- 0:17June 20th, Anno Domini, 1586.
- 0:24Elizabeth, my dearest Elizabeth,
- 0:29the unbelievable has occurred.
- 0:32The famed Sir Francis Drake himself
- 0:35has graced our humble shores with his presence.
- 0:39One would assume such a renowned explorer,
- 0:43a man who has circumnavigated the globe,
- 0:46would possess a morricum of compassion,
- 0:49a willingness to aid his fellow countrymen
- 0:53in their fledgling endeavour.
- 0:55One would be sorely mistaken.
- 0:58The man arrived with his ships laden.
- 1:01I tell you laden.
- 1:03Yet, when we, gaunt and weary from a year of meagre rations
- 1:09and dwindling hope, pleaded for even the smallest provision,
- 1:13he turned a deaf ear, claiming his holds were full of...
- 1:18of what I know not, but certainly not the sustenance
- 1:22we so desperately require.
- 1:25Selfish, utterly and despicably selfish.
- 1:30He could have spared a fraction of his bounty
- 1:32and eased our suffering, but he chose instead
- 1:34to haul his riches while we starve.
- 1:37And the fools, the weak-kneed, lily-livid fools
- 1:41amongst our company, Drake in his supposed magnanimity,
- 1:45offered them passage back to England.
- 1:48And like sheep to the slaughter, the majority have accepted.
- 1:53They whine and moan about hardship,
- 1:56but missing their comfortable lives.
- 1:59Can they not see the incredible opportunity
- 2:02that lies before us here?
- 2:04The chance to claim vast tracts of land
- 2:06to build fortunes beyond imagining.
- 2:09All it requires is a little fortitude, a little patience.
- 2:14But no, they scurry back to their familiar hearts,
- 2:19abandoning the very cusp of prosperity.
- 2:23But this, Elizabeth, this exodus of the weak,
- 2:27I see as a blessing in disguise.
- 2:30If you are mouths to feed,
- 2:32means our remaining supplies will stretch further.
- 2:35The land, ripe for the taking,
- 2:37will be even more abundant for those of us
- 2:40with the vision and the courage to stay.
- 2:43You must come, Elizabeth.
- 2:45As soon as the ships at sail for these shores,
- 2:47must be on it.
- 2:49Imagine the two of us claiming our stake in this new world,
- 2:53becoming lords and ladies of our own domain.
- 2:58As for sustenance until then,
- 3:00well, these natives on the nearby islands
- 3:03seem to have an abundance of things.
- 3:06Strange trinkets, perhaps even food stores.
- 3:09A small penis can easily reach their shores,
- 3:12and a little persuasion should yield what we need.
- 3:16They cling to peculiar beliefs, these savages.
- 3:19Perhaps their holy relics, their totems as they call them,
- 3:23hold some intrinsic value,
- 3:25something we could trade or simply take.
- 3:30Desperate times, my love, call for pragmatic measures.
- 3:34Hasten your journey, Elizabeth.
- 3:36Fortuna waits, yours, with unwavering ambition.
- 3:41Richard.
- 3:43[music]
- 4:06When last we left off,
- 4:08you guys had just finished telling your scary stories
- 4:11around the campfire at Camp Roanoke,
- 4:15when suddenly the very totem which you were using
- 4:18as sort of the "who's it?" of telling the stories
- 4:21began to shake and vibrate and glow with a mysterious magical light.
- 4:27And just as it sort of released that glow,
- 4:30you heard a mournful sound in the background,
- 4:33deep in the forests at the eastern end of this island
- 4:37that sounded very much like the very moan
- 4:40that Soapy Joe had once heard before
- 4:44that was the big foot that he saw.
- 4:47And then you turn to see the scrungus was waiting.
- 4:51The scrungus, the horrible creature that Martin Fresh
- 4:53had once allegedly seen in his cabin in the woods.
- 4:57It starts to move towards you guys.
- 5:01One clawed, horrible clawed foot at a time.
- 5:05It's dark gray.
- 5:07You don't even want to call it fur.
- 5:10It's almost flesh-like and almost oozes off of it.
- 5:14Kind of like some sort of gooey snail.
- 5:18But it has the visage of almost a bear-like creature,
- 5:22but it walks on two legs as it starts to approach you guys.
- 5:26What do you do?
- 5:28Well, Soapy Joe gets his camera out and starts recording.
- 5:31He stands up and points at it and goes, "What in the world is that thing?
- 5:35Crikey!"
- 5:37And you hear all of the four NPC individuals
- 5:41that are with you, the other camp workers,
- 5:44Ophelia, Hazel, Brayden, Justin, all just leap up.
- 5:48They shout, scream, yell, whatever the case,
- 5:51and they just start bolting away as fast as they possibly can.
- 5:55What is that thing? I've never seen anything like that in my life.
- 5:58That thing is freaky!
- 6:00And they disappear into the darkness of the camp.
- 6:04What are you guys doing?
- 6:06I'm vlogging.
- 6:08You're vlogging? This is true.
- 6:10I'm hiding behind one of the logs.
- 6:12Okay, guys, I think something is coming up through the woods.
- 6:16It looks like a Sasquatch, but I don't know.
- 6:19It's huge. It looks like a bear.
- 6:22And everyone else left.
- 6:24But I'm going to be here.
- 6:26I don't want to freak out.
- 6:28I wonder if my guy's quantum beads.
- 6:30What is it?
- 6:36Martin Fresh has claimed to have seen this thing once before.
- 6:42No, he hasn't.
- 6:44It's just something he made up.
- 6:46But whatever the case, the thing that's really crazy about it, though,
- 6:50that's probably throwing Martin off,
- 6:52is that he's seeing right now is exactly what he envisioned in his mind's eye
- 6:56when he was telling the story about this alleged scrum.
- 6:59Really? He wasn't really envisioning much.
- 7:01He was just making up words on the go.
- 7:03But I'm sure in some loose way, it's probably what he saw.
- 7:06Right, right. Whatever amount of detail popped into his head as he was speaking it,
- 7:10that detail is absolutely mimicked on this creature that's moving towards you guys.
- 7:16Let's get out of here before that bigfoot gets us.
- 7:21He runs away.
- 7:23Okay, Grieve, what are you doing?
- 7:25Grieve is going to take a look at that.
- 7:27My goodness, that is a beauty.
- 7:30Wait, it might actually be. Is that the strongest?
- 7:33I've got to get my net.
- 7:35I've got to get a closer look at thing.
- 7:37It's incredible. Look at that raw power.
- 7:40Is your net back at the cabin?
- 7:42Yeah.
- 7:43Okay, sounds good. So do you start running off to the cabin?
- 7:45Yeah.
- 7:46Okay, and then Soapy Joe, are you just...
- 7:49What do you do when you see these two guys just abandon you?
- 7:52It's a very drastic park. He left us. He left us.
- 7:55I think I'm going to... I mean, he's got to get closer.
- 7:59He's got to get the views.
- 8:01So he's going to get up a little closer to him and try and like...
- 8:05Is he moving or is he staying?
- 8:07Oh yeah, he's coming towards you guys.
- 8:09Like towards the fire.
- 8:10So yeah, he's going to try and get another angle on him.
- 8:12He's going to try and get a...
- 8:14You know, do his due diligence as a videographer.
- 8:18So he's going to try and get some close-up shots.
- 8:20Let me have you...
- 8:22Or I'm going to have you make a...
- 8:24It's like this is his moment.
- 8:26This is like, this is going to go so far.
- 8:28This is going to give me all the ad revenue.
- 8:30It's going to get another like 200 million views.
- 8:32That's like what's going through his head.
- 8:34I'm going to have you do an act under pressure.
- 8:37So you're going to roll your two dice and you're going to add your cool stat to it.
- 8:40And then based on what you roll, we will find out your...
- 8:43We got a six.
- 8:45Six total?
- 8:46Six total.
- 8:47Oh, that's going to be a failure.
- 8:48Hey.
- 8:49You start to walk towards it, right?
- 8:52And you've got your camera out and you're like,
- 8:54"Whoa, what is this thing?" or whatever.
- 8:56And then all of a sudden it's...
- 8:58I mean, it looks at you the second that you step out from behind the bench that you were at.
- 9:02And then it just wanders around and swatts at you.
- 9:05Hits you with one of its giant clawed paws.
- 9:08You take one harm from this.
- 9:11So if you look on your character sheet, you'll see there's a section labeled harm.
- 9:14You feel this huge claw scratch across your chest.
- 9:19It actually slices through one of your camera straps.
- 9:24You're able to catch...
- 9:25I think you're able to catch the camera before it like falls to the ground.
- 9:28But this thing is just attached to you.
- 9:30What are you doing in response?
- 9:32He's going to like fiddle and try and get his revolver and just,
- 9:35"I cast guns."
- 9:37Okay, well then we're going to follow that up with a kick some ass.
- 9:41The whole plus toughness.
- 9:43Oh my gosh, it's a negative one toughness.
- 9:45I got a seven.
- 9:46A seven, okay.
- 9:47On a seven plus you and whatever you're fighting inflict harm on each other,
- 9:51the amount of harm is based on the established dangers in the game.
- 9:55That usually means you inflict the harm rating of your weapon.
- 9:58Your enemy inflicts their attack harm rating on you.
- 10:01Alright, so what does your 32 revolver do?
- 10:03Two harm.
- 10:04Two harm.
- 10:05Alright, the shot rings out.
- 10:07A bullet slams into what is now a charging scrungus dealing too harm to it,
- 10:13but it ignores this bullet hitting it.
- 10:15Like you can see that it went into it and there was like an explosion of goo or gut or whatever this thing is made of.
- 10:22But it keeps heading towards you after taking that damage and slams into you,
- 10:26knocking back, giving you another one harm.
- 10:30And as you get thrown back, some of the essence that comes off of its body,
- 10:36this gray, goopy, gross gunk is like stuck to you and starts to kind of drip off slowly.
- 10:42Can I shoot him again?
- 10:44How many bullets do I have?
- 10:45Keep in mind that I think what is it, three harm is kind of the cutoff.
- 10:49If you get more than the three arm, you're like a harm.
- 10:51Oh, I'm like dying?
- 10:52Yeah, you're like dying.
- 10:53So just be aware of that.
- 10:55Yeah, I didn't know that.
- 10:56No, when you reach four or more, you become unstable, which is like bleeding out.
- 11:00You've taken like a pretty severe wound.
- 11:02Yeah, he's probably going to run away.
- 11:04Okay.
- 11:05Can you pick up his camera on the way?
- 11:06Oh, yeah, absolutely.
- 11:07Okay, so he picks up his camera and runs off and like he tries to just book it to a cabin
- 11:13and then like he wants to kind of fill him from inside a cabin.
- 11:16It's kind of give people an update.
- 11:18Okay, so Greaves was headed to his cabin.
- 11:21Which do you remember which one you were stationed at?
- 11:24Nope.
- 11:25Yes, Fig sounds correct.
- 11:26So Fig cabin is actually not too far away.
- 11:29Fig cabin is like just south of you guys.
- 11:31So you guys just start bolting for Fig cabin following Martin Fresh and Greaves close behind him.
- 11:38The three of you all hole up in the Fig cabin.
- 11:41Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, who says we haven't locked the doors behind us?
- 11:44Who's?
- 11:45Why are you saying I'm an army?
- 11:46I don't know.
- 11:47Because he's the monster?
- 11:48Maybe I just see the last people tailing.
- 11:49Yeah, he's just following whoever.
- 11:50Okay, he can follow us, but he's going to be male with a locked door until I say so.
- 11:53Oh, yeah, the door is locked.
- 11:54Oh, it's locked by both of us.
- 11:56Because he waited so long.
- 11:57Hurry up, shorts, get in here.
- 12:00Sophie, Joe, you slam into the door and find that it's locked.
- 12:03No, there's a scrungus.
- 12:07There's a scrungus outside.
- 12:10I know there's a scrungus outside.
- 12:13That doesn't sound like a scrungus, shorts, are we opening?
- 12:18If you were to spend so much time videography that you probably would have been safe.
- 12:23Do you swear there's no scrungus out there?
- 12:27There is a scrungus out here.
- 12:29Did you hear that beautiful creature?
- 12:32I heard a gunshot.
- 12:34I'm going to unlock the door and go to like peek out.
- 12:39S.E.P., sir, you just kick through and you jump in.
- 12:43Okay, so now the door is wide open, you guys see the scrungus is coming towards you guys.
- 12:47Quick shut the door.
- 12:48Quick shut the door.
- 12:49The scrungus is coming as I'm pointing out the door.
- 12:53You slam the door shut and just as you do the scrungus slams into it and just goes.
- 12:59Trying to get inside to get to you guys.
- 13:03Quick, open one of the back windows.
- 13:05What could you do?
- 13:07You lured him right here.
- 13:09Go get him, it's Shudder.
- 13:10You showed him, you made him mad.
- 13:13You know when I saw the scrungus last, I gave him a hot of ham and he went away and I'm all out of ham.
- 13:21It's burying down on our door right now.
- 13:24I'm all out of ham.
- 13:26Do we have anything to just to barricade the door with?
- 13:30Oh yeah, sure.
- 13:31There's like beds and stuff in there.
- 13:32You guys start barricading.
- 13:34I know you just said, grieves, you just said go to the back window.
- 13:37So you rush to the back window.
- 13:39You start to pull that open and as you do, you notice the other cabins and buildings on this facility,
- 13:45which all had like lights and stuff at the very least an exterior light that kind of just showed that, you know, this is where it's at.
- 13:52Because otherwise you're on an island that's otherwise void of light aside from the moon and the stars when it gets dark out, right?
- 13:57You see all the lights at these places.
- 14:01Just go out.
- 14:04Any electrical lights have suddenly stopped.
- 14:07This is like in sync as an oh, somebody cut the power.
- 14:10Yeah, so are the same.
- 14:11Is our lights out now?
- 14:12Yeah, the one that's on like the shed or whatever the oh yeah, if you had one inside.
- 14:15We're in our cabin.
- 14:16I wasn't sure if you turned the lights on in the cabin.
- 14:18So it's on.
- 14:19Okay, and now it's not.
- 14:20Oh no, I'm scared of the door.
- 14:23I gotta find my headlamp.
- 14:25I've got an infrared camera.
- 14:27I have a flashlight and I open up my fanny pack and I pull out my flashlight.
- 14:32Okay, and I turn it on.
- 14:34I'm assuming that the door is barricaded and the scrungus is still outside.
- 14:37Yes.
- 14:38Okay.
- 14:39Why would you ever make an assumption like that?
- 14:41Well, you did a great job barricading that door, Soapy Joe.
- 14:44Thanks, old guy.
- 14:46Whoa, you look like you took a number from that guy.
- 14:49Are you alright?
- 14:50Yeah, that's why I wanted him.
- 14:52I've got a couple band-aids, so you think that would help?
- 14:55It wouldn't not help.
- 14:56I've got some Neosporin.
- 14:58Oh, that's good for cuts and open wounds.
- 15:01I think I've got a couple of those.
- 15:03I'm gonna put my infrared camera and like film it outside.
- 15:06Do you think now's the best time for recording a dangerous beast?
- 15:11Well, as you peek outside the window, you notice that now that the light has gone off,
- 15:16the scrungus has started to, it is not banging on your door anymore.
- 15:20And you can see it with the infrared camera amidst the darkness starting to walk towards what looks like the mess hall.
- 15:26Alright, so he's filming and he's like, "Okay, I was just attacked by the scrungus.
- 15:31I had to shoot it, but it didn't work.
- 15:34And I want to barricade inside this cabin, but he's going away."
- 15:38Who are you talking to?
- 15:40I'm talking to... I almost died for this.
- 15:43Could you put your ego aside for one second to appreciate the beauty of that creature?
- 15:48No, he was private.
- 15:49What are you talking about?
- 15:50It's half of mine to let you die just to let it live.
- 15:53You can't even see that thing.
- 15:55Not anymore.
- 15:56Can you see it in that dude-ed gamer of yours?
- 16:00Yes, because it's-
- 16:01Where is it? Where is it? It's not banging on our door.
- 16:03They go around back.
- 16:04He opened the-shorts opened the window.
- 16:07She quick shot the window shorts.
- 16:09It's going towards the mess hall.
- 16:11Oh, it wants ham.
- 16:12Looks like ham.
- 16:13It's going to take our ham.
- 16:15It can smell it. I know it.
- 16:17Well, the mess hall looks like it'd be about a hundred yards away or something.
- 16:20So we can try and sneak up on it, right?
- 16:22Here's the mess hall and here's where we're at.
- 16:26How do you assume that's a hundred yards? You have no key.
- 16:28I don't know.
- 16:29Just-
- 16:30He's heading to the mess hall.
- 16:31He's heading to the mess hall.
- 16:32And you want to follow it?
- 16:33Why not?
- 16:34Um, kiss that ham goodbye.
- 16:37I know Shorts wants to check it out, so it's a two to one vote.
- 16:40Two to one?
- 16:41I would like to get a better gander at that thing.
- 16:44I'm not going?
- 16:45Crikey, it's beautiful.
- 16:46Then who's going to give him ham?
- 16:48Himself.
- 16:49Clearly, he's going there to serve himself.
- 16:52But fave for one.
- 16:54Hmm.
- 16:55Maybe this is an endangered creature.
- 16:57It needs to be rehabilitated.
- 16:59I need to be rehabilitated.
- 17:01You need to let your ego go for a second.
- 17:04This is like a moment in history.
- 17:06No one's going to believe us unless we have footage.
- 17:09With that being said, you suddenly hear a shout from over the mess hall.
- 17:14And I'm assuming you probably have a zoom on this camera.
- 17:17You zoom in and you see that Justin is on.
- 17:22So the pool is located right next to the mess hall.
- 17:25So you obviously people can go swimming in sort of the sections of water that are surrounding the island.
- 17:32But there is a literal pool that is it, which some of you were cleaning me.
- 17:38I cleaned that pool over by that pool.
- 17:40There are two sort of like TP style cabins, these very triangular cabins or conical even.
- 17:47And you see that Justin has managed to get himself stuck up on the roof of one of these little shower houses.
- 17:54And the scrungus has seen him and is trying to climb up it.
- 17:59Now, thankfully the scrungus is having a little bit of issue getting up that angle.
- 18:02But you also notice that Justin is having a hard time holding on to such an angle.
- 18:07And he is freaking out.
- 18:09So can we hear that yelling?
- 18:11Yes.
- 18:12Well, what do you see?
- 18:13What's making a wet yelling?
- 18:15Is he really happy to fight a ham?
- 18:17No, I think that kid with the totems getting chased.
- 18:20You can see that far?
- 18:22Yeah, that's a really good guess.
- 18:24That's exactly what's happening.
- 18:26Is that Australian outback knowledge, I guess.
- 18:29I guess that's what three weeks in the outback does for the eyes, wonders.
- 18:34Yeah.
- 18:35Screw eating carrots, I'm going to Australia.
- 18:38Foster.
- 18:39Yeah, it's a fondness of beer.
- 18:41He's been drinking beer?
- 18:42I guess.
- 18:43Where'd you get that?
- 18:44We were told it was a drink.
- 18:46What do they put in that beer?
- 18:48You should get a sponsorship with them.
- 18:50Every moment that you guys are chatting about beer, Justin is slipping a little bit at a time.
- 18:56We should probably, we need to go save this guy.
- 18:58I don't want to.
- 19:00I'll grab my net.
- 19:01Yeah, he's got his net.
- 19:02I'll grab my net.
- 19:03He looks around and he spots his set of golf clubs that he's been golfing every night to finish out the day.
- 19:10On the free golf course.
- 19:11That's right.
- 19:12Martin's been ending his day every day after he finishes his jobs.
- 19:15He goes to the golf course.
- 19:16Anyways, he, he grabs, I'm trying to think what would be the best club for fighting something with.
- 19:22I'm thinking an iron.
- 19:24That's the obvious choice, right?
- 19:26I'm guessing a pitching wedge.
- 19:28A wedge, yeah.
- 19:29A pitching wedge.
- 19:30It's got sharp edge.
- 19:31Yeah, this one thing has got the sharpest edge.
- 19:33Yeah, pitching wedge.
- 19:34He grabs his pitching wedge and he just take the thing off.
- 19:37It's a sharp and it's like a lance.
- 19:38I was also going to say a putter is not a bad one either because it's like, if you've got an old fashioned putter, they're just literally like L's.
- 19:45That's like a giant hammer basically.
- 19:47Yeah.
- 19:48He grabs both.
- 19:49Just take your whole set of golf clubs.
- 19:51I like this guy's thinking.
- 19:53Then you've got projectiles.
- 19:54Yeah, he's the golf ball.
- 19:55Yeah, he's slinging over his golf set on his back and he starts running.
- 19:59It's going to be like Duff Kiligan from Kim Bustable.
- 20:01Like put the T's between your fingers and use that as like a point.
- 20:04Okay, he's not going to do any of that.
- 20:06So Martin Fresh, you have your whole thing of golf clubs.
- 20:09Sobie Joe has his cameras and his 32 revolver apparently.
- 20:13How many bullets do I still have in this?
- 20:15I've only fired one.
- 20:16A revolver is six.
- 20:18A revolver is six out of five left.
- 20:21Did you have a box in your cabin like backups?
- 20:25Because we're not in your cabin.
- 20:27Do I have a box in our extra bullets in my bag?
- 20:29I don't think so.
- 20:30All right.
- 20:31So we'll just say I have five bullets left.
- 20:32Yeah.
- 20:33I didn't exactly plan to fight a whatever.
- 20:36A scrungus?
- 20:37I didn't exactly plan on fighting a scrungus while we were here.
- 20:40A scrungus to sneak up on you.
- 20:41Greaves over here has his a net gun and also I think a backup knife.
- 20:46Yeah, just a little pasta knife too.
- 20:48So with that, you guys, do you guys exit through the window?
- 20:52No.
- 20:53Oh, you clear the stuff in front of the door and then head out that way?
- 20:56The barricade?
- 20:57Well, how are we getting out of here?
- 20:58Through the window or through the door?
- 21:00Why did you open the window?
- 21:02In case it came in the front?
- 21:04I thought you were going to let it in the front door so you could take another selfie with it.
- 21:08Guys, guys, guys, people are in danger.
- 21:11Let's work.
- 21:12Let's work together.
- 21:13Teamwork makes the dream work as they say.
- 21:16You didn't do it.
- 21:17Okay.
- 21:18I'm the positive encouragement here.
- 21:20Are you guys going out through the door or the window?
- 21:22Yeah, through the door.
- 21:23Through the door.
- 21:24You clear the debris and the stuff that you've said in front of the door and you easily just
- 21:28walk right out the front of the door and start rushing towards the pool area.
- 21:32I will add that as we're running, everyone just hears this loud.
- 21:38I'm not too sure on the quietest type of these golf clubs.
- 21:42I maybe should have just brought my pigeon wedge.
- 21:44But now you got nine clubs.
- 21:46But I'm committed now.
- 21:48Actually, it's a set of 13.
- 21:50Thank you.
- 21:51Okay.
- 21:52It's a full big set.
- 21:53These guys like the woods.
- 21:54Two of those things are pack of wallop.
- 21:55Yep.
- 21:56So guys, out of the big cabin, you guys passed by the campfire once again, passed by the
- 22:03supply shack and end up right over by the pool and the showers.
- 22:08Question.
- 22:09Yes.
- 22:10Did he said short said short for the rest of this thing.
- 22:17Okay.
- 22:18Justin started calling him that day one and it just that's his style.
- 22:21He said Justin still has the totem thing.
- 22:23Is that true?
- 22:24Sure.
- 22:25The question was if Justin didn't have it, did he leave it at this campsite?
- 22:29Well, since I am more than happy to accept the idea that he has it based on the fact
- 22:33that Greaves said I see the totem.
- 22:36All right, we keep going.
- 22:38In fact, as you get closer to the showers, we're in Schmore's.
- 22:43Can I grab marshmallows?
- 22:45Sure.
- 22:46Food.
- 22:47It's the strongest.
- 22:48I know that's how to beat it is food.
- 22:50So I'm going to grab.
- 22:51I'm going to say that I'm going, hey guys, I'm grabbing the marshmallows.
- 22:54Food.
- 22:55Maybe, maybe if we can't find some ham, maybe a schmarr might lure it off.
- 22:59Fair enough.
- 23:00I'll grab whatever food I can find.
- 23:02He rubs his stomach because I know a good schmarr would lure me off.
- 23:06Martin Fresh, you have a pack of marshmallows.
- 23:09Greaves, you grab a pack or most of the pack of hot dogs.
- 23:13Oh, ham.
- 23:14Yeah.
- 23:15Ham and Jason.
- 23:16As you guys approach the shower houses, one of which is the one that Justin is trapped
- 23:22atop of.
- 23:23You actually see him trying to swing the totem at this monster to keep it at bay, but he's
- 23:29got to keep one arm holding on to the very top of this triangular shaped building.
- 23:34And he goes, guys, guys, oh my gosh, I'm so glad you're here.
- 23:37Please get this thing away from me.
- 23:39Hang on, Justin.
- 23:40We're coming.
- 23:41I'm hanging on as best I can do something.
- 23:44Yeah.
- 23:45Do something short.
- 23:46Well, I'm my, I got a gun.
- 23:49I'm pull out my gun.
- 23:51How, how far away are we from this thing as close as you want to get?
- 23:55You think that's a good idea to shoot your gun as I see him raises gun.
- 24:00Justin's in the background.
- 24:01Well, I'll get off to the side.
- 24:03So like if I shoot straight, I can't, I can't miss and hit Justin.
- 24:07There's no shot as his shooting.
- 24:10Grieve is trying to push the shot away.
- 24:12He's like, no, don't hit it.
- 24:14So you're running around to get a better spot and Greaves is now chasing you going, don't
- 24:19shoot.
- 24:20Interesting situation where you're going to have, you're going to have a soapy Joe is
- 24:25going to be rolling kick some ass and then you're going to have Greaves rolling a protect
- 24:30somebody or protect someone, which ironically is the monster.
- 24:34So you're rolling with tough.
- 24:35I got a seven.
- 24:36A seven.
- 24:37Okay.
- 24:38That's a mixed success.
- 24:39Three.
- 24:40Three.
- 24:41Okay.
- 24:42So Greaves, you just don't react fast enough.
- 24:44You, you completely miss the idea of stopping the shot from going through.
- 24:49You turn around and you're like, no, as he's already taking the shot.
- 24:54Slow-mo dive.
- 24:55That's just completely failed.
- 24:56You fall like five feet short seeing that he has failed to stop that line of thinking
- 25:01he is going to, what is one of the stats on this net gun?
- 25:05Can I just shoot my net at it?
- 25:07Yeah, I think it's, it's more conceptual.
- 25:09Yeah.
- 25:10With that being said, a soapy Joe does manage to take a shot on the monster.
- 25:15What are you going to do once the guns out of bullets?
- 25:18I don't know.
- 25:19Well, hopefully we don't get to that clay.
- 25:21Once again, the bullet embeds itself in this monster, which turns around and starts to
- 25:26move, just jolts towards you, slams into you.
- 25:29Once again, I'm sending you flying backwards, taking one more harm.
- 25:32That's tough.
- 25:33Yeah.
- 25:34I inflict two on him.
- 25:35You did inflict two on him.
- 25:36That's true.
- 25:37What, so what's, what's, what's short's doing?
- 25:39Yeah.
- 25:40What is short's doing?
- 25:41He is now lying into, I've assumed it's mauling him at the moment.
- 25:44So he's going to attempt to, uh, shoot it with a net and capture them both.
- 25:48Okay.
- 25:49See, you're getting close.
- 25:51That's both in minutes.
- 25:53Okay.
- 25:54Does your net gun have any information on it?
- 25:56Oh, it did.
- 25:57It did?
- 25:58Okay.
- 25:59Yes.
- 26:00It says zero harm, close area, heavy, slow and tangle.
- 26:04Okay.
- 26:05So it's going to entangle.
- 26:06Okay.
- 26:07So I'm assuming you roll, kick some ass as well.
- 26:08Oh, seven.
- 26:09Okay.
- 26:10So you fire, uh, this net.
- 26:12Actually, I think, uh, what happens is, is that the strongest slams into you, soapy Joe,
- 26:17sending him flying, turns around to see the other two of you, Martin fresh and of course,
- 26:21yourself, creeps and it turns and it starts to rush towards you.
- 26:24Now you've had animals, wild animals rushed towards you as well in the past, right?
- 26:30Maybe you were out, um, on the Serengeti in a lion came rushing towards you, but you
- 26:36were able to, uh, keep your nerve, which is kind of a big thing with like your, your
- 26:41style and stuff like that.
- 26:42So in this moment, you are also keeping your nerve and you fire this net gun, which flies
- 26:48for is wrapping itself around this, the strange unknown creature.
- 26:53It slams to the ground having tripped on the thing, but it's one of those classic situations
- 26:58in the movie where something is like broken and it's sliding towards the person.
- 27:02But unfortunately in your case, it does reach you ever so slightly and bumps into you.
- 27:07I'm causing you to take one harm.
- 27:09That must have been a very aggressive bump.
- 27:11It was an aggressive bump.
- 27:13Yeah.
- 27:14Um, you pick yourself up off the ground and you have successfully netted this creature
- 27:18while this is happening.
- 27:20Um, Martin has set down his golf clubs because he's there and he pulls out his driver and
- 27:27he takes out, uh, grabs a golf ball and a tee and he sets it down.
- 27:32And so while this is sliding forward, he's setting up and then he positions himself.
- 27:36He does a little shake with his butt.
- 27:38Yep. And then he sees it's lined up right there in front of him and he goes, Oh, he
- 27:44smacks it as hard as he can.
- 27:47All right, dude, do one more kick some ass.
- 27:49Oh, no, I swear if he hits me on this.
- 27:52Okay.
- 27:53Um, so it's a six, a six.
- 27:55Okay. Well, here's what happens because the creature is currently contained.
- 27:58I'm not going to have you take harm on this one.
- 28:00Oh yeah, you can add bonuses.
- 28:02That is a thing in this game.
- 28:03You can give someone plus one help.
- 28:06Yeah, no, yeah, it's basically like help, but you give them plus one on their next forward
- 28:10is what's called in their next action.
- 28:12Right. So I'm just saying, do I have plus one forward because it's entangled?
- 28:16Here's what I'll say.
- 28:17It, you don't have plus one forward on it for doing it, but it's not going to deal you
- 28:21damage.
- 28:22That's kind of your bonus because this thing is entangled.
- 28:24It's not going to be able to lash out at you, um, which normally would happen if you, if
- 28:28you had a failure.
- 28:29Okay.
- 28:30Even with the mixed success, typically you would still take damage from it.
- 28:33Um, so I'm going to forego that, but you also don't manage to hit it.
- 28:38Now with that being said, Justin quickly slides down the roof of this shower house and joins
- 28:44you guys and says, guys, I don't know how long that's going to hold that thing, but
- 28:49I found out some information that I think is going to be beneficial.
- 28:51Uh, can we get out of here?
- 28:54And as he's saying this, you see the scrungus and its claws are peeking out through the
- 28:58various holes in this, in this net and you can see it as it starts to almost pluck these
- 29:04strings and it's the net, um, severing them.
- 29:07So it's slowly starting to break out.
- 29:10You have to tell me twice and I slam my golf club back into the bag and I sling it on my
- 29:17shoulders.
- 29:18Okay.
- 29:19Can I like shoot it one more time?
- 29:20If you want to, she's an angry Sheila.
- 29:23He's like, he's, so he's like, I imagine so like Joe's just like, he's laying there on
- 29:27his back and he's like peels himself up off the ground.
- 29:31His guns right next to him.
- 29:32He sees the thing in the, he sees the scrungus in the, in the net.
- 29:36So he's like, he's kind of flumps over and it just tries to take one last shot before
- 29:41like getting up and running.
- 29:43Okay.
- 29:44Seven, seven.
- 29:46You shoot it and it takes another two harm.
- 29:49The bullet wedges inside.
- 29:51Uh, but as you do this, it angers the monster monster.
- 29:55He's going to pull into this net.
- 30:00It's going to release itself here shortly.
- 30:02Yeah.
- 30:03He's, he's up and out of there.
- 30:04He's, he's running away.
- 30:05All right.
- 30:06It sounds good.
- 30:07You got one last shot in, but it's now escaping.
- 30:08You guys, uh, follow Justin.
- 30:10He rushes into the open doors of the mess hall and like kind of waves his arm to get you
- 30:15guys to go inside.
- 30:16Come on.
- 30:17Come on.
- 30:18Come on.
- 30:19Come on.
- 30:20It's get back up.
- 30:21Shorts, throw some ham into the pool.
- 30:22Yeah.
- 30:23Where are my hot dogs?
- 30:24Throw a couple of hot dogs behind me.
- 30:26Throw a couple of hot dogs.
- 30:27The pool, the pool.
- 30:28He throws them at the pool.
- 30:30Okay.
- 30:31So you don't have to roll for it.
- 30:32It's all good.
- 30:33Um, you, you hurl these hot dogs into the pool and you see the scrungus for a moment
- 30:37goes and it follows it with its eyes, giving you guys just enough time to get inside the
- 30:43mess hall.
- 30:44We hear it audibly say, "my arm."
- 30:48Possibly.
- 30:49You're not sure.
- 30:50It gives a growl and you're not really quite sure what it says per se, but uh, you definitely
- 30:54managed to get inside and Justin pulls the door behind and you see him like put like a
- 30:59bar or something or maybe it's just a room.
- 31:02Barricade, barricade.
- 31:03And I look directly at a soapy Joe who barricaded the last door.
- 31:12I hate you as he just starts to barricade.
- 31:16You're just looking at her.
- 31:17You're doing a great job.
- 31:20I'm peeing.
- 31:21I smell s'mores in your future.
- 31:24If you want, I can videotape you moving this furniture.
- 31:27I hate you.
- 31:29All right.
- 31:30So soapy Joe, you're going to be barricading the door.
- 31:33The other two you, or I guess kind of all of you right there are standing there and Justin
- 31:37says, "guys, I think I found something that might give us some answers to this whole,
- 31:41this thing."
- 31:42And he holds up the totem.
- 31:43He says, "come with me.
- 31:44Come with me.
- 31:45It's in the museum thing."
- 31:46And he starts to lead you guys towards the museum.
- 31:48I said down in my golf clubs.
- 31:50And I mean, you can bring him with you on to.
- 31:53No, no, okay.
- 31:54He leads you guys over to the museum wing and he starts to point out there's some letters
- 32:00and they're in like that classic old English and they're in cursive and such like that.
- 32:06And he says, "I wasn't able to get all the words out of this because if I'm being honest,
- 32:11I don't really read old English."
- 32:13Oh, I know old English.
- 32:14Oh, see, I knew you would.
- 32:16I knew you would.
- 32:17And so I figured that you'd be able to sort of interpret it.
- 32:20But I noticed a couple of things in here.
- 32:22Basically there was this guy.
- 32:24His name was Martin Fresh.
- 32:25You're reading this.
- 32:26You're able to kind of make this stuff out.
- 32:27William Shetner lived in Davenport, Iowa.
- 32:33You read this series of letters that are from an individual named Richard Ancock.
- 32:40And he was from England and he came across on the first boats and landed on Roanoke Island
- 32:46but it mentions how originally there was, they stopped on the mainland and they met
- 32:53with a native tribe that was there.
- 32:55And during their sort of restocking or resupplying on this island, there was a silver cup from
- 33:02the captain that went missing.
- 33:05And the captain, kind of a questionable dude, was easily tempered and demanded to know who
- 33:10it was that took the silver cup.
- 33:12And nobody volunteered.
- 33:13So he assumed it must have been somebody from the native tribe.
- 33:17And so in response, they burned the village and killed everybody there.
- 33:22Secretly it was Richard that had taken the silver cup and let the natives take the fall
- 33:26for it.
- 33:27He stowed it away.
- 33:29And you can see in these letters, they're letters that he's sending to his wife back
- 33:33in England, encouraging her to come over to the new world where he is going to essentially
- 33:39make sure that they are one of the richest families that will be starting a life here
- 33:43in this new world.
- 33:45The next letters talk about how the voyage unfortunately used up a lot of their supplies
- 33:52and left them a little bit destitute when it came to the necessities, food and stuff
- 33:57like that.
- 33:58So the captain disappeared off to England and shortly thereafter, the Sir Francis Drake
- 34:04stopped by the island.
- 34:06Now Sir Francis Drake did not have any supplies to share with them.
- 34:09So instead he offered to take whoever wanted to go back to England since they didn't have
- 34:15supplies to live off of here.
- 34:17All but 15 men went on that journey, went back to England, leaving the 15 men behind
- 34:22to live in this colony, one of them being Richard Amcock.
- 34:27Now Richard in an attempt to sway the natives to give them the supplies that they need stole
- 34:34a totem from one of their holy places.
- 34:44October 10th, 1586.
- 34:47Elizabeth, my love.
- 34:50Or perhaps I should say Elizabeth, witness to madness.
- 34:56I did it.
- 34:57I took the penis to that nearby island, the one they called Croatoan.
- 35:03The natives there, their ways are even stranger.
- 35:07They have erected small shrines adorned with carvings and things.
- 35:12It was from one of those crude structures that I took it.
- 35:17A totem, carved from dark wood, it pulsed with a faint energy.
- 35:25A hum you could almost feel against your palm.
- 35:27I confessed my intentions were purely mercenary.
- 35:31I thought it might be worth something, a curiosity to trade, but now I am not so sure.
- 35:39As I fled their village, one of them saw me.
- 35:41He gave chase, his cries guttural, and enraged.
- 35:44I was cornered Elizabeth, with water at my back and his spear raised.
- 35:49In desperation I pointed into the trees and shouted the first thing that came to my mind,
- 35:54"Look!
- 35:55A bear!"
- 35:56And then there was a bear.
- 36:00A massive, snarling beast that seemed to materialize from thin air.
- 36:07It attacked the natives, tearing into him with savage ferocity.
- 36:11I swear, Elizabeth, there was no bear there moments before.
- 36:17I scrambled back to the boat, my heart hammering and didn't look back.
- 36:23A few nights later, around the meagre fire we keep burning, I showed the others my prize.
- 36:28They were superstitious fools muttering about curses in dark magic.
- 36:33I scoffed, of course, to ease their fears and perhaps my own unease.
- 36:39We began to tell stories, tales of the old country, of things that go bump in the night.
- 36:45I recounted my favorite, the chilling legend of Edmund, the headless knight, forever seeking
- 36:52his lost head or a replacement.
- 36:56This morning we found Bartholomew, not far from his cabin, his body.
- 37:01Elizabeth, his head was gone.
- 37:05Cleanly severed, there was so little blood.
- 37:10The others are whispering, their faces pale with terror, but I think I know.
- 37:17That totem.
- 37:19It hums still, Elizabeth, a dark vibration against my skin.
- 37:23I told a story of a headless knight and now could it be?
- 37:29Could this croof carving possess such a terrible power?
- 37:34To bring the very horrors we speak of into being, the thought is monstrous, unbelievable
- 37:40and yet the bear Bartholomew.
- 37:45I feel a terrifying understanding dawning within me.
- 37:50This is not mere wood and bone.
- 37:53This is something else, something powerful, something dark.
- 37:59You must understand this, Elizabeth.
- 38:03I must learn how to control it.
- 38:07Imagine the possibilities.
- 38:10The power to shape reality with a whispered tale, but the fear, chilling, creeping fear
- 38:18that I have unleashed something that I cannot contain it, it claws at my throat.
- 38:26Right to me, Elizabeth, tell me I am mad.
- 38:30Tell me that this is just a nightmare.
- 38:35Tell me this is just a nightmare.
- 38:38Yours haunted and afraid.
- 38:43Richard.
- 38:55So basically, there's gotta be something here, right?
- 38:59This isn't just a normal totem, this is some kind of magic stuff.
- 39:02When did you find this out, Justin?
- 39:06What?
- 39:07All this stuff in these letters?
- 39:09It's just in these letters.
- 39:11They've been here the whole time.
- 39:13So you didn't look at these letters when you stole this totem earlier?
- 39:18No, I didn't look at them until just now.
- 39:21So I ran straight here and then I was coming to tell you guys and that's how I got stuck
- 39:25up on the roof.
- 39:26Can I see the totem?
- 39:27Oh yeah, I don't want this thing and he hands you the totem.
- 39:30Oh sick.
- 39:31Yeah.
- 39:32You keep that.
- 39:33In fact, if you want to take that thing anywhere else.
- 39:34I wish no more scrungus.
- 39:36Nothing happens.
- 39:37Hey, he's gone.
- 39:40What if we break the totem?
- 39:42Oh, I like that idea.
- 39:44Let's break the totem.
- 39:45Let's have this guy shoot at it.
- 39:47I only got three bullets.
- 39:50Are you sure that's a good idea?
- 39:51I don't think he could hit anything with that.
- 39:53What if you have to use the totem to get rid of the monsters or something?
- 39:56But what if we have to get rid of the totem to get rid of the monster?
- 39:59That's a good point too.
- 40:00Yeah, what if breaking it is the solution?
- 40:02I mean, you guys see, you could try.
- 40:03I mean, what's the worst that could happen?
- 40:05Yeah.
- 40:06Another scrungus?
- 40:07That is pretty bad, actually.
- 40:08That sounds terrifying.
- 40:10That would be really bad.
- 40:12That is the worst that could happen.
- 40:13We're going to run off so much ham.
- 40:14Unless there's a scarier scrungus, yeah, that would 100% be the worst thing that could
- 40:18happen.
- 40:19Oh, he did wish for big flits and he wished for big L.
- 40:23Maybe it's, oh crap.
- 40:25What?
- 40:26Okay, we'll deal with that later.
- 40:27Hopefully not.
- 40:28Hopefully not.
- 40:29But whatever the case, I think we should refrain.
- 40:32Anyone who's holding the totem, let's refrain from using the word wish just in case.
- 40:37Got it.
- 40:38I wish for a million dollars.
- 40:41That's certainly not the worst thing that could happen.
- 40:43I wish for a better drive.
- 40:45Drive?
- 40:46In my golf game.
- 40:47Oh, it's a golf game.
- 40:48Yeah, I don't know about that.
- 40:50They were.
- 40:51I'll let them out in the other room.
- 40:53Well, I wish to improve my chipping game.
- 40:57Chipping game.
- 40:58Guys, I think I'll like this thing.
- 41:01Any other wishes?
- 41:03Longer shorts?
- 41:06He looks over and his shorts do not extend and it kind of makes you question if this
- 41:12is quite how this works.
- 41:13I say we destroy it.
- 41:15I'm down to the next.
- 41:18Let me get this on video.
- 41:19There might be an axe over in the supply.
- 41:21I mess hall.
- 41:22Maybe there's a jack.
- 41:23Cleaver.
- 41:24So I get, I get my camera out and I'm just filming this whole thing.
- 41:27Don't you have a giant knife?
- 41:29No, it's like a pocket knife.
- 41:31Oh, it is a survival knife.
- 41:33One harm hand.
- 41:34I got a good focus on it.
- 41:36Let's destroy it.
- 41:37We go to the meat, the kitchen.
- 41:38Oh, yeah, there's some cleavers in there.
- 41:41Sick.
- 41:42Shorts, you can do it.
- 41:43Yeah, I'm gonna grab a meat cleaver.
- 41:45Okay.
- 41:46And I'm gonna hack on it.
- 41:48Do a.
- 41:49Shoot, is this like an act under pressure?
- 41:52Yeah, let's do act under pressure.
- 41:54While this is happening, Martin sticks his face like directly in the camera and goes,
- 41:59"This episode is brought to you by fresh detergent."
- 42:04You're doing a plug?
- 42:06Yeah.
- 42:07For your family's detergent company.
- 42:09My family has a detergent line.
- 42:12Fresh is the best.
- 42:13Okay.
- 42:14Six.
- 42:15Six.
- 42:16You take this cleaver and you come slamming down with it, trying to put all your force
- 42:20into this so you can chop it and hopefully cut this magic out of existence.
- 42:26As you do, as soon as the blade touches the wood, there is a small explosion of light.
- 42:32That shoots the now-dented, horribly dented cleaver backwards, flying out of your hand
- 42:40and across the mess hall.
- 42:41Whoa, that was like the scene from Lord of the Rings.
- 42:44Yes, that's a good example.
- 42:45Oh my gosh, what was that?
- 42:47Lord of the Rings.
- 42:48Well, hit it again.
- 42:49Don't have my cleaver, it's over there.
- 42:52It's in the wall.
- 42:53Guys, that might have been the only cleaver in this whole kitchen.
- 42:55I did not.
- 42:56I doubt that.
- 42:57I don't think they're equipped to like do that kind of cooking.
- 43:00I think it was a safety one.
- 43:02Crushed it, burned it.
- 43:04Oh, burned it.
- 43:05Burned it.
- 43:06Burning works with wood.
- 43:07Yeah, start the gas stove on fire.
- 43:10What should I preheat to?
- 43:11Their gas stove?
- 43:12500.
- 43:13Yeah, it's a gas stove.
- 43:15I think it runs on propane.
- 43:16Oh, sorry.
- 43:17I think it runs on propane.
- 43:19What was that?
- 43:20Propane, propane.
- 43:21Oh, okay.
- 43:22Yeah, turn it up.
- 43:25He flicks the dial and pushes it in.
- 43:29You hear that?
- 43:31Joe's just like setting up right next to the thing for a good shot.
- 43:34I'm going to look for tongs to hold the totem.
- 43:37You don't have to roll anything.
- 43:38You're just holding it over a fire with tongs.
- 43:39Yeah, you hold it over and you notice that the fires just do.
- 43:43It's almost like they go around the totem.
- 43:46Is there cool red writing?
- 43:48No, there's not any cool red writing that glows out of it.
- 43:51No.
- 43:52Dang, could have gone two for two.
- 43:53Now, what I really need, that's a good point.
- 43:55If you're reading this, you're too close.
- 44:00All of a sudden, you hear a sound come out of Justin's butt.
- 44:05Out of his what?
- 44:06His butt.
- 44:07Is this for real?
- 44:08Who is that?
- 44:09Justin's.
- 44:10Oh, zoom the camera over to Justin.
- 44:12So he's farting.
- 44:13No, you hear, he's a focus of camera.
- 44:16He's like, oh my gosh, I'm so embarrassed.
- 44:17No, it's a, it is the sound of like a walkie-talkie going off.
- 44:22And you hear what sounds like.
- 44:23That's in his pocket.
- 44:24I know, I just thought it was really funny.
- 44:27You hear the voice of Braden on the other side.
- 44:30Hey, Justin, are you there?
- 44:33Justin, do you copy?
- 44:35Are you still alive or did the scrungest get you?
- 44:38And he picks up the walkie-talkie and says, no, no, no, no, I'm here.
- 44:41I'm here.
- 44:42What's up, Braden?
- 44:43Dude, I'm in the supply shed and there are like, there's like weapons in here.
- 44:48Like there's like bows and arrows and BB guns and stuff.
- 44:51But the problem is, is behind the electrical door.
- 44:54And that's not gonna open until we get the electricity back on.
- 44:57I'm pretty darn sure there's a generator that's kept in a shack in the woods.
- 45:02Are you down to help?
- 45:05I mean, I'm really not interested in going into the woods, but yeah, but like we need
- 45:10weapons to fight these monsters or whatever.
- 45:12So like, are you with anybody else?
- 45:15Anybody else make it?
- 45:17Yeah, I'm here with the old guys and the dude with the camera.
- 45:23What do you mean old guy?
- 45:24I'm 27.
- 45:25Oh, sorry.
- 45:26That's not the most pressing issue right now.
- 45:28I'm with Shorts, the history teacher and the guy with the cameras.
- 45:34Soaps.
- 45:35Oh, yes.
- 45:36Soaps, soaps, Joe.
- 45:37Soap, Joe.
- 45:38Soaps, Joseph.
- 45:39What's soaps, Joseph?
- 45:41That's my Christian name.
- 45:43We figured it out.
- 45:45Well, I'm gonna need all the help I can get.
- 45:49So if you guys can meet me down here at the supply shed, I think if we all go into the
- 45:53woods, we might, I don't know what we're gonna need, but I've got canisters of gas in here.
- 45:57Maybe we just have to refill the generator, but I'm gonna need some help carrying stuff.
- 46:01Wait, wait, wait, wait.
- 46:02What kind of lock is it?
- 46:04It's an electrical lock and it didn't disable when it's not like in the movies.
- 46:09Like it was locked and so now it's just locked.
- 46:11It's like a metal, it's a gate type lock thing.
- 46:15Anyway, I can't get behind there.
- 46:17Plus, I mean, let's be honest, Mr. Really's gonna be pissed if I break it.
- 46:21I reach for the my walkie-talkie.
- 46:24Your walkie-talkie?
- 46:25No, reach for the walkie-talkie.
- 46:26Okay.
- 46:27Yep, yep, yep.
- 46:28Hi, this is Martin Fresh.
- 46:30I'm really scared.
- 46:31I handed back to, I handed back to some of you.
- 46:35I think we all are.
- 46:36So I can't suit it, can I?
- 46:39Suiting things is really my solution to everything, but I could hit it with a golf club.
- 46:43I don't know if it's gonna work.
- 46:44How about this?
- 46:46We leave.
- 46:47Yeah.
- 46:48If you guys want to come over to the supply shed, I think that'd be great.
- 46:51No, there's no way for us to get in.
- 46:53How do we get in?
- 46:54Oh, I'm at the door.
- 46:55I was to let you in.
- 46:57Oh.
- 46:58Just sneak past the scrungus.
- 47:00Where is that scrungus?
- 47:01Where do you be?
- 47:02I got my camera.
- 47:03I'll look outside the window.
- 47:05Yeah, you losing your splash around at a little pool party, some ham.
- 47:09You look outside with your infrared camera.
- 47:11You do not see the scrungus anywhere.
- 47:14Looks like the coams are clean.
- 47:15Do you have any more hot dogs left?
- 47:16No, I assumed you threw the whole pack.
- 47:18I did?
- 47:19I mean, here's what I could say, though.
- 47:20You're in the mess hall.
- 47:21I mean, we can grab more ham.
- 47:22Yeah, looking for some food.
- 47:24Okay.
- 47:25Yeah, there's definitely plenty of food items in here.
- 47:26Is there any?
- 47:27Are there any to heal the harm I have been inflicted?
- 47:30No, this isn't like a video game.
- 47:33It's not like Minecraft where you can just eat food and heal.
- 47:37I will say there is food supplies.
- 47:40There's various kitchen supplies, obviously, pots, pans, so on and so forth.
- 47:44Is there like a first aid kit box?
- 47:47No.
- 47:48You do know that there would be in the recovery cabin, which is not far away.
- 47:54Actually, ironically, the recovery cabin is semi-between you guys and the supply shed.
- 48:00Look at that.
- 48:01Look at that.
- 48:02Grieve is going to check the spice cabinet for a bottle of pepper or a jar of pepper.
- 48:07Oh yeah, definitely.
- 48:08And he will grab as many as he can.
- 48:11There's like one big, big one.
- 48:13He will grab it.
- 48:14It's the Costco giant pepper tub.
- 48:18He grabbed it.
- 48:19Yeah.
- 48:20Okay.
- 48:21Any holiday hams?
- 48:22No.
- 48:23This is a summer camp.
- 48:24It'd be more grilling stuff.
- 48:25Burgers?
- 48:26Raw hamburger meat.
- 48:28Yeah, raw hamburger meat.
- 48:30Okay.
- 48:31Okay.
- 48:32So with that being said, you guys grab that stuff and then you follow in after Sobie Joe,
- 48:34who's rushing to the recovery cabin, which is just south of you guys, pass the pool.
- 48:40As you pass by the pool, you do not see the scrungus anymore.
- 48:43The scrungus has disappeared somewhere else on the island, but you do see the fragments
- 48:48leftover of the net that you had captured it in, meaning that it definitely managed
- 48:52to escape.
- 48:53But where it went, it's unsure.
- 48:54How many nets do I have?
- 48:56That is a good question.
- 48:58I'm going to say you have a two left.
- 49:00So you have three to start with.
- 49:01It sounds like a good number.
- 49:02There might be an opportunity to get more.
- 49:04Ooh.
- 49:05But with that being said, you guys make it to the recovery cabin.
- 49:09And while you are there, you go inside.
- 49:12There's a variety of different, you know, those little beds, like hospitals type, type
- 49:15beds or whatever the ones with the wheels on them.
- 49:18It's I mean, it's basically exactly what you'd think of for a summer camp nurses station.
- 49:22Right.
- 49:23It's not a lot that's in there per se, especially because there's no nurse there that brought
- 49:27like a stock of various stuff.
- 49:29But you do find, you know, some medical supplies, some medicine blankets and pillows.
- 49:33There's even a small like cabinet with some medical reference books.
- 49:36And you even see a handful of like crutches and slings and things like that.
- 49:40Is the fridge out?
- 49:41Yes.
- 49:42Oh, no.
- 49:43The bed?
- 49:44The anti-venom.
- 49:45The insulin.
- 49:46The insulin.
- 49:47The insulin.
- 49:48The insulin.
- 49:49Copy pens.
- 49:50No.
- 49:51What if we get stung by a bee?
- 49:54Skyler would die.
- 49:56I'm so sorry, soaps, Joe.
- 49:58You're going to die.
- 49:59I didn't establish I was diabetic in this.
- 50:05With that being said, I will say that you do find a handful of gauze and other medical
- 50:11supplies and I will say that you heal too hard.
- 50:15Wow.
- 50:16I can shoot them again.
- 50:17Both of them?
- 50:18Both of what?
- 50:19They're both injured.
- 50:20Oh yeah, that's right.
- 50:21Well, yeah, you only had one.
- 50:22So yeah, you, uh, uh, Greaves also heals one.
- 50:25A bandaid, but Dora the Explorer on it.
- 50:27So I heal one.
- 50:28Slap it all in one.
- 50:29And he heals one or I heal two.
- 50:31And he heals.
- 50:32You heal two.
- 50:33We give you all the good stuff.
- 50:34And then can I give his boo boo a big kiss and as a heal next to one?
- 50:39Do you give him a big smooch?
- 50:40Uh, yeah, absolutely.
- 50:41Yeah.
- 50:42Ah, kissing the homies relieves all harm.
- 50:46No, you ended up with mono, the kissing disease.
- 50:49Take three harm.
- 50:50Okay, so you guys are feeling a lot better and you look out and you can see the supply
- 50:57shack and with your infrared camera, you can see Braden is like nervously peeking out the
- 51:03cabin trying to see you guys amidst the darkness.
- 51:06Can I see the scrungus?
- 51:08You do not see that you continue to not see the scrungus anywhere.
- 51:11We got to run.
- 51:12Ready?
- 51:13Three, two, one.
- 51:14Charge.
- 51:15Shout that as you charge.
- 51:18Just to clarify here.
- 51:21That seemed like the one rule.
- 51:22Question.
- 51:23Did we take the, did the shorts bring the totem with him or did he just leave it in the
- 51:28open?
- 51:29I'm assuming you kept it.
- 51:30I probably kept it.
- 51:31Yeah.
- 51:32I thought, all right, so suds gang.
- 51:33So got attacked.
- 51:34Okay, let's go.
- 51:35Yeah, let's leave.
- 51:36Oh, I assume he was doing this as you guys were like shuffling.
- 51:39I don't think he'd be whispering.
- 51:41We got attacked by the Spookies.
- 51:42I will not be waiting for that.
- 51:43We had to hit the recovery cabin.
- 51:46We're running over to the supply shack right now.
- 51:47You got like bandages on your head, like some war veteran or something.
- 51:52Guys, I can't believe this.
- 51:53You know, it's a lot easier to run without talking.
- 51:57I know, but the suds gang's got to know.
- 51:59This is going to be huge.
- 52:01And you, you finish up your video there.
- 52:03Just as you guys are getting to the doors of the supply cabin, Braden quickly waves
- 52:07you guys inside and then closes it behind him.
- 52:09He looks out nervously.
- 52:10He's like, okay, I don't think I see anything out there.
- 52:14All right.
- 52:15So as you can see, doors locked.
- 52:18I've got a couple of Jerry cans here for, oh, with some gasoline in them.
- 52:23And if you guys, if somebody wants to carry one, I could carry one.
- 52:27I could carry both, but like, what if we run into the thing?
- 52:30Like not, not to be that guy, but any holds up a baseball bat that he's already stuck
- 52:35some spikes and nails into.
- 52:37And he says, I can't beat the thing if I'm carrying Jerry cans.
- 52:43Oh, if somebody else wants to take those and then that way I can act as defense.
- 52:49Martin puts his hand finger to his nose really fast.
- 52:51I hear it as well.
- 52:53I guess.
- 52:54Oh, sure.
- 52:56I have a gun.
- 52:58I have a gun.
- 53:01I mean, okay, okay.
- 53:02You keep the gun train ready to go.
- 53:04I've got the baseball bat.
- 53:06What about you?
- 53:07I've got my golf clubs.
- 53:09Okay.
- 53:10I really don't have a weapon.
- 53:12So I probably should be carrying the gas cans.
- 53:14Okay.
- 53:15You take a gas can.
- 53:16Are you on both of them?
- 53:17Yeah.
- 53:18Oh, dude.
- 53:19Hey, my hero.
- 53:20Awesome.
- 53:21So you take the Jerry cans.
- 53:22He's got the baseball bat.
- 53:23I'm going to say that Justin grabs like a pair of tennis rackets.
- 53:27Wow.
- 53:28Yeah.
- 53:29He's not the most helpful person.
- 53:30Well, he's got his whole thing of golf clubs.
- 53:32Maybe you can spare a couple.
- 53:34Could you spare me a golf club?
- 53:36Oh, no, no, no, no.
- 53:37There's got to be putters there.
- 53:38Yeah.
- 53:39Because they have a golf course.
- 53:40He grabs a putter and he's like, is this one good?
- 53:42No, but it's a little work for now.
- 53:44Oh, wait.
- 53:46You meant for beating a monster?
- 53:47Oh, yeah.
- 53:48It'll work fine.
- 53:49Yeah.
- 53:50That's what I'm concerned about.
- 53:51I mean, you meant on the actual golf course because that one's not, that's pretty cheaply
- 53:55made, but it's metal.
- 53:56It'll do the trick.
- 53:58Okay.
- 53:59All right.
- 54:00So where are we headed?
- 54:01Okay.
- 54:02So I looked at the map for the emergency stuff and it says that the generator is located
- 54:06right here.
- 54:07Any points, just a little ways inside the forest based on the park map.
- 54:12This is the generator.
- 54:14So basically I figure it must be out of gas, which is why the electricity goes out.
- 54:20So we just got to refill it and we're going to go.
- 54:22You know, easy peasy.
- 54:23So stealth option.
- 54:24Is that what we're going with?
- 54:27You guys cool with that?
- 54:28It's not really stealth.
- 54:29If I'm wearing my golf clubs and chatterboxes, the login.
- 54:33Yeah, I still have to do my ad read.
- 54:35So I think we were going to do that while we're walking.
- 54:38So we'll just do sprint.
- 54:39All right.
- 54:40Let's go guys.
- 54:41And you guys all sprint out the door towards the forest on the eastern end of the island.
- 54:48As you guys approach it, you step inside, you follow a sort of worn path that leads you
- 54:55to an old rickety shed.
- 55:00And there's a door.
- 55:01I imagine Braden is probably leading this group and he reaches over.
- 55:05He opens the door and inside you see this old generator.
- 55:10And you can see there is a main plug.
- 55:12It's a bigger plug.
- 55:13It's not like your typical extension cord cable plug.
- 55:15Right.
- 55:16This isn't a three prong.
- 55:17This is like a eight prong, like big plug.
- 55:19I don't know.
- 55:20I don't know.
- 55:21I like to see stuff.
- 55:22The more prongs, the more power and it has been completely disconnected from the generator.
- 55:30And he goes, whoa, this isn't out of gas.
- 55:36Someone disconnected that.
- 55:38And just as he says this, you hear a mournful howl erupt from just like probably a hundred
- 55:46feet away from you guys inside the trees and outsteps the shatter we silhouette of Big
- 55:54Foot.
- 56:11October 28th, Anno Domini 1586.
- 56:15Harker Alley, latitude 34 degrees north, longitude 76 degrees west.
- 56:21A grim discovery has been made this day.
- 56:24After a protracted voyage, bearing much needed supplies for the hopeful souls who sought to
- 56:29establish a foothold on this Roanoke Isle, we have arrived to find silence.
- 56:36An unnerving absolute silence hangs heavy in the air, where we expected to find the bustling
- 56:43activity of a fledgling colony.
- 56:45Upon venturing ashore, a scene of utter abandonment unfolded before our eyes.
- 56:52The structures they had erected stand empty, their doors ajar as if their inhabitants had
- 56:57departed in haste.
- 56:58But it is not mere absence we have found.
- 57:02Scattered amongst the dwellings and in the surrounding woods lay the remains of men.
- 57:07Fourteen souls by our count.
- 57:10Their bones, bleached by the sun and gnawed upon by scavengers, tell a horrifying tale.
- 57:16Mangled beyond recognition, their ends could not have been peaceful.
- 57:22The chilling fear gripped my men, and indeed my own heart.
- 57:26Could this be the work of the native tribes?
- 57:28Had they turned upon the settlers with savagery we had not anticipated?
- 57:33The thought sits ill within me, a stain upon this venture.
- 57:37We have gathered the remains as best we could, offering them what little dignity remained
- 57:41in hastily dug graves.
- 57:44The manner of their demise, however, has left a palpable unease amongst the crew.
- 57:50While my men searched the deserted cabins for any sign, any explanation for this tragedy,
- 57:56a disquieting sensation settled upon me.
- 58:00It was as if unseen eyes watched our every move from the shadow of the trees, a prickling
- 58:06on the back of the neck, a whisper on the wind that carries no discernible words.
- 58:11The very air felt heavy, charged with a silent dread.
- 58:17My men, too, spoke of feeling watched, of shadows that danced at the periphery of their
- 58:22vision.
- 58:23There is an ill omen about this place.
- 58:26A sense of lingering horror that chills the very marrow.
- 58:31I dare not linger here longer than necessary.
- 58:34As the plies we brought lie useless, their intended recipients gone to a grim fate.
- 58:40With heavy hearts and a profound sense of failure, we have decided to weigh anchor and
- 58:45depart this cursed isle.
- 58:48May God have mercy on the souls lost here, and grant us better fortune in our future endeavors.
- 58:54Walter Raleigh, Captain.
