topic. Good morning, today I'm talking to you
• 0:53
about a famous rock star. On March 5, 1975, she
• 0:57
marked a crucial moment in the life of Roar Stewart
• 0:59
when she met the fascinating Swedish actress
• 1:02
Brie Techland backstage of the Los Angeles Forum.
• 1:05
This meeting would have given way to a relationship
• 1:07
that, although it had inspired, famous songs,
• 1:10
it would have also become a complex legal cause.
• 1:31
At the time, Brit Eklund had a list of ex -partners
• 1:34
including names like Peter Sellers, Warren Beatty,
• 1:37
Lou Adler and Ryan O 'Neill. In 1974, Brit Eklund
• 1:42
had played the role of Mary Goodnight in the
• 1:45
007 movie The Man with the Golden Gun, starring
• 1:47
Roger Moore. After their meeting, the girl decided
• 1:51
to join Rod Stewart during her tours. Their relationship
• 1:54
was immediately noticed in the video of the successful
• 1:56
song Tonight's The Night Gonna Be Alright, in
• 2:00
which Eklund in the background played a significant

role whispering the French at the end of the

• 2:40
1977 brought with it a change of scenery in the
• 2:44
loving life of Rose Stewart. The artist was in
• 2:47
fact seen with another blonde actress, Liz Tridwell.
• 2:50
This marked the end of the relationship with
• 2:52
Eklund after two and a half years. However, the
• 2:54
separation turned out to be just the beginning
• 2:56
of a series of controversial events. Brita Eklund,
• 3:21
taking a stand on the Californian law that guaranteed
• 3:24
ex -partners some financial benefits and property
• 3:27
rights, took up a legal case against Stewart.
• 3:30
The Swedish actress asked the incredible for
• 3:32
the time the compensation of 12 .5 million dollars.
• 3:36
Her argument was based on the statement of having
• 3:38
sacrificed her career to support the life of
• 3:41
the famous singer. After negotiating outside
• 3:55
the court, the case was defined with a much more
• 3:58
modest sum of $ 500 ,000, ending in one of the
• 4:02
most controversial controversies of the time.
• 4:04
Despite the sentimental vicissitudes, Rose Stewart
• 4:07
continued with her love life in 1979 and married
• 4:11
the actress Alana Hamilton, but this time not
• 4:14
without legal precautions. Before the marriage,
• 4:17
Stewart in fact signed a pre -marital contract
• 4:20
with Hamilton, highlighting the acquisition of
