:25Speaker 1: I do. I do mean to be judgemental. Anyway, take
- 4:27Speaker 1: it away, Beatrice. We are in season seven. This is
- 4:30Speaker 1: episode seven untitled.
- 4:32Speaker 2: From Monogamy to Polygamy, and that's like the whole theme
- 4:35Speaker 2: of this episode really. So we start off on the
- 4:39Speaker 2: last leg of the road trip. We're one hundred miles
- 4:41Speaker 2: away from Springfield, Missouri. Beautiful and exotic Springfield Missouri, and
- 4:47Speaker 2: we're gonna go meet the Richards family, who are biblical polygamists.
- 4:51Speaker 2: They're not Mormons. They are like Gary Garrick Maryfield of Denver, Colorado,
- 4:58Speaker 2: where they the Old Testament and they're like, oh, hey,
- 5:02Speaker 2: this dude had five wives. It must be all right, right,
- 5:05Speaker 2: and I want to bang more women, so let's get
- 5:08Speaker 2: it on. So I don't know, Christine's the only one
- 5:12Speaker 2: that's like reserved about it. Everyone else is like, yeah,
- 5:15Speaker 2: it would be great to meet them and get their
- 5:17Speaker 2: perspective and get the TLC paycheck. And Christine's like, what
- 5:21Speaker 2: if they're weirdos?
- 5:22Speaker 1: Though She's always got some sort of a reservation with
- 5:26Speaker 1: other people and outsiders like Ken. And then I think
- 5:30Speaker 1: they go and visit somebody else and she gets into
- 5:32Speaker 1: an argument with Cody. I don't know, like she just
- 5:35Speaker 1: doesn't seem to want to invite other people into her experience.
- 5:38Speaker 2: No, not at all. And then when they finally arrive
- 5:41Speaker 2: at the Richards family's humble abode, and this is not humble,
- 5:47Speaker 2: it's quite small it.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Is, and I'm like, are fine, but for nine kids?
- 5:51Speaker 2: Well nine kids, and then you have twenty five thousand
- 5:54Speaker 2: people pulling up in three RVs, and you've got Kendra
- 5:58Speaker 2: also in her minivan. It's like that or yeah whatever,
- 6:04Speaker 2: the nanny Robin's biach over in her mini van. Like
- 6:08Speaker 2: everybody's here pulling up in this bum fuck neighborhood and
- 6:13Speaker 2: it's like the middle of the night. It looks like
- 6:15Speaker 2: the middle of the night. It's like looking really scary
- 6:18Speaker 2: and weird.
- 6:19Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 6:19Speaker 2: And then we meet Nathaniel Rebecca and who's the Christine.
- 6:24Speaker 2: So Nathaniel and Rebecca had been married for thirteen years,
- 6:29Speaker 2: and then Nathaniel and Christina had only been married for
- 6:32Speaker 2: five years, so she's obviously the side piece. And they
- 6:37Speaker 2: start off their introduction being like, yeah, we're kind of private,
- 6:41Speaker 2: like we're not really out in the open, but there's
- 6:44Speaker 2: a lot of people in our area that are hiding
- 6:46Speaker 2: out as polygamists here. And Janelle is immediately like uncomfortable
- 6:51Speaker 2: because she's like, doude, realize what we're doing here. We're
- 6:53Speaker 2: totally outing you on national.
- 6:55Speaker 1: You're come hell go?
- 6:57Speaker 2: I mean is that how that goes? I don't know.
- 7:00Speaker 1: From ninety day fiance Oh here come hel goo, I forget,
- 7:03Speaker 1: but oh here it comes. You guys are about to learn.
- 7:05Speaker 2: The cost of fame yep. And then they organize all
- 7:10Speaker 2: of their kids, like all of the Richards family's kids,
- 7:13Speaker 2: and like a line up against the wall. They have
- 7:17Speaker 2: to be I think they're like an age secession or something.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Like that, or size, I don't know.
- 7:23Speaker 2: It was really weird. They had them all lined up,
- 7:25Speaker 2: they had to introduce themselves. They're all very well behaved,
- 7:28Speaker 2: but they're scared. They're scared, and you have to ask
- 7:31Speaker 2: why they're scared. They have a legitimate role call for
- 7:34Speaker 2: these children in front of Cody Brown and the Brown family,
- 7:38Speaker 2: which is the most disorganized, chaotic but seemingly happy, go
- 7:43Speaker 2: lucky family on television. So it was just kind of
- 7:46Speaker 2: a weird contrast. To me, I'm like, what's going on
- 7:49Speaker 2: in the Richards family home? It was awkward af And
- 7:52Speaker 2: then you have little Gwen, who's only like, I don't know,
- 7:55Speaker 2: nine over here. She's like the most based one. She
- 7:58Speaker 2: says something like if you have complete control of your family,
- 8:01Speaker 2: then something went wrong somewhere like that's not natural and
- 8:04Speaker 2: not normal out.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Of the mouth of babes.
- 8:06Speaker 2: I know. I was like, dang, you based when at
- 8:09Speaker 2: the ripe old age of nine, but like all these
- 8:11Speaker 2: kids are lined up against the wall. They're very quiet,
- 8:14Speaker 2: very polite, but very like orderly and what's the word
- 8:19Speaker 2: like subservient to their parents. And the Richards family seems
- 8:24Speaker 2: to be so proud about that and seems to be
- 8:26Speaker 2: weirdly like, yep, that's what we do in our family.
- 8:28Speaker 2: It's great, We're happy, go lucky. And then we proceed
- 8:31Speaker 2: to do.
- 8:32Speaker 1: A passover satyr satyr meal, yes, which was so strange
- 8:38Speaker 1: to me. Not the not the Sator, because I know
- 8:40Speaker 1: that's cultural and I really can't comment on that, but
- 8:43Speaker 1: like how they conducted it, it was very odd. Nathaniel
- 8:48Speaker 1: is reciting this prayer. Cody gets very competitive and he's like, well,
- 8:53Speaker 1: I can say that prayer and Hebrew, can you. Nathaniel's like, okay,
- 8:57Speaker 1: I said a Negbrew then, and then so Cody has
- 8:59Speaker 1: to stay and say the prayer in Hebrew. Ringe. It
- 9:03Speaker 1: was just all very strange.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Well, and did you see the meal on everyone's plate?
- 9:08Speaker 1: So it was also very strange. But I don't know
- 9:10Speaker 1: if that's a cultural thing. It's supposed to depict the
- 9:13Speaker 1: Israelites leaving Egypt, and the story that they're telling during
- 9:18Speaker 1: the satyr is about the plagues and the Pharaoh and
- 9:21Speaker 1: the food. That's what I think that's what it was. Oh,
- 9:25Speaker 1: we don't know, and I think that's like a Jewish tradition,
- 9:27Speaker 1: all right, but again I don't know.
- 9:29Speaker 2: I won't be offensive then. And so everybody's lined up
- 9:32Speaker 2: at the table, Cody's speaking Hebrew, okay, Cody, and the
- 9:37Speaker 2: Richard's family is celebrating Passover, I guess. And then we
- 9:41Speaker 2: have like this weird segue where everybody's about to eat,
- 9:45Speaker 2: and the Richard's family is like, oh, we have this
- 9:47Speaker 2: like really quirky tradition where we can't take a bite
- 9:51Speaker 2: unless we all do it at the exact same time,
- 9:53Speaker 2: and so we're gonna do that because that means we
- 9:55Speaker 2: love each other. And so then they like count down
- 9:57Speaker 2: and all of the adults and the family like eat
- 10:01Speaker 2: their bite literally at the exact same time. And I
- 10:04Speaker 2: think Rebecca or one of them, I think Christina says
- 10:07Speaker 2: like when she's at work or whatever, if Nathaniel's at work,
- 10:09Speaker 2: he'll like call her on the phone and be like,
- 10:11Speaker 2: I'm about to take a bite to eat.
- 10:13Speaker 1: These people are weird, what is going on? And so
- 10:15Speaker 1: they're sharing this story as if it's endearing. I know,
- 10:18Speaker 1: and then we pan over to the couch and Christine's like,
- 10:21Speaker 1: I'm glad we don't have to do that, Cody, I'm
- 10:24Speaker 1: glad you're not quirky in that way. Obviously, they thought
- 10:27Speaker 1: it was very strange, and when Rebecca was describing this tradition,
- 10:32Speaker 1: she was talking about it coming out of an argument
- 10:35Speaker 1: that she had with Nathaniel, because she wanted to make
- 10:39Speaker 1: sure Nathaniel is the man of the house and the
- 10:42Speaker 1: Holy priest got to eat first. But Nathaniel's like, no, baby,
- 10:47Speaker 1: you're my number one, you should eat first. And so
- 10:50Speaker 1: they argued about it, and then they decided to compromise.
- 10:53Speaker 1: You know what, let's both eat at the same time.
- 10:56Speaker 1: And then they visited that bullshit onto all of their children,
- 11:00Speaker 1: and ultimately Christina and these kids do not step one
- 11:05Speaker 1: foot out of line. They wait until they can take
- 11:08Speaker 1: a bite.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Yep.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Nobody's really talking at the table except for the Browns, Like,
- 11:13Speaker 1: I think we need to call CPS.
- 11:14Speaker 2: I'm just saying, I know, it's fucking weird. Like the
- 11:17Speaker 2: whole family is just bizarre, and like you could give
- 11:19Speaker 2: them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe it's just TV
- 11:23Speaker 2: and they're just trying to be on their best behavior
- 11:26Speaker 2: because there they have a bunch of cameras in their face.
- 11:28Speaker 2: But I don't know. It was just odd. Even when
- 11:31Speaker 2: they were doing the roll call, and like Cody was
- 11:33Speaker 2: trying to tease one of the younger boys about being
- 11:36Speaker 2: a cute redhead and how Aspen would have thought he
- 11:38Speaker 2: was so handsome, how cute. That was weird. But then
- 11:41Speaker 2: he like, the kid gets up and leaves and he's embarrassed.
- 11:44Speaker 1: He's embarrassed, he's sad. But also, Cody, what are you doing?
- 11:47Speaker 1: You know, Aspen's in college, this kid looks about five
- 11:50Speaker 1: or six years old. What are you talking about matchmaking
- 11:53Speaker 1: with these two? It was just so.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Bizarre, And Cody made kind of an inappropriate comment about
- 11:59Speaker 2: his own kid because said something like, Aspen's pretty no
- 12:02Speaker 2: matter what age you are. And I'm like, what did
- 12:05Speaker 2: you just say that strange? That's fucking weird, man, Everyone's weird.
- 12:10Speaker 2: And so everybody eats their little passover meal, and then
- 12:14Speaker 2: I guess everybody sleeps in the RV's or something, or.
- 12:17Speaker 1: They go to their hotels or something. Yeah, or maybe
- 12:20Speaker 1: they crashed on the Richard's couch or in their bed
- 12:23Speaker 1: where they all slept. Yeah, all the adults sleep in
- 12:26Speaker 1: one bed like Davis is in Denver, And I just
- 12:30Speaker 1: have to throw something out and let me ask you
- 12:32Speaker 1: a question. Have you ever walked into a house or
- 12:35Speaker 1: a place where you've never been before, you don't know
- 12:38Speaker 1: anybody there, really, this is your first experience in the space.
- 12:43Speaker 1: But like as soon as you step over the threshold,
- 12:45Speaker 1: it's like this is a weird vibration. Oh yeah, this
- 12:49Speaker 1: is a dark energy, like, yeah, something bad has happened here,
- 12:53Speaker 1: or like I just can't get comfortable in this place. Yep,
- 12:56Speaker 1: that's what I was seeing through the television in this house,
- 12:59Speaker 1: Like there's just dark energy. Yeah, that's what it felt
- 13:02Speaker 1: like to me. And to learn that Nathaniel was involved
- 13:07Speaker 1: in some domestic violence, which we're gonna get to at
- 13:09Speaker 1: the very end of this video. I'm just like that
- 13:11Speaker 1: tracks because those kids again are they're very very scared, yep, seeming,
- 13:17Speaker 1: they're very sad, seeming there's some bad things that are
- 13:19Speaker 1: happening in this house. In my opinion, I agree, allegedly allegedly,
- 13:23Speaker 1: allegedly it's giving bad vibes.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Yes, And so the next day, after their little passive
- 13:29Speaker 2: or satyr, we have breakfast with the Richards, and it's
- 13:33Speaker 2: just kind of awkward and weird. And this is where
- 13:36Speaker 2: we get into more of a conversation about like why
- 13:39Speaker 2: they chose polygamy and how they came about this revelation.
- 13:44Speaker 2: I guess I think Nathaniel is the one that was
- 13:47Speaker 2: saying that it was part of the Old and New
- 13:50Speaker 2: Testament and the Bible, and so therefore it's okay.
- 13:54Speaker 1: He didn't say it like that. He referred to it
- 13:56Speaker 1: as the old New Testament. I don't know if there
- 14:01Speaker 1: are instances of polygamy in the New Testament. I don't
- 14:05Speaker 1: think so. Somebody would have to correct me on that.
- 14:07Speaker 1: It's certainly all over the Old Testament. Yeah, and when
- 14:12Speaker 1: we go to dinner later they kind of get into
- 14:14Speaker 1: it a little bit more. But it's like the idea
- 14:17Speaker 1: is essentially, if you can find it in the Bible,
- 14:20Speaker 1: that means you can do it.
- 14:21Speaker 2: It's gucci.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I mean, if we're stoning kids out here because they
- 14:24Speaker 1: wore the wrong fabric, we can do it in the
- 14:26Speaker 1: year of our Lord twenty twenty.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Six, it's all right.
- 14:28Speaker 1: So that's his whole premise for banging all these women.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Yeah, it's so weird and it's just like Gerrick Maryfield,
- 14:34Speaker 2: because I think he said the exact same thing in
- 14:37Speaker 2: like season one of Seeking Sister Wife. He's like, yeah,
- 14:39Speaker 2: it's in the Old Testament. I don't think he said
- 14:41Speaker 2: it was in the New Testament.
- 14:42Speaker 1: So as murderer in Jennacide, that's in the Old Testament too.
- 14:46Speaker 1: But it's bad Gerrick, it's bad Nathaniel.
- 14:49Speaker 2: But they just want poon. That's all they care about.
- 14:53Speaker 2: And then they go all outside and they're like looking
- 14:56Speaker 2: around their property and they've got goats and chickens running
- 14:59Speaker 2: everywhere because they're like out on a farm, they around
- 15:01Speaker 2: the country, and Christine is just like, I could never
- 15:05Speaker 2: I could never have a goat. I could never have
- 15:07Speaker 2: chickens running around. I wish the cameras would have panned
- 15:10Speaker 2: over to Robin, who is the serial animal hater.
- 15:12Speaker 1: She's probably kicking some chickens somewhere in the back. She
- 15:16Speaker 1: probably was just beefing with some goat.
- 15:20Speaker 2: I would have loved to see her get sucked up
- 15:22Speaker 2: by a rooster though, or like.
- 15:24Speaker 1: A ram just get her.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, so awesome. But she's probably at the hotel
- 15:28Speaker 2: with her nanny, so she's probably not even there. But anyway,
- 15:31Speaker 2: Christine has this little conversation with Abigail, who's one of
- 15:35Speaker 2: the Richard's daughters.
- 15:37Speaker 1: So pretty, she looks like she's ten or eleven years old.
- 15:40Speaker 1: She has sad eyes yep, they all do. And she's
- 15:43Speaker 1: entering into a conversation with Christine about the hens and
- 15:46Speaker 1: how the hens follow the rooster around and the rooster
- 15:51Speaker 1: protects the hens, and it becomes this allegory for is
- 15:55Speaker 1: that the right word. It becomes an example of polygamy. Yeah,
- 15:58Speaker 1: so this is why it makes sense that women follow men.
- 16:02Speaker 1: And Christine is sitting there listening to this child talk
- 16:05Speaker 1: about it in this way, and she's just so enthralled,
- 16:08Speaker 1: I know, and so happy. She's like, oh my god,
- 16:10Speaker 1: you're amazing. That is so amusing. I believe in the
- 16:15Speaker 1: same thing as you. And I'm like, no, this child
- 16:18Speaker 1: needs help.
- 16:19Speaker 2: She's brainwas And then.
- 16:20Speaker 1: She goes on to say that she's picked on at
- 16:22Speaker 1: school because of polygamy and she doesn't understand why it's
- 16:26Speaker 1: so bad. And Christine being dumb, yeah, being unintelligent, no offense,
- 16:31Speaker 1: she's does not know how to talk to this child.
- 16:33Speaker 1: In that moment, I felt so bad for Abigail, I.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Know, well, and Christine's like, yeah, that happened to me too.
- 16:39Speaker 2: People hate polygamy. Ba ba bah. I'm like, oh my god,
- 16:42Speaker 2: how many times we have to say that? Shut up?
- 16:44Speaker 1: Christine?
- 16:46Speaker 2: She just stop. And this kid is obviously like ostracized,
- 16:49Speaker 2: not even just for that, like it's her family's fucking weird.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Although that doesn't mean that it's right for kids to
- 16:55Speaker 2: treat other kids differently. But kids are just kids. That's
- 16:58Speaker 2: just what they do. And then they go to some
- 17:01Speaker 2: Nathan Boone homestead or something.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Who cares. I'm like, was he a Mormon? I don't know,
- 17:10Speaker 1: was he a polygamist?
- 17:11Speaker 2: No, I don't know what anything, just.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Going to his homestead. He's the son of Daniel Boone,
- 17:16Speaker 1: I guess. And so Cody uses this as an opportunity
- 17:19Speaker 1: to talk about how Missouri out loued polygamy in the
- 17:22Speaker 1: eighteen hundreds with some sort of act called the Exterminate
- 17:26Speaker 1: Mormon Act Exterminate Mormon's.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Act, Mormon Extermination.
- 17:30Speaker 1: If they don't leave, we're going to exterminate them. Sorry,
- 17:34Speaker 1: Missouri was wilding out in the eighteen hundreds. So they
- 17:39Speaker 1: were talking about like just polygamous were soul persecuted? And yes,
- 17:43Speaker 1: they were, but yeah back then were weird too. Yeah,
- 17:45Speaker 1: they didn't want none of that drama in their state.
- 17:47Speaker 1: And can you blame them with Joseph Smith falling out
- 17:50Speaker 1: a window getting all these young children, big honest.
- 17:56Speaker 2: One. It's like if you think about it in the
- 17:58Speaker 2: context of like what was old timey polygamy, child brides
- 18:03Speaker 2: and child grape and child grape and abuse, so like, yeah,
- 18:07Speaker 2: maybe we should have exterminated them.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Don't say that whole on the internet. Not not like.
- 18:14Speaker 2: That we should exterminate people who abuse children.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Anyway, let's get sorry, we took a little bit of
- 18:20Speaker 1: a break because we had to go on a tangent.
- 18:22Speaker 1: It is for only patrons, because it is entirely in
- 18:25Speaker 1: a pertory for YouTube where we're where we're what we're
- 18:30Speaker 1: talking about Mormon and Mormon extermination, right, So that's bad. Yeah,
- 18:34Speaker 1: I mean we shouldn't be doing stuff like that, Beatrice.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Sure, No, yes, I'm not saying we should exterminate Mormons
- 18:39Speaker 2: or anybody or anyone. Well, well, roachesches, evil people.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Let's move on.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Anyway, Let's move on. And then the adults go to
- 18:49Speaker 2: dinner at Lambert Cafe, and this is where we open
- 18:53Speaker 2: up the conversation about uh, the Richard's family's degeneracy and
- 18:59Speaker 2: Nathaniel Richard being a total ho.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:04Speaker 2: So Nathaniel met Rebecca. He married her right away, right
- 19:09Speaker 2: away because he had to bang that sweet sweet poon and.
- 19:12Speaker 1: She's pretty, she is very pretty read it.
- 19:14Speaker 2: And they have a bunch of kids, and then they
- 19:17Speaker 2: would read the Bible every.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Day and got closer to gosh sure.
- 19:21Speaker 2: And this is when Nathaniel realized, well, God says I
- 19:27Speaker 2: can bang other women right well.
- 19:28Speaker 1: He phrases it so weird. He's like, I just happened
- 19:30Speaker 1: to notice that there wasn't any scripture or anything that
- 19:34Speaker 1: said I couldn't bang.
- 19:35Speaker 2: My do it.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Yeah, so that must mean I can do that. And
- 19:40Speaker 1: so he starts talking to Rebecca about it and she's like, okay,
- 19:43Speaker 1: well just because it's not ment whatever, She's like okay.
- 19:47Speaker 1: And then like while she's cooking one night, he's like,
- 19:50Speaker 1: you know, I need you to stay in the kitchen
- 19:52Speaker 1: and cook me my supper. But it would be really
- 19:55Speaker 1: awesome if there was a second Rebecca sitting here with
- 19:58Speaker 1: me on the couch that I could finger. And I
- 20:01Speaker 1: feel like there's a scripture that says I can do that.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Says I could do it, and Rebecca's like, absolutely not.
- 20:08Speaker 1: I'm feeling very attacked and betrayed by the idea of that.
- 20:12Speaker 1: And he's like, well, let's just look up some scriptures
- 20:14Speaker 1: and stuff and pull it over. Let's pray about it.
- 20:17Speaker 1: And then Nathaniel went to bed one night with his
- 20:19Speaker 1: little fucking body, little fucking body, his baby body, and
- 20:25Speaker 1: he goes to ben Andy has a dream and in
- 20:27Speaker 1: his dream he is married, and you know what, he's
- 20:31Speaker 1: married to this girl named Christina. Wow that he's seen
- 20:34Speaker 1: around church. Isn't that weird? He had a dream. So
- 20:36Speaker 1: he wakes up, he tells Rebecca and he's like, Rebecca's like,
- 20:38Speaker 1: don't even tell me. I already know it was Christina
- 20:40Speaker 1: in your dream, because it was God. Meanwhile, Christina across
- 20:45Speaker 1: Springfield is also having a dream, and in the dream
- 20:48Speaker 1: she's seeing her husband from the back though, but he's
- 20:51Speaker 1: got a specific hairstyle.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Yeah, And so then she's like.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Oh my god, Nathaniel has that hairstyle. This has to
- 20:58Speaker 1: be Jesus. And so as a result, re Becca was like,
- 21:02Speaker 1: you know what, let make Gallaine maxwell this. Let me
- 21:04Speaker 1: groom you into this weird ass fucked family Christina. So
- 21:08Speaker 1: you give me the second wife, go get a job,
- 21:10Speaker 1: bring me my money, and screw my man because I
- 21:13Speaker 1: don't want to.
- 21:14Speaker 2: I don't want to.
- 21:14Speaker 1: He's a very little pasty person and I'm not into it.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Thanks Christina.
- 21:20Speaker 2: And that's their story. Yeah, that's like literally what it is.
- 21:24Speaker 2: It came from God in the Bible, right, a divine union,
- 21:27Speaker 2: divine union from their wet dreams that they had collectively.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Because that's what it was.
- 21:33Speaker 2: It was because didn't he see like Christina not only
- 21:36Speaker 2: at church, but didn't they work together or something like that,
- 21:38Speaker 2: knew her before.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Yes, he's been lusting after Christina the entire time. It's
- 21:42Speaker 1: like all of those Reddit posts you read, yeahere like
- 21:45Speaker 1: this guy wants to open his marriage because he's already
- 21:48Speaker 1: got somebody in mind. Yeah, and the wife's like.
- 21:50Speaker 2: I mean, okay, I guess I'm uncomfortable by that.
- 21:53Speaker 1: And he immediately starts banging the girl that he's been
- 21:56Speaker 1: flirting with the entire time and probably banging as well,
- 21:58Speaker 1: and then you're just left as the third wheel. That's
- 22:01Speaker 1: your Rebecca.
- 22:02Speaker 2: It's like Yessela and Danny from Seeking Sister Wise last
- 22:06Speaker 2: season when we covered it's like a tale as old
- 22:09Speaker 2: as time, and so as Rebecca's recounting this to everybody,
- 22:12Speaker 2: all of the other wives are just like shocked. They're like,
- 22:15Speaker 2: what the fuck? And then Cody drops a bomb and says, oh, yeah,
- 22:20Speaker 2: Mary felt betrayed the same way that you did, Rebecca,
- 22:22Speaker 2: when I wanted to be a polygamist or something, which
- 22:25Speaker 2: I was surprised to.
- 22:26Speaker 1: I was as well. That was the most interesting revelation
- 22:29Speaker 1: from this episode.
- 22:30Speaker 2: And Mary confirms it on the count. She's like, yep,
- 22:33Speaker 2: I did have my reservations. I wasn't sure if I
- 22:35Speaker 2: was good enough for Cody or if he loved me enough.
- 22:39Speaker 2: And then you know, she had her lightning bolt in
- 22:42Speaker 2: her pussy or something that helped her accept this lifestyle.
- 22:47Speaker 1: I don't know that she ever accepted the lifestyle, and
- 22:50Speaker 1: she certainly in this episode didn't say that she had
- 22:52Speaker 1: some epiphany or a breakthrough. It sounds like they got married.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Mary comes from a polygamous family, so she understands the lifestyle,
- 23:03Speaker 1: but the moment Cody actually wants to open it up
- 23:06Speaker 1: and bring Janelle in, Mary feels the inevitable betrayal and
- 23:11Speaker 1: the shock and why am I not good enough? Which
- 23:13Speaker 1: just goes to show it doesn't matter how indoctrinated you
- 23:17Speaker 1: are into this polygamous cult. It hurts yep. It hurts women,
- 23:22Speaker 1: and it's gonna hurt children yep. And so Cody was
- 23:25Speaker 1: kind of saying, like, well, that's completely normal, Rebecca, that
- 23:28Speaker 1: you would feel betrayed and jealous because Mary did too,
- 23:30Speaker 1: and she came up in it. I'm like, no, she
- 23:33Speaker 1: felt that way because it's bad for women.
- 23:35Speaker 2: But that's like, what's so insidious about this whole thing
- 23:38Speaker 2: is that they frame it, like at least with the
- 23:41Speaker 2: Browns and like fundamentalist Mormons, like they frame it as
- 23:44Speaker 2: divine suffering or whatever, like this is your calling. You're
- 23:47Speaker 2: supposed to overcome all of these horrible, terrible feelings that
- 23:50Speaker 2: you're feeling by watching me bang other women in front
- 23:55Speaker 2: of you who are like near you or whatever. You
- 23:57Speaker 2: just have to deal with it. That's your cross to bear.
- 23:59Speaker 2: And it's so funny.
- 24:00Speaker 1: It is so so it makes me so mad.
- 24:03Speaker 2: And so I was surprised to hear that about Mary.
- 24:06Speaker 2: I'm like surprised, but also not surprised, because Mary had
- 24:09Speaker 2: always given the vibe to me that she was never
- 24:12Speaker 2: really okay.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Yeah, but I kind of thought. Maybe it was unconscious,
- 24:15Speaker 1: like she didn't really know that she was upset because
- 24:20Speaker 1: she felt betrayed or she felt unwanted. I just felt
- 24:23Speaker 1: like it was sort of her shadow expressing itself by
- 24:25Speaker 1: ostracizing Janelle and being generally a bit or whatever. But no,
- 24:29Speaker 1: she knew from the beginning, I don't want this, this
- 24:30Speaker 1: feels terrible, Please don't do it. But Cody did it anyway,
- 24:34Speaker 1: and so did you know?
- 24:35Speaker 2: Yep, and he did it with like the worst person
- 24:37Speaker 2: to do it with, honestly, her ex sister in law.
- 24:40Speaker 2: And they immediately start banging and popping out all these
- 24:43Speaker 2: kids like big yikes. And so after dinner, then they
- 24:48Speaker 2: go on some stupid cave thing cave excursion I do
- 24:52Speaker 2: not care whatsoever. And then they have a picnic at
- 24:56Speaker 2: the RV park. So I'm assuming this is where the
- 24:58Speaker 2: Browns are staying and not on their footy ass property
- 25:01Speaker 2: at the Richard's house, and this is where they have
- 25:05Speaker 2: more of a conversation about like their differences, because they've
- 25:08Speaker 2: already established now, Okay, you're biblical polygamists. We're more mom polygamists.
- 25:13Speaker 2: So let's figure out where we differ in terms of
- 25:16Speaker 2: I don't know, I guess ideology.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Practice or just how we organize our families.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Yeah, and this was interesting because they talk about like
- 25:23Speaker 2: sharing living quarters, and the Richard's family says that they
- 25:27Speaker 2: know a lot of people that share not only just
- 25:30Speaker 2: kitchens and houses and stuff, but sometimes they share bedrooms,
- 25:33Speaker 2: like the Davis family in or Colorado with their big
- 25:37Speaker 2: ass twelve foot bed. And when they say this, the
- 25:40Speaker 2: Browns are completely like scandalized, or le's what you know,
- 25:45Speaker 2: polygamists that share the bedrooms. And this is where I
- 25:48Speaker 2: think the family realized, Oh we met some degenerates.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Yes, some devians, some.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Gross as weird people. We didn't meet like fundamentalist Mormons
- 25:59Speaker 2: or fundamentalists Christians, even because I don't think any fundamentalists
- 26:05Speaker 2: sect really is like sharing a bedroom with all of
- 26:08Speaker 2: their twenty five wives. Maybe they are I don't know.
- 26:10Speaker 1: I mean, I just I had a clarifying question that
- 26:13Speaker 1: nobody asked at the picnic table, which is like, well,
- 26:15Speaker 1: do you guys fuck to each other? Everybody fucking? I?
- 26:18Speaker 1: Everybody fucking that bad? Like multiple beds in the bedroom
- 26:23Speaker 1: or all in one big bed? Does somebody get in
- 26:26Speaker 1: the middle and then you guys switch every night. You
- 26:28Speaker 1: guys just start the good but nobody asked that. I
- 26:31Speaker 1: don't know why, even Cody were scandalized. Well yeah, and
- 26:35Speaker 1: Cody's like, yeah, I remember when you know, we were
- 26:38Speaker 1: starting out in polygamy. Some older mentor lady said, yeah, no,
- 26:43Speaker 1: a wife owns her bedroom. A wife owns and is
- 26:47Speaker 1: in charge of her marital bed. It is hers, it
- 26:49Speaker 1: belongs to her. So that's just how they conduct themselves.
- 26:53Speaker 1: And it strikes him as very strange that these weird
- 26:55Speaker 1: ass white people in Missouri are staying in the same
- 26:58Speaker 1: bedroom probably fucking.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Probably well and was so did the Richards family say
- 27:03Speaker 2: that they shared a bit? They share your bedroom? Yeah?
- 27:06Speaker 2: I thought they were. I thought they were just talking
- 27:08Speaker 2: about people that they knew that when they.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Were on the couch talking not necessarily at the picnic,
- 27:15Speaker 1: but during this segment, like that's what I've heard, And
- 27:18Speaker 1: maybe it was my spirit that was just interpreting it,
- 27:20Speaker 1: but like my thought was, yeah, they are sharing a
- 27:23Speaker 1: bedroom just so they're.
- 27:24Speaker 2: All fucking then I wouldn't because otherwise, like what are
- 27:28Speaker 2: you doing well?
- 27:29Speaker 1: And it's it's it's so interesting because like that is
- 27:32Speaker 1: actually what Mormon polygamist men are doing. They're just fucking
- 27:37Speaker 1: all these women and we're calling it family and we're
- 27:40Speaker 1: calling it religion. No, it's just a bunch of men
- 27:42Speaker 1: who have access to women and children. Right and now
- 27:44Speaker 1: here we are in Springfield, Missouri, just under a different
- 27:47Speaker 1: umbrella with another man, just fucking a couple of women
- 27:50Speaker 1: having a bunch of babies. Yeah, it's deviant, deviant.
- 27:55Speaker 2: It's simple turn into like a Christian right now. Pre No,
- 28:00Speaker 2: it's so fault I mean, but it is.
- 28:03Speaker 1: I wouldn't like, I don't have a problem with alternative
- 28:07Speaker 1: lifestyles generally speaking, but when you are exploiting other human beings,
- 28:12Speaker 1: when there is collateral damage in the form of children
- 28:15Speaker 1: and women or even men, whatever, If somebody's being hurt
- 28:18Speaker 1: because you're choosing to live your life a certain way,
- 28:20Speaker 1: then I got a problem with you. And then I'm
- 28:22Speaker 1: up in that ass all day long for sure.
- 28:24Speaker 2: And Daniel, if you're masquerading like this is a religious
- 28:27Speaker 2: principle that you just made up because you read a
- 28:30Speaker 2: story in the Old Testament with some dude who was
- 28:33Speaker 2: like nine hundred years old and had seventeen wives, Like,
- 28:36Speaker 2: give me a break. I just it's so annoying that
- 28:40Speaker 2: they're even trying to pretend like this is like a
- 28:42Speaker 2: Christian thing. They're just a bunch of weirdos. Yes, I
- 28:45Speaker 2: would agree that's all it is. And I know if
- 28:47Speaker 2: that's judgmental, but I stand by it.
- 28:50Speaker 1: I stand by it.
- 28:51Speaker 2: They are such freaks. And then they have a conversation
- 28:54Speaker 2: about like what the women call each other. So I
- 28:57Speaker 2: guess with Rebecca and Christina, they call themselves sister wives sometimes,
- 29:02Speaker 2: but they really call each other BFFs because we really
- 29:05Speaker 2: want to establish that we're like best friends and we
- 29:07Speaker 2: really want to secure that friendship and that sisterhood together
- 29:14Speaker 2: aside from the man, we're BFFs who fuck.
- 29:17Speaker 1: The same guy and maybe each other and maybe each other.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Look, if you're gonna do that, just be real about it,
- 29:24Speaker 2: just be honest. And then we have a conversation about, like,
- 29:28Speaker 2: you know, everybody should have a freedom to choose, and
- 29:30Speaker 2: everybody should live the life that they want to live
- 29:33Speaker 2: without persecution in the United States.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Them getting sick of it. We're on season seven. This
- 29:38Speaker 1: is all you guys harp on and bang on about
- 29:40Speaker 1: the entire We get it, we understand your polygamus.
- 29:43Speaker 2: You're oppressed, But they're martyrs, right, they're martyrs.
- 29:46Speaker 1: They have to be again, this is their identity.
- 29:49Speaker 2: And then everybody plays red rover in the field next
- 29:52Speaker 2: to this picnic table and the army park, and somebody
- 29:56Speaker 2: gets clothesline and we'll tells.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Little Richard's kids this is running for his little redheaded life,
- 30:01Speaker 1: and he gets closed lined by.
- 30:03Speaker 2: People run away from his families, like please take me
- 30:06Speaker 2: with you, Please take me with you, seriously, and then
- 30:10Speaker 2: the Browns are like, oh, they survived our initiation. They're
- 30:13Speaker 2: a part of the family. Everybody's happy. It's great. Okay,
- 30:15Speaker 2: let's go back.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Let's wrap it up, wrap this episode up. Let's leave
- 30:20Speaker 1: these people in the dust.
- 30:22Speaker 2: They suck exactly, And I couldn't be happier, Like, please,
- 30:26Speaker 2: let's have the next episode be back in Vegas doing
- 30:28Speaker 2: something boring, talking about my sister wife's closet. We don't
- 30:32Speaker 2: need to go meet more degenerates around the country. So
- 30:35Speaker 2: in the previous for next episode and the rest of
- 30:38Speaker 2: the season, I think, because there's only like two episodes left,
- 30:40Speaker 2: they're creating a montage of videos and stuff of their family.
- 30:45Speaker 2: I don't care. I don't care. Christine talks about falling
- 30:51Speaker 2: in love with Cody before she ever even saw his face,
- 30:54Speaker 2: don't care. And then she saw his face and she
- 30:56Speaker 2: was like, oh my god, he's so handsome.
- 30:58Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 31:00Speaker 2: And then Robin made a comment saying that when she
- 31:03Speaker 2: saw Cody for the first time in church, she thought
- 31:05Speaker 2: he was probably a dumb, fucking idiot.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Now that I can get behind, you should have gone
- 31:12Speaker 1: with that heading.
- 31:13Speaker 2: And I liked Cody's face when she said that. He
- 31:16Speaker 2: was like shocked, like that was the first time he'd
- 31:18Speaker 2: ever heard it. But I love that Robin. I was like, yeah,
- 31:20Speaker 2: I thought he was probably a fucking stupid ass.
- 31:25Speaker 1: It was amazing.
- 31:26Speaker 2: And then she has an announcement which I'm assuming she's
- 31:29Speaker 2: pregnant again because of course Cody is creaman in her Sorry,
- 31:34Speaker 2: what's happening? What's happening? I'm on one today?
- 31:38Speaker 1: Well, we only have one more episode for season seven
- 31:41Speaker 1: and then we have a tell all I think with
- 31:43Speaker 1: Tameron Hall, yeah, which I.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Love her, and those tell alls are lit.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Yeah, so I think we should cover that because we
- 31:50Speaker 1: don't always cover the early season yell alls, but we will.
- 31:53Speaker 2: We should cover that one. So did we want to
- 31:55Speaker 2: talk about Nathaniel Richards, Yes, we do. So there was
- 31:58Speaker 2: an article that came out in December of twenty twenty four,
- 32:01Speaker 2: so we're definitely late to the party. But Nathaniel Richards
- 32:06Speaker 2: got arrested for felony domestic violence against I'm assuming.
- 32:13Speaker 1: I'm assuming it's a woman, two women. It was actually
- 32:18Speaker 1: two people. He allegedly assaulted somebody was making dinner. It
- 32:24Speaker 1: could have been a kid though, because it happened in
- 32:26Speaker 1: twenty twenty four and little Abigail would have been eighteen,
- 32:30Speaker 1: nineteen twenty. I don't know, I can't do math. It
- 32:32Speaker 1: doesn't say who he actually attacked, but like somebody was
- 32:35Speaker 1: making dinner, had a knife, he grabbed the wrist. He
- 32:39Speaker 1: was yelling. Another person came into the kitchen to try
- 32:42Speaker 1: to stop it, and then they attacked that person and
- 32:44Speaker 1: threw it him to the ground. Somebody called the cops
- 32:47Speaker 1: on that asshole, that little niculeonic asshole, and he went
- 32:52Speaker 1: to jail or whatever, and he was booked and it
- 32:54Speaker 1: was for a felony animisdemeanor. And as you continue to
- 32:57Speaker 1: read the article, you learn, yeah, that route back, which
- 33:00Speaker 1: is the first wife with a long auburn hair left
- 33:03Speaker 1: his ass in twenty twenty two based she said he
- 33:07Speaker 1: refused to let me get a job. I had to
- 33:09Speaker 1: stay home the entire time and take care of all
- 33:12Speaker 1: of these kids, you know, and I'm unhappy. I need money,
- 33:15Speaker 1: and so he was ordered to pay for child support.
- 33:18Speaker 1: She took all them nine children, and shortly thereafter, Christina,
- 33:24Speaker 1: the second wife that we met in this episode, also
- 33:26Speaker 1: left him, although the information around that is like, we
- 33:29Speaker 1: don't have it. We don't really know what happened with that.
- 33:32Speaker 1: And then he married some other lady named Tatiana. She
- 33:37Speaker 1: I think she's a Spanish woman, and I don't know
- 33:41Speaker 1: where his children are. His address in Tatiana's address is
- 33:45Speaker 1: attached to some church, Like this is weird. His life
- 33:48Speaker 1: got really strange. But at least those two women and
- 33:51Speaker 1: hopefully all of those kids got away from him.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Hopefully all the kids are with Rebecca or whoever had
- 33:57Speaker 2: custody of them, and they're not with their father.
- 34:00Speaker 1: You would be pissed as fuck at Rebecca if that
- 34:02Speaker 1: was my mom leaving me in that situation where I've
- 34:05Speaker 1: got a call like she ain't shit either though.
- 34:08Speaker 2: No for sure, but I mean, at least she got out,
- 34:10Speaker 2: and so hopefully she did take the kids or hopefully
- 34:12Speaker 2: they all aged out and they like moved away from
- 34:15Speaker 2: fucking bump Fuck Missouri and they're like peace out. I'm
- 34:18Speaker 2: going no contact with y'all.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, bye. Yeah. So he's a terrible person. My
- 34:24Speaker 1: instinct was right, and there was dark energy in that
- 34:27Speaker 1: house because allegedly he was beating all them women and children,
- 34:30Speaker 1: probably allegedly alleged my opinion.
- 34:32Speaker 2: And have we had the Browns address this at all?
- 34:36Speaker 2: Of course not, of course. So that's like crazy to me.
- 34:38Speaker 2: So you like brought your kids over to meet these
- 34:41Speaker 2: people who are dangerous and like I was thinking about
- 34:44Speaker 2: that when we were watching when I was watching the episode,
- 34:47Speaker 2: like how weird is it to have all of your
- 34:50Speaker 2: children around these three adults that you have no idea,
- 34:53Speaker 2: You've never met them, you don't know them, you don't
- 34:56Speaker 2: know their intentions. Yeah, there's some cameras around and stuff,
- 34:58Speaker 2: but when the are off, like are you leaving them
- 35:01Speaker 2: alone with these people? Like that's fucking weird.
- 35:04Speaker 1: I can't imagine that the mom should be okay with that.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Yeah, could never be me. So, yeah, this was an
- 35:09Speaker 2: interesting episode. Weird as fuck. These people are gross, especially Nathaniel. Yes,
- 35:14Speaker 2: and I'm glad that he got arrested.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Same. Well, is there anything else that we need to
- 35:18Speaker 1: say to these beautiful raccoons before we get up on
- 35:21Speaker 1: ad of here? Beatrice, Well, if.

- 35:43Speaker 1: All Skippity Ohio. We have watched all six episodes of
- 35:48Speaker 1: the first drop. I know the second drop I think
- 35:50Speaker 1: happens today. Yeah, so we're gonna be about a week late,
