Speaker 1: This is an agency that is near and dear to
• 0:02
Speaker 1: my heart as a former assistant the United States Attorney
• 0:05
Speaker 1: it's critical that we have a great leader at the
• 0:07
Speaker 1: top of the Department of Justice. Obviously, we thank Pam
• 0:10
Speaker 1: for our service and she's served the administration for this
• 0:14
Speaker 1: first fifteen months. But the next person who's heading the
• 0:17
Speaker 1: Department of Justice has got to be aggressive. We have
• 0:19
Speaker 1: a limited period right now with President Trump and the
• 0:22
Speaker 1: White House, with the House Republicans and Center Republicans, we
• 0:25
Speaker 1: have got to be on offense for a justice and accountability.

• 2:25
Speaker 3: seven Morning Update, and it starts right now.
• 2:28
  Speaker 2: Story number one.
• 2:29
Speaker 3: There was major news coming out of the White House
• 2:32
Speaker 3: today and that was the reporting that Pambondi has been
• 2:36
Speaker 3: fired from any official position in the Trump administration. I
• 2:41
Speaker 3: want to walk you through exactly what happened here and
• 2:44
Speaker 3: why it's happening, so you understand. Over the last twenty
• 2:47
Speaker 3: four hours, there have been rumors circulating all over Washington
• 2:51
Speaker 3: that Pambondi was either fired, forced out, or stepping down
• 2:55
Speaker 3: amid internal conflict. However, none of those claims well became
• 3:00
Speaker 3: the real story until the White House made it very
• 3:02
Speaker 3: clear that she was out of a job. Here's how
• 3:06
Speaker 3: the news broke on Fox News Channel.
• 3:08
Speaker 4: Kaylee, I just got off the phone with President Trump.
• 3:10
Speaker 4: We have a big scoope. Pam Bondi will soon leave
• 3:14
Speaker 4: her job as the Attorney General. She is going to
• 3:17
Speaker 4: get a different job within the administration. It doesn't sound
• 3:21
Speaker 4: like there is any bad blood between her and President Trump,
• 3:24
Speaker 4: but it does seem like they want her to go
• 3:27
Speaker 4: and do something else, and in an interim role. She
• 3:30
Speaker 4: will be replaced by Todd Blanche who is currently her
• 3:34
Speaker 4: deputy at the Justice Department. So it doesn't sound like
• 3:38
Speaker 4: Blanche is being elevated long term to the attorney General.
• 3:41
Speaker 4: There might be somebody else that the President wants to
• 3:43
Speaker 4: go in there. But President Trump soon will announce to
• 3:48
Speaker 4: the entire world that it is the end of Pam
• 3:52
Speaker 4: Bondi's time as the Attorney General. He still thinks that
• 3:55
Speaker 4: she is a great person and that she did a
• 3:57
Speaker 4: good job, and he still wants her in the because
• 4:00
Speaker 4: she will still be an important part of the administration,
• 4:03
Speaker 4: he tells me, but no longer as the top law
• 4:07
Speaker 4: enforcement officer of the United States. That at least for
• 4:11
Speaker 4: a little while, is going to be Todd Blanche Or do.
• 4:14
Speaker 1: You see that right here?
• 4:15
Speaker 5: First, that's rather a big news. And I'm sure you
• 4:17
Speaker 5: don't have answer to this, but there have been some
• 4:18
Speaker 5: rumored names to replace her. Did you happen to catch
• 4:21
  Speaker 5: that so far?
• 4:23
  Speaker 1: Tom Blanche.
• 4:25
Speaker 3: Now, even as that news broke, there were still questions
• 4:28
Speaker 3: being asked. Hold on a second, was Pam Bonni fired?
• 4:30
Speaker 3: Was she not fired? And is she actually going to
• 4:33
Speaker 3: stay within the administration. Well, here's a new headline from
• 4:36
Speaker 3: the New York Post right now. Pam Bonnie speaks out
• 4:39
Speaker 3: for the first time after Trump fired her as the
• 4:42
Speaker 3: Attorney General Now the former US Attorney General, Pam Bondi
• 4:47
Speaker 3: is their headline. Spoke out after being fired for her
• 4:49
Speaker 3: perch as the head of the Justice Department and teased
• 4:53
Speaker 3: her new private sector role where she will continue fighting
• 4:57
Speaker 3: for President Trump. She put with this out on next
• 5:01
Speaker 3: saying quote, leading President Trump's historic and highly successful efforts
• 5:05
Speaker 3: to make America safer and more secure has been the
• 5:08
Speaker 3: honor of lifetime and easily the most consequential first year
• 5:12
Speaker 3: of the Department of Justice in American history. I remain
• 5:16
Speaker 3: internally grateful for the trust that President Trump placed in
• 5:21
Speaker 3: me to make America safe again.
• 5:23
  Speaker 6: Now.
• 5:24
Speaker 3: Trump's decision to axe Bondi came weeks after making the
• 5:27
Speaker 3: first cabinet level firing of his administration. That is where
• 5:30
Speaker 3: he terminated the former Secretary of Homeland Security, Christy Nome,
• 5:34
Speaker 3: who is now serving a Special Envoy to the Shield
• 5:37
Speaker 3: of the Americas. Bondi is getting a new private sector role,
• 5:42
Speaker 3: is what she said, where she will be allied with
• 5:45
Speaker 3: the administration, but details of that position are not fully
• 5:48
Speaker 3: clear at this moment. In the meantime, Trump is tapped
• 5:52
Speaker 3: a Deputy Attorney General, Todd Blanch to serve as interim
• 5:55
Speaker 3: ag while he decides on a permanent replacement. The name
• 6:00
Speaker 3: that I'm hearing the most right now is the EPA
• 6:03
Speaker 3: administrator Lee Zelden. Apparently he is seriously considering looking at
• 6:08
Speaker 3: him for the job. Bonnie also added on x this,
• 6:13
Speaker 3: I will be working tirelessly to transition the office of
• 6:16
Speaker 3: Attorney General to the amazing Todd Blanche before moving to
• 6:19
Speaker 3: an important private sector role I'm thrilled about and where
• 6:22
Speaker 3: I will continue to fight for President Trump and this
• 6:26
Speaker 3: administration now. President Trump told Pam Bondi in person on
• 6:31
Speaker 3: Wednesday that she was on the outs. The source had
• 6:35
Speaker 3: told The Post that conversation took place after the two
• 6:38
Speaker 3: attended the Supreme Court's oral arguments in the birthright citizenship
• 6:42
Speaker 3: case earlier in the day. Bondi, who served as the
• 6:46
Speaker 3: Florida Attorney General from twenty eleven through twenty nineteen. It
• 6:50
Speaker 3: was a key ally of Trump in the twenty twenty
• 6:53
Speaker 3: election aftermath, has been the President's second choice to howme
• 6:56
Speaker 3: the DOJ after Representative Matt Gates's true She quickly faced
• 7:02
Speaker 3: controversy after claiming on Fox News last February that a
• 7:06
Speaker 3: list of late sex predator Jeffrey Epstein's clients was sitting
• 7:11
Speaker 3: on my desk right now to review later. MAGA influencers
• 7:16
Speaker 3: are welcome to the White House and given those binders
• 7:19
Speaker 3: that were titled the Epstein Files Phase one. White House
• 7:23
Speaker 3: Chief of Staff Susie Wilds later told Vanny Fair in
• 7:26
Speaker 3: an interview last year that Bonnie completely whiffed the Epstein situation,
• 7:32
Speaker 3: chiding that there is no client list and it's sure
• 7:36
Speaker 3: as hell wasn't on her desk. Again, that coming from
• 7:40
Speaker 3: the White House Chief of Staff, and that is where
• 7:43
Speaker 3: the turmoil really began. Key allies of the President, such
• 7:47
Speaker 3: as Laura Lumer publicly and privately pushed Trump to get
• 7:51
Speaker 3: Bonni the boot after firing. Several Republicans in Congress, such
• 7:55
Speaker 3: as Representative Nancy Mace cheered Trump, who famously had a
• 8:00
Speaker 3: falling out with the ags of his first term Jeff
• 8:03
Speaker 3: Sessions and Bill Barr, appeared frustrated with the DJ's lackluster
• 8:07
Speaker 3: attempts to prosecute some of his political foes. Is what
• 8:11
Speaker 3: many in the media are also trying to spend this
• 8:14
Speaker 3: ass Now, let me be clear, a lot of this
• 8:16
Speaker 3: really did come down to the Epstein Files. Trey Goudie,
• 8:20
Speaker 3: talking on Fox News Channel had this to say about it.
• 8:25
Speaker 5: Todd will do a great job, and I know the
• 8:27
Speaker 5: President thinks highly of him.
• 8:29
Speaker 6: She obviously had some dusk stops up on Capitol Hill
• 8:32
Speaker 6: numerous times whenever she went up there to testify. Here
• 8:35
Speaker 6: she is versus GOP lawmakers. I moved that the Committee
• 8:39
Speaker 6: issue a subpoena to the Honorable Pamela Joe Bondi to
• 8:42
Speaker 6: apear before the Committee for a deposition regarding the department's
• 8:45
Speaker 6: handling of the investigation to Jeffrey Epstein.
• 8:48
Speaker 2: Within forty minutes, Wexter's name was added back.
• 8:52
Speaker 6: Within forty minutes of me catching you red handed, nobody
• 8:56
Speaker 6: on our side is defending pam Bondy. Okay, sue that
• 9:00
Speaker 6: what built up do you think that handling early on
• 9:04
Speaker 6: of Epstein? I know you say she's not tied to it,
• 9:06
Speaker 6: but how it was handled early on?
• 9:08
Speaker 5: Yeah, but it wasn't just her bred I mean, how
• 9:10
Speaker 5: many different podcasters and other folks promised us all this
• 9:15
Speaker 5: information on Jeffrey Epstein, and those of us that actually
• 9:19
Speaker 5: were prosecutors were sitting there thinking, you've had three opportunities.
• 9:23
Speaker 5: You had Florida, you had Maxwell before she was convicted,
• 9:27
Speaker 5: and you had Epstein before he killed himself. So where
• 9:31
Speaker 5: are the co conspirators? The problem was whenever you And
• 9:37
Speaker 5: it wasn't just Pam. There are other members of this
• 9:39
Speaker 5: administration that wrote checks with their mouths that the rest
• 9:42
Speaker 5: of their body couldn't catch. Now you played a clip
• 9:45
Speaker 5: from somebody who's running for governor in South Carolina. I mean,
• 9:49
Speaker 5: why would you subpoena a Republican attorney general when all
• 9:53
Speaker 5: you have to do is what I did this morning,
• 9:55
Speaker 5: call her on the phone. So she was a victim,
• 9:57
Speaker 5: a little bit of other people's ambition light now a victim,
• 10:01
Speaker 5: a little bit of getting out over her skis. But
• 10:06
Speaker 5: let's be allus. When did we start releasing files?
• 10:09
  Speaker 4: Brett?
• 10:10
Speaker 5: I mean, I haven't seen the Matt Gates file, have you.
• 10:13
Speaker 5: I haven't seen the job in a Ramsey file. When
• 10:15
Speaker 5: did we start releasing files?
• 10:17
Speaker 3: One thing is sure, it's the president said it was
• 10:20
Speaker 3: time for someone new. Pam BONDI will go to the
• 10:23
Speaker 3: private sector, she said, and support the president. What will
• 10:26
Speaker 3: be very interesting to see is who gets the job now,
• 10:29
Speaker 3: and we expect that to come very shortly. And when
• 10:32
Speaker 3: that name is named, we'll give it to you.
