- 0:00Speaker 1: Here you are there, yes, and then then mainly from
- 0:04Speaker 1: the band Gofer here in here, in you from Australia. Yeah, really,
- 0:10Speaker 1: I'll take guitars, ernie players. Well, he wrote everything, so
- 0:15Speaker 1: he is the main man. But you know I'm doing
- 0:17Speaker 1: to talk today, so yeah, stuck with me again.
- 0:21Speaker 2: I've got someone there behind you with the hand up
- 0:23Speaker 2: years and your makers. I can't see your lips moving,
- 0:25Speaker 2: but I can hear stuff coming out.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Look. Look, when you do sold everything freezes up your muscles.
- 0:30Speaker 1: The muscles are facts. Everything is everything just gone of ships.
- 0:33Speaker 1: So I'm doing the best I can with what I've
- 0:35Speaker 1: got to work with. You know, it's it's it's not
- 0:37Speaker 1: as children children fifty years old. Man.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Oh so you've retired in the tropics, in the paradise here,
- 0:45Speaker 3: I may well done.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Oh yes, yes, up here it's somewhere sexy. It's it's
- 0:50Speaker 1: really nice. It's beautiful. It's beautiful day. It's a bit warm,
- 0:53Speaker 1: but you know this little leather is skin can handle.
- 0:56Speaker 1: It's okay.
- 0:58Speaker 2: The reason why I'm speaking today go for have been
- 1:01Speaker 2: busy Little Beavers indeed today dropping not only a new single,
- 1:05Speaker 2: Party in the Sky, but also the rest of the
- 1:07Speaker 2: album totle buddy. It's like I've got the same spin.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Ambitious for a band. No one's really hurt of you
- 1:12Speaker 2: with things in one day, you know.
- 1:15Speaker 1: I mean we'd be busy goofers, mate, not beavers. We
- 1:17Speaker 1: go throughs. But why start off slow? Like just come
- 1:20Speaker 1: out with all guns blowers? And you know we've we've
- 1:22Speaker 1: been trying to get this album mounted so long, and
- 1:26Speaker 1: it's like our lits has come out of the cup
- 1:27Speaker 1: of clips and you know, comes out, come out foreign
- 1:30Speaker 1: on all the cylinders. No, that's that's the goal. You know.
- 1:33Speaker 1: We want to come out with a bit of a
- 1:34Speaker 1: bang and let people know we've got some super and
- 1:37Speaker 1: good tunes they sure listen to and party out too.
- 1:42Speaker 3: I will come out with a bang.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Indeed, you have my friend with the signal Party in
- 1:46Speaker 2: the Sky, which is a fun little slab of what
- 1:48Speaker 2: do you call party metal, which.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Is funny enough. That song about partying on a plane
- 1:53Speaker 3: in the sky. Is that how you start up the side?
- 1:57Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah. We like to tind We like to
- 1:59Speaker 1: drink every day and smoke darriers and not do much
- 2:03Speaker 1: else and just you know, we'll play guitars and write
- 2:05Speaker 1: some music and do this crazy stuff, but you know, yes,
- 2:08Speaker 1: that's what we do. You know, flying the plane is
- 2:09Speaker 1: really boring, so a lot better way to pass the
- 2:12Speaker 1: time and just to get really tested. Drink the plane dry,
- 2:15Speaker 1: you know, and just pass the fuck out. And then
- 2:17Speaker 1: then while are you your land and you're good to go,
- 2:20Speaker 1: you know, well not so good ship really, but you know,
- 2:23Speaker 1: at least you've slept use six hours and and then
- 2:26Speaker 1: and then the time's gone. And yes, we like to party.
- 2:28Speaker 1: We like to party anywhere, so you know, whether it's
- 2:30Speaker 1: it's you know, in the bathtub or or you know,
- 2:34Speaker 1: in bed or a plane. You know, we just we
- 2:36Speaker 1: just like the party, man, it's what we do. We
- 2:39Speaker 1: just you know, reflects our music. All the music. It's
- 2:41Speaker 1: a lot of fun. It's about you tarling and dancing
- 2:44Speaker 1: and washing and headbanging and just having a good time.
- 2:46Speaker 1: There's a big MIxS of everything in there, so there's
- 2:49Speaker 1: some kind of sums up a lot about what the
- 2:51Speaker 1: album's about. And you know, we'll catch intro and from
- 2:55Speaker 1: cool groovy riffs and then you really touchy chorus, smoke it,
- 3:01Speaker 1: smoke along to it along scrutch stuff. We think, so
- 3:04Speaker 1: it makes us not feel so old anymore.
- 3:09Speaker 2: It's a shame you can't record the sound of someone drinking,
- 3:12Speaker 2: because that would have been a great little effect over that.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Yes, well, yes too. You know another album, we could
- 3:19Speaker 1: do that. You know, there's always time for these things,
- 3:21Speaker 1: you know, we can just chuck it in later.
- 3:25Speaker 3: The film that goes along with a song.
- 3:27Speaker 2: It's basically a snapshot of go for any time you
- 3:30Speaker 2: go on holidays that you say, drink and smoke on
- 3:32Speaker 2: the plane, get kicked off mid flight, and then got
- 3:35Speaker 2: to spend the remainder of your time straddling the wing
- 3:37Speaker 2: like I don't know why you even bought the board.
- 3:39Speaker 3: In the first place. Made if that's how you get
- 3:41Speaker 3: to behave like this is twenty twenty six and you have.
- 3:43Speaker 1: To oh yeah, well you know, when you bit, they
- 3:47Speaker 1: let you, let you off a little bit more, they
- 3:48Speaker 1: give you a little bit more fuck, you know, So
- 3:50Speaker 1: that the good thing. Nowadays we have our own jets,
- 3:52Speaker 1: so we can flying where the fuck we want and
- 3:55Speaker 1: just behave anyway. We can just drink with piers, piss
- 3:57Speaker 1: from the corner, you know, pull the wing, the full
- 4:00Speaker 1: the door off, you know, storm the cock pit. Yeah,
- 4:03Speaker 1: we we owned the phone, we owned we had the
- 4:04Speaker 1: boss so we can. We got free rangers. That's that's good.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Do that and patting these guys. The first time we
- 4:10Speaker 1: ever used the jets, so we used it effectively and
- 4:14Speaker 1: just really did. It was of chaos. We we did't
- 4:18Speaker 1: have flying a little bit. We don't have to fly
- 4:19Speaker 1: to fine, but we tried and it wasn't good. You know,
- 4:22Speaker 1: me much sick, but we were pretty good. So you know,
- 4:25Speaker 1: we didn't really know the man the difference, to be honest,
- 4:27Speaker 1: we just we were all heads always spinning anywhere. So yeah,
- 4:31Speaker 1: you know, hey, Anny, weant I mean that.
- 4:34Speaker 3: You got kicked off your own private jet?
- 4:37Speaker 1: Is that right? No, we just did it ourselves. We
- 4:40Speaker 1: took ourselves off. That's what that's what we do. We
- 4:43Speaker 1: just just just we don't even know what we're doing
- 4:44Speaker 1: half the time, and all the sun we're on the
- 4:46Speaker 1: flying on the wing and like, well what happened here?
- 4:49Speaker 1: What the fuck going on? And the doors gone, and yeah,
- 4:52Speaker 1: it was a bit of a struggle getting back in.
- 4:54Speaker 1: You have it, that's okay, it's it's uh, you know,
- 4:57Speaker 1: you're you're living. You learn well, yeah we don't learn
- 4:59Speaker 1: so much, but you know, we're still I was still
- 5:01Speaker 1: kicking and it's going to take a lot more than
- 5:03Speaker 1: you know, hanging off there were not a plane to
- 5:05Speaker 1: give it a bush.
- 5:07Speaker 2: I think it's important to putting it too, because I
- 5:09Speaker 2: noticed you did put the disclaimer in the music video.
- 5:11Speaker 2: But children under the age of six should not try
- 5:14Speaker 2: going on the wing of a plane while it's moving.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Could they not safe? Oh? Look, I don't think anyone
- 5:20Speaker 1: under the age of two hundred and fifty six shouldn't
- 5:22Speaker 1: do it. You know that's it's not a smart move.
- 5:24Speaker 1: It's it's not it's not going to work. No, it's
- 5:27Speaker 1: it's just duty really that you know. No, I don't
- 5:30Speaker 1: recommend you really do much of what we do until
- 5:34Speaker 1: you get our age, which is unlikely. We just know
- 5:37Speaker 1: we're miracles, freaks of nature. I'd say we have freaks,
- 5:42Speaker 1: definitely freaks, and I've been called that a number of
- 5:44Speaker 1: times in my lifetime, and so as Ernie. We've we've
- 5:47Speaker 1: been caught all sorts of things. That's probably the nicest
- 5:50Speaker 1: things that really freaks when really think about it. Part
- 5:56Speaker 1: of the.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Diskuy follows your early debut single Cooper Mail, like, I
- 6:01Speaker 2: can't even say they probably made what does it mean?
- 6:04Speaker 1: It's Indonesian it's it's Indonesians. So coupu coupa beings butterfly
- 6:08Speaker 1: and malama means evening or night, and just it was
- 6:11Speaker 1: just about butterflies in the night. You know, me and
- 6:13Speaker 1: me and any nature lovers, we really love watching all
- 6:17Speaker 1: kinds of animals apply just doing their thing, and butterflies
- 6:21Speaker 1: at night. You know, it's just it's just marvelous stuff. Really.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Butterflies are a bit, very very interesting creatures, so many colors,
- 6:28Speaker 1: just just beautiful to watch. And that's pretty much. Nothing
- 6:31Speaker 1: much else to the story, just just that, yeah, just
- 6:35Speaker 1: living from Indonesian language and having fun with it. And
- 6:38Speaker 1: then they're doing a stupid put them in streets of
- 6:41Speaker 1: snow and balle you know, and causing okay here and
- 6:46Speaker 1: more problems for the locals. But you know they still
- 6:48Speaker 1: like us because we just pay them all off and
- 6:51Speaker 1: they're happy ends. So it's okay.
- 6:53Speaker 2: You tell me you've written to the whole song of
- 6:56Speaker 2: Party medal about Indonesian butterflies.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Yeah, yes we did. We're abating, not help to me,
- 7:06Speaker 1: butterflies in general, just butterflies everywhere, okay, all right.
- 7:09Speaker 3: Just butterflies are speaking an Asian.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I don't speaking in Asian. We don't speak on but yeah,
- 7:16Speaker 1: yeah that Butterflies were like.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Okay, you guys have got a little bit going on music,
- 7:22Speaker 2: so you don't just party in your place with music
- 7:24Speaker 2: as well, So how would you say party in the
- 7:27Speaker 2: sky bands musically?
- 7:29Speaker 3: On what covid do you start with? Cooper Cooper mail?
- 7:33Speaker 1: Well, I guess Cooper couter Mom is just some introduction
- 7:36Speaker 1: to the band, you know, with all the superthizers and
- 7:38Speaker 1: so I guess groomy riots and stuff, and we don't
- 7:42Speaker 1: want to come out, you know, too strong, just kind
- 7:44Speaker 1: of goes in. Let people give us. You give people
- 7:47Speaker 1: a bit of the five and then we're not partying.
- 7:49Speaker 1: This guy was maybe a bit of a strongest song.
- 7:51Speaker 1: So and the film couts I think that it's a
- 7:53Speaker 1: bit more wild and uh, it's just got a good
- 7:57Speaker 1: chorus and that's you kind of you. This Year follows
- 8:04Speaker 1: on from that, and then then the rest of the
- 8:05Speaker 1: album is a bunch of different styles of metals. You know,
- 8:10Speaker 1: We've got a bit of ground cords, a death metal,
- 8:13Speaker 1: bit of slam. There's some little grubridge, there's a little
- 8:16Speaker 1: bit of trash. Yeah, maybe it had black bet possibly,
- 8:20Speaker 1: I don't know any rock sort of stuff, and then
- 8:23Speaker 1: all the synthesizers just to give that little kind of
- 8:26Speaker 1: dance se element, you know, and then and then the
- 8:29Speaker 1: catchy choruses we're all going to sing along. So it's
- 8:32Speaker 1: just we're just a mishmash of fun stuff all throwing
- 8:37Speaker 1: together and it seems to work. I don't know I
- 8:39Speaker 1: really did it. Any growths are He's a genius, not me.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I'm just just some you know, old pieces of muppy
- 8:46Speaker 1: stuff that tries to play guitar.
- 8:49Speaker 2: You've obviously got a pretty pretty out there sense of
- 8:52Speaker 2: human here, guys, because I don't think that I didn't
- 8:55Speaker 2: get the whole go for tubtle Buddies thing going on
- 8:57Speaker 2: with the album title that I wasn't getting.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Bring it up. I was going to dignify it by
- 9:02Speaker 3: bringing it up.
- 9:02Speaker 2: But I sort of saving about you guys, and and
- 9:05Speaker 2: the way you fuddel things into.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I'm not really touly sure what you're talking about there.
- 9:11Speaker 1: It's it's just, you know, we just came up to
- 9:14Speaker 1: the title. It's you know, we're two old people and gophers.
- 9:17Speaker 1: That's how we get around, you know. Yeah, Legs is
- 9:21Speaker 1: just usefuls really, And then so a lot of things do.
- 9:25Speaker 1: But you know, and then you know, we gophers, but
- 9:28Speaker 1: you know, it's not that exciting for an album, so
- 9:31Speaker 1: or you know, gophers are kick fear of animals? Have
- 9:35Speaker 1: you call it gopher? Yeah? Okay, what do you go
- 9:37Speaker 1: for to do? Well, go for dig tunnels? And you know,
- 9:40Speaker 1: me and me and any of the year's got our
- 9:41Speaker 1: source into lots and lots of trouble. We're always digging
- 9:44Speaker 1: ourselves out of holes. So it was like it kind
- 9:46Speaker 1: of fits, you know, like we're just constantly digging holes
- 9:50Speaker 1: and try and get out of them, and and that's all.
- 9:53Speaker 1: That's the best buddies for centuries. So well, not a
- 9:56Speaker 1: tunn of buddies. And you make a couple of cute
- 9:58Speaker 1: little gophers and trying to crawl out the crawl out
- 10:01Speaker 1: of the you know, the soil, like I mean, he
- 10:04Speaker 1: was unfortunately I was doing this, yeah, current vaults because
- 10:07Speaker 1: we had kids heads. But hey, you know, can't we
- 10:10Speaker 1: once go for it?
- 10:12Speaker 3: That's it? Mate? Probably a few people what you listen
- 10:16Speaker 3: to this to think and what the funk? How do
- 10:18Speaker 3: these pad about?
- 10:19Speaker 1: Mate?
- 10:19Speaker 3: So I hope for exploded out of nowhere? Pretty much?
- 10:22Speaker 3: Tell us a bit more about the band. Where you
- 10:25Speaker 3: come from, what you want.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Where we've come from, well, I mean it goes a
- 10:30Speaker 1: long way. We came back. We used to be in
- 10:33Speaker 1: the in the in England, you know, Fanny Barks. That
- 10:36Speaker 1: was much going on there. We know jobs and we
- 10:39Speaker 1: just steal things and to get by. And yeah, we
- 10:42Speaker 1: have saw a couple of recorders from this well we
- 10:45Speaker 1: do loser and uh and and we just yeah, well
- 10:49Speaker 1: we got busted and then they threw us on the
- 10:51Speaker 1: boat to Australia and you know, but at least we
- 10:53Speaker 1: had recorders for the first half months or eight months
- 10:55Speaker 1: for that journey and yeah, yeah, we just ourselves along
- 11:01Speaker 1: into Australia and we've just just gone from there. It
- 11:04Speaker 1: took us a long time to kill. Guitars were available,
- 11:06Speaker 1: and we had maybe some money together, and we just
- 11:09Speaker 1: learned to play and he looks some cool ideas and
- 11:14Speaker 1: that's just walk from there. You know, the fifties, sixties, seventies, eighties,
- 11:18Speaker 1: and you know the development of heavy metals and the
- 11:22Speaker 1: different genres that we got to latch and loved it
- 11:25Speaker 1: and it just just sort of exploded from there and
- 11:28Speaker 1: we finally got to record some stuff. And he's pretty
- 11:31Speaker 1: good with that Google thing, and you learned a lot
- 11:34Speaker 1: of stuff and did all himself, and you know, we
- 11:37Speaker 1: just we just want to have a good time. Man's
- 11:40Speaker 1: life should be about having a good time, you know,
- 11:42Speaker 1: it's not too stressful. And we just want people to
- 11:45Speaker 1: listen to an album that makes them laugh and makes
- 11:48Speaker 1: some want to do cool fun things dancing or singing
- 11:51Speaker 1: or whatever you like to do with your metals, your
- 11:54Speaker 1: heavy metals. And yeah, we just want to We just
- 11:58Speaker 1: wanted to crowding News down or anyone who create a
- 12:01Speaker 1: new sound. We think we've got it. You know, I
- 12:03Speaker 1: don't think I can. I don't think he could. I
- 12:05Speaker 1: don't think there's anything else out of there life. I
- 12:07Speaker 1: try it, you know, it's just a big missmash of stuff.
- 12:11Speaker 1: It's pretty cool, I think. And yeah, it was just
- 12:14Speaker 1: keep gunning work. I think we'll just keep writing front
- 12:18Speaker 1: of music for people to enjoy themselves through it. If
- 12:21Speaker 1: you don't, well, just enjoy ourselves, you know, why not?
- 12:24Speaker 1: You know? Yeah?
- 12:25Speaker 2: Cool? Well, I reckon you have actually made made yourselves
- 12:28Speaker 2: a pretty significant enemy already, though, mate, Like I have
- 12:31Speaker 2: heard on the grapevine that Keith Richards has gunning for
- 12:33Speaker 2: you guys. Because you've taken over as being the oldest
- 12:36Speaker 2: men in music.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Yes, well, yeah, Keith Richards, I don't think he is real.
- 12:41Speaker 1: I think he's a hologram and he's he's well. Then again,
- 12:44Speaker 1: reviews their bodies a lot, so it's possible. You know,
- 12:46Speaker 1: there's some human body to be resilience, and I think
- 12:50Speaker 1: he's a classic example of that as someone who should
- 12:53Speaker 1: not be alive really, but he's still out there. And
- 12:56Speaker 1: but luck he can keep in jump with one us.
- 12:58Speaker 1: You know, we'll just we'll pick him up and trivate
- 13:00Speaker 1: Jet and then we'll you know, we'll get we'll be
- 13:02Speaker 1: pissed together. We don't like making enemies. We'd like to
- 13:06Speaker 1: make friends, you know, with the placid guys, and you know,
- 13:09Speaker 1: we're just getting pissed and whatever else he wants and
- 13:12Speaker 1: keep you, Matthew and me, we'll be best friends. I'm sure.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Maybe could be a collaboration you go for. Yeah, well
- 13:22Speaker 1: that's a pretty that's good idea. We might steal that
- 13:24Speaker 1: from you. Chris, So that's a good one like that.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Are you're a funny bloke? Yeah?
- 13:30Speaker 3: Personally is made it one light in there that took
- 13:33Speaker 3: my eyelight.
- 13:34Speaker 2: It says your aim is to we use new life
- 13:37Speaker 2: and enjoyment in the current Australian heavy the climate.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Like it sounds to me like you think the music
- 13:42Speaker 3: climate is pretty.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Stale at the moment, which isn't really a good book
- 13:45Speaker 2: for advantage starting out unless you can back it up.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Look, you know, it's kind of all you know, chimu
- 13:51Speaker 1: and cheek. I guess you know, we we we we
- 13:53Speaker 1: used half a time and can harding bread with so
- 13:57Speaker 1: you know, yeah, one of the music scenes is really
- 14:00Speaker 1: good and a lot of serious bands it's and that's fine.
- 14:03Speaker 1: You know, there's a place for serious stuff. But I
- 14:04Speaker 1: think you know, we need more fun bands. And that's
- 14:08Speaker 1: that's that's our gimmicking, our angle. And you know, all
- 14:13Speaker 1: the serious bands can do their thing, and you the
- 14:16Speaker 1: technical bands can do their thing, medical bands and and
- 14:19Speaker 1: whatever whatever. You yes, because you will just you'll just
- 14:24Speaker 1: we'll go to the other side and just just do
- 14:26Speaker 1: be crazy whatever comes to our brain, slushy brains, what's
- 14:32Speaker 1: left of them, pickle brains and just mixed together some
- 14:36Speaker 1: wild stuff and you know, and yeah, if you enjoy
- 14:40Speaker 1: your serious stuff, good for you, that's great. If you
- 14:43Speaker 1: enjoy some silly stuff, we'll even better for you, that's
- 14:45Speaker 1: even better and you know you can you like it
- 14:48Speaker 1: all if it cares whatever, just as long as you're
- 14:50Speaker 1: having a good time. And you know we're trying to
- 14:53Speaker 1: not make enemies. We're all out friends. You know. We'd
- 14:55Speaker 1: like to uh, you know, we'd love to do a
- 14:57Speaker 1: gig with tak t our Drive so likely you never
- 15:02Speaker 1: know if it's to praise the world out there and
- 15:04Speaker 1: eything is possible. Can't write it and you can't write
- 15:07Speaker 1: it off.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Been long enough to see pretty much everything, mate, so
- 15:10Speaker 2: you wouldn't write anything off it, you no, never, so
- 15:16Speaker 2: tell me to both I have aspirations to play live
- 15:18Speaker 2: all or ay too old or be just planning on
- 15:22Speaker 2: being a Alban Projects US band.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Well yeah, here's the singer, me and me and we's
- 15:29Speaker 1: name Early yet. Yeah. We we've discussed it and we
- 15:33Speaker 1: do like playing and you know, we'd like to think
- 15:36Speaker 1: we could we can pull it off, you know, leg
- 15:38Speaker 1: it's like I said, a really crap You know. The
- 15:41Speaker 1: crazy thing is once we put a guitar on you,
