- 0:57Speaker 1: book of John, In the book of John, we're going
- 0:59Speaker 1: to be in chapter 14, verses 23 and 24. John
- 1:03Speaker 1: 23 and 24. I'm calling this one, Not to the World.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Not to the World. Jesus made a statement, and he
- 1:11Speaker 1: said it was not to the world. Amen. Good morning,
- 1:14Speaker 1: Brother John. I see you. Good morning. God bless you, bro.
- 1:16Speaker 1: It's good to see you in the morning, Devo. So,
- 1:19Speaker 1: we are actually live. But, if you don't have an
- 1:23Speaker 1: opportunity to watch or to listen live, amen, no worries,
- 1:27Speaker 1: no problems. It's going to be a replay for the
- 1:29Speaker 1: video that is up for like a month. And those
- 1:33Speaker 1: who subscribe on the podcast, those podcasts are evergreen. Like
- 1:38Speaker 1: they're always there. As long as the Lord tarries, it'll
- 1:41Speaker 1: be always there. Amen. So listen, let's go for it.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Let's pray first. Then after we pray, you can share
- 1:46Speaker 1: this out. But most importantly, amen, we'll get right into
- 1:50Speaker 1: the word of God. That's what we want to do
- 1:52Speaker 1: and devote some time, set apart time, Set apart Jesus
- 1:56Speaker 1: in your heart, the Bible says. Set apart time to
- 1:59Speaker 1: get into his word. Amen? So let's go for it. Father,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I thank you for today, for right now, for the
- 2:06Speaker 1: opportunity that you give us to breathe, to live, to
- 2:09Speaker 1: see another day, to worship, praise you. Lord God, to
- 2:14Speaker 1: get into your word. The only thing that can satisfy
- 2:18Speaker 1: our soul is your word. Thank you, Lord God, for
- 2:20Speaker 1: being the bread of life. Thank you, Lord God, for
- 2:23Speaker 1: being that living water that's inside of us by way
- 2:25Speaker 1: of your Holy Spirit. Thank you, Lord Jesus, that you
- 2:28Speaker 1: visit us every time we read your word. You are present.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I pray the presence of God to transform us, to
- 2:34Speaker 1: give us freedom and liberty. I pray your Holy Spirit
- 2:37Speaker 1: will teach, will reach, and will develop a new standard
- 2:42Speaker 1: in our heart and our mind accordingly. I pray, Lord God,
- 2:45Speaker 1: a hedge of protection over myself, my wife, our family,
- 2:49Speaker 1: my daughters, my son, my grandchildren. my whole entire bloodline
- 2:53Speaker 1: in the powerful name of Jesus. I pray that for
- 2:55Speaker 1: every single person that's watching or listening, that you would
- 2:58Speaker 1: bless them, protect them, guide them, guard them, them and
- 3:01Speaker 1: their whole entire bloodline, their family, and every single person
- 3:06Speaker 1: they come in contact with as well, that they will
- 3:08Speaker 1: be protected and guided and guarded in the powerful name
- 3:10Speaker 1: of Jesus. We set forth our queen angels to annihilate
- 3:14Speaker 1: and break the curse off of us, to break the
- 3:17Speaker 1: plans of the enemy off in Jesus' holy name. And
- 3:20Speaker 1: I pray for faith, knowing that you are able to
- 3:23Speaker 1: hear these prayers and answer them according to every single
- 3:26Speaker 1: individual situation that's happening right now. All in the powerful
- 3:30Speaker 1: name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray this by faith.
- 3:32Speaker 1: And those who agree, we say amen to the amen. Amen.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Let's go for it. Let me get this on the screen.
- 3:39Speaker 1: For those who are watching, for those who are listening,
- 3:41Speaker 1: no worries. We're going to read it word for word
- 3:44Speaker 1: as the scripture says. And we're going to let Holy
- 3:47Speaker 1: Spirit teach because we live in a world, right? That's
- 3:50Speaker 1: constantly demanding for our attention. But today we're going to
- 3:55Speaker 1: go against that and we're going to get our attention
- 3:57Speaker 1: focused on the word of God in his word, for
- 4:01Speaker 1: his word, because of his word. So let's go for it. Amen.
- 4:04Speaker 1: So John chapter number 14, verses 23 and 24. Jesus replied.
- 4:14Speaker 1: And if he's replying to something, that means you have
- 4:17Speaker 1: to read above what this says. He's replying to something
- 4:22Speaker 1: that was said. And that's why I got the title,
- 4:24Speaker 1: Not to the World, because Jesus says something, and we'll
- 4:27Speaker 1: read it in a minute. But in verse 14, I mean,
- 4:31Speaker 1: verse 23 to 24, in chapter 14 of the book
- 4:34Speaker 1: of John, Jesus replied, If anyone loves me, he will
- 4:40Speaker 1: keep my word. That's an indicator right there. I love Jesus,
- 4:46Speaker 1: and if they're not keeping his word, then Jesus said,
- 4:49Speaker 1: you don't love me, basically. My father will love him,
- 4:54Speaker 1: and we will come to him and make our home
- 4:59Speaker 1: with him. Of course, him means him or her to mankind.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Whoever does not love me does not keep my words.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Is that clear enough, ladies and gentlemen? Jesus speaking. The
- 5:14Speaker 1: word that you hear is not my own. But it
- 5:19Speaker 1: is from the father who sent me. He's showing his
- 5:24Speaker 1: unity with the father. He's showing that Jesus is saying, listen,
- 5:28Speaker 1: me and the father are one. So my father will
- 5:35Speaker 1: love him. And we, right, the son and the father,
- 5:40Speaker 1: will come to him and make our home with him.
- 5:45Speaker 1: So listen, the Lord is faithful. dropping tremendous amount of
- 5:51Speaker 1: jewels right here in the scripture. He's replying to something
- 5:54Speaker 1: that was said prior, right? Or asked prior. Or he
- 6:01Speaker 1: was responding to something prior. And we're going to read
- 6:04Speaker 1: that because it's important to read the prior. What is
- 6:07Speaker 1: he responding to, right? Let me get the scripture up
- 6:11Speaker 1: on my phone here. And you could do the same.
- 6:15Speaker 1: So you got to go to John 14, 22 around
- 6:19Speaker 1: there and we'll see why this is so important about
- 6:23Speaker 1: this reply and in verse 22 let's read it together
- 6:33Speaker 1: john 14 22 judas not judas iscariot but judas asked
- 6:39Speaker 1: him asked the lord lord why are you going to
- 6:43Speaker 1: reveal yourself to us and not to the world And
- 6:49Speaker 1: then Jesus replied. Amen. So it's obvious the world cannot
- 6:56Speaker 1: see the revelation that we see. Because a worldly person
- 7:01Speaker 1: doesn't have the eyes that God gives a person who
- 7:05Speaker 1: is filled with the spirit. That's why before I got
- 7:09Speaker 1: saved and before you got saved, when sin was present,
- 7:13Speaker 1: when you were active and while living and all that
- 7:16Speaker 1: other stuff, you were blind to it. We were just
- 7:19Speaker 1: doing everything that sin offered because we were actually slaves
- 7:24Speaker 1: to sin before Jesus. But when Jesus finds us where
- 7:28Speaker 1: we are, fills us with his spirit, forgives us, redeems us,
- 7:33Speaker 1: restores us, saves us from his wrath, then our eyes,
- 7:37Speaker 1: spiritual eyes are open. And now we know. And we
- 7:42Speaker 1: ask the question, why are you going to reveal yourself
- 7:45Speaker 1: to us and not to the world. That's why I
- 7:48Speaker 1: call this one, not to the world, because this message,
- 7:53Speaker 1: although it's for everyone, Jesus said, anyone who loves me, right?
- 7:57Speaker 1: It's for anyone. It's not exclusively for Christians, but it's
- 8:01Speaker 1: for anyone who is willing to listen and believe. Very
- 8:05Speaker 1: important that you not only believe, but you follow who
- 8:08Speaker 1: you believe, and that's the Lord Jesus. So this world
- 8:12Speaker 1: is demanding for our attention, right? But Jesus reminds us
- 8:15Speaker 1: that true love is for him, for him, is demonstrated
- 8:20Speaker 1: through obedience to his word. Now, people get a little
- 8:25Speaker 1: grumpy when you start talking about obedience, right? Like, oh, man,
- 8:29Speaker 1: I have to obey. I'm not obeying no one, right?
- 8:31Speaker 1: Especially men. No, I'm not bowing the knee to no one,
- 8:34Speaker 1: no God. It's my life. I do what I want, right?
- 8:37Speaker 1: You heard that before. Actually, you probably used to say that.
- 8:40Speaker 1: I know I used to say that when I was
- 8:42Speaker 1: in the world being sucked into all kinds of sin
- 8:46Speaker 1: and wild living and all that stuff. And I was like,
- 8:49Speaker 1: now this is my life. I'm going to make my
- 8:50Speaker 1: own decisions. I'm going to keep it moving and all that.
- 8:54Speaker 1: It was called selfish ambition. It was called pride. And
- 8:58Speaker 1: it was called just being blind to the things of God. Also,
- 9:03Speaker 1: it was called being a slave to sin back then
- 9:05Speaker 1: before Jesus. So loving Jesus isn't just about what you
- 9:10Speaker 1: say It isn't just about where you go every Sunday
- 9:14Speaker 1: to worship or Saturday or Wednesdays or Thursdays or Tuesdays,
- 9:18Speaker 1: whatever day of the week that you go to worship.
- 9:20Speaker 1: It's not only about that. It's not only about what
- 9:23Speaker 1: we post on social media or what we stream live
- 9:26Speaker 1: on social media, including myself. It's not only about this. Amen?
- 9:30Speaker 1: This is a part of an expression of my love
- 9:33Speaker 1: for the Lord, but this is not at all. Right? Right?
- 9:37Speaker 1: It's not even how I identify myself or how you
- 9:40Speaker 1: identify yourself. I'm a Christian. I'm born again. That's great.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Praise the Lord. Amen. But it's not only about that.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Loving Jesus is more. It's about allowing his word. Listen
- 9:50Speaker 1: to this. Allowing his word to shape the way we
- 9:54Speaker 1: live every single day. Just allow the Lord to do
- 9:59Speaker 1: his work. through us. Amen. Don't complicate it. Oh, I
- 10:03Speaker 1: got to pray two hours. If you're doing that, please
- 10:07Speaker 1: let me know how you're doing that. Amen. And what
- 10:10Speaker 1: your schedule looks like during the day. That's amazing. But
- 10:14Speaker 1: if you're doing that, praise the Lord. If you're reading
- 10:17Speaker 1: the scriptures two hours or hour a day, Amen. Praise
- 10:21Speaker 1: the Lord. But allow who you're praying to, the Lord Jesus,
- 10:27Speaker 1: hopefully the Father, Holy Spirit, and the word. Allow who
- 10:33Speaker 1: you're praying to, whose word you're reading. Allow Jesus to
- 10:41Speaker 1: guide you. Allow his word to shape you. Allow his
- 10:44Speaker 1: word to mold you. Because this word is not to
- 10:49Speaker 1: the world. Amen? It's to those who hear him, to
- 10:53Speaker 1: those who believe. You think I'm lying? Amen? Go up
- 10:57Speaker 1: to somebody who's an atheist or go up to somebody
- 11:00Speaker 1: who's into Islam or go up to somebody who's a
- 11:03Speaker 1: Buddhist or whatever and you start preaching the gospel, they're
- 11:06Speaker 1: going to look at you like if you have two
- 11:07Speaker 1: heads or three heads, four eyes, two noses, four ears,
- 11:12Speaker 1: they're going to look at you real strange. Why? Because
- 11:14Speaker 1: they're blind or they're actually... deaf to the things of God,
- 11:23Speaker 1: unless by God's grace, they have a heart to receive
- 11:28Speaker 1: and they have ears to listen, then they will hear
- 11:30Speaker 1: the message of the gospel, receive that message and be saved.
- 11:34Speaker 1: So this is a spiritual warfare for souls, right? We're
- 11:37Speaker 1: trying to reach as many souls as possible before Jesus
- 11:40Speaker 1: cracks open that sky. When Jesus cracks open the sky
- 11:43Speaker 1: and makes his triumphant return to us, he's coming with
- 11:47Speaker 1: a new heaven and new earth, but it's not to
- 11:48Speaker 1: be preaching the gospel. It's to judge the world. Whoever
- 11:56Speaker 1: is coming for his church and whoever is not with
- 11:58Speaker 1: him at that time is not with him at any
- 12:01Speaker 1: time for all eternity. Separated from God's goodness for all eternity.
- 12:08Speaker 1: God's goodness for all eternity. Jesus makes a powerful distinction
- 12:12Speaker 1: when he makes this statement in the scriptures. His message
- 12:16Speaker 1: isn't based on On worldly opinions. Check that out. It's
- 12:23Speaker 1: not based on worldly opinions. It's not based on cultural trends.
- 12:28Speaker 1: It's not based on social media trends or wherever it's trending.
- 12:32Speaker 1: It's not based on human approval. Because right now the
- 12:35Speaker 1: generation is looking for approval through social media. It's gotten
- 12:39Speaker 1: out of hand. It's not getting out of hand. It's
- 12:41Speaker 1: out of hand. How many people, young people, old people,
- 12:45Speaker 1: everybody in between, How many of people are going to
- 12:48Speaker 1: social media first to make a statement about what they believe,
- 12:53Speaker 1: what they know? They go on social media first instead
- 12:55Speaker 1: of going to the Lord first and asking, Lord, is
- 12:58Speaker 1: this right? Can you check my heart? Where is it
- 13:00Speaker 1: in the Word? Show me what this Word means. We're
- 13:03Speaker 1: supposed to study the Word to show ourselves approved, not
- 13:07Speaker 1: to go on social media and show ourselves approved, verified, checked,
- 13:11Speaker 1: and all that stuff. Social media has done us dirty,
- 13:14Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. People are identifying more with what they
- 13:18Speaker 1: do on social media than what is being done in
- 13:20Speaker 1: their lives, real life, tangible life. Amen. So his message
- 13:25Speaker 1: isn't based on worldly opinions, cultural trends, human approval. His
- 13:29Speaker 1: word comes from the Father. And if Jesus said the
- 13:32Speaker 1: word comes from the Father, we believe that the word
- 13:35Speaker 1: comes from the Father. Jesus is speaking the word through, amen,
- 13:40Speaker 1: to and through. And we receive that word. And his
- 13:44Speaker 1: Holy Spirit reminds us of the word. So the world
- 13:49Speaker 1: is going to encourage us to follow our feelings. Oh,
- 13:54Speaker 1: just follow your heart. You heard that, right? I think
- 13:57Speaker 1: everybody heard that expression. Follow your heart. Depends on what
- 14:02Speaker 1: heart you have. Now, if you have a heart, according
- 14:04Speaker 1: to scriptures, that's deceitful and wicked. That's before God changes
- 14:08Speaker 1: you and transforms and gives you a new heart. If
- 14:11Speaker 1: you have that deceitful heart in you, don't follow it
- 14:13Speaker 1: because it's full of deceit, all kind of sin, lies.
- 14:18Speaker 1: It's horrible. The heart of man, unregenerated heart, untransformed heart,
- 14:24Speaker 1: unchanged heart, a heart that's not a flesh, it's going
- 14:27Speaker 1: to be curtains for you. Brother Armando, God bless the
- 14:30Speaker 1: chaplains in the building. Morning, my brother. God bless you
- 14:34Speaker 1: as well. Good to see you in the morning, Devo.
- 14:37Speaker 1: So the world says, follow your feelings. Chase popularity, right?
- 14:42Speaker 1: That's huge on these social media streets. Popularity. Everybody wants
- 14:49Speaker 1: to be the guru. Everybody wants to be the talking head. Listen,
- 14:52Speaker 1: I do this on these platforms, on social media, not
- 14:56Speaker 1: because I really want to. I do it because I
- 14:58Speaker 1: know that's where most people are at. If it was
- 15:02Speaker 1: up to me, I would scratch the whole thing of
- 15:04Speaker 1: social media, get everybody off the platforms, and let's join
- 15:08Speaker 1: on a website, on live.soulwinnerswithaz.org. I keep on saying that
- 15:14Speaker 1: because if you go there, you're going to have a
- 15:16Speaker 1: greater experience than on social media, less distractions. It's distraction-free,
- 15:21Speaker 1: a live interactive Bible. There's a chat there as well. Amen. Live.soulwinnerswithaz.org
- 15:27Speaker 1: is my dream site that I want to have these interactions.
- 15:31Speaker 1: But I'll go wherever the people are because I'm trying
- 15:34Speaker 1: to start fishing for souls. I'm fishing for souls. Jesus'
- 15:39Speaker 1: word comes from the Father, even though the world says, nah,
- 15:44Speaker 1: just follow your feelings, chase popularity, compromise your values, because
- 15:49Speaker 1: you want to be accepted by the people. Don't do
- 15:52Speaker 1: what the scripture says. Don't listen to Sam and those people,
- 15:55Speaker 1: those Christians, because they're doing too much. Scriptures are not
- 15:59Speaker 1: valid anymore. Their Bible has errors. You heard all the arguments, probably.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Somebody that says... The scripture has a lot of error.
- 16:09Speaker 1: You know what your reply should be? You should take
- 16:12Speaker 1: out your Bible app or take out your scriptures, your Bible,
- 16:15Speaker 1: if you have a Bible in your hand or in
- 16:17Speaker 1: your possession. Just ask them to show you one error.
- 16:22Speaker 1: And if they find one or two or whatever they
- 16:24Speaker 1: find or whatever they think is an error, they're going
- 16:26Speaker 1: to take it out of context. I guarantee you 100%.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Like this one in the book of Numbers. You're saying
- 16:34Speaker 1: they tell you or they ask you, You say Jesus
- 16:38Speaker 1: is God, and we say yes. And they'll go to Numbers,
- 16:41Speaker 1: I think it's chapter 6. God is not a man.
- 16:43Speaker 1: And they'll stop there. And then you look at it
- 16:46Speaker 1: and say, well, continue to read. And they say, no,
- 16:49Speaker 1: that's all. God is not a man. It says it
- 16:51Speaker 1: in your Bible. So how could Jesus being a man
- 16:53Speaker 1: be God? So we have to be mindful. People are
- 16:56Speaker 1: cherry picking out of the scriptures. You could really make
- 17:00Speaker 1: the Bible talk for your position. But you're going to
- 17:03Speaker 1: have to take a little from here, a little from there,
- 17:05Speaker 1: a little from here. and put it all together like
- 17:07Speaker 1: a buffet. It's not true. Jesus calls us to a
- 17:12Speaker 1: different way of living. The world calls us to a
- 17:16Speaker 1: different way of living. So Jesus is saying, live righteous.
- 17:18Speaker 1: The world says, man, do what you want. Who cares?
- 17:21Speaker 1: You only have one life to live is YOLO, right?
- 17:23Speaker 1: You only live once. But the Lord says, live different.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Follow me. Amen. Love me. Obey my commands, obey my word,
- 17:38Speaker 1: and you'll be in a better place. The best place
- 17:41Speaker 1: you could be is in the hands of a loving, living, holy,
- 17:43Speaker 1: righteous God. So you don't have to belong to the
- 17:46Speaker 1: world to find fulfillment. Yes, you could find fulfillment in
- 17:51Speaker 1: the world. Yes, we all know that. Like, why even
- 17:54Speaker 1: lie about it? I can't tell you, get on these
- 17:57Speaker 1: morning devils and say, you're not going to find any
- 17:59Speaker 1: satisfaction in the world. That's a lie. You will find
- 18:01Speaker 1: satisfaction in the world, in the world system. Yes, absolutely. Absolutely.
- 18:05Speaker 1: They advertise it every day. Sex, drugs, alcohol, violence, right?
- 18:09Speaker 1: All kind of sin, you know, all kind of selfish
- 18:11Speaker 1: pride and pride events and all that stuff. Of course,
- 18:14Speaker 1: they're looking to satisfy your soul. They want, they know
- 18:20Speaker 1: the world system is being driven by the devil, being
- 18:23Speaker 1: run by the devil. Yeah, I said it. The scripture
- 18:25Speaker 1: says it. The enemy, the devil is the prince of
- 18:27Speaker 1: the air, right? And he's the ruler of this world,
- 18:31Speaker 1: this temporary world. But God is sovereign over it all.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Because who gets the final say? The devil or God?
- 18:37Speaker 1: Who gets the final say? Who's coming back to judge
- 18:39Speaker 1: the world? The devil? Or a religious leader from another religion? No. Jesus,
- 18:44Speaker 1: the Christ, the Lord, the Lamb and the Lion, the
- 18:47Speaker 1: Lion of Judah is coming back to judge the world. Right?
- 18:53Speaker 1: So you don't have to belong to the world to
- 18:54Speaker 1: find fulfillment, although the world will give you some kind
- 18:57Speaker 1: of fulfillment. When you belong to Christ and His presence
- 19:02Speaker 1: and is there and able and you're in God's presence,
- 19:05Speaker 1: that's where you're going to find something greater than what
- 19:09Speaker 1: the world offers. You're going to find that the world
- 19:12Speaker 1: offers something that's satisfaction, that's temporary, but God through Jesus
- 19:17Speaker 1: offers something that satisfies us for all eternity. Last time
- 19:22Speaker 1: I checked, temporary and eternity, there's no comparison. Temporary is now.
- 19:26Speaker 1: I don't even know how long we're going to be here.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Eternity is forever times a million zillion years. Like, There's
- 19:33Speaker 1: no number to stop eternity. You can't say, oh, eternity
- 19:36Speaker 1: starts in 2026 and ends in whatever, 40 whatever. No,
- 19:42Speaker 1: you can't say that. Eternity is forever. So when you
- 19:45Speaker 1: keep his word, amen, you keep your life. when you
- 19:49Speaker 1: don't follow the word then you're holding on to your
- 19:52Speaker 1: own life and you're going to lose your life we
- 19:54Speaker 1: read that already the other day so when you keep
- 19:59Speaker 1: his word you open up your life to a deeper
- 20:04Speaker 1: relationship with God through the son right so we're only
- 20:10Speaker 1: Made right with God the Father who God the Son.
- 20:13Speaker 1: There's no other way. You can't jump over Jesus to
- 20:16Speaker 1: be made right. That's why it's not to the world.
- 20:20Speaker 1: It's not to the world. It's to the people who believe. Amen?
- 20:25Speaker 1: People who believe and follow. God's promises are amazing. His
- 20:31Speaker 1: promise that the Father and Son will make their home
- 20:34Speaker 1: in us is next level. Right? That's a promise from God.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Do you love Him? Because it's only those who love
- 20:44Speaker 1: God that this is happening. Two and four. Right? So,
- 20:51Speaker 1: and it's not a forced thing. This is not a
- 20:54Speaker 1: forced idea, a forced religion that, oh, you better do this.
- 21:00Speaker 1: And if you don't do this, you're out. You know,
- 21:03Speaker 1: there's consequences to rejecting the Lord. Absolutely. Scripture says, Jesus
- 21:09Speaker 1: didn't come to condemn the world, but to save the world, right?
- 21:13Speaker 1: But if you're rejecting the Savior, the Bible says you're
- 21:18Speaker 1: condemning yourself. Not that God is condemning. Jesus didn't come
- 21:23Speaker 1: to condemn the world. People are confused and saying, Jesus
- 21:29Speaker 1: said never judge. He is the righteous judge. And we're
- 21:33Speaker 1: supposed to judge righteously, right? It's all about love. Yes,
- 21:37Speaker 1: God is love. So unless you believe in God, then
- 21:41Speaker 1: you know what the definition of love is. If you
- 21:44Speaker 1: don't believe in God, love is love. You're defining a
- 21:48Speaker 1: term with a term that has no meaning outside of
- 21:52Speaker 1: God because God is love. So we've got to be
- 21:56Speaker 1: listening to how people are expressing their feelings because that's
- 21:59Speaker 1: the way they feel. But imagine living your life based
- 22:03Speaker 1: on your feelings. Imagine if I live my life based
- 22:06Speaker 1: on my own feelings, bro. I wouldn't be in front
- 22:08Speaker 1: of the screen right now. If the flesh and the
- 22:10Speaker 1: feelings would take over, I'd be in big trouble, right?
- 22:16Speaker 1: And so would you. So ask yourself. Ask yourself these questions.
- 22:21Speaker 1: They're sobering questions. You don't have to answer it on
- 22:24Speaker 1: a live chat. If you want, you can. Ask yourself,
- 22:27Speaker 1: am I following God's word or the world's expectations? Wow.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Like the word is available for free to all of us.
- 22:38Speaker 1: through our phones. I got free books of John's that
- 22:41Speaker 1: I could give out and send you. It's just the
- 22:44Speaker 1: book of John, but I'm pretty sure I have Bibles
- 22:46Speaker 1: here for donation too as well. Like it's available for free,
- 22:52Speaker 1: but how many people want to read his word? How
- 22:54Speaker 1: many people have his word in their homes, on their
- 22:57Speaker 1: phones and never go to it, right? So am I
- 23:01Speaker 1: following God's word or the world's expectations? And it's easy,
- 23:06Speaker 1: especially the younger generation, to follow the world's expectations because
- 23:09Speaker 1: they're comparing themselves to one another through platforms that are
- 23:13Speaker 1: not even real. Like when you see somebody that has
- 23:17Speaker 1: a spotless, always on point social media platform, it looks good.
- 23:24Speaker 1: But sometimes things that look too good are not true.
- 23:29Speaker 1: If it looks too good, I grew up with this expression.
- 23:34Speaker 1: And my parents and my family used to say, if
- 23:37Speaker 1: it's too good to be true, it's not true. Or
- 23:39Speaker 1: is it too good? If it looks too good, it's
- 23:42Speaker 1: probably not good at all, right? Polished. If it's too polished.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Right now we have AI. I use AI sometimes, you know,
- 23:50Speaker 1: for certain things because it just saves me time. But
- 23:54Speaker 1: if it looks too perfect, I look at the AI
- 23:57Speaker 1: and say, that's too perfect. Change it. I have to
- 24:00Speaker 1: jump in there and change it because I'm not perfect.
- 24:03Speaker 1: You're not perfect, but the God that we serve is perfect.
- 24:07Speaker 1: He doesn't need AI. The Lord doesn't need AI to
- 24:10Speaker 1: make himself perfect. The Lord doesn't need approval from this world.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Amazingly enough, right? He wants us to follow and believe
- 24:17Speaker 1: in him, but he doesn't need approval from the world system.
- 24:20Speaker 1: He doesn't need anyone to validate him. God is God.
- 24:25Speaker 1: That's a good one, right? Your daily decisions, you're making decisions, right?
- 24:35Speaker 1: I'm a driver professionally. I make hundreds of decisions while
- 24:39Speaker 1: I'm driving, especially when I have a passenger with me.
- 24:42Speaker 1: I want to make sure I'm on point. Our lives
- 24:46Speaker 1: depend on it, literally. Amen? I can't avoid if there's
- 24:50Speaker 1: going to be an accident. If God allows me to
- 24:52Speaker 1: get into an accident, I can't avoid it because that
- 24:54Speaker 1: was God-ordained. It's going to be a purpose for the accident.
- 24:57Speaker 1: When I talk like this, people say, but why would
- 24:59Speaker 1: God want you to get into an accident? I'm not
- 25:01Speaker 1: saying that God wants me to get into an accident.
- 25:03Speaker 1: I'm saying that God will allow me to get into
- 25:05Speaker 1: an accident for his purpose and plan, which is way further. Like, okay,
- 25:10Speaker 1: if you have a GPS and you're driving, you have
- 25:12Speaker 1: some direction. But God knows the direction. He knows how
- 25:17Speaker 1: you're going to get there, the time you're going to
- 25:19Speaker 1: get there, if you're going to be safely there, if
- 25:21Speaker 1: you're going to get into an accident and getting there.
- 25:23Speaker 1: He knows all the intel. The GPS knows where you're
- 25:27Speaker 1: going and trying to get you there. But if you
- 25:30Speaker 1: have a overview of the whole terrain from beginning to end,
- 25:35Speaker 1: you're going to see more things the higher you go. Well,
- 25:39Speaker 1: God is the highest of the highest. He sees all things.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Way past the GPS, way past a satellite that's in
- 25:46Speaker 1: the sky, God sees all things. So does your love
- 25:50Speaker 1: for Jesus show up in your daily decisions? Just ask
- 25:54Speaker 1: yourself that. How about this? Am I willing to obey
- 25:58Speaker 1: God Even when it's unpopular. Let me jump in. Yes,
- 26:04Speaker 1: this is very unpopular. I can tell you, this message
- 26:09Speaker 1: of the gospel is very unpopular to the world. I
- 26:15Speaker 1: was in the world. I know what I'm talking about.
- 26:17Speaker 1: People used to come to the block, talk about Jehovah's Witnesses.
- 26:21Speaker 1: They said, you can come to Kingdom Hall. Christians used
- 26:23Speaker 1: to come and say, you can come to church. Everybody
- 26:27Speaker 1: from the block is looking at them like, that sounds
- 26:28Speaker 1: like a good idea. but we ain't doing it. Mormons,
- 26:33Speaker 1: we used to have fun with the Mormons. Mormons are
- 26:36Speaker 1: real friendly and they're bold, man. Shout out to the Mormons,
- 26:39Speaker 1: even though I don't believe your system, but shout out
- 26:42Speaker 1: to you. Y'all be showing up in the hood, on
- 26:45Speaker 1: the block, wherever, with two guys, white shirt with a
- 26:48Speaker 1: name tag, a backpack, and y'all know y'all don't belong,
- 26:52Speaker 1: but y'all believe in your system so much that you're
- 26:55Speaker 1: willing to go into the hood and get get what
- 26:59Speaker 1: you're going to get. So shout out to the Mormons,
- 27:02Speaker 1: but you need to repent. Turn away from that Mormonism.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Come to the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. The real Jesus
- 27:09Speaker 1: Christ of the scriptures. I'll be praying for the Mormons.
- 27:13Speaker 1: So if you belong to God, amen, you know that
- 27:18Speaker 1: his message is not to the world. His message is
- 27:21Speaker 1: to his disciples because now we can hear him clearly.
- 27:26Speaker 1: God knows that the world hears the message of the
- 27:28Speaker 1: gospel and Here's it like fuzzy. The Bible says the
- 27:33Speaker 1: gospel is gibberish or nonsense or foolish to those who
- 27:37Speaker 1: are perishing. But to those who are alive, it's power
- 27:40Speaker 1: and it's a salvation. I'm putting scriptures together. Amen. But
- 27:43Speaker 1: I'm out of time. Read John chapter 14, the whole chapter.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Today we camped out on verses 22, 23, and 24. Amen.
- 27:52Speaker 1: But for greater context and make sure I'm in context,
- 27:56Speaker 1: read the whole chapter for yourself. But I'm out of time.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Thank you so much for hanging out with me for
- 28:00Speaker 1: these morning devos. I have a great time doing this.
- 28:02Speaker 1: This is fuel to my soul. Amen. And I hope
- 28:05Speaker 1: it's fuel to your soul. The word of God, not
- 28:07Speaker 1: what I'm saying, but what the word of God says
- 28:09Speaker 1: through God's Holy Spirit. So God bless you all. Ladies
- 28:13Speaker 1: and gentlemen, God keep you all. Have a great day.
- 28:16Speaker 1: And remember always that God is good. Peace.
