- 0:00Dr. Slaton Live: From the inside to the outside.
- 0:02Dr. Slaton Live: Here we go.
- 0:03Dr. Slaton Live: I'm Dr Christopher Kevin Slayton, host of the Brain's Body Podcast.
- 0:08Dr. Slaton Live: This is brain talk I'm talking about.
- 0:10Dr. Slaton Live: You got my new book.
- 0:11Dr. Slaton Live: Get my new book if you don't, because we're talking about the inside out, because the environment is set up for you to experience at birth.
- 0:20Dr. Slaton Live: I'm talking about from the inside out.
- 0:22Dr. Slaton Live: I'm saying that you were born to receive information and to process the experience of self and that the crying, the hurt, the sadness that you were displaying was in search of the contact and interaction because you were on a path to creating change in that environment.
- 0:44Dr. Slaton Live: Everybody was supposed to adjust to you and become a part of your future.
- 0:49Dr. Slaton Live: It's like the new computer you go to the store and you buy.
- 0:52Dr. Slaton Live: The computer is designed to change you.
- 0:55Dr. Slaton Live: You are designed to change the world.
- 0:58Dr. Slaton Live: We talk about social, environmental entrepreneurship.
- 1:02Dr. Slaton Live: We're talking about how do you evolve from where you are to a greater level of surprise, because you manufacture from the inside out meaning.
- 1:14Dr. Slaton Live: Listen now, it's not confusing.
- 1:17Dr. Slaton Live: The brain is in the lead of the body.
- 1:20Dr. Slaton Live: The body does not lead the brain, the brain is the body and the brain manufactures the experience of self through a sense of feel for how the brain functions Through an awareness of self, others and the environment.
- 1:36Dr. Slaton Live: I'm talking about the emerging experience of acquiring knowledge from the contact.
- 1:42Dr. Slaton Live: Interaction at birth Creates a knowledge base.
- 1:45Dr. Slaton Live: So you keep talking to your child and your child begins to talk back through the reflection of that knowledge base that is being created.
- 1:54Dr. Slaton Live: And if the child has free speech, then that child is evolving before your eyes and you're continuing to change who and what you are eyes and you're continuing to change who and what you are, because this child is a technology and you're trying to figure out how to maintain its growth cycle, not from a book but from what you're experiencing through the child's sense of feel for self, lifting you up and saying can you feel me?
- 2:19Dr. Slaton Live: And if you can feel that child, then you're evolving and that's what we're talking about.
- 2:24Dr. Slaton Live: So when I talk about the crisis of self, let's not get it twisted.
- 2:28Dr. Slaton Live: I'm saying that the body-mind twisted backwards.
- 2:31Dr. Slaton Live: The mind is the reflective capacity to recall, right Recall, but not think Recall.
- 2:39Dr. Slaton Live: It's a reaction, a sense of feel for self.
- 2:42Dr. Slaton Live: The brain's body is a response system to the environment.
- 2:47Dr. Slaton Live: So if you make a mistake you get back up because your sense of feel for self is care, and it's care to help learn how to lead self through the crises of self in the environment.
- 3:02Dr. Slaton Live: Because what are you learning?
- 3:04Dr. Slaton Live: How to live, learning how to learn, learning how to think, learning how to respond.
- 3:11Dr. Slaton Live: Now, these words are all in the book, but I'm saying to you, the crises is that we must understand our environmental influences, and that includes us, because we are also environments.
- 3:21Dr. Slaton Live: So I'm not trying to twist it, I'm trying to let you see that human systems science is about studying brain, body and sense events through sense and receive path research, so you can begin to understand how your brain responds, how the body reacts when it's managed and controlled.
- 3:41Dr. Slaton Live: It still reacts, but it reacts through the brain's systems, neural systems and the organizational aspects of your sensory, your senses.
- 3:52Dr. Slaton Live: And so what I'm saying to you is that this is all about environmental learning of self, because self is a technology, and your superpowers and beginning to understand how these things that you see others do and then self do are manifestations of inner creativity.
- 4:13Dr. Slaton Live: I say creativity.
- 4:15Dr. Slaton Live: And so here we go, because there's no, there's no confusion, there's a confluence of understanding that, as I grew up, I had to come to terms with the things that I could do that other people didn't.
- 4:27Dr. Slaton Live: But the problem was this I didn't understand the environment.
- 4:30Dr. Slaton Live: I was gifted and talented but I could not transfer it intellectually because my brain wasn't on, my brain was off.
- 4:39Dr. Slaton Live: Because you're not taught through a sense of feel, you're taught through a sense of.
- 4:43Dr. Slaton Live: All we want you to do is like Jay did it, we want you to do it like Mike did it, we want you to do it like Jill did it, we want you to think like that, we want you to act like that.
- 4:54Dr. Slaton Live: So there's no creativity, there's no sense that the brain exists and that you must talk to the brain and not the body.
- 5:02Dr. Slaton Live: Because you're saying follow that body, see that body, listen to that body, listen to what comes, and not the body.
- 5:04Dr. Slaton Live: Because you're saying follow that body, see that body, listen to that body, listen to what comes out of that body.
- 5:07Dr. Slaton Live: That's what I want you to do and that's programming your sense of feel to be absent of the brain-body connection, because you're living through the body-mind and I have a problem with that.
- 5:18Dr. Slaton Live: I had a problem with that because there was something inside me, like it was inside of you, that you knew there was more to the equation than just going to school than just interacting in your neighborhood.
- 5:32Dr. Slaton Live: There was more to you and that's what made you different.
- 5:35Dr. Slaton Live: That's why you felt so uncomfortable, because there was things that you were observing that you knew, man, that don't seem right, because there was no thought in it, it was just behavior patterns, people just reacting and acting out, people just not willing to calm themselves down long to experience the moment.
- 5:55Dr. Slaton Live: I mean, you were in it, you could see it.
- 5:57Dr. Slaton Live: It was like you had this superpower you can jump in front of.
- 6:01Dr. Slaton Live: That's what I'm talking about Jump in front of and receive the information, because you have forethought, because your forethought comes from the fact that you're settling yourself down and began to realize if I understand how I work, then I can understand how other things work system, science and then I can get into the essence of brain talk, because my brain talks back communication, and because my brain talks back and I'm analyzing brain, body and sense events, and then I understand sense and receive path functions, social environment meets the neurophysics of self and the process variable is that I'm a human being and I change because I feel things, but I have to choose to participate in those changes and when I participate in those changes, I then, am performing sense and receive path research to begin to understand the foundations of where I am, why I am, how I do the things that I do.
- 7:04Dr. Slaton Live: No, because you see their manifestations of your technology.
- 7:06Dr. Slaton Live: The computer can't do it, but you can and you have to understand this because the technology today is in front of your face and it's telling you this is what you do, but you don't understand.
- 7:17Dr. Slaton Live: You got to get through the environment, understand the environment stimuli and understand that your brain is designed to handle that from the inside out.
- 7:27Dr. Slaton Live: And in the process of you going through the pain, hurt and sadness of lifting yourself up to compete, you're evolving from the inside out at new levels of functionality and you're responding simultaneously.
- 7:40Dr. Slaton Live: And then you begin to find that pleasure, that comfort and that healing from the sacrifice of actually learning through a sense of feel for self that no one talks about and the brain, brain and the lead of your body.
- 7:56Dr. Slaton Live: And it's measurable.
- 7:58Dr. Slaton Live: Because you know, yesterday and I say this frequently you went into the environment.
- 8:03Dr. Slaton Live: Someone said something to you.
- 8:05Dr. Slaton Live: You reacted.
- 8:06Dr. Slaton Live: Why?
- 8:06Dr. Slaton Live: Because that's what you're trained to do.
- 8:07Dr. Slaton Live: You better not let them get away with that.
- 8:09Dr. Slaton Live: You reacted and when you reacted, what happened?
- 8:12Dr. Slaton Live: Did you catch yourself from falling?
- 8:15Dr. Slaton Live: No, you didn't.
- 8:15Dr. Slaton Live: You rode with the punch and said I'll accept the consequences.
- 8:18Dr. Slaton Live: So you dummied down your sense and receive path functions.
- 8:22Dr. Slaton Live: There's no research in that.
- 8:24Dr. Slaton Live: I got to catch up to that reaction Because, man, when I reflect because you don't be dumb, you're just in the program You're still able to reflect and realize, wow, that was a bad decision.
- 8:37Dr. Slaton Live: But what are you talking about?
- 8:39Dr. Slaton Live: Environmental learning of self?
- 8:41Dr. Slaton Live: Because self has to understand how that feedback to catch up with that negative flow of energy that you released, can be repaired.
- 8:50Dr. Slaton Live: See, they call that remorse, catching up to what you did and then showing, wow, I'm so sad that I did that, but if I had another opportunity I'd do it this way.
- 9:01Dr. Slaton Live: But would you really Because that's the balance Can you move beyond a sense of to actually being able to explain yourself, because you feel the care to protect your brain from despair, when you don't try to participate in learning how to live through the crisis of self, because self is gonna be in crisis in and out of crisis lifelong, because you have to learn how to live in the natural world, man-made world, your mother and father's world and in your own world with other people and the confluence of all that is moving through pain, hurt, sadness, love, hate, relationships and understanding that the way you get through it is by grounding yourself in the neurophysics, because you need to understand the invisible, the things you can't see.
- 9:58Dr. Slaton Live: But you can feel what I just said a sense of feel for self and the brain.
- 10:03Dr. Slaton Live: You can feel your brain, you can feel yourself listening, you can feel yourself responding to what I'm saying.
- 10:10Dr. Slaton Live: You can feel your reaction or response, and if it's a reaction, is it because of fear, of trying to participate in learning how your brain works and being afraid that you'll lose control because you're doing something outside the box?
- 10:27Dr. Slaton Live: I mean, it's not framed for you.
- 10:30Dr. Slaton Live: You have to figure it out.
- 10:32Dr. Slaton Live: You have to move through the unknown to levels of knowing where you begin to realize your superpower, your superpowers.
- 10:39Dr. Slaton Live: And that's why you walk through these environments with this high level of caution, because you know you're different and you know that everybody else is on guard to identify you.
- 10:52Dr. Slaton Live: Because you are thinking I mean really thinking Through your feelings of self, other people, the environment, home, school, neighborhood, workplace, network, family, education, government, business systems.
- 11:06Dr. Slaton Live: You're doing all this work but you're excelling where everybody else says you can't, because you are moving from the inside out and, yes, it doesn't come as easy, but your progress is steady, and you know why.
- 11:20Dr. Slaton Live: But your progress is steady and you know why.
- 11:23Dr. Slaton Live: So when people come to you, they're coming to steal your ideas.
- 11:26Dr. Slaton Live: Because you are fluid in your feelings and thinking things through the way things impact you.
- 11:33Dr. Slaton Live: Why?
- 11:34Dr. Slaton Live: Because you're processing.
- 11:36Dr. Slaton Live: How did you, how did you do that?
- 11:38Dr. Slaton Live: Well, the first thing I had to do was just hell and accept the fact that it happened and it's going to happen again unless I do something about it.
- 11:46Dr. Slaton Live: See what I'm saying.
- 11:46Dr. Slaton Live: Problem solved, now what did you have to do?
- 11:49Dr. Slaton Live: Self-learning what is it that you did?
- 11:51Dr. Slaton Live: I had to learn how to cool myself down and pause before I react.
- 11:57Dr. Slaton Live: And when I paused before I react, the reaction became a response because I was informing self.
- 12:06Dr. Slaton Live: And in the process of informing self, my response was full of the experience of what I was moving through from the inside out.
- 12:15Dr. Slaton Live: So when I released the forward feed, the forward feed was a feedback cycle, along with that introspection that I was moving through.
- 12:26Dr. Slaton Live: And I can verify because my feedback is coming back to me through my sense path where I can see it empirically when I look at the environment that I'm messing with, when I look at other people that I'm dealing with, when I look at my sense of feel for self on the inside and how it recognizes that information flow and the reflection that kicks in.
- 12:50Dr. Slaton Live: Now, what did I just now say?
- 12:52Dr. Slaton Live: This is the brain's body.
- 12:53Dr. Slaton Live: This is Doc Slade Live.
- 12:54Dr. Slaton Live: This is brain talk.
- 12:56Dr. Slaton Live: This is brain talk.
- 12:57Dr. Slaton Live: Thank you, get the book.
- 12:59Dr. Slaton Live: Get the book.
- 13:00Dr. Slaton Live: Thank you.
